Welcome back, ladies and friends, and other slurs. Hi folks, we're back. My name is Joe Marie Patons. And I am the legend, Lisa Leslie. And this is the read. Thank you for joining us. It is. And thank you, Lisa Leslie. Yes, you know, she is truly an icon and she just got a statue. Outside of the almost head. Well, yeah, it is the sparks arena. Fuck it. Work. Just fuck that. And I love it because first of all, it looks good. And she was like, now y'all know I had to go with, I had to go over there and check on them people because I could not have her looking like a linebacker. And I was like, thank god. And it's in color, which I almost never seen. What? Yes. Well, it's not like, it looks like a statue, obviously, but like she has lipstick and nails and like the jersey is colored. Like it, it looks so good. It looks so good. And she's dunking. So no, yes, it looks so, so good. Oh, yeah, this is gorgeous, right? I've never seen a statue like this. I don't think. It was just unveiled in the world, right? It looks really good. So. Yeah, it's beautiful. Shout out to the artists who collabed on it. And shout out to her. She is truly a pioneer in women's basketball. And a real legend. So yeah, I just love that she's dunking. She's also the first woman to dunk in a W and B.A. game. So this is very appropriate. And Nekah Gwumake is about to retire. And she's another one who's going to be right. Like as soon as she's eligible for, you know, the Hall of Fame, she going to be in that hall. And I won't be shocked if she has all other kind of accolades and things like this celebrating her achievements as well. Madam President, we will miss you, girl. We will. I don't know who's going to take it up. Oh, because she didn't interview Nekah did. And she was like, the thing about being a leader is that you have to like represent people who would not represent you. You have to take up for people who would not take up for you. And I was like, that's exactly why I couldn't do it. Don't ask me to lead shit. Because if anybody don't like me, you can get fucked. Very very solid. She's so mature. Yeah. She is so mature. Both things. Love her. I agree with both things. It says on ESPN, they still can't afford me. That Lesley statue was created by Omri Amrani and Julia Roblett Amrani. Love that. Maybe a couple, maybe siblings. I don't know. Related. But yeah, thanks for bringing this to my attention. This is fierce. I know she walked up. It was like. Yes, it looked so so good. I'm really glad. Somebody statues. Do I wait? Did you see the white? Oh, well, you cover the Miami heat. Of course, I'm seeing that one. Let's stay positive. Yeah. Okay. And we're actually going to keep it basketball because this week's black excellence is going over to a little known person by the name of Angel Reese. Oh, yeah. Never heard of her. You know, just on the cover of Oak. I have that one too. She's the first player in WMBA history to grab 500 rebounds in a single season. Man. Now, granted, this is a longer season than what the girls have had before. But still, you can't deny the Barbie. I love Angel. I do. And the way they tried to clown her for all her rebounds. They called it mebounds because a lot of the time she's getting her own rebound. But like if it was that easy, then every fucking body would do it. But she turned around and started selling mebounds merch. Like, you can't stop that demon. Like, so what you're going to do is you're going to grab both tasks. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, and just give the biggest kiss you can muster. God, I love her. So she was the dreamer playing the sky. And it says that she had 495 rebounds at the time. So she only needed five. And then she ended the game with 23 points, 10 rebounds. Jesus. That is that girl. And this is only like her third second or third year in the league, baby. Whew, things are looking good. They are. They are. She's so cute. I love her. They just did a fever is still putting out World Cup, social media footage. And this last video was like, who on the team would you hire to be your wedding planner? And Angel was like none of these hosts. None of these bitches could be my, are you kidding? Angel Reese's wedding is going to be the most dripped out, you know, if she ever does decide to get married, that is going to be the most expensive shit you have ever seen. She was like, unfortunately, none of you girls in your DIY. It'll be Chanel because she brought it in mind. Thank you so much. Excuse me pardon me, I'm not trying to have on a Dickie's wedding dress. So I'm actually going to get a professional. Dickie, you took it back. Girl, the doll suited top bottom sucks as well. Just reminded me of my second girlfriend. Wow, wow. Of course, that was the reference. Shout out to the baby girls. We're going to move right ahead into our pop culture. It's like what it was called hot tops. And we're going to keep it on the little basket of all seats. Okay, I love it. I found this to be very delightful. One Stephen Adams, who's Houston Rockets. Had a quote after a game that I found simply delightful. He said that you can expect this November for performance. Oh my god. League why? Because GTA number six will be available. And I've never heard anything truer. This man said, I'll say you got to anticipate November. The performance of the league league. Why? GTA is dropping. So look at NFL. Look at the leagues and watch them plummet. Mate. Oh, I guess he's not from here. Just for the month of November. Performance is going to go down. Love that. You should come back up coaching as well. Let me say coaching as well, you know, it's performance because trade will be on the stairs. And I believe that to be right, but it shouldn't be. Y'all are multi millionaires. A video game should not take precedent over your fucking job. Excuse me. The video game. This video game is going to do stupid numbers. It's going to be gross. No, I understand that. I mean, because we looked it up last week, two weeks ago. And I was like, Oh, not this being like, all yet. We did my bad, but you think it's our very rich. Put the damn game down. I don't want to hear you can take. Yeah, I'm actually really fascinated by this. I hope somebody does the numbers. Can I believe him? Yeah, I saw that clip too. And it was hilarious. It was like, I'm telling y'all right now. Come November. Go ahead and go under on them parlays. Because we're not going to be showing it. Oh, yeah. Oh, he in it. Okay. He's from he's from New Zealand. Oh, that's not in it. I cannot fucking wait for Grand Theft Auto 6. I'm so sorry. All year, I was like rock star. I'm going to buy it. You've never ever flopped. You've never, like, missed. So whatever. But if you expect me to be high, I don't know what to tell you. You haven't showed us a fucking. I know it's set in the vice city at K.A. Miami. I know that the playable characters are a couple with some like body-clied money and Clyde shit. Wish I love because there's never been a female character playable as a lead in Grand Theft Auto. Oh, wow. Like, you can make a female character if you play Grand Theft Auto online and stuff. But like a main character in the story is the first time that a woman's been playable. Yeah. And I'm probably, if they allow you to play as one or the other, the whole game, which they probably won, you know I'm picking old girl. I'm going to the beauty shop. I'm getting them braids. I start on a picture. Oh my god. And I'm blasting everybody. I'm riding down ocean and I'm doing what I wanted to do my whole life. Get out. Okay. Okay. You know what? And y'all are going to have a great time with it. It's not. Go home. I'm spraying you bitch. You see. I'm kidding. Listen, no, I'm not. But here's the thing. I'm so excited because I'm going to show it on Netflix. And I was like, this looks like like I know where I'm going. They're going to wear Peter Thomas restaurant used to be where her tribe went out. They're going to have one time I seen a fight. - Over, you know, somebody has bit. - Yeah, okay, well. - Yeah, we talked about it and you asked me, like, what if it's a young Miami radio? And I accepted that. - You did? - Since then, I've seen, they have GTA 6, the album, I guess, I think you can even pre-verberate. - Oh, I think so too. - I think they're getting a little, yeah, but they're calling it GTA 6, the album. - Girl, okay. - Whatever. - 34 original tracks, baby cakes. When I tell you, I didn't see none of the girlies. - Breath of water. - Like zero women? - No, I'm at like, bitch in the Miami. - Oh, okay, yeah, okay. - I feel like Travis Scott was on it. Track list. - I'm like, girl, okay, you're gonna be a solid break. It's on Apple Music. Here we go, Travis Scott, future Metro Booman, young lean. - Hm, young, oh, this is what plucked me. Morgan Wallen is on it. - Yeah, what's up, all the people? Morgan's still on it. - That's what pissed me off, my God. - Yeah, it's 34 tracks on here. And one, two, three, four, five, six of them are shown. I guess if you're listening to them, all the other ones are not, you know, they say unknown 'til the album come out November 19. - Gotcha. - But I looked at the like six that were available. I'm like, okay, for it again. - Thanks, I hate it. - Thanks Scott. - And then I see Morgan Wallen, I'm like, wow. - Yeah, just wanna piss me off. - Well, I wasn't gonna list this album no way. So that's fine. I also assume, though, they have Morgan Wallen or whatever this song will be on the game's radio station. But none for me, thanks. Hopefully I can let you make a playlist like the other game and I can just take whatever songs I don't like out. But anyways, I thought this quote to be funny and very honest and also told me that Mr. Adams, similarly to me say, don't call me. - Yeah. - I am sorry. - It's me that we showed up to practice with bagged eye, bloodshot, dying dehydrated. - Let me look up Steven Adams contract. Think twice, brother. - He said coaching too. Everybody but the owner. - Three here, $39 million, boy. If you don't put that goddamn game down and bring your ass to work. - Right, right. But they, it will be funny. It will be actually be hilarious because that'll be peak football season. It will be hilarious if football players start falling off because of this damn game. - I would love it. Shannon Sharp says that sports agents are not having their clients go on his night cat podcast or club Shay Shay because of his opinion or outspoken opinion on Israel and Palestine. - What? - Yeah, basically he said that the night cat podcast has been doing really well. It's been blowing up. They have Joe Johnson on the pod, I guess, regularly now. And they've been trying to have other athletes come in and join conversation which makes 10,000 percent sense. But he claims that because of him speaking out similarly to Maclamore, when speaking out against what's going on in Palestine and state of Israel and stuff that, yeah. The agents are trying to, been trying to black ball him and his podcast because of that. - Yeah. - I mean, I would have thought it was the sexual assault. - Yeah, that's what I thought. - First of all, I clicked on it. - I'm shocked that it's because he's pro-Palestin. Like, are you sure, brother? Maybe that's just what they tell you. - I mean, but like sports industry, turning their back on sexual abusers. - Right, they don't really do that. The show wants to get a job, so. - But criticizing Israel, yeah, we'll get you down in a bit. - I mean, yeah, I guess so. Well, Shannon, the thing is, I would feel sorry for you but you don't seem like a good person. - There's that, and it's really the headline. That's the bumper sticker, bitch. - Yeah, I just don't, I forgot about that rape case. Just last year. - Okay, Senko, I haven't forgotten you. So. - Right, right, like both of y'all actually kind of come out there. - I mean, I hate that if true, ridiculous. - Right. - I'll never. - I'll never. - I had a similar opinion. - Yeah. Sorry, bro. That sucks. - Sorry, bro. Rolling loud California is on the way. I don't know, no, it's not the first one is. It's definitely, oh, to your hiatus, that makes sense. - Oh, okay. - I blame Drake. Oh, can you imagine if Drake did the club say she think it was like, not on my watch. They must not have rolling where, I don't know. - Oh, okay. - What, what? - Right, imagine, like nobody in hip hop has any say on this. They're making a rolling loud movie starring Owen Wilson. I want to die. - Owen Wilson. Any like 48? - Wow, yes. - I mean, but they're doing the like, you never saw a trap, but I definitely criticized it. Remember that a while ago when I criticized that, M Night Shyamalan movie where Josh Hartner plays a serial killer. And then that one black man in the movie tells him that they're like doing a sting or a trapping. There's serial killer in the arena. - Hmm. - Remember, I read him. I'm like, what black person would ever tell a random white man that came up? This whole thing is a set up, and the fans are here trying to catch a serial killer. No nigga would do that. - Yeah, okay. Well. - If you worked at a merch table, you would not even know. So that made no sense. - Rolling Loud The Movie seems like it's similar to that. Where Owen Wilson, Owen White asked is taking his little white child to go to Rolling Loud. - There we go. (laughs) - And then I guess he gets lost and ends up on stage and he's high with Travis Scott. I'm like, are you guys for real? - He's actually 57. Wow. - Really? - Yeah, I'm shocked. - There wasn't an old black actor that could have had the same role, but this is what I'm saying. - Rolling, I just would have never thought Owen Wilson and Rolling Loud, you know, like I just would have never, I could have, it would have been easier to see this as a black father and son, especially because he's in one of these movie posters I'm looking at, he's like hugging or doing something with a nigga. So it's like, what is it supposed to be a performer? Like, I don't know. I guess I'm just confused about the cast. - It gives me, um. - Vowel on stage, thing gives me a goofy movie, where goofy accidentally, an apostate in our line. - Yeah. - So like, stealing from other black actors, it just, (laughs) - All right. 