[MUSIC PLAYING] G'day listeners, welcome back to another episode of the Keeper League podcast. With our FL Fantasy podcast, it doesn't talk about the Superstars. We only talk about the less knowns and the players. We're going to bring value to your draft and Keeper League teams. My name's Heff, and with me is a podcast favorite. Jordy DeSan, welcome back to the show, mate. Thanks, mate. Good to be back on. We're going to a big week ahead of us this week, which I'm super excited for. We do. It's probably worth mentioning at the top of the show is that we're recording this podcast before the Easter Monday game happens. So what we're going to do is we're going to just do the games that have been done beforehand. And then I will piece in my own little personal review of the Easter Monday game, The Hawthorne Versus Jolong Game, probably-- or this will be on the day you're listening to it, which probably Tuesday morning. Yeah, so we'll get it done then and piece together that way. Because we would do it tonight, but we're going to see a data remember tonight at the Adelaide and Samus Center. I know. I'm keen for that. Three bands. Yeah, three bands tonight. Big line up. Yeah, Pover Roach as well. Meal Pover Roach. I think I know. Tony Hawkes Pro Scader or something like that back in the day. That's going to be sick. Yeah, so you're going to see that tonight. So that's the reason why we've kind of rushed for time. And then we both had things on tomorrow. So we couldn't do it then. So yeah, we're doing it now. And hopefully it still works out. OK, but yeah, there's a fair bit to talk about. But we'll start with how's your keeper league team going? There's a big match up in your league this week. You played with brother. Is that right? I'm playing my brother at the moment. So playing Maddie and, yeah, I'm three and I in that one. But this week, I've just, yeah, I've had a bit of a terrible week. Ed Richards was laid out. Yeah, a few injuries like Pendlebury, all these sorts of guys. Obviously, your bioplayers as well. So Matt's going to get over the top of me. And he had a bonter captain and sent a few messages last night. We're messing each other. I was like, I'd hate to be playing bon today. And he's like, I actually am playing bon today. So he's got me. That's a bit tricky for your team. But yeah, my team's actually, it looks like it's going to have a win over the undefeated case. So I'll be two or two. He'll be three and one at the end of that. But I think I am favored with a few bioplayers here. If you bioplayers out, he's got a lot of GWS and a lot of Saints. But it probably means like, he probably adds up to that as these wise three and a because he's been waiting for those kind of players to have their buy as well. But yeah, just nice to have like just hit a captain with Zorca, even I was only one 16. But then, but with what's happened this weekend, that's good. Yeah, 100% something. I'd gr undy as well. Jack Steele was like my main man again. So it's pretty good to have an even Andrew Brasiel and Jordan Dawson Tunduk, which doesn't happen that often anymore. So they're calling Jack Steele the trade, the recruit of the year. Well, I've seen like so many tweets and stuff like. And then my mate just met me the other day. It's like, it's funny how St. Keele had got rid of Jack Steele only to pay three or four other players a million plus dollars who are all worse than Jack Steele. And he's just doing what he did at Saints, really. Yeah, I just think of Fitter and yeah, I reckon it kind of shows that Ross line is a bit of a lunatic. But also like, sometimes the fans just say better than the coaches do, I think. Like, well, we all know Jack Steele's a gun and he just needs more opportunity and they weren't playing him enough last year. But yeah, I think people like to also blame players for certain things that are going on at the club or whatever. Yeah, certain type of roles they're playing aren't working stuff, but just let them play football and just see what they can do and it shows they're still a class player. But anyway, throughout the week we had the the keeper position changes. I think they're three, six, nine, 12 and 15. I think they come through quite a few as well. And I think even there might be when the industry ones, AFL fans, you ones come through, I think there might be a few coming through there. I feel like the champion data information seems to be updated a lot more frequently with positions this year. I think that's going to be reflective of the position changes, which is awesome. Like I've been always checking mid forward. I guess the only one is that defense, but we've been able to really sort of pick those ones, I think. I understand. And it's been, I think we're going to get a lot more next week. So after gathering around, you get those extra if you do the industry ones, you get those. Yeah. So I'll just go through the ones that are probably relevant. I've kind of filtered out the other ones, but the full list is on keepofansea.com. If you want to check them out, the people that got defenders were Butterick, Parker, Florent, Carol, Blomias, Windhager, and Xavier Lindsey. So they all got the Fender status. There are a few more about filter out the relevant. For me, the midfielders are like, like back in the day, I used to not care when people got added mid. It was like, oh, well, you're never going to play them in your mid. But like, when you're playing seven mids in a deep keeper league, it's very hard to find those last mids. So it's like, I'm preseason. I banked on Miles Bergman to get mid status. I was like, I'm running one mid short, probably. Like, I'm kind of forced to play like penning. It's like, I'm a little bit more forced to play like that. I'm not going to play like that. as well. So like, yeah, it's probably not the greatest matchup, so these tends to be easy matchups for him. I'd like to see him get some of the harder players. And as you said, like we expect wingers to beat up this year in like with the transition points. So I remember you had the choice of him or Murdoch that with the wavour pick. Yeah. And I mean, I think Murdoch's going to be good, but Murdoch's got the full sense of that. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Sevens has been actually not too bad. But like I said, no good teams yet. I have like shit teams. At least Murdoch put up a big cigarette in goalco, so I'm more comfortable with that one. Um, Cooper Trembarth, 93 points, kick three goals. Spent some time on the Ruck as well. So I didn't pick that to him to be the kind of him and Coleman Jones kind of sold it. So didn't pick that to be happening. But apparently, he's the best goal kicker after seven games in AFL. He's I saw that tweet. Yeah, he's a head body and like a whole heap of him. So um, might be a stream over the next few weeks if he's got the Ruck up tick as well. If you're sure he's got another two weeks and I don't think that they're going to bring in like Coleman Jones didn't really set the world on fire. Yeah. Got 20 points. He's got, he's got Brisbane next week that is the top one of the toughest Ruck matchups because they played a duel as well. So I don't think you go too well then, but Richmond in a couple weeks with I think they're down two rucks, potentially. Um, so that could be a nice little stream in a couple weeks. So maybe just to pick up preemptively. Yep. Don't use a wave of a pro. I wouldn't use a wave of priority on him. But if he slips through somehow, um, yeah, you might have a good stream in a couple weeks as a forward. So I just want to think about. Uh, and then George Wardlaw just super impressive game. But he just do hasn't shown me that he's going to be that big accumulating fantasy mid. But you'd take, you know, the 87 points he got for his second game background. It was amazing like that smothery did some of his efforts were insane. I'm really help there. Yeah, exactly. Really good footballer. Again, I think his tag might have been a little bit low because he's still coming back. But I agree. He just needs to put it together. Hope these days injury free. I'm still worried about the hamstrings. Yeah, yeah. 100%. Um, but a good, a good game. Yeah, definitely. Um, onto the Colton blues. Uh, Oli Holland's had 106 points. So he's spending more time on the halfback this season. Like I was big on him in the preseason if he was to be playing the role he is now, you know what I mean? But then he was playing the wings in the practice game. You put up some pretty gross score because he said two good weeks playing more halfbacks. Um, a bit more caner on him now. I think owners would be a lot happier. Yeah, I think he's just that he's probably just a solid defender. Yeah, option, I think like 70 plus defender. Yeah. I don't know if he's ever going to push himself to like a premium. Yeah, no, he may. But for a keeper, probably a good, you know, with the matchups in this role, I probably a good, um, feeding option. Yeah. Well, speaking of that role, Nick Newman came back into the side. Uh, hello, Newman. Uh, 92 points. Um, didn't really miss a beat from a fantasy perspective anyway. Like obviously they all miss a beat. Uh, yeah, losing this game. But I suspect he'll be took off the podcast again. He's only not because he spent a year on injured. Yeah. Um, should be pretty solid. And he wouldn't be any of the waivers like he'd be owned in most leagues. I probably just didn't even know talking about him. Jordan Boyd would tip the cap to that one. Uh, 87 points. I wouldn't be back in that one in Ben Ainsworth though 86 points. He's been a 70 plus guy in the past. And he's actually on the bubble for too good for the podcast. But again, two easy matchups for four years up and down for him. Like he's put a couple of good ones, but he had a low one the other week. So probably a good streamer and for matchups. Yeah. I agree. I'm on field. Uh, onto the allied versus free man tour game. We'll say a little prayer for Rob resting piece, Rob. I think I got, I gotta go. I've got to do so many times about that kick. I gotta feel the thing is that's annoying. The, um, KO, the KO covers didn't capture. Yeah. But there was another angle. Thankfully that did capture, which was so funny because I think was it Tracy on the mark? Uh, Sean Darcy. Sean Darcy was a big fellow. He just marked it. He's like he didn't even try though. Like he's just had his hand there. He's like, oh, there's a ball on my hand there. Yeah. I think Rob's keeps going to do it. And even like chapter two himself. Yeah. So funny. Um, so yeah, I think Rob may have played his last game for the cross somehow. I was worried about this. I thought McCandry would come out with a 40 50 or something like that. Yeah. So he shared. Yeah. But it probably helped. I don't know whether it helped him with a rest or something in Rob. But it just was, yeah, it wasn't like McCandry. Like when they at the end of the game there, you could see like there's no way Nick's is going to put Rob in the right like McCandry was killing. He was having a great game. Well, he's, um, well, he's too good for the podcast now McCandry. So we'll bid farewell to him and yeah, well, uh, which condolences to our Rob owners out there for the passing of Rob. But anyway, uh, James Pete Ling had a hard one points more CBAs last two weeks and surprise surprise scores better. Um, more of an even spread for the closing CBAs this week. I think he just needs a bit more responsibility. But he was on fire in this game. But it probably become like, like Sam Berry, um, dropped 20% of the CBAs this week. So yeah, probably come out of cost for those owners there. I wonder what, because they were sort of down a half time. One of a just like he was awesome second half. They just have to change something, put him in the midfield, try to give something that like, the other opposition wouldn't expect whatever that's been different for the last few weeks probably makes sense. Um, we'll see if it continues after this week. Wayne Miller, I had the nine-hour point. So I just don't think anyone's