5G: The Biggest Public Health Experiment in History | Stephanie Locricchio

The average American should understand that living near cell towers or in environments saturated with wireless technology exposes individuals—especially children—to real, measurable RF radiation linked to health issues like headaches, insomnia, and cognitive decline. Despite decades of exposure, scientific guidelines remain unchanged since the 1990s, relying on outdated data from animal studies that don’t reflect today’s high levels of constant, involuntary exposure. Over 10,000 studies indicate harm, yet industry-funded research and regulatory agencies like the FCC have not updated standards or responded to public health concerns. A key issue is the Telecommunications Act of 1996, which strips local communities of the right to consider health or environmental impacts when approving tower placements, effectively allowing rapid deployment without public input. Proposed legislation such as HR2289 would further erode local control, enabling fast-track installations near schools, homes, and playgrounds, often with no prior notice or community consent. This situation is compounded by the growing use of smart devices, electric vehicles, and 5G infrastructure, which increase radiation exposure and raise serious privacy concerns. Children are especially vulnerable due to their developing bodies and thinner skulls. Experts advocate for immediate action, including hardwiring devices, turning off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, using airplane mode, opting out of smart meters, and promoting landlines. While the science shows harm, public awareness remains low due to industry influence and media censorship. The broader message is urgent: public health is at risk, and individuals must take personal steps to reduce exposure, demanding greater transparency, accountability, and local control in technology deployment.

What should the average American know about buying a home that is really close to a cell tower? That exposure is real. You can't feel it. You can't see it. You can't smell it. It is impacting you. Things like nausea, dizziness, brain fog, headaches, insomnia. There's no long-term studies done on what happens when you have a generation of children growing up from cradle to grave exposed to RF radiation at all times. We know that it causes harm. It's not a question. The question is, why isn't the FCC or any of the governing agencies doing anything to make sure that what's happening right now is being regulated and looked at? We are now living inside a non-stop cloud of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G towers, air pods, smart homes, smart watches, baby monitors, wireless classrooms, and massive data infrastructure. And yet, most Americans have never been told what the long-term health data actually says about any of this, or whether modern safety standards have kept up with the technology itself. At the same time, Congress is considering legislation called HR2289 that could strip local communities of meaningful control over where exactly wireless towers are placed, and that includes near schools, neighborhoods, churches, and playgrounds. And despite how massive that sounds, most people have never even heard of this bill. Joining me today is Stephanie LaRitio, Senior Advocacy Manager at Children's Health Defense and Founder of Wellness Warriors Revolution. Stephanie works directly with families and communities advocating for informed consent, local control, and greater transparency around children's health and environmental exposures. Before we start, please leave a five-star review. Tell me who I should interview next. If you prefer video podcasts, some of you do. Watch this show on the Real Alex Clark YouTube channel or Culture Apothecary on Spotify, which offers video. Please welcome 5G expert, Stephanie LaRitio, Senior Advocacy Manager at Children's Health Defense to Culture Apothecary. We're living in a world with 5G, Wi-Fi, smart homes, Bluetooth. When was the last time that any of this stuff was tested for safety data? 30 years. So the RF exposure guidelines have not been updated since the 90s. And I want you to go back in time with me and think about what our phones and our technology look like in the 90s. We had flip phones where you couldn't text at first and then when you could, you had to hit the button like 17 times. You couldn't stream movies. You couldn't connect to Bluetooth. You couldn't connect to Wi-Fi. Very basic functions. So if you look at the modern world and where we are with technology, CHD, the people that I'm affiliated, we're not anti-technology. We're just pro-safe technology and having updated guidelines that actually meet where we are in the real world and not looking at an outdated model that basically the studies were done in the 80s on monkeys and rats to just test for heat. There's no long-term studies done on what happens when you have a generation of children growing up from cradle to grave essentially. And in the womb exposed to RF radiation at all times, we know that it causes harm. It's not a question. The question is why isn't the FCC or any of the governing agencies doing anything to make sure that what's happening right now is being regulated and looked at to ensure that we're not creating long-term health issues that we know nothing about. We know right now people have a spectrum of all types of issues ranging from headaches to dizziness, to nausea, to vomiting, all the way to brain fog, which happens all the time. But people cancers, infertility, neurological issues, learning disabilities, like there's so many things that are happening now. Tens of thousands of studies proving harm, and yet the FCC, though they were asked to update and give us written explanation on why these outdated standards still prove that this is healthy for the environment and for humans. Five years ago, this request was made, we still have received zero from them. I have so many questions just based on that. So one, what is RF? RF is radio frequency radiation. It could be wireless radiation. There's many different terms from it, but basically it is the radiation that emanates from our personal devices, from small cells and from cell phone towers. Is the issue that updated testing on the long-term health effects of this technology isn't being done at all or is it that it's being done, but it's not meaningfully being reflected in public policy or safety standards? It hasn't been done to our knowledge, despite independent studies that show that there's harm. Our governing agencies, the FCC specifically, is not doing anything to update their guidelines, which is problematic because there's rapid proliferation of this technology. I mean, play the game with me of counting how many cell towers you see on a daily basis and how many more popping up. So this technology is here and it comes at a cost. I mean, people love having fast internet, being able to surf, do all these things, but there is a cost to human health, to children's health, and to the environment. And it's one that we're not looking closely enough at. So we really need to have studies that reflect the technology and the modern world that we're living in because it is not 1996 anymore. We're in 2026 and we are surrounded by this invisible toxin that is known to cause harm and we don't know in 10, 20, 30, 40 years. It's kind of like that tobacco science. We're just flying by the seat of our pants and the people who are going to pay the cost are the human beings that are living on this planet and the environment. What are the current wireless safety standards failed to account for? In your phone right