'Cause goofy and they're black. - No, I don't, we've accepted it. Everybody acknowledges it. - Except Mona Extrange. Now, what? - Yeah, what happened? - What happened? - Rivalry, I'm gonna please go. - Oh, look. - Bob and I had two convinced Monet. - That movie was black. - Guffy movie is a black movie, but she never seen it. - Oh, well, I wasn't, how was she now? - Right, Guffy's like, black is going to watch a no goofy movie, you can watch that. - Oh, that's where you're wrong. - Girl, I was just like, excuse me? Monet, no, man. - I think even one of the white blue, one of the white dudes on production was like, no, absolute, green is a black. - Yes, yes, no. - That's what it is. When I was in sixth grade, the homies was torn. - Yeah. - Where you like, side, two, each. - Anyway, that's what that Rolling Loud movie gives me. Anyway, that's not why I was bringing this up. It just, every time I think of Rolling Loud, now, I'm going to think of that. The bright side is, I'm never going. - It is a part of my life, or my life was a bunch of her. - I'm never going. - So how much offense can I take? - Yeah. You know, and they're so valid, like, I'm not, unless somebody flies me out first class, and I'm in like air condition, VIP, VIP VIP, you know, room to sit and private, clean bathrooms and all, which takes away from the festival experience entirely. That would be the only way I went. - So, I'm like, I don't go, if it's nothing like a festival. - And what, Brittany Griner is there with you too? Like, is she going to Rolling Loud? - Well, since we have a, I mean, look, if we make it a wish list, why not? 'Cause let me tell you what I heard. This is alleged, alleged, alleged, not confirmed. I heard, so this is rumors and gossip that Brittany's wife cheated on her, and that's why Brittany was the one who filed. - That's what I heard, that's what I heard. - Let me sit my embryo. - I thought that she seeking spiles of support or whatever. - Well, I would have expected that anyway because-- - I mean, girl, come on. - Married and now not. Plus, y'all have a baby together, so I would have expected that anyway. But that's what I heard as unsubstantiated. For all I know, somebody pulled that out they asked, but that's what I heard. Hmm, hmm, I would never change. Oh, nobody who was six eighths. That's just me. - That, it's ridiculous. - I know, it is so stupid, but I am so fero. - Where would you find a time? They can see every minute. - Like, hello, I spent all my day climbing you. - All right, let's get back to the climb, which is that rolling loud is coming to California after two years. And I only wanted to bring this up because I look at the lineup. And I think like Ace of Rock is headlining one day. Interesting, he's nice from here. And playboy Cardi, I think, is headlining the next day. Interesting, long rap sheet of horrible behavior. - Right, right. - But the third day is just Pessoal Pluma. Like, I don't know if I've ever-- No, I have seen a festival where one artist was the whole day. But this is a Mexican artist, he's a singer, writes music, I think it might be a producer too. 'Cause I'm really looking at it like, who? I've never heard of this. - You know what Los Angeles gives. - Oh yeah. - Rolling loud said just him. Like, wow, we had, he can just have a day 'cause anybody out here gonna give a fuck about nothing else. - Wow. - I live. - Oh. - I, it really is just him. - I'm in the DJ, and that's it. - He's a huge artist, like, globally. - I'm so amazed. - Yeah. - This is, but then. - Being a Mexican superstar on top of that, I'm actually really, really interested in how that show's gonna go. 'Cause I feel like the motherfuckers are gonna have a belast and we could use it, we could fucking use it. Los Angeles, I haven't forgotten about them rates. - Oh yeah. Well, no. - And they can flip it everybody or attempting to. - They really shoved everybody else in them first two days. - They said, "Listen, shut up." (laughing) - I mean, ace up Rocky, YG, sexy, red, Larry, June, Boss Man, T-Lo, all of them niggas, absolute everybody. (laughing) DDG, are y'all for real? Does DDG make real music? Like, let's be for real. - Real in the sense that, like, it has a melody, I get, well, okay. Real in the sense that, like, technically, I think you would call them songs. - And. - Okay. - Okay, okay. - Ooh, this says pace Opluma is Mexican Lebanese and Palestinian. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Hassan Emilio Cabanday Leja, my bad, if I mispronounced that, but wow, beautiful name. I've never heard of this person. I'm actually ashamed. (laughing) This is like bad bunny y'all over again. - I mean, he's, yeah. He's just one of those artists that, like, I think the first time I heard of him, and I don't remember where, or what song, I mean, maybe I was just, like, combing through Spotify and Apple Music, like I always do. And I found a song by him that I really liked and looked him up, and I was like, oh, this is getting, like, bad bunny, too. It's like, I'm the lame and loser here. - Yeah. Yeah, that's how I felt when it really clicked. And I think it was, he did a show that was entirely in Spanish. And I can't remember if it was in Puerto Rico or in the US somewhere, but it was something like that where I was like, okay, so this bad bunny must really be something like that. Probably knew your, because back when I used to shut in New York City. - Yeah, yeah. So I'm late to the party, but shut up, baby. Your own day at Rolling Laugh, yeah. You are that girl. They'll be camped out overnight, waiting on you. - This would be in San Bernardino, which I think is, off, where is San Bernardino? It's not here. - You know, I don't know. - I don't know. - Ancient Egyptian relics on display at the Robert and Francis Fullerton Museum of Art. I feel like they should probably be in another cartoon. - Chris Brown is complaining again. He says, I didn't read this because I figured let's just do it here, I'm tired. - Okay, let me look it up, Chuck. Chris Brown, complaining. What from right up? - I'm bad, it's the first. - Chris Brown demands proof after journalists claims. - He is actively abusing women. Is that what you're talking about? - No, that's a different complaint. - Oh, okay. Well, what is it? - It's like a day or so after. - Gotcha, okay. - Okay, so he's on his Instagram stories, I believe. He's using a cursive format that they have here, which is interesting, because can he ride in cursive? Can he ride in cursive? Why? - Honestly, hey. - To learn it. - If you're under 30, can you ride in cursive, please let us know. - Yeah, answer. - 'Cause they, y'all, y'all legit need to know it if only so you can read old ass documents that are exclusively written in cursive. - But then you have to read. - Okay, well, we gotta start with being able to read, period, and then we can graduate to reading cursive, but, yeah, I don't, I legit don't think they even teach it no more. - No, they don't even teach writing. - These kids came hardly right, all they do is type. - That's what I'm saying, like, all they'll have to do with those older documents is just take a picture and ask you at GPT, what does this are? - Okay, all right, you know, you just depressed me, so. - That doesn't go. - I made me sad. So, you know, depressing, Chris Brown says, "I'm not your friend, I'm not your buddy." Also, this is the centered, what do you call it? The lining or the hood? - The alignment? - Yeah, the alignment, thank you. It's centered. - Okay. - Which I found. Okay. I'm not your friend, I'm not your buddy. I don't like the majority of you. I don't want your approval, I don't want your fake love. I hate the music industry. I don't want to participate in the circus. Now, Chris, we were on the same page for the first couple of lines here, because I'm not your friend either. I've never considered you a buddy. And I don't like you either. - Right. - And I also think you should go ahead and step right on out of the music industry. If you hate it so much, it is optional. You do not have to do this. Feel free to go do something else. - Amy. What do you even mean? Okay, but who is he talking to? What do you mean you're not, I'm not your friend, it's just to the world in general? - Yeah, he does it like twice a year. - Okay. - Oh yeah, that's right. I hate everybody. And I don't get the fuck about you. I do what I want. - Okay. - This is the latest of that. And you honestly, you know why I fucking blame? Miss, I'm gonna show up to the concert dressed like Raven Baxter. - Jess! - And give me Snigger. - Raven was told, don't do Raven. - Oh yeah, yeah, you know what? Yes, because everybody is talking about Chris and bringing up all of the things he continues to do and it is, yeah, you right. It's Jasmine and that man, whoever that other legislator was. Yep, I agree. - I don't want to participate in the circus. I am the circus. - All right. He did not say to it. - It's like sometimes God be like, okay, girl, calm. - Just, like don't get to calm down. If it doesn't benefit my children, I don't need it. You will no longer be able to be around me. Fuck being humble. Okay, so maybe he's talking to actual people. - He gotta be, he gotta be. You, he got to be. 'Cause what, the regular regular average person already came be around you. Some pop down on the shader of say, him and Usher, go fall out by the end of this story. - Oh. I wouldn't be surprised. I actually would not be surprised. So. - I don't think I'd be surprised by that either. Fuck being humble. Fuck your agenda. Fuck your narrative. Fuck how you feel. I don't like none of you celebrities. - Hmm. Got it. Who pissed them off? Be on say. - Girl. - Well, man, man, somebody did something. - Well, he don't like Jay-Z. And Jay-Z does not like him. - Well, there we go. - I am, but that couldn't be about this. 'Cause what did they ever mention you were thinking about your ass? - This feels like very much to me. - Especially publicly. Maybe it happened privately and somebody told Chris, like, oh, your name came up and Beyonce was like, look at that dumb ass little back, flipping ass, co-head, nigga. - Why did you think that? - I don't know, I don't know. - Why do you think? I'm trying to think of which celebrities have publicly criticized him over the past couple of weeks. It might not be public. Right, right. I'm only thinking I'm sorry. I'm going to be anyone important. You'll never get off his neck. Zara Larson and Renee Raab, they ate that nigga. And they're not going to stop talking about it. They're not. They're not going to stop talking about hating him, especially when they're not going to shy away from me. Right. But it's not like they're the only two celebrities that do it. There's plenty of celebrities that are just like, oh, no, okay, Chris, don't see it. This gives me it is someone that he fucked with or he said, I don't want to y'all around me. So it gives me the sense that like it's someone who is in some proximity to him or somebody heard his feelings. Yes. Someone heard his feelings. Oh, Chris is giving Drake, seeing LeBron dancing and not like a, I am sad, not you, New York, not you. He couldn't believe it, but yeah, LeBron don't give it to him. He probably did not give him. Oh, just bopping around, I think I got too much money to care about your feelings. So, okay, Chris, well, somebody, I get it. Somebody hurt your feelings. Oh, I am the best hands down. Okay, so I'm going to media. I'm on that type of timing. He's got no caps now. Oh, girl, now I'm thinking this is about Russia. You know what? Actually, yes. I'm the best hands down, I'm the king. Not a single artist on this planet can fuck with me on my worst day. Oh, yeah. They know it. It's hard of being nice, fuck your opinion, I'll be the villain. And here's my issue with this, right? Countless individuals will agree with him openly. And I feel like at some point, y'all got to step up to the plate and take accountability here. Okay. And you will agree with him. Maybe Christopher needs medication if he truly believes that girl baby cakes real bad actually. Because what do you mean? Your music's not that great. It just isn't. You have a die hard, I mean die hard, then bitches will not perish fan base. And a lot of them are locked in because they think you're cute or they've liked you since they were eight or exact. They also beat women or they don't care about women or they don't care about like or they're the type to get defensive over, you know, somebody they like being criticized. Like those are your fans. They don't care how shit your music is Chris. They're going to support you regardless for all those other reasons. I said the exact same thing to one of my friends last week. I'm like, his die hard fans, which keep him afloat in a way that is indescribable. