#573 - Becoming Conductors

The conversation begins with a playful exploration of conducting, blending humor and personal anecdotes to examine the role of conductors in music and everyday life. The hosts then transition into reflections on seasonal changes, holidays, and personal experiences—highlighting how weather and traditions shape their routines. A key theme emerges around self-care: treating oneself through simple, meaningful actions like spa days or dining alone, emphasizing that self-nurturing is essential for well-being. The discussion expands into video games, where the hosts analyze how games like Grand Theft Auto blur the line between virtual and real-life relationships, raising ethical questions about romance mechanics and AI-driven interactions. They also engage in a thoughtful critique of gender norms, especially regarding men wearing purses and the evolving nature of fashion and identity. The episode concludes with a major announcement about new merchandise, fan photo submissions for live shows, and a Patreon subscription model that supports the creators. Throughout, the tone remains light, energetic, and self-reflective, blending personal stories with broader cultural observations, while ending with a playful comparison to Harry Styles that underscores shared personal growth and modern shifts in lifestyle and identity.

What's up everyone before we get into this episode Just want to let you know that there is a major announcement at the end of it. So stay tuned till the end huge big announcement Too much to be too big too big. All right Welcome back to the Welcome back to the basement yard. How's it going Frank? I don't know why I did that like I'm a fucking like like I'm Mozart or some shit conductor Dude, doesn't that look so like satisfying? Can I say something about conductors of a of a question of the music. Yeah, yeah train conductors music. Oh, no actually train conductors to Train conducting I think the thing about train conductors first of all. I don't think any train conductors listen to this So we're safe. What about these conductors those? That's you could do it. I mean train conductor. I could do this look And then watch watch You know, I'm sure there's more to it. I'm sure there's a breakup here. There's a horn. I'll tell you this I have never been in a situation where I can honk a horn like that When that day comes I will be a very happy young man. Yeah, if I am young when that happens I got to say you're really projecting fall and I'm enjoying that folks here, baby. I mean here. Is it? Oh, I thought there was like a solstice I mean it's like the end like the the unofficial like how they say the unofficial Start of the summers of memorial day when it's still like a month later the unofficial start to the fall is labor day I that labor has been done dead. It's done. I when I'm looking at your hat and your shirt I'm just like I'm getting a cool breeze. Yeah, I'm getting pumpkins. Oh, I went out for a biker out of the other morning The morning where I fell right, you know, let's make sure we we don't forget that I am a victim and I am injured and I deserve all this Let's see your cuts Look at those scabs nude dude, but I was out there and it was like 62 and I was like oh, yeah, now we're going now. We're moving somewhere But this conducting oh, oh, I would get so fucking into it I'd probably sweat my ass off because it's like a lot of like jerking. Well, like I just want to like if there's like a big part of it If there's like a big part of it where there's just like a simple crash Yeah, they're just like over here, and they're just like bang like they just fucking it is a little bit of one of these things You know because you got to be able to do this and then you're over here too at the same time while they're going You know what I mean? Yeah, but I think I think it's all and this is me having no previous knowledge of course not I think it's all like you have to it's like one two three like it's it's on account So like sometimes they're they're lifting. I love the lift Do this they're shaking it's like hang it up. Oh, but I like I like when they get a little soft with it They're like I need a stick What are those called a wand a Conductor's needle staff there's there's definitely word for it. We're gonna be pissed I think it's gonna be a like a what you said. It's not a staff. It's not a staff. It's lighter a needle a stick a baton Oh, good for you. Is it a baton conducting baton? Wow. Can we do a little exercise? Sure? Can you try to conduct Frankie's voice? I'll try to follow you. That's a great great job. Are you gonna sing a song? I mean I will follow you I Should look up a conductor doing his thing look up a conductor doing and like it's got to be a good song Don't get a fucking dumpster of a song, but do we know any like classical? I mean like it's star Yeah, I'm a little bit hammer us for that Hey, I just love that like they like the whole body's in what was that movie that that Bradley Cooper did where he just wore a fake nose And he's like I'm a different person now. Mm-hmm. I don't know that he was a my show My show it might have been my show. Yeah, but he was like a very famous Yeah, I don't know. Do you know any? John Williams I mean like the people that do the composing for music like for movies are those conductors? I when they do like live shows they conduct a fuck out of it. Yeah, they must so like John Williams Michael, you know, Giacchino Gichino Whoever drove the polar Express Tom Hank, I mean technically was he a conductor or was he just kind of like ah he was like everyone in that movie apparently bro That movie sucks. I know you have a special place. No, I don't like it. Oh, okay No, no, I mean, I think that when you watch it, you're like This is a weird even like a middle ground of when we had technology that was good and bad Well, I think what it's kind of sometimes referred to is like the uncanny valley where like you look at it and you're like this I know it's CGI, but it just feels wrong, you know what I mean like they just can't I have the counting movements Oh, oh, oh this guy's getting quick with it. That's a long baton bro. Oh, they got to see it Oh, I love I love the like tracking. I love that you could just like Fuck it. Look at how he's fucking holding it up there. Oh, he's in that bitch. I'll be honest for you I didn't realize that it was like a screen effect until like maybe a second or a half I thought he had a ribbon. I thought it wasn't ribbon. Yeah, you know, honestly. He's like oh and the face - like That guy would be a good wizard, bro He was he's out here like casting spells on a bitch. I'm telling you right now Those are two thing and a sword fighter. I think with no training whatsoever. I'd be very good at Sword fighting. Yeah, like fencing. No, that's different like pirate sword fighting or like you know, like a long like a long sword or straight straight broad sword Which is the one that they use in like game of thrones? I just call them swords. There's different types brother. I mean I just but oh man And we got it we got to get our shit down pack because the new Harry Potter shows coming out I know you're watching that you're watching that bastard, right dude. I watched the trailer so like now my feed is just all old scenes I love it and I'll tell you right now Dumbledore my guy had a fucking going on, dude Which is like the bone the bone you talking about the bone again. Oh, yeah, I'm not talking about I'm talking about you know, like I don't know if you're talking about the new one that they have oh I mean it's John let go we know John let's Santa Claus though like this ain't this ain't Dumbledore. I mean we got to see We got to see how he pulls through but like the gambon But I watched the scene where like they're placing him under arrest and he's just like you want me to come quietly He's like no and he slaps in the fucking phoenix takes him away and he is like a sassy fuck, isn't he dude? He is like I know that like afterward Jackie Rowling was just like Oh, he's gay by the way, right you watch those movies. There's little things in there to see a little bit of his life He's got some sugar. He's got some. He's got some. Is he the one with the one with the anal beads on it? Yeah, whoa. That's the elder one. Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Is that the one? Are you not first in? I don't remember if that was his wand or not is all the elder one is his wand technically, but then who gets it from him? God it's got to do shit, dude. You know, it's crazy. I feel like this those movies are the only ones that I consistently watch like year-over-year Nothing else you watch home alone That's a fact. Well, yeah, that's a good one Yeah, that's true holiday movies are the ones like Halloween movies We've already started ripping those Hocus Pocus really has been on brother. Oh, it has been on and we're here at our yearly check-in I just want to make sure I say it again. I believe that bet midler as What's her name Sanderson in that movie when the Winifred Sanderson is one of the best acting performances I've ever seen in my entire life such a funny Take it's a perfect movie nearly. I mean, it's it's bet midler so yeah, and like it's just so good But it's like Halloween movies and Christmas movies are the ones that like I've probably when you think about them Watch the most because you just rewatch the Yeah, home alone home alone too. They're just so good and also home alone like kind of just like I'm not in the Christmas mood until I watch that like that's the thing that gets me over the edge Do you wait or do you like you play around and you're like you're not like I'm gonna wait until the day after Thanksgiving You're like yo fucking November 19th throwing on before it's in stores, which now it's getting closer That's like you getting earlier earlier. Yeah, I've already ripped a couple. Yeah, there are stores that set them I mean, I remember when I worked you know in big box retail and it was like you got in like the end of August is when you started Getting the shipments of all like the holiday stuff and in the minute they get the opportunity to put it out It's like honestly like like a week before Halloween. They're like put that pitch out there You'll see like the lights and everything. It's exciting. Well, this is like the time of the year where there is holidays You know, I mean, it's like it the rest is kind of like spread out and then you have like yo fucking Halloween fucking Thanksgiving That fucking Christmas. Oh, it's I mean if you think of it from October to February that bitch is packed full shit. That's true. Like it We got Halloween Thanksgiving Christmas if you celebrate Kwanzaa we have Kwanzaa. There's there's a Hanukkah There's New Year's there's Presidents days in there somewhere Well, that's not so people celebrate quite it. What do they do? They thank George Washington For and then it kind of ends around Balanced as a yeah, yeah, what were you raising your hand about did this summer kind of suck? Speak for yourself. Don't why it's just like the weather was ass. I feel like it kind of like zoomed by this one Time flies when you're having fun though. There's a lot of rain. I can't speak for you. I don't even agree with that really a lot of rain A lot of rain was there. There were I I remember a lot of rain But I could only speak for myself. We we went nuts We had so much fun this summer like so maybe it's just your summer bitch. Yeah, maybe you got to like Go out of your way for yourself more probably treat you. Why was the last time you treated yourself? to something I've never been to a spa. I want to go. There you go. Does that interest you? No What what are we doing? It just feels like you said treat yourself feels like something. I'd be treated nice there I think yeah, you I mean, but like the treating of yourself doesn't necessarily means like someone is gonna treat you nice It just means like you do something for yourself a little bit like this one's for me. Yeah, you don't go to a spa If you don't like the spa. Well, I would I would like to get treated nice Yeah, but you're treating yourself nice is the point that I'm making one is the last time you treated yourself to something Wouldn't I be treating myself to a spa day? What are you? Why are you arguing? I don't know if I don't like it I never know you've never been so you want to go and like you know get a massage and maybe sit in like a soaking tub Cool get your feet like rubbed. Yeah, I'm not I'm not ticklish. I Heard that's a problem for some people. They just look like he was long. Yeah, I'm not Try it out. Okay, so maybe you know, you want to go to a spa? Something you're gonna be treating him. Yeah, I know you don't know you treat yourself. We're not doing shit for you He's right. I was about to get a spa day, but you don't want that. He's trying to teach you something You you you sometimes have to put yourself first. Don't wait for the universe to do it for you You do it for yourself first, but sometimes you need to just give yourself a little like You know, yeah, just once in a while Like you know what this one's this one's for me. This one. You know what? I'm gonna take myself to dinner. Oh I'm gonna. Oh, I like that. I'm just gonna get that you know, like A little more a little more a little bit a little more like the shoulders have to be in there Yeah, but like playful. I can't should I go how often do you treat yourself to dinner both either? Oh, not often never I would say yeah, I'm okay. I like groups I know I wouldn't I don't know that I would enjoy going like going to dinner on by myself But I would I would go to like a spa by myself or with somebody. Yeah. Yeah, okay No, damn it. Yeah It's not you got to treat yourself a little bit dude, and that's okay No one's sitting there and telling you to go goon to yourself unless you Unless that's a form of it so then that that bears that begs the next question treat your soul. Yeah, when's the last time? You treated yourself a Couple weeks ago I was out in L.A. for something and and I I took myself out to dinner and I was like You know and I just got a nice dinner to myself. I had a state. What's your favorite thing to do by yourself? Second favorite thing we all know the first thing What is that he's he he's talking about gooning cranking it got you got you got you I would say if I have a loan time. I love Sitting down and playing video games That's a good answer. I really really really do like okay It is so it is the one thing in my life that I really genuinely believe that like I can do and not get sick up Okay, you know, and I'm talking like an activity like I don't mean like spending time with like people You know what I mean like I'm just saying like it's the one thing. No, it's the only thing I Can legitimately sit down with a video game or a several video game and just play and it'll be like Yeah, like sometimes I'll pop this on and then I'll go to this and then I'll oh I haven't played this in a while So like let's say you were like you said you were in L.A. So let's say you were in L.A. and but there was a system there with like any games You'd be like I'm just gonna rip this whole afternoon like 12 hours if I had the time. Yeah, so I mean yeah If I had the time I could see myself doing that You know, and then I'm gonna take myself out to get food or if I'm really feeling it I'll just order food and I'm just be like I'm gaming here really. Oh Yeah, what's the last thing you got like a domino is I'm just like yeah, I'm gonna fucking be a bee-zing jet I mean I have I've engaged in piece of shit eating regularly, baby. Don't you worry. Yeah, yeah cinnamon sticks Are you cinnamon sticks over cheesy bread? No cheesy bread. Whoa cheesy bread over the cinnesticks. No, I can't do that. Pro that cheesy bread I don't know what the fuck it is. It is like crack cocaine It is really good, but the cinnamon sticks dude domino thought they were getting the free plug here Yeah, they ain't now bitch cinnamon sticks. The cinnamon sticks are good, but there's just something to pay. Wait, did they get rid of them? And now they have like balls. I mean I saw that someone has like cinnamon balls. Yeah It's like I think that's Taco Bell Taco Bell got balls of shit all the time dude. You ever have the cinnest snacks from Sonic I've never had Sonic in my life. I've had Sonic once and boy oh boy. I never thought anyone would make me hate a hotdog They sell hot. I thought it was just like ham like everything's ham no brother It's like it's like it's the ideas. It's like an old-timey drive-through. So it's like a burger joint and you could get a hotdog Oh, that's where they have the roller blades. Yes, yeah Wars were thought over those things wait what what if you were to just like sit down and like treat yourself to something like what what would you do? Great. Like buy yourself Ants not they're gooning in the corner. All right. Although he may be What everyone You know, I actually I am a person who enjoys company and like groups But I do think that like there are times I've been finding myself that like I just a nice walk. I just like you Like just going for a walk. I love how I said sitting down and playing video game and he's like being active No, but like I don't like walking when it's hot though Or when it's like freezing but that that like I guess I'm just in the mood because of your head Yeah, but like that kind of weather and just going for a walk like oh what if Like would you go out of your way for a walk or would you like just walk around where you live? So like let's say like drive to a walk. Yes, like would you like go to like If like say like 30 minutes from you there was like a pretty like hiking trail or like the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens I think that's a good example. It's kind of like greenery and stuff Would you go to a walk or would you just walk for the walk? Really depends where I'm at my mental state because I could probably do it or I would like Sometimes like I guess this is how I kind of judge it because there's