**Key Points 1. A woman recounts how her fiancé attempted to remove her birth control implant with a box cutter after a heated argument, revealing extreme emotional and physical abuse. 2. The fiancé admitted resentment toward their son, claiming he sees the child as a reflection of his ex, and stated he feels no paternal attachment, escalating to a dangerous physical threat. 3. The woman took medication to sleep and was unaware of the danger until she woke up to find her fiancé pressing on her implant with a box cutter, leading her to flee and seek legal protection. 4. She received overwhelming community support, with users urging her to file police reports, obtain restraining orders, and leave the relationship immediately due to clear signs of abuse and mental instability. 5. The fiancé later changed his behavior, becoming sweet and loving, but the community advised against reconciliation, emphasizing the seriousness of his prior actions and the need for safety. 6. The woman successfully obtained a restraining order, secured legal representation, and relocated with her son, taking precautions such as locking doors, using storage units, and sharing location with trusted family members. 7. A separate Reddit thread details a woman whose husband nearly caused a child endangerment by leaving a stroller unattended in traffic, with the husband’s inattention and lack of responsibility raising serious safety concerns. 8. A third thread reveals a boyfriend’s coworkers joking about violently harming the woman, including graphic threats involving murder and cannibalism, prompting her to seek police action and report the threats, leading to job losses and legal measures. **Summary This transcript features three deeply disturbing true Reddit stories that highlight extreme cases of emotional, physical, and psychological abuse in intimate relationships. The first story details a woman who discovers her fiancé attempting to remove her birth control implant with a box cutter during a heated fight, revealing his resentment toward their son and hostile attitude toward the child. The woman, overwhelmed and traumatized, quickly leaves the relationship, files for a restraining order, and takes extensive safety measures with the help of family and community advice. The second story involves a mother who witnesses her husband’s complete inattention when a stroller rolls into traffic, nearly endangering her newborn—despite the husband’s claim of it being an accident. The community emphasizes the danger of such negligence and advises her to prioritize child safety and seek legal protection. The third story involves a woman who discovers her boyfriend’s coworkers joking about killing her and feeding her to pigs, with one co-worker having medical training. She gathers evidence, reports the threats to police and corporate authorities, and successfully has the coworkers disciplined. The stories collectively underscore the importance of recognizing red flags in relationships, seeking help immediately, and prioritizing personal and child safety over reconciliation. They also reflect the emotional toll of abuse and the strength required to take decisive action, especially when faced with disbelief or stigma. The community’s support and practical advice play a crucial role in empowering victims to protect themselves and their families.**

My fiance tried to cut my implant out while I slept. Throw away count because I don't want this attached to my regular count. Anyways, I 25 female have a two year old son from a previous relationship. After I gave birth, I was asked about birth control. I said yes please. And now I have an implant, a birth control that gets inserted into your upper arm. I was told it last three years. Cut to now. My fiance 27 male told me he wants a baby. I said I did too. Just not now. And that I'd get my insert out after the three years or up and I won't replace it. This wasn't soon enough for him. He wanted to be pregnant now. I stood firm and said I'm not ready to have another baby. I want to be a little more stable, money wise and in general. fiance was mad and we got into a big argument. I brought up my son and told him my son sees him as a father figure. That we already have a child to take care of while my birth control runs its course. All of a sudden he started shouting at me saying he wanted a baby that's biologically his. And that every time he looks at my son he gets angry. I asked him why and he told me it's because he sees my ex in my son. My son looks a lot like his father. He then went on to tell me he doesn't feel like a paternal figure to my son. He has no personal attachment to him. He says it's because my son isn't biologically his and he resents us for this. Hence the baby talk. He wanted my arm implants out immediately. I said no way. I'm not ready for another baby yet. We continue to argue about this until I'm finally tired and frustrated. So I say I'm done arguing and just head into our bedroom. An important fact to know is that I take medication to sleep. A pretty strong medication with a high dosage. It knocks me flat on my ass. The sandman comes and slaps me across the face so I'm down for the count. After the argument I take my pills and I go to bed. My fiance was still in the living room when I fell into a deep sleep. Now another important fact, my fiance knows where my implant is. He has felt it under my skin and it's very noticeable when you're feeling around for it. I'm sleeping when I stir slightly awake after I felt fingers on my upper arm. Prawning. With my eyes still shut I tell my fiance to stop poking me. I assumed he was just being petty and childish because of the fight. He doesn't stop and not five seconds after poking me he presses down in the exact spot my injection is. At this point I'm starting to get more alert and annoyed. I just wanted to sleep and I can't do that when I'm being jabbed. I open my eyes to see what the hell he's doing and ask why his finger is pressing directly on my injection. The minute I open my eyes I notice an object in his free hand. A box cutter which will oh my holy shit that's crazy. I notice an object in his free hand a box cutter which was very close to my upper arm. Now I'm on full alert and I ask him what he's doing. He immediately looks guilty and tries to throw excuses at me. I was just trying to scare you. I was checking to make sure you were alive and it's a coincidence I'm holding the box cutter. I called BS on every excuse and said I wanted the truth. He looked down and told