I just know I'm loud because I am loud. Yeah. Have you always been that way, you think, even since you were just a child? Um, I don't know. Do you remember a time when you weren't very loud? I was probably always loud. I respect that. I think I'm just feeling. I feel a little bit anxious today, I guess. Do you ever feel like that, Hannah? No. Not? You don't? I'm just worried. I think I'm just not ready for Easter, and I know Easter's coming. It's Easter. I know, but sometimes it just feels like a lot with, like, the parties and the egg hunt and. You don't have to have a party. I guess I don't have to have a party, but I don't want to be the guy that doesn't have one or whatever. Yeah. Do you. Like, do you. Have you always thrown, like, a birthday party? Yeah. Would you ever not throw one, you think? Mm-hmm. What about last year? You had a yes day. Oh, yeah, I had a yes day. What is a yes day? Okay. And have there been issues with the current pets? No. Nothing at all? No. Hmm. He just doesn't want another one. Do you think he's being a bit much? Yes. Okay. What's the pet you would go for? And be honest. A cat. Just a cat? Yep. You can get a cat in the woods. But we have a cat. Well, I want, like, a fatter cat. Fatter than the one we have? Yeah. Yeah. How fat is the cat you have? Just show me with your hands. Uh, probably this big. And how fat do you want? Like, the size of the chair. Oh, wow. Yeah. So you want a real big feline, huh? Yeah. And why? Do you just want to brush its hair? What do you even want to do with it? It's a cat. You play with it. Are you allowed to play with your cat outside? Or only inside? Um. Well, the cat doesn't really like the outside. And it'll probably fall in the pool. So. Oh, that's dangerous. Now, take a gander at some of these fat cats that we pulled up here. Yeah, that's the cat that I want. Oh, so you're thinking something big like that, huh? That thing's thick. Like a Garfield? Yeah. She loves Garfield. You do? Mm-hmm. Mm. Now, if you had to choose one of these fat, kind of fat ones or whatever, or some of them are overweight, or some of them, I think, have glandular issues, but if you had to choose one of these larger cats. The polka dot one with the white and the black. Yes, please. That mixed one right there. That Ben Simmons right there. That's what I would get. That one's nice, huh? Yeah. You could even play Twister on that if you dyed the colors of it. Yeah, maybe. Okay. Very fair. I'm sitting here with Hannah Strickland and her mother, Dawn Strickland. And who picked out your. Who picked out your name? Um. My dad. And did you have a say in her name or not, Dawn? Absolutely. You did? Yeah. We. So, it was going. It was going to be an awful name. I would have changed it if it was an awful name, but. And I totally understand that. I want to say I agree with you, Hannah. What were you going to choose, Dawn? It was actually going to be Hannah Beth. Yeah, and I hate that. But. We. Yeah. But what? I would have named a table that. A table? Yeah. Yeah. But what happened, Dawn? But. So, what happened was Hannah Beth didn't strike us when she was born. And so. We had a very close family member whose wife was Genevieve. And that's her middle name. That's a way better name. So, she loves her middle name. Yeah. Because Genevieve, it's almost like. Does it feel like an alter ego sometimes, Hannah? No, it's just French. Oh. Totally. Then that makes total sense. If you could. Say you go back in time to when you were a child. Yeah. Could you pick a different name for yourself and. Violet. Violet? Mm-hmm. Why? I just like that name. Yeah, I like it too. I like Violet. What would you pick, Dawn? What do you think your mother looks like if you had to give mom a different name? Because Dawn is very pretty. Dawn means like the beginning of the day, I think, or the end of the day. It's like a very. It's like the dawn of the rest of the earth. Like the world is going to like blow up. Okay, that's a bit. Or have you thought about that at all? Or is that not something you're. I want an action. You do? Yeah. Okay. And my sister said that she lived in. In India. And she had a golden toilet and a golden steak and a lot. I actually don't recall that. She lived in India? Well, she says that, but I don't believe her. So. But should you believe your sister? That's not a common. Is that even. I don't know. She said she had, like, golden horses and golden stallions and, like. Oh, my gosh. Maybe she met somebody online or something. Yeah, she probably looked it up. Asked Chet. Yeah. And just created that. In her head. Yeah. Yeah. What do you do to relax? What do you do to unwind? Uh. Take a bath. Okay. And are you somebody that stays in the bathtub for a long time? Yes. Oh, you're in the. So is my sister. She, um. She never closed the curtain because she's scared of the grimace. She's. So you're saying when you see grimace, you see a not a positive thing. You see a negative thing. There's a purple one. I didn't even know there's a green one, but whatever. Well, that's a St. Patrick's one. That's supposed to be his cousin or whatever. Ah, that's nice. And then Grace also made up another grimace where it's black and it's, like, dark black and if you go on the road, then he's gonna kidnap you and eat you. Oh, that's blemish, I think. Yeah. Wow. I know he went through some dark times, and I know I think some of his family members passed away. Oh, wow. That's fun. It's a tough moment for people. Wow, that's really funny. I mean, it's pretty crazy. I don't know if it's funny, though. I mean, I guess if there's a way to try to laugh about the pain of it. Is that probably what you mean, Hannah? No, just funny. Oh, yeah. Because the Grimace doesn't exist. There's a person under it. Some people say that. Bring it up. Does Grimace exist? Let's look it up. Yes, Grimace is a real character. Oh. Told you. He's fictional. Mm-hmm. He was introduced in 