been times in my life where I feel like I'm really going through it And then I'll just go on like a fucking 10 mile walk or something Like just just rip it how long is that taking you four hours all day? I mean, I don't know a while But I've done that. I've done it in the freezing cold too. I don't know. There's just something about walking. It's like it's not like It's not like exert it's not you're not like exerting yourself so you're kind of like walking I mean you're all you are eventually you're up. Yeah after 10 miles here But you walk in you walk into the rain. You throw in like a poncho or something on nobody. I love running in the rain Because I'm dramatic gotcha because you're listening to fucking define gravity in your head and you're like stepping in a puddle Exactly. I'm stepping in puddles as the fucking symbols are crashing no one can see me cry Well, no, I do but Running in the rain is awesome like being in the rain is fun because it's like being in the rain is really nice when you're young You like being in the rain is about to be deep but when you're young you're about you like being in the rain And then you're like taught that like oh, you're not supposed to get wet not being in the rain and umbrellas and shit But then when you just surrender to the rain, you're like, I'm just wet There's something nice. I'm feeling it. You know what I mean? I mean the kids will anytime it rains ruby and mave will grab An umbrella and their rain boots and go in the backyard It takes all of a minute and a half for the umbrellas to be on the ground And then they're just walking and singing and like scream singing at the top of their lungs in the backyard They crush it. That's the way to do the rain. I think there's something in the rain that makes people feel alive Do you remember the video of Drew Barrymore? Oh, yeah, she's like crying in the rain, but I get it like it was funny to watch But I get it it depends on the type of rain if it's like a piss poor like Like no, I want it like I call it back and I call it 90s rain. We're like it rains like you can Look out and draw if you took a still photo like a fat like a fat drop Yeah, yeah, sometimes you get fat drop Bro and it sounds they last time we recorded with the last week we recorded I drove home from here and it was 90s rain to the point where like it sounded like this on my windshield Like it was fucking heavy. Yeah, I was like this is good rain. I don't like sideways rain I like when it's straight down You say you're only good with straight straight right? You're only good with straight rain. You know, I'm the gay I only like when it's like coming down, but like when it's like in your face you're like uh come on Well, is it not always technically in your face if you're running in the rain? It's a good technically. I mean yeah It's true every time it sideways rains my door leaks so I don't like sideways rain Hmm, I feel like you at this point fix it It doesn't sideways rain that often. That's a problem for a different day Okay, there's other problems at the front of the line got you like taking yourself to a spot No, that's that's back if you all right So we we will pose the same question to you if you were to have like a buy yourself enjoying the time want to like Just unwind and be aunt. What are you doing? I like the video games thing play Mario Kart Yeah, but you do that, and you possibly want to do that. I just, it's my, it's my, I like it. Yeah. And I sit and then I check my phone. No one texts me. Then I go back to playing my card. And then I love how like you like, drink a snapple. You've gone through all that stuff. Oh, so that's a good, so if you're doing this, if you're doing whatever version of it, what are you eating and what snacks do you have? It's a trick of, so a snapple there. Yeah, it's nice. Maybe order from a diner, like my diner. It sounds like you need to be a little more, a little bit more experimental. I don't, I'm not trying to say that this doesn't make you happy. I sure am. No, I'll do it. This sounds boring as fuck. Well, I just think it is like a very achievable thing. Like maybe you could, you know, see how you would react to doing some other stuff. Like you're going for a walk. That's true. What are you doing? What are you talking about? Hey, hey, he's not, he's the boss. That's true. I am talking about going for a walk. But that's also because I don't really like doing a ton of stuff by myself. I like company. Me too. Yeah. I love how I'm like, I'd be alone, I play video games, and he's like, I like company. But we said if we were alone. No, I know. That's why it's like hard for me to think of something, and it's like, but even like something like video games, I don't like playing if I can't be like on Xbox with people. Really? Me too. Oh, I love, I literally-- But you guys are like storyline video gamers. Yes, I don't like-- Like if I was into that, like there was a time where like, I would play like Assassin's Creed, and it's like, no one fucking talks me, I'm doing it. But it's like, those are, that doesn't really happen anymore. I think, I mean, it's just about finding the right game. I'm sure if you popped on like fucking FIFA, you can just lose yourself in FIFA for an hour or two. Well, I'm losing myself in FIFA currently. Well, you're losing your mind. Yep, yep. You're probably losing your mind. Have you seen the new Call of Duty gameplay? No, might be back. Might be back. Also, Grand Theft Auto's coming out, so. I was never a huge GTA guy. I like Grand Theft Auto. But I also haven't played in forever. But it's getting to the point where I'm just like, what the fuck? Like, they're putting like real life casinos in it. You're like gamble with like, you're real money. I also don't know if this is real, but I saw online that you have like a girlfriend, that you have to text, and make sure that you're like treating her nice. And I'm like, I have one. So I was-- so I asked this question in our group chat. Like, at what point does that become your life? Like, at what point does that become cheating? So like, if I were to be playing Grand Theft Auto, because I think they said that like that part of the game that you're referencing, you have to like romance and date you're in game. I got a flirt partner. I got a cheat. Yeah. So like, at what point does it become like, this is a problem? Because I don't know if Grand Theft Auto 6 has this mechanic as of recording, it's not been out. And I haven't seen an answer on it. But like, what if you can like, full on, just have fucking gang-bang sex in the game? Gang-bang. I don't know why I started that. I would start slower. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I would imagine it's not at that point. I would you get into the AI of it all. I would say that starts to get blurry. I would say, right? Yeah. I would say it's like, this is weird. Like, if-- I think if you have to use your voice. Like, if you have to like pick, like, choose and be like, take her to dinner or sit on the couch or do whatever. Like, those, like, that's fine. But if you have to like put on the microphone and be like, hey, baby, it's me again. Then it's like, this is crazy. She's just like, babe, hold on. She's coming back in the room. What? No, but like, honey, why are you calling me so late? That song is about cheating. You told me that. I-- oh, you never put that together. You told me that. Until later in my life. Yeah, I didn't either. Until I became-- My girl's in the next room. Sometimes I wish she was you completely fucked. I just-- I feel like it's getting to a point with this game where it is an optional part of the game to do the whole romancing thing. So like, I can imagine there will be relationships that as a result of that are, like, they suffer. Because it's just like, you know, whoever it is, it'll be like, what, you're not going to take me out for a day. Marisa would never treat me this way. Yeah, exactly. But just like, in the game, like, you're out and you're going on full dates and then you're like, shooting up a gas station. In GTA IV, you also had a girlfriend that you could take on bowling dates. And we convinced our friend that if you go on 100 dates, you get an achievement. And then there's a sex cut scene. Complete lie. But he did a-- You guys are fucking horny little bastards. He did a hundred bowling scenes. And then he went, what the-- What? Yeah. And we went, oh, yeah, obviously. I mean, it's almost worse that he told you guys I didn't. Like, if he had just done it and not said anything, it'd be like, they were fuckin' with me. Also, the payoff is a grand theft auto sex scene. Yeah, a tomb's right there. Yeah, a 2008, you know, fucking sex scene in a video. It takes so long. Or just a full human woman experience could have been-- We'll suffice that. I don't think we were there yet. Or, man, however, that is true. That's fine, too, or any other. Right, let's cover it all. I'm just saying, I think that it's going to be interesting that stories that will come out. Because there's always these people