#673 - Jshock

In this podcast episode, the host welcomes J-Shock, a Long Island-based streamer and content creator, to discuss his rise to fame, personal struggles, and unique personality. J-Shock begins by recounting his viral "no-look handshake," which accidentally originated when he met an elderly fan named Frank and failed to shake hands properly, leading to a trending TikTok meme. He explains his signature "Shock-o-Clock" catchphrase, rooted in his birth in April 1999 and his philosophy of rating life out of nine, always striving for improvement. The conversation delves into his health challenges, including Kenny Kaffee syndrome, a rare bone growth disorder causing calcium deficiency, seizures, and hearing loss; he describes getting hearing aids for the first time and nearly dying as a child. J-Shock also opens up about a past psychosis episode triggered by excessive weed use, which led to a month-long stay in a psych ward, and his subsequent recovery. He shares humorous family lore, like his parents meeting at a club and his father proposing with a ring in a fortune cookie, plus his conception in Cape Cod, fueling playful rumors. The talk touches on his dating struggles, athletic background (rugby, basketball), and his positive outlook despite adversity, emphasizing resilience and authenticity. The host appreciates J-Shock’s genuine nature, making the episode a blend of humor, vulnerability, and inspiration.

I want to share that there is a textile update. We got a restock over on the merch site. We loaded up on the latest sock drop in four color ways and the new rat conties. They're back. It's a limited run and they won't be there for long and it's all available at theovonstore.com. If you've gone there to support ever, I just want to say thank you very much. Today's guest is a streamer. He's a content creator and a music producer at a Long Island, New York. He just participated in Kai Senat's streamer university had a great time getting to know him. It's ShockerCluck. Today's guest is Jay Shock. Shock looking shark boy. ShockoCluck. ShockoCluck bro. Bro. Dude. Yeah. Yes, bro. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, dude. Yeah. Thank you for having me. You've met me. Show me how to do the look away handshake. No look handshake. Yeah. That was created completely by accident, but you come in and go up for the look. Okay. And look at the watch if you have one or you can look at your phone. Okay. And this dude is doing it. So here, if I got my phone, I'm doing it like, yeah, like nice, what's your name? And then, yeah. Theo. Don't look at me. Okay. Sorry. Oh, dude. It's in the directions and I messed it up. Okay. All right. Hold the phone with that hand. With this hand. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, what's your name? Awesome. Good to meet you, man. That's great. Yes. Yeah. How you doing? Do you want to know how that happened? Well, my friend got a chop cheese. Which is typical for an Italian, right? Exactly. That's a national pastime. Yes. And on the island where I'm from, they don't really have chop cheeses, but this deli have one. It was in Carl Place or something. We go in, and there's this old guy named Frank, 75, 80 years old, and we get in there and he's like, go on crazy. He's like, do you know what this is? Do you know what's in your deli right now? Random customer. He's like, I'm your biggest fan. It was the oldest fan I ever met. Frank? He orders us food, me and my cameraman food. We got to do a video now, true. So we get him. And in the video, you see me walking up to the guy Antonio, and he has me his phone. He's like, what's your, your handle? And I type it in his phone and I'm like, what's your name? And I said, he said Antonio. I'm like, okay, nice to meet you. If I ain't even click, there it is. Look. It's right here. I fro. So this got clipped. And. Of course. Who blindly goes, who just gives their hand to a man they don't even know it near a bunch of boars had meats. That's correct. Who just randomly, all this God, God only gives you two hands, J. Shock. And you're just like, yeah, I'm just going to offer one of what if that guy would have just fricky could have just, dude, that guy could have put it right in his mouth. I could have slapped my head. Look, I have no hair. I'm going to smack it off. He could have put it right in his mouth, J. Shock. It's like, don't feed the bears. We don't know what this guy's been up to. So now a couple of weeks later, there's a, it is tick tock. Okay. So if you click the comments, it tripped up blue, like no luck hand shake. So if something is trending, it'll be like a blue comment. And it kept popping up on all my videos and I don't know what it was. So one day, I went to Florida and my uncle's like, next time, look a guy in the face when you give him a hand shake. And I was like, what do you mean? He's like, it's all over the internet. You didn't shake the guy's hand. You're uncle told you that. It's finally clicked. Look at this. This is what's going on. Why are you no looking them all? I did it to Kai. You know Kai's today. Yeah. For sure. Well, I got the shimmer. There it is. That one right there. Look at this. I hit them. You got it. You got it work. What time is this? Wow. Bro, you had it loaded too. They loaded. It's almost like you got to like, it's like, you got that thing on you. Yeah. You got that thing on you. You got that drink right there. Bro, that's beautiful, dude. Do you have like a signature move like that? I don't really. I'm just like waving goodbye to people, crying in a driveway of something I've done a decent amount of years. I don't know if that's a signature move, really. You know what? I'm going to think about that. Do I have a signature move you think, Trevin? Like if you were to a wrestling move, I would hit that. Just hit the shackle clock on them. Oh, hit the shackle clock. And there's some. Body flip. Yeah. Yeah. What would you be a good one? Your signature move is it's more of a catchphrase. I think. What else? Oh, yeah. Which one? I say what else a lot because it's like, sometimes if I'm talking to somebody, I don't like there to be like a lot of like down time in the conversation. So I'll be like, if things got get real quiet, I'll be like. What else? Yeah. In a minute. Yeah. I've had a lot of different viral moments like that. Oh, yeah, yeah. I've seen that. That was one of the biggest ones on Intentionally, but like, I think the first major video I did was me going to Chili's and I said, first time trying chili, let's see what all the hype's about and that video got like 2 million views. Is there hype about that? I guess there is. There's got to be some hype around Chili's, no? Yeah, that's true. That's true. Triple Dipper? Oh, I don't even know how. Yeah. What were we. I can't believe we were double dipping it in. How did you find this? How was he so quick with it? Oh, there you are. So this is one. Look at my hair. How different I look. Bro, you look fricking. You look. I look like a. Oh, you look like business casual Khaju. I look. I look like a different human being. Yeah. Definitely. And I used to drink. I don't drink anymore. That's what I heard. You looking at this lady that you used to teach P.E. to us as well. So this is my friend, Andrew. He took a ginormous sip of corn, you're going to see her. What corn is light? A little silver bullet. Look at this humongous sip. You don't kill a werewolf. He don't want to kill a J-shock though, huh? Um. I'm completely different style back then. Dude, welcome, bro. Thanks for coming in, man. Thanks for hanging in there, bro. Thanks for having me. When is, uh, bro, when is. When is shocker clock? On officially, it's at 9.09. Okay. 9.09 is my time. It is? Why is that? About 4 o'clock, son. I just love the number nine. I was born April 1999. The number 99 has a lot of significance to me. Like, I rate out of nine. You know, when I rate my food, I rate only and I'm not. The only one that does that. One to nine? One to nine. And mathematically, it makes no sense, but philosophically, it does. So out of nine, I think you should always be at 99% and always strive to become perfect. Because we'll never be perfect. Nothing's ever perfect. So when I rate out of nine, it's basically like. Oh, yeah. You know, the 10 is perfect, but because we're taught in school, 10 is perfect. You know, we're going to 100 in school, you're going to 8 plus, you're going to 100%. I like to be at 99% and always try to be better. It makes sense like that, but mathematically, if you were at a nine, it would technically be 100%. That's shockonomics. That's what we're figuring out here, dude. But, dude, do they have shock-o-clock during, like, do they even have it during daylight savings time and stuff? Like, is it. Yes. We'll set the clocks back, set them forward. It's always shock-o-clock. It doesn't matter. Always on the wrist. So now, when I have no watches on, it's shock-o-clock on the wrist. Okay. When I have a watch on it, it's shock-o-clock on the dot. So if you go back to my older videos, you could see if I'm wearing a watch, I'm like, it's shock-o-clock on the dot that they were having, whatever. And is there a day of the year when there's no shock, and like, is there like one day of like, is there a day of the year where it's like. No clocking. Yeah. We're not. Yeah. The clock is not shockable every. It's not even plugged in. You know what I'm saying? Like, is there a day when it's off? It's always on. Really? Mr. Vaughn, it's always on. Even Christmas? Yes. Every day. I recorded a. I. Less Christmas or. Yeah. That's Christmas. I was panicking because I didn't have a video because I was on a. I. When I quit my job and even before it, I was recording every day and posting every day and editing every day. Same day. Same video. For 365 days. I posted every day. I got all the way up to over a million followers and it worked. But the clock was always ticking. It never ends. I think maybe if I go to like church or something, it's off. Okay. Like, there's no cameras. Even though people try to take pictures of me, I'm like, "This is the Lord's house." Right. You know what I mean? Jesus ain't posted on the gram today, you know? Well, we got to honor him. There's a bigger J. Yeah. There's a bigger J on that day, for sure. I find it really hard to take breaks, especially with food. There's all these new items coming out, like new, I don't know, pickle bubble gum or some crap, you know, like crazy, flaming hot. Yeah. Barbecue napkins or something. Yeah. There's always some shit. There's always like a new thing. They're like, "Yeah. I mean, we got this new like Chipotle spare tires or whatever." Flaming hot toilet paper, you know? It's always some bull. Yeah. Something coming out. You know, it's like we got new Chipotle hair spray or whatever. Some type of shit. It's like whatever. I saw they made McDonald's-cented candles. It's not hot. Based on all the dipping sauce in their candles. Oh, that's beautiful. It pops some sweet and sour, you know? Oh, I would definitely put one of those on. Dude, look at this. Look at this. If I'm having a funeral, put a couple of those on, bro. You have a favorite sauce, like condiment? Uh, yeah, probably, I would say Zackie or, I would probably say, um, or Monster brought you know what I had a dream two nights ago that mustered was making a big comeback Didn't even fall off Oh, I think mustard fell off I think I think I mean I think I like yeah, when it was last time you even heard anybody talk about it Nobody it's like yeah, I'm gonna get some mustard out and put it on something and it's back J. Sean But dude, so here's what I want to uh, so let's go into this. Oh, thank dude. Thanks so much for coming in bro Yeah, it's definitely an honor, bro. It's sir. It's been a blessing to see you. Um, and you know, it's called me sir Anything to say yes, okay Okay, sir and It's just been like you you came on my radar like I would see a lot of clips and stuff and then I was talking with sketch And he's like bro, you gotta meet my friend J. Hey man, you know, but when you put so much out there man your energy is so just like I don't know it makes me I think it makes it reminds people to just be themselves You have to be the best that they can