1971. So, he's getting older. Yeah. That means he is 55 years old. He looks good for his age. I will say that. Yeah. Will you say that? Yeah. All right. Purple don't crack, huh? Hannah, what would you say? You're here today and thank you for coming. Yeah. To town. Have you been to Nashville before? No. And were you excited about coming to Nashville? Yes. I like the hotel. You do? Mm-hmm. Good. Is that something you enjoy is getting that first moment in the hotel? Yeah. That's fun, huh? What do you like the best about it? What's kind of just the energy of it? I like the showers. Yes. Because the shower's big. Oh, that's fun in there. Yeah. Yeah. If you can have a good shower, that's pretty good. My friend one time rescued a pelican and there was a storm. There was like a big storm and he rescued a freaking pelican and we had to keep it in our shower for three days. That sounds fun. It was pretty fun. And we had to get fish and stuff and go in there and feed him and stuff. But it was scary while you were washing your hair with the shampoo because it would be scary if the suds got in your eyes and you were scared he was going to attack you or whatever. Yeah. Yeah. But, you know, you just try your best. Yeah. I would just go swim in the pond with alligators. You would? Mm-hmm. You do that type of behavior? Mm-hmm. You swim with alligators? Mm-hmm. Where? In our pond. What? In our pond. Dawn, is this true? Yes. To my knowledge, this is not true. It is true. This would be stamped false. Well, it is true. Oh. I can't see behind the shades. Because I know there's a pelican in the pond. I would just put the pelican and the pond in. Goodbye. And let the alligators get him? Mm-hmm. Hannah. Meat for the alligators. Yeah, I guess that's one way to have it. Yeah, that's the Florida way, I mean. That's very much the Florida way. They're building a lot of detention centers down there. They're doing a lot of crazy stuff to get rid of folks. So I wouldn't be surprised. Do you know a lot about animals or not? Uh, not really. You feed them, you play with them, they sleep, they get fat, done. That's fair. Yeah. Is there an animal you would like to get that you think you're not allowed to have? Because I know dad. A hamster. My dad does not want a hamster. What? Yeah. You don't want one of those little floor bears? It's a hamster. Some people call them floor bears. Look at them. They're cute. I know they're cute. Do you know I used to sell hamsters at my first job? Well, you better give me one. I kind of want one of those. Those are cute. I heard you can't even have one, though. Well, my dad would be surprised. I would actually get one. You think we could sneak maybe you could sneak one in? Yeah. Yeah. Because I could go on the airplane. For sure. Put it in your pocket. I'd like that. I'd just buy a cage from Amazon or something. That's easy. But dad might notice a cage comes in the mail. He's gonna be like, what goes in here? I did not think of that. He would just probably throw it in the pocket. Think that through. You gotta think that through. No, I would buy a cage, put the hamster in the cage, and then I would take it with me on the airplane. Okay. And then he can't do anything about it once it comes home, so. That's fair. Yeah. Who runs the household at your house? Is it mom? Dad? Um, me. You? Dawn, is this true or not? Yes. In some regard, it probably is true. She's the fourth typical Yeah, I know. That's embarrassing to admit. Well, I pretty much clean the whole house. That one over there doesn't do anything. She doesn't clean anything. Uh, yeah. Jonah. Sorry, Jonah, but he doesn't do anything. Neither. What? Yeah. Jonah's not even here to defend himself. Yeah, that's bad. But do you think it's true that he doesn't do anything? Yes. If you went to court, what would the judge decide? That he does do things or he does not do anything? Do not do anything. Oh my God. Guilty. Guilty. And what should his sentence be? How many years in prison, you think? Uh, one. That's fair. Teach him some lessons? Teach him how to do some stuff? Mm-hmm. What are the chores that you wish some of your family members would do more of to really help you out? I'm the one who cooks. Dawn. I do, in fact, cook. No, you do not. I cook the food. Hannah, you cook the food? What are you cooking? Um, pasta. Every night? Mm-hmm. So you have seven nights of pasta? Yep. Every night. So if you had a restaurant, it would be called Seven Nights of Pasta? Mm-hmm. And what would you serve? Pasta. Every kind of pasta. Hmm. Pasta salad. Pasta. Shrimp pasta? Yeah. What? Yeah. That's a kind of pasta? You don't have it? Well, not shrimp. Maybe, like, I don't know, some ham and pasta. What's another kind of pasta if you had to pick that you love? Pasta salad, uh, cheese pasta, macaroni and cheese. I love every pasta, except shrimp. Name one more pasta. I don't know. I can't think of anything more. What? You like, you like the pasta with the red sauce? Yes. And I like salt. Okay. Italian pasta? Uh, well, I like, like, pasta where there's, like, salt on it, and I put the, I put, like, this much salt. Are you allowed to have that much? Yeah. It's just salt. Yeah, you're right. That's a good call. Um, take me into your family. So, how many children do you have, Dawn? Four. Okay. Dawn? And were you excited about all of the kids? Was there ever a kid where you got it, and you're like, ah, this one, you know, hit or miss? No. I, I, I never thought that we would have four kids. That was kind of a surprise. Um. Where do you meet your husband? Niceville. That's where, so, I grew up in the panhandle. Mm-hmm. And, um, I had gone away to college, and, and I came back. Oh, you moved them. Yes. Oh, no wonder. I kept on saying you were from Alabama. I told you I wasn't from Alabama. Well, I did not trust that. I told you. Well, now I do. I, I was not born in Alabama. I didn't ever even live in Alabama. Well, now Grandma and