A Week of Orange County Adventures, Summer House Reunion, and My New Boyfriend!

Joining me is always this my co-host John Hill. Hey John. Hi. Well, this week I recap my weekend in LA and Newport. Got a big award there. I hung out with the Orange County Housewives. I had a wardrobe malfunction at a wedding with John Mayer Plus. Wow. I heart-launched my relationship of 11 months and walked back on an old pickup line of mine. We talked about a summer house and a whole lot more. This is Andy Cohen's Daddy Diaries podcast. Monday, June 8th, 2026. Good morning everybody. It's Monday. It's beautiful. Jordan's been waiting for today's show for so long. Why, Jordan? Well, I think you have some little news for us. I sure. I'm going to share with the class. I talk about my boyfriend first or the weekend that I had. I think the boyfriend. I was going to say weekend. Oh. Let's get the weekend stuff out of the way. Okay. All right. Good, because I'm, I mean, that's, I'm jumping off a bridge today. I am like, really, this is, this is a big show for me. It's a great amount of support. Yeah, exactly. I did have a great weekend this weekend. So I am very happy to talk about the weekend. I went Friday morning. I went to Newport Beach. I received the variety creative impact award at the Newport Film or TV festival, which actually was, you know, kind of bigger and more credit than I thought. Mendy Kaling was there than I before. They had the cast of shrinking the next day. Is that the Harrison for show? Yeah. Yeah. So it was, it was a lovely event. And I think as the radio and the listener called in and said, why are you talking about getting out of Newport? It's so beautiful. I have to say 20 years into the housewives, I haven't spent significant, excuse me, significant time in Orange County and drove from LAX to Newport was driven. And just as we got into Newport, I was seeing things that I, like beauty shots that I had seen on the Orange County housewives. Courages. So I was, I spent several hours in Newport before the event. And then I went to the event and all of the OC housewives were there with the exception of Heather Dubrow, whose anniversary it was on Friday. And I had in celebration of this radio and the listener, I, I realized you need to stay in Newport tonight. Like have fun. And so I texted Shannon and Tamara and I go, can we get something going for after this event? Like let's all go somewhere and have some food and have some drinks. So Shannon was like, look, there's my, I belong to this private club on the marina or whatever she goes, or there's the quiet woman. I go, yeah, we're going to the quiet. No question. So we went after the award, which was great. Kate Arthur interviewed me from variety of who's a great Bravo fan and just scholar. And we went to, we all went to the quiet woman and I got to tell you it was really fun being there. In fact, they had reserved the table where the big Shannon Badoor, Kelly Dodd incident happened all those years ago. And it was me and the women at the table. And then Jen Padranti, Gina and Tamara's got, no, and Vicky's men were all. There was a boys table separate from us and they sat there and I have to say I had just a wonderful time with those women and I, and I happen to be so jazzed up about season 20 of Orange County for the biggest reason is it just feels like we really got a lot of the old magic of the real house size of Orange County back. And I'll go into that more later as we get closer to the premiere, but it's a really good season and it's a measure of what a great season it was that all of the Orange County Housewives can have dinner together and have fun together and they all did. No one's, no one is in hate with each other. And I, you know, there was conflict obviously, but it wasn't like, so I love that. And I sat between Vicky and Shannon and I got to tell you Vicky Gunvelson 20 years later and she, you know, she turned to me at one point and she goes, why do I get emotional every time I see you? Like why? What is that? And I go, Vicky, you and I have been through so much together. I mean, when she started the show, she was 42, I think, 43. I was 37. I mean, it's wild to think about, you know? Our lives, our lives have completely changed together. And so I feel a lot of emotion with her. So we just, we had so much fun and it was so great being at the quiet woman and thank you I met the owners and they're just cool people and it was just awesome. It was a great, great, wonderful time. My heart was full being with the ladies, had so many laughs and Emily and Gina were just awesome. We did talk to a lot about the kids. They were asking me a lot about my boyfriend because those pictures had, had broken the day before and so we had a lot to talk about that. Told them a lot. And so that was great. And to LA on and I saw Jeff Lewis on Saturday went to the polo lounge with Bruce for lunch, ran into three housewives at the polo lounge. Two tables over were Lisa Rina and Durinda having lunch and then when I was leaving, I saw Larsa Pippin, possibly on a date, possibly not on a date. I mean, it was lunch. So who knows? Had her face look, is it still allergic reaction to be? She looked great. Why did she have an allergic reaction to a bee? Apparently. Oh, okay. I went to a wedding on Saturday night of my friend, Elijah, who created and runs online ceramics. That great clothing line that we love and I met him through John Mayer. He's a dead head friend of mine. He did all the merch for dead and company over the past several tours and online ceramics is a huge brand and really great. He was marrying Moira, who is Moira O'Neal, who's just, she really reminds me of Graciella from when I met Graciella. I mean, like she's just a free spirit and so smart and just magnetic, someone that you would love her, John. And so he had, they got married at Chaplin Studios, which is John's studios that he owns with McGee. And