Well, Congressman Thomas Massey, Congressman for now, that is, was reading, actually went to the House floor yesterday, read the names of people he says are Epstein co-conspirators on the House floor. He is now, trying very hard for discharge petition to force a vote on the Epstein Transparency Act 2. Let's go ahead and take a listen to a bit of the Congressman on the House floor yesterday. Mr. Speaker, it's been a year since the President signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act and the government continues to withhold over 3 million files. That's why we've introduced the Epstein Files Transparency Act 2 to bring the fight to the state courts, accountability to the Department of Justice, and closure for survivors. We want perpetrators of these crimes to be investigated and prosecuted. Men like Jess Staley, Leon Black, Les Wexner, David Copperfield, Lapo Elcom, Tom Pritzker, Glenn Dubin, Frederick Fekai, Eduardo Teodorani, John Luke Brunel, conveniently dead by suicide in prison, Daniel Siad, recently discovered dead in Paris, Ramsey Elkoly, and Prince Andrew, who committed sex crimes in the United States, too. And women like Leslie, Leslie Groff, not a victim, who conspired with Epstein to traffic other women. Perhaps hearing these names will shame the Department of Justice into delivering justice. I yield back. There you go. He named 14 people. You just heard them there who he says are co-conspirators. And Ryan, worth mentioning, when Thomas Massey was sitting right here at this desk when we interviewed him several months ago, right before the primary that he ultimately lost when Trump poured all of the money into the race to back his apology, he said, he said that an interesting element of the first Epstein Transparency Act that he passed with Representative Ro Khanna, Democrat, was that you are legally compelled to release all the files that should be, that don't fall under any of the redaction exemptions or under any of the classified exemptions where, I guess classified is not the right word, but exemptions where you didn't have to release them to the public. Meaning when a Democratic administration comes in, they could potentially, they could prosecute people in the Justice Department right now who obstructed the release of files that were rightfully supposed to be released. The Epstein Transparency Act 2 seems dead on arrival. Discharge petition, I don't even know that in the middle of the Iran war, they're going to get enough Republicans to do round two of this. What ultimately helped with round one is that Republicans felt they couldn't do it. So does it have enough juice? There was a lot of media coverage at the time that kind of galvanized the whole thing. So we weren't at war. Public attention. And well, we went to war because of that, right? To distract them. We did a survey several weeks into the war. Drop site, right? Yeah. Asking the American people, we sponsored it. Data for Progress did it. We did it with Zateo. Asking the public, do you think that Trump went to war with Iran in part to cover up the Epstein, get the Epstein stuff off the front pages? And by a 50 to 42% margin, the American people said, yes, we do think that that's what happened. So I don't want that to be memory hole. I think historians might have a hard time kind of believing that, but that certainly was the impression that most people had. It's ironic that, you know, if you look at the bar at the bottom here, Iran is right there at the top and Epstein all the way down, you know, towards the middle and usually not being covered at all because they, you know, effectively push this away. So there needs to be enormous public outrage. Again, and you could imagine a world in which Democrats running across the country have tried to generate attention around it again. And you got the podcast class and got people upset again. I don't think we've heard the last of it. I think so. If Democrats take over again, you know that, yes, you can, you could prosecute people. They were hoping that that would be enough to, you know, the threat of prosecution. It'd be enough to compel the release of these documents. That didn't seem to work. And so, you know, Epstein and Khanna tried to sue, but the law did not have what's called a private right of action, which means that somebody is allowed to sue to enforce the law. And so that's what Epstein, so that's one thing that this number two version would do is it would allow people to bring a case and say, this, you need to release this. You haven't, I have standing in court. So, but yes, like it's, it's a huge uphill climb. People need to keep the pressure on. Well, let's put this next element up on the screen from the Daily Beast. Embattled Maine Republican Senator blasted over Epstein donors. It's true. Susan Collins has people who have donated to the campaign that are in the Epstein files in less than flattering ways to say the very least, including Leon Black. Including, who's the, yeah, Jay Lefkowitz. Including then, you can go on to Peter Thiel. There are several others who are in the files in ways that are less prominent than, for example, Leon Black. Elon Musk gave Susan Collins $2,800. Stephen Schwartzman gave to the Super PAC supporting Collins, I think, yeah, $3 million, according to the Daily Beast reporting Peter Thiel, $2,300. Lefkowitz, $334 to Collins' campaign in 2007. So, you know, not a huge one, but I just checked. Graham Plattner was running on Epstein. He was talking about Epstein. Epstein class. So far, as I've been checking this morning, haven't seen much at all from Troy Jackson on Susan Collins' potential Epstein ties or the donor Epstein ties, which is just a political gift in 2026. If you're running for Senate