Papa do. That's correct. I love the dirt roads. Same. I love it. I just want to roll around in it. I do, too. No, you don't. No, I want to walk on it, though. Um, so, we, we met at, uh, community college. Community college is good. A lot of people go. I mean, it's good. Yeah. And, and we went. And you guys met there. We did, yeah. And y'all fell in love. We did fast. So, we met. Yeah. And. Grace is a high school dropout. Grace. She dropped out of school. She didn't drop out. She's doing. Yes, she did, Mom. Was she doing drugs? No. It's on line hand. Well, that's good, then. So, she's making a lot of good choices. Why did she quit school? She didn't feel like she's a lazy bum. I wouldn't. That's not my choice of words. Uh, it is mine. It's my words. She's ruthless. Hannah is the boss. Is she always ruthless like this? Yes. So, you and your husband's name is? Travis. You and Travis, um, get together. Y'all get married first? We, we met and, and we were engaged two months later. Two months later. Whoa. And then. That's fast love. It was super fast. And, I mean, it sounds crazy now, but at the time, it didn't feel crazy. And then we were. It's called fast love, Dawn. Yeah. And it's okay. Yeah. I guess it is because we're, here we are, like, 26 years later. Yeah. You made the greatest choice, I think. I think so. Like, we didn't have all the junk in our head at that point. You know what I mean? Like, just world, just stress. But, Ramiya, um, I really, so, for my birthday, can you get me, like, some calico critters? Yeah. Maybe we could chat about it later. Yeah. And so, when do you meet your first child? Or when do you have your first child? Oh, I was like. Sally and Fiona. So, my first one. And what's funny is they're best friends. I don't know why she's doing this, because they're literally best friends. So, he is 23. So, he was born in 2002. Oh, my. Oh, wow, y'all. Oh, wow. Y'all. The interwebs. Y'all literally looks like a cowboy hat. So, is this y'all's family? Yeah. That is a very old photo. That was me and Mommy Sam. Where? And then Grace in that pink dress. Maybe something within the. He's working hard to be an EMT. Dawn, tell us the truth, because it doesn't sound like she's telling us the truth. Is she? No, he is a turnbucket. You're telling us the truth. Is Dawn telling us the truth? Yes. She said he's doing great. Well, he is, but he's a little turnbucket. Oh, you're right. Okay, so both things can be true. Yes. Okay, so how is he doing? He's doing great. He is working. He's 21 now. I think in that photo. Mom, why did you put me in that dress? I apologize. No, that is a good question. Let's stop for a second and look at this kid's dress, because first of all, you look like a little something, like a little Easter present. Yeah. Yeah. And you wore an Easter present, because isn't your birthday right around Easter? Technically Memorial Day. Yeah. I didn't even know Memorial Day even existed. Hey. It's not Easter. And then my brother Jonah. Yeah, let's take us into. So take us into the next child. So you get one child, and you guys are digging it, and you're like, let's get another child. So Jonah is like the one at the top. Okay. I love that you guys put this together. And how's he doing today? Be honest with us. He's fun. He plays video games, never wants to bathe a dog, never wants to brush the dog, never wants to mow the lawn. Huh. It's a lot. Yeah, he never does anything. He's also working on being an engineer, so he's pretty bright. And he sadly doesn't want to move. He doesn't really want to move out. He doesn't want to move out? I'm trying to steal one of their rooms. I see. So you have a plan in all of this. You want to get rid of one of these people, huh? Well, I want to get rid of Joel, because he has the biggest room. He's a turd bucket. Mm-hmm. And yeah. And we've already determined that Joel is dealing with some bucket issues or whatever. Because you never heard that word, butt munch. You know, obviously Joel is doing his thing. But here's my question. Do you have your own room, Hannah? No, I have to live with Mom and my dad, the one that snores. And I can barely even sleep. And why don't you have your own room? We didn't buy a bigger house. And it's a black house. It's brown. Brown, black, poopy brown. She does hate the color of the house and her defense. It's horrible. And so you get to the third. Who's the third child? Grace. Yeah, Grace. Grace. Okay. Actually, no, it was me. Yeah, it was me. It was Gracie. It was me. Okay. Well, let's just get to that. Let's get to the magic then. When was Hannah born? 2016. 2016. Okay. And Hannah has, you have some, you have like a, kind of like a thing. It's called stenosis? Yeah. And what is it? Because I've heard of it, but I haven't really heard a lot. I don't know a lot about it. Well, Mom, how about you tell them? Do you want me to tell that part? Yeah. Okay. So technically, it's a lysosomal storage disorder. And how do we say it? Stenosis. Stenosis. Yep. You did very good. We've talked to doctors before and they mispronounce it. So you did better than they did. But essentially, cysteine, which is an amino acid, doesn't get transported through the cells correctly. And so they accumulate on all of the major organs. So a lot of times people think, oh, it's just a kidney disease or it's just a, it affects all of the major organs. So like my son has had two kidney transplants. Who, Joel or Jonah? Joel. Joel. Okay. Yeah. He's had two kidney transplants. In his teenage years. He's remarkable. And now he's working hard to be an EMT, which is just- He's always been a little butt munch. Yeah. Give him some credit. The guy's on his- He deserves a lot of credit. Seventh kidney. My sister had a liver transplant when we were little. Oh, wow. And so I know what it's like to be like around that. The sibling. Yeah. Yeah. And just like what it's like. And it's kind of scary sometimes as a sibling