dude. I'll tell you this story. So one time we went to the beach and Are you comfortable? Yes, sir. Okay. We went to the beach and It was like done in like Panama city or destined or something and at night like the kids would go walk out on the beach at night Mm-hmm like that was the thing And you know like if you were 14 or whatever you it was like right around that time our parents like yeah You can go out of the beach. You know I'm saying. Yeah, stay out of the oh stay out of the ocean or whatever But go have a have a good time. So during the day we would go Sneak liquor or something bury it out in the sand or whatever then we go find it and dig it up later at night and drink it out there Okay, but anyway one night. I'm out there. My buddy had met some friends. He's talking to them So I went I'm kind of walking down the beach and I met this gal and so we start like kind of talking and She's like it's a full moon. She's talking about this full moon stuff and then we end up like going out in the water and kind of like Kind of kissing or whatever a little bit and so it was like very romantic, you know and then we come back and we go back Like over by the hotel or the motel whatever we're staying in And we got into like the lights that were over there and she was like 35 years hold it and I was like 14 or what and we just didn't realize I think like because it was dark out there We just didn't realize it was like a such a age difference and broke and so we just both like looked at each other We're like what the heck I think like the way the moonlight hit us you just couldn't tell you you hooked up with a cougar when you were 14 Yeah, brother and I was just out I was out there on the beach just trying it But it was just that you know when you're out there in the summer that lead night jam that love everything sounds like love Yes, everything sounds like love music to just the waves hit and the moon sounds like it just hit smell Oh, the smell of seagulls eating ravioli's I know the moon seems like it only came up just to watch people kiss you know Oh, you've you're getting like a painting of an image right now. I feel like we're at a beach dude. It's beautiful brother Yeah, that's one thing about that love like especially that young love. There's just something about it, bro When you'd be so nervous and you'd go to school, dude. That would be the craziest, bro I'll get butterfly every time I saw this girl. I would get fucking bald eagles in me Little bald eagles. Yeah, they're flying around eat my intestines. That's how nervous I got Like I'd be standing there like this. There's fucking nine parrots inside They're up. Oh, dude. I threw up one time out of the window in class. It's one girl was so beautiful I just ran over to the window and is vomited right home Didn't even care and there was some kid out there studying or whatever whatever screw him I Think Now looking back with that. I've only been in one relationship. I think like oh, yeah I always think like I wonder if she sees me. Oh Seagulls you know like having some of your success doing your thing because I feel like someone I got up to a bar Be like y'all like you ever see this dude Be like that's with my ex and then I want that dude to be like well you you messed up. Yeah But I never wish right, you know, which I've called there a million times She never picked up, you know you block my number I'm blocked it I haven't heard from her in like 10 years and it's just like block of clock. I want to see how you're doing block. Oh clock Yeah, is that what you said? Yeah, do you have a block of clock, bro? The husby block it Bad now it's crazy, man, and what how do things fall apart between you and her? I was immature, Mr. Vaughan. I was very immature I feel like dude every time you call me mr. Vaughan, I feel like I teach drivers at this is so good Do you want me to call you deal? Yeah, you can not you call me whatever you want. All right, but it's great though It's just it shows who you are, bro. You got a level of respect. So We were dating for a year and a half and I just I was immature like I was stupid I didn't know what I wanted to do in life I wasn't like a man. I wasn't tough. I didn't have any priorities, you know any any Hobbies like I was just any direction, you know, I mean, I like music. I mean, I made music, but I Think she could she sense that She's like I'm one of me a pharmacist in college. What are you going to be? I'm like, I'll figure it out. I'll major in something So she went her way. I went on my way and she broke up with me But I think she treated on me because she was she kept bringing up like this other guy and I'm like, who the fuck is this? You know why I keep Rick or whatever name was Ricky? Who was the name Ricky or not? I just guess names, and I wasn't Ricky, was it? Tony oh god, I think it was Tony of course. It was Tony. What where was this at? Where yeah, 10 years ago in Long Island. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was Tony It was Tony, but um, I think she was hanging out with him type shit, and it was just weird because Towards the end of the relationship. I wasn't seeing her that much. She was going out and She called me over one day to go to the beach and she came out with a blanket. Hmm I'm not a blanket a hoodie my hoodie and there was a baby and there's a baby in the hoodie Like E.T. No, like she had a baby with the other guy with Tony Like look at like E.T. Remember E.T. Oh yeah, yeah, no, there was no baby. I Don't think they want. Oh, thank god, and It was all my shit. No, she's like here Little bit of stuff. She had her wrapped up in all my stuff I move my bracelet I just I gave it back to her. We took a walk. I started crying she started crying and that was it Couple months later. We tried to get back together, but her mom passed away. No, so I Had to try to help her through it and she was going through a lot of Shit, man. Oh, so it just didn't work out The numbers and then that's it. That's been it. You only loved shock. Never had And now it's weird because I don't know if a girl likes me for like my Status if I even have a high status or if they like me for who I am and I it's like I've been on different dating apps I get matches. I don't get matches and you don't know what's real and it's just hard to find love good I'm such a sociable person. I talked to everyone like we go to the bar or something I'm talking to everyone girls, guys, negative friends I mean while these girls are approaching guys and I'm like what the A brick wall my invisible am I muted? It's like I can't I can't land anything You know, do you ever feel like that? Do you feel like do you ever feel like you're always going to be alone? Is that a weird question? I'm I'm become comfortable with being alone because I'm grinding like I'm just so hungry now to just literally I saw you for like 12 nuggets I saw you eat frickin 12 nuggets dude. Well, what I say you need 12 nuggets somewhere 12 nuggets. Yeah, it's a Burger King I think oh I down those dude. I saw you I saw you eat those crown nuggets. Yeah It looks like it. It looks like I ate it. Oh It's part of the It's the magic of Hollywood people think I'm eating all the food, but I'm really just putting it to the side eating and after bringing a home giving it to someone you know, oh, that's a big not a lot of homeless people where I am But if if there is I'll go out of my way and drop it off, you know, well these days you got to find them It's like ever since yeah like that Pokemon go there was they've had like a lot of competition out there I feel like because dude people were like it's crazy when Pokemon go My home was Pokemon go but it's like before Pokemon go we had homeless people It was like they were the Pokemon go and then and then they did they even digitized if so homeless people like what? I like I used to have some now there's just people would be like stepping over like get out of my way homeless guy Yeah, I'm looking for a digital charizard, you know, so yeah things have just gotten different man, but About the girls you said that like now it's like so now you have more popularity, right? So that's one thing that I think a recognized ability that's missing that I like to say so it's like you get recognized ability and then things do get a little bit confusing, but if you're a guy that's pretty Close to their own feelings and closer their own emotions. I feel like you'd be able to clock pretty good if a girl is being a real or not Definitely, and then if you also are just looking to have something casual just a little you know Little something. Yeah, just a little something just a little down and a little something. Yeah, it's a little tickle trying yeah, a little cuddle session Yeah, it's a little frickin pop it a blue ray. Yeah, a little dirty ravioli blue ray, bro, and a blue shoe by the shooting off Rado You're all keep playing with this little baby rattle. I got in my pants here The frickin lords man Akadi, bro. The third thumb you'll be a stroller. Oh Listen, I'm trying. I'm really him. Oh, I got the penis of a lords toddler, brother. That's what I say What a monkey Oh my god, what are we talking about dude? Oh, yeah, dude But you would be able to notice bro because I'm saying if you're so much of a heart, which I think you know That's who you are right. You're so much of a guy who's like connected to the feelings. You're a real guy You're gonna know if somebody's being real or not. Yeah, I've had I went to this place in Port Washington and there was a group of girls. It's like all nines. I call them a nickel and four pennies Nine and a nine and it was like their birthday weekend or something and me my boy We're out with me, my dad and my two friends. And we got a couple of friends on Martini. They had like a mocktail or something. And all these girls were out there talking to us. My friend was taking a shit in the bathroom from these friends on Martini, missed it on all the action. - Oh, he's always that guy, yeah. - My dad's still talking to the bartender and me and my boy are talking to all these girls. And they keep coming out like a stampede of girls. And we're talking, I'm talking to all of them. We're talking to 10 girls at once. - Jesus Christ. - And that's a dead movie, 300 or whatever. - I could talk to infinite amount of girls at the same time. - What's up? - Jesus, don't say that. - I can. - At the same time. - At the same time. - You said you can't even do math. - Hey, how you doing? What's going on, yeah? - You good? - Hey, I'll like your dress. - Yeah, you like it. - I'm just on the fly. Anyway, one girl, like what do you, I see you on TikTok, like your famous guy. I'm like, I guess I'm not famous. I'm like, you don't know me. I'm not famous. I don't like to say, I never like to say I'm famous or something like that. 