Absolute Surrender- Zandre

Hey everyone, my name is Andre. I'm overseeing the 412 churches in Amabia. My wife and I, Janina, are working into the churches and as you listen to this online message, my prayer is that the Lord will use this message to bless you and to help you grow into the fullness of what God has for you. So bless you as you listen to this in Jesus name. There's this word in the book of Psalms that I love. You'll find it depending on your translation in between verses that says "salah" or "salah" depending on how you pronounce it. I'm not a Hebrew scholar. But you guys have seen that word before. I think Psalm 3 is the earliest one that has it and a few others has it. And what it is, it's actually a word that has a very, it's a, I don't want to say it's meaning, but it has a purpose because if you could read it, it's not actually a word. It's a musical musical instrument. It says something more to you in what you're doing music than it does in terms of your language. But if you were to put it in words, it means pause. You've now read this first verse. Don't just run onto the next one, pause and actually reflect again on what was it being said. Like really digested a bit. And this morning it feels like the Lord wants to do that the whole time with us. And what it is like pause and reflect on the words of the Lord. And if you think of even what we're singing now, it's like, even let me pray. Lord Jesus thank you that we can just pause Lord our lives and look to you. Lord above all distractions, above everything that this world wants to come Lord and draw our gaze away from you Lord, would you even help us by your spirit to look to you? To remember your goodness Lord. Your goodness of yesterday Lord, I have faith for your goodness of today Lord and I have an expectation for your goodness of tomorrow for you or the God that's the same Lord yesterday, today and up until eternity. But Lord may we not miss the moment, Lord, where we can draw our attention to you. In Jesus name, amen. And so the message that we are after today is called, is titled Absolute Surrender. And really this concept of sailor and pausing and reflecting is going to you'll see it throughout the entire message. And last year you heard even Christen say, I mean how many times did we say it like we want to go out and then we felt actually as a Lord saying no not yet, first deal with this. Deal with this. If you were with us last, you'll remember every single Sunday ended in our standing and repenting about something. You guys remember that season? And maybe you didn't realize it but it was a Lord purifying us before he senses out. Dealing with this, dealing with that. Now we're not done. We're not pure. We're still being purified and I think we're walking a road on all of those things. But recognize that the dealing with those things was for a purpose of being a beacon and going out. And now this year that theme is continuing. It's like we're all going out but it's taking us back. If you think of you can even go check the last messages, the last 10 messages in Kradarath have all been about this fully surrendered to the leading of the Holy Spirit but with a focus of what is taking away from that. Like this thing is like Andrea was sharing about insecurities, how insecurities strip us up from following the leading of the Holy Spirit. We shared about self-pity, selfishness, next Sunday, how that strips us up from following the leading of the Holy Spirit. Last weekend, that wasn't even the message that was prepared but it was a Lord saying deal with this because I want you guys to be a people who's absolutely surrendered to me. And for me, the verse really that summarizes what we've been experiencing, that summarizes what has been happening and actually as a moment we're saying now Lord we see what you're doing. We will give ourselves to that even further. James 4 verse 7. Therefore submit to God, full stop. Submit to God and nothing else. Like up until these messages were, don't submit to them, don't submit to them. Deal with them. Recognize that in your dealing with your doubt, you're actually submitting to doubt, you're submitting to fear but you're not submitting to God in that moment. And yes, the second portion is as true because actually that's the devil's plan, resist the devil and he will flee. His plan is to bring about into your brokenness, into your past experiences, into your sin, into the shame and guilt that you've experienced from the past, you say you're not with, you cannot do this. So that's been the messages but I think as a people we can we can actually start saying that listen Lord Jesus thank you for dealing with these things, thank you for being so gracious but if I would summarize everything Lord just helped me to surrender to you and not do anything else that the flesh wants to offer. Now what does that word submit means? Subject yourselves to be under obedience. The Greek word there if you look at it is almost like think of what you call it a weightlifter that's doing this move. Powerlifter, powerlifter, powerlifter and then he's under that weight of that you know in the Olympics they need to stand in the right posture for the right moment and then they only get the clear right that submit to God. It's the same word very similar to the word in Greek for endure actually. It's come under what God has for you come under that remain under that actually to be under obedience for what the Lord has for you and carry His weight and no other way and I think the hardest thing for any man probably lady as well but probably more difficult for