This is what happens when you start to make some money and you see something cool. - You bought that? - Yes. - I didn't know if it was like a PR package or something. - Oh no, if I start getting PR packages like this, I'll be very excited about it. - How much was the jacket? - Doesn't that matter? - If to me? - You know, I know. What is it? Just tell me if I'm higher than lower than 200. - Lower. - Oh. - So that's not bad. That's why I bought it. I was like, "Damn, that's cheap." Why are you looking at it? That's so quick. That's so quick. - Oh yeah, there it is. - How much is she? - 150. - Yeah, it's nice. - Yeah. I mean, it's pretty, honestly good. When I saw it, I was like, "It's 150. Can't be good material." Pretty good material. Pretty sturdy. The embroidery ring is actually real. It's not like screened. - Right. - You know, they were making no money off me doing this. - And it's your favorite color. - It is my favorite color. And it's my favorite iteration of Spider-Man. - Which one? - The 90s show. - Oh. - Senator Six. - They were in the show. - I'm saying it looks like that's who it is. - I mean, there's only three of them on each. It's the big three. - You know. - What's on the back? - Spider-Man. - Oh. - Yeah. You didn't watch that show? - I did. - It show so good. - I like the video game too. - Fox five in the morning. - Yo, imagine you could just fucking. - Dude, I would fucking go off. Did you ever like recently look up like 1990, let's say 1997, the Saturday morning Fox five lineup? It was just fucking banger after, banger after, banger after, banger after, banger. - I love how you asked me if I randomly have looked up that lately. - Fox kids, Fox kids, Fox kids. - Dude, just like an absolute abundance of heat. Like, now kids, what are they watch now? Don't, like, all right, so let's, - I've never heard of any of that. - Yeah, those kind of suck. - Yeah, I don't know what the fuck that is. (laughing) Maybe look up '98 or '96? There was one year, maybe I'm off on the year, but there was one year which was like, oh shit. I can't see. - You're starting to get there, Patrick. - Now we're talking. - Power Rangers or Spider-Man. - Let's look at this. 8 a.m. Bobby's world. - Fuck is that? - You remember Bobby's world? - A little kid riding in the tricycle? - No. - That was, believe it or, that show holds a special place in my heart 'cause I watched it as a kid and that's like the first thing Becca and I ever talked about. - Bobby's world? - Yeah, that was the first conversation. - Roughly, yeah, she had like posted like a clip from it and like she was like, what shows this from? And I responded, Bobby's world. And then look at us now. - Wow, so it's Bobby's world. - It's due to Bobby, Bobby gets all the credit. 830, Casper and or Power Rangers. So if it's 1996, it's probably Power Rangers 0. - I never, you know I never watched it. - Crazy. - I never watched Power Rangers go enough. - Crazy dude. - I wasn't born yet. - That's outrageous. - That's crazy. - I wasn't born yet. - Where were you born? But then Power Rangers are Spider-Man. That was the Spider-Man I'm referencing. - Oh, so good. - I don't remember this at all. - You remember that. - Spider-Man. Spider-Man. - Queen your wing, name's Spider-Man. - It was fucking cold, dude. She was so fucking cold. - I wish I could be like, oh man. Why I wish that superheroes were real. Like I wish there were other people talking about Spider-Man. - No, no, no, no. - I mean, you're jaded by the, by the, by like, the evil. - Well, because it, but yeah, so like, I mean, the natural dichotomy of life, if there are heroes, there shall be villains. - Yeah. - I mean, we've seen enough context to be like, it's good, it's not. Yeah, you know what I mean? Because like-- - I wish that people could fly. I wish I had a boy who was just like, yo, I could just fly at your crib. - So why don't you just say, I wish I could fly. Why do you, why does the whole world need to have heroes? - I don't need necessarily, I mean, I do wish that. - But like-- - They just say that. - Okay. - The whole world doesn't need to be a superhero. - You say that? - I'm not saying the whole world. I'm saying I wish there were some people that could do shit like that. - Yeah, but if there are some, that means there will be more and then that's scary. - What did why? - Because that means the Joker's running around and he just does like crazy shit. - No, not necessarily, you know, you'll wake up one morning and you'll just be like, oh, it's a peaceful day. Nope, the Joker's release a toxin in the water. That's gonna make everyone turn into a bunch of-- - First of all, the Joker isn't even a superhero. He has no power, he's just a guy. - I mean, but his superpower is his villainy. That's all criminals. - No, not necessarily, he's like up there. He like gets at-- - Because he lives in a fake world where he's able to pull off all these schemes and not get caught. - Or maybe he lives in a very real world. - Well, I have a question. Would you consider Batman a superhero? - God, I'm so fucking good, God damn it. - Would you consider Iron Man a superhero? - First of all, yeah, what do you mean? What's the difference? - No, I actually think that I would consider Batman a superhero. - Okay, so he can create these things. - Yes, he's using the logic against you. Where like Batman can create these things and become Batman, Joker can create chaos and become the Joker. - They both don't-- None of those people he mentioned have a traditional superpower. - But if you can create a suit that will, you're allowed to fly into outer space, that is a superhero to me. And you can blow shit up with your hand. - I mean, but, I mean, Joker is considered like the super villain of the DC universe. So like, I know, but he's, at the end of the day, he's just a dude. He doesn't have anything spectacular. - Same with Batman and-- - No, because they have something-- - They have something that makes them like exceptional. - Joker does too, it's his exceptional badguidness. - Well, my point is like, that's not realistic because he would just get caught. - Yeah, and then he could figure out a way to get himself out. He can make everyone fall in love with him. He's very charismatic. I mean, look what he did to Harleen Quinzel. - I don't know. - I mean, that's same logic. I hear what you're saying. Iron Man can't exist, but Joker could exist today. - Maybe Iron Man could do that. - I would say, I think Iron Man, we're getting there. - Probably. - There's a couple of jokers on TikTok already, honestly. - What's that mean? - Yeah, what does that mean? - There's a few guys that dress up as the Joker and run it around. - Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. - It's so stupid. - Yeah, but they're not, you know. - They're not evil. - Thank God. - They could motivate them. Let's not give them any, like, attention. - What I'm surprised about is we don't have just more masked vigilantes run around beating up people. I'm surprised we don't have more of that. - Well, vigilantes is a legitimate crime. - Right. You just wish they were like, don't you wish criminals who had a nickname? - A lot of them have. - So does Sam. - But that's not even, like, a thing anymore. - Oh, I should. - I mean, thank God. - I know. I'm not saying I'm not. - I mean, I think that they're, like, modern, like, serial killers do have nicknames. - Do they? - Yeah, like it. I mean, I don't think they're-- - But do they call themselves that? Or is they like-- - I mean, they've been embarrassing. You know what I mean? Like, if you can't lead with your nickname, but you know what I mean? If there was some guy like on the news, getting arrested, he's like, you can't do this. I'm the juggler. - You don't have to. - Yeah, that would be, everyone would look at that. Be like, that's cringe. - No, I know, but like-- - That's super cringe. - But it would make it more fun for-- I mean, don't-- - Do you need more like videos of when criminals are arrested and like a camera in their face? And they're just like, I would have gotten away with it too. If it wasn't for you meddling authorities, you know, like that, that seems fun to me. - You ever see the dude who's getting arrested? He's like, don't touch my penis. Oh, I thought you were talking about like, oh, because I had a meal. A succulent meal. - Same guy. - Is it him? - He's like, don't touch my penis. - Yeah, I've seen that one then. I don't remember the penis part of it. - He says he Instagrams his penis. - No, well, I mean, I would-- - Iconic video. - That's a good-- There's like, did you ever see like the, like the, what's it called? So like the exorcism shit, like-- - Exorcist was a big one. - That I was like, oh, this is real. Like I really thought-- - Oh, you believe in that stuff? - Well, not now, but like I believed. I guess, I don't even know, 'cause they do them. Like they do exorcisms. - I know. I've never seen, I would have to be in the room for a real one. You know what I mean to like-- - Even then though, I'd be like-- - But he was even like, when Oz was here. I was just like, I didn't believe it, and then I saw it, and I was like, fuck it, whoa dude. - But like if I saw an exorcism going on, and like they're like tied down, like no. - No, the gods, the gods, the gods, the gods. - I wouldn't need to, I'm not believing in exorcism unless there is a visible like pitch change in a voice. - And a throwing up of like a violent throwing up. - Like if they're like talking like this-- - And then the next time they're-- - Like I would need to like see that voice come out of something that like, when your life just be completely altered after that. - Yes. (laughing) - Yes, it would be so scary. - I thought about that, like-- - If exorcism was real? - If like something were to happen that were to make me find God tomorrow and become like a hyper, like, born again, Christian, or you know, whatever, this show would be violently different. - Yeah, yeah. - I would have to see some kind of floating-- - What? - Some kind of floating, I would have to say-- - What do you mean? What does that mean? - You said the exorcism. - Yeah, the changing of tongues. Oh, so like, if they're above the bed, I would need some kind of floating. 'Cause like, I could make a voice. - You know what movie scared me too, is a kid? You guys remember-- - You definitely don't. - I remember. - You remember the movie Stig Mata? - It sounds familiar. - It was like, do you remember it? - The one with the hands. - Oh, I don't remember that part of it. - Oh, that's the religious-- - Uh, no. - That's the, what Jesus is. - Yeah, that's probably what it is. - What is the Stig Mata, I think it was called? - I think it was a religiously charged horror movie. But like, it was a movie from what is it? Yeah, like, there was someone's eyes in this movie that fucked me up. It scared the shit out of me. - This is very religious. - Super wearing the crown. - Is it that third picture there where her, she's like pale white. Yeah, dude. Shit like that. Oh, no. - I just thought that was the name of the movie. - Is that, I was gonna say, is that, uh, uh, what's your name, Arquette? Patricia Arquette? - It's a lot of red. I don't know if we could show this. - A lot of red. - A lot of red. - The Stig Mata though is like, I believe it's, when Jesus got, like, nailed to the cross. Like, his hands, were they called it that? - Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That's why it's-- - Why would they call it that? - I don't know. - Why wouldn't they just call it a nail in the hand? - 'Cause I, 'cause I, something with Latin, I don't know. - Oh. But you see what I mean? Like, we wouldn't make jokes like that or talk about that movie. If we did, I'd be like, uh, yeah, chill, chill, chill. What was the, like, first scary movie you remember watching? - Aunt, while he's thinking about it, do you have an answer? 'Cause I know you're a big horror. - It's Jeepers Creepers. My grandfather sent me down and watched. - Oh yeah, we talked about that recently. - And, um, I would quit a lot. Like, I would, like, be watching a movie and be like, no. And, like, I would quit. But I remember, um, I always, I've told you this before, but like, the boy meets World Halloween episode, like, scared me. - Yes. - Like, that's not even a horror movie. - Yes, that scared me too. - Scared the fuck out of me. - That, the original exorcist, oh my god. I remember one time my mom put on Omen. You remember that movie? - The original one? - Yeah. - With Damian? - Yes. - And that freaked me out, dude. - I think the most religious I've ever been was when that movie, the remake of that movie, came out in 2006. And I think it came out on June 6th, 2006. And people were just like, what the fuck? - That's a good time to put it out, though. - I didn't go see it. I went to the Yankee game. Yankees played the Red Sox and Melkie Cabrera robbed a home run from Mani Ramirez. And I bought a shirt outside and said, got Melkie. - So the first one that really scared you was the owner. - The original exorcist, I remember watching. And I was so scared. And then I remember one of my neighbors, this older woman, she-- - It's always older women that are freaky. - Yes.
