Like Kevin Seifert, who covers the Vikings for ESPN, said that the Elias Sports Bureau had this poll that J.J. McCarthy is one of four first-round quarterbacks in the past 25 years who started 10 or fewer games to the team that drafted them. And the others are Paxton Lynch, Trey Lance, Johnny Menzel. So those are just like the worst quarterbacks drafted, basically, in the first round, along with like, what, Tim Tebow and Jamarcus Russell. Yeah, McCarthy's probably bad. And the Giants, again, Brian Burns tore his ACL. He had 16 and a half sacks for the Giants last year. Like, the season's over. Like, that's the short answer, Craig. The season's over for the Giants. I agree. How many games does he start this year, J.J. McCarthy? Probably, honestly, I would like him to get four. I'd like him to get four or five. I think it depends how competitive Jameis is. If Jameis Winston comes out, and I'm going to throw out last week, for Cam Ward and Jameis Winston, it was pouring rain. I don't want to think about that game too much. But if Jameis comes out and looks like he did against the Lions last year, where he's catching touchdowns and, like, you know, trucking defenders, and running the end zone, keep Jameis playing. But, yeah, if Jameis sucks, then I'm like, give J.J. McCarthy half a season, and either lead us to Arch Manning, or, I don't know, I don't mind giving him some run. He can look terrible for the Giants. Someone's going to do it. He might as well be, like, a cheap, ready quarterback. Like, that's really what he needs. Exactly, exactly. He needs reps. He needs to play football. And I don't, I don't love J.J. McCarthy, but there were a lot of people who believed that he could succeed in exactly the kind of offense that's the meta of the NFL right now. Like, he could do under center, drop back, like, you know what I mean? Maybe at least he could be a paint-by-numbers quarterback. He'll probably suck, but it's a fifth-round pick. How many fifth-rounders have the Giants hit in my entire life? Not that many. This is great. This is great. I'm really enjoying this. It's a fifth-round pick. Who gives a shit? If it was a seventh, would you care? I probably wouldn't give up a fifth for J.J. McCarthy if I'm the New York Giants, but I don't really see it. The quarterbacks are Jameis Winston and Jake Hayner. Who cares? I guess the short answer is, like, beggars can't be choosers. Yeah. But, like, I don't know. I think this is a fine move. Yeah. I don't know why I would trade a fifth-round pick for a backup quarterback that I'm going to develop and then, I guess, flip. I don't know. What if there's a one-in-ten chance that he's good? I mean, you just said you mentioned Arch Manning's name. Like, are you out on Jackson Dart now? Like, I would be focusing on Jackson Dart as the quarterback on my team, and I wouldn't want to trade picks away for J.J. McCarthy. Probably. It's not a huge deal. Again, it's a fifth-round pick, but I'm still just like, eh, probably rather just keep my pick. I love Dart with all my heart, and also, he has finished very few of the games that he's played. I don't think it's the worst idea to be, like, you know, exploring other options for free. So, I don't mind it. I will say, the other thing I want to say, though, about this, so, just kind of look at the 2024 NFL draft. You know, they say you need three years to evaluate a draft, and we're about to end, like, this is the third season. Can I just go, like, the 2024 draft is one kind of, like, a little, like, window into the whole season, but it is, like, it is unbelievable the snip-snap experience of the 2024 draft. You have Caleb Williams went to the Bears first, who obviously, you know, meme of the season. jaden daniels has gone to washington almost got them to the super bowl and then now has dislocated his elbow like three times and it's like rg5 drake may for the patriots just went to the super bowl and then now is like the carson wentz of the season in it's 2026 alone so far none of those three have had a normal three-year stretch caleb went from terrible to great jaden went from great to kind of this is a mess drake went from awesome from bad to awesome to bad but then you keep going marvin harrison jr for the cardinals is probably one of the five worst receiver picks maybe in the history of the league if things keep going joe alt for the chargers leads all players in penalties great then hurt then bad yeah look was great then bad malik neighbors look great now hurt and people who are from fantasy probably don't even want to play malik neighbors he doesn't he's not a percent uh the falcons took michael pennix jr who's already had the third acl tear and look good but like is on his third acl the bears drafted roma dunze what a weird draft oh my gosh again this was the fantasy football this was the savior draft this was the first draft ever the