now, if you go into the legal and regulatory language in your phone, it says that it was tested at a distance away from the body, right? So you see people walking around with their phone stuffed in their waistband, in their bra, in their pockets, connected with their watches, their airpods. So we don't have the updated safety standards looking at the modern world of our voluntary exposure, which is the devices that we purchase that we buy, the things that we have in our house, combines with the involuntary exposure from all of these cell towers, small cells, and smart utility meters that are popping up everywhere. The combined radiation that we're exposed to between the voluntary and involuntary exposure is off the charts. And there is no science that supports that this is healthy for humans or for the environment. What is your opinion on airpods? Don't do it. I always tell people it's sort of like sticking your head in the microwave. So while this convenient, I was on the treadmill this morning in the hotel and I'm the only person in the hotel gym that has the wired headphones in. And of course, at some point I'm walking very fast on the treadmill. My hand hits the wire and the wire comes out. The cell phone falls on the floor and everybody like turns and looks at me, like get some airpods lady. And yes, it's convenient. But at the same time, you were putting this technology in your ear. That radiation is bouncing across your brain. So it's like literally putting your head in a microwave. Very, very dangerous. My son doesn't own a pair. I tell people all the time in the gym when I'm talking to them to take them out to do something different. Going wired is the way to go. I always tell people distance is your friend. So keeping the phone off of your body wherever you can and making sure if you are listening to something downloading the content, having the wires in your ear, it's not perfect, but it's definitely better. I've heard people say that these 5G towers are not for internet. What does that mean? Basically, with 5G means it's an evolution of the technology waves. So you have the LTE, the 5G. 5G basically because it operates on a shorter wave, you need to have the towers be a lot closer to the end user. So there's a lot of privacy and surveillance concerns as far as like tracking, collecting data, things of that nature. My phone though, it's 5G enabled. I disconnected the 5G and I'm running on LTE and I have zero issues with my cell phone service. So it's very interesting. When I was on 5G, I actually found that the service was worse. So there is something to that. That's strange. And the 6G that they're developing right now has sensing capability. So it's been said that once 6G is deployed, it will actually have the capability to see through the walls of people's homes. How is that legal? That's the question. How is it legal? How is it allowed? And who signed on for this? Because I know, yeah, okay, you want monotechnology, you want to be able to surf the internet. But I didn't sign away my rights to privacy and my ability to operate inside of my home how I want to. I mean, these smart appliances, these smart utility meters, they're collecting data. How much how much what do you take? When are you showering? How many times did you open your refrigerator? What appliances you're using? It's wild. What shocked you the most when you started researching this world? And why did you start to care about this stuff to begin with? I started like you. So I was a food advocate 2012 in Staten Island, New York, lands of the fried cheese, nobody cares, handing out GMO pamphlets, trying to educate parents and the PTA on the harms of feeding their children the toxic poison food. And then through 2019, 2020, when vaccine mandates came down, I got very involved in the health freedom movement started working for children's health defense. And one of my dear friends, Miriam Eckenfellas, who's a director of the CHDMR and wireless program, she started like dripping on me some of the information about Wi-Fi and 5G and cell tower radiation. And it was crazy because at the time I was sitting in my office all day and I had my Wi-Fi router to the left of me under my desk and I was getting all kinds of strange pains. Tonight is radiant breast pain pain in my left hip my left shoulder my left knee. I wear a tinfoil hat as it is like I've always been the odd person out so it's like I tried to stay in one lane because you know when you open up this can of worms and you start looking at all the toxins that were surround us you can almost drive you crazy you don't know where to begin and how to mitigate so it was like a part of me didn't want to know about it because it's that thing at the end of the day I can choose what food I buy I can choose what pharmaceutical intervention or vaccine I put in my body but I cannot choose this involuntary exposure and how much wireless radiation I'm exposed to both in my personal environment and outside of it so once I started learning I always say it set my soul on fire and it became something that I really got active in because it's an invisible toxin it is something that is one of the fastest growing toxins that is affecting children and the least acknowledge one so people don't realize it we're doing all these things to mitigate what we're bringing into our homes to organic skincare organic diapers and then you see these kids sitting down with the tablets on their laps for hours on end acting as their babysitter and I don't Alex for 15% off when it comes to 5g in cell towers I'm going to tell you I know nothing about what it could be doing to our health this is such a new space for me a new territory for me what should the average American know about buying a home that is really close to a cell tower the New Hampshire Commission report said that 1600 and 40 feet was the safest distance from a cell tower to a residential home a school places where humans gather yet you're seeing cell towers popping up right outside of windows outside of these low housing income homes and what you need to know is that exposure is real you can't feel it you can't see it you can't smell it but is it is impacting you we had a community that we represented and litigated on behalf of in Pittsfield Massachusetts and it was a very quiet street all of a sudden it was a dead ends they saw trucks clearing lands and removing trees so of course curiosity they went down and they said you know what's going on oh we're putting up a cell tower no notice no knowledge of this happening and once a cell tower is slated to be put into your community it is very hard to stop it so the cell tower went live they didn't know the exact date but some of the residents started to feel sick things like nausea dizziness brain fog headaches insomnia so the woman one of the women of a child that was really being impacted cold to find out the date that the cell tower was turned on and it completely correlated with her daughter's symptoms so what happened at that point was the local board of health in Pittsfield Massachusetts sided with the residents in Pittsfield saying that there was correlation between the symptoms and the cell tower the problem is that the telecom act of 1996 eliminated the ability for local communities to cite any impacts from health or environmental concerns as a reason not to put a tower and the federal preemption that it created actually just null-invoided the fact that that local health board of health sided with Pittsfield Massachusetts this is still an ongoing thing years later you're seeing cancer rates increase on that block people having clusters of cancer you're seeing that there was a school in