A Glitch in the Matrix || Ghosteas Tea Party #116

The podcast episode centers on listener-submitted "glitch in the matrix" stories, exploring strange phenomena that challenge reality. The hosts, Macy and Natalie, share and react to each tale with a mix of fear, curiosity, and humor. Stories range from a house appearing lively and then empty, a disappearing Barbie, and a time glitch where friends arrive ahead of others with mismatched call logs, to a bathroom hallway that vanishes, leaving only a bookcase. Another account describes seeing past eras in Taiwan and South Africa, while a mother connects a wrong-number call from years ago to her son's recent experience, suggesting a possible temporal link. A nail technician loses all size 10 tips from a new box, and a driver's car dent disappears overnight. A lighter story involves a sandwich falling and reappearing under a friend's hat. The episode concludes with a deeply unsettling story from Tim, who, after a childhood head injury, finds his best friend never existed and his deceased sister is alive, leading him to believe he jumped dimensions. The hosts express empathy for Tim, suggesting he seek professional support, while also acknowledging the possibility of reality shifts. They invite listeners to share theories, emphasizing the existential dread these stories evoke and their own uncertainty about the nature of reality.

Hi Ghosties, I'm Macy and I'm Natalie and like I said on Monday we are continuing on with Natalie's existential dread. Whoo! Yes, I can't wait. So I know I've been excited about it but I have gathered several glitch in the matrix strange time slip odd odd stories from you guys. I'm actually okay I'm excited rewatching episode back doing the edit it was still freaking me out but I kind of wanted more yeah me too me too it was it was like a good scary but also existential like you said yeah it's like a different type of scary than we usually do yeah for sure personally not as scary to me but I don't know how it depends but our tea today is a classic here at Ghosties it's Arnie and Sun's cherry blossom it's my favorite all right let's go our first story today comes from an anonymous viewer hi guys you did an episode of glitch in the matrix and it just reminded me of what my husband experienced a while ago my husband's co-worker moved into a new house and he invited my husband and some of their other co-workers over to hang out they were barbecue in the backyard and my husband looked through the wooded fence and saw a house and asked the co-worker about his neighbor behind him his co-worker said there's no one living there and it's been empty ever since they move there my husband looked through the fence again and saw green grass a water fountain and two men carrying stuff into the house everything looks beautiful and lively my husband asked his co-worker again is he sure no one lives there and his co-worker said yes my husband didn't tell anyone what he saw and just ignored it a couple of weeks later my husband went back to his co-workers house he went back to see the house behind his co-workers house again and he said the house has dead yellow grass and is totally empty my husband asked his co-worker about the house again and his co-worker said it has been like that since they moved in in the next couple of weeks that house was demolished so my husband doesn't know what he saw that day thank you for reading oh my gosh okay I had two thoughts one time slip obvious like okay maybe it's like what it used to be like a window into the past yeah yeah or it's just like a fairy tale land like it's like in a book you know yeah you like picture this one yeah yeah that's really that's actually really cool but would make me feel like I was losing my mind yes I like I would I would never talk to the co-worker again because I'd be like you liar like a thing and he was just like yeah no one lives there and clearly there are people walking in there right now freak me out that's nuts wild very wild but our next story comes from Peyton hi ghosties my name is Peyton I discovered the pot a week or so ago and have been binging while working on puzzles and cleaning I have a short glitch in the matrix story from when I was freshly eight years old at the time I went to the summer camp at said summer camp when you turn eight you can become a c-i-t crazy young right well that's 2017 for you and you get paid albeit not much we got paid every two weeks and as an eight-year-old seventeen to eighteen dollars is a lot my family went on vacation a week or so later we went to ocean city Maryland where my great-grandmother owns a condo we go to every summer there's a boardwalk that we always go to at least once every visit mind you I had about eighteen dollars to spend from being a c-i-t at this camp we walked up and down the board walk it's about three miles I think until we stopped in a kite shop it had toys too and as an eight-year-old girl I was immediately drawn to the Barbie collection I had practically sprinted to the Barbies and had to decide between two of them hell I don't even remember what the other one was I think she was a fairy in the end I chose the mermaid Barbie by the way this is the mermaid Barbie that had a color changing plastic tail a few colored streaks in her hair and the tail was able to move back and forth considered quite a high-tech catch at the time priceless on the playground I used my entire paycheck to pay for it and I was obsessed I played with her every day for months giving her weekly baths to see her tail and maybe hair I don't fully remember change color under the hot water until one day my parents were driving my sister and I home from school in our jeep that they have since sold I had my mermaid Barbie as I did practically every day and I was playing with her in the back seat until someone cut my dad off and he had to slam on the brakes being jerked forward and saved by my seatbelt I dropped my Barbie and watched her roll under the passenger seat my mom was sitting in when we had finally gotten home I got out of the car and crouched down to grab my Barbie but I couldn't find it I reached my entire hand underneath the seat nothing my mom pulled the seat all the way forward and nothing was under it haven't seen my Barbie since she just disappeared under a car seat into thin air this was a tragedy to eight-year-old me I cried for hours whether you use this for the pod or just a quick read either it's cool though even years later I still ponder how this could have transpired thank you for reading best wishes good night good luck and have fun oh that was a cute ending