first 14 picks were all on offense it was supposed to be a fantasy gold mine you got the vikings took jg mccarthy who now is on a list with johnny menzel like you have uh the jets took olufashan who probably is the the pick here the broncos solid pick broncos at bo nix maybe the best quarterback right now after caleb williams in this class the raiders took brock bowers who is a football robot but the colts took leo to latu who's been abysmal but if you just go down at receiver even even abysmal no no he's fine just like fine but the 1400 yards as a rookie and then now it's like probably cuttable in fantasy football for some people who hate him xavier worthy on the chiefs who is like on i mean a nobody he's just like xavier worthy yeah yeah ricky parasol who has barely played for the 49ers over three years xavier leggett who is healthy but unplayable well he was hurt last week but unplayable for carolina you have keon coleman on the bills who would like if the bills had taken lad mcconkey would they have made two super bowls by now lad mcconkey who is like the key on off player for the chargers but is hurt jalen poke for the patriots the 37th pick in the draft already retired ad mitchell is already on the jets malachi corley is out of the league jermaine burton's out of the league like you just go down jalen mcmillan it was good and then now neck injury like he's hurt like none of these players are having any kind of impact this season at receiver and there were like 10 take it there were eight taken in the first 37 well you could argue that the best receiver of the 2024 draft class was undrafted and his name's jalen coker yes who has i saw a stat that jalen coker this year has more yards than malik neighbors marvin harrison and roman dudes they combined this is this is a really weird draft yeah the nfl is hard so many of these things are related to injury too i was just looking like the brock bowers thing he stands out as probably one of the out like one of the outliers for by far best values in this class but he also has missed huge chunks of time um yeah the injury thing is tough yeah i just it just that's just when i look at the mccarthy trade i'm like all of these guys have basically been incredibly disappointing with the exception of the defensive players who the entire league passed on for the first 14 picks and bowers and bonex so funny world we're living in okay glad craig i'm glad you love the trade as much as i do um i just loved your video being like yeah this makes sense uh yeah i'm into it uh we're gonna see it top 10 pick so you know um like i'm into it i thought it was funny well he's he's back i thought it was funny yeah you hate i do i do ado dk yo obviously the big running back news this week is devon hn for the miami dolphins torres acl and he's out for the season yeah which is just i would say kicking the nuts to the dolphins but i feel like this season had already been gelded so i didn't even know what it is uh who is your number one running back on waivers after week three entering week four i think because of the injury to hn it's between and there was also by the way an injury to breese hall who was a week to week he had a uh quad injury i believe um and he left the game and i so to me it's between two guys braylon allen of the jets and ollie gordon of the dolphins i think i'm gonna give braylon allen the edge just because he feels like the clear-cut actual backup and i don't exactly know how the rotation will go with the dolphins with ollie gordon versus jalen wright jalen wright was hurt in this last game he might be back soon braylon allen i think is the clear-cut next man up and he plays for what looks like a much better offense and an offense that can get him into the red zone more often so i'm going with braylon allen on the jets craig um this feels like the first true week of waivers in the fantasy season because there are there are finally guys that you can add that might be on your team for the rest of the season and these are real running backs that you can slot into your starting lineup i think i mean look breese is going to be out a little bit ollie gordon and jalen wright the two dolphins running backs are going to be there for the rest of the season so you have to factor that in of like you might only get two weeks of braylon allen we should also mention travis achan formerly etn pulled his hamstring it looks like he's gonna miss some time so alvin camara and kendray miller i would say also mix into this i i think if you're looking short term i would take braylon allen if you're looking long term i would take ollie gordon so for the purposes of this exercise like if i want a guy next week i would take braylon allen who i think is the best player on this list i think braylon allen's still really young one of like the youngest guys to come into the league a few years ago um kind