California same thing and the sad part is that these people are forced to evacuate their homes and when you live near a cell tower not only in the health impacts a problem but your property values plummet they're seeing up to 20% when you have a cell tower near you that you're seeing those residential rates really decline because nobody wants to live next to a cell tower just like when I was looking for my home in New Jersey whenever I saw those giant electrical lines above ground I avoided them something in me just said this is not a good thing and the sad part is that we're living in a world where if we don't take control very quickly the dark reality that we're living into is you could wake up at any morning and there could be a cell tower small cell or large sitting right outside of your window in your child's school on a playgrounds I mean let's think about this as it is our current education system we've moved away from books and backpacks and children are sitting in front of Wi-Fi enabled devices all day long it's so sick it's disgusting it's disgusting the fact of the matter is that hardwired is just as effective if not more effective as far as giving you the coverage that broadband hardwired is the way to go in schools in communities it is much safer it is much more effective in getting your wireless your your internet needs met but we continue to move with this wireless deployment for what reason I have no idea but it's this big industry playbook where it seems like they're sitting in their ivory tower somewhere whether it's big pharma big food or big telecom just pointing their fingers and laughing at what they're creating which is this wheel of illness and disease and suffering that's happening in this country and we see it with our food why don't we deserve better in this country whether it's the food that we're eating the vaccines that are being pushed on our children or the fact that we're dealing with this invisible toxin without our knowledge and consent and without stated studies that are not relevant in the modern world that we're living in yeah it reminds me a lot of the pesticide fight that we're in right now because that's another thing that parents cannot get away from you're breathing it in it's it's in your water it's on your food it's like you you cannot do anything about it and it's harming us that's what we want to see you know laws tightened up on the usage on some of these pesticides and sounds very similar to this it is cell-tower fight and one of the things that's very interesting you talk about liability shields we see it in the pharmaceutical industry with vaccines we saw the attempt in the farm bill to shield the agricultural companies from liability and the telecom act of 1996 as it's interpreted by the court does provide a liability shield to the telecom companies so essentially if you are harmed by wireless radiation a 5G tower near your home there is essentially nothing you can do there's no recourse there's no way to sue for damages you can't go through the American Disabilities Act they they have nothing for you it feels like this 5G infrastructure appeared basically overnight why did the rollout seem to happen so aggressively and and so quickly well the truth is that the FCC it's like the fox guarding the henhouse you know you have this revolving door the way that we see in all the different industries where people are coming in they're doing their work and then they're going back to the different wireless company or telecom companies that they came from so there is no oversight and basically what's happening now instead of protecting public health and putting the people over the profits it seems like it's the opposite and the profits come before public health or constitutional freedoms and our safety which is really a failure an epic failure on the part of so many of our governing agencies and the FCC people are reporting symptoms like you said headaches sleep disruption brain fog anxiety when they are around this really dense wireless infrastructure what does science say about all this. So the funny thing is two thirds of independent scientific studies show harm. Two thirds of the industry funded studies show no harm. So they're buying and paying for science just like all of these other corporate industries. It's the same playbook. Rinssen repeat over and over again. It doesn't matter what industry you're looking at. It is the same exact playbook. And the cost to human health, our environment, our population and the long term safety of our children is what's at stake. And I think it's really hard for people to wrap their brains around the fact that these agencies that were supposed to be put in place to protect public health are failing so miserably and that you can't trust anything that comes out of them. I think the silver lining of COVID was it eroded that trust in a way? So I think a lot more people are questioning now. But this conversation around wireless radiation is such an important one because there's so many things at stake right now specifically. We have that bill HR2289 which right now is on pause thanks to a lot of action with Maha. They had a rules committee hearing that was supposed to happen in April and we squash that thank God. But that bill essentially looks to take away any of the local control that's left. So right now section 704 the Telecommunications Act of 1996 eliminated local communities from considering the impacts of wireless radiation when it comes to your health and the environment which are two very important things. We don't have the ability to do that right now. So what we do have in local communities is the ability to look at the aesthetics, historic preservation and property values, fire, fire safety, zoning permits. Those are things that we can still look at local communities. HR2289 what it's looking to do is basically eliminate any regulation and just be able to fast track these technologies. So essentially, just like in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, you wouldn't know that a cell tower is coming until those trucks show up to start clearing ground and building that infrastructure. And they want to take away the ability for people to have those meetings in their communities at their local boards. So no one would have a voice. And let's face it, federal preemption in this situation, the federal government does not know these local communities the way that the residents and the local government does. So they're best suited to make decisions about where cell towers should and should not go. And the fact that we're trying to eliminate them from the discussion and just fast track the deployment of all this infrastructure when these the guidelines that we're looking at are 30 years old and have not been updated since then is insane to me. Yeah, Senator Ted Cruz leads up the committee that's in charge of this and some of the people in our group had a meeting with them last week and not him specifically, but his staffer and his staff was like, I've never seen anything to show any concern when it comes to health impacts related to wireless radiation. There's over 10,000 studies that were submitted in 2021 when the court ordered them to redo. How is it that in five years you've never been exposed to these studies to take a look at it? It just shows that these people are bought by the telecom industry. I always say like a small toddler, you know, you have to think about you're in a position where you can either make positive change or making a negative change. And sadly, these corporations, the lobbying industries have really taken over our government. So I feel like a lot of these politicians