man is to submit to anyone. And I think it's difficult for us to submit to each other and there's a leadership preaching that but we're not looking at human submission now. We're looking at the submission to the one that we cannot see and really the picture that I had in preparation of this message especially with that verse and maybe just keep that verse up it kind of like I highlighted yeah in my notes where the first office green submit to God and in the second office in red resisted devil right you know there's a contrast there it's like two sides of the same coin right and if the picture that came up for me is let's say Jesus Jesus is the tree with beautiful branches and shade and he says come under me submit to my will and if you're in me I'll keep you safe he says I'll just a bit of a game in my head so bear with me but imagine he says to you if you're in my shade nothing will hurt you and then lion suddenly start coming and walking around and they come to the line of where the shade is and you like just the thing is gonna get me but Jesus said if you're under me I'll keep you safe now what is the time it's gonna be in your heart at that moment to run and actually the running from out and from from under out use protection on the right you guys got me running under running a wave right running out from under thank you that's that's a very fear the fear is gonna drive you away from the very thing that's gonna protect you that's a picture that I have of that they for submit to God then you'll actually be able to resisted devil and he will flee from me this is not my favorite saying but I have felt it come up a few times in preparation for this message I think it's reached its favorite saying we fear is an acronym for false evidence appearing real one of your favorite right you thought it to me and I think in that moment it's applicable because Jesus says the truth is under my protection you're safe but the false evidence is this line can get you and then you run away and I think so many times it's like that in our lives so we must yield ourselves to what he has determined good and again remember this thing of sailor just pause and like how many times in the day do we pause and ask ourselves Lord what have you determined good driving around frustrated with a taxi oh Lord that's not a fruit of the spirit like I must actually come under something of you and not something of the world standing in a queue irritated or I don't know what do we pause and reflect on what the Lord has already determined as good the fruits of the spirit take time to grow in our lives but we must devote time to them I think there's so many things in life and maybe going a bit in a circle in my notes now but there's so many things in life that wanted to distract us from gazing our attention to the Lord and it's not just that we must devote ourselves to the things that are good for this life but do we devote ourselves to the things that are good for the next life we pause here sit your mind on heavenly things we eternal beings now already living a life towards eternity but the fleeting moments of this life distract us so some things that are a mere couple of notes here things that I believe the Lord and again it's messages that the Lord has been doing it in us for the last season Are we devoting ourselves to be growing for these things for the next life? Are we devoting ourselves to be growing as worshipers of Him? Do you sometimes just pause during the day and say, "How am I Jesus? What do you think of my worship? Are you growing as one who acknowledges Him before Me?" I was chatting with Darren last week and I think it's a cool thing that he wants to do. I think even thinking of putting stickers on his vehicle so that more people can see the Son of God. I just love it. Maybe you're going to have a few tough conversations that come up but he's willing for it. He's willing to acknowledge Jesus before Me. Are you growing as an ambassador of Christ or as a child? Are you growing as a child, recognizing that you're in somewhere as a child in your spiritual walk of the Lord but you still need to grow and actually need to grow into a place where you don't just receive from the Father but knowing that He says you're in air so you're going to, you're all going to receive something but so you must make sure you're a steward of what is given you. We spoke with the men but I think this is the same with men and women. Are you growing in the leadership call in your life? In the gifting that He has given you? In the service of others. Are you pausing in your normal day and just asking, "What are you doing with serving Ali?" You say, "I must." I'm reflecting on that but Lord speak to me how I'm doing in that. Are you growing in dependence and submission of the leading of the Holy Spirit? I don't think it's things we pause enough for, right? Paul encourages us in there, Philippians 4, we say, "Finally, brethren, what everything's the truth, what everything's the noble, what everything's the just, what everything's the pure, what everything's the lovely, what everything's the good of good report." If there's any virtue and if there's anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things. Think about these things. Spend time and devote your thoughts and even your feelings and even your will, your decisions in the direction of these things. Are we surrendered to the things that the Lord has for us? So if you have heard the title Absolute Surrender before, you've probably heard it from a famous author or theologian from the Western Cape called Andrew Murray. When I was