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Those die hard fans are people who find him attractive and have found him attractive since they were like 12 and straight niggas who ain't shit. Yes. Yes. And there are many of them. And they are and there's a lot of people who fit that description. So. Yeah. I mean, and you can dance. I'll give it to you. You're entertaining on that stage, but your music's not good for you to be like not a single artist on this planet can fuck with me, baby, everybody in my Apple music can fuck with you on your worst day and easily beat your ass on your best. So that's, that is going to be a no. But I think you're right. I think this is about usher, something happened. And usher had to kind of put his dick on the table like little nigger. You need to remember who I am. And Chris was like, Oh, it's just the being around me portion. It's the slip. Yeah. I'm the king, no other artist can fuck with me. Yeah. Okay. I think you're right. I do. And because usher usher is also messy and problematic, but usher knows well enough to stay off the goddamn internet with all that. So while Chris is throwing a tantrum usher somewhere stretching and I don't know, lighting his aromatherapy like, okay, I got a show to do though. Anyway, he's in what do you call it, she happy baby, pop. Happy baby. It's called that yoga pose, child's pose. Happy baby pose. Oh, well, I don't know the one where you're left where you're going. I don't yoga. So let me look it up. Happy baby pose. Oh, that's the one where you stretch and put your whole chain out for the world. Yeah. Happy baby pose is lazy at dick her. Yes. Getting her pussy out of the other dog. Yeah. I just said, I don't have time for this. I'm listening to my, my oral beats and I'm creating a mood in this bitch right up. Jenae, are you going to come in here and do her soundboats while I have time for that? You like her in a song with Kendrick? Her song? Oh, I like her album overall. Yeah. I do. I like Jenae. I mean, the very first track was she said I was raised by Wild Niggas. So unfortunately, at times, my upbringing will come out. Yeah. Yeah. I agree. Christopher Brown needs like, um, he needs a cocktail. He needs, and I'm not in the alcohol cocktail. I mean, the cocktail of medicine, medication. He needs eye movement, de-sensitization, and reprocessing, and he needs rehab. Probably. Probably so. Probably. Mm-hmm. You know what? He's looking fuller these days. He's not as gaunt. Well, you know, when you perform, you do kind of have to stay relatively sober with all the movement and stuff he does. I would think, because Chris Brown is like, what, 35 now? He's pretty old. Can I just be drinking like that? Oh. For a second, I forgot alcohol is not the only drug. I forgot what that white girl do for you. Never mind. Never mind. Yeah. Anyways, I read this and I'm like, oh my god, Chris, another tantrum, like, I don't know. It's, you know what, like you fucked up the trajectory of whatever career, whatever your career would have been, and I want you to know and understand tonight that you could have, you could have voiced them up it. You could have been best, like you could have ended up in a completely different track altogether. You were at, you're performing at Disney, everybody loves you. I would still not agree that there isn't a single artist on this planet. Like, that is just not true to it. I do a lot to understand it. It's just so good. You could do black back flips and you have songs in your catalog that are loved. Do you have songs in your catalog that I like? You have not released a body of music in a while that I think has been relevant to any body. I don't think even like outside looking in, I don't, I can't think of an album of yours that across like without bias with like, no, this is some good shit. It's been a very long time. So I think that you, there's like this deflected guilt. Is that a problem? It's like, you feel guilty. You know that you kind of fucked up what you believe your chances would have been. And you deflect a lot and get mad at the industry. And even sometimes your own fans, but not getting the numbers that you feel like you should have gotten. Right. I mean like, why don't you look in the word? You know, at a certain point, we do have to examine ourselves and our behaviors. And the way we treat people and the way we fucking act like this Chris is 37. And it seems like that moment of introspection has still not hit him. But it's like, what else do you have to go through for you to think, hmm, maybe the problem is me. Maybe I should grow up. Maybe I should mature a little bit. When you have, like countless people across the globe who we're going to put a battery in your back and tell you that nobody, like Michael Jackson could need. And you know, saying keep money running down your throat. Why? Why would you? Yeah. Why would you? Right. Oh, Chris, the fuck your opinion, I'll be the villain is how you end to do it. When haven't you been this is, I feel like you, you do announce that twice a year. Fine. And everybody hates me. Fine. I'll be the bad guy. You do that all the time. And you, you also continue to be the bad guy. You can just, you don't even have to say it no more, baby. We know. No, this is not new. See, this is the type of sure I'm talking about. They were, have lit is a comment. They have literally been bashing him since the Rihanna thing, trying to break in. you is that the way he tried to break her face. - Right, like, are you being ironic for you? Are you trying to be funny? - You realize what you said? - They were kids. - It's not just real. - Don't worry about that. - And we've said this for years, it hasn't been just Rihanna since it was Rihanna. - I don't understand why y'all are so stupid. - Yeah, yeah. - Just like the fucking music. Just like the artist, just go to the show, but trying to justify it to the rest of us, like we crazy for pointing out that this nigga is an overgrown toddler in a grown man's body who don't know how to fucking act is insane. Just like him if that's what you wanna do. - This is, yeah, stop lying to me. - I like, stop leaving me alone. - About me good. - Because I, like, people are not, when you speak for myself, I'm never going out of my way to to bash Chris Brown. - I prefer not speaking about him. I prefer not hearing about him, but the buck has to stop somewhere and it's gonna stop at us propping up abusers, especially abusers who have not shown any form of change, rehabilitation, knowledge, growth, or the desire to have any of those things. Yes. When people see folks like Jasmine Baxter, go up on stage and say, let's put this bitch in like, yeah, people are gonna say that's wild because it just worries me that y'all are so blatantly open to steep it, especially like women, black women. What's going on? What's going on? 'Cause damn near, let me know, I don't know the numbers, but many of not most of us know someone who was a victim of domestic abuse. - Yes. Oh, yes, it's actually extremely common, sadly. - So why are we like? - The bitch on a break in since Rihanna. - You were there is the problem, so I got to wait. - And y'all act like Chris did a complete 180 after Rihanna. - This is what I'm saying, girl. - He did not. He's been the same shithead this whole time. So you can lie to yourself all you want to, baby girl, but you do gotta leave me out of it. How you mak 'cause I don't fall for the lies that you tell yourself, just like it. Just like it. Just like it. I'm not even trying to throw a mile top cocktail at your face for enjoying whatever bullshit it is that you enjoy. - So, but leave me alone to stop lying. - Right. Leave me alone to, especially when a dog wants to pop out and be like, well, fuck all y'all bitches in fact, because I am the dog, I will always be the dog, and you can get missing if you don't agree with it. And I don't understand why you bitches always talking to me. I didn't ask for your love or your congressional records. I didn't ask to be the baddest bitch with supple breasts. And so, well, all you bitches, it's like, yeah, okay, well, hmm. And you don't have an anger issue, all right. - Speaking of Rihanna, Jocelyn Hernandez told Shayna Sharpe that Asap Rocky called her Rihanna's evil twin. They're bears. - Unfortunately, that is hilarious. It's really, really fun. - No, 'cause I can see it actually. So did you set it up like, I, if you squint? - So when I first read this list headline, I was like, this is ridiculous. Jocelyn Hernandez, okay, he's trying to be funny. And then I looked and I was like, oh, squint. - Yeah, yeah. Asap, why would you say that, nigga? - She said, you know, I just see how heavy and perry. Well, I was with my herb and she was like, he was like, you're Rihanna's evil twin. - Oh. - I was like, me? Why, why I got to be the evil twin? I was cracking up, 'cause I was like, that why am I the evil twin? - Pack your bed. - But he actually just said that he loved us, a, that she loved me and my herb, and that she would really fuck with us and stuff like that. Like, that's how she sound. - You're gonna help. (laughing) - I'm sorry. - I did, my first thought was, why would she be the evil one? But, girl. I'm also like, you know, people just be talking. So. - Yeah, I think he was just saying something. - Mm-hmm, yeah. - I'm sure that Rihanna does actually like Johnson. - I'm sure. Yeah. - She said, people do say I look like her. I think she's gorgeous. I think we give some of the same vibes. - Mm-hmm. - I was with you. - Yeah. - I want to watch the clip. - She seemed like she was being, so like, she was being a little resisted, a little hesitant when she said that people do say I look like her. - Well, 'cause, you know, you gotta be careful. - I mean, she just agreed, but it was like, she didn't, she's not like, I'm not the one saying that. - Right. - So before y'all try and say anything cute, I do think we give some of the same vibes. - Yeah. - For like, you and girls. But. - Yeah, I'm gonna see you too. - You gotta be careful when you compare yourself to somebody who is like universally considered to be extremely gorgeous. - Hi. - You're doing well. Remember when Hottie said all her friends say she looked like Beyonce? - Remember. Remember one of the biggest pop folks in the-- - One of the pivotal moments of my life. - Beyonce. - Beyonce. - Beyonce. - Beyonce, sweetie. I am so sorry. - I am so sorry. Ugly. - Like this would even say. - Bitch, you look like Lutheran Van Dross. - Anyways, let's move on. - Okay. - So Cheney was on Jason Lee's podcast or show. And Jason asked him how many kids he has. He had three kids. And Cheney was like, I actually have four kids. And Jason was like, why do we know about the two girls when we don't know anything about boys. And Cheney was like, well, you know, my youngest son, Isaiah Russell Bayley, like he's a real successful actor out here, you know, he's doing this thing and Disney and stuff like that. I think he, I don't know what he said about the other son, but-- - Oh, look at that baby. Oh, what is my team? - Well, he's doing like Disney. Think he's in Zootopia or something? - Okay. - Zootopia? - Okay. - Zootopia? - Gotcha. And after this, young Isaiah posted an iOS press release, actually, this is not iOS. That's right. It's all got into pages. I've stayed quiet about my relationship with my father because I've never felt the need to share that aspect of my life publicly. But ever seeing his comments, I feel compelled to speak for myself. One of my biological fathers shared is not an accurate representation of our relationship. When something publicly does not make it true, you cannot rewrite years of absence and neglect or lack of involvement with a few paragraphs about love, support, and being there for your child. I know what my childhood and my relationship with my father actually looked like. I know who was present and who wasn't. I know who supported me and who didn't. And to be clear, the claims about my mother are completely false. She did not manipulate me into disliking my father. A parent doesn't have the turn of child against someone who was already absent. My feelings are my own and they come from my own experiences. My career is not a part of the story either. I worked diligently and tirelessly for what I have. The people who genuinely supported me know the sacrifices I and my mother had to make. As well as the setbacks of work that went into getting here. What bothers me is the blatant attempt to present an image to the public that doesn't match reality while implying that I somehow share that version of our relationship. I do not, I will not expose every private detail of our relationship just to win any argument on the internet, but I also want to allow someone else to speak for me. Tell people how I feel or use my name or my mom's to create a false picture of a non-existent relationship. I know the truth and the people who were actually there know it too. I've said what I do to say and I won't be speaking on this again. So I saw comments from some people because Chingi has a lage to that, you know, his mama's, this boy's mama is manipulative and you know, doing the very, very, very common thing that Debbie Fathers do, which is place blame on the person that raised the child. You know, he spoke out but some people were like, well, girl, all he did was say that she was successful actor out here and, you know, that she was doing your thing like, I don't understand why you dragging and doing all this other stuff like, well, I don't know, I'll be forgetting Chingi is alive. Don't talk about me if you didn't raise me, don't bring me a, shut the fuck up when it come to me actually. I fully get it. First of all, that's a very, I'm surprised at how mature that statement is coming from somebody who's 19 