I was gonna say if it was just her eight-year-old self that went looking for it and everything I could be like okay well you probably just missed it or put it in yeah but the mom was helping where did it go okay I have two thoughts for the story one in 2017 I was graduating college so you being eight-year-olds old is wild to me yes to my first thought was you remember the movie where the heart is with Natalie Portman yes and they had a hole in their front floor board and she lost her shoes my first thought is did they somehow have a hole at the bottom of their deal they didn't know they would they don't it was a hole that's crazy that's the first thing came to my mind yeah sorry that's hilarious huh very wild and I've read several stories and maybe it might be between reddit and our listeners of people just losing things I hate that because it makes me feel like I don't know like it's a it's a rage that I can't describe yeah if you drop something and you know like oh I just dropped it right here it should be in this general area and it's not and you tear the room apart you tear the car apart everything and it's gone I have to write it off as like a glitch in the matrix because if it's there and it's just like taunting me yeah I can't go on that man from Halloween town hasn't now eggs that's what I always think yeah when I can't find something I'm like well it's in it's in his house now whatever his name is I don't remember but yeah yeah has it now also okay this is totally well not totally unrelated but like dumb so sorry but I drop my contacts a lot and they're like practice practically see through well not a lot but more than I probably should uh and like before I'm putting them in my eye and one time I dropped it and I couldn't find it anywhere and I was mad I was like how it there's no way it can just disappear I found it like 20 minutes later my shirt that's hilarious oh anyway sorry I'm in a weird mood I'm in a weird state of mind today was a weird day it was a really really weird day very weird day but moving on to our next story unsigned so anonymous number two hi girls I have a weird glitch in the matrix slash paranormal story for you guys so about two years ago I was hanging out at my friend's house with my roommate and two other girlfriends or simplicity we'll call them friend one and friend two later in the night my roommate and friend one left to go to another friend's house for a sleepover me and friend two stayed behind because we both wanted to go to sleep early that night my roommate and friend one were going to stop by her mom's house which was five minutes down the road from me and then head over to the other house which was about 20 to 25 minutes away in total the trip should have taken about 30 to 40 minutes well it's about 10 minutes after they left and friend two and I were sitting on my bed just chatting and we brought up how we had to go grab something out of my roommate's room when we heard a voice identical to my roommates call out friend one's name from my roommate's room we both heard it and our stomachs dropped because no one else was home we immediately ran out of the room and took my dog out of the crate because we were so spooked my dog didn't have a reaction or anything but we were freaked out I let him outside to go potty and then brought him back inside and agreed to just go to our other friend's house because we didn't want to be in that house any longer this is when it starts getting weird by this time my roommate and friend one would have been at least 15 minutes ahead of us we get in the car and friend two calls my roommate to let her know we were coming over as well but when she answers the phone it just didn't sound anything like her it genuinely sounded like something trying to sound like her like it was her voice but something was just off I tell her to hang up and about 15 minutes later they call us again and she sounded normal and we tell them we're about to get on to the exit where our friend's house was both girls on the phone go silent and just ask us how we were so ahead of them I checked their locations and they were about 10 minutes behind us all of us were so freaked out by this because we had taken the exact same route and left after them not to mention if we were to pass them we would have seen their car when my roommate and friend one stopped at her mom's house they just ran inside and grabbed something then hop back into the car and continue driving so there was really no delay there the weirdest part is whenever we all met up again and we were talking about it my roommate said she called us back immediately after we hung up but we didn't get a call until 15 minutes later we checked their call logs and it said they had called immediately after the first call but on my phone the timestamps were different all of us had service and they had only called us one time all of us had such a negative feeling about this we were genuinely in tears because there was no logical way they could have been so far behind us or what happened between those 15 minutes we refer to this whole event as the time glitch and to this day we try not to bring it up to each other because it really freaks us out thank you for reading and I love the pod and you both I could play this one off as maybe they accidentally spent too much like more time than they realized at mom's house. - But then they're losing time. - But the call logs. - Yeah. - That's breakey. - And that was something that we talked about in a recent episode, I think. Oh yeah, because that person said they took their break at 12 o'clock and then called their friend. And then they got back to their desk. It was 11.45 again. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - And I was like, "Oh, check the call logs." So I guess this answers that question of like, well, will the call logs match up? No, not all the time, I guess. - Not necessarily. - Oh, that's so weird. - I would've cried too. - Yes. - I'm gonna be honest. That would have freaked me out a lot. - That is so strange. I genuinely don't know what to make of that. - Do you like the call log thing? That's the only thing I was like, well, that's, I don't have an explanation. Like you think, you know, like when you talk to witnesses of an event or something, times are off. - Yeah. - Events are skewed and, you know, recalls Carter in the house for five minutes. No, really, it was like 15 and that's how they got ahead, but yeah. - But to have it, like technical data right in front of you is weird to me. - It's very unsettling. - I agree. - Do you think time slips something dimensional or aliens? - I have no, I was not even thinking aliens. - Really? - I was thinking aliens. - I'll tell you later. - I'll tell you later in the month. - Oh, okay. Well, are we talking about aliens eventually? - Eventually, yeah. - Okay, well then put a pin in that one 'cause now I'm intrigued. - Okay. - Okay, well, if anybody has a theory, I'd love to hear it because we're just two girls who say, I don't know a lot. - Yes. - Our next story comes from Tiffany, and this is actually their second story, so we'll go back to Tiffany at a later date, but this was their glitch in the Matrix encounter. This story happened to me when I was 27 years old. I was getting my master's degree at a local college, so I was working during the day and going to school at night. Well, one night I decided to go to the library to print a paper for class I had the next day. I was relatively new to the campus, so I hadn't been in the library yet. Luckily, when I walked in, the computer lab was immediately off to the left towards the back corner of the library. So when I logged in and started to print my paper, I noticed that the printer said I was 12th in the printer queue. I figured I had some time to go to the bathroom, and by the time I got back my paper, most likely it will be at the printer. As I'm sitting in the library, it was nighttime. So the place was dimly lit due to the fact that mostly adult students were in the library, at this time of night. So I'm scanning for a bathroom near the computer lab, and I see a dark hallway, I know, I know. But in my defense, a lot of the buildings on campus had dark hallways where bathrooms were at the end. This place is very old for America's standards, because the campus was founded in 1858, and became a school in 1875. So a lot of old brick buildings with dark hallways. Anyway, I looked down the hallway, and at the end it was a bluish light shining out of the bottom of a door. So I figured it was either a study room or a bathroom. When I got there, I was met with a giant wooden door with a woman's restroom sign on it. As I pushed the first wooden door, I was met with a second wooden door, which I noticed had a sliding lock on the outside, and I thought that was weird, because why would you have a lock on the outside of a bathroom? Since I was already in front of the door, I figured I'd just be quick, do my business, and get out of there. No. What I'm going to describe happened within the span of maybe one to two minutes, but it feels like it's important to give context. I noticed as I walked into the bathroom, the walls were concrete and the floor was this old pale blue and turquoise tile. There was no light switch on the wall, and it was really cold and dark. The only source of light was six feet away at the sink. There were two vertical fluorescent two-blight light bulbs on either side of a mirror where the sink was. I know this is specific, but I'm just letting you know just how odd and old everything looked. The bathroom layout was a square. In the bottom right corner was the door I came in from, and the top right corner was the toilet, and in the top left corner was the creepy sink, and in the bottom left corner was pure darkness. That corner was so dark that it felt like I was being stared at by something I couldn't see. Much like when you turn off the light in your basement and run up the stairs because it just feels like something is right behind you. So needless to say, I finished going to the bathroom and I walk over to the sink, refusing to look into that mirror. But as I'm washing my hands, I hear what sounds like voices coming from where I can best describe as out in the dark hallway. Oh no. I must admit, I was actually relieved because it sounded like college girls my age having a normal conversation, walking down the hallway, coming to use the bathroom. So I hurried up and washed my hands. And as I'm walking towards the door, the voices got louder. So I figured when I opened the door, I'd be met with a group of college girls on the other side. I opened the first door and the voices sounded like they were right on the other side of the second door. But as I opened the second door, no one was there, and the voices immediately stopped. That freaked me out so bad that I bolted down the hallway, grabbed my backpack and left the library without grabbing my paper. The story doesn't stop there though. The next day, I still had to print off that paper, so I went to the library again, but it was daytime. So I walked into the library, walked over to the same computer I was at the night before and printed my paper. Here's the glitch in the matrix part, where I had once seen the dark hallway in its place was a bookcase. And behind the bookcase was a solid wall. And right next to the bookcase was a perfectly normal entrance to the girls' bathroom. You literally can't miss it. I was not believing what I saw, so I decided to walk up to the bookcase, which I'm 5'4", and this bookcase was probably more than six feet tall. And I decided to see if I could move the bookcase to see if there was anything behind it. There wasn't. I continued going to the library to print papers for my last two years, and I never found that dark hallway again. Okay. - What do you think? - What do you think? What do you think? - I need to know. - Boogie. I, I mean, I don't know. I don't know, but I do like the thought of walking into the library and seeing a young woman trying to move a bookshelf at. - Yeah. - That's funny. - No, but do you think that maybe there is something back there, or is it truly like, they stumbled upon something? - I think my, okay, where my brain goes, and maybe this is just like creative book and movie, Macy Burnett. - Yeah. - But what if there was a hallway before? And, I mean, it's a very old 1800s construction happened. They built a new bathroom and got rid of that hallway. And they just, time slip. They just saw the old hallway. - I mean, I guess that makes sense, like with the voices of young college girls and stuff. So it's like, oh, this used to be a place where you would hear that. I guess that doesn't make sense. - That's why it feels glitch in the matrix C to me, you know? - Yeah, yeah, yeah, I could see that. - I agree. - Either way, very eerie. And I don't know that I'd want to be in that library alone at night again. - No, I'd feel the way too paranoid. Like, what if you get lost? - Exactly, exactly, which I want the last one. It's like, what if these glitch and matrix things are real and people are actually going missing? - That is seriously. I think that is the scariest part of these stories is, not so