'Cause I'm not. I like to say I'm just an example of what you could be. - Yeah. - You know, 'cause that being humble, like God said that, you know, I'm just an example of what you could be. You're just an example of what I could be. You're like a mentor, whatever. - 'Cause there's a lot of rumors out there that there's people that say you're Allen. I've heard you're Allen. When Allen, I ever since kids I've heard that before. - I could be freaking, I could be a kid. Who are we now? - I don't know. - Allen, I ever since. That's what I've heard. There's a lot of rumors out there. - I could shoot three. - I guess. That's all I've heard. - But anyway. - But also, let me just, I'm trying to think of what I was. Oh yeah, there's rumors that you were conceived during the episode of Jersey Shore, a reunion episode. You know, that's a, that's a. - By who, Molly B? - I have no idea, dude. - Polly D and Snuggie. Oh, Jay Wow. Jay, Jay Wow, Jay Shock. - Oh. - Possibility. - Bro, that's a way possible. - Bro, I had a crush on Jay Wow. Like crazy. - Bro, who did it? - God, dig it, damn. - Bro. - Is that her? - Yeah. - What she would know? - Huh? - Damn. - Who she with, dude? She's with us, bro, in our dreams, bro. - For real? - Oh, dude, her, a vodka sauce. Put me to sleep, Ronnie. - My God. - God. - Is that Ronnie? - Look, you got, we both got bad vision, dude. Whoever he is, I'm with this. We lovers so much, we don't care if he stays around. - We don't care. - Yeah. Oh, that's Zach right there. - Zach? - That's Zach right there. Oh, you know what, actually, I met him before. He's great, great guy. - Could I have this? - Yeah, you can have him. You gonna take it home? You don't wanna have it now. - I'll see you. - I'm gonna have a heart attack. I can't drink caffeine or energy drinks. - You can do it. - What take I sip? - Take a couple. I kept with your friend was shitting at the bar. - Yeah, no, I'm talking to the girls. That's frickin' amazing. - That's crazy. I'll have a little with you. - Can we do a little cheers? - Yeah. - It's a, so I'll see you at so clock. - Do we have to look the same at each other or not? - Yeah, at the sippin, it's not going clock. - That's gross. - That's really good. - Dude, okay, so this is-- - So now, this girl. - That does have caffeine in it, man. - It'll be fine. How much caffeine can you have before we get-- - I'm not gonna have that much. - Before we get to pick you up or whatever. How much can you have? This is, I remember we have like a quarter. - Okay, do I need a monitor? Are you gonna monitor it? - I got it. - Okay. - You see me pass out? Well, no. - Yeah, fuck, yeah. I don't give you a pass out of-- - Start twitching. - No, I don't know. I just don't want you to hop with it first. I don't give you a pass out of your font. We got, you know, I think it trevins the registered CPR or whatever, at least you learned online. - Oh, yeah. - But yeah, I just don't want you to ruin in these throw pills. - No, I'm not. - Okay. - She is asking me how much money I'm making. - No. - She's like, how many views do you get? Like, do the money come from the views and all this stuff? I'm like, I'm not telling you that. Like, I don't talk about money like that. And like, I was-- - Was it one of those view diggers? - Yes. - There's a lot of those view diggers, dude. - Yeah. - View diggers are the worst, bro. - For real. Oh, that's a good term like that. Like, I have the gold version and you have the view version. - Oh, yeah, view diggers are the worst, bro. Oh, my goodness. - Cloud chaser. - Yeah. - You know? - Yeah. - And I got like four of their numbers asked me where they were interested then. - And I was like, which one do you want to go on a date with me? And I'm right in the hand. And I'm like, all right, let's go get sushi. Nothing ever happened. That's how everything always happens. I go, I get the conference, ask her out. We go nowhere. That's how it happens. - Dude, I freaking met this girl. I'll tell you this, not even that long ago. And she texted me and then, I think I messed up. Let's do one more little cheers. I kind of enjoyed that, dude. Probably feel like I'm watching, dude, do it one more time. I feel like I'm watching your video. - Choco clock. - Choco clock. - You really gotta make a noise when you sip it, too. - Whoa, little gargle at the end, huh? The old Italian mating call. I'm good. - I messed up. - You only get one more sip, okay? - Okay, but one more later. - And you can't have it too close to bad, either. - So good. - I know what it is. - What's in the flavor? - Huh? - I don't know. I think this is anti-pasta or whatever. We got something special, 'cause we knew. - Little more to delo flavor. - Yeah, we knew we'd have some Italians in the end of that. Oh yeah, we got some nucky. - Hell yeah. - Dude, oh, I was telling you this story about a freaking date or something. Yeah, dude, and I said this girl we end up texting. And then I sent her, I was just having like a day, like sometimes I like sending voice notes better than text. Do you ever do that? - Oh hell yeah. - For like a, you've voiced the text message. - Yes. - Let's type it out for you. But the voice memo's good, because they like to hear your voice. - Yeah. - I heard girls like that. Dude, I freaking heard girls like that too. And so I sent this girl one, and I sent this girl one. And dude, and it was like, I was out. You ever notice when you're just in your bag, when you're talking, you're like, oh dude, I'm feeling good, I'm confident. Everything's good. I sent her like a nice voice note. It was funny and everything, nothing. - Nothing. - Emily, did you fart in the voice memo? - No, I just was normal. - You didn't like sound like like deeper, high. What did you say? - Oh, I told her, I said, I met this Christian water skiing group and I was at a lake last week. And that I, and it was fun. And that, yeah, things were going pretty well. And that, and then oh, I asked her, yeah, I said, do you have a husband or anything? Because I didn't know she had a husband, because I didn't want to be messaging someone that had a husband. - That's like, you got a call. There's certain, if you say that, that's safe forever. I like the call, because you don't want to have anything saved on voice or text. - The voice and I say that was wrong. You just said to do the voice and you say you like it. - A husband. - No, but I said, do you have a husband? I don't want to be messaging some lady that had a husband, that's what I was saying. - I think you're going blind, figuring it out, find out. - What do you mean, that's what I did? And I didn't get, nothing. I didn't figure out, I figured it out that she was not interested, I guess, I don't know. But I don't know, I sent a nice voice to her, she wasn't anywhere. - Yeah. - So, it's okay, we don't need to feel bad about it. - She missed out. - She missed out. - You know what I'm saying? - I don't feel bad about it. - I can't see greatness. So why should you settle for less? - Well, yeah, if you can't see greatness, baby, I'm like, look, I can't, I ain't buying you glasses, girl. You know? - Literally. - Dang. - What else? - Oh, what else, dude? I got to know a little bit more about the origin story because there was so many rumors. - Rumors. - Oh, so many rumors, dude. There was ones that you were conceiving your power lines. That was one, there was one, I'm trying to think of what else. Oh, you were like a data center, baby, or whatever. - Yeah, I know. - That's a big rumor going around that you're a data center, baby. That like, if you cracked you open, you'd have a bunch of data in your neck or whatever. - Could be, could be your robot. - A bunch of recipes or a bunch of episodes of Euphoria in your neck or whatever. - Why? - Yeah, I guess it's something. - My Italian rainbow cookies, isn't it me? - Yeah, dude. - Bro, have you so come, bro? It's just a-- - It's just a copy of what kind of oldies come out of me. - It's just a fucking, a bunch of brave canolies come out. Oh, that'd be so good, though, dude. - Bro, you could be an Italian superhero. I could see you being an Italian superhero. 'Cause we need a new one. Who's the latest one? - Who's the what? - The latest Italian superhero, maybe Pauli D. and Vinnie. Has there ever been an Italian superhero? - Tony Soprano. - Could be it. - Who the hell is an Italian? Is Iron Man Italian? - I don't know, Iron. - Rob. - Iron sound. - Tony Stark? No, that's not it. - Iron sounds like Dutch or whatever. - Iron. - No, Bruce Banner? That's gotta be Italian. - Bruce Banner, yeah. - So that's German, Banner's German. - Banner, Bruce, but he was green. He was a greener in the days. - What's Marvel character is Italian? - Yeah, that's Italian is being fairly represented in the Marvel universe. Look that up. Are Italians being fairly represented in the Marvel universe? - In the Marvel universe. 'Cause if not, we'll fucking leave. You feel me? - Who is this? - Italian representation in the Marvel universe is a mixed bag viewed by many fans and cultured or old critics as historically lacking in depth while Italian American characters like the Punisher, Frank Castle. - Oh, yeah, the Punisher. - Not bad. - He's awesome. Have you seen that show? - Oh, dude, yeah, people admire him a lot. You see, people are making Halloween costumes out of him. - He's awesome, man. He was in the walking dead originally. - He's a great. - Yeah. - Oh, he's a great actor. But what else did it say about the Italians? I wanted to read a little bit more of that. 'Cause that's a great question. Our iconic direct Italian nationality is often neglected at mobsters like Count Neferia, stereotypes, your occasional background characters. - Right, right. - There are very few major Italian or Italian-American superheroes. - You can see that? - Yeah. - You can't see. Or anyone in those words. - He's got it zoomed in pretty good. - That's probably a 56 font. - I don't know how I drive. - Damn, you were allowed to drive? - Yeah. - No, I don't. - I mean, like, that could be that side on the road. - I wouldn't let you drive a doberman home. - I haven't been in the accident and knock on whatever, God forbid. - Really? - Yeah, I drive a normal car, but now I drive a Tesla 'cause it drives for you. - Oh, it's so nice. - So like, if you wanna have some fun on the way home when it's already put on itself, drive it. (laughs) - But bro, if you put it in shelf time, you put your feet up like that, bro. - Do anything you want, man. - That's pretty legendary, bro. - I just like that. - I just like that. - Yeah. - Bro, I love how everything's a carnival ride to you, dude. You can be sitting in anything, you just like, "Wee, yeah, this is it, bro." - It's fast and healthy, man. - Holy shit, what do you fucking 90 years old there, bro, that I didn't even look like you, dude. - 90? - What is this, AIGE, dude? - Yeah. - What if one after the use? That's crazy. - It's a shock GPT. - Bro, bro, you need to shock your stem cells, bro. Your shit is, bro, this isn't fucking real. What are we doing here? This shit is, what are you driving through? A Rutgers pepper alley, dude? Where are you from? - Something in the random fucking knot. - Are you sure, dude, this looks like one of the night scenes in breath of the wild. It looks like you're driving through. Where are you fucking driving through right there? It's not even real. - The game, breath of the wild, the game. - Yeah. - You play that? - Yeah, play that. - Holy shit. - I like that game. I didn't like the second one that they made. - They're the kingdom. - Yeah, it just was too much. - They didn't play it. - We had to put rims on the fricking. They wanted you to put-- - You had to build shit. I know, that was a really good game, though. - Oh, they were great games. But you had to put rims on the fucking, ah. - I know what you're talking about. - Like the boat or whatever, like the, you had to-- - Yes, yeah, the craft, like-- - Yeah, yeah. - It's like that. - They wanted you to buy rims in this shit. I'm like, this shit's getting a little too urban for me. - I love video games so much, man. - That's great. - I think part of me, like the lore, is from cartoon, the video games. Why I'm so sociable. 'Cause I love colorful things that, like, things that move, I like animation, I love animation. You ever see that Spiderverse movie? - There's a new one that just came out. There's a new Spider-Man that just came out. - I know, I know. - My friend's going to see it today. She'll trip out without even doing anything. It just makes you go crazy. - Oh, yeah. - I got a what? I didn't even see it at Spiderverse. - Dude, it's unreal. For my favorite movies. - Yeah, dude, we just got to learn more about the lore. 