years old, which leads me to believe that Isaiah was better off without Chingi being around, even though he deserved to have a present, active, good father. And it probably hurts all the more because it's not like Chingi has had a career over the past 20 years. I feel like why weren't you raising your damn key? Where the fuck have you been? It's not like you was busy. Where the fuck was you at? - People like me, my, what's your name? I just want to drill. Sydney's star. - Why? - I don't, be well, because people don't have sense. - Okay, Sydney's star is not his mama, not the boy's mama. - Sydney's star is the one who said that she slept with him. - The trans girl? - Yeah, yeah. - What do they have to do with your raising your son? - Exactly. - I'm just saying people will say that. - Because people don't have fence. - Yeah. - But I feel like I really agree with you. When Emma asked you, well, why do we hear about the girls and not about the boys? You should have said, well, hasn't been in the boys' lives. - Well, just be like, oh, well, let me just go ahead and name this one's accomplishment. Yeah, he doing big things or whatever. I would feel exactly the same way. Don't talk about me. Unless you're gonna say, you're gonna answer the question. - Right, yeah. - The question was, why have we not heard about them? - Because I did not raise them. And that was my failure as a father and something I can never take back or fix. - You say that shit like, well, Disney would have told you. (laughing) Like, why are you having you reach out to someone over at Disney or Pixar or any one of these places to tell you about my son? Which one of you talk? They probably don't even have to hang you there. - And I don't even want to hear nothing about all his mama was manipulative and kept him from me and told him all this stuff because, did you ever once file for a joint custody of this boy? Did you ever once ask for vegetation? Did you ever petition the courts one time about this little boy, one time? Did that lady actually get in your way or did you just not ever give a fuck enough to actually try? Because men who want to be involved in their children's lives, who like you and Link, they will move heaven and earth to be in their kids' lives. A court date ain't nothing if it means that I get to see my baby. Like, it's just (laughing) you're trying to be not a priority for you and that's really shitty of you as a parent, but you gotta sit with that. That's the choice you may. Again, while you were doing nothing, I have not, I have not heard a chingy sense (singing) like it's literally been that long. - That was more recent than it went out. (laughing) - Oh, you was gonna say it right there. - 1,000% or whatever that song was with that man who held out his own eye. - Oh, yes. What was his name? Oh, well, yeah, I forgot. - That was probably the inspiration for something that happened to one of the characters in rap shit season two. - Yeah, this, I'm proud of him. Go off Isaiah, little pop off Isaiah. Yeah. - Isaiah said, let me tell you something. Don't talk about me. (laughing) - Like, I'm down to D23 getting coined up because of me and the raising that I got from my mom, that you trying to paint out to be bitter or fans or commenters. Don't talk about me. I'm in a very good place. - It sounds like Isaiah has had therapy. - It sounds like his mama put him in therapy. Probably, you know, at a much younger age for him to be this well-adjusted and to have such a mature response about it. But I also wouldn't be surprised if Chingi is talking about his son now because his son is actually building a career that is probably going to be bigger than his ever was and worth more than he ever was. And so he trying to ease in on the back end like that. Like, wow. Try Flynn Niggas who was not around for their kids, but then once they get famous, and all of a sudden you want to claim 'em, Niggas, you got to go to hell. - I would just, I would be so proud of my son for writing something like that. You could not. Oh. - You can imagine he just, you know, pulls up pages on his tablet. - Mm-hmm. He's like, let me just, - So here's what I'm from a post. - Let me just type this out real quick, mommy. What'd you think? - Before you post it, screenshot that for me. I'm gonna put it over on the, what do you call, you know, them digital fucking friends. - Oh, yes, the digital photo albums, yeah. And it just, it rotates, bitches. (laughing) - It's just a slideshow of that in me and my baby. And it is premieres. - Right. - Yeah. And last night, at least, Clarissa Sheel says she and Papa was gonna have a baby next year. That's it for the hot tops. This week, we're gonna go ahead and take a break and we'll come back with your letters. - Mm-hmm. - We are backslurs. - It's time for your garbage, your mess, and your inquisition. - It is indeed. If you have a question for us, send it to [email protected]. We may read it aloud on the show. Our first letter this week comes from DJ. DJ uses they then pronouns and says, Hello, Chrislyn Kiffiri. My older brother is going through a divorce that started in May of 2025. We never liked his wife, but my brother has only realized how horrible she is after the divorce started. Like any good millennial. - Great timing. - Like any good millennial he has been posting about the divorce and his experience in their toxic relationship on Instagram. - I like any good one. - He has armchair diagnosed her with narcissistic personality disorder and consistently posts about surviving narcissistic abuse. He has never mentioned her name, but because they were married for eight years, everybody knows who he's talking about. (laughing) - Like. (laughing) - Oh. - The problem is they still need to finalize custody and co-parenting for my eight-year-old niece. Because of his Instagram posts, his ex-wife filed a restraining order specifically keeping him from posting about her online. And this has been enforced by a judge for six months. - Work. - Because she is the protected party, she automatically has physical and legal custody of their daughter. She hasn't kept them from seeing her because she would hate being a full-time parent. But my worry is that she'll use his actions online to hold something over his head later. When the six months is up in February, my brother will be able to file to get 50/50 custody back, but he continues to post online about surviving narcissistic abuse and how one time a girl told me she loved me and I believed her. - Okay. - My sister and I have talked with him many times about finding better outlets for his frustration and told him a year ago that our worry is that anything he posts online can be used against him and now look what has happened. He will not listen to us. And we know it's time for really tough love, but he shuts down anytime these topics come up. We're gonna have a family call in a couple weeks to discuss this further, but I don't know where to start. Any advice for talking with a man who's toxic masculine traits have only gotten worse in a divorce? Thanks, DJ. - You know, destroying a toxic masculine individual, especially a cisgender male. What are my favorite things to do? I believe in destroying them for any reason. So, yes, besides getting merged that says, I told you so, I mean, hmm, (laughs) How do you tell this nigga to shut the fuck up? - So, I don't think I would. I've already told you to shut the fuck up. I've already told you to watch what you put online. A judge has told you to stop posting these things online and you keep doing it. At this point, you're gonna have to find out if that meets crazy. Why you wanna listen? Everybody has told you, your sister's told you, your siblings told you, the judge told you. Why are you still, you're going to have to go to therapy. Go to therapy, get a journal, put it in the family group chat, the WhatsApp, like there are so many other outlets as opposed to vaguely posting about this girl online, even though everybody knows exactly who you're talking about, like just choose something else. Now, she does sound like a mess, but you do too, sir. Like y'all sound like this was a toxic marriage made in hell and it's probably for the best that it broke up, but if you won't listen, you're 40 years old nigga. Like, I'm not gonna twist your, what am I supposed to do? Take your phone, I'm supposed to delete Instagram, like you're grown. - Age brought me back. - Yeah. Like any good millennial, no, this is a childish, right? DJ, first of all, DJ, I would like to say that this letter was written delightfully. - It was, thank you, DJ. - It was really written delightfully, so I appreciate that. Yeah, I think I agree with you, bro. You know what, I would just be shady. I would be shady, I would, like, I'd buy a gavel and I would just start just banging. Anytime he's saving things, anytime I see a post, or he'm just saying something that is counterproductive. I would be doing that, I'd be getting shady clothes. I would watch courtroom TV all the time. I would send him or put in like family group chats, like Instagram quotes are links that actively speak to his foolishness. - Yeah. - I would just pass the room about it. If I got involved at all. - I could see that because like, nigga, if you not gonna listen to us trying to give you good sense and I might as well be petty in me. I might as well, 'cause you don't listen no way. I think I would, if I was trying to sincerely help, at this point, the only thing I would say is, do you want to see your daughter on a regular basis? Do you want to? Because let me tell you something. She might not be telling the court right now, but I'm certain she got an alert every time you post on Instagram and that girl has a folder full of screenshots of all the shit you are posting about her online. Why do you need to post about her so bad? Why is it that you have to put these feelings on Instagram and nowhere else? You really got to do it. - That's a pretty thing, I would love to hear it. - Collect the evidence yourself, print some of it out and be like, these are all the pages I know and bitch got. - Right, do you actually want to see this again? - Do you want to? Because when y'all go back to court in February and you're like, oh, your honor, I would like to have my daughter, she's gonna say your honor, he has not honored the terms of this restraining order, not one time. And she's gonna print out all these screenshots of your Instagram and by then you're gonna have them all archived and you're gonna think that matters. - Reho punch the girl. - Niggas. - There are no binders. - Yeah, if you, you've that obsessed with Instagram, you've that obsessed with posting about it online and you're 40 years old, niggas, I cannot help you. - The fuck? - I truly can't. - Log off. - You know, I think, you know, on top of your recommendation, which is I think the biggest and most accessible for you DJ. I, the only other thing I think that could be helpful is to give actual doctor's names, the names of therapists. - Yeah. - And be like, here are some that are local, here are some of the do virtual. I heavily, heavily recommend that you get into it. But that's another thing. A 40 year old nigger who stubborn and act the fool and don't know when to shut the fuck up and log off. Good luck. - Yeah. - You know, good luck. But I would after that I'd be like, I'm actually done because you piss me off now, because like, you have a kid in the middle of this and you're actively working against having them in your life, having custody of them and it's actually getting me upset, so. - Especially because the way you act will almost certainly influence whether I have access to my niece. - Yes. - And if I, all of a sudden, have to fight with this girl to see my niece because of the way your monkey asks his acting online, now we really don't have a fucking problem. - Good point. - So tighten the fuck up, nigger. It can't be that. Put it anywhere else. Why does it have to be on the internet? - Day one. - Get a fake Instagram and post it there. Just stop. Just this is insane. Brother, this is you cannot. - Go, I got the fake Instagram. - Oh, Lord. Some shady shits on his own, his story. - You're right. - You're right. Let's just, right, then you're gonna repost it. That's the same thing as posting it. - Exactly. (laughing) So just let, you need to get off the internet. You can delete Instagram off of your phone 'cause you can't, you don't use it responsibly. - Get the day one app. - Mm, what is that? - The journal app. - Oh. - It's a, it's a. - The, I know, I know this comes with journal now. There's a journaling app now on ILS. So. - Oh, is there? And you can lock it with Face ID. So, oh, I love that journal. Yeah, it's great. - Anything to stop us from writing. (laughing) - I love that app, but like you, you have so many options. You have siblings who wanna support you. You could vent to them about it. You, certainly you have friends in the real world. Like, but listen, I can't make you. This is ultimately it's your child. And you're gonna move however you want to and they're gonna be consequences for that. - Including me treating you like you ain't sure 'cause you're right. - Right, 'cause if you make it hard for me to see my niece, now we really gotta beef. Like, I've really gotta add it to it with you now. You thought you had problems with your ex-wife. But now, (laughing) but now I'm pissed. - How many ops you got? It's too many options. - Are you, you're really in a drink and Kendra kinda move today? - No, I was watching "Not Like Us" reactions yesterday. That song was. - Man, what a night