Someone's about to punch you and he's bigger than you. You could articulate, yeah, if he hits me, I'm done, right? Um, let's say you're older, you're a senior and someone is younger and more athletic and, and someone is going to punch you or let's say the person is a trained fighter, trained boxer, trained MMA or something like that. Then you can articulate. So again, it always comes down to, um, what were the facts known to you at the time? What was the threat level to you at the time? And that's, what's going to dictate if you acted reasonable. Remember guys, it's objective reasonableness based on the facts and circumstances known to the individual at the time. So yes, you're right. At face value, someone punching you one time typically does not justify lethal force. However, there are certain circumstances that can, um, justify use of lethal force with a punch depending on the assailant, the person, uh, that's using the force. You know, what was said, where you are, let's say it's nighttime, it's dark, you can't see much, you get hit one time and you're like, what the hell? You can't see what's going on. They're wearing all black. They came up behind you. Right? All of these things play a role. You know, they make a comment like, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to kill you or some shit like that. With one punch. I'll explain, guys, a federal extradition warrant here in a second for you guys. But the question, I'm not a prosecutor, but a county attorney wants to keep chasing this person around. But it's really hard without cooperation from the federal government. So can he just continue to not show up? I mean, could this go on for years where he just never gets turned in and he never gets caught? Should he or can he are two different things. Both. And he very possibly might stay away forever and we never may see him again in the state of Minnesota. Should he? Arguably, no. I mean, he's been charged with a crime, you know, three felonies, four felonies and a misdemeanor. So he's been charged with enough that he should face the, you know, the law like anybody else would. So let's say he's living. Yeah, highly likely. He's not even from Minnesota. He probably came in from like the southwest border. In a state, especially if he's living in a state that is run a Republican governor. It's got a Republican legislature, Republican governor. Could he be protected in that state? Well, then they wouldn't extradite him. They would, they would just, it wouldn't be so much protected. They just wouldn't agree to extradite. And there's some states that will extradite and some won't. Some won't go through the cost. Some would just not even pick him up. So, yeah, there's those things that could happen. Whether or not it'll be along party lines, maybe, but probably, but who knows. Okay. And there's another ICE agent that they charged, I forget when, a month or two ago. And that was because he pointed a gun at an individual. They've charged that person. That person has yet to be arrested. He's still out there in the loose. Yeah. So this is a trend. It's, well, yeah. I mean, they've done quite a job of protecting. All the agents, I mean, the ones that have shot people, you know, they, or actually killed people, not just shot them. They've done everything. The feds have done everything possible to protect those people and protect names and protect investigations and have not cooperated as far as those cases go. But protecting them only goes so far. I mean, Maury already said yesterday, the president can't pardon these individuals. Cannot pardon. No. Why? You cannot, you can pardon federal crimes. It's a state case. But not state crimes. That's going to have to be the governor of Minnesota. So there are circumstances. Certain circumstances where people have been federally charged, then those can be pardoned by the, by the president of the United States. But it takes a governor to, to, to pardon somebody for state crimes, depending on the laws in that state. Okay. So let's say that this individual, Christian Castro, never comes, never turns himself in, is never arrested by his. He's going to turn himself in. He has no choice. If you're a law enforcement, there's a warrant out for your arrest, bro. Your chain of command is going to tell you, you need to turn yourself in immediately. Like, yeah, bro, you're going to, he's going to turn himself in. Local authorities, wherever he lives. Does that impact his record? I mean, is he able to get a job having an open warrant in another state? Or does it not always show? If you're living in Arizona, for example, and they do a background check, you know, I mean. It should show up on a background check, whether or not he's got jobs that they'll do the background check or they'll do jobs that they don't care about the background check. You know, that was, that was one of the issues with the ICE agents that were brought in is whether or not there was much vetting. That went on or whether it was just whoever showed up, wanted a job, got it. And that's where, you know, one of the questions is if they do get this guy and they do convict this guy, what do we face for sentencing? In the typical police officer law enforcement circumstance, you have a tough time sentencing police officers because they don't fit inside the box. You know, you get charged with a felony and normally there's something in the background that leads to these things. Police officers don't have that because they wouldn't have that or they wouldn't be police officers. We don't know yet what these guys have in their background. Okay, let me explain this for you guys. This is the problem. So many people are stupid. They can't explain things. Let's, let's, let's break this down. So let me be clear. This isn't a federal warrant, guys. Okay, what this is, is a state warrant that has full extradition. Big fucking difference. Okay, a federal warrant would be a warrant that's signed by a federal judge. Okay, like a magistrate or a district judge, typically a magistrate judge, right? To. For a federal crime. And then what ends up happening