'Cause there was all kind of stuff. I heard that you were not even conceived you just spawned out of the chimney of like a bouquet de beppe or something. I've heard a lot of crazy-- - But it's on shock-a-peady. Where's the blindest? - I've just heard this stuff, dude. I heard that they just found you, like, you were just in a bassinet in one of those dishwashin' like things at a macaroni grill. They just found you in there. - I mean, at this point, I might have been dropped off by a frickin' UFO, growing up. - Yeah, dude, I'll like that. - Who knows? - There's just a lot of good work. But that's the best is the lore, bro. He's just finding out how it started, you know? - Yeah. - 'Cause yeah, there's all kinds of stuff. - There's a lot of crazy lore. - Yeah, you weren't even born. You just climbed out of an ant hill in Sicily or whatever. You know, there's all kind of like crazy rumours out there, you know? - I've never been in Italy. - You haven't? - Never been in Italy? - I've never not thought of a country. - No way, dude. - 'Cause my mom had a bad equilibrium, so she doesn't fly anywhere. - Like, man up, this man. - Look at this. Ricken. - Wow. - Ricken, what would you call that, super hero name? - This guy? - But that doesn't even look like you, does it? - No, I know that picture. - So, but yeah, so take me back to, let's go back a little, right? Take me back to when the shark o'clock was at zero, right? - Like when I was born? - Yeah. - Okay, I was born April 1999. - I heard you stayed in the incubator for like 40 seconds, you were like, I'm out. - You know, like the hand solo freezer, they had me in that, 'cause I was too hot when I came out, and they got struck by lightning when I came out, put me in a cool way now and that. So I was frozen like this. - Yeah. - Of the baby. - Bro, that's perfect, dude. - You know, in the past, I felt like I was just too hesitant to invest. I always was just kind of holding my money and going to work. You know, and I was like, well, I'll put it in next week or let me do some research and then, but then a week would turn into a month in a year. And, you know, that's how it was. Yes, so take me to when the shot clock was zero. Take me there. - I don't know my earliest memory, but I know like kindergarten, I was looking at paper like this. And they called my parents to school. They're like, "Your son can't see shit." (laughs) He's looking at the paper like it's like a playboy. - Oh damn, bro. But you think you were seeing anything or you think you thought there was something on it and you just didn't know? - No, no, I couldn't see. So now- - Oh damn, nothing yet. - I have a big class. I didn't bring them. I should have brought them. And they're like, they had to test my eyesight and see like what was going on. And- - Could you see anything? - I just, it was bad. It was blurry. - Like a worm or something 'cause worms can't even see. Can a worm see look that up? - A worm? - Yeah. - A worm. - You know what I'm saying, how much could you see? - I mean, I could see. I just can't see little things. - Okay. - Yeah. - So you can't see the haters then. - I was born with like a really, really rare condition, which is why I can't see or hear that good. You want me to say what it is? - Yeah, is it all right? - Kenny, like from South Park Kenny. Kenny Kaffee syndrome. - Kenny Kaffee? - Kenny Kaffee syndrome. It's so rare. - I thought he fucking played for the meds. Kenny Kaffee. - Kaffee. - It sounds like a freaking rap artist. - Yeah, he's okay. - Yo, Kenny Kaffee's rap for the new mixtape next week. - It sounds like a rap artist out of Buffalo, dude. - Dude, the doctors, they don't even know what I have. Like it's just so- - Of course they don't. Dude, like he's got Kenny Kaffee, you know? - Yeah, it's got Kenny Kaffee. - Yeah, they just name and fucking. He's like, he's got Benioch Beyond. He fucking, you know, arms or whatever. Fucking does name and shit from the past, you know? - Oh my God, man. - Wow, Kenny Kaffee syndrome is classified as primary bone dysplasia. Oh, dysplasia, dude. My buddy's Australian shepherd has that. - It's a growth hormone deficiency. That's what I have. - That's a good thing, huh? It's, sometimes it can be in your hips too, I think. Meaning it is a disorder of how bones form and grow. - Yeah, I don't produce growth hormone. 'Cause I have an underdeveloped pituitary glen. And I don't produce calcium. So I gotta take all different, like I have to take injections for that. And I have to take pills or else I'll have a seizure and fucking die, which is what almost happened when I was seven or eight. - When did they know you had to have- - When I was born. - When I was born. 'Cause when I'm born, people will have it. - How they tell how they get you to admit it. - 'Cause I don't think you're a snitch. - I'm a big. - What happened? - I was an oversized baby. I was like freaking eight to 10 pounds. And people that have my condition are big babies. And their eyes look a little bit weirder. But I was- - So how the gate they knew you had? - Well, they knew. I mean, I don't know, they didn't know. They probably diagnosed me with it from different things. - 'Cause you probably didn't admit you had it, dude. - 'Cause I had a seizure. That's what happened. I had a seizure when I was like one or two years old. And then when I was seven or eight- - So that was the first, that was the actual J-Shaw. - Fuck. - Fuck. - Well, I do that. - It's dark. - That bad. - But hey, out of dark comes light. - Yes. - Yes, sir. - Let's go, amen, brother. - Amen. - But when I was seven, I was sick. Like really sick. And I was throwing up all my medication. - Oh. - And that night, I used to watch movies with my mom and fall asleep. And I slept in her room that night. And thank God, I think that I would have died. I legitimately would have died. - Oh. [BLANK_AUDIO] had a seizure and I woke up in the hospital but when I was having a seizure she like I was like you know shaking and she caught me and called me ambulance called my neighbor and I woke up in the hospital like what happened she's like you had a seizure. Oh and that was when we had to talk about you know better medication and making sure that I don't miss because that was sick like I was very sick and I was throwing up and my doctor was like help me find. Yeah he just had a bad record. Yeah well he was dying then that's okay. Yeah he just been yeah. Don't put it any more gravy in his bottle or whatever. Exactly. God that's crazy dude. Man thank you Debbie right. Thank you Debbie. Thank you Debbie for you. Mama shock for being there man. Wow. Crazy right. A mother's love that she just wanted you there with her that night. That's pretty special man. I cracked my skull open two times. With what? My head. I fell off a stage. Oh I think you know with something like some crazy guy whatever. Like a lightning bolt. Yeah like look I'm a pinion and just fucking hit yourself. Oh watch. Yeah yeah yeah like a Rolex and slamming on my head. Yeah. Oh what the fuck. I was on a stage playing a game on a Christmas party. Wait what happens to take me and how you break it wait wait what's what happened? Well one more I fell down the stairs of the kid and then two I fell off of a stage I was sitting like backwards like this and we were playing like a little basketball game where you flick it and it's fruits and a thing. I must have flick too hard and I fucking fell back. I cracked my skull but it was bad dude. Still remember that maybe we were like you ever have those those moments of pain where you could still feeling today. Oh bro. I could still feel my head hitting that that tile man. Yeah I was jumping around on something I was a kid. I jumped and this corner of my head hit something broke it open and sometimes I can still feel it a little bit. And I have a weird shaped head I don't know if you noticed it. So you could put your finger there. Let me see. A lot of people online say at the headset. Let me touch the word. Let me do more time. Is that it? Wow that's cool. Yeah that's a shock button. The shock button. Yeah. Don't press this. It's like you should give one of those things like the top of a ladder. It's like don't not a step or whatever. Yeah that's it that's my head. Damn shock. So what do you have to do? Do you get that filled in or whatever? My head. Yeah like what do you do? Do you put like a hardener in there or something like how do you get it to or you got to protect that spot at all costs. No just just there. I mean I wish I could drizzle it up a little bit. But it's exposed though a little. Is it? No I mean you can't see it but if you feel around. Yeah. I feel like you can find that one kind of entry point. You know I'm talking about yeah like I was saying like I don't want to you don't say it like I think I could put a quarter right there. I would sit there. Yeah I would go like this one this one to move. Oh that's good huh right. Yeah let's go. Shock city dude. So but um and then how does your hearing get bad? So throwing through like great school middle school like I had to get like large textbooks that had to give a little little step schools to put my phenom and they would still they would dangle they still frickin dangle and uh my round. Your legs seem long to me man. Yeah my neck's long. Bro your neck is just your head's leg. Exactly and I kept saying what and I couldn't hear very good and me and I take an audiologist test and how did you know you couldn't hear very good. I remember just saying what a lot and I couldn't I wasn't getting good notes in class because I was missing a lot. It's like what did you say? Oh it was it was great. I remember the first time I got hearing aids and they put them in I cried. Oh. Because I was like man I never. I never heard shit like this you know. Oh really you could hear stuff. Yeah different frequency different like you know a hi-hat in a in a music little timble. I not heard that like birch chirping and shit. Uh uh and you'd never known the so you you'd never really conceptualize yeah because how would you like I've heard them but I forgot what they sounded like because they got a lot of you. Even like music like I was so unclear and now I want to put a headphone on like it's better. I can't wear AirPods because if I take these out we should do a hearing exam right now. Yeah can I put can I put one in? What is that? Oh yeah sorry can I put one in? It's nothing to fall on your ear. Be careful. I know what it's a fall on your ear. Oh you got these little. That's the the right one. Okay. That's the right one. That's these little black olives homey. The little sound can only. Let's put it up to your ear. Can you hear me? Is it in? Yeah. Can you hear louder? Yeah to right? Bro I can hear you. Is it like a lot louder? I'm hearing I'm getting a lot of reverb so I'm getting some other shit too. I think it's some Chris Brown is coming in. Could you hear Alan Iverson? I'm getting uh yeah I can hear Alan Iverson saying you're late for dinner. He's pissed at you. Could you hear could you hear the alien then track? I can hear Mike Piazza. He's complaining about something where he's denying something. A thunderstorm. I can hear a thunderstorm. I can hear that movie frequency playing um what else? Oh I can hear about 75 trucks. Okay. Do you hear the parrots? Shocker Clare? I can hear them. They're all there dude. They're they are they just showing off. You summon them. Pro you are not of this world, Jay Shock. I'm not on this world. You know what you said? Oh yeah you can't hear me. Sorry. I thought you were messing with me. You broke put it in and I'll tell you something. What the fuck is going on dude? Okay dude. First of all you need you have you're picking up like 70 different houses around here. Like I'm picking up planets. Oh I can hear somebody putting in their uh paramount plus pass word like this shit in there. I couldn't even hear it dude. I just heard you got two text messages from Lacey you didn't reply to. I heard like 70 things all at once bro. It's too much dude. Bro that was a lot bro. You know the best thing though? I when I take them out I can't hear anything. So when I go to sleep I just crash. I don't hear alarms. Matter of fact coming here I was missed a flight because so when I when I slept. Dude what do you mean with the flight? Just hire 50 Eagles. You gooner. I know right to take me. I slept on a pillow like on a couch. The whole week I was at in Cali and the pillow was here and the foam was here. I didn't hear the alarm. I slept through it. I slept through it Mr. Vaughan and I almost didn't come. Mr. Vaughan am I somebody step there. Theo. Theo. Theo. Thanks. It's okay. I accept Mr. Vaughan. It just hurts me. I missed the Uber. I didn't hear him knocking on the door. I wake up and I'm like you got to call him the Uber. We're not going to make it. I missed the alarm. I slept right through because I can't hear shit. But how good do you sleep brother? Excellent. Oh. But not really though. I don't get sleep. I can't sleep all night till like 5 am 5 30. What do you do? What do you mean? Why? Oh I stream till like one or two and then I'm just editing or coming up with new content ideas and just studying like work. Other people's work and trying to make