that was. - To know that that was. - Having fun, too. Man. - That was such a moment. So, but yeah. - I'm surprised he's still on Drake, still on two feet. But yeah, agreed. Get a journal bitch. Like, you know what I think some of y'all be like, oh, get a journal and you think like the Moisha music and like a lot. Sometimes, this is why the app called day one. To know you just, it's a sentence. - Yeah. - I hate that raggedy bitch so bad. - Group therapy. - Day two. - Block heart. (laughing) It doesn't always have to be. Just put it somewhere else. And you know what's lovely about, well, I guess you could do that on Instagram, too. But I think it was lovely about that as you can keep it. And then, year to years, five years down the line, you open that bitch back up and see how far you paint. Now, sounds like you ain't gonna be too much different. - Yeah. - But there's always that option. I read one of my older journals yesterday, day before. - Oh, Lord. - And I was like, whoa. - No, I grew up. - Ain't got good. (laughing) - Yeah, I have some of mine from when I was like 18, 19. I'm like this poor girl. (laughing) - Bless her. Wow. (laughing) - You point me into her now. - I don't know how you made it out, girl. How you got over, wow, wow, wow, wow. Yeah. So, but good luck, DJ. I know that's frustrating, but, grown people gonna do what they wanna do at the end of the day. So. - I'm so mad, they said, "No, I'm gonna let you find." - Right. Like any true, no, that is an unhealed ass. (laughing) - Leave me alone. Right, judo, I, I, you know what I mean? People I have dated and broken up with over the course of the past 14 years that have never even seen my Instagram. Like, we don't all go on Instagram to let the people know about our dirty laundry. We don't. Your brother has the option of not doing that and he's not taking it. So. - And I want you to understand, there have been so many times with the both of us, where some, like you would have made a campaign, like there have been so many times, where bitches probably deserve. - Oh. - First of all, I log on and drag my guy. - I want you to, like, if I can stay offline. - Baby. - You guys. - And keep my shit to myself. - No excuse, you have to learn how to do it, you do. Or you just won't have your daughter. So. - And imagine, like, putting those on a scale and being like, mm-hmm. - All right. - Not sure which one. Look at her so well. - They really are, like, okay. Yikes. But yeah, like I said, good luck DJ. Let us know how that family zone goes. Our next letter comes from Solosa who says, Hi, Chris Linky Fury. So to preface this letter, I have brought up before in the past that my husband hardly ever takes photos of me unprompted. I've communicated to him that it would be very sweet of him to ask me to take pictures or even to just take candid photos of me. He said taking photos isn't really something that ever crosses his mind. And I said, that's bullshit. 'Cause you take pictures of every vintage car you ever see on the road. So. - Work. - You just don't have pictures of me on your mind. But now we can get into the real issue. My husband, Chris and I went to Halloween Horror Nights with his brother, his friend, and the friend's girlfriend. While we were in line for one of the events, his friend left to use the restroom. There was a photo op prop in the line. And do you know my husband turned to the friend's girlfriend and asked if she wanted to take a picture in front of it? God, I knew it! I had to ask him to take one of me before the line moved. I tried not to let it get under my skin because the night was still young and we had lots of mazes to go, but it was definitely noted. We made it home around 3 a.m. and I turned to him in bed, held his hand, and asked if he could be more mindful of asking me first if I want to take a picture and then asking if the friend's girlfriend wants a photo. I said I wasn't angry, but that would make me feel more considered in the future if he took that kind of initiative. He then asked if I even want to be with him and called me jealous because his friend and the friend's girlfriend are very affectionate all the time like a damn Disney couple. I said, I said no, I'm not jealous. I only wanted him to think about me first, but him calling me jealous really made me upset so I went to go sleep on the couch. Do y'all think my husband is right? Does he have a point? Am I just being jealous? Thanks for any advice you have. Love y'all big, Salosa. - I'm saying is break up, man. - Ooh. What are you talking about? You want to sleep on a couch? What's happening? (laughs) What? What is happening? So there's so many issues here. One, I forgot about Halloween hard nights. I really want to go. I've never been and I believe they have a center's maze. - No, no, you won't catch me. No, we're not at it. - Anyway, the fact that you told this individual that you wish he would take the initiative to take photos of you and stuff. His excuse, you say it was bullshit. 'Cause he's like, you take pictures. You take pictures of cars all the time. You want to take a picture of your wife? - Right. And I would also call it a bullshit. I have to like, to me, I wouldn't call it a bullshit if you don't really take pictures of anything. - Mm-hmm. - Yeah. - You know what I mean? If it's just not really someone who thinks to take pictures often, unless you are at something like a concert in an amusement park, a fam or union cookout, maybe something like that. But you don't even take candid photos of the person that you're-- - Of your wife. - Not even just with like your married friend. - Right. Same strange. - Never. - Not even they laid out on the bed, whatever. And you just oh, they got it assed. It's like nothing. - 'Teddy Fall, not the tank top. You don't want to take a little snap. No, nothing. Interesting. - As soon as you said you went to Halloween Horror Nights, I knew where this was going. (laughing) I knew where this was going. The fact that he, after you have said this to him. - Mm-hmm. - And then he asked, not a homie. He asked, "The homies, girl bitch." If she wanna take a photo, listen. I would have said, "You know what's lovely "about the Universal Studios? "It's so big. "And I can go to whatever the fuck I want to do." That what exactly do you fucking mean? And then according to the way that you wrote this, it sounds like you had a reason or attempted to have a reasonable conversation with him about that. - It does. It does sound that way. - And you got pushback, jealousy? - So I feel like this nigga is playing in your face and he knows that he's doing it. - Does he like you? - That's what I wanna know. - I've never had to ask a partner to take pictures of me. Now granted, I mostly date women, but I've never, that's never been a thing in my-- - Stop taking pictures of me. - Right, and put the phone down nigga. Enough is enough. And no, you cannot record us. - Right, right. - Oh man. - I don't really take pictures of me. Like the minute that that excuse came out of his mouth, both brows raised. - Mm-hmm, yeah. - But now you're asking to take this bitch picture. I'm right here too. I'm saying right here as well. Not even like y'all want to go take a picture, sick. I hate him. - So I did, I agree with what you're saying, but I also did, when I first read this, I thought, okay, so maybe he asked her if she wanted to take a picture because her man had stepped out of line. So if I don't take a picture of you, you're not gonna get a picture in front of the photo up. What I don't understand is why he wouldn't also include you in that. That's what's strange. It's not the wrong with him asking the girl, do she want to take a picture? 'Cause her man is gone. So like, yeah, I'm gonna take the picture for you, but it's very strange that you have talked to him about this before with the whole picture thing, and yet he took that consideration for somebody else. Notice, oh, her man is gone. Let me do something for her, but then didn't take that own care and consideration to his own damn wife. That's very strange. So I think you are jealous, but I think you're rightfully jealous because your man is not prioritizing you. - Yeah, that's very strange. - And I would add to that, if, okay. If your man stepped out of the line knowing how many photo ops there are in this park for this event, you're not getting a picture. (laughing) But you're just not, he stepped out of the line, knowing his pictures is just happening. You're not getting one. So that's that. If it was the sinner's maze, then maybe I could understand you being like, oh, photo ops, we gotta get these photo. - Yeah, but as Chris will just say it, why wouldn't he ask both of y'all? - Right, why wouldn't you think of your wife, your, the person right next to you, your legal spouse? You didn't think of her. - You should have asked her first. And then, hey, you wanna get an image? Especially since she mentioned to you that you don't. And then rather than being like, you know what, you did say that. (laughing) You have brought this up to me before. My bad, I completely see where you're coming from and why that would hurt your feelings. I just, one thinking, you know, I'm dizzy sometimes. - Right, right. - Whatever the fuck. - Exactly. - You wanna turn it around and try and- - Do you wanna make me- - With me? - Problem? - Do I wanna be with you? That's actually a good question, 'cause why would you react like that to me saying that? Now, I would not be upset if he asked the other girl first, if only because her man did exit the line. And I would actually think, oh, he's being considerate. But if he didn't ask me, I would be like, so you don't see me? Like, I would definitely feel away if I was in your position. - Yeah. - Not that he asked her first, but that he did not consider you. You had to be like, okay, nigga, the line's gonna move. How about take a picture of your wife? That's insane. (laughing) What? - That is- - Yeah. - And then the way he reacted- - Does he like you? - Yeah, that's a really good question. - So I think you're both right. I think he is the way he's treating you is not ideal for a husband and I don't understand it. And I think, he's calling you jealous, like you don't have a reason to be. Why is he treating other women with more consideration than he treats you? - Hmm. It's gonna take stuff like, I don't wanna be the one to follow. Or I don't wanna be the one to say the words. Because why are you being an asshole? - You're not as soon as you said that. - And why are you treating me like you have no interest? - Yes. - And then why are you doing something that I've specifically said makes me feel like disregarded. And then when I bring it up to you, all nice and pretty dead. You like, do you wanna be with me? What? - It's like so strange. I don't know why you would say it. I don't know why you would say that. I don't know why you would react that way. It does sound like, like if Erie said, like he's just trying to slowly piss you off to the point where you like find him a leaf. Instead of being like, I don't wanna stay in this marriage no more, I think it's time for us to break up. Like he's just waiting for you to, like he don't wanna be the quote unquote bad guy. That's what it sounds like. - That's what it sounds like to me. - Yeah. So yeah, I think probably, I don't know if you should. Well, never mind, I'd fuck couples counseling. This, I mean, I mean, it's crazy. - I mean, this man's a dick. - It's right. (laughing) - I was like, it's not even what happened. It's the way you reacted to me bringing it up. Like it was, what happened was bad. - Right. - It was bad enough but. - Right. - Your reaction made it so much worse than, you know what? You asked me, do I wanna be with you? And honestly, I don't know. Maybe we should separate and take some time to figure out if this is where we each wanna be. - You sleeping on the couch is, is a wildlife. - Yeah, I mean, I don't, I think- - They have a hell of a reason, wouldn't they? - Sorry, it's so low, so that, that hurts. That's things, but I don't think this man is really thinking about you like that. - Yeah. - He's not. - It feels like he wants you, he wanna hurt your feelings. And he wants you to be like, well, all right. That's what it sounds like to me, because why would you do that after this stuff? - Right. - All right babe, well. - I'm doing a POV video of the sinner's maize. - Just buy your ticket, okay. Just buy the ticket, go see the shop. (laughing) - I'm gonna be leaving the house. - Well. - I'm really bad at this, I'm sorry. - But it just looks, this is your season. This, this is, which of me? I'm talking about your time. - Oh, this looks, but see. - You'd go do that. (laughing) - You got him over here, recreate all this looks to, okay, yeah, this looks fun. They got them in their dress like the characters. And stuff, they have a Hellraiser maize, which must be fierce, because Hellraiser has mazes in it. We're getting off topic, sorry. - So yeah, good luck, Salosa. Let us know what you decide to do, but yeah, your husband's a mess for that. - Like leave him. (laughing) - Our next letter comes from MC, who says, "Hi, Chris Linky Fury." I'm a 30 year old woman, and I've been dating my current partner for five years. Prior to this relationship, my only other serious one was with my first love, from when I was 19 to 22. My relationship with that person, John, was really formative and emotional. And when we broke up seven years ago, I fully crashed out. He told me he was breaking up with me because he wanted to leave the East Coast and move to a new city, but he never