trusting him after around one right. You see there's nine-hour points and you're going, nah, not again. Yep. Not believe this. Did you see, like I heard something about the Crow is where they actually don't have a distributor. Like it's basically whoever's closest to the ball when the, when it's a point. Yeah. Whoever's closest takes the kick out. Yeah. I don't have like a designated guy and you see them sharing. I know like Keen went down, but if you look at the kick out, they all just spread it out like and what, how good to borrow like he's really going along. Yeah. I think, yeah, he's going to be good, but I don't think he's going to elevate, that was to talk that you could elevate himself to a like a premium or like get it quite close to 90. I just don't think that that's going to happen. Yeah, no, I agree. And also it leads out at the moment too. Not that I'd be trusting lead with kick-ins, but yeah, there's just like points to go around if he is in there as well. Under the free-o-side of things, Murphy Reed had the 91 points. I was his best score of the season, which is, I don't know, he's been going pretty like consistent. I think there's a lot of scores been 71 this season, but it feels like he's been scoring better than that, you know what I mean? But just looks like a player who's like played more than one season of football. He's gone. Yeah. And just like, clean in critical moments as well, like getting the hands through our spot or just, you know, taking the ball, taking the contact, giving the ball off, just not like just to play a play as well, be on his ears. I think he'll be too good for the podcast. Yeah. Pretty soon. Yeah. I'm pretty happy. I went early on him in both my sheaver drafts, probably like 20 above his ADP and have not been disappointed. Yeah. And he doesn't seem like he needs CBAs to score. Like he can roll up quite high. Yeah. And he's just so clean that they give him the ball. Yeah, exactly. Just Tracy had 78 points. I think I've got to give him 2G4P, even though he doesn't have the 83 out of the row. Seven out is close enough for mine. What I love about him is he pushes up the ground, it just takes a lot of marks across half back as well. Like he's pretty hard to stop. He's like that old school key forward. Like he used to see like Wayne Kerry and Tread Raid do that a lot. Just play between the arcs, not really as close to goals. He does go forward and kicks goals. But his hands are just so good that he marks the ball wherever he is type of thing. And yeah, free. I'm just good. So like they're going to he's going to get heaps of supply. Yeah. Like he's going to be a good play this season. And then Patrick Voss as well 76 points. Like I don't know if this is a thing. Probably have to check the trends this week. But like, Crow's key defenders don't really stand out to me as like a lead. You know that they're a good system defense, but not good individual defense. You know what I mean? Yep. That's probably fair. Like even a miss was pretty good in this game. I think all three of them had 70 plus like Voss and Amos and yeah, but yeah, key for us just really played well. And like, yeah, Voss actually had like identical to stats to Tracy. The only difference was he trace. He had two more tackles and one more free against like and that was a difference in their scoring. So they pretty much had the exact same game. So, you know, if you're going to praise one, you've got to praise the other though, both very good in this game. Very dominant. Anyways, onto the Richmond versus Port Adelaide game. I've always had a nice win on Saturday. I think that was at the third quarter. Second quarter we were messaging each other. Not happy still with the performance, but just some of the players in the scoring. I just wanted a bit more. It's a fantasy isn't it? That's a fantasy. Yeah, kind of like, so yeah, we've got nothing. So we've got the win, but it's like, I want to see tons and scores. Yeah, and it's just not happening. I don't think we're a very fantasy friendly team of the best of times, but when we're not dominant in terms of our possession, it's even worse than it usually is. But we'll talk about some Richmond players. Down press, yeah, had 98 points. Is there someone I think that a contending team could get very cheaply in a trade or whatever to have a, you know, probably an 80 plus guy on your fears? Just would you have any faith in him not breaking down? Oh, you probably will at some point. There's no way he's going to play every game or wouldn't have thought. Yeah, probably just watch his for forward status. I don't know how many CBSs in this game, but before, I think it was on the edge of forward. So he could pick it up, which would be super handy. I think I do have the numbers right here. That's 70% of the same. That's probably going to. Yeah. Yeah. Tyler Sonsi, 77 points playing out on the wing. Tell me how just to realise where he was. I was like, who's that guy? The yellow boot on the far side. He's got four steps. Yeah, just handy. I'm playing in there. I think they rotate their wing as a little bit. I think they have a call of back into the side. I think that was someone else playing out there earlier, but I can't remember what it was. Who's not getting as much of the share now. So since Sonsi's come into the side, really. Then onto the port players. Dusty Burn Jones had a 107 points like, you see, we saw a role change in this game, but it's still not one on sold on for a player like him. He's very defensive. We're no matter where he plays. Yeah. Just a lot of 10 marks in this game. But he's definitely a better prospect as a defender than he is as a forward. Yeah. I think if he's on the waivers and stuff, and if you're not using a priority pick or anything like that, if he's going to continue this role, he's going to be a serviceable forward. Yeah. picking him up. He'll get a few sevenies and stuff here and there, like, which will be pretty handy. So you see how to try to pick those weeks where Port will actually have some of