against somebody with this in their background, it's a real political gift, but so far, not much. Let's put it this way. Let's put D3 up on the screen. This is an article from the Dallas Morning News. You may not know this, but the Republicans decided to host a midterm convention in Dallas that has never really been done before. It seems like just a massive fundraising grift that they're trying to do, but this is the headline from Dallas Morning News. Epstein files reading room bookmobile coming to Dallas during the GOP convention. So, obviously, this is the. Some people have probably heard about these. They're doing these, like, pop-up reading rooms where you can go. It's a pretty cool art project. Yeah, you can go through the files as they bring the, like, bookmobile to you. All the files are just, like, laid out in front. And so that's coming to the GOP convention. And I think, you know, it's a little thing, but underscores that there's a lot of political juice. I mean, most importantly is the substance, but there's a lot of political juice just, like, being kind of left untapped right now by many Democrats in this story. Yeah. It was gratifying, at least, to see somebody from the Democratic Party make a statement and mention Epstein in that Susan Collins article in the Daily Beast that you mentioned. But if you look closer, it was a main state party official. Because, you know, one of the criticisms of Jackson's campaign is that it's been pretty heavily taken over by Washington consultants. He got COVID right after he won the nomination, so that's one reason you haven't heard a lot from him. He says he's launching basically a town hall tour starting basically this week. So we'll see if he has some of this the same Epstein fire. that that platner did uh from a lot of establishment democrats that was a main thing you heard them complain about platner they said oh it's talking about all this epstein class stuff yeah it's anti-semitic to talk about the epstein class that well they and they wouldn't even some some of them would go to that but more it's like they just don't like they they just think that that's gauche and like what like nobody cares right we've got our talking points that we give our senators just use them what they miss is that it's bundled up together with kitchen table issues right they think it's just kind of abstract internet controversy but a lot of people see it as the catch-all for everyone who's making your life that much harder economically that much harder right now or is rigging the system against you it's not some like weird as it was by a lot of democrats um framed q anon conspiracy theory for wow abstract internet freaks to a lot of people when you talk about the epstein class that hits them as or if you talk about epstein in general that hits them as the people who are rigging the game against you it's not just some like weird um you know true crime story it has real political meaning and uh connotation for voters and so that's where i think the dc consulting class gets a totally wrong no i mean we all know they get things wrong often but this one in particular still they still don't think i don't think they fully understand why it resonates right yeah i think you're right let's move on to israel who's running on an kind of his own slate uh for uh the for the knesset in this upcoming october election released a campaign ad that is one of the most disturbing uh you're probably ever going to see and so disturbing that it's going to be a lot more disturbing in fact that he eventually under pressure deleted it which is you know he is somebody he is a no apologies no shame type of politician so the fact that he did like we can just we can start rolling it here um suggests the the level and intensity of the rage uh so it it begins with this ai slop of uh what are you know a bunch of obese palestinians being shoved into a conveyor belt and they come out as concentration camp victims emaciated and crying um a yeah i don't even think we need any analysis of it and or and why there was such so much international and domestic um it looks like a cartoon scene out of condemnation of it yeah it's like a cartoon quite deliberately so quite deliberately so yes um and meanwhile he also even put up e2 uh i think this is the 15th time that he and his supporters have stormed the uh al-aqsa mosque which under the you know the status quo agreement is uh reserved for muslim worship of non-muslims are allowed to visit as part of the agreement but not supposed to uh worship there it's a it's a you know we got three holy sites there and they're trying to work out a compromise and it's with significant eschatological claims to that land and that's where the like millenarian uh he wants to knock down the dome of the rock and rebuild the temple yeah and that's why it's i mean that it's kind of the heart of the entire conflict yeah for the and particularly yeah explain from the evangelical perspective they want to usher in the apocalypse by building another temple with the red heifer up there well yeah there are some i mean there are some we've talked about this before but there are some dispensationalists still out there uh evangelical dispensationalists who believe the building of the temple is essential to bring about the second coming of jesus christ and that's one of the eschatological claims to the land it also exists obviously for uh certain jews it exists for certain muslims that's why al-aqsa is so important uh for i mean what was october 7th was called al-aqsa flood because they were anxious about the fate of al-aqsa because ben gavir had been doing this ben gavir quite specifically yeah exactly right a couple other quick uh uh disturbing updates um put up e e3 