515 - The Cornell 7, Bari Weiss, & A Botched Execution
73m 15s
Christophe Pike’s failed execution in Tennessee has ignited widespread public debate, both about the brutality of the death penalty and the broader failures of the justice system. In her first post-incident interview, Pike described the execution as painful, inhumane, and spiritually distressing, emphasizing that she was not dead and was enduring agony. The event has become a symbol of systemic failure, with critics arguing that the U.S. cannot carry out basic state functions like execution—highlighting a deeper crisis in governance and accountability. The conversation expands to a scathing critique of the college system, which the speaker views as a deceptive, debt-driven trap that undermines real-world skills and personal growth. They argue that college is marketed as a path to success, yet leads to financial ruin and a life of unfulfillment. The discussion also turns sharply toward tech elites like Peter Teal and Sam Altman, who are criticized for their detachment from human experience and their pursuit of technological dominance over society. The speaker contends that these figures represent a new form of corporate barbarism, unresponsive to public suffering and devoid of empathy. Ultimately, the narrative is one of deep cultural disillusionment: a society that has lost touch with human values, real work, and moral responsibility, with institutions—both educational and technological—seen as hollow and self-serving. The speaker calls for a radical reimagining of what education, work, and public life should mean, urging a return to practicality, authenticity, and human connection.
The failed execution of death row in May Christophe Pike has left many questions up in the air. CBS News has now spoken with Pike from her hospital room in her first interview since the incident. What is your take on the Cornell 7? Wait a minute. Am I live? Do you want to speak up against the Cornell 7? Silence is complacency. I'm really marginally familiar with the case. Again, they didn't check me with a bunch of poison and I did think I'd be dead right now. That being said, obviously the conduct is deplorable. There was an affidavit that she had signed two years earlier, where some of the events seemed different, although when drugs or alcohol are involved, nothings exactly goes by the letter of the law. Are they going to kill me again? Have the execution been successful? Pike would have been the first woman executed in Tennessee in more than 200 years. I remember the chaplain saying, may God have mercy on her soul, and then everything went black. And I was all, you know, I requested an old female execution group. Well, had gone my face, I told them to shoot me in the head. Now, you haven't posted in support of Jane Doe. Do you want to comment on that? Well, I was being injected with poison in the death chamber of the Nashville penitentiary. And I was dying and I had a spiritual advisor kind of leading me in a song. And that was where my mind was at, you know. But in hindsight, I do think it would have probably been a good idea to at least make a small post about this to try to let people know that I was on the right side of history. And for that, I am sorry and I do regret it. When I am executed again, I promise to use my platform to condemn the actions of the Cornell 7. Despite her initial silence on the Cornell 7, Pike did offer her thoughts on a number of other current events. I like mom Donnie. I'm excited about what he's doing. I have certain reservations, but I'm cautiously optimistic for the youth. I really am. I just don't love the Timothy Chalamades in everything. As of now, Pike's execution has been halted for the remainder of the year. The Charlie Kirk thing never made any sense to me. It seems like his soonest he turned on his real life. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Tim Dylan show. A lot going on this week. A lot we need to address. And it's not easy because this is this is these are the weeks that I walk in here and I go, my job is tough. It's tough and people don't understand that. I wish I was doing construction or in some mine like you lucky fucks. You're in a mine. You know, nice it is with a couple of my buddies in a mine, how nice that would be. But I'm here in front of millions of people going on the record about the issues of the day. You know, nice would be to be a public school teacher or it's a relatively unimportant job like that. You know, you know, nice it would be to have a job that nobody cared about like a firefighter or a pediatrician. Oh, put the bandit on the knee enough. I'm here going on record about the issues of the day. I didn't go to Cornell. My best friend didn't. We went to community college and we both said we were going to succeed and I did drugs and dropped out and sold subprime mortgages and he really tried hard and he went to Cornell and I'm so much more successful than him right now. It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. He said that to me recently. It's unbelievable. But he has an Ivy League education. What does it mean? So what? Nothing. If there's no heart, where's the heart? Where's the heart? Okay. I don't have group sex. It's tough enough to get one person on board. When I get out, wait, wait. It doesn't take a village enough with this. College is done. You're done now. You're done. I'm sick of it. I'm telling you right now and I'm dead serious. I've had enough with it. I've had enough with it with the hazing, with the whatever it is. The group activity, the gang land, fuck fast. You're done now. You're going to be electricians and you're going to be plumbers. You're done. You're not going to be what you think you're going to be AIs coming and you better realize this life that you think you're living. You're going to live in another way. You'll die for Israel. You will die for Israel. These colleges are getting close to fuck down. And if this is what you're going to do, text your buddies and say we got pussy in the in the dorm for everybody, then you're going to die for Israel. And I'll support it. Baby. You will die in fucking Southern Lebanon for Israel's expansionist policies. If this is how you're going to behave in college when you have to mean your mother took student loans out. You pig. We took coasts on your student loans. But seriously, can anyone explain? I date younger men sometimes. I'll go out with them. They graduate college and a few years have to call and they're sitting there. They don't know what's going on. What the hell? They don't know. What does this do for anyone anymore? This college. What does this do for anybody? I'm genuinely asking. It is crazy. It's crazy. It's either a tent encampments or or or or fuck fast rate festival. Whatever. I'm telling you right now, I don't like this whole system that we've set up with college where people I rip my scumbag family and I and I say that would love. I always do. All they said to me was go to college. Make sure you go to college. That's all they told anyone in my hopeless generation of nothings. Myself included, by the way. They told us go to college, just go to college. They didn't give us any guidance in life. Not about morals, ethics, dignity, hopes, dreams, health, wellness, fitness, sex, love, anything. No advice on any other topic, money, real estate, career, nothing. Just go to college. That's all our parents told us, hey, go to college. Go to college. They'll figure it out. Just get a college degree, get a piece of paper that says you went to college and then they pointed some guy in the street and go, or you're going to be like him. And it was a construction guy like a normal guy making money to feed his families, probably doing well now. You probably want that job now. You go, you want to be like him? You want to be a garbage man? That's a great