have to just cover their ears, close their eyes and it's like, la, la, la, like banging their feet like toddlers. Because if you hear what it is that you're encouraging and allowing to happen on your watch and the long term impacts, let's face it, it's not just affecting my child, my grandchild, my niece, my nephew, the people now. It's affecting your family and generations to come. So there has to be some moral compass somewhere in there to say, okay, let's take a step back. Let's pause. Let's really take a look at what it is that we're doing not only to health and human safety, but let's also think about our environment because we're very big into food. What happens when pollinators, our birds, our bees cease to exist? We're going to be subject to Bill Gates' Franken food for the rest of our life. And that's not a reality I want to live into. Right. And researchers have actually observed a certain impact that cell towers have on animals and insects and plants, right? Yes, absolutely. So birds and bees operate on an internal navigation system that's sort of in line with humans' resonance and the resonance of the earth. So that's how they function. That's how they get from one place to the other. These cell towers completely disrupt their navigation systems. And we're also seeing that was a very powerful image that we shared on our social media. And it shows a tree. And the tree is beautiful, green and lush on one side and brown and dying on the other. Why? Because the part of the tree that's brown and dying is facing the emissions from the cell tower. So there is a real cost to what is happening right now. And if you think about how big global warming is, climate change, all these different things, this toxin that we're talking about, this invisible toxin of the emissions from these cell towers, is one of the biggest problems I think that's happening right now in our environment. And yet nobody is talking about it. What do you know about these smart cities that people are trying to build? Should we be concerned? You should be very concerned. And it's interesting, this is Stephanie Lucretio just doing my own research. But most of the communities that you see have these fires, lots of them are slated for smart cities. Like in Hawaii. LA. Yes. What is a smart city? Smart city, basically like everything is 15 minutes. So what they're trying to do and what I think is coming is more of like a global warming crisis where you have to justify your travel, justify the drive, justify wirelessly using a car with gas emissions. I don't know how this could go wrong. I mean, yeah, it's like living into the matrix. And the 5G towers have facial recognition. They have tracking capabilities. They can see things that are going on, which is why they need to be closer to the end user. So this all sort of builds into this privacy and surveillance nightmare that we're living into. And you know what? This is why they want everybody on these freaking Teslas in EVs. And here's the thing. And then they just try to pass that that bill where they would be able to like remotely turn your car off. You know that terrifying. You could not pay me to drive a Tesla. Oh, same. I have been so anti Tesla from the beginning. Yes. These waymos. And it's terrifying. I've never seen them until I was in Austin for our conference. I don't know who would get in a car that's driven by nobody and just has like some sort of a computer that's taking you around. It's it's insane. It's like a horrific or well-earned nightmare that I just want to wake up from. What do you know about electric vehicles and Tesla's and their impact on health? Electric vehicles are such a huge source of electromagnetic radiation. I have a safe and sound pro meter, which is a meter that detects radiation. It was something that was sent to me for my work. And while it was a blessing, it's also a curse because when you turn that thing on and you see how much radiation you were living in, it is insane. I mean everything from your refrigerator to your smart devices, your security system, your robot vacuum that's going around. But the interesting thing is there's one side of my house that emanates at a much higher frequency than the other. And why is that? Because my neighbor who's you know, further away, but still close enough has an electric vehicle. Those electric vehicles are hot zones. There is so much radio, a rowireless radiation in them. People get sick from driving them. Oh, well, I know that. They try to say it's like a motion thing because you don't feel like the acceleration and speed and things like that that it makes people have motion sickness. But you think that might be true, but then also just some radiation. Definitely radiation. And that's a thing with with these newer cars. Even like the cars that aren't electric, all these different Bluetooth systems and the navigation and all the fancy bells and whistles being able to control it from an app, that all equals an increased exposure to wireless radiation. It comes at a cost. Yes, it's convenient, but there is a cost. Everyone's talking about taking control of their health right now. And I love that people are finally waking up to the fact that waiting until you feel awful is not a strategy. But let's be honest, a lot of these health platforms still feel overwhelming, confusing or honestly kind of passive. That's why I've been so impressed with Gevity and yes, if you've heard of function health, Gevity is in that same world of data driven health optimization, but with way more support and personalization. Gevity starts with comprehensive at home blood work. And when I say comprehensive, I mean, over 90 biomarkers, not the bare minimum labs your doctor runs once a year. They literally send a phlebotomist to your house, so it's incredibly easy. And then you meet virtually with their team and they actually build a personalized plan for you based on your labs, your hormones, your nutrient levels, gut health, all of it. They can even do advanced testing like Dutch hormone tests and GI map for your gut health. And what I love is they don't just hand you data and then disappear. They help you understand what your blood work means. They're going to create that plan with you and make sure it actually is conducive to your lifestyle and your goals and send your custom supplements or therapies that you choose right to your door. This is Health Optimization that actually feels doable. Go to gogevity.com, use code Alex for 20% off your first year. That's gogevity.com, code Alex for 20% off your first year. Millennial ladies, I'm saying this with love, but also with urgency. Some of you are aging like you've given up. You're doing nothing. No plan, no strategy, just vibes. And the vibe is decline. If you don't start taking care of your hair, your skin, your nails, your gut, you're gonna wake up one day, look in the mirror and realize you've become Lady Elaine Fairchild. And no, one warned you, you're gonna be like, why do I look like I live behind a red curtain and judge children? Because you did nothing. This is why I take cowboy colostrum in my smoothie every morning. This is first milking colostrum collected within four to six hours from grass-fed U.S. cows. That's when it's loaded with bioactive nutrients. Okay, immunoglobulins, natural growth factors, things that your body actually needs, but you've been ignoring while you've been drinking ice coffee and hoping for the best. This stuff, support your gut, your immune system, your skin, your hair, your entire, do I look alive or imbalmed situation? And unlike other brands that water it down, second third milking, you know, they're stripping it into some