at university, I bought a book out of flea market for ten dollars of Absolute Surrender and it was a lot more worth in ten dollars. Andrew Murray as his famous story, who has heard of Andrew Murray before? Okay, so there was a great revival in South Africa that broke out. He wasn't the one that started but he was very materialistic part of it, you could read the East Queen. And it's a beautiful piece of East Queen. I don't even know enough about how I've been gathering resources to read. So if you want, I'll share those resources with you. But after that change, because he was even confronted by the revival and he needed to shift in what the Lord was doing and come in alignment with what the Lord was doing. And in from that moment when he was living such a life, the pain and the surrender to the Holy Spirit that the people tell the story, that he was walking with his friends and his friends are obviously, you know, people that he's walking a relationship with with the Lord and the discipleship journey. And these guys were just walking in the street and chatting about, I don't know what things are, and suddenly he just poses. And they keep walking and they realize a bit later that he's standing there at the back. And they're like, what's going on? He doesn't say anything he just poses, he just stands. I don't know how long, and suddenly joins him and walks with the making. And then they ask him, what happened there? And he said, just for a moment, I lost complete focus on the Holy Spirit. And I wouldn't put one foot further before I found it again. That's just a story of his life. And I think it's a beautiful story. It's a beautiful remembrance for us to say, are we posing to make sure we're being led by him? He writes in his book of Absolute Surrender. He said, "A pen must be fully yielded to the hand that writes with it. If someone else partly controls it, the writing is spoiled." In the same way, if a believer only partly, if a believer is only partly yielded to God, God's work in that person is hindered. And I think a lot of the themes that's been coming with us is to give over requires trust. I'm not going to give myself over if I don't fully trust that the author is going to write the right thing. But if I'm not trusting his ways, then I'm probably trusting more my ways. And that's right. Isaiah 26 verse 4 says, "Trust in the Lord forever. For the Lord, the Lord Himself is the rock eternal, the only thing that we can." I think we were seeing it so beautifully of abhoudmanlal from this foundation. And in this scripture, that actually contrasts is very beautiful. Trust in the Lord and lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3 verse 5 to 6, "That I give it to you guys. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean on your own understanding. The pen doesn't decide where it goes with all the dust. In all your ways, acknowledging an initial direct reports." You know, I think I'm quite sure. I can't remember the line of the songs. I can sing a song and enjoy it, but when we're done, it's completely out of my head. But there was something we were singing with. I trust you, but I won't lean on my own understanding. Did we sing that? Dana? Sure. Can you just look up the line there of the one song that you were singing? There's something out like that. But if we think of the contrast that are we trusting in Him or are we leaning on our own understanding, it reminds me of the story of Nicodemus. In coming before Jesus and saying, "How must we be born again?" He was expecting an explanation that will stimulate His understanding. And Jesus just says, "Those who were born by the Spirit." The wind blows with wind. It's not something that's to be understood. It's something that He does. In you. We're not getting it, eh? That's fine. Maybe I was listening to it in my head while I was singing. It actually felt to co-cress up to share testimony on this. And then I also have a testimony. Morning again, everyone. So I have a few testimonies where I felt a lot asked me to do something ridiculous in my mind. But I listened and the reward was so amazing. I mean, the example of the when we were at Verniel, not last year, some time ago. And I felt him saying, "I must go to sports in like a sports shoe, a place that sells shoes and then go and evangelize to someone there." And I thought, "What is this? This is so random, but I did it." And the person that God saved from then is now slaughtered into church in our community. And I have a handful of stories like that where the Lord spoke something to me and I thought, "Jesus, me? Is it the Lord? It must be the Lord. It can't be me, but it sounds so ridiculous." But this morning's testimony is actually something where I didn't listen properly. Where I heard the Lord very clearly and I didn't listen properly. And so I was about three weeks ago, I think, almost a month ago. I often like to stay active and try and jog and so. And so I was when I was still living in Claim, went to Guy Jogged out the Avers Road. There the new Avers Road turning off into the new airport road there by the bridge. Jogging and enjoying my time, it just rained like a few minutes before, so it's an amazing time to jog, looking at the mountains. And as I jog and I start going under the bridge, I see there's a gentleman standing on my right. But it looks like a normal guy in work is close, I even greet him. And I see the way I feel a word on a church on Sunday that I must go into the person leading I felt like that in my heart. Turn around. I thought, "No, man, look at him, he looks fine." I ignore that action which