I say it again. On LeBrea. On LeBrea. And so John picked me up for the wedding and Elijah had said to me, "Will you come early and hang out with the groomsman, hang out and we're going to have a toast and I would love for you to be with us?" And I said, "Great. John picks me up and he goes, look, he said I have this gray suit that I'm wearing right now." And he said, "But I brought a black suit." He said, "All the groomsmen are supposed to wear black suits." He goes, "The black suit doesn't fit me as well." And he said, "He attacks it, Elijah about it." And Elijah, Elijah's response said, "He goes, so I think Elijah's response said it's fine to wear the gray." And I go, "I don't. I go, you need to change into the black." I said, "You don't want to be the groomsman out to wear to be standing out." So he, I get him to change into the black in the car. So he changes into the black suit and I go, "That would be terrible." Now I'm wearing this powder blue linen suit and a pink t-shirt and he goes, "Hey, Don Johnson. John Mayout was like, "Hey, Don Johnson." I was like, "Yeah, I know whatever." And because the dress code for the wedding was dress fun. So I thought, "This is fun." We go back to hang with the groomsmen. They're all wearing black, of course. And Elijah is like, "Oh, you're wearing bl-." It was pointed out to me immediately that I was now. I was- But you heard a groomsman. Well, that's what I thought. But then Elijah said, "No, you're walking out with the groomsman." And he said, "Well, that's an important fact you should have known." I know. And he goes, "I believe that I told you now." Oh, no. And I was like, I was freaking out. out and John goes now who's the guy? Yeah. Color. I was like, oh, this is terrible. Now I'm really freaking out and also a weird glitch in the Andy Cohen matrix because wouldn't you say like with everything I have going on, I usually keep shit like that. What's an important distinction? A guest or a roomsman? Right. Yeah. So I still need to go back in my texts and emails and see if he. That's a formal ask also. It's not just an offhanded text. I know but no, but Elijah is an offhanded guy because he's well then that's on her. He goes with the flow. I mean, he's a just cool, vibey guy. And by the way, he was the least bothered of the whole thing. I was really freaked out. And John goes, well, since your dress like that, I now feel like I can go to the grocery suit because I'm not the only one. He changes back into the gray suit. He comes in, I go, John, really it was not a pro to suit. I go, that looks like a black, like a pro to version of black. Like it was a very dark gray. I said, that's basically black. So that didn't matter. But it was just so weird being the one in the wrong outfit. I did walk out with the groomsman. It was a wedding in the round, which was John's idea. It was so beautiful. Their vows were so beautiful. I kiddingly said to Elijah, oh, when did you write your vows like last night? He goes, no, I wrote them this morning. He goes, I took an outdoor bathtub, which I mean, if you need to know anything about Elijah, he was like, I was outdoors under the trees and I wrote the vows. They were so beautiful. I cried several times. And it was just an incredible wedding. It was such great vibes, great energy. I was out till two. I would have stayed out later. I had an 8 a.m. flight so that I could get home to take the kids to Sunday dinner. And I slept for the first three hours of flight. Woke up. We were being diverted to Pittsburgh because of weather and we needed to refuel. And they're like, but we promise we're going to get right back. I'm like, I can still make dinner. I said, put the kids in the PJs. I'm going to take them to dinner in their PJs. We land at JFK and we are on the runway for an hour. They didn't navigate for us. I missed my dinner. My boyfriend took them to dinner. So that was nice. And I'll get into that in a second. But anyway, it was, but I almost became the person that was screaming on the plane. I a couple times was like, this sucks. And then I was like, okay, you need to, you, you don't want to be the guy because it's not going to actually change anything. It's going to change. Nothing except I'm going to make a spectacle myself and I didn't do it and I felt proud. Okay. So let's talk real talk here. I feel like if you've been listening to this show, maybe you've gotten a sense that something's going on with me. And this fella and I have been holding hands all over town, you guys. So it's wild that there were photographs taken the other night and people have said to me, you were at via Corota. What did you expect? I've been in that restaurant holding hands with him for the whole time in the restaurant outside of it. However, I didn't see a paparazzi, whatever. So you have a boyfriend? I do. And I, people have asked me for a long time, you know, when, when are you going to get a boyfriend? Why don't you have a boyfriend? And I have always said, I will know when I meet the person. And I got to tell you something. When I met you, John Hill. I knew I just had, I was looking at you. I was magnetized by you. I was like, there was an energy and I just be too. Yeah. And so that's always been my vibe. And so otherwise you're forcing something. Exactly. And even though it takes forever sometimes, like if you know, you know exactly and I, I don't want to be with the wrong person. And I value my time too much, I value my life too much. And I have great friends and a great life and great kids. And you know, my criteria about what I was looking for never changed. It's always been a feeling for me and I've always followed the feeling and I am really happy to say that I met, I met the person you guys. We met at my friend Justin's July 4th party last year. So it was 11 months ago. And I saw him from across the party. I almost didn't go to the party you guys. I almost didn't go. And I dragged