that were like, with grand theft auto coming out, they're just like, oh, you know, honey, I'm not-- no more dates for the next couple of months, because I'm going to be playing the game. But there will be a version of that where it's just like, they're basically like having a full-on relationship in a game. That's-- yeah, that's tough. You think eventually, or like, I don't see it's unrealistic that they'll be able to call you from the game to your phone. And it'd be like, voice lines. That, I think, we're crossing a line. We're crossing a line. I don't see that being super unrealistic. I don't think that's unrealistic, either. I think that, if anything, the future of video gaming is that incorporating your actual life into the game and interacting with you back. When you really think about where everything is going to, like, with AI and everything, it's now interacting with your-- I'm like, I don't like it. Yeah, there's an app where it's like the Grand Theft Auto 6 app. And it's like, your girl can call you and tell you to come and, you know, let's go and rob a bank together. It would be kind of like Pokemon Go where it affects your in-game character. Exactly. Yeah. Well, I don't like any of that. Like, where you could like, talk into a microphone and it'll like determine what's going on in the game, you know, it's not worked well. But like, they had like Pokemon games like that, where you could be like, Pikachu, jump. And Pikachu will fucking jump and shit like that. I'll tell you this. If it gets to the Pokemon level where they're just like-- where I can like, talk with fucking Charizard. Then I'm kind of in. But doesn't Charizard not speak English? I mean, put that you could understand you. That's true. And you could understand them. But to everyone else, it sounds like, "Char, you know what we fire?" You know what we fire? If there were like glasses that you could wear. And then there was like, actually, you could Pokemon battle. And like, they appear like on the street. You know what I'm saying? I mean, we're in a park and like, we look insane to everyone else. Well, so like, that kind of, that kind of already exists would Pokemon go. So like, you can turn on like, it's like, I don't know what the toggle is called. But like, basically, if they're, if we're sitting here and we find that there's a Pokemon in this room and you turn it on, you have to like, with your phone look around and you'll see the Pikachu like hop up on the desk. AR. Is it AR? Yeah, so like a kind of AR augmented reality. So it kind of already exists like that. And there are games like on the meta, on the meta quest where like, you could put it on and your, it'll scan your room and your room will like, look like someone is like, an alien is like, taking the roof off your house and you have to like shoot a shit like that. I don't know if I like that. How do we not have a Yu-Gi-Oh dual thing yet? Well, we put a card down and a hologram comes up. I could play pot of greed. Yeah, what happened to holograms? That was so like awesome like in Star Wars where like, do you can send a message? I'm letting you know right now, you guys, we are at a really cool part of the conversation. I'm so happy we're talking about this. About holograms? I'm just saying it like in terms of like, video games and shit like that where I can, I, but it would also not be good for my marriage. For holograms. Because like if Becca is like walking up the stairs and I go, it's time to do, do, do, do, do, do, do. Yeah, that'd be so silly. And she'll walk up and she'll be like, you're 34. Yeah, yeah. Stop talking about dark magician. Like that, and that would probably-- Babe, set an extra plate. Blue ice white dragon's having dinner with us tonight. Oh my God, babe, Kaiba's here. Or like you're getting a phone call. Just be like, hold on, Professor Oak's calling me. That should be cool as fuck. I can't, I can't go. Professor Oak is calling me. We have a call later. Babe, you understand, I gotta call it. I gotta work call it too. It's the Professor Oak. Oh my God. It's not like it's-- Can you just Google the closest Pokemon Center for me? Nurse Joy needs to see Weepin Bell. If I don't get there first, I don't get my new Pokemon. Dude, let's bring back-- I had recently downloaded a Yu-Gi-Oh game and was playing with Josh. Like he had downloaded it too. Really? Dual links? Yes. God, it's so good. It's so good. Is that a phone? Yeah, it's an app. It is, I will say, it's kind of past those by a little bit. Now it gets a little intense with some of the things where it's like, you need to use special proto-monsters to dual link Zoom monsters. And I'm like, what happened to the old stuff? Just want to hit a tag. I just want to hit a tag and defend it. I've lost in one turn. I want to snap my phone in half. It's like, the game's like that now. We went back to cards. Me and Chaz. Which one back to cards? It's just fun. It's fun to do it. Oh. We do the whole, like, please, heart of the cards, please. Sometimes you need it. No, it's so good. You do need the heart of the cards. I'll tell you right now, once you throw down your first blue eyes by dragon, you ain't going back, baby. Dude, when I opened a pack of Yu-Gi-O cards and got a blue eyes by dragon, like, I was like, yeah, this is the fucking best moment of my life. I think you got the blue eyes ultimate and you summon to the blue eyes ultimate by sacrificing. What do they call it? Is it sacrificing or you summon a new monster, but you have to, like, give your other ones for tribute. Yeah. Sacrifice attribute remember I'll just get real nerd. Yeah, obelisk the tormentor. Do you remember him? No big guy was fucking jacked I remember gate guardian gate guardian. That was a good card golden wing of raw You gave me for my birthday One year you gave me the arm thing with exodia all the arm all the pieces of exodia and I was like, oh, this is cool I was fucking I remember when we had tore them into in like fifth grade at lunch and there was this kid who had pieces of exodia And he's like they're but they're not real. They're Asian and I was like Well, there was that place by our school that like they sold packs and you were just like oh sick And then you go, but they were like the the packs from Japan. Yeah, so like you'd get the card and you wouldn't be able to read Anything or know what it did before the internet. So you just had to make shit up And I remember there was always like I would just be like, oh you can see like the numbers for like attacking defense But like it'll be like the special effect is like you have to forever give me your card You just make stuff. Yeah, I just make shit up 100 percent. Oh Those are the days. Those were the days and now we're old and we're talking about going all walks Yeah, what's wrong with me? It was a time I mean when you gave me the game boy. I was ripping that a lot. Yeah, you never finished it did you I didn't but I Your charzard is in there and he's just pissed off of you right now. He is Good. He's my strongest one. Don't have his app does I don't know if I've ever completed a Pokemon game That's outrageous. That's great. I mean completed in one sense caught all the Pokemon never or made it the Zeren end Like made it. I mean, there's been defeat the elite date. I don't think I ever got past Snorlax. I was like this is dumb That is the beginning of the game sister That's that's like midway through and then I just walked around also like such a cool part of the game Cuz like you use this poker fluid in this thing wakes up, and you're like holy fuck this strong ass fucking fat fucking Pokemon I always got scared by lavender town. I don't fuck with it. I Really don't fuck with that at all. I really don't film that type of music at all. Yeah, they'll get you Also, I just reminded myself from doing that little whistle. I watched hunger games for the first time in my life Yeah, I had never seen it. Yeah, but I like bow and arrows So I was kind of head of the of the big bow and arrow movies, though not the one that you want to watch For the rings or the rings brother, obviously or even the Avengers dude my guy Hawkeye Rambo Rambo, he does use it. He does use it. Yeah, big bag big. I the only thing I remember from ramp big buck The only thing I remember from Rambo is that he like had a 50 cal in one of the last movies Yeah, you ever see the meme where they they like edited out. He just looks like he's giving a really hard Because he has like a gallon gun, but it just looks like he's given really hard. No, I haven't seen that. That's funny. But in that scene But in that scene. Yeah, you pulled the meme It's great, but he it's like he has a 50 cal and he like people are just exploding It's insane. Anyway, that's a good transition probably to the ads people exploding It's below those ads all over our face. That was a pretty good snap. Can you how many fingers can you snap with? I Did something recently Like I I I bought a bag Yeah, oh like a purse. Oh, oh like a man purse What are you doing? Like the ones that go around like a