much it happening, but the what if of it all. Like, what if you didn't come back? - Exactly. - What if you, you never found that time. You know? - Yeah, yeah, yeah, I, ooh, I agree. - But hold me up, move on to our next spooky tale. It's from Sky. Hey, ghosties, my name is Sky. I'm a long time listener, first time emailer. My story is one I've only really told my husband, and while he believes me, he sees it more as an amusing story. It's not exactly scary, just strange. I'm currently living in Taiwan, but this took place in my hometown in Cape Town, South Africa. My then boyfriend, now husband, and I went fishing one day by a small fishing harbor near a place called Gordon's Bay. We were there all morning and nothing of note happened, just the usual fishing boats and some other people walking about. It's not as popular as the other places, so it's really quiet. Well, as we were fishing, suddenly the light changed. It went from the usual clear blue of a sunny noon to a hazy bright orange of the time just before sunset. From a distance, I heard jazz music, and as it got louder, I turned to look. It was as if I looked straight through my husband, and I saw people. They were wearing old clothes in the 1930s style of outdoor workers with flat caps and suspenders. Some were working on an old-fashioned saw. The one that's mounted on two V-shaped legs and requires two people to saw it. The entire energy of the harbor shifted, and I heard people calling out to each other. Then suddenly the light faded, and everything was back to normal. I could still hear the exact tune that played and see everything clearly when I remember it. My husband didn't notice anything, and it was as if no time had passed, but it felt like I was there for about three minutes. The second time was a lot shorter, and it happened here in Taiwan. I was driving my motorbike, and I stopped at a red light in the older part of town. As I was looking around, it happened again. But this time, the air changed to a greenish blue and hazy hue, like the type you'd see in an old photos from the '70s or '80s. And that's exactly what everything changed to. I saw the old cars, people drove in the '70s, and a man riding a bicycle with a short afro style, and a long mustache. The building in front of me was brand new in that '80s modern blue glass style. It only lasted for about 30 seconds, and it changed back. The building looked more faded and worn, and all the old cars disappeared, as did the man on the bike. The first story happened in 2017, the second in 2021, or so. It happened again, fully, but there are moments when I feel it, like I feel the energy changing and shifting. I have a few slightly more scary stories if you would like to hear it. I appreciate all your videos. I'm a home baker, and I love to listen to you guys as they bake cakes or do big orders. With love from across the world, it's guy. Love, I am, you know, I'm not envious of a lot of things, 'cause you know, that's not a cute feeling, but people that bake. And then it becomes like a job, and just like, you know, I want it. do that. But I am not a baker. Same. I feel. I can make like a couple things. And that's it. I could not make a full cake. I'm a better baker than I am anything else. And that I'm telling you a lot. I didn't mean to laugh like that. That's very mean. I can make bread and muffins. Yeah. Your bread's working out. I'm I'm pretty good at bread and muffins. Yes. That's good. That's good. Sorry. But this is not about bread and muffins. But it is not the first one when they said they looked through their husband and let that whole scenario when they said like the mood shifted and they all started calling out to each other. Were they witnessing like a bad like a catastrophic like event or something or like a precursor? Or maybe not catastrophic, but you know, like was there something bad going on? Like they were looking into like a bad time. I thought that they were looking into the past. So it's not like to me like it was just harbor workers like maybe dog workers or something. I thought it was the past, but it sounded. I don't know why I got the vibe of like they were looking into a scenario where something bad happened in the past. Because it was like everyone was like, I hope, I hope like they're just like sawing and maybe something bad was going to happen. Yeah. I don't know. Oh, like it was a significant event. That's interesting because it kind of ties into what my brain went to mediumship and you know sensing things like that. I know sometimes people will get a feeling or like something in the back of their mind or they'll hear things. What if sky gets it like can see it and hear it and like feel like it immerses into it? If there's a if that is a thing, if there are there mediums, psychics, etc. Out there who do since things in that way. And it's like it pauses time in that moment. Yeah. I mean, I've heard a lot of different ways that mediums and things like that. You know, they say that they experience it. So that is an interesting thing. Like a full on that so raven. Yeah. Like into the past. But that's what I thought of. If they're I would like to know if sky has any other and I don't know feelings or sensations or has witnessed or anything else like that. Yeah. And because having two different experiences in two completely different places, it is interesting because like maybe they do have a gift of sorts. I didn't think about that. But that seems reasonable to me. Okay. Let us know sky. But we have our third anonymous poster of the day or listener of the day. Why do the glitch in the matrix? People not want to be identified. Some of them just didn't sign their email. And I don't want to out them. Like plus some people use like their partner or their parents email. Like I don't want to say, Hey, this is Jeff and it's actually Sarah. That's true. That's true. But so if you don't sign your email, I just say anonymous. Okay. It just seems eerie. Hello, love the pod. I'm a 42 year old female, about 22 23 ish years ago. I received a very odd phone call that always struck me as weird. It was a landline phone that we had at the time. And when I answered the caller was a young man. It seemed and said something along the lines of, Hey, mom, can I have a few bucks for gas? There was no one in my immediate family that it could have been. So I chalked it up to someone getting the phone number wrong. I let the young man know he must have the wrong phone number and he paused chuckled and said, Again, this is a rough account as it was so many years ago. I'm serious mom. I was hoping I can have a few bucks