job. They said that all the time. You're going to be a garbage man. You better go to college. Go to college. It was a way to not parent your children. Go to college. Get it degree. Go to college. Get a job. Sit in a suit. I'm in a suit. Not, not any advice in any other area of life that would have mattered. Somewhere along the way in history, we started demeaning any other job that didn't make you a fat, corporate cog and a slob. That's what we wanted. We wanted gluttonous slobs at their desks watching CP on their lunch break, sexual deviant pigs on the Midwestern sales wrap from the you're a pedophile. That's where you are. And you went to college. It is what it is. You're following my logic here. Yes or yes. I hope you are. What is this college? Shit, it's terrible. It's terrible half the time. These liberal arts colleges, these people are going insane. These kids are going insane. They're inventing new ways to be crazy. And then these frat fox, I've had enough if you're going to be gay, be gay, but don't stand there in your underwear and then smear each other with peanut butter and then talk about heterosexual behavior. It's like if you're all going to get hot and sweaty in a basement naked, which I'm all for. I'm all for that, but it's gay. Just be gay. What is this? I really have had enough. You know, I really am thinking about it. This idea and colleges have allowed all these fake industries to grow private equities like the biggest end all it does is buy things and destroy them. Everything
that you liked that sucks now is private equity. I major in finance, I major in finance, finance. And they just all get into the pipeline of these companies. College explodes these sectors of the economy because of college, by the way, because everybody needs to go get a white collar job destroying earth instead of going and doing something else. You can do things without college. You can be in sales, you can have a trade, you can be a chef, there's so many things you can do. Real world experience is such a big thing. I gotta be honest, the scam of Sally Mae and student loans, people graduating six figures in the whole in debt, moving to cities they can't afford. Charging everything, putting everything, putting themselves deeper and deeper into debt, putting everything on a credit card, paying their student loans, student loans can't discharge them in bankruptcy. They follow you to the ends of the earth. I hope those four years were fun. This is not a sustainable model for a society. It's not a sustainable model for a society. It's not. I went to community college and I dropped out. I dropped out. I knew it was bullshit immediately. I knew it made no sense. I was like, this is crazy. Yes, times in my life I regretted like not going to some school because it's deep, the college is part, from the animal house days. Till now people, it's a dream that you're gonna have the perfect college experience and that they're gonna be the best four years of your life. Nothing is going to be the best four years of your life. I'm telling you right now, I'm telling you right now, you better cut that out. Sam Altman's gonna make you into a liquid. You're gonna be a fucking liquid. You, nothing's gonna be the best four years of your life. You better reign it the fuck out. You high, the best four years of your life. You're gonna be a liquid or a gel or a gas. You understand me? If you're into 25, you better fucking lock in the best four years. What the fuck do you think this is 2005? Let me tell you right now. We don't have drafts anymore. We just send people to die and everybody goes and gets drunk so there's no drafts anymore, okay? And we have a bunch of people wandering around this country. You know, aimless with tons of student debt because they went to a school chasing the quote best four years of their life. They graduated Myred and Debt, Myred and Debt. And they're gonna die for Israel and I'm not supporting it. Sorry, you made your bed. You made your bed now. Whatever Israel's doing over there, I don't know what they're doing. I do from what I understand they're giving the Palestinians water, I think, and rebuilding their homes. Is that not it? Anyway, you're gonna be doing that. You'll be doing that because college is a scam and we're done with it now. We're done with it. We're done listening to you, bitch and moan about how expensive it is. You're to move to Phoenix and you're to sell real estate. Now, you're to move to Phoenix, you're to move to Phoenix. There's no best years of your life anymore. You will be in a hot car without air conditioning, going to open houses in Phoenix during the summer months and that's your fucking life you will have skin cancer. The best four years of your life. You're out of your mind. Peter Teal's gonna put you in a cage, a digital cage that you can't even see or feel until you try to break out of it, in which case you're thrown back. That's what it is. Those anthropic fox are going to take you down. What is college for anyway? The every five minutes they keep saying we're taking all the jobs. We're not going to be leaving any crumbs for the people. The jobs are leaving. I think they're exaggerating that obviously. I think the timelines a bit hurried. I think they've raised a lot of money and lost a lot of money these tech guys and a lot of them. And they're asking for regulation from the government in the form of a big massive bailout. They know the government cannot regulate them because they know our octogenarian senators have no idea what's going on. You think Mitch McConnell is gonna walk in an anthropic and start cracking the whip? Hey, show me the latest model boys. Show me the latest model boy. Where do I look? Our senators are dead, they're dead. So nobody's afraid of them walking into fucking open AI. They don't understand a cell phone. The people in Congress don't understand a cell phone. So they're not going to be regulating an anthropic. They don't know what it is. Okay, they have no idea what it is. Okay, they think it's restoration hardware or something. They think you buy a couch there. Who's going to exactly regulate these companies? The people in our government who know nothing? No, they're not afraid of that. And the people in our government who do know something were installed by the tech people. So they're not regulating anybody. So all these tech people go, "We need money because we've created a monster." And if you knew how bad this monster was, I'm telling you right now, and listen, the monster's creepy, AI's creepy. But I don't think it's taking everything tomorrow. But let's grant them even a small percentage of what they say is true, let's say half. And that's maybe an inflated estimate at the moment. But whatever, what the fuck are you doing at the University of Ohio other than going to football games? What are you doing? What job are you gonna do? Get a trade, truly. This is a trade, what I'm doing is a trade. I didn't study this. I didn't study this, this is a trade. That's what it is, I did not go to school for this. I know that shocking. This is not the result of a graduate degree. It's the result of a trade. I spent time in a trade. This is a beautiful thing. Trades are beautiful things, actually. You know, and I just think this idea of this corporate, this funnel to an unfulfilling life through college, settled with that, being weird and doing weird shit. And, you know, and I don't know, I'm not a lawyer here. Sunny Haas had gotten trouble in the view of the friend of the show, Sunny Haas, and we love her. She got in trouble saying, listen, you're not gonna get a rape conviction. I don't think you will either, but I'm not a lawyer. I don't think you will. She had a statement saying it was consensual, whatever. I'm saying it's a grotesque behavior to offer up free pussy and say, you know, hey, we got free pussy in