thready pack that you kind of put around your like your my father? No. It's like a bag. Oh, like a handbag, kind of. Good for you. A nurse. Good for you. It's like, technically it's a tote bag. A how short are the hoops though. That's what really makes the big difference. I think there's both. Can we see this back? Oh, you don't want to pull it up because you want to show us your friends. I'm going to keep it for now. You're going to keep that. We just see how it has to be held. You can strap like a cross. You could. It's like a bag. I'm confused as to what like you're teeing this. You're keying this up because there's something about the bag that we need to know about. It's just because it's like a purse. I think that. Yeah. Cool. I think that I'm making I'm I'm breaking down. Not me. I don't know. You and I'm but I'm like for me and breaking down. This is a gender norms. Exactly what my fucking what what those people were screaming about into the airwaves. First Harry Styles wears a dress. Now you're buying. No, I'm buying a purse. Now you're buying a purse. But I was thinking about it because I had like I've had laptop bags and like they're nice. But like I can only from my laptop in this. So now so what's the idea with this purse now? Are you going to be I can put my laptop in it, but I could also have a bunch of other stuff in it. Oh, so like I love. So, so like you'll throw your keys in there, yeah, you'll throw your wallet in there. Maybe not. Waller always stays on my body phone. That also stays on my body. But so just keys in your laptop headphones, which maybe a moisturizer which fit. Oh, okay. So all right. Now, now maybe like an extra charger. Just always be prepared for whatever may come. And this is what purses are. What's going on? What's the size? The size is like. I don't have it yet. Ah, but I ordered it. But it's like. Well, what was that? Did they show like a picture of it on a person? Yeah. And what was what's the question? Give us a good general. Oh, I would say that it's probably like. That's not a purse. I mean brother. Bro, it's big. He's getting there. Don't you say my purse not a purse. That's not a purse. Honestly, I don't like the way that you're talking about his purse. First of all. That's my purse. Well, I'll be honest with you. I was like, I think that I was like, yo, I want to I want to get a purse. And I bought something. And then I was like, it was too big. I'm like, this is too crazy. Too much of a purse. It was just like a giant bag that I'm like, I could literally probably fit. Did you have to kind of like find a middle ground between like what is not enough of a person? What is too much of a purse? I definitely wanted it to be like. Hold up that. Hold up that basement here on tote bag. I went right there behind you. So we could show off the new merch and we could talk about it. Actually, no. That one's not coming out until holiday. Not that one. Yeah. It's a different tote. I cleaned up for reasons. Um, isn't the second one. I have a feeling you bought the second. Right. Yeah, that's one. That's no. I did not buy the money. That's $5,000. Joey, I'll be honest with you. If I saw you out with that on ironically, I might hit you. What the? I'm not doing this. Come on. Oh, oh, oh. That is insane. A money bag. Crystal clutch. This is more than a clutch. I mean, that's also a clutch. That's a clutch, isn't it? Yeah. It's not a purse. A clutch from purse size tiny purse. Yeah. No, no, no. It's not a handbag. The people that wear purses are listening to this right now and they're about to scream because there's definitely a word for the size at which it's a tote. It's a tote. It's a leather tote. Can we look up male leather tote bags? Well, we don't know if he bought that one. Well, I mean, I'm not saying we just need to get an idea as to like, male leather tote. We were putting purse. Oh, did you get that second one? You told me purse. I just said tote. Did you? Yeah. Now, we're getting somewhere. It looks more like this. So you see the first picture of that brown one? Nope. Oh, that was the first one, but I know which one you're talking about. Yeah, this one. It looks kind of similar. Oh, that's just a purse. Yeah, yeah. I mean, this one has like a strap. Is that a purse? What is it, then? I don't know. I mean, it's not a purse. It's a purse. So we have an idea of what we're talking about. It's kind of a handbag. Yeah. Yeah. But this one has a strap. So at what point do you stop? Are you going to have like different ones like you'll have a black leather one. You'll have a brown leather one. I just got black leather and I'm trying it out. I actually don't know if it's real leather and I have no idea. I'm serious. I'm sure you got the real leather. It's all right. It wasn't that crazy. How much do you think I spent on it? 200 bucks. It was a little bit more than that. 270. No. It was like three something. 340. But like some of them, like there's like thousands of dollars of that. So this is honestly that you have just made my job so much easier when it comes to your birthday and the holidays. Getting me person. No, I can just get you like a Louis Vuitton bag. No, I don't want that. I can get you like a coach bag. No. At what point do you just go to full? That's what I think. I actually go full on clutches. No, I'm not doing that. Oh, that dog one though. I don't know. Here's the thing. If I saw someone with this, I would be mad. Yeah. Outside of like Paris, Hilton. I can't see anyone, you know, using this. How much is this? $3,000. $3,000. $3,000. What do you put in there? Oh, it has a little dog collar. No, I don't care. That better be. The collar's not the part of it that's annoying. It's the dog. No, I don't even know if I can pull off a bag. But I'm like, you know what? I want something that could put my laptop in with a couple of other things. I love when he does it. Or my shoulder and get a little cool. I love when he does this. I love, yeah, I love when he does this. They're going to be like a fucking gay/feminist icon, Joe Sanigato. He absolutely can. You and Harry Styles, baby. All right. Let's chill. A couple different parallels. We both did shows at the MSG. Don't ask how many. We both did them though. Technically. We both did shows at MSG. We did the same places. Yeah. We, you know, you're now wearing bags. I, you're now wearing bags. I haven't worn it yet. But I'll come in here with the bags. Yeah. I actually, I went for a run and I ran over the Williamsburg Bridge. Have you seen the videos of Harry Styles going to Soundcheck? No. He's been walked. I think he lives in Brooklyn. Maybe Zoe Kravitz was in Brooklyn, but he's been walking over the Williamsburg Bridge to go to Soundcheck. Soundcheck? What does it matter where Zoe Kravitz lives? I'm just saying, like, he's walking from Brooklyn to Manhattan. Hey, so Zoe Kravitz lives in-- I'm assuming they're together. They're together. Oh. I didn't know that. We'll context clues. We'll help a little. Yeah. I don't know why. I assumed he knew that. So he's been walking-- well, I don't know if he's been doing it, but he was walking over to go to Soundcheck. Well, I saw it when he hosted SNL. He walked every day. Right. So I ran over the bridge, like, not too long ago, like last week. And in the middle of the bridge, there's, like, Paparazzi waiting. Oh, for him. Yeah. Ah. And I'm like, that's insane. Probably taking a different route now. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I imagine. Or he just-- Or he just-- just go through it. Like, all right. So let's do something here. Just as an experiment, Google things that Harry Styles does. And I want to see-- He's going to pop up. Yeah, I don't know. But if there is a list, I imagine there are people that keep tabs on him. He's a-- what are you expecting to pop up? I'm just-- I want to see if there are parallels between your life and his life to the point where we could say, Joe Sanogado, Harry Styles. We can make a safe assumption here that, no. You act like Google is this magic wand. I hate that. My guy. But I'll tell you what. And also the vagueness. Look at things Harry Styles does. I'll tell you this. He likes cold water swimming. Oh, no. You don't like that. Where are you getting that? Meditation? He's not-- he's not there yet. I-- It's a matter of time. I have done it. Learning languages and skills. He does like that. You do like that. Yeah. Let me answer for you. Okay. Clubbing and electronic music. No, he does not. [LAUGHTER] I don't think you-- That's all I got. Only in Europe. Proud of me, too. Oh, oh. He runs marathons. No, no. I mean, warmer. He runs marathons. I don't know that it would be classified-- he's like a legit runner. We're getting warmer now. He drove up three hour marathons. We're both-- That's Harry Styles. That's insane. It's fast. Shit. He's also wearing women's clothing. At a certain point, do you think that you will make the transition into wearing dresses and stuff like that? And I'm not saying that in a judgemental way. I am legitimately asking. I don't know. Maybe if I get invited to the Met Gala, except get canceled, maybe then that's where I would-- That's the pipeline. Yeah. OK. His birthday's in February. Oh. He's the Pisces? I mean, what am I doing? I don't know what that was. What-- what-- tell me when his birthday is. The first. Well, that ain't you. That's probably not-- Why would've said that it's on his birthday? That's a different sign, even. You don't even know Joey's birthday. What's my birthday? See? 20. Fifth. Wow. You got it. Damn it. Fuck the fuck. What time? God. I'll give you a hint. There's only two digits, because one doubles. What am I? Cracking a safe? I mean, I just gave you a-- 722. No. 646. 