the ball off that half back line. And John Sweep, your boyfriend of the show, and his 50th game, Nine-hour Points. I think it's more of a reflection of the Rucks at Richmond at the moment. Yeah. Because obviously, there's a lot of nank for an extended period. Samson Ryan played in this game, he was pretty rubbish, but he got reported in this game. As well as looks like he'll go for I think a couple weeks, but looks so could get pretty ugly considering they played GWS next week. So Briggs owners will probably be happy that he might get a good run at things. But another thing, Oliver Hayes Brown had a big game in the VFL, and I'm not sure he listed as a Ford, I don't think he is this year. I don't think he was last year. I was going to say if he's still got four status, he might be one to look into. But like, I did the same with like Coleman Jones for another team I have. Because we got Cherry in that team. Just handcuffed it. And I handcuffed it and Coleman Jones got a 20-month point. I got to kind of look around, I think. It's going to happen from there. So yeah, Hayes Brown might be the next guy in if you need it, you know, desperately need a Ruck. Yeah, not sure what else they'll do from there. Kane Farrell had seven nine points. I think he should have gone bigger at the end of the day. Keep getting hurt. Like, you think he rolled his ankle and then caught it off so hot. Yeah, I think it was eight touches, eight or nine touches early on. But he played at the game. But with me and Wony were talking last week that he just should be a better fantasy player at port, given the ball user that he used. And he just, you were like kickouts, wouldn't give him the ball. Yeah, that sort of stuff. We were watching. Yeah. So hopefully, hopefully he picks out from here, but just a kind of good song on the back of what we were talking about last week. Alira Lear had 79 points. She's just taking a lot of marks at the moment. Like, could be a stram out like every second week is going to be so we'll keep following that pattern. We have a low one next week. I'm going to thank Kilda and go big. Although defenders usually go big against Kilda, it might be a stream this weekend. We'll see. Yeah. It's just because yeah, we're the last game in the round. So you have to sort of have a bit of faith. Well, maybe just see if your bench option goes any bigger and if not swinging on. And then Mo is bergman, we were talking about 51 points. Are we concerned about him or is it just the injury interrupted start the year? Like, it's both practice games with the foot. Then it does ankle again after round one. Yeah. Do we think it's just that or is there like genuinely concern here? I like basically the whole preseason he was training as a midfielder and I feel like he's had to go back to defense because of injuries and he doesn't really know the system. Like the new he's just he don't I feel like he doesn't know where he where he's fitting at the moment. Yeah. And I think he wants to be a midfielder, but he's had to go back no preseason. They're under under car. So I just think he's a bit lost at the moment plus the injury. I think he's going to come good, but I am concerned at the moment. I'm just looking at some of the CBAC like Jack Watkins had 11 CBAs and barely touched the footy on the weekend. You know, like, wines came back in, but he played such low time on ground. So it was basically like butters will him drew and drink who get is there a true might be suspended I think. Yeah, okay. That's really bad for my team. What do you do? It's a dangerous tackle I think. Oh, I saw that, but yeah, I think he played. I got didn't get reported and I think he played on. So hopefully that one's all right. There wasn't a lot of talk over the mouse of that one. So hopefully he gets off. Otherwise, I'm going to be in the short this weekend. I feel like Bergman if I would still be trying to target him for cheap if I can't try to. I'm in the ball. Yeah, because I think he's going to come. I think he will come good. It's just it's going to be a maybe the first half of the year. It's going to be tough watch. Yeah, I think so. Let's move on to West Coast versus Sydney. Tim Kelly had the 87 points. I didn't talk about it last week. I was just like there's he won't do this. Ganny sucks. But he actually looks interested at the moment. He's playing well. I think it's probably someone that contending teams should consider as a forward as well. Yeah. So like in my league, like I've got in the draft this year, like Joe Fonte was sitting in there. Zach Johnson was sitting in there. And I've already got like start like a stacked defense. So I'm thinking like like and the guy who owns Tim Kelly is like a rebuilding side as well. So like I don't know if I want to do it to get rid of someone like Zach Johnson or Fonte. But like my team is old as shit. So it's like those guys are probably going to be no use to me. Like anyway, going forward. I'm thinking about just throwing like a Fonte or a Zach Johnson for Tim Kelly because I don't it's done of it. I'm weak in the forward lines my weakest line. I think about doing something like that. I don't feel like the other team if you if you gap up Fonte, like that's pretty good player. Yeah. Yeah. For the future. Yeah, exactly. And I'm like probably wins that to be honest. Yeah, 100%. That is a win for you. But like my team is at a point where it's so old. It's like so close to coming crashing down. So like I just send it. Yeah. So I'm thinking about just like doing something like that and just hoping I get that extra forward. Try to get that last flag like. And like I thought my team with that team, this is my dynasty league team, not my main league team. But like I thought my team would just come crashing back to earth this year. Like, you know, because they're also old and that sort of stuff. But I'm foreign zip like after this week. I'm going to win again this week. I'll be top of the ladder this week. So it's like do I start making a few moves like this and just buying up all