and I'll even pay you back. Again, I said they must have the wrong number. And he says, Who is this? This is my mom's phone number. I talked to her every day and her phone number has always been the same. Again, thinking this was very odd. I let him know he has the wrong phone number and I hung up. Fast forward to about a year ago. I was at home cleaning and my 17 year old son calls me and says, Mom, is this you? I found the question odd. So I laugh and say, Yeah, who else could it be? And he explains to me that he just called me a few minutes ago and that a girl picked up saying that she didn't know who I was and then he must have the wrong phone number. But all he did was click on my contact to call me. I shrug it off and he goes on to ask me for gas money and the rest of the day goes on normally. It wasn't until he got home and he shows me that he called me twice. The first time he was on the phone for about five minutes and the second he was on the phone for 10. I checked my phone and it only showed the one phone call and that it was 10 minutes later that night. I'm sitting and thinking about what could have happened when I remember the phone call I answered so many years ago. You guys are the first people I have told because I know how crazy this will sound to anyone else. Since that day, a year ago, I've been obsessively looking up glitch in the matrix stories from others, just trying to navigate the sea of confusion. If this was me, hey, all you people, I'm running around. I'm swinging on lampposts. I'm telling the town. Here you hear, like, I'm telling everyone, this is crazy. That's crazy. That's actually really cool. Really cool. Very sweet. Very sweet. To have that phone call with your son. I mean, they had to have been close-ish to the same age. Yeah. Oh, that's really cute. Why does that make me want to cry? I don't know because I just looked at you and I was thinking about your son. Is it? No. Because I don't want them to get big. I know. But that's amazing. That is so cool. Did you tell your son? Did you tell? They haven't told anybody. Your siblings. No one. Oh my gosh. I would be telling everyone. I mean, I understand if you're not in a paranormal safe environment, people aren't going to believe you because I feel that way in regular life. I don't want to just walk up to a rando and say, I saw a ghost once. No. I am anonymous again. All of you people watching this, if you're new, hi. Nobody knows about the pod. I don't lead with that. There are a lot of people in my life that don't even know about the pod. The same. Because it feels weird to walk on me like, so I talk about ghosts on the internet. It's weird. So I get why someone would have reservations about telling stories. But it's an experience you had. It's just super unexplainable. It's wild. I would be telling people being like, do you have an explanation? Because that's just so cool to me. Tell me what happened. What's in the box? I just love that one. That's a cool one. Yeah. A wild, a wild story. And super cool. I'm glad you experienced that. And I hope, I hope that you spoke to your son 20 years ago. Yes. That's really cool. All right. Our next story comes from Ham. Now, Ham sent in another story that we will get to probably in the next few weeks. But this is their glitch in the matrix part. Shout out, Ham. Shout out, Ham. I hope it's Ham. I wrote down Ham. Ham. Ham or Hannah. No, I'm pretty sure, Tam. Okay. This, I'm not sure what to think of. And to this day, it keeps me up at night. Okay. So something to know is I'm currently in between jobs. And to keep myself occupied and make some extra money, I make press on sets for my friends and family. I do enough to where I am constantly having to be purchasing materials and products. And this happened maybe two months ago. I purchased a new box of almond, medium length, gel X tips as they are the most popular style of nails I get asked for. I was going to open them for the first time that day. The different sizes are separated and numbered zero to ten, being the smallest nail size. That day, I was working on an order from a friend that needed to have them in a few hours. So I was in a hurry and being a little more clumsy than usual because of that. I accidentally knocked down the box that the nails came in. And they all L every single one of those clear nails were on the floor. My white floors. Yeah, I was mad. But I had no time to dwell or get upset since I knew picking them up would was going to take forever. This was not my first time dropping a box of nails, by the way. So my strategy was this. Pick up the obviously larger ones, which were sizes zero to three, then pick up the smallest one, which were sizes eight to ten. The rest looks similar in size. So I was just going to pick one by one up and check the number under the nails, which are also clear. At this point, I was already done with the bigger sizes and moving on to the smallest, and I was noticing that I was not picking up any tens, just the eights and nines. But I thought nothing of it and kept going until I had moved into the other sizes four to seven. And when I was done, there were zero tens. Remember, this was a brand new box, a clear box that I knew was completely full of all nail sizes before I opened them as I had grabbed two of the size 10 nails and set them aside for the set that I was going to be working on that day. I saw the size tens in the box and they were full. I was in disbelief and was mad at myself because I thought I missed them or misplaced them in the box. So guess what I did. I started all over again. I grabbed my ring light and turned it to the brightest setting and I grabbed one by one, checking the number and no tens. I checked under my desk, I checked under my bed that was nearby, I checked all over my room and all of the tens gone. I ran to my mom's room and told her what happened and her being a Mexican mom, she naturally thought she would be able to find them and went into my room to look. So basically she tore my room apart, looking for those nails and did not find one. I have no explanation and no theories as to what could have happened other than a glitch. I know the story sounds fake, but I promise it's not. I'm even still upset to this day because Gillex nail tips are not cheap and I had to buy a whole new box just to be able to have the size tens again. Oh man. To this day I still have the same box of nails and the section where the size tens would be is still empty and I refuse to take any nails from there just in case another glitch happens and they appear again. I will attach a photo of the box so we can see