Welcome to this guided meditation on panic attacks. You can listen to this meditation when you experience a panic attack and need restful words to get through the panic. Or when you are calm and you want to learn subconsciously to overcome panic attacks. You probably feel the moment as if you are overflowing with emotion. You think of traveling, you feel the restlessness in your body and you really feel your physical symptoms that make you afraid. What you also feel knows that it has everything right to be there. The thoughts, the feelings, the symptoms, they are completely safe, also you don't feel that way. You know that there is a very big difference between fear and danger. Even though these two emotions feel the same, fear is always safe. Still, the last thing you want to fear is to bring you in danger, because fear is to keep you safe. Panic attacks feel intense. I and many others can talk about it. You are not weird, there is nothing wrong with you and you are not alone at all. Know that every panic attack always goes by, just as it has always done. It seems that sometimes it will always stop, but every wave of panic always goes by. Panic is actually the same as the waves of the sea. Sometimes you have high waves and sometimes you have low waves. Sometimes the waves seem to come from nothing, unexpected. We can't make sure that the waves don't come anymore, but what we can do is improve our attitude towards the waves. When we have a panic attack, we often run into the waves. We want to get rid of it, start fighting, and they are also quite frustrated about ourselves. They are angry, and maybe sometimes they even make fun of us. But this is actually the same as running to the sea and being angry that the sea has waves. You don't have any control over whether the waves want to come or not, but you do have all the control over your behavior towards that wave. And how detailed your behavior is towards the wave, how you get more self-confidence and how small the waves will become after time. You get better at reacting to waves, and the better you react, the less challenges the waves will become. Panic will go away and fear will only be fear. Through continuous and time after time, you can react well to the waves of fear. The waves become smaller, and you see fear for what it is. A very uncomfortable and intense feeling, nothing more and nothing less. When you react well again, you can notice that you are getting self-confident. When you get self-confident, you are less afraid of the waves of fear. The thoughts, the feelings and the symptoms you experience, let them be a little more, how difficult that is. The fear needs to make room for what you think and feel instead of wanting to go away. Let that wave that you feel for a moment, wave a little more over your head, let it go again and fight against what you think and feel, but it is completely gone. Very good. Let your thoughts say what they want to say. Let them calm down, without wanting to go away. And let your heart beat faster than it wants to. How unnatural it also feels to let these thoughts and feelings go, knows that you are absolutely safe. It feels like a lot of things are happening, but the worst thing that can happen is that you feel scared, but the worst thing that can happen is that you feel very scared, nothing more and nothing less. By practicing with the thoughts, feelings and symptoms to let go, the wave that you experience a moment ago can go a little faster and become less powerful. Move with the waves instead of going against them, up and down, up and down. As a server that moves with the waves instead of going against them. Try to accept the feelings of fear and not judge what you think and feel. Give it space, without being frustrated. Very good. Do you see that you can do this? You notice that it feels good to let go of the fight and more relaxed towards the fear. You notice that it feels good to let go of your body and what it wants to do, without going against it. And you notice that it actually works very well to let go of the fear, without wanting to get rid of it. Let go of fear, but do something, what it wants to do. Not because you like it, but because you move along with the fear, with the wave. Serve instead of going against the waves. You start to realize that a panic attack can only take place when we react with a lot of fear to fear. When we fight very hard against the wave. When we can let go of the fear, without fighting against it, we lose a lot of our strength. How often do you gain self-confidence? You will notice that you are more and more confident that you can just accept your fear. You will realize that fear is not dangerous, and the worst thing that can happen is that you feel very scared. Nothing more, nothing less. And that your self-confidence increases from time to time, month to month. You will notice that you are less afraid of the waves of fear.