the old players because I do really well in the drafting that one with because everyone goes after the rookies. Whereas I go for a third and fourth years that I've about to break out and sort of stuff. And they always get a few players like that. So I could keep them and have them for stars for the future. But I don't need them right now. I can go for it. Yeah, I might actually if you can do Zach Johnson. Yeah, yeah. I'd be happy with that one. That is a bit more. Yeah, yeah, especially we'll talk about Johnson in a second, but it's in up a touch in the first quarter and then put up a huge good score. So anyway, um, see, a team Kelly. I think he's like one point of this is this. I think it's a good buy option for contending teams if you can get him cheap enough. Um, Brady Hoff at 80 points. He's not going to the CBAs anymore. And he barely touched it last week. Playing as a defender. I don't think I'd be. Yeah, it's hard to trust him. Yeah. Good one this week. Yeah. Um, Tom McCarthy had 77 points back in the CBAs this week after none last week. And I think it actually scored worse. Yeah. Yeah. I'm slightly. Yeah. But um, there's such a high rotation at West Coast. Like, where's the few injuries? Yeah, that's right. And um, Dev Robb. So he probably had to feel that role. That's a very good point. I shouldn't think about one. But we did see Willem Dersmart go into the midfield, which might just be a close that as well. But 63 points. Nothing huge. But yeah, just did some nice things. Like, I think it's a good sign that he will play inside eventually. It's probably going to be better than his brothers. I probably shouldn't give any more respect. Definitely. He's going to, he's just so clean the way, anyway, runs and moves. It's just like he's a player. Yeah. It'd be interesting. I wonder how much, how often the youngest brother is the best one? Like Joe Selwell. Yeah. So that's one of the, in media, come to mind. But um, yeah, that's probably another one. Actually, was Zach, Zach Merritt was the youngest out of it. Probably not happening to be actually. Yeah. Maybe just because I'm an eldest child, I am a bit more biased. I was Sean Bert. Yeah. Sean Bert going younger than Peter. I think so. Yeah, it was. Yeah. So that's probably another good one. Yeah. That takes out the good apples. Um, onto Tom Patpley's, onto the swans. Tom Patpley heard 818 points. Marston games. That was a big one. Pretty easy opposition. He's just a streamer type, right? Yeah. Maybe an F5. And Sydney, like Sydney, look, they're going to be a top four side. So if you can get on a good matchup, whether they're going to pump a team, like he's going to probably get on a few goals. And he always grows up the ground. And sometimes, I don't know if he had CBAs, but sometimes he does go in there and he's around the ball. Yeah. Yeah. 100%. So he's a decent option, especially. Yeah. Like I said, forwards, undervalued forwards in contending teams. Always good value, I think. Yeah. Um, Riley Bice had 108 points. I have to make him two for the podcast. Um, the role is there. It's real. Yeah. Let's tick that one off. Just a wrong. What did you make of his game? He was really good. I think the big thing for me was the change in roles. I think he's been more winged in previous weeks. But to me, it looked like he was more defensive. Yeah. And took a lot of marks, more halfback. Yeah. Um, sorry, obviously, you know, I was not expecting 105 points. I thought I thought he was a 50 60 sort of guy. Yeah. So he had round one, wasn't it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And yeah. Um, I was lucky to put the Eonim in classic and I was able to get him on luckily. But some, yeah, I mean, really impressive game. I don't know whether because like, typically, I think West Coast isn't the best for defenders. Yeah. So I don't know whether it went out the box or, um, but yeah, I mean, it seemed like a bit of a shift in role. So, and he's going to pick, well, he did pick up the mid status. So he's probably right now. Pretty handy. You know, M7, D D5 that you can run in on your teams. Yeah. I'm certain. Now you're right. The West Coast are a very neutral team for defenders. Actually, even hard for a key to. Yeah. Yeah. Interesting. Interesting. Interesting. Look at, uh, Sarong there. Um, Jake Lloyd, we talked about him earlier, getting forward status here. The 98 points three goals. That won't happen every week. But we know what Lloyd is like. Like he's a very pop into a whole kind of player. Get on the right side of the switch. You were on this so early as well. Like last year, you were like, I reckon he's a chance of forward or this year as a forward. Now he's finally got it. Yeah. Yeah. Well, he just, he can roam up, go on the wing. Sometimes you can get to half back. Just like you said, feels the whole. Yeah. There's going to be games. He scores. Yeah. Um, white score every week. Yeah. But as a forward, you've got to have him on your field at the moment. Like he's genuine F three to four, um, on the right weeks. Yeah. I mean, so yeah, pretty, pretty happy that one. Wish I didn't put him back in the pool now. There's so many regrets. I just wish I didn't keep fear any. Um, yeah. I, I wonder if it, because for any reason, it's got a back issue. I think. So I wonder if that's slowing him down. Oh, first game. Yeah. Yeah. Hopefully you can get it right. He gets. Yeah. But as an obviously not very high scoring for this game. Yeah. It was just stupid to keep him. I think in the end got that one wrong. Um, then Angus Sheldrick had 93 points in the guts against a week in midfield. He might get rubbed out though. That was. Oh, I miss that. Yeah. There was something in that game. I can't remember what it was, but I remember them talking about it. So, um, keep an eye on that one. Um, James Jordan had 87 points. Just Tad Read. I guess. If you're gonna follow around the guy that they give the ball to always and you're just gonna be able to tackle him Or like get a few extra touches that way like you're bound to get a