this is a drop site story by uh mirtaza hussein uh so with the ugandan parliament has authorized ugandan troops to be part of the board of peace operation um inside gaza uh mirtaza got um leaked documents showing that israel and particularly elbit systems their their largest uh weapons maker has been uh working with the ugandan security forces uh for several years now in developing uh drone technology there so uh the ugandan government's use of surveillance drones has rapidly um expanded as a result of their of their collaboration this was the kind of thing creating these kinds of relationships was the kind of thing that uh jeffrey epstein was doing when he was alive uh and so one thing it shows is that while epstein was kind of a central player in a lot of this he was by no means indispensable that no thing you know this the same things are you know continuing to go on um in in his absence i did want to cover this also this situation uh unfolding in gaza where um the israelis have banned um kite flying yes i saw you and so you people are probably familiar um with uh ray fat al-arir's legendary poem um if i must die which the the heart of it is about um him living on in the in in a boy flying a kite go you know if you want to go read reread that poem you'll see flying a kite has become kind of culturally central to a lot of palestinians and in gaza you can imagine why it represents in in open air prison and at least a momentary sense of liberation and so um a couple of kites were found in uh nahalaz the kibbutz one of the closest closest kibbutzes uh to gaza and the residents there panicked and said we need you know we need to put a stop to these to these kites and so the video went viral of a young palestinian boy and put put up um e4 mm-hmm um abiding by this this rule that all of these uh kites that he made himself have to be have to be destroyed and he's already living as you can tell in you know pretty like unbearable uh conditions that video made the rounds so thoroughly around the world uh that the idf responded to it um so let's play uh e5 here you may have seen this in these posts and wondered why the idf is taking it so seriously let me explain for israelis kites can bring back a very specific memory throughout 2018 and 2023 flammable and explosive devices attached to kites and balloons were launched from gaza they caused extensive fires and major damage to agricultural land forests and nature reserves in southern israel recently multiple kites flown in from gaza have been located in southern israeli communities while they didn't contain explosives the idf is taking precautionary measures to prevent any potential threat since the october 7th massacre we made a promise to prevent any threat to our civilians and we will take any precautionary measures in order to do so. So while these kites may seem innocent, don't forget, we're operating against a terrorist organization who will go to any length in order to threaten our civilians. That's what we're operating against. Okay. Well, they didn't contain any explosives. Right. So while these kites may seem innocent, it's quite a line. They may seem to be kites. Kites. But, and just really quickly, yesterday, the Israeli forces launched a raid into Gaza city. You can put up E6. This is, there's a ceasefire. Like Israel signed a ceasefire with Hamas. They launched a raid into Gaza city. They were discovered amid that raid. They said they were trying to capture somebody from Hamas. How you can do that in the midst of a ceasefire that you've agreed to? It's beyond me. Uh, and so then there was a shootout. Israel responded with an extraordinary campaign of bombing around their forces, uh, so that they could extract them successfully. They claim they, um, took somebody out. Uh, meanwhile, they bombed a bus filled with, uh, kindergarten, uh, kindergartners, uh, in the process of this, uh, in the process of this, this raid that is conducted in the middle of a ceasefire. Anyway, those are the, those are the latest updates, um, out of, uh, out of Gaza and Israel. The election is, uh, still scheduled for October 27th. Thanks, Ryan, for, um, breaking that down for us. Elon Musk zoomed into the G20 in Asheville, North Carolina yesterday and made some predictions, depending on your point of view, towards AI that are either dire or very, very exciting. Let's take a listen. Probably by the end of next year. So as I'm sure people know, AI is already incredibly good at software. It's getting to the point where it won't just be good at software. It'll be what I call stockfish level good. So stockfish is a chess program that can beat the world's best chess players very easily. In fact, at this point, you could run stockfish on your phone and beat Magnus Carlsen at chess. So at some point next year is my prediction. Software will be so good, AI software will be so good, that it will be stockfish level good. Meaning that it is impossible. It's impossible for a human to compete in writing software with AI. But like AI will just crush all humans as software. And I think it will be extremely good, possibly stockfish level, but certainly extremely good at all forms of engineering and anything digital. Literally in 12 to 18 months. Brian, does that make you really excited about the future or a little anxious? Maybe both. I mean, pretty. It's incredible that we've been telling people for 20 years to learn to code. Yep. And then telling them that actually learning to code is completely useless. Actually, I just pulled this up from Yale, a recent article on Yale's website where, yes, we're hearing right now unemployment. If you're not counting people out of the job market, you've just dropped out of the job market because those numbers have gone