is it gets filed. You're wanted on federal charges. It is what it is. Wherever you're caught, you're going to go, right? Because obviously federal is federal. There's FBI agents, U.S. Marshals, HSI, DEA, all over the country. There's districts all over the country which are federal. So if you got a federal warrant out, if you get encountered by the local police, you're definitely going to go to jail. State cases are a bit different. With a state case, it goes like this. Okay, what ends up happening is the district, like the county attorney, you know, the district attorney of that area in that state or that county, whatever it may be, they issue a warrant, right, by a judge, by a state judge. And what ends up happening is when they issue that warrant, that warrant's going to go into, and this is both federal and state, guys, it's going to go into something known as NCIC. Okay, NCIC, guys, is the National Crime Information Center. Okay, it's monitored by the FBI. Okay. And everything goes in there. If a gun is stolen, stolen car, stolen boat, arrest warrants, terrorist watch list, okay, wanted, missing children, literally everything goes on there because what ends up happening is you put your warrants, right, into NCIC, and then what ends up happening is if someone encounters that individual, let's say, let's say you're, let's say Las Vegas Police Department, right? You go to Vegas, you get a little too drunk, you have a good time. You punch someone, knock them out, whatever, and you leave the next day or two days after. Las Vegas Metropolitan PD finds out who you are, they go through the camera footage, et cetera, a detective is on the case, they identify you, they issue a warrant for your arrest, right? You get stopped in Wisconsin, right? You get arrested in Wisconsin. Or, sorry, you get encountered in Wisconsin on a traffic stop. When that trooper in Wisconsin runs your name into NCIC, because they're always going to run your name to see if there's no wants or warrants. Right? They're going to see that there's a warrant for your arrest out of Las Vegas. This is key. He's going to call Las Vegas and say, hey, I'm here to validate the warrant. I got the guy here, right? I got him on a traffic stop. Do you want him? Then it's up to Las Vegas to decide if they want to actually fly two detectives out there to go get him and bring him back. Now, there's a reason why I use Vegas. Vegas, a lot of times, they extradite everybody. Okay, they don't give a fuck. Thank you. Okay? Las Vegas PD will come and get you. All right? They will come get you. But other police agencies might not. Let's say you're wanted by the Connecticut State Police for, I don't know, a battery, right? Like a misdemeanor battery or a low-level felony. And you get caught in California. Are the Connecticut State Police going to fly all the way to California to come get you? It depends. It depends. They might not. And if the agency that wants you doesn't want to come get you, they'll release you. Okay? And the reason for that is because the police agency that wants the individual has to spend all the money to send people over there to go get them and then bring them back. That's lots of overtime. That's lots of hours. You've got to pay for typically two detectives or two investigators. You've got to pay their flights. Their hotel, et cetera. They've got to go over there, go get them, and bring them back. So it's kind of like a logistical nightmare to be honest with you guys. So some agencies might not have the support or the funding to go get them. Okay? But that's all verified through NCIC, the National Crime Information Center. Now, we'll get even more into the weeds here. Okay? Because I know you guys like this nerdy stuff, so I'll go ahead and, you know, teach you guys a little bit more. There's also something called NLITS. NLITS, guys, is the National Law Enforcement Telecommunication System. Okay? NLITS is state-based. Okay? So what ends up happening sometimes is, let's say you want to look somebody up from a state level, right? You want to look at their state criminal history. What ends up happening is, you've got to run them through NLITS. So what most cops do when they pull you over on the side of the road is they run you through NLITS and they run you through NCIC. NLITS is a state-based system. NCIC is the federal one. And there might be warrants in the state system that might not pop up in the federal system. Does that make sense? Because sometimes it might be a lower-level warrant, it might be a bench warrant, it might be some bullshit where the state's like, bro, we're not even going to bother putting that shit in NCIC because, like, we're not going to go get this guy for skipping out on not paying child support. Right? We're not going to waste our time. Right? So there are certain crimes that if you're wanted in one state and you get caught in another state, they won't come and get you because it's not worth their resources. Now, typically, there are some crimes that they'll come get you no matter what. Murder, grape, you know, kidnap, very serious crimes, robbery, right? Especially violent felonies. Most police agencies are going to say, hold him, we'll be over there in, you know, 24, 48 hours. Right? And then the agency that found him will detain him, arrest him, and hold him for the other agency to come and get him in whatever amount of days. Okay? Now, this typically operates in a state. So NCIC, NLITS. And the other reason why NCIC, NCIC is good is because, like, this is also pro tip for you guys, right? If you ever get a gun that's stolen, like, let's say you have a gun and it gets stolen or whatever, go to the police immediately and report that shit. I'll tell you why. Because when you report your gun is stolen, right? A friend of mine, I'm not going to say who, I don't want to put them on blast, but their gun got stolen. And he didn't go to the police. I said, bro, you need to go to the police and report it missing today. Why? Because if that gun gets caught, or if that gun gets used in a crime, right? The ATF is going to find, what's going