few more points Probably the one of the best targets in the game Jordan. Sorry. I think he got forward and now he's got mid status as well But like I wouldn't want to be yeah, I wouldn't want to be a cryptocurrency go 80 points. Just depending on the No, you might do it some way except yeah, yeah Okay, I was in Melbourne vs Gold Coast game. I didn't watch too much of this one. I was actually watching the 36's Unfortunately go down in the final minutes know what up as well right in the old grandfather for I think with about 40 seconds to go And lost it no time. But anyway Tom sparrows down at the end 102 points He's too good for the podcast as well. I crazy that come from nowhere. Yeah Just stepping up in that midfield and like I know I was watching I watched a few replays and highlights I saw that Harvey Langford was starting on the wing. Yeah I'm on he had a lot more lot with time on ground. I think it's only 67% as well So it feels like sparrows the one they've moved into the midfield to come and rivers isn't there. Yeah, easy So does he's up that fourth like they're starting mid still pick it Windsor and he's a fourth guy at the moment And I don't think I looked at the VFL scores and rivers either didn't play or it didn't go well one of the two because he Didn't stand out there either so like strangers know with him might have to spend some time back before he gets into the ones I'm thinking so sparrow could be a good thing for a few eggs and he's this as a forward and I was too good for the podcast But yeah talk about him anymore Harry Sharpe 82 points started forward but like I think he was like a underage like running champion or something like that So he's just got good endurance like he can get up the ground up and back and get a few touches Works up and down the field is just probably not consistent enough for fantasy at the moment But there could be something there you know like he's in to fit those six season. Yeah, I feel like if Melbourne one when they're winning in their Honor run he's gonna you know in their transit like Melbourne's game is awesome when it's on yeah, it's attacking high transition so Yeah, he might pop if you can row him up a bit might pop a score here or there playing forward yeah, the plan is in this week as well So he could go again out of that oval yeah that I'm going to that game actually so should be good fun I'm gonna preach every game out of this week and it's this morning. Yeah, I'll probably out there They're gonna feel like quite a few essence mates at essence supporters So like yeah, I plan to just float around or again. Like I go there. He will go to the seats Yeah, go to another mates are and just kind of float around so say good day if you see me Boate, Jule and is moving on to Gold Coast had 89 points Doesn't seem to be playing as tall this season really like he was I think it was on some of the smaller players when I was watching it But he's getting kickouts had twenty six touches five marks seems like he's like distributing a bit more And they like trusting me a bit like yeah same I saw so I'm taking a lot of kickouts as well Which is just gonna help his points. Yeah, and because he's done the three weeks in a row He's two good with the podcast been picked up in so many legs like so highly owned at the moment And when you see those numbers like crazy not the picking up as well say good one from Boate Jule and two good for the podcast I'd a few messages about that one this week Will power had 89 points. He's officially too good for the podcast. He's another one that has the mid status status as handy But like with Alex Davies out I wasn't sure And then like we still have a scene in like row up a tracker hump freeze Anderson all together Mm-hmm inside so I'm not sure if it's like I'm still in a hundred percent sure of it Yeah, but you know it's still working for him. So you got to keep feeding him while it is I guess yeah I guess a few injuries at the moment. So he's probably gonna be okay. Yeah a few weeks Yeah, it's just gonna be interesting when they get back to full strength. Yeah, that's great Lockland Gulben had 85 points. It was finding a heap of the footies and other ones playing very high up the ground As a half forward took eight marks But yeah, like we've had back-to-back weeks of forwards scoring really well against Melbourne So probably a bit of a trend that way. Yeah, so it could be more of a trend about then it used to do with Gulben's efforts that so Um All right, let's go to Western Bordogs versus Essendon last night probably not as bad of a game as we thought it would be in the end We're talking about bond right off hot and then it both yeah Sort of faded a bit and dog shouldn't score as much as I thought like fantasy points wise Yeah, I thought there would have yeah might be an interesting to have a look at the points foreign again So I don't think Essendon will get off the bottom or the latter points against but might be a bit better than usual Yeah, Riley Sanders had a nine points. That's his first good score of the season But like very weak opposition. It's I'm just saying back it up Is what I'm trying to say from there like this, you know, Ed riches is a laid out liberal was out. Yeah So someone had to go in yeah midfield and I'm pretty sure it was bond Kennedy and Sanders with the three. Yeah, and that's you know around the ball was gonna help I think I do have the numbers Yeah, yeah, he was a third no any percent yeah, that's awesome. So that makes sense getting up in the CBAs there Joel Frazier was also had 17 CBAs and this game six three percent that's pretty high for him as well Any at 96 points. He's on the 2G4P bubble as well But he still did that thing where he had like I think it was like 50 a half time or something like that Or even faded more and then faded a little bit. So 96 is still pretty good, but um, yeah, good. Yeah He needs a high CBA role when he's gonna be a gun. I just I think in that dog side He's gonna obviously have that forward and that's so worth it for yeah, that's