646. 646. See you frankly with that. I knew that one. Send me up on the second question. His first word was cat. Joey. How do you actually getting this information? I'm texting him. Hey, I was your first word. I think we're seeing some possible parallels between you and Harry Styles. And that's OK. Oh, no. I'm not saying that. I was going to say, oh, no. Yeah, you're slowly becoming one of the biggest stars in the world. I don't even think. You could say. Huh? No. What? Oh, sorry. [LAUGHTER] for you. I think I tried to stop a laugh and it just said where did you go the throat do you think if I purse it up a lot that you guys may be infected with the purse? Oh that's how they said that the the Harry Styles wearing dresses it was gonna go right that's what they were everyone was just like this is an attack on masculinity and it's like this is one person wearing a dress yeah I mean I kind of have my laptop bag I put stuff in I don't I don't think so but look what happened with everything else the watch is really yeah I just feel like it makes the most sense to have a something with you want all your shit with you yeah I'm cutting your ass a little bit I I think that whoever said like this incredibly like it's functional useful thing is just for women yeah come on yeah throw throw us guys a bone make life easier for us yeah yeah especially the straight white ones look at me look at him straight white and can I get a break there's something that is not tailored to you and figure it out and everything should be because it already is right and it should be and that's what I'm used to so I so moving forward that should be and if it's not take it and call it against it and let it politically motivate yes absolutely I just forget about anyone else you even need to know about it and think about you know just like the things that affect me and benefit me and just not anyone else and I don't want to think about it and don't get me started on really guys have you heard of this new invention of handbags they're for guys and they're it's a gateway drug to all of the what you should this is what our dad's y'all about growing up is like you start with a handbag and then in three years you're gonna be drinking guys off in the park yeah my dad's gonna be like oh when your dad gets a hold of this can you get the hold up first call him right now just say dad I bought a purse for a man and just see what happens wouldn't air that no no no he probably just make a joke and that would be it but did I tell you what happened to my dad with his man purse because my dad has like one that like buckle to your and it's like a fanny pack yeah yeah because when we did during the first tour when we did the Atlantic City show we had a thing where we were like hosting a party at a pool party afterward yeah of all the shows my dad came to he picked to come to that and he came to the pool party after and first of all boy oh boy was that something but he almost didn't make it in because he came in with like his heart medicine like pills yeah he had medical pills he had medical pills in his thing but they were like we need to search your bag and they were like they opened it up and they saw a bottle of pills right and they're like oh we're not fucking letting you in with this and he's like no those are my heart pills and they're like we don't care we're taking them and then my dad got into an argument with the guy because he was like don't take them dump them in the garbage right now oh the guy wanted your dad to dump them no my dad wanted the guy to dump them why because he would I assume that he was like worried that they were gonna like take it and sell it or some shit like that but he was just like okay all right if you're gonna take it take it and dump it in the garbage right now my guy was like I'm just taking the bottle and he was like no fucking dumping my sister was like I can't ever forgive you for putting me through that did he what happened to his pills I think he had to give them up and like I imagine they dumped them what the hell bro it was crazy but you can't be like bro I like I need this this is like a medical thank I I don't know I'm sure it's also my dad and I'm sure my dad was I'm sure they were just like what are these he was like don't fuck away about it you know what I mean yeah like he was just like the way about what my pills are and they were like sir we need to know and he was He's in the room right now. - Thank you. - Very likable guy. - Yep. - Congratulations, Joe. (clapping) - Let's go. - Let's go. - Sorry, I know that there's more to announce before I ask my series of questions. - Yeah. Good news, begets more good news because a period on the show will be Frank. - Here you go. (clapping) - Clap, dammit, first episode is at the pilot. We don't know, but Frank will be there. - First of all, I want to say thank you for using the word begets on here 'cause that has never been done before ever and the tire exists. - I didn't even hear that. - Well, open your ears. - I was listening to all the compliments at first. I was like, wow, this is going really well. - Yeah, this went really well. Anything 'cause, you know, you said best in the game, hosting it great. In terms of guests, where do I rank? - The best one that Hot One's game night has ever had. - That's for sure. - Obviously technically not wrong. - Yeah, that's true. - Yeah, that's gonna be fun. Congratulations. - Thank you. And I'm really excited the game is a lot of fun. - Yeah. - So like me and Greg are also like executive producers on it. And basically, I'll be sitting down with a celebrity guest every single week, playing a board game. There'll be questions, there'll be hot wings. I will be tortured. It will be a fun time. And we've recorded some episodes and they're just a ton of fun. - Yeah, yeah, they were a lot of fun. The game was a lot of fun. The aftermath might have been something. They might have left something to be desired there, but I enjoyed it. I mean, I'm also like a hot stuff and stuff like that. So I'm like, yeah, I was fucking pumped and shit like that. - I'm sure in your guys' position though that goes away pretty quickly. - It's tough. I don't know how you do it. You eat that many hot wings in your life. - Well, it's interesting to talk to you because I feel like this is a unique experience. You're like the only other person on the world that I can talk about, hosting the show where a prerequisite is that you have to eat extremely spicy wings. You shot a few episodes. I am curious, how has that experience been for you? - I feel like I'm a hot one right now. He's asking really good questions. - Thorbe gets in there again. - I feel like I wasn't really paying attention to that part because once this idea started forming, I was like, this just sounds like such a fun idea. And then once I arrived on set for the first taping, I was like, oh shit, I have to do these. - Yeah, why did I say yes to this? - Yeah, and then after the first episode, I was like, I don't know how you do it. And I was also like, we're never gonna shoot two in a day, right? 