myself out. I never get invited to gay parties in the Hamptons anymore. And I was like, you know what? Let me just go. I went, I went. And I was like, I got to talk to this guy. Who is this guy? And I went, we talked all night, I very methodically put my number in his phone and he was like, wow, the way you, and apparently I said to him twice that night, make sure I want to make sure this number is right because I really, and then he said, wow, he said, I knew you were serious when you were really like serious about this number. Why wouldn't the number have been right? I just wanted to make sure that I put it in right. But this man is kind and strong and smart and he's an adult and he loves my children. And they love him and I love him. And we have been so slow and deliberate and methodical about getting to know each other and introducing him to the kids and just entering him into the equation of my family so slowly. And I have to say it has been so easy 11 months. We've not had one fight. We haven't had a disagreement. We have similar. We just view life the same way. And one year later, I still can't believe I found him. And I do share everything with you guys on the radio. But I just thank you for giving me space here. Not that you had a choice. But I just wanted to be smart and slow before saying anything about this. And obviously Jordan and John knew, John has met him. He is so low key. He is not in my business. He doesn't watch the housewives. I got him to watch traders last year and so that was fun. We watched it together. And by the way, the housewives can keep secrets. I showed them pictures of my guy at BravoCon. I'm walking around to Kyle Heather to grow. I mean, I'm showing them all pictures. And nobody said a word. It never got out. I showed so many housewives, you guys. And it was so wild because these pictures went up on Dumas the other day. And I was like, oh boy, well, here it is. And he had told the people at work that he felt like he needed to tell. And I was already in a place where I was thinking I was going to talk about it on the radio. I'm going to wait until it's a year. July 4th. I'll talk about it when it's a year in. And I'm not the guy who's going to post a picture of us and say this is a hard launch, whatever. Right. Just not really my style. No, this was perfect. It's perfect timing. It really is. And the pictures are cute. We've been holding hands all over town. I think the pictures could be better. And it's so wild because the pictures went up. And I'm like, okay, well, I'm not going to say a word. I'm just going to talk about it on the radio when I'm ready. I'm going to see, by the way, if anyone pays attention to this Dumas thing, well, I mean, it did. It really went everywhere. And I think what was wild is that immediately his name was in all the headlines and they were like, finding out who is this guy and what? And I was like, I was like, are you okay? You okay? I mean, it is stressful. I checked in. And by the way, John checked in very sweetly and then by the way, God bless you, John. Then there's all these articles who are Andy Cohen's past boyfriends. So I mean, John and Clifton's Google alerts, Clifton texted me and he goes, well, my Google is really. Yeah. I stopped looking. He goes, it's been a while since this. So I'm like, well, I haven't confirmed it. So then John Geyser calls. She goes, you know, Bruce confirmed the news. I'm like, what are you talking about? He goes, he put hearts under the post and then he reposted to do what with love is in the air. Oh, no, as the song. I'm like, I go, Bruce, I was not saying anything about this. You know, he's like, well, what do I know? goes well. I'm happy because you're in love, Andy, you're in love. So anyway, status, satisfactory explanation, Jordan has been, Jordan thought I was gonna talk about this a few months ago. It's like, it's today the day I go, no, I'm not. - Well, you've been, if I can share, you've been really happy and excited and like it's just like bursting out of you that I really thought you were just gonna like, shout it from the rooftop because you're so happy. Which I love and you talking about it like makes you wanna cry, you're so sweet. - I really am happy. I just, I can't believe I found this guy. I just, I cannot believe it. I can't believe it. I mean, shock. And I got a text, Marisol, 'cause Mama Elsa was wrong. If you recall, Mama Elsa said, you will not have love. But didn't she have a caveat to it like you won't find love in your life? Was it that definitive though? - I think so. Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. I'm Andy Cohen in New York City with John Hill and the gang. - Good morning. - Good morning. I am officially caught up on. - Love Island. How many hours has it been, I grow up. - How can you invest in that? - I have to. I'm hosting the reunion so I have to. - It's on every night for two hours. Babe, it is, I feel like, by the way, I'm happy to watch it. But it is a job. - I mean, think of how many hours Big Brother is. - This is absolutely, and why I can't do it. - It's crazy. - If I was a stoner living in college with nothing to do, I would be all over that. And by the way, I will say, they're so young, like they talk about what they want in life. And they're like, I mean, I'm looking for, I'm like, girl, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. - And are they all cocktail waiters and stuff? - Yeah. - Trainers. - I mean, here's the thing. I will say this. This is gonna sound sexist. The boys are the dopes. - The girls all are like, that's not sexist, that's real. - No, that's just real. - I mean, sexist is, I don't know. Like, it was just, anyway. So, and do you feel good now that you've shared your love with the world? - I do. It turns out that my guy was listening in a drama. - Oh, that's nice. - And that's his assistant block off the time. 