a room and you could come in and whip it out and it's the shop still open. And this is all grotesque behavior. And if this is what people are doing, if this is what they're doing in college, it can go die for Israel. That's what it is. And can someone give me, can Robert Kraft give me money now? I mean, enough, split this and send it to Bob Kraft with a question mark and my face would a dollar in my mouth. Photoshop a dollar in my mouth and go like this. There's the money. If you're gonna haze each other to death and fucking just have orgies and then I gotta get annoyed by all the eats so negative on social media, it is negative, it is negative. You're trying to eat a group or sandwich like a person in DuPort Beach and everyone on the internet is talking about rape. Coastlaw on the side, add jack cheese, melt in. And now let me go on my machine and scroll. Everybody's talking about rape. I don't like it, I don't like it, it's not fun for me. What about home renovations? Something fun, remember that? Remember HGTV? How fun that was, you'd fix a bathroom? I know no one can own anything now, so that's less popular, but that was nice. Remember, house hunters abroad? What can you get in Peru or something? That was nice. Let's go back to that. We need to go back to early odds, pleasantness. The society needs to be pleasant to society, it's not anymore. It's a vulgar, angry, vicious society.
to go back to pleasantries. We need to go back to Sunday morning. Oh, fresh bed. It's bread at the bakery and a little bit of coffee. I don't know how we're going to do that. I don't exactly have the road map to that. I don't have the time machine to get there. And I don't know what it's going to happen. Please support our show and tell them our show sent you. And if these five AI fox keep coming on TV telling everyone we're going to die. Here's what scares me about them. Zach, Dario, Wario Amote, whatever his name is, fucking Elon, fucking whoever else they've got in there, Saran, Saraman, all the whole crew. They're not people. This is what bothers me about them. They're not human beings. They're not even bad human beings. They're not human being. When you watch suck, when you watch Zuckerberg, when you watch any of these people, when you watch Sam Altman, when you watch Teal, they're not people. They're another thing. I don't know what that is. I'm not a theologian, but they're not people. So where is like the big bankers were bad people because they were greedy and heartless, whatever. They were people and they had identifiably human traits, although ones that one would call concerning to say the least, if you ran into a big greedy oil guy and then Ron a scammer or whatever, they were identifiably people. These guys, when you look at Altman and Zuckerberg, Elon, when you see these people talk, they are not people. They are not human beings. They don't love human beings. They are kind of weird around human beings. When Zuckerberg sits down with the Ovan and feels a human being in Zuckerberg, how do I approach this? How does this work? They do not like human beings. They human beings gum up their system. They get in the way of what they want to do and they don't love that. Human beings are really inefficient. That's what Elon must say. There's like an inefficient operating system that desperately needs an upgrade. I mean, this is what they all believe. They don't like sloppy humanity and they'd like to eliminate it. So you know, that's, and I'm not saying I won't have any good things either. There will be good things like everything. There will be good things. I'm a little uncomfortable that five people are running the planet and every 72 hours they are terrifying you into give it your have to give them all the money. We've built something you don't know how powerful it is. All right. It's going to take all your jobs. Okay. And we need more money. What? Yeah. We need more money and we need to build more data centers. We need to kick you out of your house. So that's what you have to be on board with now. By the way, you have to be on board with your tax dollars going to open AI and anthropic and then also a data center being built on a on the house where your mother died. And if you're not on board with that, you're not a good American, by the way. And Pete Hegseth can take a break from bombing the schools of children using AI, targeting, and he's bombing the schools of girls to then put an office of religion in the Pentagon in office of faith. I mean, what of fraud? How disgusting? How important and beach them all? It's heinous. It's hideous. It's grotesque. So we can't, you know, we can't even kill people in this country. We had we inject this bitch twice. We can't kill this bitch in Nashville. In Nashville, we can't kill a bitch. She strapped to a gurney. You've got a needle. And you still can't kill her. Now let's leave out for a minute to death penalty in the corporate barbarism, the totalitarian, whatever. I'm actually pro death penalty in certain cases. I really am. I'm sorry. I know people aren't. I really am. I think it's a tool. And I don't think everyone can be here. Sorry. What did she do? She did something horrible. What did she do? Bring up what she did. Chop her head off. Cut her head off. Cut her fucking head off. Fuck you if you have a problem with it. She was convicted of the first red murder torture conspiracy of 19 year old Colleen slimmer. Cut her head off. Who gives a fuck enough with this shit? Sick of this fucking country. Cut her head off. We can't even kill someone. It's a fucking embarrassment. This is what heels point. This is all these tech people's point. You can't even kill a bitch. They're like, you don't want AI. You can't kill a bitch in fucking jail. On January 12, 1995, 18 year old Pike her boyfriend, Tadarl Ship and their friend, Shadala Peterson, Lord fellow job corpse student Colleen slimmer to his secluded wooded area on the University of Tennessee agricultural campus. Pike believe a slimmer was interested in shit. Pike and ship brutally tortured and bludgeoned slimmer. Cutting her with a box cutter and a meat cleaver and striking her with a piece of asphalt. Slumber stroke was slashed while she begged for mercy. Here's a deal. I try to be a Catholic. Jesus would not execute them. I'm not Jesus. It is very hard to be a Christian and it is very difficult to be a Christian every moment of the day. And it is, it is really tough to be. My grandmother tried to live as live in the examples of Jesus. It's a very difficult thing to do. Most people don't do it. No one in our government does it. Int int int int int. Okay. So yes, the instinct should be forgiveness. Turn the other cheek. It is the most difficult thing in the world. I also listen. Listen. Here's the reality. You got to be able to unfortunately, this woman tortured someone to death. It is what it is. It is, it is, you know, it's not something that I like to say. But when that second shot did not work and she was an agony, which is not right. We shouldn't be torturing people on their way out. We should have shot her in a head. It would have been humane. We should have shot her in her face, shot her in a head. And here's a thing like that. It would have been kind of unexpected for the audience. And it would have been something that I think a few of them would have went. That's a real story. Watching an execution is fine. But you go, it didn't work and she kept writhing around in pain. And then a deputy just said, fuck it and shot her in a head because it's Tennessee. I'm sorry. She torches somebody. She's on death row and I'm embarrassed that we can't kill her. And this is the fucking anthropics point. They're going to go, you can't even kill this bitch. You dumb, dumbs. Can we play a little of a news story about this? What's she going to do now? She's going to wake up. She's on a view.