sad powder, I'm telling you, there's no other colostrum powder out there that is as good as cowboy. Cowboy keeps it whole, full nutrients, full fat. It's the difference between eating a steak and chewing on an napkin, basically. Also, they take care of the calves first, those babies eat, all right, it's only the extra that we're getting. This isn't some kind of twisted milk cartel situation, all right, you just scoop it into water, coffee is smoothie, and suddenly your functioning, your skin is better, your hair is better, your gut isn't staging a protest, and it tastes so freaking good. The vanilla is just like a milkshake, you can mix it with yogurt, ice coffee, or just A2 or raw milk. The strawberry is also fantastic in milk, and it's all clean and real fruit. Your kids will love this. You actually have to do something if you don't want to deteriorate. You can't just sit there and be like, I drink water sometimes, no, you need reinforcements in your late 20s and 30s. Use code Alex for 25% off at cowboyclostrum.com. Again, code Alex for 25% off at cowboyclostrum.com, or don't, and I'll see you on the trolley, lady Elaine. What is the argument against putting cell towers near playgrounds and churches and residential neighborhoods in schools? The truth is that it's not safe. It's not necessary. Our children are exposed to enough wireless radiation. There is absolutely no reason why a site for a cell tower, a small cell, or regular, should fall in a place where children are spending six to eight hours a day already propped up on a computer in front of Wi-Fi. I mean, the involuntary exposure from that tower is just unimaginable. And you see, there was a story that I did years ago with a woman whose son moved into a college, and there was a tower right outside of his dorm. He'd develop brain cancer within a couple of years and died. I mean, these are real stories. This is real. And people say, oh, tinfoil wearing hat, you're a dinosaur, like all the things. And it's tobacco science. In years to come, there's going to be a reckoning. And it's just like COVID times. When I was out there protesting, saying, no masks, no vaccine mandates, people thought I was crazy, I was Karen, I was all the things. And years later, so many people have come to me, and they said, oh my god, wow. I cannot believe that that actually happens, and you called it. I'm not looking to be right. I am here to warn people that it is time right now to do something, because once this deployment happens, going back is not possible, and even if it is possible, it's certainly not going to be easy. It's going to take years of litigation while we live in the toxic environment that's created by all of these cell towers. Who knows what could happen in the timeframe that it takes to undo what's done? Are children uniquely vulnerable to wireless radiation? Yeah, they absorb 10 times more than adults. And that's primarily because if they're developing bodies and brains, they're developing nervous system, they have thinner skulls, so they are especially vulnerable to wireless radiation, and parents need to be very aware. We know devices are part of life right now. There's a lot of things. It's, don't keep it on your body. Distance and really monitoring how long. If you need a babysitter, I would much rather see parents put their kids in front of a TV instead of having them on a tablet on their lap for hours on ends. You can download the content instead of having them stream it to at least that device is on airplane mode, so it dramatically reduces the emissions from that device when you do that. But there is a cost because they're spending so much time and you see it in restaurants. We go out to restaurants. I'm amazed how one and two-year-old kids are just like, they're proficient. Well, I just don't understand, and you know, I don't have kids yet. So anytime I give an opinion on any of this stuff, it's like, we can't have kids, so you don't know. Look, all I'm going to say is, how did any other family do this? How did any other family go out to eat, you know, before 30 years ago? Coloring books, crayons. Imagination. I spy with my little life. You don't know it's impossible. You're not a parent yet. I'm like, I don't even think you have-- you don't have to be a parent to be able to look at history and say, how did all these people do this before? Let's take a moment to think about. Yes, we're talking about the exposure from the tablet, the Wi-Fi, all the things, definitely a concern. But let's also look at the generation of children that we're raising right now as a result of this obsession with technology. They don't have the social skills that, you know, my generation had. They aren't able to carry conversations, make eye contact, the depression rates, the suicide rates, the toxic things that they're exposed to on those tablets, scrolling through social media, seeing over-sexualized content, you know, bullying online. There's so many things that this has opened up that as a parent, you now need to worry about that we didn't have when I was growing up. And even when my son was growing up, he's 18. It's much different. Is there long-term safety data on the impact this stuff could have on humans? There's no safety data. The only safety data that we have are the outdated exposure guidelines from the '90s that aren't applicable in a modern world right now. So we have tens of thousands of studies that show harm, but it's not making any of a difference because the wireless infrastructure just continues to roll out very rapidly despite the concern. So when skeptics say, look, Stephanie, if this stuff was dangerous, we would know by now. What do you say? I say, let's think about the images in the '50s and '60s of pregnant women smoking cigarettes and people saying, "Oh, it's safe, it's great." And then let's look at where we are now where you see that commercial where the woman has the tric pipe and say, "It caused harm." They lied. They knew that they were lying. People were tricked into believing it. History repeats itself. You know, it's rinse and repeat over and over again. The playbook is the same. What has to change is the evolution of human beings and not just taking things for face value, asking the questions, being critically thinking, being willing to stand up and stand out in a world where blending in seems to be the popular thing to do. We cannot let complacency and just blindly believing what industry, quote, experts tell us without doing the research ourselves, questioning, looking around and really observing what is happening in our world. We have a chronically ill population of children and it is a combination of all of the things, the food, the air, the water, the vaccines, the exposure to wireless radiation. It is a combination of everything and the why has to be the thing that gives us the courage to be brave enough to stand up and say the hard things, ask the hard questions. Maybe I am a tinfoil wearing hat person, but you know what, in years to come, I'm going to be able to look back and say, I did everything I could to protect my family and to educate other families on what it is they could do to protect themselves. Whether or not you choose to take those steps, you can take the horse to water, but you can make them drink. So what is the solution then? What are you fighting for or asking for? Because obviously we can't just not have Wi-Fi anymore. I mean, nobody's going to go for that. So what is a practical solution that you would like to see implemented? We're not anti-technology, but I think that we need to look at ways that we can mitigate. So a couple of things that you can do at home. First of all, if you can hardwire devices that you're using in your house, you can run broadband cable. It's pretty easy. My husband did it in my house with all of our devices. My computer is hardwired or all of my TVs are hardwired, looking at your environment. In my office, before I was aware of this, I had a wireless keyboard. I had a wireless mouse. My Wi-Fi was on. My Bluetooth was on. Taking a look at all of your devices, shutting off the antennas. If you look at your phone right now, your Wi-Fi and your Bluetooth are always on unless you shut it off. What happens when you have that on? Your phone is in an active state of searching to connect to something that it's not going to find unless you're telling it what to connect to. So that raises the RF radiation in those devices. So shutting off those antennas is a huge thing. Keeping the phone out of your pocket, your bra, your way spans away from your body. On airplane mode, preferably when you're not using it. 