'Cause I told him I go, look, I'm gonna talk about this. And he cried. (laughing) I told you he was a cryer. - Oh. - Yeah, I do. I feel good. My sister said I did a good job. - You did do a good job. - Which is good. And look, I knew that it would be another day of, you know, being written about, and that's fine. I waited. I said, you know, so. There you go. I feel good. Jordan, any feedback from? - Oh, no, I mean, I thought it went. It was good. No, Kenny, I loved. I loved the speech. I'm happy for you. - The speech is good. - I love love. - Yeah. - I love that Kevin Criden is happy. - Okay. - It's also exciting. - There you go. Okay. What else do I want to tell you? - Yeah, I just, I feel so victorious and I'm caught up on love Island. I mean, I don't know. You want to know a big pet peeve of mine. And it's come up twice in the last few days. People texting me saying, can I ask you a question? Or I have a question when you get a chance. It's like, now I have to respond to you and say, yeah, just text me and say, hey, to bother you but, and ask the question. Because you know what, if you text me and say, I have a question when you get a chance, you know what I'm not gonna do? Text you back. I'm like, I didn't text either of these people back. I was like, well, now I'm just in your cycle. I'm busy. - 'Cause also then it's asking you for your schedule a little way. It's like, I technically don't have any time for you to be able to have a chance. - Yeah, I don't have a chance. - You need me to give you time, I will. How about this? I don't have a chance. - Right, yeah. I never do that but I did do it to John Hinky the other day because I wanted to separate it. It was a serious, more serious question. And I was like, when you have two seconds today for like a phone moment or something. - Well, that's different. - And because I wanted to, otherwise, we're chatting all day long about like, this hot guy or that bitch or whatever. So, this hot guy or that bitch. Like, what was the nature of what you wanted to talk to John? - Oh, professional. You had a professional question? - Yes. - And did you ever speak to him? - Yes. - Oh. - And did he answer? - 'Cause I'm also in and out. I'm not, I don't even need two minutes. - Right. (laughing) - Did you consider asking me the question? - No. - Eh? - It's nothing to do with you. - Oh! - So it was more like a theater question. - Oh, okay. All right. - Yes. Are you auditioning for theater right now? - Yeah, I haven't had like a month, but I, yeah. Yeah. I have lunch with my agent tomorrow. - Oh, that's good. Okay. Very good. Yeah, I would like to see you in a show. We would all come. It's got a promotion side with God. (laughing) - Well, you can come see my new solo show. It's all brand new. - Oh wow! - On the 21st and doing a little preview here in New York to workshop vibes though. - Oh, okay. - But I actually sat down and wrote a show when I was in Spain. I didn't have social media so I, that's why you had a lot of time. - And all this, you know, for like two or three years, I did this show that I never really wrote anything for. I just kind of got up there and did stuff. - Right. - And I gotta say that it's a nice feeling to have written out a show. - Right. - Start to finish and then, and now I'm just memorizing it. And it's like, really nice. It's a good feeling. And it's really funny. - Is there a narrative? - Yes. - Okay, good. - I'm off for that. - And when are you in P town performing? - The 15th and 17th at the Red Room. - July. - Okay, great. Very good. Wow. Oh, this summer's gonna go so fast. Lucy is at camp. Ben's school goes forever. Lucy is at camp. Right now at her nursery school, they have a little day camp. - Camp. - So like, she came in my room. She came in my room this morning. She's like a medi for camp. And she had like put her little baby suit on. I'm like, well, okay, you don't, like you're not going swimming right away. Then I'm like slathering sunblock on her. I mean, it's just, God do I hate putting sunblock on kids. First of all, do you spray? I spray Ben because he's just very difficult. Show, show let me do anything. She comes to me still with her hair brush after her bath, 'cause she knows I like to do her hair. It's amazing to me that I haven't learned more ways, like there are all these other ways to braid. I just know the typical braid, but there are all these other braids that I could be doing that I'm, I think too intimidated by and she gives her box braids. That'd be cute. - I don't know if I knew how to do box braids. - Okay. - I'm like an install, like corn roast. Oh yeah, well that would be a cultural appropriation. - If you can do a regular braid, you can also do, it's like, I don't know what the real braid is. No, the fishtail's very hard. - Fistails hard. - When Nanny does the fishtail and I'm like, teach me to do that. Shake it so easy, Mr. C, you just, and then she's doing it in front of me. I'm like, this is like speaking Chinese. I can't do this. - No, that one's hard. But you can do, there's like an upside down one that you can do instead of going over, you do the hair under and then it like the braid pops out more, which is fun and super easy. I can show you we can do a graining tutorial. - Wow, I love hair. I love hair, I love brushing our hair. - Yeah, I love doing hair. - Do you? (laughing) - I used to love to do barbies hair. I would steal my scissors, barbies and play with their hair in the bathroom. - I used to love, well you know, I famously love taking the knots out of girls' hairs with my finger. And there have been times in the control room where deer, like second or third of a year, will let me like play with her hair. And then it became too creepy for the staff. They're like, this is weird. - Yeah, that's weird. - Like what is, and like this is not, this is bad. My God. John Mayer made a movie of like us dancing at this wedding that is so funny and I wanna post it so bad, but I don't think I can. It