now in hindsight, I must say, "Einside is 2020." In hindsight, it was the Holy Spirit actually warning me. He was like, "No, the action I went up on the airport road, continue jogging." And as I come back, I just know I must something. But in terms of, I forgot something at home, I must, I must the Lord. And I don't know what's going to happen now. I jog down as I go under the bridge, the man multiplied from one to two. One on one side of the road, one on the other side of the road. And they're pretending like they're jogging. But they don't look like joggers. Now I see, doesn't I'm like, "Okay, what now?" Because I can kind of see what's going to happen. I turn around and run back, they'll probably chase me. I don't really know what to do. But I hope to kind of just pass them like maybe running the middle of the road and just, you know. But the one on the left that was with me turns and says, "Hey, can you help me with something?" I said, "No, I can't. Jog, he follows me, he corners me, the one is behind me, the one in front pulls out a knife." He's like, "Where's your phone?" And I look at him and I realize I must what the Lord told me. That's my own disobedience that has placed me in that position where I am. And you know, it was really crazy because that's a road. Everyone jogs on this, always cars. And for some reason at that point, there was no one, it was just us three, they. No one on the road. I'm looking at him now and I can see he's also very anxious to just get the phone and run. He even said, "Just throw it there and I'll pick it up and run." But I thought, "Ah, with a throw it, I'll give it to him, the phone's already stolen." This guy is a knife. I don't know what the one behind me is doing or what he has. I'm not really less to try and find out. So I take the phone out, give it in his hand and look at him. He says, "Tanki Buddha, the Neerans." And looking back, there was this moment as he tried to corner me. I knew exactly what's happening. And I thought, "Who does this guy think he is?" Because I know what's happening. And there's anger even spurred in me. But even there, then I just felt just leave it. Like in that angstion. And then I thought, "Okay, I'm okay. I'm okay with this obedient the second time." Because look where I am now. So I gave the phone, they ran off. I had my earphones in. As I see them running the music fades in my earphones and I thought, "There it goes." Now, thank the Lord, my mom is so diligent and the phone was on insurance. So I have a new phone. Thank the Lord for that. And thank you for the diligent mom Lord. But I think there's really something there that from that going forward, I'm so, I almost want to use the word "skid" that I miss the Lord. Because we go on a journey or we start to hear his voice, we're not sure if it's him. But having heard the Lord's voice for a few times, and I'm not saying I'm the most prophetic person, but I've started to learn, this is talk the Lord speaking. And in that moment I heard it and I didn't listen. And what was he actually trying to do? He was trying to protect me and my possessions. Thank the Lord, nothing else happened. I think it's his protection that it was no fighting and blood and anything like that. But I mean, I heard his voice and I didn't listen. Thanks Chris. And just where the people can still acknowledge you. Chris, I want to ask a question because I have it in my notes. One of the reasons you didn't listen, it's probably because you're at your time now, you want to run, you had this planned out your ways. And I know definitely it's, I said at that time to go and joke, I wanted to run a certain distance, so I must I turn around now, running towards something. So I just thought this answer, no, man, I'm just going to ignore it because I have a plan, like Zandhris said. Thanks Chris. And what I want asked not to miss in the story, because that's an awesome story. It's an awesome story on how he missed it. Just like Jonah missed it. And then the Lord still took Jonah away, needed to go. And so he missed it the first time, but he didn't miss it the second time where he recognized the Lord, so he didn't give him to that anger. The Lord has a redeeming story for Chris and in me. But really what caused him to falter is something that I think we miss often. Yes, it's control, it's my plans, but it's control in the moment. The thing on my wrist, time. When you factor in time, think about it, try to pause and reflect. Pause means that what he's not telling me what to do. Scripture says, wait on the Lord so many times. The waiting takes time. What if Chris, at that moment, well, he probably not good to wait next to the guy, but just to say, Lord, and he waited enough to get the confirmation where he knew and then he would have turned around. I always say this, think about it, right? I'm going to share my testimony now, but think about this. Think about Adam and Eve in the garden. Apple is in their hand. And Adam says, wait, let's just quickly pause and reflect and remind ourselves of what the words that the Lord has already said. What have been a beautiful different circumstances, right? Or even better yet, let's pause so much and first take this to the Lord and meet with him and ask him and then let him confirm what he has already said again. But we take it because the opportunity is now and we eat it. But time trips us up so many times. Just before I go into my testimony, the scripture really has one we've already preached about, but it's a Lord laying a foundation for these things in our lives. It's the high 28, 260. Speaking about Jesus as His