'Cause we do see a huge difference when a phone is in airplane mode with the antennas off. That's a caveat because airplane mode now, your Wi-Fi can still be on. So what do you mean turn your antennas off? So if you go to your phone and you swipe down, you'll see that you have the Wi-Fi, it's on and the Bluetooth are on. The little green tab. And the little blue tab that the Bluetooth off. You click those off. And then at night when you go to sleep, airplane mode. And this is going to sound revolutionary. I do this every night. OK, good. the manual, turn off Bluetooth, turn off Wi-Fi and then I put it on airplane mode. Yeah, and this revolutionary thing is let's bring landlines back. Oh my, I am so with you and I just saw, I don't know if it was the today show or what, but there is a movement of parents that are getting landlines so that their children, their young children can communicate with their friends and then you've got this, you know, in the family common area and the kitchen or whatever, just like before. I remember you'd have to like go around the corner and the cord would wrap around so that your parents are here what you're talking about, but you know, not giving kids a device to take privately into their own space without adults around, I just feel like so many problems are coming from us. A touch of problem. I mean, I said to my son the other day, like you have no idea what it's like when you have a girlfriend or a boyfriend, I mean, I used to have to call the family house and be like, "Hi, can I speak to so-and-so, like, hi Mrs. So-and-so, they don't have to do that anymore." And the as much privacy as you got was as long as the phone court was. Those were the 80s and the 90s and I'm saying we have to go back there, but having a landline, it does a couple of things. At night, my family knows if they need me in the middle of the night, do not call myself them because you're not going to get me. You need to call my landline. Now, when that thing rings in the middle of the night, it's happened a few times. It's like heart attack central, but at least they have a way to reach me and I'm not exposing myself to wireless radiation while I sleep. The other thing you can do with each of your carriers, you can actually forward your phone calls from your cell phone to your landline if you're home. So with Verizon at star 72, with the number that you want to forward it to, and then when you're ready to cancel it, you do star 73. Each provider has a different prompt, but it's as easy as Googling it. Yeah. So when you're home, you can forward all of your calls to your landline so that you don't have to worry about carrying the phone, putting it on speaker phone, having the wired headphones in your ear, you can just use your good old landline, wired is the best one. But if you want to go a portable phone, I'd rather see you do that than a cell phone. At night, having a sleep sanctuary, making sure there are no tablets, devices, anything in your room. If there are there, they're on airplane mode. And then thinking about looking around your environment and seeing, can you eliminate wireless devices, mouses, you know, we have Wi-Fi enabled refrigerators, is that really necessary? I don't think so. Looking to see if you have smart utility meters installed in your house. And in most states, you have an opt out, you can pay between $10 and $20 a month, opt out of the smart meter, which is a hot zone for wireless radiation, and pay for an analog one or, you know, another version of it that is much lower in the frequency levels. So those are easy things you can do. Looking at your baby's toys, your baby's monitor, all these things are Wi-Fi enabled. I went to a prego expo about a year and a half ago, I was horrified. Babies have Wi-Fi toys? Yeah. Wi-Fi toys, Wi-Fi monitors, they have things that you put into the internet. Why does a baby put into the internet? They have things that signal to parents. So there was like this thing in the crib that, like, measures the biometrics of the baby and if the baby stops breathing, yeah, then it imps signals. I understand the wanting to know if your baby stops breathing, but what you're exposing the baby to and the process of having that device in the crib is just not a good thing. I have the most badass women who listen to this podcast, that vote, that protest, that call their legislators, like, it's their one last mission on earth. You just told us about how Congress is considering HR2289. Tell us again, like elevator pitch, what this bill does. So HR2289 would essentially eviscerate any local controls that are left. Like I said, the local control of considering health and environmental impacts is currently not a thing because of Telecommunications Act of 1996. What this would do is remove any of the additional local controls that are there, aesthetics, property, value, the ability to have public hearings to express concern. It would fast track wireless deployment, even if there was community objections. So essentially, you would not have notice. You would know when that cell tower is going up because you would see the trucks. Isn't this a federal override of local authority? Well, this federal preemption that was built into the Telecommunications Act of 1996. So basically, states don't have the ability to override the federal preemption. There's something in this bill talking about, like, deemed-approved timelines, do you know what I'm talking about? So 150 days after a permit is submitted, they would approve it. That's 150 days that it would be approved even if there is community opposition. Okay. So that basically means if local governments don't move fast enough, telecom companies just automatically win. Telecom companies, basically, yeah, they're basically clearing the path for telecom companies to just build cell towers wherever whenever they want and they want to take the path of least resistance. So however they can eliminate the voices in the background saying, no, we don't want that. That is essentially which HR2289 does. So live in a world where you could wake up at any given time and have a cell tower, a small cell or otherwise in your front yard, attach your kids' school, playground, church, office building, and there's essentially nothing you can do about it. That's why HR2289 is so important to pay attention to. Who benefits from this bill? Not us, that's for sure. The Telecom companies benefit a lot. And that's the way it is. I mean, it's the end user is always the one that deals with the negative impacts while big industry just cleans up and it's like this never-ending wheel of getsick, you know, prescribes I agnose prescribes, I agnose, no liability, no accountability, and we pay the price. I'm not