'Cause I'm dying over here. I think that it's an honor to be able to work with the first week of the East Company and do this show, but definitely doesn't come for free. - What there is a price you pay for doing cash. - What was harder for, I guess either of you, is it the wings or the milk and/or dairy that comes as a result? - Well, I always tell guests, you know, like when they're really crushing milk, I'm always like, hey, I know that this sounds insane given the circumstances right now, but a milk problem is actually much worse than a hot sauce prop. - Is it really? - Ooh, I learned that problem first episode. - That's how the game works. - Absolutely slammed it. Are you not a whole milk guy? - No, I mean, it's just the volume and the chemistry experiment that's going on in your stomach when you combine those kinds of forces. So I always tell people, like, you know, maybe a glass of milk over hot ones, but when they keep refilling it, I'm always like, that's gonna be a problem later, but I can't talk them out of it when they're just trying to. - That was me. - So by the moment. - That was me. - We did ring pong. This is our first experience ever eating those ways. - Yeah. - The amount of milk I drank was more than I've ever had since like 1999. But it was also done out of like necessity. If I had not drank that much milk, I would have died, honestly, because those were hot. Those were very good. - But you pay for it. - You pay for it later. - Brother. - But here is I think kind of, if there is a glass of milk half full take on this. - Okay. - It's that the more you do it, the easier it gets. It's kind of like cardio. You know, like the more you do it, the easier it gets. The more comfortable you become in the uncomfortable. I've started to look at each shoot as kind of a weekly ritual that I work my way up towards. And then that makes the whole experience kind of easier for me. But that's through many, many years in this game. - Yeah. - You know, like you'll learn these lessons and how you take those going forward. You'll learn those all firsthand, but just in doing, baby. - I cannot imagine the reps because I've done years of cardio and it has not gotten a single second issue. I'll tell you that right now. I love how to fuck it like in-shape people. And just like, it's like cardio. And it's like, I hate that. Maybe there will be an episode that afterwards. I don't want to go to the bathroom to cry a little bit. Maybe that will be the case. - Also, I just get this thing where like five hours later, there's just like a fire ball sitting right here. - Yeah. - Now I just want to eat more. - Crams are tough. - Yeah. - You might need to invest in a day of some sort. That helped me quite a bit. - I've been really conscious. - Yeah, but great product. - Did not pay me to say that, but great product. - He's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, you know, tons now is like candy, dude. I don't know what they did. - Yeah. - I mean, at the office, there's like chalk ones. We gotta get the candy. - The candy ones are good. - We got people under the tongue plug. I'm your guy. - Hey, let's get the candy ones in there. No, but those are, yeah. So that's kind of like my thing is that my guess was like, I'm gonna have a thumb beforehand. And then afterwards, I'm gonna just get right before and what I imagine it OD would be. And then also have a thumb cry a ton. - Yeah, yeah, exactly. But I did hear that there is possibly some adverse effects from just like taking thumbs, which is just like more bloating, but like I'm down to bloat. - Yeah, you know, any port and a storm. - Yeah, exactly. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Have you had to become like the like, expert of science in terms of eating certain things, like understanding the biology of what's going on in your stomach? - To be totally honest with you, I don't overthink this, you know. I always, like kind of the way that I compartmentalize is I'm like, you know what? Ray Lewis played 17 years in the NFL, you know? Like, yep, you know, he stacked those games and did a lot of years, you know, can be doing hot ones be more of a physical life-long liability than playing linebacker in the NFL. I tell myself, no, you know? And like, maybe that's just an idiot talking himself into something, but I'm always like, if he can do that, I can do this. But I really don't overthink the prep or even the post-game. Like, I kind of just eat light before rip the show and then go home, turn on the air conditioning, put on some basketball shorts and come, it's becoming like a Pavlovian way, a kind of a reward moment of my week that I actually really enjoy. - Yeah, you're like, I'm going to go home, put on some loose shorts. - Yeah. - Yeah, send in front of the AC. - I'm not on email, I'm not picking up any calls. Like, it's become kind of a really lovely part of my week that I look forward to. - Any, any, have you experimented with ice bats, if that helps at all? Does like the external temperature just kind of cool things down? - I've only done like a couple cold plunges in my life, but now the wheels are turning. - You're welcome, that was pretty by the way. Next one, I will ask you to go upside down. - Thanks Frank. - Head in there first. - I think there are worse parts that you might want to throw in there first. - And you're, you just did the math on that. So if I'm giving you some tips, we talked about the milk. The other thing is when you're eating these wings, you're gonna have sauce on your fingers, be very careful around the eyes, thoroughly wash your hands after every shoot 'cause you won't think about it. You'll go to take a piss and then you'll have a problem that's worse than the milk problem, you know? And I don't want you to learn that lesson the hard way. - I actually got, I don't know what it was, but something under my fingernail. And then like when I have my hand down like this, it's like pressing against my nail. And it just feels like I have a wound or something like it's like I'm hot pepper under my finger. - Sometimes I'll take a shower like that night or whatever, my whole body will be hot. - Yeah, and I'm like what's going on with my fingers? Like it was days after, like three days after. And I'm like I'm showering, I'm doing whatever, I'm trying to get it out. But there's something lodged out of my nail. - You'll be forever changed on either side of this thing. - I wash my hands like a fucking surgeon, surgeon at times I've done it. Like I'm in there and I'm like putting like the arms up like that and stuff like that and walking out like this. It's a, you gotta be thorough because when I was younger I had like cooked with a spicy pepper and like didn't wash thoroughly and it hurt. Like medically I thought I had a problem, but it was just learn every spice problem. - Yeah, you see, you figure it out. It wasn't anything real dangerous or scary. - I tried to melt down spicy candy once and I pepper sprayed the whole house. - Well, we did a video where we cooked and I just saw a thing of pepper on the counter and I just used it, but I guess the pepper that it was was remember the red pepper when we did the cooking video. It like everyone in there could not bring it. - Yes, yes, yes, it was pretty dangerous. - Oh God, well, it was fun. - Yeah, you'll be all right. I'll be fine, we'll see. You'll be fine, I'll be fine. - You're just like nervous thinking about it. I'll be like six months down the line but I don't know if I could do it. Fuck. - Well, a lot of good news, be getting good news. - There's another bigot, but unfortunately, I have some bad news. So as part of the initiation into the great fraternity of spice, we did bring some wings over here. He's got quite the pepynist step walking with these gods. - Yeah, you're smirking smiley bastard. - Oh, you have a preference. Do you want the flatter to the drum? - What is this? - I'm trying to think about which one looks not as sauce, but they both look even. - I have a feeling that this is just like a good hi-hi-ha-ha. Like they're not actually like hot, and it's just like, we got ya. - No, I don't think that Greg's gonna-- - They're hot. - Yeah, I know that was. - Why do I have one? - Why do I have one? - Because you're, 'cause what do you mean? Why do you have one? And now you'd be sitting there giggle McGee. - Also, you guys are in this together. - You guys are in this together. - Yeah, go, you got one now. - Oh, you really didn't expect that. Yeah, go, go get away, go, go get away. - Yeah, you're involved. We're all doing this now. - Now you got to be in. - You guys go on. I just want everyone to eat away. - All right. - I think we just got a rip dip. - Yeah, congratulations. - Thank you. - When is the first episode coming out? - September 30th, that was a good one. September 30th, the first episode on the first we feast YouTube channel will be coming out. So look forward to that. No idea what time, but we'll figure it out along the way. But definitely go check it out. These are definitely hot because I sniffed it and it punched me in the back of the fucking YouTube channel. - It smells good, honestly. - Cheers. - Cheers. - Here we go, baby. Cheers to you. - Let's go. - And let us know how our technique is as well. - So I like the technique for both of you. It's just very shoot first, ask questions later. - Oh my god, I'm hell. Why do we have-- (laughs) - No. - You can't breathe too much. 'Cause if you breathe and you kick something back like into your sinus or something, good night. - Bro, boy. - I do love how quick you're learning. You know, I love how you're picking all these things up. - I'm trying to like eat while breathing. Holy shit. I'm trying to eat while breathing out. 