that this box is totally clear. Please let me know what you guys think about this story and also the previous one which we will tell you later, Ham. Love y'all. Okay, you know what's so weird though about this whole thing. When you look up like glitch in the Matrix stories or if you see one on TikTok or Instagram or something, there's a lot of nail stories. Is there? Oh my, are you joking? [BLANK_AUDIO] me maybe I just get nail content it's your algorithm because I didn't find very many someone will get a full set of you know a design like something cute like short long doesn't matter they will get a specific nail set yeah and they'll look down on the ground and they'll see their nail and they go oh man I just got this set done they'll pick it up and they look at their hands and they have sure I've seen that yeah right that come from that's crazy because it'll be people that didn't get press ons they went to the salon and they got their nails so there's not a when you go to the nail salon they don't make you an 11th nail and just let you bring it home just in case a little souvenir yeah so where does that come from and I've seen a lot of things like that where people find their nail I don't know I've seen a lot enough to make it like stick in my brain you're right I this is a few years ago when I saw them but yeah I did see quite a few it's so weird why nails I don't know I don't know no no answer for me but very strange very frustrating yeah losing the the little jealous tips like the nails I would just give up I get me a little vacuum and be like well hope for the best dang that's a hoax well hopefully Halloween town man can have a nice set of little tiny nails only 10 just a little tiny little tick-tax off the tip fingers oh my gosh that's hilarious what a visual this next story comes from Emmy when I was in high school my parents bought an old camera for me and my sisters to drive one day I drove up to a friend's house when I was parking by her house I took a U-turn but the road was narrow so I backed into someone's driveway to make more space for the turn as I backed up I heard a loud runch noise from the bumper in the back right of the car my initial thought was oh no I hit their mailbox but I immediately realized mailbox was about a yard to my left not behind me at all this made me worried I'd hit a large animal or a person the crash noise was loud so it had to be pretty big I got out of the car nothing was there but a huge dent in my bumper it looked like I had hit a poll because the dent was kind of cylinder shaped I parked at my friend's house and everyone came outside I called my mom to come look at it we were all confused and still no evidence of what I had hit I hung out with my friends and then drove home around midnight before going inside I looked at the dent again and felt embarrassed the next morning I went outside to drive to church and went to look at the dent again it was completely gone there was a tiny scratch in the back but I'm fairly certain it was there before since it was an old car thanks Emmy hello how does that happen let me tell you my first thought and you're going to roll your rise okay the invisible boat mobile I even wrote it down you you hit mermaid man and barnacle boys cargo you gotta go that's it that's the episode I don't know I don't know how the how the dent disappeared either okay I'll just decide I'll just decide I don't know I don't have anything else to say after that about the story but okay yes it was mermaid man and barnacle boy you're correct I yeah sure I'll just decide but how did it how did the dent get out everyone everyone saw it yeah friends family yes it'd be different if it was just you and then we could be like oh maybe like you like hallucinated you were dehydrated or you you dreamt it you were just so stressed out with the noise that you every brain created us and as someone who has run into stationary objects twice in her vehicle has seen her fair share of indentations yeah like you know when you hit something it's it's not quiet even when you do a light tap on a pole it's very loud very loud very it's a very concerning crunch um so I don't know that's really really weird anybody else have any better ideas than invisible vehicles to have a better idea than that one but oh that makes me feel so weird that would make me feel crazy I think yeah knowing that something was there the night before or maybe maybe and this is going way out there maybe someone was like casing the neighbor's house you hit a person and they were like oh man this is my sign I shouldn't rob this house so they took off running before you could come and look and they left a big dent in your car because they were just a very large person I know where this is going solid like a rock and then they were like oh man I can't leave any evidence so they went and took the dent out and I thought that's what you were going to say hey you never know because her home just so they could they remove the dent they didn't want any evidence or it was like a private investigator what casing the house and they're like oh man and they just tucked enrolled out of the yeah cuz what else I have what's a better idea I don't know we need to we need to go I like my theory better than yours I like yours is more more likely it is not likely in the slightest but yeah okay we'll move on to our next story it is from Maria hi girls my name is Maria and I'm from Brazil I started listening to the pod this year and as I was trying to catch up on the oldest episodes I came across the glitch in the matrix one and felt like I had to share this story I already sent a story in once which if you haven't read it it's a very beautiful story from my family I can't wait to get to it this one makes me laugh to this day and I cannot for the life of me explain how it happened in 2019 I was 14 years old and having a normal day at school I have this friend named Henry and we were grabbing something to eat at the school cafeteria I grabbed a sandwich that came wrapped in a paper bag and as we were walking out of the eating area to go outside my sandwich fell on the floor for context Henry had long curly hair at the time and didn't know how to take care of it so it was his trademark to go to school every day with a hat on and he had this habit of taking the hat off brushing his hair back with his hands and putting the hat back on when my sandwich fell both of us started looking for it on the floor around us but it was nowhere to be seen and we were so confused on where it had gone note that we were in an open space no tables no places where it could have