because you don't exactly know what's going on. Right. Even though you get some information. It can be kind of- But you still can only process so much at that age. Yeah. You're a kid and it's kind of, it can be kind of alarming. And sometimes it was, I felt like we couldn't play with my sister because she would have like a lot of scars and stuff. And so that was kind of, that was different. So, but it was interesting, but yeah, she had a liver transplant and she's doing great. That's awesome. How does cystinosis kind of affect you like on a daily basis? Do you even feel it when you get up in the morning, Hannah? No. You don't even know about it? No. I just drink water and then I go eat. Eat, sleep, eat, drink. Be fabulous. Yeah. Happy 4th of July. And so, what is it, how does it, how do you see that it affects your mom anyways? You know, life for us is, I love the fact that she doesn't notice a lot. It means that maybe, you know, maybe as a family we might be doing something right. What am I posting on something? No. No, no. Because I take a shower, eat, sleep, watch TV, play, drink. Yeah. And then I go back to sleep. Oh, do you? Yeah. She finish it up with some sleep, huh? Mm-hmm. Do you dream at night or no? No. Hannah, don't lie. I'm not. Trust me. You talk in your sleep, Hannah. Oh. Yeah. Who are you talking to? I don't know. I mean, she just doesn't stop talking. It's just like anybody. I always just talk all the time. Oh, well, that's good. I'm glad you talk. People like hearing you talk. It's entertaining and it's fun. It is. What are some things about cystinosis that people don't know, just in general? Gosh, I don't think they know a lot. It's very rare. You're talking less than. They're like, how old are you? Like, I'm like nine. And then they're like, I thought you were four or one or two or three. Yeah. And I'm like, I don't look that short. Yeah. They thought you were one? Well, probably not one, but like at least three or four or five. The lady the other day in Ulta, she thought you were what? I think three. Did she say four? Yeah. That's bonkers. I don't even look four. No. Like, I feel that I'm tall, but I guess I'm not. Newsflash. We might not be. Hey, story of my life. We all want to be that tall, bad girl, you know? Or I mean, we all want to be like that. That one is like a giant. Yeah. Well, I'll tell you this. She had a lot of time. She was going to grow when she wasn't at school. Yeah. You know? She's been focusing on growth. And her friend Bella, she's like almost the size of me. She's like one foot taller. That's nothing. Is there any unique things that Hannah does because of cystinosis that it's a part of her life? Is there any like unique things that people have to kind of do? Like my sister has to take like sort of like organ rejection medication so that like, uh, cause she got a transplant. I know she didn't get one, but I'm just saying some, sometimes when you have certain things that are part of your life, you have certain things you have to do and that i mean obviously yeah well i literally do the same thing every day eat sleep drink like tv play yeah yeah and guess what the last one is a shower nope one more sleep yeah welcome back that that's true for her too so she does she has a g-tube well i'm doing an impersonation guess who it is hannah that's definitely my dad yeah let's go this is gonna yeah um so because it's like wait mom what does she does when he's sleeping who dad daddy i mean he definitely snores yeah yeah and then he like wakes up go back to sleep yep that's what happens when you get older you don't ever sleep through the night well i always do i never snore and i don't like i never snore that one does that one sleeps with her mouth gaped open what kind of world are you living in i have no idea those people are crazy tell me about it i can barely even believe that you're able to survive over there hannah around these people yeah i need a move i'm like i need my own room and my sister stole the color of my room what she stole my bed from my old room i like the perfect i in the old house and our own house i have my own room and my own playroom oh that you never used i did use that you never let me sleep in there why not i literally wanted to sleep in there were there mice in there no there were a lot of mice in our house when i was a kid i've always wanted a rat a mouse i've always wanted a mouse yeah she's obsessed with ratatouille so she would that'd be cool they're so cute yeah well they're cute i'll tell you this ratatouille first of all the movie it's about 20 minutes too long i will say that oh she would disagree yeah vehemently disagree actually well i like the part where they cook yeah let's finish the whole thing oh yeah i like it i mean i like it but i'm just at a certain point i'm like hurry it up we get it there's like a little bit extra on there for me that's just a little bit too much i like culottes yes let's bring up the characters so culottes is the girl with like the purple hair there she is yeah yeah yeah i like ratatouille i'll ask you this um just i'm gonna ask dawn something real quick is it okay if i ask dawn something yes thank you um yeah are there any special things that someone has to do that's a part of their life um before that before there might ever be a transplant there's still just a lot of medications so she has a g-tube to make things easier um eye drops meds um they're harsh they they're they hurt her stomach they you know and obviously since it affects your kidneys first it obviously it stunts your growth um you can take growth hormone lately we've kind of uh yeah i'm never doing that i haven't started that yet we did that with my son but but that's a choice you have to make i guess as a parent for a child yeah that's kind of interesting it's hard because you always worry you know all right next subject what's something you admire about each one of your children dawn