Coming on the air with a breaking news update in the case of Christophe Pike, the Tennessee death row inmate who is still alive tonight according to her lawyer after an apparent botched execution attempt. Pike's attorneys are seeking an emergency stay from the Tennessee State Supreme Court to syringes of the lethal injection Penta Barberdall had been administered, but Pike still had a heartbeat and was audibly snoring and complained of pain according to witnesses. Correspondence with our Knoxville affiliate were there and they break down what happened? One, it has been a day unlike any I've ever experienced in my 30 plus years of reporting here at River Bend. It's brutal. Here's the state sanctioned death is brutal. We don't want it the machinery of state, but just someone going there and smother her with a pillow. Please, we can get over this while she sleeps. Just smother her with a pillow, please. We have to move on in this country. We have to show that people can do it. We're losing to fucking machines, you fucking retards. Go in there and blow her brains out in her bed and show these tech fox that people still rule. Otherwise, Claude is gonna do it. You know who wouldn't have fucked that execution up? Claude, Claude would or rock, but you know who did? These fucking inbred retards in the Tennessee prison system. So can someone please for the sake of humanity to prove that we still got it? Quietly walk into her room and blow her brains out. Let's continue watching. And by the way, this is a pro human piece that I'm doing and it's right and I'm right. As we waited and waited and waited for a moment that John, you eventually witnessed it. We don't know if it was the execution of Christophe. Because we don't know if she's alive or dead at this point. No, as we stand here in the parking lot right outside River Bend, we have no idea whether she's alive or dead. We were told basically at 8.49 pm tonight, you need to leave, it's time to go. And so that's what we did. We obliged and last we heard she was still breathing. Few minutes after we left the building and merged here, we were actually going to start talking to our colleagues in the media. I noticed a lot of flashing red lights off to our left. And I pointed over there and sure enough, it was a fire truck from Nashville Fire. I think a couple of ambulances. I'm going to infer they were picking up Christa dead or alive. I don't know. And then they took off. They did and the sirens after minutes. They went back and left. John, you have witnessed several other executions, this unlike anyone. It's how I come here, it's fire, I'm sure. Well, let's be clear. There's a problem with how this is supposed to be. I get a rouse. And my doctor said that that's something that is not unexpected. And it's not only sexual arousal. What's interesting is that my doctor said it's a response to any elevation in blood pressure. So when I watch the execution, my penis becomes erect. And I also feel my anus muscles loosening and getting wet. Now, as someone who's not a homosexual, that is interesting to me. But as I watch the execution, I myself want to be dominated in a way that I never have felt comfortable asking my wife to dominate me. I wanted to kind of straddle me with a dildo and peg me is the term and basically teach me a lesson because I long to be in the pain of the person being executed because it feels like the ultimate release. And what I've learned about sex, as I've gotten older, is that it's not just the mechanics. A lot of it is this cerebral thing's going on behind it. And I long for the release of that death. So to me, coming is actually like death. And I want to die many, many times and shed myself of the physical body so I can enter an ethereal realm where I completely remain at a low level of orgasm, sort of like a time release, which is what I imagine heaven is. They, they think this thing out. They put it in paperwork and there are steps. We were, by the way, look at him. He should not be allowed to watch executions this guy. You, this guy should not be allowed to watch execute. By the way, he is living his best life. He, this is his dream job. When he gets a call, it's going down Thursday night. He is happy. It's a, it's like a young kid being told that they're going to Disney World. When he gets to go to the death house. And my favorite movie when I was a kid was dead man walking with Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn. What an amazing film about Sister Helen Prasion who literally did the work of being a real Christian and minister to people on death row. And it's unbelievable. And it's one of the great, greatest films of our time, truly. But this man is very sick. Obviously the man we're looking at now. And all right, get him out of here. All right, she's not dead. I know what to do with everybody. I don't know what to do because I'm just, you know, again, it's a pro-human show. And I want to show that people have the, people still have the ability to really execute. And I mean tasks and people. If your job is to make sure she's going, you cannot fuck it up. It looks bad. It looks bad. I love Gusto. People can ask me, what is Gusto? And I'm like, wait, what? You're not using Gusto. When you run a small business, you don't just do the job. One of the oldest friends of the show truly and someone who's now making a foray and to stand up comedy, the great Barry Weiss, Barry Weiss is a, she's doing comedy now. She's doing a performance art. And I like it. I like it because when you're a creative person, you don't want to be boxed in. And I think she's just been boxed in. And that's a crowds reaction. Take a look at the crowd. a teal and the rest of them. That's the crowd's reaction over
the comedy. She's new. Hey, guys, she's a beginner about you lighting up. She's a beginner. She's been running CBS news. She's a beginner. So Barry is now starting on comedy, but she's got raw talent and charisma. So if you pair that with work, work ethic and then a desire to dominate the world and subject it others, which we know she has, I think she will do actually very well in this. So let's play one of her first sets that's on camera. We have Barry Weiss doing comedy for Peter Teal. And I believe the Paletteur audience and they're a fun-loving group. And so here she goes. Barry Weiss, friend of art show for a very long time doing stand-up comedy. Here she is. The Axel Spring Award, 2026, goes to Peter Teal. Of course. Please welcome on stage the CEO of the Free Press and Editor-in-Chief of CBS News. Barry Weiss. I want to begin tonight by thanking you all for attending my lecture on the Antichrist. For all the media journalists who are watching this or pouring over this transcript, that was a joke. I only talk about the Antichrist at my secret weekly meeting supervised by the Mossad in Tel Aviv. What's not a joke is that I'm deeply grateful to be here in Berlin with Matthias Doffner, a true