maybe maybe we can get him that port Was that a rim? Oh, he's well wishful thinking. Well, I'm just thinking if but it's just going there maybe that could be better Couple first round as an Frazier take that What do you think I take that every day of the week? I don't know if the boardals would take it I don't know if you'd you know want to come live in Adelaide, but it depends on the contract I guess yeah All right, you should be at least manager anyway, well, you'll be happy. You're a Frazier man That's like that. Yeah, definitely. Well, definitely with the 2 first round as it seems like a dream do I was done off It's actually realistic Oscar Baker had 94 points Half forward playing on prior they both actually scored pretty well in this game Essin and easiest team for medium forward. So just a bit of that I reckon um, and then Connor butteric 83 points like he's doing enough to be too good for the podcast But have you noticed he's just stopped dead for periods of every game pretty much. Yeah, he does he yeah Two touches in last quarter like and to finish on 83, you know, should have been at least a 90 point game But as a forward, I think you've got more leeway with him. You're not just worried about it as much Tim English so on Twitter. It said knee injury on the radio. They said hamstring awareness They didn't have ice on the hamstring. So I heard it was like a knee knock or something. Yeah, okay Whether it was neon or just he soon you got from Mark Yeah, and then he landed and it just sort of He was a bit like Swore up property after that. I think you tried to come back on and then yeah back So and obviously with the game situation. I'm hoping as you said no I see was walking around. I'm hoping he's okay But we'll have to see what happens because if he's out like that's a massive Like I mean we were talking about probably in the preseason. Who is the dogs next rucking? Yeah Are they gonna play like a young kid was the emert Lewis em at a big VFL game like I and then but I think they went with lob and was a O'Donnell or or croft someone else went in there croft went in there. Yeah, yeah So I had that in realm one they have will Lewis come in and do a bit of like that low-tog Yeah, yeah, so there's a few options there emits one that excites me, but I think he's too raw Yeah, I agree three VFL games into his career probably won't go But he actually looks like a decent fantasy option as a youngster, but we'll just take four or five years He's probably a succession to English more than anything Um, maybe stash option for those out there But yeah, so the English ones have been interesting um like I said no ice to me generally tells me it's not muscle And it could like could be structural like you don't put ice on a yeah, I'm not saying it is an ACL But you don't put ice on an ACL on MCL that sort of stuff true Yeah, that's just the thing I'm worried about Don't think so hopefully it's gonna be yeah, it's massive for them But it could just be a knock as well like that could be the reason why there's no ice as well Um onto the bombers jake of faru. Is he a new favorite player? Oh, man, I know I messaged the group. Yes last night G very very impressive. So 101 points was a half-back wasn't even most of the game Yeah, and he wasn't like he wasn't distributing like he's not the main kick out guy And he just obviously must have been like Roberts was he's obviously I didn't catch a heap of the gang So I was kicking but yeah seem to be the obviously the guy that Roberts yeah, he can get to so like about 10 minutes into the game Cuz I didn't watch this and I think the last couple weeks And so I was like who the fuck is number two that's getting hit the ball and like I've been doing so much research I don't know if there's like other check fair. Yeah Told you the boots. Yeah, yeah I just did not like be registered for like five minutes or like I just didn't notice this guy's like having a touch And I was like who is that yeah So I'll yeah like 101 points like pretty much like everything we expected from preseason come out in this game So I was very surprised like I just thought You know, we saw in that preseason game He had a bit of a lower score and I just didn't know how he would score in the first year But to get a hundred in your second game love that shows a massive like if you go on like your breakout tracker Yeah, that would be right now. Yeah quite high on a defender And a lot of like good fantasy coaches out there I think they look for how likely a player well if a player can turn up in their first year. Yeah Generally a pretty good sign for future that's like a bit of a correlation there I think and that's why I do have me if you go to the breakout track of data I've said I have a number of hundreds next to it because it does generally correlate pretty well people were very hard on Zack Johnson Last year because he had a ton in the third or fourth game and look at how he's gone. Yeah as well. So like yeah There's a few of those out there. Um, I guess we'll talk about Zack Johnson Didn't have much of it. I don't think they didn't have a touch in the first quarter But like so his game could have been anything but again like just the halfback rather link up the chip getting smashed each week So you know the ball was always down you're in like I only mean a league. I'm pretty happy with it. I think many owners out there gonna be happy I wonder if the dogs are a good match up defenders because all of these guys I think now yeah read Farrow Johnson Artsy Roberts had a 130. Yeah I think they I've heard I haven't caught a heap but where do they push up? this where how they play with their system. - So for key defenders, they are the easiest team. They give up 11 points above average to players. And then for medium defenders, they are the fourth easiest team and give up five points above average to defenders. - Yep, there you go. - Prison stream, yep. - Yeah, streaming out to the dogs. 