how about that let's get the truth here i'm the favorite she tells everybody that too because i am the favorite is it the truth though yes what why because i'm just a better child huh though that one doesn't clean yep none of our kids clean here joel never cleans the dishwasher never does anything i'm like yeah golly moses and what are the chores you like to do the most then yeah let's do that um wash dishes um vacuum clean the counters and that's pretty much all i do okay clean my make my bed and stuff okay yeah i respect that and i cook too so do you yep what's one of your favorite things to cook chicken noodle soup biscuits um pasta how about our um pizzas that you make oh yeah pizza cheesy bread i like cheesy bread yeah they had cheesy bread yeah yeah i make my own we got a new um fire what are those like the like the pizza oven pizza oven those are good yeah those are really good in that just for the record we don't even order pizza anymore it's amazing yeah it's really good dude when people order pizza i'm like what are you doing you could make this in your yard in a minute yeah absolutely are you out of your mind i even will if my neighbors order pizza if i see a pizza i'll go out and blow like a big horn at their house and i say what are you doing well maybe they don't have an oven or something yeah but just get a pan and even put just like a lighter or candle under it you can do that so easily now yeah i see like you kind of like it feels like you're growing up kind of fast do you ever feel like that mom do you feel like she's growing up she's going older not me hand that wasn't directed yeah about me mom's doing great yeah but hannah's growing up so fast do you feel sometimes hannah like you're just growing up too fast no you think you're growing up at the right speed yep what do you see like another line of work like what's a real line of work that you want to get into one day like when you're driving down the road and you see a guy working in construction or you see a woman like fetching water from a well or milking an animal or something oh that one wants to have a farm i don't know why well she has she has a baking channel so she likes to bake so she could probably use ingredients yeah do you like ingredients like stuff to put in a cake yes uh yeah yeah you have to have those for like baking yeah i like this i like ingredients i've always liked them um but what's that line of work you see yourself getting into when you're driving a chef a chef okay and would your your restaurant obviously we know it's called seven days of pasta will there ever be a day where you'll have one other item that will be different than the other item that will be different than the other item that will be different like a special nope what's your well that's pickle pasta pickle pasta pickle boss like i like pickles but like not impossible like if someone wants like something like sour and like they can have that we'll do it i like that do you have bread do you have any appetizers even yeah what are some of the appetizers you're gonna have like maybe some shrimp and bread and oil i like that yeah my favorite food is pasta i like ravioli i love ravioli i also love olive garden you do what's your favorite thing about it uh the alfredo and the breadsticks yeah breadsticks are good yeah god sometimes i just want to put one in my mouth and have somebody come up and just hit it right down my face with a hammer my dream is like to put like my mouth under like the frozen yogurt machine and just like eat it yes girl okay but here's what i've heard my friend's done that and he gets so cold because that thing's very cold yeah you think you could handle it yeah i love cold just wear earmuffs yeah um one of your i saw a video of this one thing i learned about you i saw a video of you it was at a christmas shop and that was like a busy video that you guys had what happened there take me behind the scenes with some of this video let me see it really quick again what age was this when you were working hannah i know this is one of your early films i love this store what is this macy's that's macy's i love macy's i love places michaels where you can get crafts oh i love michaels we actually got a deal with should have been no what are some ways obviously mom is having trouble parenting when it comes to you is that safe to say you think uh she doesn't have any trouble she does a good job maybe no and if you were a parent how would what kind of what things would you do differently you think well if they would scream then i'll just put them up in the bathroom yeah and i'd lock the door yeah let me say every parent it's not legal but kind of like a dog well people do it you know people do it a lot um do you think you would teach your like what's like something that you would teach them like a thing you would try to instill in your kids so you they would know i would just put them in the bedroom out like a like a like a ginormous wall in the bedroom and then like lock the doors and then yeah they can never get out and they can never get out until they stop screaming okay so that's only if they scream cry do anything what what would be the things that you would do if they were good or to like help them be a good person yeah what would you do oh they can just move out yeah look if they want that kind of life they can hit the road and figure that out exactly We're keeping it 100 over here. Hannah, you know, people are wondering. I think a lot of people are like, what is she going to do next? Is she going to start a cartoon? Is she going to come out? Oh, definitely not a cartoon. I hate cartoons. Okay. That's out. So people quit wondering that. Yeah. Is she going to come out with her own, like, cookware? Is she going to come out with, like, maybe a special spatula? Well, I want my, like, my own cook show. Okay. Like, you know, those, like, those cook shows where they have