friend and ally. All right. Stop it right there. Now Barry goes up. And she's nervous. You can tell she's nervous because she hasn't done anything in public in a while. She's been in a bunker in CBS News and she's surrounded by security guards all day every day. And if you as much at CBS News, go, "Hey, I'm going to get a Caesar rap. You want something? They'll kill you." That's the imagined threat level she's under. So she has not been in books. She used to do these debates and she was in public a lot. I open one of them with stand-up. I open up two of them. Paid me well, very nice. I've told someone recently she still thinks I'm funny, which I appreciate. I appreciate. And so she is giving Peter Teal some award. He's won an award. I don't know. He doesn't seem happy about it. And no one around him seems happy, but it's an award that Axel Springer. Can you look that up? What kind of award that is? I'm curious what kind of award he's getting. But I imagine it's for his humanitarian work. You know, he's always trying to help people from what I understand about him. But Barry is there. Now Barry is kind of, she's doing a playful roast because we all know Peter Teal gives lectures about the anti-Christ. We also know that Peter Teal owns the company Palantir, which provides a lot of tech to Israel for what they're doing in Gaza. So Barry does a joke. She goes, "Okay, so it's the Axel Springer award. Click on that." Oh, he's he honored Teal for creating new markets, driving technological chains, and shaping digital payments in data. Oh, it's a digital payment award. Amazing. Well, by the way, hats off, congrats. So Peter Teal is in Germany to accept a digital payment award. And Barry wise is hosting the event. And Barry goes out and goes, "Hey, this is my speech on the anti-Christ playfully." Talking about Teal, and then she goes, "No, no, no, no. I actually only give that at my secret meeting," which he has. Peter Teal has that secret group. And everyone that was in it got outed. And she goes at the Masad meetings in Tel Aviv. Now, Palantir works with the Masad and the CIA and they provide a lot of weapons technology for the Israeli, for the IDF. Peter Teal does give lecturers on the anti-Christ. Peter Teal also has a secret group. Barry Honey, baby. Barry Sweetie Darlin, where's the joke? Honey, it's got to be a bit. Baby keg, sweetie, it's got to be a bit. You can't just go out there and say three provably true things and hope everybody laughs because of how ridiculous they are. They're all provably true. They're on Wikipedia. You could prove that case in court. He has a secret group. He works with the Israeli army on the Masad and he's fucking gives lectures on the anti-Christ. So she's going out. Now, this is how detached she is. She thinks that this is, she's making fun of the absurd suggestion that disguise lecturing about the anti-Christ in Tel Aviv, which he would. Why wouldn't he? He's doing it in Nashville. He'll do it in Tel Aviv. He makes more money in Tel Aviv than Nashville. But Barry comes out and lays this all out as if it's played again. It's unbelievable. It's a fact. She states three facts. Here she is, Barrywise. She's rushing too. Pause it for a minute. When you're bombing, you're usually rushing. I've had bad sats and you're usually going like this and you're going really fast because you're hoping to get to something going to make someone laugh. Please I got issues. I want to begin tonight by thanking you all for attending my lecture on the anti-Christ. I only talk about the anti-Christ at my secret weekly meeting supervised by the Mossad in Tel Aviv. He has a secret club. He sells the Pounce Your Sells Their Weapons Tech to the IDF and to them. What? So now she's doing this. Now, he is in the seat. Go and can you shut your mouth. You know, here's the thing with her. They keep trying to make her a thing. The Mossad has to be so unbelievably embarrassed. Look at his face. Look at his fit. The Mossad has to be so embarrassed by the money they gave her. They go, can't she just go back to doing these debates and stop whatever the hell she's doing. She's bringing heat on the whole operation. This is like the scene in good fellows when they're like, I told you don't get a new fucking car. Like, you know, like, so this is Peter Tiel's face at Barry Weiss' attempt to comedy when she's just stating facts about him that she thinks are quirky. Keep playing us. I want to keep, I want to see where she pivots to because Barry does love a pivot. Secret weekly meeting supervised by the Mossad in Tel Aviv. What's not a joke is that I'm deeply grateful to be here in Berlin. None of it was a joke. Honey, honey, when you have to say what's not a joke, none of it was a joke. That's why the audience is sitting there and stunned silence because none of it's a joke. They don't know why you've put it all together. So well, you've genuinely linked it all up quite nicely. You've summarized three hours of info wars into one pretty believable anecdote, tidbit, that you decide to open the thing up with. But go on, keep going. Hoffner, a true friend and ally and with Axel Springer, a company with morally clear values and leaders willing to stand up for them. What? And obviously I'm happy to be here with all of you. Back home, there is a quote widely attributed to Bismarck. God has a special providence for fools, drunkards and the United States of America. Now, who knows if the German Chancellor actually uttered the backhanded compliment? But I love it, as do so many others, because it gets to a higher truth about my country. The America is a very lucky place. It's a lucky place to be born and it is a lucky place to end up. It's why people from every corner of the globe still reach for our shores as a place to build, including our Frankfurt, Frankfurt born honoree. Tonight, I have the pleasure to introduce a man whose life she's using Peter Till as a as the example of the American dream. That's great. That is kind of cool. Well, that is pretty hilarious. She's using a guy that built a defense tech company that is murdering people in at a massive scale all over the world. Here's what you're saying is it's still it's a lucky place. It's a lucky place. That's why people from all over the world come here in hopes of starting an AI defense company that can massacre people all over the world because it's a lucky place. America, by the way, the God, she left America. He doesn't even live here anymore. He's living in Argentina. Keep going. God, I can't get enough of her. She's just, she's just top notch, isn't she? Every time you think it's bad, it gets worse. It's it's unbelievable. It's on. By the way, what are the elephants even doing? You know, Larry Ellsson calls his son, goes, what are you doing with her? I guarantee you, Larry Ellsson calls to say, I don't even know, and I don't have any vote. I guarantee you, Larry Ellsson's going, what exactly is going on with her?