would be, it would be miss, it would be miss interpreted. Yeah, I can't do that. - Are you slow to him? - Especially not, just don't worry about it, especially now. that I, you know, you're spoken for. - Yes. - I'm very publicly spoken for now. Mm. Oh my God. Now I have to start, do I have to start behaving like a married man? Like can I, ogle at guys still? I've been doing it while we've been together. - Well you, I mean listen, you have a boyfriend. - Yes. - It's almost a year. - Yes. - But I mean, it's not a fiance. This is a boyfriend. This is like, you're a Northern person. I don't think you have to act like, right? - You don't have to act dead. I mean, you're still allowed to find other people attractive in life. - Yeah, I think if, yeah, like if you move into, yeah, I think you have a boyfriend. It's summer, everything's good. You can be authentic and honest about the pastries you see on the street as you like to say. (laughing) - What did I say to that guy? - You look like a piece of paper. - I said you look like a piece of paper. - And you stood 10 toes down after I said. - It's dead, eras. - That is a terrible thing. - It's terrible. - By the way, it's also disgusting. - It's disgusting. - Not sexy. - It's not sexy. - Pastries flaky and fat. Well no, just like delicious. But I'm like the fat old man that's like, you look like a pastry. - It's so, it's so gross. - It's a rock bottom for you. - That was good. - But look where you are now. - That was bad. - You have your own pastry. - I do. - To enjoy it whenever you want. - That was so bad. That was very like sandy. - I exactly. - Sandy Gowen used to be like, he would say to Anderson and I like, have you seen so and so? He's like, he has the most gorgeous skin. He would always talk about like people's skin. And how gorgeous it was. And we were like, (groaning) Anyway. (upbeat music) Back with more from this week's Daddy Diaries, after this. Wednesday, June 10th, 2026. It's Wednesday, I'm Andy, we're live. Uh, hi everybody. John Hill is not here today or tomorrow he's at Smile Texas. Getting his teeth messed with some more. I don't think I really realized that John wasn't gonna be here today and tomorrow. So that is disappointing to me. But I do thankfully have lots to talk about. So are you ever in luck? It was family morning this morning at Ben's school and I walked in. I go, what are we doing this morning Ben? He said, oh, I said, I think it's in the yard. I think it's in the yard. He said, oh no, I think we're doing math in the classroom. And I get there and the, these parents are like, oh you didn't get the memo about wearing sneakers. I'm like, what? They're like, it's a field day. So here I am in my box wearing a suit. But it was fine. It was a light field day, but it was so cute. And it brought me back two years ago. So he's in first grade. I was telling my man that I remembered being in the yard for kindergarten orientation and Ben refused to speak to anybody. I knew no other parents. I almost started crying. He was crying. It was so bad. And I looked now at all of his friends and I know other parents and it's like, oh wow, this all worked out. I could actually cry thinking about it. And I left family morning and there I was. I was, it's basically a straight shot up 6th Avenue to come to serious. And I was like, you know, what I would like to do is treat myself and go in a cab uptown. And I just wazed it to see how long that would take. Scott, how long do you think that it said it was gonna take to go from the village to radio Andy tower? - 20 minutes. - 34 minutes. So I hopped on the F train, actually the M train. And guess what, it's a straight shot. I was here in 11 minutes. I was like, okay, well, that's the way. So I really had a night last night. We, I just, it's been so chaotic. And I had an early show yesterday. We taped our Sunday show and then I raced to the premier as part of the Tribeca Film Festival, raced to the premiere of the Robin Bird documentary. Now, I'm upset, John isn't here because he, not only will love to hear about it, but he will love to see this documentary. And so will you. It was outstanding. Robin Bird is a legend in New York. She was a, she had a show on Manhattan cable where she had strippers on her show. And here was this woman. She was in a MacRame bikini. And she had strippers on. And it was in the 90s. It was right when I moved to New York. It started in the late 70s. And it carried on through the 80s and early 90s. And it was just everything to me and so many people. And she was so sex positive. Sandra Bernhard radio Andy's own is in the documentary. And she was on the Robin Bird show. And it was just Sarah Jocicaparker's production company produced it. And it is absolutely brilliant. It's just so good. And HBO was one of the producers. So I'm assuming it will air on HBO. It was just an outstanding documentary. I can't, I can't speak higher about it. And it was wildly moving also. And I then raced back to watch what happens live where we were doing a screening for our audience. We let them watch that we let them. We're such benevolent captors. We let our audience watch the summer house reunion so that they would be in the know when we were doing the show. Sometimes they come and they're there in the pre show kind of bar area so they don't get to see the show that we're talking about. But we, the production, Darren Textamage, she was like, I would love some nerds candy for this screening. I'm like, well, I actually have a ton of it. So I brought in so much, I brought in a lot of nerds candy and fed the audience. And we had Jesse Solomon and Rachel Lindsay. On last night, it was a great show. We did reveal that Jennifer Lawrence was the Bravo Super fan who was instrumental in cracking the case of who the leak was. There were so many, so many conspiracy theories that one talent did it or West or Amanda did it so that they could get a better edit. I