to, like, get the ingredients, hurry up and cook. They can have as much as they like. Because that's, like, really good cheese, and it makes, like, really good, like, Alfredo pasta. Like, you just have to add, like, milk, and then that cheese, and then melt it. Like, cook it, of course. And then, uh, you put the pasta in the pot, and the butter, and the Alfredo sauce. And then, once you've got your pasta in the thing, in the cheese, then you dump the Alfredo sauce in the cheese, Well, like, like, in the big circle, the wheel, the big wheel of cheese. And then you got, like, wait, like, um, he carved it in the inside, and then he, like, you put the pasta in. Okay. We're gonna need you to step out of the vehicle now, okay? That's all I'm saying is. Because one time I stole my sister's little mini unicorns, and I've been trying to get those for years, and I actually got them. Well, I've always got them. And then I put them in my fridge, but she finally found them. Now I'm going to try to steal them again. Yeah, she has a play kitchen that she, everybody knows, if they're missing something, they go straight to her play kitchen because she hides everything in the same spot. Well, if they keep on looking there, then I'll move them, and I'll put them somewhere different. I get it. Well, I have a new hiding spot. You don't move anything. I get it. I will now. Have you ever considered burying something in the yard? Well, then I'll literally never find it again. Do you think you'd forget? Yeah. I forget all the time. You do? I forget what I'm going to say. You've been traveling a lot, right? And have you? What's a place you've been that you really did not enjoy very much? And you can be honest with us. I literally don't even know. I like every place that I've been to. You do? Yeah. But I didn't like the place where we went to New York, where there's people sleeping on the road and stuff, and I'm on the sidewalk. People camping out and stuff? Yeah. It was kind of weird. Yeah. I'm just like, get a job. I'm like, who are you? Yeah. It's tough. It sucks for you. There's certain ways to look at it. And I think you have to figure all that out. You have to factor that in. What's something you and Hannah love to do together? We like to play Uno. Oh, I like Uno. We like to cook. Yeah. I mean, obviously, I'm not a great cook. Sometimes we. Mom, what do we eat together? Everything? What do you mean? Well, we pretty much eat. Yeah, we eat everything. Yeah. Well, you eat everything. Not a whole lot. Off the list. Yeah. Thanks. Yeah. Moms have to taste everything before their kids can make sure it's safe. It's like a quality issue. It's important. Making sure they're not, like, poisoning, you know? It's pretty important. Yeah, because you want to eat it. There's no poison in the food that you make. You never know. What's the worst food you've ever had, you think, Hannah? Uh-huh. I knew you were going to say that. It's okay. Mexican food and Indian food. Yeah. What was it about them? Well, I don't like. I don't like. I just don't like. Look, I actually do like the tacos, and I like the, like, the guacamole and stuff. Yeah. But, like, I don't like anything else. The tacos and the what is it? Tacos and guacamole. Yes. But my dad says he's going to eat a banana. A banana and an avocado in the morning. Why? I don't know. He's like, honey, did you get the banana and avocado? He was going on a diet, right? Yeah. Yeah. And his dad, um. Does dad like to diet? Does he like to. What does dad like to do for fun? Uh, he likes to fix his car. But instead of fixing the car, he likes to break the car instead. Instead of fixing it. Yeah. That's dad. That's dad, you know? What's a regular day at school? Like, Hannah, are you still going to school? Uh, yeah. If I'm not in high school, I drop out like Grace. Is that true, Grace? Yes. She literally dropped out of school. It's okay, Grace. A lot of my family is not even. They're not all the way done yet. That's how we say it. Do you have, like, some close friends at school? What's it like over there? Well, I actually do homeschooling. You do? Yeah. And who's your teacher? Uh, her name is Miss Sarah the Evil Queen. She calls her teacher the Evil Queen, yes. It's true. Because she is evil. She's forcing me to do homework. But that's her job. She's a teacher. So she's getting paid to do this? You're right. Huh. Why do we pay people to do pure evil? Yeah. I agree. Great question. Huh. It's a great question. Well, I just want to talk. Um, Dawn, you stay super busy. No. Huh. I knew that was coming, too. She sits down all the time. She does nothing. She has to be doing something. She's not. What? Mommy the Evil Queen. Well, what are some things that, uh, what are some things, though, that you're working on, like, behind the scenes right now? Like, what are some stuff that people don't know that's going on? Yeah. Well. Because of all of this, and I realized we had an opportunity to have a little bit of a platform and a little bit of a voice, I always wanted to start our own foundation, something that would leave a legacy for the kids and, um, that would help other families like ours. So, that's what we've been working on, and we just launched it yesterday. We're super excited about. What are we? Oh, Mom, are you going to give him the present? Congratulations. Yes. This is the Strickland Hope Foundation. Thank you. Yeah. So, we're excited. You know, when we were going through. It took almost two years to find out with my son, because they have the same condition. So, it took. almost two years oddly enough it somebody the driver said um have y'all been in nashville before and i was like i couldn't think about it is i think i blocked it out my son got his diagnosis at vanderbilt wow so we didn't know what was wrong with him and we just kept going but mom going so remember when i clogged up the shower and the hotel yeah she flooded the whole bathroom today