I know you had a few nice dinners, but what's happening here, okay? >> His character embodies what I think of as the quintessential American spirit. Heretical, driven, audacious, pioneering, innovative, entrepreneurial, original, eccentric, and above all, ferociously independent. And that, of course, is Peter Teele. Peter Teele is many things. He is a center of gravity in Silicon Valley, a vanguard of the counter elite. He's a man whose name is- >> By the way, I'm just delighting in this, really, this is made for me. This is like a tailor-made, I want nothing more than to watch this. This is what I curl up with, with a nice Copa, a nice Bola Hagenas. And, you know, other people want to watch, like, I don't know, the Hunger Games are fucking, you know, they want to watch The Godfather, they want to watch Resident Evil. All of those three movies together, to me are this, to watch one sociopath, given award to another psychopath, is unbelievable. It's actually the most, Barry Weiss, giving an award to Peter Teele right now, is a gift to me from Almighty, like, thank you, I don't deserve this. I do not deserve this at a digital payments conference in Berlin. I mean, stop it. And Barry's dressed in all black, stop it. And she's saying, Peter Teele's the American dream. And he's ferocious, entrepreneurial, independent, like, it's, and he's sitting there emotionless waiting for it to end. He goes, when will they get her off the stage? Peter Teele wants the Sandman to come out with the Apollo, with the hook. And get her off. Peter Teele doesn't want his shit discussed. Peter Teele just goes, give me the fucking award. He's sitting there looking at her, going, God, your mediocre, adult, keep going, please keep going. I, I, I'm not going to play this whole thing because it's too long. How long is this, by the way? Her speech is like 10 minutes. Oh, it's only 10. We might stick with it, folks, I'm telling, I'm telling you right now, it's too good. This is two. First of all, number one, let's just think about this, folks, whose idea was this? Number either one of their PR, whose idea was this? Where is the president of CBS News? She's giving Peter Teele an award in, in, at a Germany digital payments conference, didn't this happen recently? This woman is supposed to be the impartial head of one of our greatest legacy news brands. She's giving an award to the head of a defense tech AI surveillance company who's left the country doesn't even live in America. I mean, God, it's so good, it is so good. And they wonder why everyone hates them. They attack people, the elites, the people, the people go, why is everyone mad at the cost of a burrito? You know what they're really mad at? You. They hate you. Yes, the cost of the burrito is annoying, but when you do shit like this, it's unbelievable. Oh, God, keep going, please. I'm a Rorschach test, the world over, including judging from the protest down the street here in Berlin. But above all, I would say, Peter Teele is free. The New York Times colonists moring down once called Teele a walking oxy moron. And in a certain light, it can certainly appear that way. Is he a traditionalist or a transhumanist? Is he the ultimate insider or the consummate outsider? An orthodox Christian or the most prominent unorthodox figure of our age? A prophet of doom who believes that we're in a period of technological stagnation or a utopian who thinks we're on the precipice of beating death itself. Pause us. She's asked to give this guy an award. Now I feel bad for him. This is a bad, this is a bad, Barry Weiss is at her job. She makes you feel bad for the devil. If Barry Weiss was giving an award to the devil, you would go, you halfway through it, you'd have to go, oh, really has to sit through this. This is how bad Barry Weiss is. She's there to give this guy an award. She goes, is he a prophet of doom? Can you imagine giving someone an award and that's one of the lines in the speech that nobody takes a big marker out with red pen and goes, hey, huh, that's a little negative. We're kind of giving him an award for whatever, whatever fucking markets he built in this digital payment. You know, this bullshit world doing here. We're just giving him an award. It's like, you almost say, oh, is there no editor, does she have no editor? Does her wife for anyone who a wife is a really good writer? Does anyone grab it and go, hey, honey, you call them a prophet? Now, by the way, she happens to be correct, but it's the guy's fake award. I mean, come on. He's a great organization and that is just one of the many things that confounds his critics. But what those who love him and those who love him just a little bit less can't dispute is this. He sees things before the rest of us do. He knows what's coming and seems consistently to get there first. It's an extraordinary quality and one that's given him an astonishing track record. Like back in 1998, betting on an e-commerce platform when no one knew what an online order was. Like launching the teal fellowship and urging bright young people to skip college long before anyone dared say out loud that much of American higher education had gone bust. Or writing an email to Mark Zuckerberg back in 2020 that high housing costs and student debt would drive legions of young people to reject capitalism and embrace socialism. Or making or making the crazy bet that Israel might go into Gaza and kill everyone. Who would have thunk it, only Peter Teal? The DSA was making daily headlines or predicting the rise of a global movement around AI safety
ism years before people knew what AGI even stood for. I don't think those are lucky breaks. They happen because Peter actually lives out that classic apple slogan. Think different. He's able to see around corners because he sees the world differently from other people. And he has people around those corners going here's what's going to happen, but go on. Which means of course, like everyone in this room, Peter Teal and I have our differences. He's a gay man. I'm a gay woman, which makes us cosmic foes. He's into sea-steading. I get seasick in a canoe. He believes that Messiah has come and I'm Jewish, so I'm still waiting for him to show up. And of course, there's the difference in our attitude at least sometimes toward the press and to the vital role that it plays in maintaining a liberal democracy. I view it as essential. It's my life's work. I see it as an instrument of liberty and as an engine of progress that deserves to be invested in and perfected. But to the extent Peter and I disagree on this, I'm going to consider it a victory for my side of the argument that he's here tonight receiving an award from an institution that's