my own thing you know. Dude you're the best man. It's over you. Thanks bro. Mr. Theo. Hey Mr. Shock. Mr. Shock. Yeah. What was um so the hearing aids yeah yeah dude that's fascinating. I never got to I never got to hear him before. Did it make you feel any type of way like was it hard to develop like um pause like did it affect how you felt about yourself some of that stuff or no like how I felt yeah but other people yeah just like did it affect like how you felt about yourself like the fact you had ever hearing it was so I used to wear the over the ear once and that was like pretty obvious like when I was I had them when I had a girlfriend and we would when when we make out it would just be like like it would sound like this and we're getting like we're getting down a bit the thing. She's like uploading me some weight. I'm uploading Nana. I'm like take them out. I couldn't even hear this girl moan. We're like what I you know it was like what I was like she was moaned and I was like one more time. She hit the up you know I'm like one more time. You know. Shock a clock. Oh yeah I know I felt a little bit uncomfortable for a while wearing them but I got used to it you know yeah the more mature and everything. I'll tell you a crazy story. Yeah I played rugby in college. What? Where did you go to school online? How the fuck did you play rugby in college bro? I swear to god. Look it up. Look it up. Maloy University. You're not gonna find it. Tell my Instagram. You're not gonna find it too. Instagram will weigh down. You'll see a picture around me. Um I play the number 15 spot fucking and it was all me on the end. I'm going to the alumni game. The first game he played and I won my over the ear hearing aid. Look at idiot. Theo I rocked this kid so hard that I poked I poked an ear in my ear drum. You booked a hole in your ear. You booked a hole in your ear drum? And yes, with the hearing aid. I decked them and the hearing aid pushed in and it spoke the hole. I was able, because I vaped at the time. I was able to blow smoke out of my ear. No way. I have a clip. Yeah, I have a clip of me and it was come out of my ear. Oh, dude, in Syracuse, New York, that's a mating call blowing vape smoke. I don't want any ear holes. Where in Syracuse? Oh my God. That's a fucking mating call. I know. I know. I played a lot of different sports. Wait, you found it? You see that? Bro, that's fucking nothing. Bro, that's how you hail a taxi in Norfolk, Virginia. Bro, it's blowing a little vape smoke. It's like a time Mr. Tank engine. I love that. That'll be gotta get a pair, man. Bro, let me tell you this. As a gift, can we let me get you one? Gotta be green. Bro, I think they only come like that. And you can only have a little more, okay? I think I'm feeling it, Mr. Krabs. I feel like we've done a good job so far. Do you guys feel like that? It's been really cool. Yeah. It's been fun. And it's been awesome and it's been informative, man. And I think the best thing, man, about our conversation so far, is I think I get a real feel for who you are as a person. I don't know. It's just cool, man. We haven't gotten into like the how I got into like content more. We're gonna get that. That's exactly what we're gonna have. We're about to head in a streamer you. We're gonna start to start in the content. But yeah, man, I just think you start to get a feeling of who somebody is. And I think it just makes me feel excited that there's people in the world who still feel or still just trying to be themselves, you know? Right. And I think we're all just trying to be ourselves. Yes. Oh, dude, I have to say about this. I can't before you move on. Shout out to my friend. His name is Solomon Williams. He is a rugby player and he played on Cal rugby. He won the national player of the year. I just want to bring a picture of him up. This, this, their whole family is great. Definitely not better than me. Well, Solomon, you heard him, bro. He's challenged you. No, no, he's right there in the middle. He's the other one. Jesus. Yeah. He's that one. That guy? Yeah. So, and if you just just seen that picture of those guys, you might not have picked him out of those guys. But he played rugby. Oh, dude, he's a num one player in the country last year. We got that jawline of a rugby player. Oh, one of the best guys. Yeah. That's that guy's one of the best. Shout out to him. Shout out to Cal rugby, fair play to the boys. Oh, yeah. But anyway, you told me that dude and he popped into my head, bro. It's funny. Oh, and just before we move on, you really played rugby? Yes, I did. And did you guys practice and train and everything? So I tried practicing. I couldn't even run a half a mile. What? We had to go like run to defend the Mac. I would be tripping and falling like my stamina is terrible. You ever see me run? I'm like, I saw you streaming you. I'm here in the chair. All right. Let me let me see it again. Hold on. I don't know if it's duck. All right. Try one more time, give you one more time for me. Just I want to make sure we got this. Huh? Let me start back from over there because I feel kind of weird saying about the ducking, but I don't know if I, all right. I feel it's like a, like a dad that had like a one more time. Sorry. I think I can't remember good. That's okay. Oh, there's a camera there. That one. You look like somebody that's like left something somewhere. Every time you run, it looks like somebody that left something somewhere and they're going to get it. Is that camera good? I don't know. That's like a pick at it. Yeah. But yeah, I can't run. Well, then how do you play rugby then? I ran. Yeah. What is the way you figured it out? I just, I could hit people hard. No, I got it. Oh, dude. Yeah. Yeah. Jack shot. Oh, dude, bro. If I could, if I could jerk off with those arms, bro, I wouldn't leave the house, dude, spring and shit. What are we even talking about? Sorry, dude. You're, you're a vage, right? Oh, great. We're good. There in here. We're just a couple of Italian guys. We're just a couple of out-of-work Italians. I don't know. I wasn't, I'm athletic, but like it's, it's a lot of, um, it takes a lot of energy for me now. Like we walked here and asked for a round. I was dying. Yeah. You know, it can be a lot. I'm like this. What did you, um, but what was y'all's team name that the team name you played with? The Malai rugby lion's, Malai lions. Oh, yeah, the lions. That's good. Yeah. Brisbane Lions. I was a fan of theirs, but they're, uh, a stringing football. But, um, all right. So if you could go back in time, is there a sport that now in looking back strategically based on you and your abilities, you think you would have been great at if you'd applied yourself? Is there one? I think basketball. I probably had the best shot because I was really going to shoot in threes, um, couple of clips of me playing basketball. I dream of you, but I love basketball football is too small for baseball. Baseball is another one though. Like little league. Like that's shit, man. Oh, dude, your strike zone is the size of a Zen can. These? No, your strike zone, probably the size of a damn Zen. Yeah, right. Yeah. Hit, hit, hit fingers right there, man. Oh, dude, they hit you to walk every, I walked a lot. Oh, yeah. But I also hit a couple, a couple of them. I mean, I got my first double and my dad missed it because he was driving the fire engine clean. So my mom saw it now like a good moment. I used to pitch a little bit too. Did you? Gone. I can see it. I could throw a football far, baseball far. Probably basketball, though. Because I liked it. Yeah. I was on my high school team. You were? Yes, pictures. I mean, we could find them. I didn't get it. We got to bring those up. We do our research, but we don't try to make it too much. Like, you know, I scored a score. I think 13 points the whole season or 19. That's good. My dad, my uncle's like, you know, that's how much people get in a game. It's like top five score. Yeah. Yeah. The team sucks. Dude, yeah, the freaking team sucks. What was the team called? The Gales. Oh, good. The Gales, dude. I mean, that is. It's a breeze. I think there you go right there. What do you play in rugby? That's rugby, man. Let's go. No cap. Jay shocked. That's before I had my jaw surgery. So look out different. I look. Dude, yeah, you did look different. What was it about? What was the jaw surgery? When did that come in? That came in. That kid behind me. The lightweight. Obviously that kid looking at him is fucking. We got to do like, what's the, what's the call in a, in a, in a frat where you like horse around something with an a hazing or whatever? Yeah, hazing. So we had to do that. Like a warm-up, like get into the brotherhood. And we did like drinking challenges. Yeah. Then we just handed to the kid behind me because they didn't like him. No, felt so bad. This kid couldn't drink either. He couldn't have to have to have a beer. He would get drunk and he would like pass out. We got him messed up. He looks like he'll drink half your nuts in the honest with you. But I don't know him, bro. And also blessings, dude. We can't be roast in this fucking kid. We don't even know him. I'm sorry. Don't, don't say a thing. You don't know a name. I'm so sorry. You brought him up, dude. First of all, bro, why didn't your parents put you in the sun a little bit? They got you fucking out of here looking like a marshmallow that fucking plays soccer, dude. They got you out here looking. Like a green. Bro, you look like a white chama call it, dude. You look like a fucking pelican. Bro, yeah, you look like a walking. You look like a egg that the fucking got it. That's doing his own thing for the day or whatever, bro. I look like a like a gas mumble. Where are we talking about, dude? Like one of those cartoon gas bubbles. Oh, yeah, definitely, dude. Damn. Like a little fart. Oh, yeah. You look like a fucking. Yeah. You look like a fart from Europe, dude. You look like something somebody would throw and a dog would bring back, bro. But a strong dog, you know what I'm saying? Not little fucking. You know, straight flaming me. Sorry, bro. I'm joking. I'm joking, bro. That is so funny. I'm joking, bro. And look at the guy behind you trying to be black. He just put a bunch of dirt on his legs. That's bullshit. I hate him when dudes do that. I hate that, dude. That guy's okay. And then you even were like the black sleeves. Like, look, I'm black. That guy's not even black, dude. Bro, how could three dudes be three different colors and all live in the same country, too? Oh, my God, bro. Oh, my God. This is crazy. And this is FIFA, dude. This is the problem we're having since they expanded the tournament and let more teams in. Look at my jawline. How bad it is. I thought the jawline's solid, bro. Yeah, it's before my surgery. What they do? They broke my top and bottom jaw and realigned it. Jesus Christ. Who wore it? I'm a J-Shock jaw surgery. It'll come up. Who were they? Do you get their license plate? No. The doctor did it. Were you having trouble feeding or whatever? Feeding? Or eating or whatever? Feeding. I don't know what you're doing. Oh, at this point, everything. This is the new and one. You got to go to the old one. What is going on, J-Shock? I had to have corrective jaw surgery because of my calcium deficiency. And they had to start my, could I have all baby teeth? Either all you want to show you? Yeah, let me see a couple of them. Oh, wow, baby shark. It's like a dinosaur. Those are worth money though, the baby ones, right? Mm-hmm. You dad nibble. So it's on YouTube, um, this J-Shock 999 jaw surgery on YouTube, but anyway, I had to get new teeth, so in order to get new teeth, they had to start by reallining my jaw. So I was out of work and school for like three or four months because I, they blew up my jaw like I had to break my top and bottom. I looked like a freaking Kardashian model, like you're gonna see the picture. It's crazy. It was the most pain I've ever been through. I couldn't even do this. My mom had a femy soup and water through a syringe, and they put me on like, like, they put me on the shock, oh, clock, I had a bottle of shock, oh, clock, no, it was bad. Did you have one of those feeding bottles or whatever? No, I, I don't know if I could