did actually move. which I definitely felt resentful about and probably still do. Probably. John and I are not on speaking terms and I haven't seen him since 2019 but we do still follow each other on Instagram and I sometimes hear updates about him from our mutual friends. Sometimes I talk about that breakup and that relationship in therapy because to me it signifies a moment in my life where I felt abandoned and rejected and these are emotions I fear deeply even now in my 30s. Last week my partner and I went to Italy together. It was an extremely romantic and special vacation and he proposed to me in Pasatano, sorry. He proposed to me in Pasatano by the water. I said yes and I love my ring. When we landed in the States on the way back the first text I got was from a mutual friend sending me screenshots from Instagram showing me that my ex had also gotten engaged over the same weekend. What a cycle. The circumstances of the proposal were entirely different. The coincidental timing of our engagements is digging up all negative feelings. I want to be excited about this new phase of my life and my engagement but I can't stop comparing our proposals wondering if mine was better. I know this is very childish but this ex brings out a very childish side of me. A version of myself closer to who I was when we were together. Do you have any advice on how to process hard feelings from difficult past relationships so I can be fully present in my new much better and healthier relationship. The timing of the two proposals is unfortunate and obviously not anyone's fault or done on purpose but I hate that this painful part of my past now feels connected to this special moment of the present. Thanks so much for reading. I would love to hear your thoughts Emcee. Yeah Emcee it sounds like you need some talking to the lady. Yeah I'm so glad that's where you went because that was my very first thought. It sounds like you need to talk to the lady because you've described like dream proposal if you're into the romance you sure did away and Italy by the water to love the ring. Oh yeah. Nobody could compare anything to in my life besides my left TD to my right. Okay. I'm on cloud 99 after that. What? I get there being a little irked when you find out that you've got engaged the same weekend like that would like put a little pain in me in the side but I all things considered that would go away an hour top not even. Yeah. I think I've got no point for a bit and that would move on like if you're looking forward to getting married and you like you're compared to anything right. You are definitely still hung up on this relationship or this the way this person treated you this was your first love that can be seven years. They broke up seven years ago. They were together for like three. Yeah from when she was 19 to 22. But then the way y'all broke up and you said you probably still feel resentful because he was like oh I'm a move and then didn't move like. Yeah. Break up with me like. That's very that's very weird but I do I agree with you like your your man took you to Italy and proposed by the water and now you obsessed with thinking about whether that proposal was better than the one your ex gave his new fiancee and all of this like I know you said you all have already been you sometimes talk about that in therapy. I would encourage you to bring up this in your very next time got to you you want to work through this before you walk down the aisle baby big time before you start wedding planning. Yes you need to work through this girl because it is a huge huge bummer that your past with this guy is preventing you from truly enjoying this positive moment. You got to get that up a few you do is I think tied to some hurt maybe some trauma from from that breakup which I think is reasonable. Like Chris will say this the circumstances of the breakup makes with the fact that you were 19 right when you started dating yeah that makes a lot of sense but I would love it if you were able to get down to the bottom of that. So you can enjoy the future. I just think that it's gonna require you talking to somebody who's professional and helping you break that stuff down because girl talked to some of the the dolls out here like well my nigga proposed it all of garden. That's a post that we have a ring and didn't get on one. I had all the breakfast. That nigga proposed over unlimited super salad. Talk about when you're here your family. He got me a ring pop and said well Mariah lot did. And you know MC if you were my client back when I was a student therapist the very first thing I would ask you about is why you still follow him on Instagram. Right I didn't even process there. I thought she was a snooping. Let's go ahead and unfollow on Instagram right now right now it's time. You're engaged. I mean so you can't see their stuff. You could probably mute him. I think you can mute on Instagram but I would I would ask you don't follow the person. Whatever you can make it so that you can't see him block the block right you can block him if you want to just simply not see his name no more but if you are hesitant to unfollow or block or mute then we would really have to drill down on why that is because yeah seven years you're engaged he's engaged and the his engagement is causing you distress so let's nip this in the butt and if again if you're like I don't want to unfollow him because okay well now we got to talk that out but you definitely do need to work through this before you go sign a paperwork to be somebody else's legal spouse you do like yeah and what the fuck where did he propose or get engaged be I say how like do we get it she's like now wanting to know all the details and I want to know if mine was better or his was better and all the like the fact that that's even on your mind was better it's been bothering you but like it don't what does it mean for your proposal to be better why would that matter y'all have been broken up twice as long as you were together you just say mine was better if that you don't need any information you don't have to look at anything like mine was better it's not about whether their proposal was better it's about the fact that it's bothering you like this right to let me see I would walk back into my my meeting with the Sabre Sunbeams and I would tell Autumn bitches let me tell you something oh you didn't watch the game because you know what bitches love competencies oh my god that took me a while okay my husband proposed immediately I'm the water the water see my ring yeah I agree with everything because I said why why do you I love this nigga why why does his engagement matter right and your therapist will probably be able to help you to work through those things and then you you know you you said you probably still have some resentful feelings about how it ended you need to work through those two but you don't want to carry that into your marriage you deserve better than that seems like you found somebody really solid you want to start off on a good foot so in addition to couples counseling I recommend you work through this privately and the fears part about therapy is you'll talk with a therapist or you know counselor whomever and you might discuss this thing with this nigga and before the session is over talking about mom and dad oh yeah that's where it goes back to every time yeah it goes back to them caregivers every time and you walk out of their like well knowledge no why was this me yes yesterday I was in therapy and I said something like well I just feel like I should just be happy with what I what I have you know I should just be content with the things I have and she was like whoa where did I come from and I was like I heard it as soon as I said it she was like you're not you're not talking you're not over here crying because you don't have like the new iPhone or a Prada bag or something like girl whos voice is that telling you to be happy even though you are and I was like oh god yeah you know what it is that mama that daddy almost every time almost every fucking time so yeah gone and gone and going and bring this up with your therapist and make this like a priority for you yeah because I want you to be happy you deserve this yeah you really do so good luck girl rooting for you let us know how we go engagement years and I bet you didn't have to ask him to take a picture of you I bet he hired somebody to capture the whole thing from a distance so you didn't even know what's happening y'all guys all kinds of souvenirs and And you know, it's just a beautiful moment. You were on cloud nine and then you found out about your ex and it was like, all that went away. That's a ding, ding, ding, that's about. - That's a week if you can, girl. - Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. - But good luck to you. Let us know how it goes. Let's go ahead and wrap up the letters right there. For this week, again, if you have a question for us, please send us an email, [email protected]. We'll be right back. - All right, slurs. It is time for the read. I just have a couple of things to say. I'll just try and make it quick. Girl, the ceviche got hepatitis. So I just don't know what we're doing at this point in the world. - What is safe to eat? - So, there's been a hepatitis A outbreak. I guess it's linked to certain clams that are commonly used in ceviche, 37 illnesses, 30 hospitalizations. Obviously, the. - Jesus. - What you look all at, the FDA has once again said, well. (laughing) - Like, don't know what to tell you. Should have been. - Not really sure. (laughing) - What are we supposed to do about that food and drug? That's what I'm using. - I mean, we don't, can you just play it? (laughing) - Oh, but it's not funny. - FDA now stands for Fort Night Daily Attitude. So we just don't be here playing games. - You played too much. (laughing) - A hepatitis in the seafood. - More. - So, what more has to happen? - Yeah. - Because I know these dishes eat food too. They just probably don't, you know. They're not getting it from the places that we are, obviously, because what other food has to be tainted before we say, hey, defunding, defunding the FDA, shitting on the CDC. - Oh, RFK, you know, making it difficult for us to eat food? - Yeah. - Expensive food on top of that. The highest the food has ever been, and it's not safe to eat. - Hmm. - Meanwhile, your president is over here berating CNN anchors and journalists and telling them where they came, it can't be. What is his mother behind-- - What is his mother behind? Did you see him with the U.N. with Mom Donny? (laughing) - No, what is it? - He better not have gone to my husband there. - Oh. - I feel like you'd ever bother them. - No, he did. He absolutely did. He got on the mic and started rambling, and you can see Mom Donny dissociating. You can see, first of all, he's not smiling. You know, normally, he got that big ass grin on his face. He's not smiling. He's just sitting there with a completely blank stare on his face. And his, as a comment on TikTok, he just said, "Oh, that man astral projecting "around New York City to fill potholes right now." He not even right here. (laughing) - That's fucking hilarious. - He not even right here right now, because Trump started going on about how the media said they was gone. What's it called when you decide you're not gonna support somebody, not forfeit, not block. They decided they were gonna protest, and yeah, like, stay away, and they're like, of course, y'all not really gonna protest. Of course, y'all still here. And you could just see Mom Donnie being like, "Dear God, make me a bird, so I can fly far." (laughing) Far, far away. - He literally does look like, he was changing into his mind palace. - I don't just be like, whatever gets me for this. - Yeah. - I hate that bitch. - Yeah. - He literally told, "What was this woman's name?" - I don't know. - It's a Caitlyn. - All this lady. - Yes, Caitlyn Collins. - Yeah. - Yeah, he did. - He told this lady, "You're not supposed to be here. "You're not supposed to be here. "We're going out somewhere in this gang." (laughing) - Police bag, you're so old. - Do you think you're an angelic of pickles? - The only thing, okay. So, this is how I know I've been having like a fairly decent mental health week because my optimism said to me, I know that there is an ever-expanding group of horrible people in that White House, in the administration, that are at this point like, "Girl, just do it." Just whatever, just, what are we supposed to do? Just do it, how much longer we got? Just get it over. Just fucking do it. He says, CNN is banned, or these journalists are banned from being around him. Not just at the White House. - And that's what it was. - Banned from being a "round him." - Okay, Chris Brown. (laughing) That's actually an amazing comparison. (laughing) That post on his story gave time. - It kind of gave time with time. - It did. - What the fuck do you mean that this person's not allowed to be here? - Outside? - And press. - And some of them down, he's like, "Well, we're not gonna limit the press." - This time? - We. - We don't believe in that. (laughing) - We believe in the free press. And even if they print things about us that we don't like, we're not gonna limit the press. It's kind of constitutional, bro. - It's spucking insane, bitch. - Meanwhile, if you out here eating a large mouthed you'll get clambiti or something. - It just doesn't. - They're scabies in the artichoke, too. - I'm not gonna eat nothing but frozen fruit and grits. - Shit. - It pressed bitch. - What else is there? (laughing) - What else is there, nigga? Like damn. - It could be like a month ago, my mama Fedex, me mangoes from the tree back in the backyard. - Oh, you're a God's favorite. (laughing) - Nice. - And I might just have to hit my mama back up and be like, "What else you got?" - Right. (laughing) - I know them mangoes. - Right. - She got pineapples and cherries back there, bitch. - Yeah. - Just boxed all up, sent it over to the doll baby. She sent some up to my brother living Colorado. - She's. - Absolutely. That remind me, I mean, mommy bought her tomatoes. She would just pick one and just straight eat it like an apple. - I wish. - Yes. - I still have mommy most tomatoes. Please send me to 'em. 