become synonymous with freedom of the press and just freedom around the world. Because in a free world, we won't always agree. That is in the nature of freedom. And I want to live in freedom. I want to live alongside people, even those that I disagree with. I would say especially those that I disagree with. Thank you. I'm thinking freely and in risking big and in risking being wrong. Such terrible right. Three people expand the scope of what is possible for all of us. My brilliant colleague Ross Dalfit recently called Peter the most influential right wing intellectual of the past 20 years. I think that might be true. But what that label right wing or conservative misses is how strange and wild, how untamed Peter's worldview is. It's why it's so fun to sit across from him in a conversation or an interview because you never know where he will go. He might wind up saying he's not sure if freedom and democracy are compatible or seriously considering, as he did recently, whether or not the human race should continue. I think in the end the answer. These are bad. Let's pause it for a minute. Honey, these are bad things. I just want to reiterate that my love, my dear. These are not good things. She goes, it's always fun to sit with Peter because he goes, he doesn't know if democracy and freedom are compatible. And maybe the human being shouldn't even exist. And that's a fun die now. You know, maybe, but he's a billionaire and he runs a huge company that has contracts with the government and it's subsidized to a degree with tax dollars a lot, by the way. So it's not nice, sweetie, that he wants to eliminate the human race. I know that you find it cute.
have dinner with them. It's quirky, but it's actually disturbs many of us keep going. Let's see if she finishes big. What a, what a real, not a, how long does this keep going? We can't, we can't, we can't go on here forever. Like another four minutes. I can go to the end. Oh, it's another four. No, we're giving her four. Listen, let me tell you right now. This is my super ball. The head of CBS news is giving Peter Teal an award in Germany. It is very wise. She's up there. He looks so uncomfortable. We're going to give her the next four minutes because she's just getting to the good stuff. She's saying he doesn't think a human race should exist and he doesn't believe in democracy. But that's one of the reasons she likes them. Continue. He says a world view informed by both Ayn Rand and Renee Gerard by Strauss and Tolkien, as you saw in that video. By Christianity, by libertarianism and techno optimism. And perhaps above all, by unorthodoxy, or as Gerard would have put it by anti-Memesis as a school of thought and as a practice as a habit of mind. That unusual blend has produced what is perhaps the defining question of Peter Teal's career. Are you saying that? That important truth do very few people agree with you on. He famously asks that to founders and to potential hires. But it's more than an interview stunt. I think that question is that the essence of Peter's character. What important truth do very few people agree with you on? Is a question that can only be asked and answered by someone with courage? Because it takes courage to interrogate your priors. It takes courage to say out loud the thing you know will set you apart. It takes courage to be lonely. There is a reason that so many public figures of our age seem to speak in perfect unison on every important topic. And there is a reason that we can count on one hand the ones that don't, which is why that quality, that willingness to be shouted out without going wobbly, is vanishingly rare these days. It's better to risk boldness than triviality. Peter writes in his book zero to one, which is available in bookstores everywhere. He needs the royalties. And it is a principle that Peter has lived out and then some in his own life. No one in the world can accuse tonight's honoree of being boring. It has also animated the most tangible way that he has changed our world through the companies that he has founded and funded. What happened to the future, Peter asks. And not with nostalgia, he asks it in order to change it and to challenge the rest of us to think bigger, to think in civilizational terms. And his companies have created the future. Paypal changed the nature of commerce. Palantir changed the nature of war fighting among many other things. And the countless number of startups and companies that Teal's capital has launched into orbit. Not to mention the vast network of founders and builders and young people, including even a free press intern that he has influenced. To name just a few, Metta, SpaceX, Neuralink, Andrewl, Hadrian, Airbnb, ramp, Stripe and Spotify. These are founders and companies that have transformed the way that hundreds of millions of people around the world live their lives, making commerce more efficient, making music and travel more accessible, launching satellites, manufacturing drones, promising future life on Mars, allowing the mute to speak as in the case of Neuralink. By the way, can you go mute? Where's the technology to get you to go mute? These are companies that make the American maybe the Western will to build alive and real, repelling to success the startups and the people that might just guarantee that the next century remains a free one. I know Germans like their operas long, so I am sure that we have only witness the first act in Peter's ring cycle. There will surely be more provocations, more ideas to test, more worlds to build. We are in the early stages of a century that Peter has said promises to be far greater and more terrible than the great and terrible 20th century, but greater and more terrible in what way? Well, the 21st century usher in machine gods, populism or rule by algorithm, apocalypse or abundance. A Strauss put the bigger question we all face or even or she goes or worse than any of those things me. Will it worse than anything worse than machine gods rule by algorithm or populism? Me more of me in this black outfit, this ill fitting black suit. Will it be more of me droning on in this ill fitting black suit? Does it have 200 million honey get a stylist? Keep going or return. What's amazing about Peter teal is that he can argue either side of any of those questions. What's more important and what I know we need as we hurdle through the era of AI and the algorithm is he is practiced at being perpendicular. In this era of conformity it is essential that we have sharp people unwilling to soften their edges. People who demand you soften your edges a little and crucially who still remain interested in the questions that so many left behind are frankly never