'Cause there was a time where I was breathing in as I did, thank you God, in heaven. What is my, oh, here it is. Oh man, my hands are shaking. - No, right. I want to like, I want to sing like Lynn Biscuit. - The glasses are fogging up a little bit. - Something wrong. What's going on here? - Don't get, don't do it. - Come on, this isn't right. Okay, we're not gonna make people throw up here. - I'm not, you want milk? - What? - Help, I want help. If milk is help, I need it. - I think I'm, oh, fart. - I'm gonna try and do it. Do you personally try to be like, I'm not drinking any milk? - So what I always do is kind of mirror what the guest does. That way they don't feel like they're being silly or something. I'm always trying to let them know that no matter what you're going through, no matter how crazy you think you're acting right now, the way crazier things have already happened in this show. So if you're gonna reach for milk, that's okay. I'm reaching to, I'm always kind of giving whatever energy they're giving to the show. I'm always trying to like, return it and equal an opposite measure. I'm always meeting them halfway. - Do you find that most people are trying to be like, I'm not gonna have anything. I'm just gonna, what I have found. - Fuck, you guys were saying they're talking over the time of your life, but I'm best now. - That's, he's a host, he is understanding the rhythm of all of us. - Now watch this, yeah. - Yeah, look, lock in. - You don't wish that. - Just lock in. - Look at this, I got this. - But I think the guests who walk in with humility end up doing the best. It's the ones that I think walk in with a kind of a cockiness or swagger about how they're going to do. That always backfires every time. - Okay, and also one of my very serious questions is I feel like you're regarded as one of the best interviewers that we have in this day and age. What advice do you have for me for that approach as far as that goes? - You know what? I would say like just whatever you're naturally curious about other people will be curious about. So kind of let your own impulse and your own instincts let that drive how you construct an interview. Like don't try hard. Just marinate in the life of somebody else. Try to understand them. Do a little armchair psychology and then whatever you're naturally curious about. Like let that shape the interview and then hope for the best, man. Hope for the best. - How the fuck are you having a normal conversation right now? I think that he's right in that when you do it and you're just like a little bit more comfortable in whatever I'm definitely in pain. It really feels like a scorpion bit my lips. Like I have like two lines like a vampire like fang to me right here. And it's just like a space. And I'm gonna pay for that. You're very confused by what I'm saying, aren't you? - Who's fucking? - No you don't. - You're drinking and then you drink. - Ryan, did you, did you, did you, we got the sun goes crazy. - We got the right host. You know, it's like you're learning all of the lessons and you're either even learning the rhythm of it. You know, like the way you ate it fast, you got it down and then you were on your feet like a cat. You know, like ready to feel the question. Ready to react to the rhythm of the show. - If there's a pussy over here, this guy right here, I'm telling you right now. - Well, this is a mistake and this is a great compliment that I'm getting at the moment. - Yeah, sweet guys. - I have big shoes that not feel, I guess, but. - Fucking God. - I have a big, something. - Something, I can't think right now obviously. There's a lot of stuff firing in my mouth. - God, I will say this is delicious milk. This is a whole milk. - He loves whole milk. - Oh, I love whole milk. - It's the right kind of milk for this situation. If they came over here with skin milk, I was gonna throw it in their face. - Does anyone ever ask for almond milk and then you got to break it to them? - Yeah, no, I mean, no, we'll give it to them. So I don't, I mean, here's the thing. Like, yes, you can try to explain to an ALS celebrity, like actually whole milk is the thing that you use, but the thing that I've noticed is like, as the show's evolved and guests have gotten more high profile over the years, the kinds of dietary requests are like the riders, just get weirder and weirder and weirder, and then you have these like nut based milks. And you know what I mean? So as that's happened, we always just try to be like the most comfortable, least comfortable interview show. So whatever kind of requests guests have about the lifelines that appear around them, we'll always just satisfy them, but like, yeah, you're right, the whole milk is the way to go, but it's actually rare that a guest is just going with whole milk, but that tells me that they know ball when they know ball. - I know ball, Sean Evans, I know fucking ball. - Isn't it true that almond milk and those milks don't really help? - No, you need fat, I think? - Yeah, yeah, to cut the, to cut the heat, but you got to know ball, like Frank deepened. Has anyone ever asked for just like fucking butter to rub on their mouth or like breast milk or something? - You know, I'm trying to think like, I remember like Gordon Ramsay brought in his own Mary Poppins bag of-- - You had the spray, right? - Spice antidote, he had, that was actually, who did that? That was Mark Rober who brought in like, he tried to like, he tried to fight spice with science. I remember like Gordon though, he would have like, doughnuts, at one point he brought a milk fire extinguisher. So it was a fire extinguisher and then he could blast milk out of it from across the studio, but he had like, on every wing something new, but here's another thing that you learn. - Okay. - Is that nothing really totally helps? Like you kind of just have to-- - That's a lot, bitch. - You kind of just have to surrender to the experience of it all and just try to survive. You know, people are always like, oh, what's gonna bring me back to normal? Like when we're in the middle of the interview and sometimes I'm like, you just gotta kind of ride it out. - Yeah, one thing too that I was very like aware of is not having chappelips 'cause I feel like if I have chappelips and I eat a hot wing, like I'm just gonna mess it up. - You'll feel it, you'll feel it. - It's gonna be bad. - Does anyone ever swung on you? Afterward, just like, yeah, like fucking square up in the center of the bitch. - Marcelo Hernandez actually like semi-recently. You know, he was just going through it in like a spice c hole on the bomb. You know, like fighting night terrors, but like wide awake. And then I'm hitting him with what I'm sure for him was just this insufferable game where I'm giving him, you know, like just a stranger than fiction news stories and having him decide if that actually came from Florida or somewhere else. And I don't think he's hearing a word that I'm saying, you know, like as he's trapped in his own hell. And I just keep rattling these news stories off. And then he got up, I would think, to take a lap around the room and he just kind of squared me up and we did it. And he just sent a hook, you know? Like I was able to, I was able to kind of fake, but it like looked like a really well-executed stunt punch in a movie. - Oh man. - I will say this. He is in movies now. - Yes, he is. And thank God you got a voice like silk because if you were out there and you sounded like fucking Gilbert Godfried or someone RIP, I guess. Or like a Long Island mile. - Yeah. - If you sounded like a Long Island medium. - The Long Island medium? - Yeah. - She's like, let me ask you something. Let me, let me, let me talk to you about this. - That would make this 10 times worse, but you are very well spoken and it gets me. (laughing) Did I use it right? - I've also been begotten from both of them. - You've been begotten from the front and the back. - Yeah, exactly. - Everything has been getting you. - I've begotten over here, now I'm getting it over here. It's really just a never mind. - Yeah. - I'm not gonna say that. - It's a God. - Well, I mean, boy oh boy. - Well, thank you so much for initiating us. We appreciate you taking the time to come on the show and make this announcement again. Thank you for the advice and the kind words as well. - Thank you for nothing for me. I got nothing here. (laughing) - I got nothing here. - I got nothing here. - It's an ever-expanding program play. - I know, I know. - I do appreciate that. - I'm the next one, we got you. (laughing) But, you know, I wanna say I've been a fan for a long time. So it's awesome to bring in the fold and I'm really excited for what you're gonna do. And I always think, you know, like the hardest part of these things is finding a host that can rock with who the audience is gonna love. And I really feel like we did that. I'm excited to see what you do. - That's crazy, that's high-priced. - I just got a panic attack, which he was like, the expectations, no, thank you for saying that though. I appreciate that, but thank you, man. This has been amazing, is there, you know, if you want to check out Shawn go follow him on social media. - This camera, this camera, this camera, show him to you. - You know, hot ones, obviously, they've got a much bigger audience than we, than we've been gotten over the, (group laughing) but that is a, I'm sorry. - I almost caught one of those in the eye, but thank you guys so much for watching September 30th. Go check out Hot One's Game Night, and you'll see when Frank is on that show, and showing it, thanks for coming, and we'll see you guys next time. - See you September 30th.