'Cause Zach Reid was the same, 99 points. Someone was asking last week if they should give up on him. So this week is probably reassuring. But again, I actually do have really, Western Bordals, the easiest team for key defenders heading into the round. So I probably stacks up a little bit. - Apparently a little bit of a hammy awareness. - I did see that. - Yeah, yep, that's just a matter of time. - I just wanted to watch on that. - Well yeah, I'll be in the scene next week. And then Jackson Pro, again, half back, 82 points. - They're pretty much all went 80 plus. - Yeah, so maybe the hoopland, the dogs is for the hawks. I've got a hope, Carl A. I'm gonna get some, I've got so many injuries. - So many injuries in my team. - Streams or hard week. - I've got battle as well. - Battle? - I hope that goes alright. Yeah, maybe stream those guys this week against the dogs. - Alright, we're pretty much gonna leave it there for this week, I think, because no listener questions came through, I did put it out pretty late. So we'll do some extra ones next week. Stick around, because I will peace in the Hawthorne versus Jalong Review Solo Pod type thing after this. So that shouldn't take too long. But yeah, thanks Jordy for giving up your public holiday Monday. I think you got a gig after this. You got to frame it all in. We're going to another gig tonight. - Yes, busy week. - Very busy days. Thanks for finding the time to give up your time for this. - No worries, I love it. Love Chutton Fantasy, you know? - I know you do. (laughing) - I literally cannot wait for this week in coming up like. - Gather around. - Gather around. - So Christmas. - Yeah, and Friday's gonna be, well I'll be up this show. - Yeah, we'll be the airfield fantasy show. I'm not sure if Aaron will be there, because he does TV on Fridays now. I think he was planning on it. - Yeah. - I think Dossy's gonna be there. I don't think Kays is. I think he's got something else on the mixed up and booked, double booked. But I think there's gonna be quite a few. I think Holmesy will be there from the pod, but Holmesy's final from the pod. - Louis will be there. - Zanks will be there. My mate who comes on the show here, there's gonna be so many Kipoleg names at this scene. So make sure you come and say good day if you go into the live show. So if you see us around, gather around, come say good day. Don't be afraid, we don't bite. We love meeting our listeners and stuff like that. So it's gonna be pretty awesome. But yeah, I've get around Jordy at Jordy Desinna on X and Twitter and listen to the pod pod each week. If you're into your classic get around our stuff at Kipoleg pod on all of the socials. Make sure you sign up to member if you want to support the show. And join our discord if you wanna communicate with me and the rest of the Kipoleg community. That's where I am most active. Anyways, thanks for listening for another week. Stick around for the review of the Hawthorne vs. Gelongay. See you later. All right, the Hawthorne vs. Gelongayme has just finished with Hawthorne getting up by one point, it's got on the TV here in the studio. So we'll recap a few of the players. I'm just about to head out to the data remember, Papa Roach, gig tonight at the Intertome Center. So it should be pretty sweet night. But anyway, let's have a look at some of the scores. He's a Massimo Dan Bruzier, had a huge first quarter. Still playing out on that wing. I think he was playing on Blitzhaw's for some of the game when he wasn't in the Ruck. So yeah, just had to just, I worked him at the start. Kind of slowed down. It felt like he should have got more than 97 points, but we asked him in wingers. Pick up a few extra points this season, but again, he's just another one that would probably have to do it a bit more consistently for me to be interested in. Jack Ginnivan still playing that kind of Hawthorne role, but he's pushing up so far up the ground. Like there were times when we saw him, I think he was in the midfield for a bit there as well, but we saw him up in the backline as well. So that's a pretty interesting watch. If he's, if he's playing forward and working that far up the ground and kind of running through the midfield, just a little bit, you know, see if that continues, 'cause that's a pretty nice role if he's got that one. And then, Jummin' Impi there at the end. I think he might be too good for the podcast, I can't remember, but he's just a battle and works hard. Kind of saved the game there in the end with that spoil, as well. So he's a guy I like to throw on my field every now and then, but if you look at the Hawks in general, like two guys over a hundred this week, Conno McDonnell and Josh Ward, but a pretty nice even spread. Like if you've got Hawks and you can chuck them on the field, like, they're a good chance of at least going 70 plus most weeks. So it's pretty encouraging if you are a Hawthorne owner or on a few of their players. Like you're gonna get some decent scores out of them, just cause the way they share the ball around by the looks. On to the Katz Lawson Hunt Free's Had 98, continues that role off the half-back line. Just needs to do it more consistently, which we sure he is. He's a class player and he'll get there eventually. Tana Brune was back to the half-back line this week. He's been on the wing over the past few, well, one and a half games, but he's better suited to the half-back in terms of fantasy scoring when he plays there. He scores a lot better there as well. And the only other problem he mentions was that Garthry, he kind of pops up from time to time and scores okay. Mitch Edwards, not scoring from a fantasy perspective, but we're just seeing improvement in the Ruck there. So probably just good science for the future that he might be there. Number one, Ruckman, say, very, like a very good stash option, I think just in case Toby Conway never comes on, he's probably the next in line. Anyways, that's it from that game. I'm sorry if that was brief, but I do have to get moving, but we've got the podcast done, got the last game done. And yeah, we'll talk to you next week. See you later.