gone under no one was walking by that could have grabbed it we were really close to each other and Henry didn't leave my site for a second while we looked we gave up and started walking again and he did the thing where he takes his hat off and brushes his hair back and to our shock my sandwich fell out of his hat I burst out laughing even writing this but at the time we were so dumbfounded that we just stared at each other and at the sandwich on the floor after falling out of his hat again he didn't leave my site I would have seen it if he had taken his hat off and took the time to put the sandwich there more weird than that I would have seen the sandwich shaped bulk on the top of his head so there was no way it was there while I looked it fell on the floor we heard it and like a glitch it reappeared under his hat a few minutes later to this day we mentioned the story to anyone who has never heard it and we have gone through it a gazillion times trying to find an answer there is none he has a very bad liar so I don't see how even if he magically put the sandwich under his hat without me seeing he could hold the lie for six straight years without me doubting it Henry says he didn't feel the weight of the sandwich and also didn't know it was there before taking the hat off and I believe him the shocked look on his face was as real as mine thank you for reading this story and feel free to share it on the pod if you want much much love from Brazil I love the podcast and the community it created which I don't know what I'll say yeah you're a wizard Henry I don't know what I'll say to that that's like huh the magician's trick I okay you know what I saw a magician trick the other day that I said okay magic is real there's there are people out here you know doing slide of hand all that stuff but there was this one and I'm forgetting what even happened I think they were on like a cruise ship or something and he like had these little like fluffy little ball things or he had some kind of object and it ended up in the lady's hand and she looked genuinely like scared like how did it get there and all the comments were like not like this is too real like I I rebuke anything in this video like before being real serious about it and I watched it Chris Angel on the cruise ship yeah mine freaking on the on the cruise ship no it was it was I don't know an explanation for it and that's one of those things that it's like are you magical like how do you explain that if I was watching someone do magic and I'm sitting here with my hands like this and they're like not open your hand and something was in my hand I throw up which which I would be locked away in describing which which because that would freak me out so crazy that would freak me out so bad because how did you do that I was watching I was right here I just imagine this sandwich falling through a wormhole of a kind and just continuously falling until that I don't know that's a really that's a crazy one that's wild that's really fun I would be so shocked and for six years to hold on to that secret if he did do it and he was just messing with you that's a very committed a lie joke or joke yeah I agree well I won't discount it though because something I said recently on the pod I won't disclose what it was I recently got a message from someone that I was talking about or from someone that was the perpetrator of the story that I didn't know and they held on to the secret for eight years yeah I got a text saying ha ha ha me and my accomplice were watching your video and just wanted to let you know it was me almost a decade ago like sorry Jim Carey on the Elevator it was me. Yeah, yeah, I was like wow an eight-year secret hilarious. It's actually cool. I like that I like the Don't ask me Okay, I don't know what you're trying to say. I like the dedication. That's what I was trying to say Yeah, I love I love the dedication for an eight-year secret I also don't have words so no They're buffers and we both do it halfway through this and I took a scoop of pre-workout and I am buzzing my eyebrows are itching I could rip them all out right now Hold that it's hot. Let's wait. Okay, you can rip your eyebrows off later I was not enough in the beginning if Natalie comes back with no eyebrows I'm holding it together. All right, we'll go on to our final story. This is from Tim hold your eyebrows Okay, hey, sorry. I just don't know how to handle this. I wrote this on Reddit and people just assumed I'm suffering from a head injury Maybe I am or maybe I'm suffering from some mental disorder that nobody can figure out I had seen a specialist But I am not sure you can call me Tim when I was in kindergarten I met my best friend patty. We were pretty much inseparable and when we discovered we were neighbors for us It was the best day. We would play together. My older sister Rebecca would be pretty much annoying That she'd have to basically babysit two loud five-year-olds Fast forward to first grade and we were thrilled that we were in the same class together as in Miss Patterson's class Well, I might fast forward again to the event The event that changed everything it was April and I know that it was a Friday And we were going to start a three-day weekend and we're thrilled about it But patty had to go to an event a wedding or a union that part. I can't remember clearly now But I do remember she was all dressed up. I remember she looked like blossom from the powerpuff girls dressed in a pink dress a black belt around her waist a black silk bow and her black hair and She was pissed as she had to keep her dress clean because after school let out she and her parents were going to that party So during recess we and a few other kids decided we would play tag for us. It was a less messy game We had a blast and I felt like I was at my happiest at that time. Then I hit my head hard I stupidly ran underneath this loose bridge on the playground that connected one play area to the next as someone else ran across Causing it to dip and smacking my head very hard I remembered my vision beginning to blur and suddenly I felt light headed But instead of saying something I just ignored it and continued playing I think I didn't want to get into trouble as we weren't supposed to run underneath the bridge So I thought I should stay quiet. Oh my gosh The rest of the day I just felt off and suddenly just so tired But I just pulled through it and pretended I was fine. School let out I said goodbye to patty joined Rebecca and went home once at home. I just felt like I needed a nap and badly So I took a nap. Well, I guess the rest of the day away