She's like, no, she's like, she's like brought it up, what are you talking about? She like brought it up again in some way, and I was like, stop, stop, stop. And then she was like, oh, and then the scene where you go, she's backwards on the stairs. And like I hadn't gotten up to that part. - That was very early on, wasn't it? - Oh, then maybe I'm thinking of something else. But that scene, like the first time I saw that, I was like scarred, like it crushed me. - I think the first and only time I've actually watched that movie was me, you, and Joanna, in her basement. - You watched the exercise? - Yeah, because like in the mid-2000s-- - Wait, when she lived on like 46th? - Yeah, in the mid-2000s, when you'd go on like those funny junk or e-bombs or something like that, and they would have those like jump scare games, the face that was always the face they used to jump scare was the girl from the exercise. - And I remember one time, we watched, and it scared the fuck out of me. - Yeah, it was terrifying. - I was old at that point, I was like 12, 13. - You remember like the extra system of Emily Rose, and it's like, this is a true story. I was like, I'm good, I'm never watching that. - Dude, so I haven't seen it. - You know what movie did that to me? The fourth kind. Do you ever see that movie? - You bring this up all the time. - Dude, that movie is-- - You bring up 16 ghosts or whatever it is? - 13 ghosts. - 13 ghosts. - That movie is kind of scary, but also it's just like kind of nostalgic. But wait, what's the sixth, the fourth kind? - It was a movie that came out in like 2009, 2010, around there. And it was about like alien abductions in Alaska. 'Cause like they say like, yes, yo, that woman's face it. Yo, that shit scared the fuck out of me, dude. And it was like her story told through MillageovaVitch. And it was like supposed to be like, this is real. 'Cause you know how they say like the third kind, like the first contact, the second contact, the third contact. Apparently the fourth contact is like, they take you and they fuck with you or some shit like that. - Okay. - And this movie scared the fuck out of me. 'Cause I was like-- - They could just come get me. - 'Cause they just had, and there's like a clip from the movie where it like, she gets like transported. And I'm like, it's real, they got it. - Yeah, yeah. - They scared the fuck out of me, dude. - I don't like anything where it's like a scary moment. It's like based on true events. I'm like, I am good. Like I don't need that, like let me just believe it's a story. - Yeah. - Also when I was younger and something was based on true events, I had no, like I couldn't conceptualize that meant, like there's a story, but there's a lot of exaggerations and there's a lot of this and that. I thought it's like they're retelling the story. - Yes, exactly. When I saw a based on a true story or based on real events, I thought like this is what happened. No way they would lie. - Yeah. - I thought like it's a little wall. - I was bright eyed and bushy tailed and I was like, this is what happened. Did you see this movie? - But even still to this day, when I see scary movies, I'm just like, I can't. - The one that is based on a true story that to this day I believe is the scariest movie I've ever seen was The Original The Strangers. That movie was, I think it's a legitimately really good movie and it hit double, as I've said in the past, because of the lake house. So like I had that like connective tissue where like I would look out and like if you just like in the middle of the night just heard. - Yeah. - Like, oh fuck, here we go. - Or like you know what I hate in scary movies when there's a scene where you're looking out at something and then it's like someone's heads like from behind a thing, but you don't realize but you only realize it until they go like behind the tree that I'm wearing. - Yes. - No, no, I'm done. Have you watched weapons yet? - No. - Oh, you got a lot of that. - Not a lot of that. There's really only, actually not, I think about it. - Just no jump scares, sometimes. - No, there are some jumpscares. - There are no jump scares in that movie? - Brother, that's more than none. Yeah, but in an hour and 40 minute movie, this is really not, brother, it's, I think it's, I mean, we're especially now since we're in Halloween season. It's worth the watch. But the jump scares that always get me are where they do like the fake out, where it'll be like, they're in like a tense, and then like a cat jumps out and they're like, "Oh, and they lure you into that false sense of security and then bang, the other one hits you right there." - Yeah, I like the ones that stretch it. It's like in paranormal activity, I think the third one, the camera was oscillating. - Yes. So I don't think oscillating is panning is the word. - Panning? If it goes back and forth. - Yeah, really? I'm so sorry, that was fucked up with me. - It was fine. - Well, 'cause in my head I thought you were an idiot. - It's fine, that happens. And so it would show the kitchen and then the living room and then slowly the kitchen again and the living room just like shit would just appear something I'm not scared. - Yeah, like it would cut back, I remember. I've watched all those movies. - I don't like it. Okay, we have ads. - Oh, we're gonna keep, I like talking about horror stuff. It's spooky. - Yeah! - That was genuine, genuine. - Sorry. You also wanna just appear professional in Squarespace can help you do that 'cause they have a bunch of templates that make it very easy to populate a professional looking website, all you really have to do is switch out the fonts and the photo so you don't have to be this like very intelligent coder or something like that. I say that every single time, but I think it's true. Today is Monday, I usually do my therapy today so I just got done with doing therapy, but it's good for everyone. I think that even if you're not going through something traumatic, you don't really necessarily need that. It's just good to have a non-bias person that you can kind of talk to and help organize all of your thoughts and it's nice, it's therapeutic. That's why they call it that, but BetterHelp also is great because it is more affordable than in-person therapy a lot of the time and it's also customizable so you can go at your leisure and set that up with your own therapist and make it very easy to find a therapist that you kind of vibe with 'cause that's very important as well. But yeah, if you've been waiting to start therapy, BetterHelp works with more than 125 health plan networks and eligible members have an average copay of just $23 per session with insurance. If you don't have insurance or don't have a United States, you can still get 10% off of your first month. You can visit BetterHelp.com/Basemeyard to explore your payment options. That is BetterHelp, B-E-T-T-E-R-H-E-L-P.com/Basemeyard to get started on that. Thank you guys. We love you. I kind of keep this spooky train going, you know what I'm saying? I got more spooky questions for you. Okay. The kind of like big three of like horror movie icons are Freddie, Jason and Michael Myers. I don't care what you think about the movies because I don't think you've probably seen many if any of them. I've seen some, but yeah, a lot. Of the three of them, who would scare you the most if you turned on your light and saw them there? Pretty quicker. Really? Who would be, I mean, I would, I at least think I have a chance against Freddie Krueger. You have no chance against it. How would you think that? If I bring him into the real world, he's like a five foot nine skinny dude with razor hands. Yeah, but or I'm going up against Mike Myers, not Mike Myers. He'll be against Canadian legend Mike Myers. Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees who are both like six, eight and like three, twenty. Yeah, but Mike, like Michael, what I'm just going to call him Mike, but good old Mike, Mike Myers walks slow. Yeah, but Jason's tough. I didn't realize you were bringing Freddie into the real world because you have that power now. I didn't realize you were doing that. I said, you turn on the light and you see them in your door. Yeah, but you could be asleep. Yeah, but if a guy with like no skin, he has skin. It's just been burnt. Oh, is that what that is? Do you remember why it got burnt? No. He was a child predator. Oh, yeah, the parents, the parents burnt them. Yeah, got it. Yeah. One of the movies made it if he was if he was guilty or not, but he was. He was. Yeah, he did it. Yeah, no one is stepping up to defend known child predator, Freddie Krueger. I honestly did. I know that. Yeah. Um, but I think that he's like the scary is looking really. I feel like Jason Voorhees, dude, he's got like a mask on. It's like. Oh, if you turn on the light and you saw a six, seven, hunk of a man with a fucking old school hockey mask on and a machete in his hand and a denim jacket to denim jacket. I mean, he's dressed mostly like a person, but this guy, he's got swords for hands, basically. One, one hand. The other one is just normal. Okay. So he's got like a hand. So if you could just isolate that hand and it's a glove, watch this. Isolated. Done. What do you mean? If you just hold the hand, is that not his hand? No, it's a glove. Oh, it's a glove with with knives on it. I don't think you've seen any of them, you know, it's been a while. It's been a while. The scary part about Freddie Krueger is he can make that desk like eat you. Yeah. That's the scary part. Yes. How you fighting a desk that could eat you? Well, yeah, that's he's he's the only one of them that has like mystic powers. I mean, I guess you could you could stretch it to that day. The other two do as well. They have powers of undying, I guess. I think it's just like the physically imposing part of it would be the most scary. Jason did punch the head clean off a man. He did. Yeah. Yeah. Did do that. Oh, I think I've seen that. Oh, no. Maybe it's from Jason takes Manhattan and he's he's on a Manhattan rooftop and he's like a black dude. He's like a boxer. Yeah. And then finally Jason just goes one shot and literally hits his head off of his shoulders. I mean. Like the twilight movies. Oh, yeah. Everyone's getting their head ripped off. Yeah. They're strong in those movies. So surprising that you'd be most afraid physically of, I think it's like the scariest. Like if I saw someone, I thought he had no skin. Like I thought that he would that was like muscle in your face. Okay. I don't know. He was like burnt. Yeah. It's the burnt skin. That's right. Okay. So like I thought that. So I'm like someone with no skin with a knife. I'm going to add one in here that I know will be the one that you pick. Uh, those three or Samara Samara from no any any sort of like small girl with long hair. I'm good. Yeah. There's no way in like a little white dress. I'm good. You know, like people rag on Chuck E, but I think Chuck E would be very scary. Chuck E would be terrifying. A doll. Let me explain something to you. Here's why I don't give a fuck about any of those child, uh, the child's play movies or any of the Chuck E. If I am in a situation where I die by Chuck E, I deserve to be dead. Stop. But he's sneaky. No, he's not. You know, I'm still in a room with a doll like you're like, I'm sorry. You're not convincing me that this little fucker is going to kill me. Dude. If you saw Chuck E and he was all over there and he ran behind the couch, not you got to like, where do you, where do you go behind the couch? Hill. But I saw what you mean where I saw where he went. He also, I don't like little things that are quick. Yeah. Yeah. But then guess what? If he runs at me with a knife, guess what I'm going to do, turn into Adam Venetary. I'm going to kick his heart and as swift as I can. I haven't seen the Chuck E movies in a long time, but I assume people attempt to kick him. They do. He has the strength of a grown man. Also, he knows. Wait, he does? Yeah. Also, he knows voodoo. He knows voodoo. Yeah. Well, yeah, that's what got Chuck E into Chuck E. So what does that mean? He's able to like, make a little doll of you and like, fuck with you. He could like fully just possess Frankie, if he wanted. Like Frankie. I haven't seen those parts in the movies. Good. Yes. Good. I saw the one where he made a fucking what's her name, Jennifer Tilly, his lady Chuck E and then they bombed. Yeah. They like, fuck each other as dolls, right? They fully have sex. Bro, dolls have needs. It's fair. Dolls have needs. Oh man. Oh man. The fucking. I think the one that would be the most scary would be the giant fucking hockey mask wearing man. Yeah. But that's scary because it's like, oh my god. But that's the same kind of fear that I would have if like a person that size broke into my house. But if you add the layer of someone's breaking into my house and then they look like a fucking like, like a Halloween monster with a five razors in their head, I'd be like, bro, someone breaking in with a mask is like, all right, I've seen that. Someone breaking in with like a knife glove. I'm like, what is that? Yeah. And then like also like a cowboy hat or some shit and try to wear a fedora and striped stripes. Stripes come on. Stripes is the scariest part. I mean, I haven't, I don't really, you know, you don't really see people wearing stripes. Uh, don't trust anybody wearing striped. Yeah. I wonder, I wonder what other horror icon. I mean, pinhead is pretty scary. Pinhead is scary. Pinhead. Any of those scenabytes, as they're called, it's already over at that point. If pinhead gets you, it's already over. He's big, isn't he? Is he tall? It's not that he's tall. He's just got like powers where he'll, he'll like put you in like a knife room. He'll put you in a room that's just like the floor is razor blades. Yeah, but it's supposed to be like a sexy thing. He's sexy. Yeah, kind of real. Oh, well, it is a little like massacit like, like leather face is tough. Also, isn't that a real story too? It's based off of Edgine, like who like, you know, allegedly, I don't think it's been arguably worse than yeah, I don't think it's been like confirmed that he like sold human stuff. I mean, definitely, he, yeah, he like maids and I'm shrieked up proud. Scream really got me like whenever my phone rang, I'd be scared. There's not many more of like the other one.