of like varying opinions on him i've always thought he was good i've always thought he looks good he's big strong has like a ton of burst um and he scored last week i i would go with braylon allen the jets have the bears next week too yeah i had braylon allen as well for all those reasons and again if you like really want to replace a guy for the whole season uh you could get ollie gordon for the dolphins like if you had a chan the way i look at it is yeah like i think yeah i had braylon allen too i for the same reason i just braylon allen's a better player and he's on a better team and the jets i don't know i just the dolphins are the worst team in the league i know it's just tough to get back on the worst team in the league a backup no less i remember do you guys remember i don't know what how old you were the first time you started going to the supermarket like alone to shop for yourself and i remember like you know you're tempted by like those like supermarket pies and you're like wow i would love to just buy a pie from the bakery section and then i'm older i'm like i don't need a lot of like a bad pie like that that's probably bad for me and ollie gordon like you're getting a bigger share of like the worst pie in the nfl i'm like it's a disgusting pie and devon hn had all the like literally the biggest only jonathan taylor's playing more of running the game and he's like oh my god you're better at running backs than devon hm and he's like one of the most talented running backs in the nfl and he was like fine yeah it was like a borderline starter and now you're going to split the work between two people who are worse so i do the odds that you actually want to put ollie gordon or jalen wright in your lineup each week is like to me so low that i'm like i'd rather kind of just do short term and figure it out i i do want to throw out and dk i want to ask you about jalen wright because i i know that you scouted him and have thoughts on him i will say i think everyone in your league is going to go after ollie gordon he'll be the big spend with your with your waiver money jalen wright who is listed he was day-to-day last week with like a foot stinger thing he didn't play they keep saying he's day-to-day at the end of last season jalen wright out snapped ollie gordon almost two to one over the final five weeks of the season um it might be a better player and so if jalen wright is there a chance jalen wright is actually the sneaky admiral while everyone's spending all their money on ollie gordon you should actually go after jalen wright even if it takes an extra week for him to come back because he could actually be the most talented lead back on the dolphins i think that's there is a chance yeah i mean he was a guy coming out of college super fast i think he ran like a 4-3 or something like that um big play type of guy with question marks around his vision and sort of decision making he came out of tennessee um so you know that that offense in tennessee is all about creating space and spreading the field out as much as possible it's like the receivers are lining up almost on the sideline type of deal um so there is a chance that jalen wright is going to be the most talented player in tennessee and i think that he's going to be the most talented player in tennessee and i think that he's going to be the most talented player in tennessee and i think that he's going to be the most talented player in tennessee um i think that he's going to be the most talented player in tennessee and i think that he's going to carry average in his career but i think it's certainly worth you know it is i think you're absolutely right people are going to be focused in on ollie gordon and right could end up surpassing him later in the season as we go i just think you could probably get jalen right for like five dollars and i think it's probably worth doing that i would hope i hope you can get him for free sure but if you want you know sometimes you got to spend a couple extra bucks to secure and ensure that you get him but i do think you could get him for single digits because i think ollie gordon's going to go for a lot yeah yeah and i wouldn't there's not upside to me it's like again he ollie gordon had 40 yards in a touchdown i'm like that'll that'll be it most weeks uh okay i think it's time greg i think orlando based in personal injury law firm morgan and morgan who's been the number one spender in out-of-home advertising through the first two quarters of 2026 in fact legal services is the number one industry in all out-of-home advertising through q2 of 2026 surpassing hospitals college and universities restaurants and banks which kind of blew my mind and in 2025 morgan and morgan was the number two spender in out-of-home advertising second only to apple what wow this injury law firm in orlando the second and apple was first which i just