talk about what I was on, like prescribed. Oh, you're on, you're on medication. It's strong. Was it scary? No. It was awesome. For a little bit. Oh, yeah. But it's dangerous. That's what we know. It can't be doing that shit. Oh, yeah. But Elvin Ring came out around the time I was on the shock, oh, clock, potion. Mm-hmm. That's fine. Elevator Ring? Oh, the Ring camera? No, Elvin Ring. Eldom Ring the game. The game. That. And it just like, it was crazy, man. Like, it took away the pain, but it was like, it was crazy. Yeah. I wonder what games go best with pills or whatever. Mm-hmm. I wonder what games go best with pills. I don't even know anything that is a video game, probably. You got to pull up that picture, though. I have it. You want me to show you? Yeah. Oh, my God, brother, that looks like you in sketch. This is really you, dude. That's me. There it is. There it is. Look at it. Look at it. Look how swollen I am. Oh, yeah. You look like you're saving something for winter. That's crazy, dude. There's like a screen shot or a B-roll or overlay on, like, the pictures. Oh, look at you been drinking breast milk for 40 years, dude. I see you look like-- Fucking and mucking. Look at this. Oh, fuck. Look at you. Yeah. Look at you sucking on a tit off of the L.I.E. dude. In the Tesla. Like this. Yeah, bro. You look like who fucking? Yeah, got a tough hit on some Jersey tit right over there. Some fucking turnpike, nipple. That's what got hold of you, brother. The L.I.E. nipples. Oh, look at you. We're trying to give a-- Damn, look at you. We're trying to slurp on something in bumper to bumper traffic right there, brother. That's a tough look, dude. Oh, no. Isn't that crazy? It is, dude. God, you've been through so much, man. I've been through so much, the-- Oh. Like real talk. I know. I'm just your resiliency man in your attitude, your ability to have a positive attitude. It's so funny, man. I think seeing you today is like-- and I hate to even make this about myself, but it's just what I needed. I needed to be reminded of like that, like everybody is dealing with stuff. We're all going through things that we got this, right? And the way to do it is just to keep positive, you know? I've been through some more psychological shit. I don't know how deep you want me to get into with, but could we talk? Talk about that stuff? Yeah. What was one of the tougher times that you dealt with, do you feel like when it comes to some of your mental health and emotional health, that sort of thing? And we could talk about, like, weed. Yeah. We can. Yeah. So I used to smoke a lot of weed when I was younger, like high school college or college mainly. And I was addicted to the pen, called the penjamin. I had a Rick and Morty pen. Penjamin button, they called you, I bet. Oh, my God, yeah. And I was in Cape Cod, my homeland, right, where I was born, and I was drinking, I was smoking, not getting sleep, I was sleep deprived, and I think I'm a mixture of everything. And then I did it so much that I went into psychosis from hitting that pen for over a month. And I was, it was bad. I was checking in a multiple hospital. I was in a psych ward for over a month. And while I was, how I like, why is that happening? Did you get 5150 or whatever? Did you get 5150? Did it's called or something? 51. You're in a psych ward going? Oh, sorry. And before I got there, I was, I was working at Home Depot, my first, like, real job. And I felt like people were following me, like, I was bringing up the same four customers all day. I was hearing voices in my head. And then I get my car and I, I'm like, dad, like, people are following me. Like I would say, like, I would say a red car, like, I want a red car, like a red car would drive by. It was only like, we're little coincidence that were happening, but that's what happened when you were in psychosis. Like, these coincidences happened. It just seemed so real. So I ended up getting home. I thought my dad was recording me. We had like a fucking fist fight. Like it was bad, dude, but they, you can choose Tim of recording you. No. I thought the camera was recording me. There weren't. I thought my whole life was being broadcasted. Where did you think that your dad was hiding the cameras? On his phone. Because every time he was on the phone, like, the camera, I looked like it was recording me. Oh, you thought I was recording you. Yeah. So I ran into my neighbor's house. Would you tell the neighbors you knock on the door? You just go, I said, my parents are trying to do some shit like, and they're like, oh, you're good. They're good. Trust me. Like, oh, no. I was playing GTA and in the game, there was like things happening in the game. Like, I was getting pulled over in the game. I thought like all this stuff was happening because of like what, like I did something wrong. It was so weird. Like, I can't even explain it. Um, was it scary, dude? Was it scary also? Yeah. It was really scary. They would tell me either you take the medicine or we check you into a psych ward. And the psych ward, I was in was all of the younger people. When I was there. Do you have a sport? Do you have like a volleyball team? Do you have a sports league or anything in there? No. Like a psych ward sports unit? Or, yeah, like a, um, no, they had a basketball court and I'll tell you, I was shooting full court shots. Like, it was like nothing because the drug thing had you on in the hospital. Bro. It was a limit. Never see limitless movie. It was like a pill and it, it unlocked all of my brain. Oh, bro. I was doing shit. I learned how to freestyle. I learned how to rap. Hey, hey. I learned how to do all this different stuff because of the medication. It was terrible. Sira toning is down, but these buckets are up. You feel me? That's all I'm saying, bro. That's crazy. So now while I'm there, like, it was all these different quenching is happening. There was a lot of weird people in there, like they had their own problems. In the psych ward, who was one of the wildest cats in there? I don't remember any name, really. We don't need a name. There was one dude. Uh-huh. That was some crazy people in there, man. I had this big African-American guy in my room. Black guy. Yeah. Big, big black guy in my room. And in the middle of the night, he woke me up, like hovering over me. Oh, yeah. You got any snacks? Really? I got some gummies in my chips in my bag and they'll get them, like, I need them. No. He said he needed them. I was like, holy shit. Probably smelled them. I'm like, if you're that big, dude, you can smell food better than we can. Yeah. Dude, there was so much shit that's happening in my life, and like, so the craziest part of all this is that, um, two things. One, when I was at home, Nippo, I worked with this kid, and he was training to become a doctor. And when I was in one of the hospital that I was in the minute, I saw him walking around the hospital. I'm like, dad, that's one of the guys that's following me. He works with me. He's following on me. And he's like, he's not. He's just a regular doctor. A couple of years later, I call him, like, no, did you ever work at this hospital at this time? He's like, that was me. You're lying. He's like, now you could rest easy. Was it really him? It was really him. So he worked at Home Depot and at the hospital. Yeah. Training. Training for one. What? What training would a doctor need at Home Depot really? He just had a side job, like, while he was going to school, he went there. Oh, got it. So now, dude, you ever have that, okay, go on. I'm sorry. I have a question about Home Depot, but. I'm going to tell you in a second, but the crazy thing about all this is the second thing, you know, logic, the rapper. He wrote a book, his name is Bobby Hall, but he wrote a book called Supermarket, and in the book, it's about him living like a double life, and he's going through psychosis and he's trying to, like, hide a killing that he did at the really great book, Supermarket. That book came out at the same time I was going through psychosis, so I thought I was the main character of the book that was being filmed live action in the hospital and around the world. I thought they were like doing a 24-hour live stream of me being a real character of that book. Jay Shock. I swear to God. Did you ever leave messages for yourself to find later, like Kamala Wright, myself, this? No. I wrote a whole notebook of it. I wrote a song that it, I wrote a little thing. Because were you trying to. Of the girls I liked? I remember I got a boner. Tell us about that boner. That boner, that was a nurse, and the time my body wasn't working right, my brain, nothing was working, but the stuff they were putting me on was making me feel different things. I remember one day, I was like, "Oh, I forgot what a boner felt like." And this girl came up to me. I mean, we were talking. I was risen the fuck out. I thought I was going to bang this nurse. Oh, it's hospital risk, dude. That thing was jumping. Oh. I said make sure. I'm talking to everyone. I just can't explain to you. You would have to be in my head to really know what it felt like, but. How did the psychosis come to an end? It just, they, my parents saved me. They really did. They got me out of there, they're like, "You can't give them any more medication." Because they try to keep you in that bill. Oh yeah! - You try to keep that time, I make money. - It's like the zoo, they want the animals. - Yeah. - Imagine you go to a zoo and there's no animals, or they're like, "Hey, this animal got better. We let him go." They're like, "What?" This animal's back happy with his family. You never see any of that. They're always like, "This animal, yeah, he's having if he's got bad lungs or whatever, we're keeping him or something." That's always the prognosis when you're at the zoo, dude. It's fucking bullshit. Or this animal, yeah, you know what I'm saying? We're doing physical therapy with him for like 11 years or whatever. - He's good now. - It's always a bullshit. - The hippopotamus can open the mouth now, he's good. The eagle could fly. But yeah, I got out and I just, I never smoke weed again. - Do you think that something about that, do you think that something about that psychosis, the idea of like seeing yourself outside of yourself? Did that lead you in a streaming? Like you don't talk about, because-- - Let me into being creative. I'll say that. I was always creative, but like it kind of, like it was like an epiphany almost. - How? - Well, I was doing music at the time. I produced music. So again, this is another example of how psychosis work. I thought I was a producer for Jay-Z. In the hospital, I was playing piano. And I thought they were recording when I was playing on the piano. I was sending it to Jay-Z. And like I was hearing it on the speakers. 'Cause everything, when you're in psychosis, you feel like everything is happening for you. So one of the guys, the music therapy guy, would come in and he would play music for us. And he would play the radio. And I would hear, I would hear like in the song in the lyrics, Jay Shock made a beat. Jay Shock is on the, like I would hear my name in the song, but it really wasn't there. - Got it. - It was just my mind tricking me. - Got it. - Fucking crazy dude. Crazy. But-- - So you made it through all of that? - I made it through all of that. And like where you said, like how it led to that, I produced music at the time. And I thought I was making hits. I was like, call my friend on the phone. I would remember every phone number that my friend had. He would have our cell phones. So I would remember all the names. And I thought for the show or whatever live broadcast was on, I thought I would have to remember the phone number for the thing. I thought I'd call it Riley Reed. I thought I'd call it like supermodels. - Riley, read the porn star? - Yeah, I thought I'd call it to the model star. - I got a phone call. And I'm like, who is this? And she's like, it's Riley. I'm like, what's up Riley, I'll be there later. And it was just a fucking random person. - Who was it? - There might have been no one on the phone. That's how crazy it was, Theo. - So what, so, Jesus Christ. - I know I'm getting deep. I know I'm getting all over the place, but all of it makes sense to me. And it happened. - Well, I know it happened, dude. But you're like fucking out there. You're hitchhiking through your own-- - I was shooting three like Alan Iverson. I was calling-- - Oh, dude, you know what's crazy is? The more you talk, the more it sounds. Like you might be Alan Iverson's son. - It could be, it couldn't be. - So I just got to know those. So you get out of the hospital. Things start to get different. Oh wait, oh, one thing, before we, what is something about home people that people do not know, dude? 