oh yeah because i really wanted a bath but they didn't have a bath so i just you know made into a bath i think you have to do that sometimes we um so why we started the trickle and hope foundation so so both so your son had this um joel joel with the red hair yep so joel had cystinosis he's a butt munch he still does and he's obviously a turd munch or whatever what is he uh bucket head turd bucket yeah sorry yeah anyway we're back to him and sorry joel i know you're not here to defend yourself but that's what happens you send your siblings out yeah and you don't go with them bro you face the wrath but here's my question is um so you didn't even know it was hard to know what the diet it was hard to get diagnosed absolutely what do you think was going on well we knew it was serious um he was treated for the wrong condition for seven months at a different children's hospital um but so we had yeah pretty much that's what they they literally i mean she laughs about it but like they just kept saying um it was a working diagnosis and i was like oh my god i'm gonna die i'm gonna die i'm gonna so anyway when long story short when we found out what it was i mean we went through a lot and it's it's challenging i mean i suppose you would understand some of that too and i remember one of the first things when when he faced his first transplant um they one of the first things they said were you know like how are you going to pay for this are you going to start a gofundme and that was like the biggest slap in the face like so now i've got to go beg for money to make sure that my kid can have a transplant um and we had excellent insurance listen i'm not saying i'm not long story short i just vowed that no other family dealing with a chronic condition is enough yeah that's enough and that's enough stress and that's enough um stress on a relationship on the family dynamics on the siblings um so that's my mission i just i want to be there to help in tangible ways whether it be financial whether they need medical equipment whether they need therapy services counseling if the mother and father needs counseling to deal with this new diagnosis they should be able to have that um if a family is functioning and functioning well and they are whole and they are taken care of then they can be good caregivers and that's the most important thing is making sure that each each member of the family is taken care of so yeah it's a lot i mean i remember i would go to like ronald mcdonald house and stay over there and um and um over the years i've gone there and just like done like just like like uh you can go there and i kind of volunteer to help them but i'm not going to do that i'm not going to do that hang out and sometimes it looks tough to be over there but just seeing what families do right and what it's like to have a family be around something that um that happens that is like a surprise to your family a medical surprise right um and so the foundation will help support people that need these extracurriculars kind of yes absolutely um we're still working out everything as far as what we will help out with but um i've been in this we've lived with this for long enough i know firsthand and i also know you know from having friends in our little community um often they need help with paying bills you know lots of times um the the spouse now needs to stay home and take care of the child so you lose that second income what does that look like i want to help provide if you need to go to a community college or wherever i want to have my jacket okay yeah that's great and get training or certificate so that you can work from home and now make money from home whatever it is again how do you make money from home i don't know i don't know i don't make money yeah not not me yeah because we're not seeing any of it right yeah so just help them in any way possible you know lots of times there's programs for co-pays and things like that but there are so many gaps just do you need help babe she you want to give it to gracie grace or just grace don't throw it there's help out please come on half of them we know you've taken off of school but i know high school dropout so we're still figuring out exactly how the hope foundation will help but we know it's going to help um uh families in ways that they're affected uh that they may not even see coming and ways that you guys have had experience with yes because we have had listen it's embarrassing we've had to ask for money before we've had to borrow money um it's embarrassing it's degrading it's stressful and the thing about it is you're you're already concerned you're a parent who's going through a lot whether it's new or whether you've been walking this road for a few years you you know you're tired you often go without sleep you're sleep deprived and you don't make good decisions when you're so after so my mom said if i did good on this show that i could also get like a 3ds a 3ds is like it's like an old game and i'm like it's like an old game and i'm like it's like an old nintendo switch that i've also really wanted for a long time and my brother has one okay and um it's really cool so i've always wanted one of those and hopefully i get one of those so you're just making sure we were she remembers that she's like let me call you out in front of him i think was that yeah you should be an attorney i think yeah okay so that so just so we know and it's called the it's called strickland hope foundation strickland hope foundation yes and um and we're just getting not go there you think she lied yes outer space led yeah outer space lied you're right but here's the question is if they set you up nice they give you a nice first class seat you're headed outer space would you go to outer space no why i just don't want to i want to stay at home you could miss something important in outer space so i don't care about outer space what are you going to do