blew my mind yeah so matt's question is how much money did morgan and morgan spend on out-of-home advertising in 2025 are they a national brand or just in florida i think they must be national national so it's a spend all over the country not just in orlando or something it has to be okay if it's like apple one uh and he says he gets the context of what he means out-of-home advertising includes traditional print billboards wall murals digital over like david montgomery i know but then you're watching the dolphins hoping they score and you're like oh my god they're trying to lose it's not for the players yeah but it's yeah fair enough uh i think i would take again if you need a quarter if you have a chan and you actually want to play for the rest of the season you could take ollie gordon i guess i just feel like we've seen this movie it sucks yeah but maybe it's crazy but i part of this is really tricky because we don't have an update yet so there's devon h and the dolphins and then travis h and on the saints and we don't have an update yet on how long he's out if travis h and is also like out multiple weeks i would look really hard at alvin camara or kendra miller for the saints alvin camara is probably going to play more because he's a legend and just more experienced but kendra miller probably is more juice because camara's kind of washed but um yeah travis h and pulled up on his hamstring and i mean the saints have run the most plays this season the saints have 222 plays which is 60 more plays than tennessee like the saints have already basically played a full game more than the titans through three weeks so i'm like damn like that like if you're talking about camara at that point like that alone is enough for me like we were talking about touches but man like that is a huge disparity so um if you're looking at like a one or two week stop gap i would go with the saints running back dare i mention keaton mitchell of the los angeles chargers who's 32 percent rostered on yahoo he had 50 yards in a touchdown last week kind of just looks as good or better than o'marian hampton and there the split was just much more even it was basically like a three-way split between hampton mitchell and kamani vidal and i'm like i don't know i think keaton mitchell was banged up to start the season i think that could have played a role in why he wasn't on the field as much maybe now he's a little healthier i know it's the chargers but keep mitchell what do you think i mean if you want to go through that hell of trying to figure out whether to start him as a chargers running back i i do think he is someone to consider it's just going to be probably a little frustrating but um if you're just comparing him to like i would say keaton mitchell i think keaton mitchell is a good one i think he's a good one i don't know keaton mitchell's talented and young i don't mind it at all if it's who did you choose officially i i think ollie gordon's the next i guess i'll take ollie gordon we don't know travis h in theory could play this week and then i'll take camara definitely i think the other how long the other i think keaton mitchell's a good one mike washington for the raiders or brian robinson for the falcons just guys that have upside as handcuffs only stash type players um so those would be the main ones kellen moore said he's gonna he's gonna have some time lost whatever yeah he has like a hamstring injury so it's like at least two to three weeks probably longer yeah i think yeah i think the only other person i want to say is if those people are all rostered i want the next version of that is mike washington jr for the raiders which he had one big play for a touchdown so mike washington had five carries for 54 yards in a touchdown ashton genti had 17 more carries only got two more yards which again it was there's genti's interesting man we're like sometimes like he just does nothing and it just feels like he can't get any wiggle and he'll just he's like getting two yards of carry and then other times he looks like the best running back in the league so i think this one's simple i think ashton genti obviously he had the ankle injury in august i think ashton genti just tweaked his ankle at the end of week two and his people are it's under the radar and i i think they're downplaying the injury but i just don't think ashton genti's healthy right now so he could improve but i think there's a reason you don't see him having a ton of juice and not making a huge impact in that saints game and so if anything else happens to his ankle like mike washington jr looks fantastic so uh i that that is probably the next version of this player on this episode is if you're in a deeper league and you're like camara's roster and all these people are rostered then i would go get mike washington for the raiders because yeah and then austin eckler signed with