to happen is the police are going to seize that gun. They're going to run the serial number. And when they run the serial number through a database called eTrace, which the ATF runs, you're going to be the original purchaser. So they're going to come to your house to talk to you. Right? So if you have the gun reported stolen, that's going to be almost like a layer of protection for you because then you'll be like, look, I reported stolen. It's, you know, I reported stolen back, which and which, whenever day you did. And that gives you a little bit more protection. Now, that said, just because you lose your gun and it gets caught in a crime scene somewhere else doesn't mean you're a criminal. But I am saying it adds a layer of protection for you. Also, if you sell your gun, always make sure you got a bill of sale. This is why I will never sell any of my guns. Fuck that shit, bro. I don't want the hassle. Honestly, I think selling guns is stupid. If you buy a gun, just hold on to it, bro. Don't sell that shit. Okay? I don't even want to be, I don't even want to have to think that a gun that I bought with my name is used in a crime and then ATF agents or detectives come to my house and be like, oh, bro, yeah, we found a gun registered in your name at a crime scene. Now I got to pull out the bill of sale. Now I got to be like, yo, I had nothing to do with it. This is why I sold it to her. You know, it got stolen on this day. Fuck that shit, bro. So guys, if you ever sell your gun, which I don't suggest you do, but if you do, get a bill of sale or if your gun gets stolen, go to the police immediately and report it stolen. Because when it's reported stolen, it'll be put in NCIC and then they'll see that the gun was stolen. They're still probably going to come talk to you, but then they'll know that your report is stolen. Pro tip for you guys right there. All right? So that's how NCIC works. Some agencies will come and get you. Some other agencies won't. Like Las Vegas, I gave you guys the example of Las Vegas because a lot of people go there and commit crimes like idiots and think they'll get away scot-free. Not really. Okay? Not really. I've seen them go pick people up on misdemeanors, bro. Okay? Las Vegas is on some different type of timing. So, because a lot of people go there and commit crimes, I think they're not going to get caught. So I guess like, and if you think about it, chat, if you think about it, you never see police in Las Vegas. You guys notice that? When you're on the strip, when you're walking around, when you go to the casinos, you really don't see Las Vegas PD like that. And I think that's by design. Right? Right? Like, obviously, like, people are there to be fucking criminals and shit. So they don't want to, you know, the end of the day, Las Vegas is there to make money. So they don't want cops all over the place making people feel scared. A lot of times the cops will be at the casinos, but they'll be sitting in the security rooms and shit like that. But go to Vegas, guys. You're, you know, you're not going to see police officers walking around like that. Or you're not even going to be seeing them patrolling like that. You know? A lot of them wear plain clothes or they're not even going to be in uniform or they're not. You might see a couple of bike cops here and there. Yeah. But in general, compared to other major cities, you're not going to see them all over the place like that. And that's obviously by design. People are there to drink. People are there to fucking have a good time and do drugs and be degenerates. So, like, having cops around is kind of bad for business. You know? Or at least having cops everywhere. The only time you'll see cops all over the place in Vegas is like they got a big event. Like, I remember when they had the Super Bowl, obviously you saw cops everywhere. But other than that, you know, compared to other major cities, you don't see the same level of police presence. And a lot of people get emboldened and commit crimes when they're in Vegas for that reason. Do dumb shit. They get drunk. They're on drugs. So, that's what it is. Yeah, NLIS is a state-based system. Like, NLIS will give you more details than NCIC, right? Let's say someone, like, has a criminal record in a state, but it's, like, minor shit or it's, like, not as big a deal. Like, you'll get everything when you run the guy through NLIS. So, you'll find a spot. You run the name. You'll see he has an FBI number. When he has an FBI number, you run that FBI number and he also has a state ID number. You run the FBI number through NCIC, then you run the state ID number through NLIS. Every time you're arrested, chat, by a state agency, it's going to generate something called a SID or a state ID number. You run that state ID number in NLIS and then it'll show you all their, you know, criminal history in that state. If someone's been arrested in several different states, there's different SID numbers for different states. There'll be a New York SID, a Kentucky SID, California SID, blah, blah, blah. So, there'll be an FBI number. That's the federal one that tracks him. And then there's a state one. And if you want to get all his state information, you run the SID through NLIS, through each state database for that. You want to get more info on his New York criminal history? Run his state ID number. The FBI number's going to be only for NLIS. It's going to be federal. All right. I think I explained it better than this thing I did, so we'll just move on. today police say they plan to execute search warrants related to that investigation as they work to piece together exactly what happened and how this played out those investigators saying the suspects evidence one of the things that stood out to me most though was the fact that this was a pair of individuals that's quite rare in attacks like this where we typically would see a lone wolf actor or one assailant um again the age also is something that struck me as rather anomalous because we don't see shooters this young that's typically one in four i think it's about 25 percent all right guys