up. But unemployment is at a fairly healthy level. But if you zero into particular careers. It's way less healthy. So they say nowhere is this clearer long term consequences. Nowhere is this clearer than an entry level software engineering, though the picture depends on whom you ask. One researcher discovered that employment among developers aged 22 to 25 has fallen nearly 20% from its late 2022 peak. The online job site indeed also paints a stark picture. Software development job postings have fallen 53%, 53% from the same starting point. And so not only are the technological ramifications. Kind of in the abstract, somewhat chilling that you might have this capacity without proper restraints, but also the economic ramifications staring right back at us. And it doesn't seem that there's much of a plan to deal with that whatsoever. We could put the Barron's article about this up on the screen. Their headline was, Elon Musk sees a power crisis coming and other takeaways from his G20 speech. He bet in the speech, this is one of the other big takeaways from it, he bet in his speech that. There will be 1 billion humanoid robots operating in 10 years and that those robots will be five times as productive as humans, according to Barron's. So now take this computing power prediction he made, combine it with the 1 billion humanoid robot prediction that he made and ask yourself why it is people might be a little, a little less than bought in on the data data center hyperscale. Yeah, seems pretty straightforward. Doesn't it? No. They're talking like this. Allende kind of trying to walk back his 50% of white collar jobs will be wiped out prediction, but not entirely walking it back, right? And then saying we're going to have humanoid robots with this, like, who would be able to basically beat Magnus Carlsen at chess, drop the hat. I wonder, Ryan, if you've been playing against any of these. Well, I mean, the AIs are integrated into the chess, the chess apps. Do you think they're being nice? Do they let you win a couple? Well, you can put it on different levels, certainly at a decent level. Like Magnusson can't even he's right. Like they're they're at a place where not even he can win once in a while on like the on the little like puzzles or something. They'll they'll make a mistake. And that's kind of fun to be able to catch them doing. But otherwise, they're real. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I mean, again, so he's saying that it's going to crush every human. It's going to crush every human that's in it writing code. It's going to be so good at engineering. And this is the timeline that he read out. He laid out his 12 to 18 months. And people are wondering why certain communities aren't like, well, OK, great. Bring us the tax benefits. Put your hyperscale in data centers over here. And it's like, well, you have to shit like this happening where the predictions are that we're going to dramatically change the world in a time period of 12 to 18 months after we just were proven. I mean, look at what just happened to Meta in court, which was an easy settlement. They got off easy in that stupid settlement. Not that I blame people for taking the settlement, but they got off easy in that. And parents have seen what these companies have done to their children over the last 20 years. And now they're like, we're on the cusp of dramatically changing life. You'll see it happen in the next 12 to 18 months. There might be significant unemployment. There will be little humanoid robots walking around everywhere and people like maybe don't take up all this farmland for that in my community. Yeah. And I think there. Is I think the things do bleed together, but mostly the opposition is around the people think their power bills are going to go up. They think the water is going to get destroyed. They think they're going to be loud and nasty and ugly and not actually create any jobs. And then as a kind of separate thing, they also might like using chat GPT, but they don't like the direction of where this is said to be headed. I think it's somewhat related that even if they did like the direction of where it was headed, they'd be like, not in my backyard. Yeah. And if it was if there were signs that the integration was happening in a more strategic way, as opposed to let's throw everything at the wall, see what sticks Kevin O'Leary style, because this is all about beating China at the end of the day, I think people would be way more open to it. But it hasn't been it hasn't felt to people that it's strategic because you have these guys out there talking about it. Well, maybe this may be that in these like catastrophic being flippant about. catastrophic changes to society that they're really optimistic about, but to other people sound like risks and change they're not willing to accept in such a short time period because this is moving faster than social media ever did. It's moving faster than the other technologies ever did. So, yeah, I mean, again, the fact that they could still continue to talk like this publicly and then marvel at the opposition to data centers and the lack of trust that people have towards tech in a low institutional trust society across the board, it's ridiculous. And I also think the talking point of we have to beat China assumes people care about that. Yes, I agree. And understand what that even means. Got to beat China. Okay, why? We don't care about China. What's China going to do? Make the argument, but they don't even make the argument. They just use the talking point. Yeah, I mean, and maybe there are some real risks there, but it's not obvious why I'm supposed to. GAF about China. Because people don't trust you. Not you personally, Ryan. But they shouldn't.