firm foundation. But in saying that if we believe on Him as a foundation, is the high 28, 260, the last line says, whoever believes on the foundation of Jesus will not act face to the knee. Time. Will not act in panic. Will not make quick decisions relying on yourself. They will rather pause and say, Jesus, what are you saying? I will rather miss the moment. Then miss your moment. Now for me, my story where I missed it. So we were in swap up two, three weeks ago. And we were walking down to the beach. We were not having beach clothes on. It's a bit of winter on it. And it was my wife and myself and our two daughters. And we were walking, it's about two kilometers down to Pebble Beach, you guys, no Pebble Beach is there on the side. Where surface corner is where you can get ice cream. So we were thinking we're going to walk down to Pebble Beach and then just go to the side to get ice cream. But as we were walking, there was something we were processing, spiritually and praying and thinking. We just, we just had a bit of a discomfort, but I wasn't realizing that I was leading I seen the wrong direction, spiritually. And we get to the beach. And so my wife says, she doesn't want to walk on the sand because she's going to take a shoes off and then she's going to be sand in the shoes and then we're going to get to shells. And then she's like, shells are potentially going to hurt her feet. You know, good things, you think of. I'm like, man, and I'm carrying at that stage a spirit of, don't take away the opportunity from me to experience something. Because I was thinking, man, let's just go to the beach and eat these shells and we can turn around. And she's already seeing it from afar. I'm like, let's rather go and react in the moment. Right? And so I kind of like brush her off a bit. Very small, but we just message other, we didn't have unity at that moment. It was off. And I'm thinking to myself, again, time wise, our plan is you go get ice cream. When we get to ice cream, then we can speak about the Sun Fine Unity again, my plan, my wish. And so I kind of like, in a sense, sounds horrible to say, but I kind of like force her a bit to go into the beach. And we're having fun with the kids. You know, the chocolate, the water breaks and it goes far out and come far. And so, you know, my daughter is four and I'm going to two. And they're like running in the water up and down, you know, up and down. And I mean, a chocolate, you know, the water, we all know how it goes. You know, the water is just like that. And that moment is kind of done. And now we want to start moving to get ice cream. So we need to move about 150 meters this way. But these rocks that the people put there to, it's like, short breaking rocks. These rocks are about this big, right? And they go and in some way they get closer to the ocean because they break it earlier. And so obviously, Tasha wants to go on that side of the rocks and my little daughter Emma has a bit the same personality as I do. She's like, let's go on this side of the rocks. And it's quite close to the water there. And I'm judging it, again, I'm leaning on my understanding. I'm judging it that the water at the deepest is probably ankle high in the normal breaks. And you know, every now and then there's a bit of a bigger break. It's probably going to be like, yeah, that's my judgment. And so again, now I didn't know this. But Tasha felt like Christian felt from the Holy Spirit to say, don't walk there. But she didn't have the comfortability to say to me because I already brushed off ones about the shelf. And so I'm walking of Alice in my, on my heap and Emma right here. And we're walking on the side of the rocks and Tasha's walking there. And Emma's here and the ocean is here. And Tasha calls to, kind of like, do you say, are you okay with both of them? Now you must know the rocks are literally this high and they're right here. And I'm walking there and Emma was there. And then as she calls, I turn there and then suddenly Emma's standing there and I'm looking at Tasha and I was about to say something like pride for the water, like, yes, I got it. But the Holy Spirit just tells me, grab in my shoulder. So I grab it and at that moment, I kid you not the water comes to a yeah. It pushes and it pushes for long before it goes back. And I need to lift it up high and high and high and I'm standing there like I'm almost, like the fact that I didn't get knocked off my feet, I don't know how that happened. But if it was a split second later, I'm fairly certain I would have lost my daughter. And so the water goes out, I go to Tasha, I put the kids down, I just rip into them right there because I let them into that. And I learned a lesson there that, Jesus says, "Where this unity I command the blessing and I will not put one foot forward in this unity again." I think there's a side message for us there as a people, like if you're feeling something of this unity, I go and rectify it and then walk further. But again, there was something of the Holy Spirit that the Holy Spirit wanted to say to us there and I miss it. Thankfully, he's still saved our lives. And I praise him for that. But it was not because I'm a great guy. That's because of his mercy. I, in fact, missed it. And again, it's a thing of time. I said, "Light, I said my plans." I said, "We're gonna stick to my plans because this to deal with it now is gonna delay us from our plans." time is always at play when we are considering to be surrendered to the Lord. Waiting on the Lord. In this week there was somebody that really was praising you wanted to buy my call with everything you wanted to. He was making office saying I'll pay the money, I'll pay the money tomorrow and this and that and I'm like I just don't have peace about it. And if you look at the offers of the world, the office says there's a time aspect to it, it's urgent make the decision you won't get this offer again. But are we willing to wait on the Lord and maybe for go the opportunity? Is I of 40 verse 31 but they wait on the Lord shall renew this string. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. There's something of the Lord's string in saying we're not capable of doing it will rather wait on the one who is capable of doing it. Again what if Adam pulls and says let's take us to the Lord. We could give that verse we found the verse in the song my take-e generation help me out here. It said one we were saying in film foundation we've still got joy in chaos. I've got peace that makes no sense. I was reading in that that if you look at the circumstances around you it makes sense that you should actually be fearful the lions or the this or the that but you got peace when you rely on the Lord. You know modern day life everything is going quicker and quicker and quicker and faster and this we might think this is a product of the last 50 years of the internet and all that. You know the product has just been continuing like the first time a watch was created was 200 years before Christ. The first sundial was created and then already there was a Roman playwright that made a like a satiristic joke about this is going to change everything in the way we live. Can you put that quote up? I'm not sure. There you go. Now he was writing jokingly right? He was saying the gods confound the man who first found out how to distinguish hours. Confound him now that's assumed that's like an old way to say something ugly to somebody. Confound him too. In this place set up a sundial to cut and hack my day so rigidly into small portions. He goes on to say that before when he was a child his tummy was his clock. Like he's tummy with telling when he's a hundred or when he's not. Now he was saying that he may not even eat if the bell doesn't say it's the right time. And if you accelerate things you know the printing press in the 1400s accelerated things tremendously and then in 2007 we all got iPhones from Steve Jobs and this modern set up is going around that a normal person touches his phone 2600 times a day. Quite a lot today. There is one for the young man that say that normal 21 year old in America not sure if it's the same year spins 10,000 hours playing PC games or games by the ages he comes to anyone. 10,000 hours is the old 10,000 hour rule that says if you do anything for 10,000 hours you become a master at it. If you've spent so much time studying a degree as you were playing games you would have had a full honest degree and halfway over masters already. That's so much time normal people in a sense and I was there as well the vote in directions that's not posing and reflecting to the Lord. This constant distraction is notification social media I think I needed to repent about this but I think we're quicker to Google answer them to ask Jesus. Right it's even quicker and if you think of this thing you know Jesus is don't throw your pulls to the pig or speaking about the pull of great price. How is a pull formed? But it's an organic process it's when a muscle oyster gets something in that irritates it. It starts protecting itself by putting layers of stuff around it, pull around it and then lay two on it just pull that form. Now what if that grain of sand resisted the process? Thankfully in the oyster cannot but I think we resist so much what the Lord's creating has been a beautiful thing that takes time because we're rather want to spend time on something else but we don't give ourselves over to the one that we must re-indity. You know a beautiful scripture that that touches on this the same like James 4 verse 7 does where we must submit to the Lord Jesus Romans 12 verse 1 and 2. I appeal to you therefore brothers and sisters by the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living sacrifice just like this grain of sand must present itself over to the oyster. Presented as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God. This is your spiritual worship and do not be conformed to the pattern of this world that if you shouldn't be conformed to this you should be conformed to Jesus pattern but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that by tasting you may discern what is the world of God, what is acceptable and the perfect world. The bull gives itself over think of scriptures where it says it's no longer I or love but Christ who lives in me. Where we say present yourselves as a living sacrifice that reminds me of taking up your cross daily it's like you're dying to your ways and allowing ease ways to come over you. We can like Jesus say not my world but yours. It's a process and are we trusting the one that has ordained the process? You know they say if something is confirmed in scripture you know like really focus on it like if one scripture says it and another scripture says it and other scripture says it now often it's like Paul says that in one latent in another latent in another latent in another latent but look at this this is confirmed by three different apostles. I don't know if I gave you guys that I give you guys James 1 this 2 to 4 oh yes my brethren counted all joy when you fall into various trials knowing that the tasting of your faith produces patience but let patience have its perfect work like a