don't know, really a lot of crazy theories. None is crazy as Oscar winner, Jennifer Lawrence, solving this mystery, helping to solve the mystery. So thank you to Jennifer. And I was, we were going to release this. We were going to talk about it and she was going to join me kind of the week after it happened. But she, she was going to join me by Skype from the set of her Scorsese movie, but she was on night shoots and she was actually shooting. So we had been, and then John last week was like, when are you going to reveal it? I'm like, oh my god, I'm sorry, I go, I have to reveal this while people still care. So we did that and there you go. I do want to say that we are going to be playing Bravo, Phona Friend later in the show, okay? So that's the game where you call us and you say, which Bravo Liberty you'd like me to call live on the air. And we will, we'll see if we can, we'll see if we can do that. I'm not going to play that yet. So just a good, yes, good, you're loins, everybody. I wanted to say I did announce, I did really go balls to the walls on my relationship the other day. I generated a lot of talk. Yes, say morning Howard was really on one about my announcement and Gary texted me first thing in the morning and was like, Howard's talking about, it was like 705. He's like, Howard is really talking. He goes, you got to turn this on. I turned it on. I was like, I've heard about a minute of this conversation. And I was like, oh, I am, there is usually any topic he's talking about me. I want to call in immediately. I was like, oh, I will not be calling in about this. Like, first of all, I'm not defending my relationship. relationship to Chris Wilding. A, B, then it turned into like, who's the top and who's the bottom and all this. I'm like, oh, yeah, there's no way. So anyway, at some point, the next time I'm on Howard, I'm sure he'll, I'm sure he will go on me, but we'll see what happens. Also, I heard from the groom, Elijah, who's wedding. I spoke about on Monday. I heard from him last night after watch Red Evans Live. He goes, you know, I heard your radio and he looked back at his correspondence with me in his text messages. He did, excuse me, I'm, I'm he cupping. He did not inform me that I was to wear a block with the groomsman. And so he felt so terribly. And I said, I am so glad that I didn't, you know, mess up. So it just made me happy. He of course then felt terribly and yada yada yada. I go, no, I'm trust me. This is, this is the preferred thing for me. So all good. I got over it. Um, I neglected to say that when I showed up at the wedding, I had taken an edible. So it made the situation a little more dramatic. By the way, I took an emergency edible the other night Sunday night when I was on the airplane and we were detained for one hour from getting on the gate. I was like, pull the rip quart dude, you need, and by the time I was in the cab home, I was absolutely pleasant. But by the way, at family day this morning, Ben's teacher was like, oh, you're, you fly God in really late the other night. I was like, yes, she goes, I know everything. I go, excuse me. She goes, don't worry, I'm a vault. She said, but Ben really tells me a lot. I was like, oh, wow. And then she was like, you know, you're basically Ben told her that I don't even want to say, but something about my, my fella. I was like, oh, oh my god, there are no, but you know what? I was such a blabber mouth growing up. So he's following in my footsteps. What can I say? Okay, let's go to the phones, Kim from New York. Everybody. Hi, Andy. I just, um, yes. I'm going to see why don't you guys require the cast to watch the entire season before showing up for the reunion? Like with Craig, with Jack's, now Amanda, it's like, they show up the reunion and we can't even ask the questions about the actual season. Well, you can. I mean, they lived it. They just haven't seen how it was portrayed on the show. I mean, it feels like a way for them to like, a day accountability like, Craig, especially in Southern charm, Jack, or we did it on the Interprompter. Teresa didn't, Teresa didn't watch for years. Look, I think this is their job. Their job is to show up for the reunion and answer the questions. And so, look, they're at a disservice if they don't watch the show. It only bounces back on them. So, I mean, yes, of course we, we encourage them to watch the show. We send them the show. I think that when you talk, when you're, when you, you just talked about Craig, Teresa, Jacks, and Amanda, those are all people who had seasons where the reunion was not, not, what's the word? They were in the hot seat. And so they, you know, you could understand why it would be painful for them to then watch the season. Should they be required to? Probably. Yes, it's in their best interest. We encourage it. But, I mean, look, what they're required to do is show up for the reunion. I keep thinking I'm keeping John's teeth in my prayers. I gotta get an update from him. By the way, speaking of Smile Texas and John's teeth, what a set of teeth you have. Did you have braces growing up? Not growing up. I had him vis-align as an adult. Wow. Like, they are on LaV Island. Let's, uh, okay. Let's talk about LaV Island a little bit since you brought it up. I'm fully up to date, which I mean, the fact that I'm like fully caught up, I feel like I have turned in my taxes every time I'm caught up on LaV Island. Like, yes, it's, it's overwhelming a little bit. It's a feat. It is overwhelming. I got really scared because like two nights ago, I was two episodes behind and that's the danger zone. Yes. Once you're, once you're behind, like, you can never recover and it's hard to muster the strength to do it. But being caught up also feels so good because you're like walking through the world like we're all on the same page. To me, the headline of this season is how much smarter women are than men. These men are, they're, by the