- One with the, also, yo, a bloody Mary, like. - Oh shit, candy man. - Oh, like in the mirror at night, I'd be like, yo, I don't want to look at a mirror at night when I was younger, 'cause I was afraid that I was gonna summon something. - Yo, pinhead was crazy, dude. - Dude, that's why. - Pinhead was crazy, death, cool. Norman Bates, just a guy. - Oh, jigsaw. - Jigsaw, if I saw that puppet come into the room, I mean, I'm gonna hit it, but also I know like there's someone with a pig mask here. - Yeah, it's too late. - Yeah. - There's someone with a pig mask. - Any of those movies? - I saw one and two. - Good place to stop, honestly. - Oh, the four. - What's the one with the murder carousel? Is that four? - I don't know, dude, come on. It just became torture porn at a certain point in time. - Saw one was one of the best movies I've seen. - Yeah, I agree. - The first time I saw it, I was like, yo, this is such a good movie. - I agree. - Even two. - Two was like, all right, but it's like, it's definitely not one, and then I kind of gave it. - Two, they threw that girl, Amanda, and to the thing with the needles. - I hated that a lot. - Whoa, dude. Didn't like that a lot. - That's crazy. Honestly, she might have walked out there, but like Jigsaw put her in a very unwinnable situation with all the fucking things that she needs to get tested for after that by the face, Jason. It's the top three of the top three. - Staying on the Halloweeny of it all, we did right before set up this thing, where we're gonna draft Halloween candy. However, we're gonna do it in a way that like, you have to have two chocolates, you have to have two like sugar type, whatever, candies, and then one non-traditional. And we can argue whether if the, whatever people pick is traditional, non-traditional. We did take some off to make it interesting, so no races, no twigs, no M&Ms, and then no skittles, no starbursts, no nerds. So you can't draft those, we're taking the big hitters off. - Well those are the easy ones. I mean, obviously, we would all just argue over those, so that we had to force ourselves to get a little creative. - Even though I would have not drafted nerds in a thousand rounds. - Love nerds, man, especially if we're getting into like the gummy clusters and rope of it all. - Whoa, are we not adding them? - Well, I said no nerds. We said no M&Ms, so that's all M&Ms, no nerds, all nerds. - Yeah, I asked someone, if it's all M&Ms, he said yeah, all M&Ms. - Oh wow, okay. Well that changes some of my stuff here. - How do we figure out? - Who goes first? - Who goes first? - And who goes second? - I think realistically, me and you go first and second. - What is it? - Then he gets the snake then. - I'll snake. - All right, so can we do like a three-sided coin? - How would I present? - There's gotta be a three-sided coin thing that we could flip. - I don't know, a three-sided coin, probably like-- - A three-sided die. - Numbers one, two, three, or just do a generator. - There's a three-sided die. It's a triangle. - Oh, okay. So wait, who's one, who's two, and who's three? Wait, can you just roll that just to see what happens? - Yeah, there's six signs. - No, no, no. What, there's an easy, we could probably, I'm thinking of a number between one and 10. - No, see, no. - So we'll roll the four-sided one until it's a one, two, or three. If it lands on four, we'll just roll again. - Okay, I'm fine with that. - All right, so-- - And then same until it's the other two. - One, two, three. - All right, I'll be two. - All right, I'll be one. - Okay, so this is for first. - This is for first. - Well, no, this is the-- - Well, wow, that's crazy we got four. - Okay, all right. - Damn, that was you? - No, that was you. - You're two? All right, so I'm last then. - I'm first. - 'Cause we'll go, like, regular-- - Oh, we're gonna, we're gonna-- - They'll go first, you'll go second, I'll go first. - Okay, all right, that's all right. - But I snake, I snake, I got a snake. - Damn, I don't wanna go first. - You gotta go first. - All right, you don't have to, like, you can do, you have to, you have to fill your team, two chocolate, two sugar, one, non-traditional. - All right, I guess, uh, all right. - What was that? - In the one, I'm gonna go Snickers in the one. - You can have that. - Dude, that in the one is so crazy. - But it matters. - First of all, you need to build this in a way that, like, if you go trick-or-treating and this is only what you come home with, how happy are you? - I'm, I'm, I'm assuming that we're gonna put this out and people are gonna vote. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're gonna make the graphic. - So I'm talking about, I'm getting vote, talk about for the people. I'm drafting for popularity. All right. - I mean, Snickers is so like, you, that's a meal, dude. - Uh-huh. - That's a whole meal. - I don't like it. - You don't need anything else. - So I wouldn't- - Crazy. I'm doing this just because I'm playing a little defense here. - I really hope you don't do it. - And I'm doing a little defense here. And I'm thinking also, like, one of my favorite things about Halloween and Halloween candy is that you can get a little playful with it. You can have different colors, you can have different like packaging and stuff like that. - Mm-hmm. - My number one, give me my KitKats, baby. - You fucking bitch! - I knew it. I told you I'm playing defense. - See, I would have just did KitKats first. If I knew you hated Snickers so much. - Well, there you go. - You can have Snickers, you dumbass. - Damn, KitKats is a good one. That's where I immediately where I was gonna go. - I know, that's why I took it. Because they'll do the Halloween ones, like sometimes they're orange, sometimes they're green, sometimes they're- - Yeah, but I just like the OG. - I know you do. I'm just saying, like, they get playful