at a book about me well me and my sister very fair um i heard you almost got in trouble for a crime is that true at some point well what that's just what i heard that there was a small crime or something you almost got in trouble for what crime have you ever done a crime well well maybe i almost took a candy bar out of the store without paying but but hey i mean i almost sneaked out but you didn't hannah were you well when she was first born i thought oh she's cute she's a cute little baby but as she grew up her personality like just immediately snapped in like um when she was even a baby she was like i'm gonna be a little sister and i'm gonna be a little sister and she was sassy you know she would laugh was she yeah yeah i i talked a little when i was little i actually talked when i was like a baby you could talk a little yeah not a lot yeah like maybe like that much at least but some yeah do you think she looks up to you sometimes or no no i just do my own things yeah i think we're similar in a way yeah i think so um she takes some stuff from me oh i do not i think so i take my own makeup looks yeah but does she steal some of your hairstyles and things like that definitely yeah grace how'd you get that red streak in your hair hand yeah because i like this it looks great is that real kool-aid it's not kool-aid it's uh like a conditioner oh nice it was supposed to come out but it's not so it's gonna be there forever now your sister has a bacon channel do you want to tell us a little bit about it uh hannah oh grace how are you um yeah she never you know actually puts her face in the videos but she doesn't i do oh wow you made this yeah yeah that's actually one of my favorite cakes it's recent oh that's a stranger things cake that's pretty dope i'm scared of the show though so yeah i don't watch that kind of stuff usually no because i like to get to bed early right and my neighbors have a loud dog and it's hard to sleep hannah what do you think i should do about that um i don't know oh yeah it's an alligator oh that's one thing oh oh the bts one oh really oh that's not a cake yeah it's i got you got tickets so me and grace are going to a bts concert what the korean rock band yeah oh yeah they're great i'm real excited i've never seen them where are they performing at bando yeah actually um um alabama i'm pretty sure right i'm pretty sure we're going to the tampa show it's in april dude i would like to meet those guys have you ever met them no no no they probably don't know us yeah they don't know us because they're korean yeah so but tell me a little bit more about your baking channel do you do it just for fun is it a hobby bring it back up so it's like um i started it because my dad when he would go to work um he and he loved coming home and i remember his other mom or dad they bought like a baking kit off of amazon and i was like and i just started baking this is in our old house and i just it just kind of started and then My mom made my channel. I like it. It was good. She made it when I was, like, 11 to just document everything. One time, I made a cake. It was, like, a Nutella cake. And I added, like, Nutella on it. And that was probably the first cake I ever made. And my brother actually thought it was pretty good. Did he? Yeah. So I didn't actually know how to make frosting. But I added Nutella for the frosting. And then the cake was actually chocolate vanilla. And then I also put, like, some strawberries and, like, maybe some blueberries on the top. And that was really good. Okay. That sounds very good. And take us through this cake really quick, Grace. Okay. So the sand was actually graham crackers. So I was making two cakes this day. It was actually really chaotic. So it was due the next day. But this is a SpongeBob one. Due for who? Like, the cake lord or whatever? I actually. Like, who? The dark dessert wizard or something? Who forced you to make two cakes in one day? It was actually kind of crazy. It was for a teenager my age. For two big cakes. I'm like, gosh. I don't think she actually meant to give, like, two cakes. Okay. Yeah. So this one was really fun to make, though. I made the toppers and stuff. Because not out of creativity, but out of. But I didn't have the toppers that I needed. Is this a SpongeBob cake? Yeah. Oh, that's great. What do you love about baking? Or is it just kind of a hobby? I don't know. It's just a fun thing to do. Like, cake kind of does bring people together. Like, it's always at a celebration, a wedding, a birthday. And to be a part of somebody's life like that is really fun. Oh, this is an Easter cake? Yeah. That whole thing's a cake? Yeah. Oh, that's pretty dope. Yeah. Do you think that Hannah is a good judge of good desserts, of cakes? Yeah, I do like cake. She says random things. Like, she'll say something that doesn't match the description. Like, mysterious and spicy. She'll say sweet and spicy for a cake. Grace, let's be honest here. That's all on one hand. Who's eating salmon these days with everything that's going on? You know? Yeah, I don't like salmon. It's disgusting. I liked it when things were more chill. Yeah, like, I like rice and salmon. But, like, I don't like just salmon. Oh, if salmon stops by by itself, bro, I'm out. Yeah. You know? Yeah. So, I don't know what I would recommend. There's some good restaurants, though. Yeah, I really like, um, what do I like? I like, I really love mashed potatoes, omelets. Mm-hmm. This morning for breakfast, we actually, I had an omelet, a pancake. So, I got a pancake. It's like, uh, mumble. What was it called? Um, it was actually an oat cake. It was an oat cake. Yeah. But a pancake. Yeah. And, um. Was it good? Yes, it was really good. Oh, God, I want that. And, uh, I put, like, I put, like, a lot of fruit on the top. Mm-hmm. And then I poured some maple syrup on it and then butter. Mm-hmm. Well, the butter was first. First. First. Um, yeah. Amen. Amen.