'Cause I don't trust none of this shit. - I'm like gardening is in my blood. Me and my grandma used to garden together all the time. - Oh, I love that. - And she was out there, herbs, veggies. All kinds of stuff out there in the backyard. I loved doing that shit. 'Cause A, I got to play in dirt on purpose. (laughing) - I got that. (laughing) - I put my hands on the dirt and stuff like that. - And not get yelled at. - Not get yelled at. - It was bonding time with my grandma. I got to like see the stuff grow. And then we'd go and like, she'd cook with it. - Yeah. - I also helped her plant flowers in the front yard that were in the shape of Jamaica. - Oh, that's so sweet. And she ate that. - Like I totally, I remember her actually, like using these little sticks or something to make the shape. - Oh, she knew what she was doing. - Period. - She knew what she's gonna look just like Jamaica. - A gardener. - Yeah. I think we're probably gonna have to stick with fruits and veggies right up out of our own ground. - A horticulturist. - She managed to shit. Was that, like, people pay big money. - I thought he was a farmer. - People pay big money for stuff like that. So. My gradity was a farmer. Own beef. Wraffy. Like. - We just didn't have these problems in the country in the '90s. We just didn't, okay. The men went out and shot things. (laughing) - We stood there. - And brought that back home. We finished, we just, we have real food. - And she. - Not that we didn't use grocery stores, of course we did, but like. - Yeah. - This, this was back when the FDA made something. - Yeah. - And now. - It's just like how many more foods have to give people some sort of sickness, blow they stomach. - Right, right. - Get the patitis. - Right. - Very blindness, whatever it felt like. Before someone goes, hey. She's a fun to these departments again, so. - People are dying. People aren't. - But I think that's what they want. - Kim. - People are dying. - Yeah. - They're just trying to, where's it called calling though? - The massive. - Yeah. - Something like that. - They want us to. - They want us all dead. - They're getting it. - Vegetables? Like. I'm telling you, commercially frozen fruits and vegetables is all I've been buying for like the past three weeks 'cause I do not try. the rest of it. I have to go to a farmer's market to get fresh stuff, because I do not trust the stuff that's getting shipped from all over the country. I just don't. And I'm going home, rinsing thoroughly. Oh, all this shit. And thankfully I'm the salad spinner. Well, I used to play with that even when we didn't have salad. I used to just, right, getting there and start cranking that thing. It's fun. I think it's a push button now. It used to be a thing you could turn it. Yeah, it's a push button now, but it still gives you that good turn and feel. That is fine every time. But that's it for me. The food is out here making people sick continuously. It feels like every week, there are some new meals, some there's some new meat, protein, vegetable, grain. You could think of the FDA is like, well, girl, this round of Fortnite is up. So before we start a new match, that's going to kill you. That's going to kill you. And you will get simplest from this or whatever, right? It's insane. And Donald Trump is around here saying, you know, I don't know. Punch buggy, no punch back. I hate that dish. I hate everybody to the lover. I guess I'm talking to you too, Nicki Minaj. That bitch won't stay up for this. She did what? I said, that bitch won't stay off Fox News. Oh, well, I think she has to. Yeah, I do. I actually don't even think it's option for her. Someone asked her, it was like, you know, something about why she supports Donald Trump or what she loves about him. And she was like, he's just so himself. And when he speaks, what? I just feel him. And I hear him. And I just love him so much. And I won't make excuses for that. You didn't tell us anything. You didn't answer the question. He's just himself means nothing. It doesn't mean anything. What's good about himself? He's not you. He's himself. Nicholas. I'm finished. She just saying shit. Well, yes, she is. In the same vein of the Trump administration, I want to talk about a woman named Donna Ganger or Ganger. Sorry, I don't really know how it's pronounced. And if you remember, several months ago, Renegade, that white woman who was killed by ice in Minneapolis, that queer white woman. So Donna is Renegade's mother. And so she was testifying. I see. But you did. Okay. So she was, so she was talking to during this public forum about ice. And what they've been doing. And she mentioned that she is a registered Republican. And she voted for Donald Trump. And she said, I voted for President Trump under the impression that these agents were here to protect the citizens of the United States, in a sense, like our family and the others here against terrorists, certainly not to accuse those of us here of being terrorists and taking precious lives. And then she goes on to talk about how, you know, as a mother, you only want to protect your daughter. And it's just the biggest regret of her life that she wasn't able to protect Renegade. And none of them have moved on. And they're all still so devastated. And she'll never be the same. And we really need to think about what we're doing here. And blah, blah, blah. Why is it that the bullshit has to land on your porch for you to give a fuck, Donna? Why is that? You voted for Donald Trump knowing he was going to do this shit. First of all, how are you even the mother of a queer woman married to another quripper? Like how are you even that person and voting for Donald Trump? Like that's confusing to me. I don't know how you claim to love your daughter and vote for Donald Trump in the same fucking breath. I don't know how to do this. I assume, if you, I assumed that if, if Renegade had Trump supporting parents that they simply didn't talk to her, like I don't even know how you're inside that in your mind. But baby, you were okay with it when you thought it was going to be the brown people who live in your city, in your county, in your state, in this country. When you thought it was going to be other people whose families were torn apart, when you thought it was going to be somebody else's child to be shot and killed in the street, you didn't have no fucking problem with it. You not once, I'm sure in a million years, did you dream that ice would murder your, your precious white daughter? And I don't even want to, it's like, although I'm disgusted by this person, I do also have some empathy because your daughter did die needlessly, like your daughter was killed by ice needlessly. And this is a fucking tragedy. And I should absolutely be held accountable and dismantled and all that. But we're real, I think those of us who never even considered voting for Trump are so goddamn tired of the rest of y'all. Oh my god. Eventually being like, oh, I guess Donald Trump is a terrible person. And these are bad policies, policies that have negative effects for most people, including Americans. Like, yeah, you dumb bitch. And you didn't care. You didn't. The hatred was on display from day one. You don't remember Bill DeWah? The bigotry has been on display since day one. Donald Trump has been a bad person for as long as we've known about Donald Trump. Yeah. Since the Central Park five and before, when, when he was denying housing to black and brown people in Queens, this has been going on for decades. Why? Why? Why? Why? Does it have to personally affect you in order for you to care? What is it about this man that said that makes y'all say, okay, I'm going to turn off my empathy for anybody who is not directly related to me and vote in what I think is my own best interest. I don't understand what that is about y'all. I'm sure it's something that's fundamental to being a white American because so many of you voted for Trump for this exact same reason because y'all all say the same thing. When I voted for Trump, I thought it was going to be those niggers he cleaned up. I thought it was going to be all those brown people that he just rounded up and sent back. And I thought he was going to stop all the transit. You know, they're trans and the kids and they're trans and the mice. I just thought we was going to have a regular heterosexual America again like that. That's what y'all sound like. Yeah. And then it's chewed the back on. Oh, I don't understand. I can't afford to retire. I can't afford groceries. I can't afford to to put my grandson in soccer. I can't do my gay daughter can't do this and that is like you y'all have no empathy for any human experience other than your own and you shot yourself in the foot. In all of ours. How does it feel to know you voted for the man who authorized the execution of your daughter? Great question. Sit with that bitch. I'm sure it hurts. I'm sure it hurts. And there's a part of me in another universe that really has a lot of empathy for you for your loss. There's a bigger part of me right here and now that saying this man has been terrorizing us since 2015. Right. It's been a decade of the Trump threat. And now he acted like it's some kind of way he can stay in office. He acted like there's a chance in hell that he could run again but you don't vote for him again if he finagles his way. Right. Is this going to actually get you to change your politics? Are you going to do something differently? Are you still committed to the racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, whatever it is xenophobia that's keeping you so aligned with this asshole and he's and his ideologies. What is it? Secondly, the ice coffee. What was she doing? She just walked out and started staring at you. Sometimes I get to yell and she'd be like, all right. Right. She was like, God damn you. Yes, you're doing the work. Yes. Now, number two, this ice coffee debate. Ice coffee debate. Have you not heard about this? So a recruiter on TikTok posted a video and she was like, hey, so some of my, I think she mentioned Gen Z specifically but she was like, you know, I'm trying to get y'all ready for these interviews at Fortune 500 companies and one thing that I'm saying is like, some of you are bringing in ice coffee to your interview and it's coming across as like two casual to the interviewers and this may be why you're not getting a job. Now, I have not had an interview at a corporation in many years. So I didn't really care about this. However, the conversation has absolutely blown up from all of these people who are like dead set on bringing their ice coffee to an interview and saying things like, well, why can't I bring my ice coffee? And why does it matter? Everybody else in the building is drinking coffee. And this is this. I'm not even saying that it should matter. I'm saying, Do you want the job if we said, hey, these stuffy rich old Republican white men at these Fortune 500 companies who are doing the interviewing, they don't want your loud ass dripping ice coffee in the interview. They want you to come in on your peace and cues, looking a certain way. Do you want the job? Do you want the job? There is a certain amount of playing the game that goes along with certain careers, not every career. So now everybody didn't get the original context of like interviews at a Fortune 500 company. So now people are like, so I can't take a ice coffee to my interview. Bitch, if you're going to interview a quick trip, yeah, go right the fuck ahead. Like, we're not talking about being the cashier at your local bowling alley. There are standards for certain careers. The first thing I thought of was dress codes. At most employers, dress codes mean nothing as far as like your ability to do the job, right? Right. You know, I can see doctors for safety and health reasons, you know, you wear certain scrubs, PPE, things like that, certain jobs, yes, but like to be an attorney, for example, you can be an excellent attorney in Garfield, pajamas, yet every law firm and every courtroom in the country will have a dress code and an expectation for how attorneys are supposed to look when they come in here. You don't have to be a lawyer if you don't want to wear the pantyhose and the blazer. You don't have to do it. Pick another job, but if you want this job, these are the standards and expectations for this job. I don't understand how it, baby, I don't know how you've missed it. It has been everywhere with people going back and forth and all y'all are y'all are looking for these corporations and then people on the other side, like this is why Gen Z can't get a job. You lazy. Oh, yeah. Shit. See the argument. Because we usually have like a whole classes or parts of a class that are like, let me prepare you for it. Yeah. A job interview should be handled. Yes. Yes. And if you think the ice coffee thing is silly, you want a job, you want the job. This is a recruiter telling you, hey, this