even entertained by the time they graduated college. Peter teal still hungers for knowledge and understanding. I mean, these billionaires are sitting there going, when do we get to eat the children? When do we get to eat the children? When do we get to the green adrenal crumb? How long do we have to listen to this bird babble? Finish up here. In other way, he investigates what Socrates was accused of investigating the things aloft and under the earth. God help us. The pursuit of truth. The interrogation of the things that in the end truly matter. You repeat yourself. God knows we need people like that now more than ever. Oh boy. So please join me in giving a heartfelt congratulations to the singular Peter teal on receiving this remarkable award. All right. Give it a clap for Peter teal. Clap for Peter teal. They're good friends. That's what it's about. It's about friendship. Look at him. All right. Get her out of here. Barry Weiss. What a big disaster. What a horror. What are you going to do? Uh, Barry Weiss, giving Peter teal. The head of CBS News, she's the head of one of our legacy news networks. Her boss now runs everything. Warner, uh, the other one at Paramount, Warner CNN. I mean, you know, so this is what it's going to be now. You're just going to turn on the TV and it's going to be Peter teal getting an award. It'll be some tech guy getting an award about how he's built a new world. This is going to be the future of America. It's just going to be Barry Weiss or someone of that ilk going, hey, by the way, we're giving a great award now. A Tomark Andre San or Sam Altman's getting an award, you know, a lot of people say Sam killed one of his employees. But what is he? Is he a murderer or a visionary? We don't know. What is he? We don't really know what he is. We don't get it. Is Mark Zuckerberg even real? What's that guy about? Is he making people kill themselves by, uh, driving negative algorithms, uh, driving them insane with that? Or is he a fun guy that likes to jujitsu? We don't know. Isn't it wacky? What a weird speech. But that's going to be the future. They're just going to make what's the symbol of a guy about? What's he about? What makes him tick? Um, you know, that's as clear proof as Annie, by the way, that this is a supernatural government. Um, that she is now a part of, although I don't know how no one else does, including the people there, but I mean, it's like, um, it's unbelievable. To work your whole life to get into that room and then you're sitting there with Barry Weiss and you go, this is deeply mediocre and like really bad. It's like babbling. It's like not even collegiate level. It's like really bad. It's jumbled up. It's not delivered well. It's just bad speaking. It's all of the above. It's bad writing. It's bad presentation. It's like, you know, amateur hour. And there's a lot of demons in that room that go, I sold my soul to Satan to get in this room. I eat children to get in this room and I have to sit here and listen to her. I mean, this is a woman and with older respect, you know, to her. She was perfectly, she should be on like Bill Moore once every four months. And like, that's what she should be doing. That's what she should be doing. Like on Bill Moore, you know, like with a hot take. She's Bill Moore hot take lady. She's not like fucking, um, uh, fucking, um, Bill DeBurg group speaker the night. She's fucking hot take Bill Moore lady. These German billionaires are so bored. Oh, God. What's the, Peter, is he a prophet of doom or see an orthodox Christian? He's not an orthodox Christian. That's number one. Either am I, but it's, he's not that. She's like, is he humanitarian or does he want to kill everyone on the planet? It's like, well, no one's ever asked that question about anyone. So no one who's ever been a humanitarian is said or done anything like he's
done. I mean, it's just so funny. She's like, is he this or is he that? It's like, you can't ask those quite, you know what I mean? Is he a crackhead or the most trusting, the guy you should trust in your house? It's like, well, no, it's one of the two. There's no confusion about which extreme. Well, we love her. We love people living their dream. This is what she always wanted. Barry always wanted this. You know, she always wanted to be in a room like that, giving a speech like that to a bunch of disinterested German tech billionaires who desperately want it. And they literally don't know. She think, who is she again? They're at like the, they're at like dinner going, who is she and they go, she runs CBS news and go, oh, boy, interesting. It's they, here's a deal. Those people more than anyone are invested in the establishment. They are invested in the way things are supposed to work. The blue blood blazer button up, fucking Eastern elite, Bill DeBurg, Davos, W E F world economic shit. They're invested in that in a real way and, and, and she's the bitch giving the speech. They're like, what's going on? They want the top tier operators. And they need them because the dam of, of information. I mean, it's like, it's, it's breaking and the internet has made a lot of people wake up and, and, and, and, and it hasn't sent all the people in the right directions clearly. But a lot of people are going, hey, what's going on? Life doesn't make any sense. And it keeps getting more expensive and it's harder and it makes no sense. And no one will explain to me why this has to be done. But if there's any group of people that is invested deeply in the status quo and maintaining it, it is that group of people. And the fact that she is up there, like, like completely talentless is, probably terrifying them because they go, we need somebody at the helm who knows what they're doing. Otherwise, the world order is going to, is going to fracture here. She's going to fracture the world order. I'll tell you right now, if the Iran war doesn't do it, she's going to fracture the world order. Don't think they're not having those conversations. We're in a cafe and Brussels going, what? What's happening? The quality of this is going, what's going on here? Like what? Let her host big brother. Get her out of the CBS evening news. Oh, folks, it's always good to be with you. We'll be with you next week. Thank you so much for your time and, and congrats to Peter Till. Congrats on the award. And, you know, because here's the thing, we can have more differences. As Barry said, we can have our differences about Satan and the human race existing, people having any rights at all, but still, still enjoy our dinner here and say, Peter, we thank you and we thank Barry and long live, long live the, long live the Satan obsessed techno optimists. Good night.