because I woke up early Saturday feeling a bit tired But better it was still dark out. I think it was maybe four or five a.m But I decided to sneak downstairs to watch some early morning cartoons and that's when I noticed what was off My family portrait. There were my parents my older sister Rebecca my younger brother Rudolfo and then another girl I wasn't sure who she was, but at the same time I think I did She was just a few years older than Rebecca, but that's all I can think of at that time I do remember my mom mentioning that we were supposed to have an older sister a sister She planned to name Alina, but mom lost the baby after an accident a horse kicked her stomach resulting her Missed carriage But I knew Alina was in heaven. Why is she in the family portrait smiling? I was so confused I began to cry. I didn't know what was going on up until then I was told Alina was dead But there she was in the picture. Hey bud. What are you doing up this early? I heard someone say I looked up to see Alina But soon my brain corrected itself and I knew her name wasn't Alina, but Penelope Which scared me why was my brain telling me this when before I knew that wasn't true? I just told Alina, Penelope, that I had a nightmare and went back to my room and hid under the covers trying to go back to sleep And I'm hoping it was a nightmare Somehow I went to sleep and when I woke up I kind of forgot what happened earlier until I heard Rebecca arguing with someone And my blood ran cold as I heard Penelope arguing back I just broke down and began to cry. I know you're wondering why start the story with Patti Well, that's because when school began on Tuesday, Patti wasn't there She wasn't there the next day or the next even her parents told me they'd never had a daughter named Patti when I went to their house After that, I didn't know what to believe. I was basically having an existential crisis at six My best friend just vanished into thin air and a dead sister is alive I tried telling my other friends about Patti, but soon they just thought I was crazy My parents took me to see specialists because they thought I was going crazy, too Everyone tried to tell me Patti was an imaginary friend, but she was real After some time, I just stopped arguing and accepted my fate. Patti is gone Penelope is here to stay after some time I began to believe I made Patti up and just somehow forgot Penelope existed I might have hit my head hard enough to forget a few things. Is there a form of amnesia that can happen? Then April of this year, 2026, I read we used to live here and everything just clicked What if I somehow entered a new dimension one where Patti was never born and Penelope survived? I swear I'm not crazy, and I know my siblings will hear this. They banned me from listening to your podcast after activity began to happen Or they will know I'm talking about them and would believe I'm having a mental breakdown. I swear this is all true I just don't know who else to tell this to without anyone thinking I'm just going crazy Sorry if I made you question your reality Natalie Tim Thank you. You did thank you so much because that is exactly what's happening right now. Oh My gosh, I want to start with I'm very sorry that you are going through this whether it is I somehow maybe you got a really bad concussion at a young age and just didn't like understand what was going on or if this is Some kind of glitch in the matrix or you event. Yeah, either way that that's like grief that you had to go through at six with no closure Yes. Yeah. Oh, I have so many thoughts I Get unsettled at the thought because I I don't know what happens after we die. I'm not I'm not sold I'm not 100% sold on any of the theories yet. I don't know. I have no idea, but if we Like I kind of believe in reincarnation maybe a little bit or like, you know We have multiple lives and things like that. That's a possibility to me that I'm not shutting out But if we die in this life whether that be prematurely or you know old whatever is it possible that we Just jump into another version of that life and it's just like Forever we are just changing dimensions. I mean, we've talked about this before maybe briefly But yeah, there are some people who believe that that could be a possibility that That this is just a never-ending thing where it's not necessarily we are in carnation because you're going into the same life Yeah, until you I don't know complete that life and and then you start over I don't know what exactly people think on in that but I mean there are tons of stories like that where yeah Something happens that changes their life even if it's just like the smallest thing like now they have a blue car instead of a red car Yeah, yeah, but it's like I knew the facts of my previous reality And now it's off and how that everyone's like even that slightest thing changes like butterfly effect Yeah, and like you know the color of a car bubble lot that can be that can be written off but An entire person being gone and an entire new person being there. Yeah, I don't know that just seems like too much to be just like You forgot, you know, I don't know either way. This is nuts if it were me I would talk to somebody like a Psychologist or psychiatrist or something just to like go through that grief and that yeah Like the feelings of you don't know what to believe in your own brain. Yeah, so either way I say or I would Continue on with the specialist But if you are thinking that it's glitch and matrix and other people in the comments maybe think so insane story I'm blown away and this does make me question everything so Thank you. Yeah, so again, I'm sorry that you had to to deal with any of that and wow Yeah, I don't know what to say I am shook to my core and I was hoping you'd say that because that's how I wanted to end this episode Thanks to end another day with you questioning Everything it was silly stupid time for a minute, but now I'm like My head spinning. Yeah, my gosh, wow Well, I'm glad your eyebrows survive to the episode They might not survive. I'm about to be stressing and I want to hear from you guys. What do you think of some of these stories? Especially Tim's story. Yes, that was wild. That's like one of the most just Like crazy stories. I've read like read it or here. Yeah, so leave your comments leave your thoughts leave what you believe Do we jump dimensions do it? What are we crazy? It's no none of this real. We're living in the matrix. It's 90 degrees, but it was like a - Yeah, like a fall is coming 90. - You know what I mean? - Yeah, it was. - You're right, I don't think it was 90, it was like 80.