with it. And it's a really good, like, I think KitKats honestly aren't whatever, they're so overrated. - Whoa! - But I need to play to what I believe other people enjoy. - Come on. - KitKats, that's crazy. You're doing a draft and you're drafting. That's crazy. So someone else doesn't draft it. - I am going to start with Sour Patch, "Watermelon." - God, you fucking bitch! - But, does that get me all sour patch though? - No, you said "Watermelon." - I know, but like- - They're different packaging, so- - You just said you get all of the fucking KitKats. - He's right. - I mean, I just said all of the, like, it's KitKats. They're not known, like, I'm not saying- - Sour Patch is sour Patch. - You can take KitKat blueberry if you want, Joey. I'm just saying KitKats. Then I'll say Sour Patch if I get all of them. - But they come in different packages. - So do this KitKat. - No, but like four Halloween candy. They're Sour Patch packages and they're Sour Patch watermelon packages. - Please, please. - They're also different items entirely. The watermelon ones are shaped like watermelon. The Sour Patches are kids. - So, you said no M&Ms at all. - Whatever. - You said Sour Patch, what would go on the graphic? Would probably just be the Sour Patch kids though. - That's what I'm saying. - So you're taking the kids, not the watermelon. - No, I am taking the watermelon. So I think you should say watermelon. - This is absurd. This is ridiculous. And then, oh, he's snaking. What am I gonna do here? - Sour Patches are like fine, dude. - No, Sour Patch is good. - Fine. It's fine. And then I might, I have to pick something good here. I feel like this isn't a good, oh man. - Would I take Sour Patch? - Alright. Give me, give me Milky Way. I'm taking a Milky Way. - That's good. - Yeah? - Fuck. - God damn it, I was worried about Milky Way first. - God damn it, dude. - I got Milky Way and Sour Patch more milk. So far, I got a good candy bag. - Oh, I don't pick forever though. - You don't suck, dude. That fucking sucks because I love Milky Way. - I love Milky Way too. And I feel like low key, they get like hated on, which is crazy. They get a little bit of hate. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, - Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, damn, well, I did my, so you said that we did it like two chocolatey to, you know, two chocolate, two sugar, one flesh, okay. Well, I did a chocolate, I'll start with it, I'll go back to another, a sugary, I'll wait for my next chocolate one, I think my sugary one is going to be air heads. - You thought I was hoping that fell to me so bad. - I think air heads, you get the good abundance of flavor. Honestly, a normal size air head is too big. The hollowing size air head, the snack air heads are the perfect size, and you can also do like, you can also do like fun little flavors and stuff like that. - You know what I'm saying? - Fuck, man. - So wait, you have two, oh, you have one on one? - I have Kit Kat and I have air heads. - Those are good, this is a good, oh god, that's good. - Okay, your next pick is make or break in this bag. - The bag is already made and broke. - I got my nut in there and chocolate, that's crazy, take it easy. - So I'm going to go Hershey bar for my last chocolate. - Yo, your bag sucks so much. - Even though I do like them, but let's have a good time. - But of the abundance of things out there, you went with Hershey bar. - Yep, that's kind of crazy. - Does that, does that mean I get white chocolate, dark chocolate? Do I get everything? - Sure. - I don't agree, I don't agree, because I think a cookies and cream one is different than the regular milk chocolate. - So then you don't get all these Kit Kat's, even though like the rest of them suck. - There's one Kit Kat. There's, I'm not saying, oh, I'm just saying that sometimes the packaging is playful. - Oh, I thought you meant like there's flavored ones. - Yeah, I don't care about those. - Oh, that's what we thought you were talking about. - No. - Who speaks this way? - Yeah. And then I'm going to go the Trolley Sour gummy worms. - You're going to have those, you dumbass. - Whoa, no, that's a good pick. That's his first good pick. - No, you're going to have that one. - It's going to be a well balanced, like I think they understand. - No. - No, you can have that one. - No. - Okay, well, listen.
When thinking about what I need to go with with my next chocolate, you took my milky way you bastard, so I'm a little upset about that. But what's the next best non-destroying chocolate that you could get, like non-mouth destroying chocolate, you can get it Halloween. That's why for my next chocolatey pick, I'm going Tootsie Rolls, baby. Tootsie Rolls are a quiet staple of Halloween, and I'm not talking those like flavored ones, I'm not talking the ones where it's like this is a vanilla cream, this is a blueberry. Just the classic chocolate Tootsie Roll. Yeah, that sucks. That sucks, like what a what a dud, like you have so many options, what a dud after a Kit Kat airhead. I don't think this is, by the way, your picks have been legendarily bad. I'm chilling, I think. I think your picks are awful. I'm more scared of Joe's next pick, your list, you tanked it. He's just trying to get me a riled up, and it's working! Okay, my next one. Oh, this is tough for me. Your next two in a row. My next two. I'm going to do one, and I'm going to get to the rest of these ads. So, I have, what did I pick? Milky Way and Sour Patch, watermelon I have. The next thing, now we're going to add some variety here. Because you don't always want, you know, something like, like the gummy type of shit. So, give me jolly ranchers. Fuck! It's a good pick. Taking jolly ranchers. It's really good. It's a really good pick. And then we're going to go to a commercial break right here. We'll get back to the next pick after a word from our local box. So, it doesn't include the pops, too. The pops. They make lollipops. Oh, whatever. I like them in lollipop form, too. But anyway, before we get to the rest of this, we do have some sponsors. We have Factor here. So go download cash app and, yeah, get started there, folks. And now it's my turn. I have two, so what was your last pick? What was your last pick? Jolly Ranchers. That's a good pick. Jolly Ranchers, Sour Patch, gummy worm. Sour Patch, watermelon. And then I also had a milky way. Here's the thing though. I only have a chocolate in my mouth. The only reason I'm going to knock Jolly Ranchers is because you can either get blue and watermelon or you can end up with green apple. And if I go to a house. I can choose. You can choose. Sometimes I can toss shit in your bag, dude. Yeah. Wait, I have to pick