'Cause I'll tell you this, we used to go in that section. My friends now would get high and we'd go in that section where the doors are. - Yes, all the doors, yes. - Dude, we go in the-- - Millwork. - What's it called? - Millwork. - Yeah, we go in the Millwork section, dude. And we'll wait till somebody goes stay in my own the doors and we would knock on it, dude. - That's funny, shit. What is something to know about home people? - You just fucking stay in there, dude. - This shitty company, it's all you gotta know. - Do you think it is? - For them to fire someone that got assaulted for defending themselves, you're a shitty company. - That seems like typical, I mean, that's typical home depot, I feel like. In Atlanta, that feels like every day home depot. - That's the headquarters. - Yeah, of course. - And we tried defending my case and all that. And-- - Did they set a lot of court? - No, we didn't do any court stuff. What happened with I worked there for four years, I worked my way up to like a man in their position, opened and clothed in the store. How was the king there, and I think? - And you have to wear all that stuff, the belt and all? - The apron and all, tape measure. - Was it heavy or not, the stuff you had to carry around? - No, it wasn't heavy. I don't walkie talkie, you know. - Really? - It's crazy. - I like walkie talkie. - Cool. - Chocolate balls, chocolate balls. - Yeah, but it was-- - It was crazy. - I want to build a parakeet, huh? - Yeah. - Put a little parrot in the apron, puffs out. Yeah, no, it was crazy, because like, when I got fired, nobody like defended me, and they all just dropped me. All the manager, all my friend, like, they kind of left me for dead, you know? - But you didn't leave yourself for dead, man. - No, sir. - You know? Tell me about how you ended up-- I know you also ended up working with the US Postal System. - I did, they fired me too. - Really? - Well, the first thing I fired from, because this guy attacked me, and I defended myself. - At Homsipo. - It was, that was it. - I just, I know that I've heard that story, but that's what happened there. You gotta attack you to finish yourself. So I know that that's where he's out there. - It wasn't even like, it wasn't like this. It was just like, he comes in, I thought I'm clocking out, and he knocked the window out of me. At the time, I had pneumonia, so my ribs were bruised, and I just got out of the hospital, and he made me hit me so hard. So I slapped him back, like that. I was like, I could do whatever I wanted, till I'm older than you. - I'm like, no, you can't. - Giving that fucking, giving that wrist, ravioli, brother, (laughs) - For deli smash. - Yeah. (laughs) - You want extra fucking ham, man? - On the post office, how to get on the job? My dad was like, you gotta get it, you gotta get it up. I know what I work for the post office. - Why? What do you have against them? - I didn't, it's not what I wanted to do. I wanted to make music at the time. I wanted to do it with make music. - Okay. - With music producer. Yeah, that's my passion, my dream. - Okay, but you, so you, how do you, how do you even audition to be work at the post office? - Oh, you have to take a test online. What do you think you're gonna, like, get them out mail? - I don't know, I guess it. I guess I would have at least-- - Go around with that bicycle. - Just a car. - At least run from a dog. - You're gonna pass the road test, which was hard, 'cause I couldn't even reach the pedal, so-- - In the mail truck? - No, it's, I had two pillows. You know, I used to have dreams where I, where I wouldn't be able to reach a car pedal. And when I finally worked for the post office, I was like, these are what the dreams are about. - For sure. - I didn't reach the pedals. Path of test, I was on probation for 30 days. I had an Asian man named Chen train me. And he's like, you're terrible. You're horrible. You're gonna be terrible, mama. He hated me, but he loved me. I was like, he was a Navy SEAL. And he trained me to, like, mail out. I had to have my magazines here, my letters here. He had to balance this shit. He had to have a bag. Whatever you had, it wasn't his favorite, it was called your, I don't know, your day ones or something. Whatever they're called, I don't remember what they're called. And you have to fill parcels, like packages, if you have a stop, then you have to put all your magazines or call your flats, and then you got your letters. So the halt, and they're in rubber bands. So if you, if you miss a rubber band, 'cause everything is in order, that shit drops. I would drop the mail like crazy. I remember one time I went to the back of the mail truck to organize it, and I'm like, I gotta pee. And I had a cup, I'd run me, I'd fucking piss the whole of the mail. No, you did? Dude, what the heck? What were you, what you, what you fucking just pee on the mail? I felt so bad, but I'm like, I couldn't control it. I just, I don't pee, I mean, I-- - Go to a park. - We had a mail truck. There was no park, I was on a job. - Yeah, just a park everywhere. - There was me on the mail, everywhere. - Oh, the package is on the mail. Someone got a letter with yellow shit that day, man. - Jay Shock, you're not supposed to be peeing on people's mail. It's a federal offense. - What the heck? - What do you mean you did it by accident? - It's spilled, but if you got your wean around, bro, that's, you know what I'm saying? - I'm not working with much, so I couldn't control it. - If it's still, dude. - So they fired me, because they said, not the kind of that, not the kind of that. - What they fired you for? They didn't open up the mail truck and just see piss everywhere, but because they said, you're hearing and mission are gonna prohibit how you do this job and we can't have someone like you. - Fuck them, dude. Nobody even cares if they get the mail anyway. Dude, we had a guy that went in Tucson. We had a guy who had, sometimes he would deliver the mail at like 11, 30 at night. He'd just run out and throw it in the fucking yard and scream at his fucking kid in front of our house and then drive off. He would floor it. We had a guy who souped up his mail card. He probably put like a-- He probably put an F-350 engine in there, or something in that bitch with the hum, bro. - Oh my God. - But so you got laid off the mail? How long were you in the United Postal Service? - Three months. - Oh, thank you. - I got close. I started to win through two, so I was in the-- I was slipping on ice. Looking like Michael Jackson, the biggest moving on ice. - Looking like Kevin just going across that pond in home alone. - Yeah, yeah, literally. And it was hard, really hard. A lot of-- - What was the hardest thing about the mail that people don't know? What some people don't understand? - Just your relays and your routes. Like, you'll have blocks sometimes. Especially if you're going to walking route. You have to do a push car. You don't get a truck. That's the first route I ever did. So I got-- I was in Port Washington. And then like, you're not good here. I'm like, give me one more chance. Then they sent me to another town. And that town, the first route I did was a walking route. And I had to walk 200 blocks. - Yeah, that's a walking route. I had to push this thing with all mail and package. It was heavy. - Was it heavy? - Up and down this road. The route is supposed to take two hours. It took me nine. - But how would you even push it? Were you able to-- did you ever think about just tying it around your waist and pulling it behind you? Have you ever tried that? - No, you're pushing. You don't-- - Yeah, but dude, I just muck it along. - Yeah, he's mucking, trucking. I wouldn't eat and can't eat, really. - Would you ever just throw some of the mail out like it was just too ridiculous? - No, no. Gonna do that. That's a federal offense. - I'll piss on it. I'm throwing it out, dude. I'll decorate it. - I'll piss on it, but I won't throw it out. - All right, we gotta get down. - While I was doing all this, I was still doing social media like music. I was, I think I was doing four reviews like here and there in my car. And then I finally got that and then my dad like you gotta get another job. So I found this oil company, Petro oil company. I'm not gonna name the specific job I was at. - Okay, and they do oil? - They sell it oil. So I was the credit representative and I was making sure people get oil so they don't free through that. So if you didn't have money, you were gonna fucking freeze that night. And it was bad. It was sad, like a little old lady like, how do you need oil? I'm gonna clock. - Give me some oil. - I need oil in it. - It's chocolate. - It's freezing with like, I could picture her in her room freezing. And I'm sitting there. - But her hair even my bra is cold. - Yeah. - My tits are so cold. It's chocolate. - It was bad, man. But I was like a top salesman there. - Come over, bring over that little parrot weiner. - Chocolate. - Oh my god. - Sorry, this story's getting a little crazy, dude. - And what town was it called? - Port what? - Huh? - What town were you in? - What town? - Port Washington, where was it at? - No, the oil company? - Yeah. - I don't remember where it was. Woodbury. - But where's Zollin and New Jersey? - New York. - New York. - So now, I got some like crazy customers on the phone yelling at you all day. - See, it's selling oil. You have that selling oil by phone? - Yeah. - Oh my god. - Literally, you had to collect money. You had to collect thousands of dollars to come. - Oh, I believe you, but it's just, what the fuck are you getting involved in, dude? They just pulled out your teeth out and now they got you selling oil by phone. (laughs) - Yep, and shooting three in a cycle. - Let's go! - But I was doing four of you at the time, getting past 10,000, you know, growing my following in the, in the my, Miss Walmond. When I was training, one of my best friends, Charles, he's like, so what do you do for fun? And I'm like, oh, I have a social media page where I do food reviews. And he was like, we were talking about fast food and I'm like, I gotta get back into that. He's like, what, eating fast food? And I'm like, no, do my food reviews. And he kind of like started me back up again. Like, I did like all those food reviews there. Like, it's kind of got me back into the rhythm I'm posting. So thank you to him. And I would be going my lunch breaks, order food, do mukbangs. - Oh, so you started muking like that? - Yeah, but that was at Home Depot too. I was doing it on all three jobs. I was producing music, selling meats, making music for artists, and then eating food. The first ever video I did was prime, the drink. - Yeah. - That's a real amount. - Can you bring it if you have a first video? - Oh, that's the first mukbang I ever did. - And so this is before Shaka clock and let's get to mukin. - Yes. - Yes, it is. Okay, great. Let's watch it. - Okay, first off, we got tropical punch. Pat, prime before, I love it. And let's give this one a go. We got a Home Depot hat on. - Dude. - Oh my God, really good. Just like a really good fruit punch. - I have no teeth in. - I have no teeth in the coconut water in it. - You don't need them. - I have no teeth. - Extremely nice. - Dude, who needs it? That stuff probably strips your name anyway. That's just a rumor. - Okay, next up, we got my moon. Got a shake, oh, we shake it, Ellie's spank it. Let's try it. - I love the guy I like this flavor. - Oh, God, there's some bad ones out there. - Dude, that's awesome, bro. - But also, what you don't know is, I did food reviews with no teeth. And everyone made this meme up, gumming it down. 