washington which i don't know you should add him but i did want to just mention eckler's back in the nfl yep coming off the achilles tear right yes would you cut guys cut jonah coleman for the i can't the last last week we had to talk about jonah coleman and then it turns out he was more injured than jk dobbins at rj harvey which is just insane and he's on injury reserve now so i love that we've heard about his injury on wednesday that's super helpful it's i would cut jonah coleman yeah yeah it's so Okay. Receivers. Not as exciting at receiver this week. It's a little down in the dumps. DK, who is your number one receiver you'd add after week three entering week four? I think I'm going with Keenan Allen for the Colts. He had nine targets, six catches, 63 yards, and a touchdown. He's running a bunch of routes, 70 plus percent routes per team drop back this year. And the target rate on the Colts so far is basically just concentration. Between him, Downs, and Tyler Warren. So not a super sexy ad. And he also might be suspended at some point because of this drunk driving charge that he got, DUI. But I think for now, if I was going to start somebody next week on this group, it would probably be Keenan Allen. None of these guys are worth starting on your team. And I would even argue not many of them are even worth rostering. This is like last guy on your lineup type of stuff, I would say. I'm curious to see what happens tonight in the Eagles game, Dontavian Wicks or Mekhi Lemon. But yeah, Keenan Allen, sure. But I don't think any of these guys are worth dropping somebody on your team for, I would say. I agree. It's a desperation thing. It's like if you have a bunch of injured players and you're just absolutely fighting for your life. I would probably do Keenan Allen too, just because they're playing Washington. The game's in London, but if it's for this week thing, yeah. Keenan Allen's probably got a better chance against the Washington defense. You know, there's like Wanda Robinson, I feel like, because people are being cut because he has sucked and he had a bunch of targets, but that game was against the Giants and in the rain. And yeah, it sucks. I agree with Craig that Dontavian Wicks, if he's around, we'll see. We're recording this before Monday Night Football, but he's probably one. And even A.D. Mitchell for the Jets, if he's around, is like a good player in theory, gets separation. The Jets offense looks good. But the problem is A.D. Mitchell, like he has a finger injury, but his whole hand was taped. And the problem is he already kind of has issues with the drops. Right. He was already kind of shaky on catching the football. I know. And now it's like a big club for a hand. And I'm like, just like he's going to be like Buster from Arrested Development, just swatting the football like, I'm a monster. And I'm like, yeah. So it's weird that he's going to be. Get out! Lucille! The question is, what about the Dolphins guys, Malik Washington and Chris Bell? Chris Bell, I'm interested in and I think might be worth a speculative ad. If you're just like, screw it. I want upside on the end of my roster and I'll wait all year and maybe it'll work out. Chris Bell is this like big, fast, coming back from an injury. Caleb Douglas, the other rookie receiver for the Dolphins, is out. Chris Bell kind of looked good. Honestly, should have had a bigger day. He had 70, 67 yards this week, but there was like two plays where he could have got a touchdown that were missed. Again, Dolphins, do you really want to be attached to the Dolphins? But I don't mind Chris Bell. I'm actually going to change my answer to Chris Bell. And here's why. I think if you like, gone to my head, it was more points next week in fantasy football. It's probably Keenan Allen. We're talking about season long upside. Chris Bell coming into the draft out of Louisville was basically the A.J. Brown clone. And people were looking at Chris Bell like, oh, my God, he's like this huge, powerful, fast, explosive athlete, physical at the catch point. And then he tore his ACL in December. And I think we were all a little caught off guard that this college player was going to basically rehab his ACL, miss a lot of time in training camp and then start for the Dolphins. But the fact he's even playing right now speaks to his incredible recovery. And then he looks good in week three. That is obviously not normal for a rookie to tear his ACL in December and then look good. So part of me is just thinking like talent upside. The same reason I don't love Ollie Gordon is a big plotting running back on a shitty team. Chris Bell's probably going to get a lot of garbage time and they're going to try to get like, honestly, the Dolphins best offense is probably going to be yards after the catch for Chris Bell. So fuck it. Like it kind of wanted to bet on talent. I'll just do Chris Bell.