way, I, I want to look at them. I want to, I think they're really hot, but just there ain't nobody home except for a king called Casey. Casey, the king, Casey is truly protective at all cost. There is, I, I, from the moment the door was, he opened the door and there was nobody behind it. Yeah. My heart felt compelled to, to follow him. Yeah. But every take he has is so good. The moment where he a couple nights ago, where Melanie was trying to lie to him to say she couldn't tell the difference between Corbin, yes, sincere. And he looked at her like girl. Right. No. He's like one of them is 230 pounds. The other one is a whisper of a thing with super long hair. I mean, but then I was reminded that Casey is a nurse in an old folks home. Like, are you kidding me? That, that, you know, tell me you're a special teacher. Like, those are the two professions that are like, oh my God, are you kidding me? He is truly noble. And I just really adore him. He is, I hope he doesn't disappoint me ever because he is so amazing. I also found that in the past couple episodes, I loved how, because on love Island, we don't know these people. Okay. We don't know them. So when they say, oh, I'm into this person, into this person, whatever, I take them at their work because I don't know them. I don't know how They're trying to stay in the show, I think. Yeah. But when sincere and soul connected, I said, "Oh, he really likes her." Yes, yes, yeah, that was different. Soul, she's hot. Soul, I love the name. Soul. I love it when a new bomb shell comes in and they just get to make out with everybody. Let me say this. And I keep thinking it when I see Kenzie. If my daughter ever went on love Island, I would be like, "Oh, this is, this is, I cannot." I mean, and that Kenzie's sitting there with, I can't even remember who, maybe it was Corbin who was like, "Yeah, I want a blindfold. You, I want to." And then she's like, "Yeah, I've never done 69." No, he said, "He's never done 69." And she said, "I love 69." Yeah, right. That's when you bite the pill in half. Yes. I mean, honestly, it is so true. Am I right? I believe, well, you're not wrong at all. It really is something to behold because it's like, and then they have the nerve to, you know, every season have the families come visit and they meet, you know, their significant other with their shirt off and their undies. Like, it's just like such a whole deal that you have to be one of God's strongest soldiers to be a parent of a love Island. It's, that is, that is really funny. And I have to say, I mean, it is a brilliant reality show. It is, it is, it's the show I want to watch. I mean, without question, I'm not slagging the show. It is a, no. So really, and just the other night when that Caleb came in, and then, and the, and soul came in, what I mean, I was just like, oh, this is, this is cinema. And Ariana is so good. Anyway, yada yada yada. Yada yada. Yeah. But nominal program, I stand behind it. The only criticism I have of the season so far, not enough water bottles, haven't seen it. Now, summer house, did you leave dissatisfied? Were you an unhappy customer? Where was your head when the reunion ended? And by the way, the Smith sisters, Julia Cunningham and Kiki Monique did a brilliant post show wrap up, which you can find on the serious XM app. It's the definitive summer house reunion breakdown. It was, well, thank you for that. It was really cool because to start with the breakdown, it was cool because like Kiki has her Bravo Lab universe that she runs in. Julia has hers that she runs in. Oh, we have ours that we run in. Okay. And to compare notes and stuff in a fun way, that was really exciting. But I was a happy customer at the end of the summer house reunion. I thought it did everything it needed to do. I thought it was structured really well. I thought part one started where we wanted to start, which is like we need to talk about West Amanda and Sierra. We rested it for a little bit, came back to it. I loved, I loved, I loved how much of the behind the curtain we got to see, like how many of the breaks we got to see. Right, okay. Like the huddle, Lindsey saying I didn't learn anything. I thought you, I really, I do have a question for you. Do you feel that as a parent, like now that you're a parent and because these cast members are on the younger side, like they're more in like, you know, they're, I mean, they're some of them are 40, but like they, did, it felt like you were almost like in a fatherly protective way, kind of asking them for some kind of response, like a man in West, like you were like, what do you have to say? Just felt like I was like, I've had this conversation with the father figures in my life. Like, did you learn anything from this? I, I think that my perspective as a host has changed over the past few years as I have settled into fatherhood. Yes, but I guess that my thing with West and Amanda, especially towards the end was I was overwhelmed by the amount of emotion that there was surrounding me and certainly Kyle and Sierra, I expected. And so that was not a surprise. And by the way, you know, there were a lot of questions that viewers felt didn't get answered and I really felt like part of my role at this specific reunion was more about dealing with the questions in the room. And so I wanted Sierra to leave their feeling like there was nothing left unsaid. And you know, a lot of some people said, oh, we didn't get specifics about the timeline and I'm like, look, this specifics about the, I'm not sure. We could have drilled down on that for an hour, but it didn't matter. It happened. What more, they're not going to change their story. They're not going to say, okay, yeah, we did sleep together two weeks earlier or two months earlier. They just weren't the important thing was that there was betrayal and there was emotion. And so I wanted to really get down to that and address that and get them to