like the spoole being formed that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing. So James says it and then Paul says it in Romans 5 not only so but we also glorify glory in tribulations in tastings in all those things in refining knowing that the tribulation produces perseverance and perseverance produces character produces hope and then Peter also says it in one Peter 1 the 67. In this you greatly rejoice though now for a little while if need be you have been grieved by various trials tests tribulations that the geniusness of your faith being much more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire may be found to praise honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Are we giving ourselves over to the tasting and the forming although it hurts us so it costs us something to be surrendered and the beautiful thing is yeah don't yell what I'm not saying I'm not saying you must do more it's in fact actually not something you can do you must allow him to do it in you but you must invite it in a Philippians 2 verse 13 says a God who maybe put that up for us Philippians 2 this is really the crux of it if you want to take anything away from this message of surrender it's this for God is working in you giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him so what should our response be and Rumaari says it in his book he says it's not something we should I should try harder he says I am willing that Lord you should make me willing because he does it he does it in us I give myself over to be a pin guided by your hand but help me even to be willing to do that God wants all of us not just part of you once your whole heart you're also all strength everything there's parts that we can't give to him ask him even to help you to help you make yourself willing to give them to you I have something yeah again it's for everyone but I feel something of the men should read by example in this you know the Psalmist in Psalm 5 verse 3 says listen to my voice in the morning Lord each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly are we standing up in the morning saying that before I rush into the busyness of life where I can control things and decide things and less things and that things where I'm going to wait on you declaring that you're always better than mine when I make myself subject to you always first. I think there's a cool, I really feel, I maybe it's probably for everybody, but I honestly feel something for the mania that we must leave by example in this. In our families, but in this nation. Like as things go quicker, let's go slower. It's been more time with him and reflect more on him and wake more on him. And break something open over this nation. So there's a cool today for for the believer. If you're recognizing that you might have been saying you're willing in the past, but when that really gets tested like in Christian's story or my story or during your work day, we're like, am I still willing to submit to your way of Lord? If you're recognizing that actually you should be more willing and you need the Lord to ask you, you need the Lord, you need to ask the Lord to help you be more willing. If that if you've been convicted by that, would you stand with me today? Lord Jesus, I pray for each one that's standing Lord, I know you see Lord in everything Lord, you see across this entire earth Lord, you've created everything Lord is no place where your arm cannot stretch Lord and where your gaze cannot see Lord. So I thank you Lord for each one that's standing Lord that you see Lord in the physical that is standing, but you see their hearts posture as well Lord. You see why they stand. Thank you that you've called them Lord by your spirit Lord. And Lord whatever aspect that they are struggling with to surrender fully to you Lord. Lord may that just weather away and be incomparable Lord to the desire to surrender to you. Lord may we be a people that's fully surrendered to you Lord. Yes Lord above all distractions of modern day life Lord above everything that we can devote our attention and our time and our devotion to actually Lord. May we pause Lord and in moments Lord grow Lord and reflect upon you Jesus and gaze upon you Lord and say Lord how can I surrender to you Lord even in everything Lord. From breakfast until dinner Lord. From before that until going to bed Lord. May we even submit Lord our sleeve to you Lord where we see Lord things of your goodness Lord and your nature being revealed in our dreams Lord and in visions Lord and in and and how you speak to us Jesus. Our full being be yielded to you like the Israelites said Lord in Exodus Lord we say Lord we will not go if you do not go with us. So we'll stay right here Lord and white rather Lord missing other opportunities missing other distractions Lord but we'll wait upon you Lord. And our spirit Lord even as Lord we responding Lord as a people Lord maybe my out times together on a Sunday be marked with waiting on your presence Lord. And Lord if we if we get weary and tired Lord my we remember Lord that those who wait on you Lord will not go here. May those true slow be more true Lord than what are circumstances. How we feel Lord when it doesn't make sense. We guys upon you Lord and get perspective again because Lord you are good you are perfect you've done everything that we need Lord to be in relationship with you and you've given us every spiritual blessing and gift Lord that we need to overcome this world Lord. So may we be those that remain under you Lord and in dear Lord until the very end. Lord living surrendered lives in Jesus name. Amen.