exaggerating when I say that more than almost any product I've ever talked about on this show, people stop me in public to tell me about their Jasper. I'm serious. People have come up to me at events at airports, restaurants, and they're like, oh, yeah, I bought one, my sleep is completely different, or my allergies are gone, or I had no idea how bad the air in my house was until I got a Jasper. We had mold, we didn't know we had, and it was really helping with our symptoms. Most air purifiers are too small to actually make a meaningful difference in your home. Jasper is different. It was originally designed using the same commercial grade air scrubbing technology used for wildfire smoke, mold remediation, and disaster cleanup, but built for everyday home use. It captures ultra fine particles like dust, pollen, smoke, pet dander, and mold spores. It also removes VOCs from things like cleaning products, furniture, paint, and all of the hidden chemicals that can affect your indoor air quality. If you are painting your child's nursery right now, do not do that without a Jasper going in there while you're painting if you're not using non-toxic paint. The reality is that many of our homes were never designed with air quality in mind. There's actually a term for it, sick building syndrome. Jasper helps solve that problem. If you're serious about your family's health, you're sleep, and creating a truly clean home environment, this is one of the best investments you can make. Visit Jasper.co, J-A-S-P-R.co, use code Alex, you'll get $200 off your Jasper. That's Jasper.co, J-A-S-P-R.co, code Alex for $200 off. They do have an option that you can opt out of or use, which is a subscription to get your air filters every six months sent to you. Highly recommend this, because I don't know about you, but I totally forget. When it's been six months and when I need one, I just like that it comes straight to my door automatically charges me, so that's what I would do. For the longest time, I thought Criatine was only for the crazy gym rats, but the more I dug into the research, the more I realize that people are taking Criatine for reasons that I've nothing to do with getting bigger muscles. Yeah, Criatine is one of the most studied supplements for strength, power, and recovery, but what's really fascinating is this growing research looking into its potential role in cognitive function, mental performance, and even mood support. That is what got my attention, and the reason I chose Peoree Criatine Plus, Peoree is spelled P-U-O-R-I, is because it's not just Criatine, so each serving of Peoree Criatine Plus combines five grams of Criatine monohydrate with 400 milligrams of TORI. Now, both ingredients are known for their role in energy support during high intensity exercise, and emerging research suggests that they may also support cognitive performance and mental clarity, but I loved Peoree's transparency the most. I'm really, really picky about supplements, and Peoree is the only brand of Criatine that I have found, with the Clean Label Project Transparency Certificate. So every single batch of Peoree Criatine is independently tested for more than 200 contaminants and they publish the results online. You can literally scan the QR code on the bag, and you can see the test results for your specific batch. So that is the kind of transparency that I wish every single supplement company had. Go to Peoree.com, p-u-o-r-i, dot com slash Alex, and use code Alex, to get 32% off your first Peoree Criatine Plus order when you start a subscription, you're going to save more than $23. That's Peoree.com slash Alex, use code Alex that check out for 32% off your subscription. Why is there basically no news coverage on this? Well, talk about capture, there you go, captured in the sense that a lot of these news coverage stations do not want to cover things that are considered controversial or conspiracy theorists related. Why is this conspiracy? I don't understand. It isn't conspiracy. But because big industry basically owns everything in this country, censorship is a real thing. So you're not going to see this on your local news station, just like you'll never see stories about people who have been vaccine injury. I mean, you might see them now because of Ron Johnson and all the work that he's doing, he's taken it on. For years and years, decades and decades of parents with children with autism screaming from the rooftops that vaccines injured their children, you would never see this. On a show all you do see is that this is sponsored by Pfizer. This is, this is what they do. How much power do telecom lobbyists have in Washington? It seems like a lot. The Republican Party seems to be bought by the telecom companies. Like I said, Senator Cruz is someone that we really need to focus on because he needs to demand that the FCC do what we're asking them to do, which is to comply with the court order from 2021. It's five years. We've given them plenty of time to show us how these outdated guidelines protect public health and the environment. And they have not done that. What is the message that lawmakers need to hear from parents right now? Parents are watching. We're paying attention. We're plugged in. We're tuned in. And we are seeing our children suffer. We're seeing the sickest generation of children coming up right now. And we're seeing a government that frankly is doing nothing about it. And I think that we've all had it. And it's time to hold their feet to the fire to say that we will not stop until the governing agencies that are put in place to protect public health and upholds constitutional rights, protect our safety, actually do their job and stop taking money from lobbying corporations, big industry, and turning a blind eye to the rally cries of the people and the constituents who they're supposed to support. You created something called Spring Clean Your Wireless World. What is that? Spring Clean Your Wireless World was our March campaign. And it was an effort to really bring in people that are sort of new to this exposure and figuring out how to mitigate and identify where it comes from. And the thought was it can be very overwhelming when you're getting into this work. I know I was completely overwhelmed when I first learned about it. So I wanted to break it down into little bite-sized pieces. So there's some resources on our website 704nomor.org. If you go to the Educational Resources tab and you go to other resources, those flyers, both the identify the exposure and mitigate the exposure are still there. And it takes you on a tour, like a scavenger hunt of your house, like looking at do you have smart meters? What devices are smart? Smart thermostat, smart bell, security systems, all the way down to your wearables, what you're putting on your body, your watch, your AirPods, where are your Wi-Fi routers in your house? Do you feel good about oral rings since you can wear it on airplane mode and it collects data? I don't wear anything that's wearable. Okay. I just won't do it. And sometimes I'm a yoga teacher, I'm a fitness enthusiast, and like that whole like zone three, zone four, like feeling what it is. It would be helpful, but I just I won't give in because I don't like the data collection and I definitely don't want the exposure. Are there changes that cost nothing, but dramatically reduce exposure? The biggest change that costs nothing and dramatically reduces exposure is distance. Distance, shutting off the antennas, putting your phone on airplane mode, huge. Those are things that you can easily do right now. And making sure that you're paying attention to how much time you're spending, I mean our screen