'Cause when you take the teeth out, I have no teeth. They said they made up gumming it down. So I did food reviews for over a year, with no teeth. - Well, that's-- - Who else is doing that? - Oh, that's our healthcare system. (laughing) What do you even expect? Half of America's doing that now, dude. But here's my question for you is, do you think it's easier to do a food review with or without teeth? Does one matter more than the other? - Well, now I have all these fake teeth. And I say, when I think the teeth out, I get chewed easier. 'Cause when I'm chewing, this thing is like, method around, food getting behind it. - Yeah. - It's just a freaking nightmare. I'm eventually gonna get all new teeth for my doctors. I have like some of the best doctors, Dr. Kurtz, Dr. Rogerio, Dr. Schwartz. They're just great doctors. The Dr. Barisi, look really, they're great doctors. - Oh, Italians, huh? - Yeah, all Italian, I guess. And they know what they're doing. They're dealing with a lot of different equipment and money for the procedure. - Oh, shit, yeah, dude. Just put a fucking, get a good cow's own maker to put your fucking stuff it up. - Yeah, it gets them all just little shingles of the Lord for some of the nice baby ravioli's and put them in the air, brother, that's all it is. - So at that oil job, I started doing POV videos. - Okay. - And I would film my lunch breaks, my nine of fives, and the first one I ever did, there was this guy named Hub's Life. Shout out to Hub's Life and shout out to Knowing My Rillo. They were, they made this, you know, POV, right? POV, you end up on a POV, whatever. POV is four of you, so it gives you a perspective of what your life is like. So I saw this guy, Hub's Life, filming his nine of five and I'm like, I'm gonna try one. - Okay. - I did it fucking 10 million views. - Wow. So you just try to POV and you got 10 million views on it. - Well, how many views does this have? - That's you, Sean. - It just has like 15, 14 million views. Bro, that's-- - It might even have more now. But look, I would film my whole routine. - Oh, I like that jump at the end. - Yeah, oh, broke the internet. - Is that flooded? - Broken Earthquake. - Oh my gosh, you look at my friend's sister a little bit of this. - Isn't this relatable feel like it's cold? You don't want to be at work? You get an hour unpaid lunch break, unpaid. That's what made me so relatable with unpaid. - Oh. - Well, food tray, I was in Ellie, my car, Ellie. - Would you always eat in the front seat or somethings you'd eat in the back? - Always front. - Huh. - Well, I have a chain around my-- - Oh, the chain's great, but is there something weird about a guy eating in the back by himself? - Probably. - That's something-- - What do you know? - He gets okay to do it. - These blew up, I did so many-- I did so many leave that I was able to leave my job. - So you're telling me that you were able to-- So you did enough food reviews on your lunch break at work that you were able to quit your actual job? - Yeah, so I went in the work one day and I had to use a bathroom and I put myself in personal time. But I had to go into the bathroom. I really had to go. Like, I was not a stop. Something was effing up. And I said the-- - Why did you been eating you think you remember? - I don't remember when I ate. Probably some Italian food. - Yeah. - Too much ramyoli. - Like foreign shrimp or whatever? (laughs) - So I said the fact that I had to send an email to use the bathroom to extend my bathroom time is enough to make me quit. So I would plug in this calculator. How much I would need to leave? Like money wise? 'Cause I would go home and have a live stream eating. I would make like, you know, a hundred dollars or my salary for the week. So I called up my boy. I'm like, yo, I'm gonna quit. He'd like to do it. So I got a garbage bag. I came out of the bathroom. And I said, if I could find a box or something to put my stuff in, I'll leave. So this beautiful Spanish lady sitting out there with three big black hefty bags. I'm like, can I have one of those bags? I got all my shit, put it in there. And I left, and my manager called me back in. She's like, where you going? I'm like, I'm done. She's like, why do you decide something that says you left? She handed me a loose leaf. Thea, I signed it at the J-Shock. 'Cause I went in as your own. And I left the J-Shock. I get home, parents wanted to kill me. We're gonna kick you out, we're gonna do the job. - But when are you still living at home? - Yeah. - Yeah. - No, I'm out and about like, I don't, I'm never there. But I was, yeah, look, see, this is the main quenning. I filmed it. (laughing) - That's crazy. - But this is like a day after. - Right. - Like this is when I had to come back and drive off all my shit. - Fuck. - So take us on. How do you end up like? Dude, thanks so much for your time too. - Yes, sir, I'm proud of me. - Oh, you bat, man. This is awesome, dude. We're gonna have to keep in touch. - I'm gonna look you in the eyes for this one. - Hey. - No, no, look. - I like that, thank you, bro. No, no, look. I got the look back. - Yes, sir. - Do you, take us on, what is streamer U? And then how do you end up in, how do you audition for streamer U? Take us first up for our listeners that don't know what is streamer U? So there are seven million applicants, I believe, maybe more or less around there. There was in-person audition, then I didn't want to go to, and then there was online, where you sent me the video. I didn't want to go. - You sent me a video to what? - To get into the school. - And what is the school I'm just saying? - It's a school full of content creators and streamers. - Okay, got it. - Yeah. It's run by Kai Sanat and his team and it's just a really crazy opportunity that could change your life, a change mind. And you learn about, it's a little school. It was an Arkansas this year. And you learn different tactics on how to grow, how to get better equipment, how to learn about how to deal with the stress. There was all the different cleared. with a teacher, adapt, a lot of wig. Like there was all these cool teachers that are big content creators. And then you're surrounded by like 120 creators. So you're gonna cap a teary up. For example, when all streamers eat and lunch, and everyone's live streaming. - Oh, it seems crazy, bro. It seems like a bunch of people just trying to catch each other saying the inward is what it seems like. - Yeah, it's like all clip fun. But anyway, like I wasn't gonna apply, you know. Like I filmed a shitty video 'cause I didn't care. And my boy Jacob, my editor, one of my best friends was like, you got to apply. And you got to try. So I filmed a video two days before, followers day editing it. And then we pointed out some editing. An hour before application closed with my cameraman, my old cameraman, I fired him. - I saw that. - I fired him at streaming university. I don't wanna get in. - We're not gonna get in here. - But anyway. - We got in. - We're gonna send the audition video in. How long is the audition video? - How long was it? - Yeah. - A minute. - I'm gonna have. - Let's watch it right now. We'll watch it right here. (dramatic music) - Hello! - Hey! - What? - I'm so open. - I'm streaming! - I'm streaming. - I'm streaming. - I'm streaming. - Shout out, I gotta go, I gotta go. I gotta see his guy, I gotta see his fucking! It's shout out, go, go! (laughs) - Yeah, I'm supposed to. - Travis, take me to the best boost by all the island. - Yes, Mr. Shock, would you like me to invite Sophie? - Negative, let's teach her that normal way. - Hey, Dean, I'm James Shock, and if I'm accepted, you know I'm bringing pizza. Here's a few reasons why I should be accepted. Number one, I quit my job at this social media full-time. And since then, I've grown my page to over two million followers. And I'm not stopping. Oh, good. - Number two, I never give up. Growing up, I went through a lot medically, physically, emotionally, and a lot of people told me, I was never gonna be able to do what I wanted to do. And that's create content, you're too small. You don't have the right look. Well, guess what? I'm doing it right now. There's still more couple of years ago. I had to get a corrective jaw surgery. They had to break my top and bottom jaw to realign it so I could get a new teeth. I was doing full reviews with no teeth. I was coming down. - Ah, fuck. - After all that, I'm still mucking. And I'm gonna teach you guys how to muck. - That sauce was crazy. And number three, just like these slices, I offer variety. I do full reviews, daily gaming streams, and it helps dozens of businesses across the country. What's up, there's a line out the door. Thanks to you, Shock Squad. Hello, yes. Did that beat you heard throughout the whole video? I made that, too. - Shock Squad. - Right? And lastly, I want to bring food and streaming together, like no one ever has. I'm ready to shock the world. Are you? - Let's go. - Fuck out. - Cheers, bangin', right? - That's so perfect, bro. What a great video you made. And so, what advice would you give to people who want to make a video to submit for streamer you? - I'll have a good hook the first two to three seconds. Gotta be very engaging, gotta be something different. Gotta be something a little bit like relatable, a little bit sus, something that sticks out, and then you gotta have a good pacing. I like the flow of the video. Maybe you doze off for a little second, but I engage with you that whole video. I kept your attention. That's what's so important about content is you gotta remain retention. That's why when you're scrolling, these apps gotta keep you on your platform. The longer you look at a video, the more the Instagram or TikTok will push that video in the algorithm, 'cause they like to see eyes being on something for a longer, you know? So just, and me yourself, have fun with it. - What do you want people to take away from your content? - Just to be weird, you know? Just have fun, me yourself, shock the world, you know? And just do what you love, 'cause I feel like everyone is unique, and everyone's like, all you look different, you're different, you know? Why don't you look like me? Why don't you have facial hair? Why are you so small? I'm like, 'cause I'm unique. Everyone has a cool story to tell, and you should monetize your life, you know? 'Cause me making up in the morning, brushing my teeth can be different than you, you know? Me putting my shoes on, some people can put a shoe on, to no foot, at all, like me wearing different clothes, and even the more like, everyone has some kind of uniqueness to them, you know? Don't let your disability define you, use it as your ability to achieve greatness and shock the world. - Amen, bro. - Okay, that's real talk, like I've never let my disabilities get into my head to find me, I use them to my ability to achieve greatness. - Yeah. - Yeah, man, 'cause we're all we have, you know, our experiences are what we have, you know? Peter Manfredo Jr., maybe. He was a boxer. - I don't even know. Nobody really looks like me, you know? - Yeah, you're right. I mean, yeah, you're unique. - So it'd be hard. - Yeah, I'm trying to think, but you have to have a kid out there. That'd be a child of one of those people. - Yeah. - 'Cause you have to play you starting young. I don't know, maybe. Shave my nuts. - I'm gonna get it. - The jungle down there. - I mean, it's not a jungle, but I'll say this. There's been a little bit of-- - No, me. - Oh, there's been a little reforestation, probably. Yeah, I think they're probably, we probably need signs to know where the trails are. And there was like all these different activities and clubs, it was like a real school. It was crazy. It was really cool. - That's so cool. - And the fact that people like live stream in 24/7, people watch me sleep at night. - Yeah, and those people should be investigated. - Yeah. - You know, watching somebody else sleep. - Imagine I started like, cranking it. - Oh, yeah. - What if it's terrible? - If you were somebody like who's sleep, like. - Or sleep, or sleep, eat. - Or sleep jerk. - Or sleep, like, with another girl. If you're just somebody's masturbating and they're asleep, people do that all the time. Malko used to jerk off in his sleep and they had to tie jingle bells on his wrist.