one. Oh, I have to pick a chocolate now. Oh, man. Okay, I'm going to pick a chocolate. I think I know what he's going to pick. Yeah, you do. I'm taking, give me milk duds. I knew that. I'm surprised that wasn't higher on your list, buddy. Here's the thing. This is why I specified non-milk destroying. Because I am a forever fan of milk duds. But it is, milk duds take 40 minutes to eat. They're good, though. Oh, yeah. It's my favorite chocolate candy. Hmm. Besides Twix. They're kind of ass. Milk duds? Yeah. You're crazy, buddy. You're crazy. It's all right. Because my next sugary candy pick is absolutely going to blow the brakes off you motherfuckers. Oh, no. I have put together the dream team. This is the Nova Nix of Halloween candy. Okay. And you need your, you need your Josh Hart. That's why my Josh Hart here is Swedish Fish. What the fuck are you doing? Oh, I like Swedish Fish, but like hyping it up like that. Swedish Fish, baby. Like they're good. They're great. They're great. And they're perfect. They're fun. They're little fish shapes, you know. You have air heads and Swedish fish. You damn right. Yeah. You damn right. I do. You're fumbling over your own shoes here. You have the most yours ass. Bare ones. What do you have so far? Snickers, Hershey bars and Trolley Sour gummy worms. Yeah. I got good chocolate. His butt fucking ass. Dude. He got kickats. He's got kickats. That's good. Then he got air heads, Tootsie rolls and Swedish Fish. Bro. They're fucking iconic. He's going to be close. I'm iconic. I'm way more afraid of Joe's list. It's a problem. I have just my non-traditional left. Yeah. And I also, I don't really know what that means. So it's just something that isn't like a traditional candy. Okay. Well, for my fourth pick, my other sugar, I'm going to go blow pops. I want a lollipop. No one else has lollipops. I'm going to go blow pops. Blow pops? That's crazy. Bro, you were right there. You were so crazy. Tootsie pops are elite. But he has tootsies. I have tootsie rolls. Tootsie pops. You're not allowed to not take-- So can I do tootsie pops? Too late, bitch. You said blow pops. I thought because he had tootsies, I couldn't have it. Oops. He probably would have argued again. Yeah. That's not right. I would have opened it. I would have opened the blow pops. All right, I'll just go blow pops. Although I love blow pops so much. I'm like good on blow pops. I love-- I love the giant fat ones that are like the icy blue-raz ones. They're called like blue ice. Oh, yeah. Okay. I don't know what-- I guess non-traditional. I'm just going to go, you know what, whatever. It's my list if they like it or not. Whatever. Cookie dough bites. So I'm doing. That's not-- Awful, honestly. That's what. Honestly, probably better than both of your chocolate. So I think like-- I thought that was like-- Contraditional? Non-traditional. Yeah. I'm going to give you like cookie dough. Cookie dough bites is like a candy. You know what I'm saying? Oh, so you're not going to say a candy. No, not necessarily. Mine was not a candy. No, not necessarily. Oh, oh, oh, okay. It's like a-- Got it. Like, but cookie dough is a good answer. I'm going to go cookie dough. Yeah, that's good. I like that. That's a good answer. Oh, you went with an edible thing for your flex? I can't wait. What is that even-- You put an inedible object? Yeah. Do you eat it? No. Sorry, I didn't-- That's what makes it inedible. I know. I'm saying you, though. For my flex, I put stone cold cash, maybe. We're doing a eating candy. All right. Then I'll change it. Then I'll change it. I just meant like something that isn't like typically candy. All right. Okay. Like not typically a Halloween thing. Just not even Halloween. I'm going to go the mini packs of mini Oreos then. Okay. It's like cookies. Yeah, mini Oreos. But the mini is typically mini Oreos. I got you. The mini chips of Hoi are not enough chips of Hoi to be a chips of Hoi. Yeah. Same thing with, like, if I swear to God, if-- I remember once I got, like, someone gave me, like, mini nutter butters, and I fucking launched that shit into the woods. Mini Oreos are a perfect little bite-sized Oreo bite treat. I have two nontraditionals here. I'm trying to think about which one. Joe could run away with it here if he does a good one, I think. I have two here. He's sucking-- You're a fucking boss. I see what you're doing, and it's working. Because I'm angry. I'm trying to think of, like, which one I think would put me over. Because there's one that is more near and dear to my heart. But I don't know if I'm going to go with that one. You need a heart pick. So I'm just going to say, Rice.
crispy treats. Unbelievable pick. - Oh, wow, that's a good pick, dude. - You know what was the other one that I liked? I don't know how to pronounce them, but you know the wafers, the purling ones? Do they like in the tin? - Love 'em. - Oh, like the chocolate straws? - Yes, chocolate straws. - Gotcha. - But I'm doing rice crispy. - That's what a better pick than whatever that don't look like a fucking thing would have been. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - How you were like, oh, I'm so torn here. Take the just like unabashedly, significantly better off. Rice crispy treats, damn. - Especially because they could be like, some of them could have like little, like, - The thingy. - Eye on 'em or something. - Oh, eye? - Yeah, like people would like put like, - Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - Like Becca does that for Halloween. She makes little Frankenstein ones. - I'll be honest with you. I'm kind of shocked that gummy bears didn't pop up on anyone's list. - So I had life-saver gummy rings on mine. - Those are low-key, brave fire. And I know why you like them 'cause you love shoving your tongue through them. - 'Cause you could stretch 'em. - You can stretch 'em with your tongue. - Yeah, you can. - Rip 'em up. - You're gonna open 'em up, hell yeah. - You know, I believe that those are so good. - This is the same thing like we were talking about those other gummy bears, like, they're soft. - Yeah, I like that. - And like, there's no coming back once I stretch 'em. - Yeah, no. - Well, they're stretched, they're fucking done, dude. - It reminds me of like, it's like, you know, and like, those skaters used to get like, gauges in there here. - Yes, yes, exactly like that. - I like putting them on my, like putting a bunch on my finger, and then I eat them off one by one. Or I make a bite in it, and I watch, like, I like stretch, and then I watch it rip. - I do that too. I do that too. - No, three musketeers, guys. - One of the worst candy bars ever, really. - It's not that bad. - I fucking hate it. Also, a low