is what these people want to see. This is what they want to see. Do you want the job? Some of you legitimately do not have to have the job. You say, look, if I can't bring my ice coffee to the interview, then I don't want to work there. That's fair too. I actually agree. If you're that's, if you're that snooty about a fucking cup of coffee, I probably don't want to work there. However, most of us need money. So most of us need a job. So if they're not saying, oh, palm, you're here. Yeah. They're not saying cut off your locks. They're saying, don't bring your ice coffee to the interview. If that's too much, then yeah, this is not the job for you. I don't know why. Why can't we all just come to that understanding? It's a very interesting debate because on the one hand, both sides, I do. I do, but I could also see, although I think it is kind of silly, I could see, yeah, corporations, especially big snooty white republicans being like, I don't take that drink seriously. It looks ridiculous. This year, it looks too casual, like you supposed to come in here, buttoned up, like you're selling yourself to the company. This is what I was told back 20 years ago, when I was looking for a job, it was you are selling yourself to the company, you are telling the company why they should want to hire you. You are making yourself look good to them. It is very few of us who are aggressively pursued by companies and organizations, but very few of us. And those people can indeed come in and put they dick on the table and ain't nobody going to say nothing because everybody fucking wanted them there. But most of us are not that person. So again, if you don't have to work, if you can stay with your mom or dad or cousin or whoever and you can take your time and all that and it don't matter to you, then please go and do your own thing. But that lady was talking to a very specific group of people and it just, you know, the internet once it starts going, then it's just all over the place. It's a great video covering the whole thing and it's just like y'all, if an iced coffee is the hill you want to die on, that's wild. Go right ahead. And then you say, well, in an interview, I'm actually not bringing anything but my resume. Right. And so then people started talking about all the different things they've seen somebody do. Oh, I didn't interview with somebody and she put me on hold to answer the phone and talk to somebody else or it's all kinds of things that are, you know, that have been going on in these interview places. And it's like on the one hand, I'm so glad that this has not been none of my business for a long time. True. On the other. If somebody told me all you have to do to get this job is not bringing iced coffee, that is the sacrifice that I personally am willing to make. Personally, I'm not going to feel like my, my humanity is being violated because you asked me not to bring an iced coffee to the interview. What is the, I'll get over it. What could the environment possibly be like in here? If I can't bring my iced coffee to you, like, the people in the offices are drinking iced coffee because they already have a job. Here. Missioning. You're auditioning for the play. You're not in it. Well, the executives in the C suite are doing coke because they have the job. You think they were doing coke in the interview? Get the job first, girl. Get the job first. Oh. But, you know, that's a funny debate. Oh, yeah. It really is. I mean, to me, it seemed utterly ridiculous, but not even I don't see what y'all are saying. It is a petty thing. But because it's a petty thing, I'm willing to do it because it's petty. It's inconsequential. It means nothing. I can get my coffee before or after. If I was interviewing somebody and they came in with an iced coffee, as long as you were still on time for the interview, which is at least five minutes early, then I would not care. That actually shows me. I would run a law firm. Right. I don't run a Fortune 500, anything. And one of the things that's cracked me up, Cheska Lee was like, no, Shay, a lot of y'all probably don't even know what a Fortune 500 company is. And I said, gag me because I actually don't. My guess is that it's one of the top grossing, the top 500 grossing companies in the world. But I don't know. That's a guess, bitch. I legit don't know. So maybe. But yeah, context clues are everything. They really, a context means everything. It's even matter. It really does. And it's like this girl, you know, it's just a cruder, a recruiter, making a little tick-tock saying, hey, here's some tips. And Gen Z said, girl, fuck you, I'm wearing my pimple patches. That was another video. This lady said she had to tell her colleague not to wear pimple patches during a presentation. And the girl was like, but I'm breaking out. The pimples would be a distraction. She was like, the purple stars on your face. Yeah. Actually. Or a bigger distraction than your zits. And I don't, you can wear your pimple patch all you want to, but there's a time and place. And at work during a presentation, ain't it? I promise you, if you have a pimple, if you're breaking out, at work during a presentation, where I want this to be over, I will probably not see or be paying any attention to your acne. But if you do have, I'm like, oh, she's breaking out because I'm grown up. It's a normal thing. So many people break out. It's just part of having skin. Yeah. I think skin. It's part of that. We're having these elementary school teacher star stickers all over your face. The best distraction. Now I don't hear anything. Now I don't know what the fuck this presentation was about because you look like a Lisa Frank folder. And then the European's chimed in. They were like, actually Americans are too casual all around. Look casual as fuck. We would never operate the way y'all do. Things are already too lax over there. Y'all need to tighten up. It's like, okay, not slow down beans on toast. Not too much for y'all. But you know, I don't, I think it's, I honestly think it's COVID when everything went online. I think Gen Z said, okay, so nothing matters. Yeah. But for sure, for sure, big boss man was in his piggies. Until 2020 was an anomaly, baby, we'll never get that back. That was a crazy time. That was a wild, wild existence. And I know you had to graduate from high school on Zoom and I'm so, so sorry for you, but you simply, I'm sorry, baby. This is just, are you willing to do it? You don't have to. You don't have to. There's plenty of jobs where they don't care if you bring a beverage to the interview. But there are some companies where they absolutely will. And if you want that job, you will assimilate to what that company is asking for. It's just that simple. When I was like, maybe 17, 18, Ms. Info told me that regardless of what job I was doing, you get you should act like you're getting paid a million dollars to be there. Oh, wow. I would have a hard time doing it. I think that like what she was saying is like you got to go in there like you guys were lucky to have me like even when you're working there. I'm selling my time to you. True. That's exactly what you're doing. And when I was younger and in school and stuff, one of the main things they told us about interviews was like these people who are going to be looking for how serious you taking yourself and this interview so that they know who is serious enough for the job. That's why even if I was going down to apply orange Julius, I made sure that I wore something nice. Yeah. Right. So if we talk about a Fortune 500 company and a recruiter said it. Right. I recruited. This is somebody whose job it is to get you placed because when you get a job, she makes money. So like she she legit wants you to get hired. She wants to help. She has every reason for you to want you to get hired. Coffee freaks a wild. And you know, I enjoy an iced coffee. It's fun. It's tasty, but it's not a necessity. I can wait till the interviews over and use it as a reward or I can have one beforehand to put myself up. Although then I might you know get the run. So I might not do that. But you know, it's just please don't be late for work. Right. Now that's another thing. If you stroll in 15 minutes late to an interview with your fucking Duncan, I'm kicking your ass right back out. Like bitch, people who are late somewhere and then they come in with snacks and drinks. Also, you had the time to do that ship and not to be. I'm one of them ones though. Like punctuality is number one for me. You need to be where the fuck you supposed to be on time. The fuck you stroll in here. Like like you own this place. Like you don't want hiring girl. It does not work like the heck. Sorry. And just because of workplace will let you bring an iced coffee to the interview. For example, doesn't mean that that's going to be a fun or safe or healthy place to work. You know, I'm sure I'm sure you could take an iced coffee to a call center job. Is that going to be the most toxic job you ever had? Probably. So I'll say from from experience that everything you just said. Baby. The cost enters be the messiest. Wildest, most disrespectful, stressful. The the QAs will stress you out. Your team will stress you out. Your co-workers, the customers are the main ones who will stress you out. But you can have your iced coffee. Thing about it was Hannah. It was. But I loved it. Was it was kind of fun when it was fun. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. When it's fun, it's the best. But when it's I was I was Asian our block. So sometimes we have niggas called me trying to figure out where they're they're a taxor refund. Yeah. Yeah. They were trying to figure out where their tax refund was. And I go look up the code and realize that the IRS kept it or they because they owed child support. Yeah. Whenever they had kind of that child support in the government was like, well, that's ours. Here you go. It was so bitch. I had the biggest smile every time I got to tell him to get it. Oh, yeah. Because the conversation is over now. There isn't anything I can do. I can maybe tell you here go the number you can tell them then they won't do anything. But I got nothing else for you. Yeah. I used to love when customers were blatantly wrong. I'm like, I'll sit here and explain it to you all day, baby. This is very simple. Right. I can't rush you off the phone. I have to sit on here until you're done. Right. But you got to bring your iced coffee to the interview and that's what matters. I could award Brazil and song in that interview and I probably have the job. Just because it's casual does not mean you're going to want to work there, baby. You still can't be late because you had to go get a nice coffee. What do y'all think this is? So, you know, just some things to consider. I'm not even saying that things should be that way. But do you want the job? Okay. Did you say something similar to was it DJ and a letter? Oh yeah. Like, do you want? Do you want to see your daughter? Right. It feels very similar. It's just not get on line of anger. It really does. It's like you could just any other time of day you could have this iced coffee. Like just yeah. Okay. But okay. Y'all got it. Y'all got it. Best of luck. I think a lot of people, I mean, and I think a lot of people are feeling sensitive about it because unemployment is so high, the economy is terrible. People are trying to get interviews. They're trying to get jobs. And so it's like I think maybe people are more on edge because of that because it's like not y'all using something stupid to filter out, you know, good candidates. But for every, you know, something stupid like that. There's going to be some other bitch who's on her piece and Hughes, who shined her shoes and came with a resume printed out on card stock and didn't bring an iced coffee and put her phone on airplane mode before the interview style. There's going to be somebody who's on top of it, girl, and who you think's going to win. There's, you're so right. You go walking to one of these interviews being just as qualified. Maybe a smidge more. But that bitch came in and impressed and didn't bring a sweating cup of ice coffee. And so they said, oh, you got the job. Yeah. Yeah. So just good luck to everybody. You know, I found this conversation to be mostly delightful. Because the, the children were demanding their right to ice coffee. And I'm like, you actually do have that right. And they have the right to not hire you. So what do you want to do? Right. You just start some justice for ice coffee non-profit. Come on, babe. How about you don't bring the ice coffee to the interview and you get the job and you work your way up to when you're the VP and then you change the rules and and everybody can bring ice coffee to the whatever. This is so it is so right. I'm like, imagine what the rest of the company is going to right when they hear the like, are you okay? Like who cares? It's giving ballroom. Yeah. It's giving you one to ballroom. So all right. So that is go, oh, and you know, Chris to the New York Liberty tonight is the last regular season game. And you know, we're in the playoffs, but I don't feel good about it. And I, Chris to Marco, y'all have got to get this man out of our place. Get this man off my team. Get this man away from Stewie. Get this man out of CFO. Okay. Because it's just, I cannot do another season of this. And we have a winning record. But our record is inexplicable when you look at the talent we have on that fucking roster. What is Chris doing with these girls? But I'll address that more in depth once, once the playoffs are over.