time amounts are out of control. Bad for the eyes, bad for the brain, bad for the body, bad for the anxiety, like it especially in our children. So time really limiting the amount of time that you're spending on those devices, picking up books instead of reading it on the thing, like going going for the hard covers instead of doing everything through technology, ask yourself the question, do I really need to do it this way or is there something easy I can do? And like I said, the wiring, the downloading, those are simple things that cost nothing, but really make a big difference. So there's 10,000 studies that have been done on harm that is coming from EMS. I know that we're still missing a lot of long-term safety data when it comes to Bluetooth or other cell towers and other wireless exposures. Where can people find the studies that we do have? So there's a lot on the Children's Health Defense.org website. There's also another website. So stop 5g.org is a initiative of Children's Health Defense. And basically it's a community empowerment consulting program. So our attorneys, some of the people in our EMRs Department work with local communities. There's do it yourself. Resources on there that help to stop towers that are coming up in your area all the way to hiring our team to help fight a cell tower in your area. There's lots of studies on that website. Environmental Health Trust has studies on their website. So there's tons. You just have to look for them. We had yesterday some big news with Children's Health Defense CHU filed a federal court case and basically demands that the FCC comply with the 2021 court order to re-examine those outdated guidelines and provide written explanation as to why they're still relevant and protecting public health in the environment. So we know that the public opinion influences the court. So along with this case, we now have a new action alert that's out there. So I want to have everybody that's listening. Take out their phones and you're going to text to the phone number 55444. That's the phone number. The message is going to be simply FCC. And what this is going to do is it's going to take you through a prompt to fill out our action alert. Through this action alert, you're going to be telling President Trump, Congress and the FCC commissioner that we want the FCC to update their outdated guidelines. And until they do so, we want to halt the rapid expansion of this wireless infrastructure, because we need to know what's happening. It's unacceptable that it's been five years and nothing has been done. So it's so important that people listening take these actions. These one-click actions really do make a difference. But more so than that, making it a point to reach out to your legislators to have conversations. My dad always says this, they put their pants on the same way as you. So it's really not about being intimidated by having these conversations. But rather, channeling that why and what's at stake for you and your family. And just going to have a conversation about your concerns when it comes to this issue of radio frequency radiation and letting them know that we're not on board with unchecked expansion. And we want to make sure that they are accountable. And that this is safe. We know that it's not. But they need to stop it until we have these guidelines. It's so important. And guys, we know that this works, like look at what we did with the farm bill and the pesticide liability shield. So they really do listen when we start lighting them up on, you know, email or phones. They do notice that. And it makes a huge difference. So Stephanie's 100% right. So let's go girls. And with the midterms coming, let's face it. Maha is one of the main reasons that Trump got into office because we tilted the scales with Kennedy being involved. Maha is not happy about a lot of things right now. So I feel like it is due time to continue to express that dissatisfaction with the things that we're talking about related to telecom, the ag bills, we need to stay active, stay vocal and just keep on them. We will win if we stay on them. If you could offer one remedy to healistic culture, it could be physically emotionally or spiritually. What would it be? I think that people need to disconnect not only for the exposure, but for the mental things. Like think about how often you have quiet time. We live in such an overstimulated world. And the anxiety and the stress that so many people feel, I think, is a result of our minds and our bodies constantly being in that fight or flight. So taking time to disconnect not only from mitigation purposes, but from mental health purposes, clearing your mind, feeling into your body, breathing with intention, seeing things through eyes that are clear versus being distracted. We miss so much beauty in life because we're constantly looking down at our phone and we're missing what's right in front of us. I say to my son all the time, connect with the three-dimensional people. Stop worrying about what's happening on the screens. And I'm guilty of doing it too. I mean, it's a temptation that's there always, but really looking at what the cost is to the relationships that you have with your family, the cost is to your health, the cost is to the environment. There's so many costs. If we can take time to really put away the devices and just be present, I feel like the world would be a much kinder, much healthier place. Stephanie, thanks for coming on CulturePathacary. Thank you so much for having me. I think what makes conversations like this so unsettling is that they force people to confront something that modern culture is very uncomfortable with. The possibility that convenience and progress are not always synonymous with safety. New episodes come out every Monday and Thursday at 6pm Pacific, 9pm Eastern, anywhere you get your podcast. Podcast Summary

Key Points:

  1. Exposure to radiofrequency (RF) radiation from cell towers, Wi-Fi, and 5G is real and linked to symptoms like headaches, dizziness, and sleep disruption, despite being invisible and undetectable by senses.
  2. Current wireless safety standards, established in the 1990s, are outdated and fail to account for modern technology, with no long-term studies on the health impacts of chronic, daily exposure, especially for children.
  3. The Telecommunications Act of 1996 and proposed legislation like HR2289 eliminate local communities' ability to regulate or protest wireless tower placements near schools, homes, and playgrounds, undermining public health and environmental oversight.

Summary:

FAQs

RF radiation, or radio frequency radiation, is electromagnetic radiation emitted by wireless devices and infrastructure such as cell phones, Wi-Fi routers, Bluetooth devices, and cell towers.

No, current safety standards are based on research from the 1990s and have not been updated to reflect today's levels of wireless exposure, including 5G and constant device use.

Children absorb RF radiation 10 times more than adults due to developing brains, thinner skulls, and longer lifetime exposure, making them especially vulnerable.

Simple steps include turning off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on devices, using airplane mode, hardwiring devices, keeping phones away from the body, and opting out of smart meters.

HR2289 would eliminate local control over wireless tower placements, fast-track deployments, and remove community ability to voice health or environmental concerns, undermining local decision-making.

Over 10,000 studies show potential harm, with two-thirds of independent studies indicating negative effects, while industry-funded studies often show no harm.