key, I would have respected if someone said 100 grand, 'cause that shit is fine. - So I thought you were gonna go 100 grand, honestly. I thought you were gonna go 100 grand, or Mr. Goodyear. - Those are, I don't even know what that is. - It's another one of those, like, when you get like, the Hershey's. - But doesn't it have like peanuts or something in it? - Maybe. - I should have said Crunch Bar, instead of Hershey Bar. - Crunch Bar. - Yes, significantly better. - Crunch bars are, yeah, but people like Hershey, but I like bunch of crunch better. Then a crunch bar? Crunch bars are so good. - Crunch bars are good. - They're airy. - Well, it's the rice, it's the popped rice. - I know. - I, uh. - It's heavy. - Oh, man. - Yeah, for like, not that this dude needs any fucking more of this shit, but like, I actually do fuck with the feasible chocolate bar. - Yes, they are good. - Just the regular one. At first, they tasted like shit. - Oh, I didn't have them at first. - We had the first package, and it was when he was still trying to be like super healthy chocolate, and then he realized like, oh, it's chocolate, and then he made them a little sweeter, and then that, now that's really good. - I think I had the same, 'cause I remember I got a package, and it was just like, with the new fucking, like, packaging and stuff like that. The milk chocolate's good. The popped rice one is good. - Yeah. - The peanut butter one is fucking cheeks, dude. - I never even tried it. I hate like, you know what I hate? And I like chocolate-tony lonely ones, you know what I'm talking about? - Yeah. - They're good. But I grabbed their caramel one, and it's not like caramel inside. It's like, they like mix caramel into the chocolate. - Oh, I don't want that one. - So I don't want like caramel flavored chocolate. - No, I want my shit pretty pie. - Give it to me cream pie, dude. - You want that shit stuffed? - Yeah. - In, out. - No, out. - I fuck with the fact that they have like, different types of breaks. - Yo, I open that shit, and it looks like a '90s rug. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - What I'm talking about? - Stain glass window. - Yeah, yeah, fuck with that. - Would we have accepted Ferrero Chase? - Yes. - Yes. - I actually think it- - Rich ass neighborhood, you rollin' in, though. They got that fucking rich ass candy. - I'm saying it just doesn't feel like a Halloween thing. - I mean, it's a Christmas thing. - I'll be, it is. It is significantly more of a Christmas thing. Same with the Lent chocolate troubles, which are the pinnacle of chocolate. - They are. - I don't think there is better chocolate on the planet than those. - I will need to go back and do the Cadbury versus the Lent, 'cause I do fuck with Cadbury chocolate, too. - Yeah, you brought that up a bunch. - They have good chocolate. - Like the Caramello. - Ooh. - The Camimello, yeah. - So do you wanna go over our lists? - Sure. - And then are we gonna put them on Instagram as a poll? - Yeah, we'll make Mano get a graphic together. I had- - Oh, it can read it. - Yeah, I haven't read that. - Oh yeah, okay. - So Joe has Sour Patch, Watermelon, Milky Way, Jolly Ranchers, Milk Duds, and then Rice Krispie Treats as the kicker. - It's good. - Okay. - Oh, you don't have confidence. - I like, yeah. Frankie has kick cats at the top, air heads, tutti rolls, Swedish fish, and then Mini Oreos has his kicker. - Legitimately, it might be the best team that has ever been put together. That's Dream Team starting five. - I'm not good with this. Usually the ones I think are the worst are the ones that win, so maybe you got a chance. And I had Snickers, Hershey Bar, Trolley Sour, Gummy Worms, Blow Pops, and then Cookie Doe is the kicker. - So Cookie Doe saved you from an embarrassing? I don't think so. - Cookie Doe, now that I'm thinking about it, Cookie Doe is good. - Yeah, but it needs to be legit Cookie Doe to be good. If you get the package, the Cookie Doe bites, do you see it at the movie theater? - Dog shit. - Yeah, just regular cookie doe. - Cookie Doe, I couldn't have the Cookie Doe bite. - The one where you're rolling the dice. - Yeah, then you're just walking around with room temperature Cookie Doe for hours, you're not rolling the dice. You are picking your outcome. Where am I walking? - I'm picking Trick or Treat. - Oh, I mean, I don't think a house is gonna be like, here's some regular cookie dough. - I just mean in general, it's like a candy draft. - What would you do if you walked up to a house and they gave you a sleeve of Cookie Doe? - I'd probably go home quick and throw my fridge. - I'm like, thank you. Yeah, I don't know. - Frankie could pull this one. - I think that if Jolly Rancher resonates, I feel like that may be the part where I could have maybe done something better, but I can't even think of anything right now. When you take away the heavy hitters, it's tough. - I mean, I think I played good defense, taking Kit Kat and Air Head away from you, because both of those would have been on your list. - Yeah, they would have. - I was hoping that Air Head slipped through the cracks and I would get it. - You guys don't have a nut, you don't have much for eye. - Nuts sucks. I don't want nut. First of all, peanut M&Ms. - Peanut M&Ms are the best. - That was on my list before we did the no heavy hitters. - That might have been my one, but you guys have no nuts. Who needs nuts? - You need some, you need variety. - You don't need nuts. Frankie's got full cookies, so. But the many, I do like the many ones. - No, I don't have full cookies. - Yeah, I know, but like the package. - Yeah, I know, but they are cookies. So that's a good pick. Rice Krispie Treats. - Rice Krispie Treats is such a like, you know, like Tom Brady in the 34th round. Like, that is such a great pick. - All right. Well, we'll see. Who have you guys vote on? I mean, you let us know. We'll post it on the Instagram. We'll get some graphics up. Also, I want to make sure that the fucking graphic is like, we've excluded these. So people are like, what the fuck? - Yeah. - Yeah, yeah. On like the first slide, it should say like, Halloween, candy, giraffe, we've excluded this, this, this, this, and this. - We'll put those on, those candies on the IR. IR or something. - Yeah, yeah. - We're gonna put it on the computer reserve. - But yeah, Frank, where can they find you? - The Frank Alvarez all over. You go check out the basement yard on patreon.com/thebasement yard and all over social media. Yeah, that's it. And, and press go on TikTok and Instagram. And you guys can follow me on Joe Santagato on TikTok and Instagram and go follow the show at The Basement Yard. And that is all. See you guys next time.