respond to that. I was trying to get them to sit in that. And I've heard from a lot of people who felt like, well, why did you ask West about the beta blocker and not Amanda? And by the way, Dr. Sierra Miller tweeted or threaded afterwards saying, you know, that the beta blocker doesn't quell emotions. It just kind of deals with nerves, which is a really good point. But so it does make me think there was, you know, maybe there was Xanax involved or I don't know what. I mean, and the reason I was that I did ask West and not Amanda in that moment was that we were coming off of a run of at least 20 minutes of Jesse Solomon sitting silently in tears, you guys looking. He wasn't even looking at me. He wasn't looking at West. He was looking straight ahead and he was in like, he was sobbing to himself. And I had never seen anything like it. I had never seen anything like West who was his buddy, not reacting to it. So that's why I asked West in that moment. Yeah. It makes sense. And I was really struck by the moment. It really made me laugh when West was like when he answered you and he was like, no, I do feel this. And if I was sitting next to Jesse, I would, I would, yeah, I'm like, and I was like, I'm sitting a foot and a half way from I mean, girl, use your cowboy boots and get over there. I mean, like, yeah, yeah, that was, that was interesting. I mean, I can understand him feeling like it. Look, he clearly felt like I'm damned if I do. I'm damned if I don't. Whatever I say is going to, I mean, it was almost like he had given up and he was just sitting there trying to get through it. But I, and I get there's a part of me that understands how he could feel like there is no way in hell I'm winning against Sierra because she's so smart. She's so together. She's just, but like with your bros, I feel like give it a shot. You know, I just felt like they played this thing completely wrong. They were just extremely defensive, indignant, self centered. And I was, I'm not saying that my mind would have ever been changed or my heart softened toward them, but I would have just perhaps had an open ear if they had anything to say other than eye rolls, blank stairs and trucks. Right. Yes. Now, how is my dear Aunt Rose? She is great. She is great. When that picture of you and Auntie Rose came through, when you sent it, I was like, I was like, try to, it was took off my imaginary glasses. I was like, what am I seeing? What is this AI generated image that Andy and my aunt are in a picture together? I mean, y'all, I was about to walk out to give the commencement address at Washu and here comes Glorious Aunt Rose. And then I forgot that both your mom and your late great dad worked at Washu, right? Yes. So then I was like, oh my God, I am in the hallowed halls of the Smith matriarchy and even patriarchy. Yes. Anyway, that is so funny. Now, you didn't go to Washu though, did you? I did not, but I do think Washu because since my parents were there they did like they do a tuition remission so they paid part of my tuition to go to my college Dickinson College in Pennsylvania. Okay. And they would have paid all and then half to another school. Wow. Yeah. Now what what are you working on these days by the way? I am working on a I finished like my most recent draft of a movie that Oprah's producing. Oprah's got Sanders. Okay. I'm Carlton's from Drag Race is directing it. Wow. Can you say what it's about? Yeah. It's about a major at dancer to historically black college. So it's like have you seen drum line? Yes. Okay. So it's like the dancers in the marching band. It's about them. But it's about like a ballerina from California who goes to a historically black college and she's kind of like a fish out of water and has to learn the style of dance. Oh, I love it. Yeah. And is Oprah giving notes on the drafts? She okay. She gave notes on the pitch. She did give notes on the drafts. It's kind of it's been a long process. But yeah, she did give notes on the drafts. And is that intimidating to get notes from her? Are you excited to hear where she's coming from? I love her so much. Yeah. So like anything she says, I'm just like, yes, like tell me warm. I'm so interested. And the her openness is like not like a faucet that turns on and off like she is Oprah. So when she gives notes, like I believe she actually quoted Maya Angelou and when we were having a conversation and I was like, it's happening. Yes. This is Oprah. It's amazing. Wow. And when you have these conversations, are you on Zoom or phone? Zoom. Zoom. And is she beat down? Yep. Always. Always in beat. Yeah. Actually light beat. Yeah. And is she there to on the zoom? Yep. But I was like she seems like the type. She's intense. She's a Bravo fan. She's a millennial. Right. She has a lot of time on her hands sitting around on set. So this traps. Oh my God. That is so funny. Can you give me any details as to the how? I can't. I can't. She is going to she'll come on watch what Evans live at at some point and we will and we'll talk about it. Okay. The new thing is that they pull up the clip of me asking the sisters if I'm invited to the cookout. Now they're trying to use this clip against me and what they don't realize is it is one of my all time like top 30 watch would have in slide moments. It is so funny because and by the way, the Smith sisters are not the first people that I've asked if I'm invited to the cookout and you know that I'm smart enough to know that nobody's ever going to say yes to me being invited to cook out. It's funny and so but y'all saying no in unison without even me letting the words get out of my mouth. It is so funny. Oh my god. Oh god. That was that was a moment like where it's like that's just that was us being sisters and that showed how even in that moment of like being on watch what happens live for the first time all this like how comfortable we are around you and how we can't fake the funk or yeah.