me he was doing me a favor. What favor? Glad you asked. He was going to remove the injection from my arm. He said he studied how to do it and he's confident he can safely remove it. He said we can start expanding our family now. No need to wait eight months. I am livid. I immediately shout at him to get away from me and don't touch me. He tries to talk to me but I keep yelling he needs to leave. He can't stay at our house right now because he admitted he was trying to get into my arm. Thus breaking my trust. Finally he walked out of the bathroom and a minute later I heard the front door open and then close. It's been three hours and he still hasn't come back and I don't know what to do when he does. I don't know where we go from here. I love this man dearly but I don't think I can forgive and forget this. Now I don't know what to do. Advice? Please? Edit. I called my mother and she said I can stay with her. So I'm taking my son and leaving. I can't respond to every comment but just for a few quick questions he has never acted like this before. He's always been so gentle and kind to me and my son. The argument and then the box cutter is completely new. During the fight I hoped he was just in the heat of the moment and saying stuff he doesn't mean because he's angry. I was hoping naively that he'd be back to sweet slash kind the next morning and apologize for the hurtful comments and trying to overstep my boundaries. I honestly didn't think he'd come at me with a box cutter. A lot of people are saying I should already know what to do. So I guess my I don't know what to do should really be phrased as has anyone had anything remotely similar to this happened to them. I guess I might have also wanted reassurance that leaving is the best thing to do instead of waiting for him to come home and trying to talk it out. I love this guy deeply and it's just hard for me to put both pieces of the puzzle together. The sweet guy I knew in the awful guy I saw tonight. And now let's get into some of the top comments. One person says Jesus Christ, Opie, pack, leave, but for the love of God, just go. I've read some red flags on Reddit in my time, but this holy shit. And this commenter said the words right out of my mouth or took the words right out of my mouth. This is genuinely one of the craziest and most disturbing Reddit threads I have ever read. Period. This is insane. This is crazy. This guy was like when I first read the title, I thought he'd be like trying to like pull it out with his fingers. Like, you know, like him just trying to remove it with a box cutter is the stuff of nightmares. Like, oh my God, that is just insane. Another commenter replies to that comment and says adding to this, do not go back. No matter how much he apologizes, bags makes excuses or tries to turn the blame on you, do not go back. If you need to collect your stuff, leave your child some more safe and call the police to accompany you. Also, make a police report. Even if they can't take action, this starts a paper trail, which will be inviable. If they don't go back. this behavior escalates. Stay safe OP. Another user says you get the f out of this abusive guy's grasp right now. No excuses, be a mother, not a girlfriend with a kid. Good luck. Someone else says even if you give in and he gets his biological child, how will he treat your son? Did he ever tell you that he gets angry just looking at him before? What he did was not just a little stupid thing, but a major red flag. He has issues and I doubt a kid of his own would be a cure. If I was you, I wouldn't let him near my kid or myself again. At least not without another person present who could intervene, if necessary. And someone says FFS or for Frick's sake, run as far and fast as you can. He admitted he's resenting you and your son and he tried to assault you, not even mentioning the fact he tried to take your bodily autonomy away from you by getting you pregnant when you weren't ready for it because he wants a kid now. Please pack it back for yourself and your son and go to a friend's place or your parents if this is an option, I don't think you're safe anymore. And someone else says, listen, I don't mean to be a jerk, but why would you even need strangers advice on this? The only advice you should be asking for is how to escape an abusive relationship as safely as possible. Cutting out birth control of a woman's arm is one of the most insane things I've ever read. Plus the way he talks about your kid is gross in the last, but not least, he tried to get out your injection with a box cutter. And someone replies and says, because abuse makes you question your consent to write a wrong. I've been there. You feel crazy for wanting to leave by the abusers design and wanting to stay because self preservation. If both options feel wrong, how do you know what is right? O P is likely asking because feeling like leaving is best, but just needs other people to echo that this is right to provide ammo against that feeling that leaving is wrong somehow. Add to that how the jump from emotional manipulation to full-on physical assault is just, it is this huge mind F. It's easy to rush aside words, but when something leaves a physical market becomes very real very quickly. Of course, O P is rattled and looking for reassurance. O P, I haven't been in your shoes exactly, but I am a survivor of domestic violence. It is okay to leave. You can still very much love someone and know it is not safe to be with them. Things may get harder for a little bit after this, but you will start to realize how many little things you have given up for this guy that you really missed. And someone else says police now. Another user says, this is absolutely effing insane. He said horrible things about your son and admitted feeling hostile toward him. He betrayed your trust by trying to make a major decision against your will on your behalf and then he tried to get out a injection with a box cutter after he knew you'd be heavily sedated from pills and then suggested this was premeditated. Call the cops. Call a locksmith immediately. This needs to be addressed before he comes home. I don't know if he's always been that insane or if something is happening to him where he needs professional help, but you need to stay far away from him for now. That is not a healthier, safe mind and he will never treat your son well. And if you have a child together, things will not only get worse, but you'll be locked into a parental relationship with him until the child turns 18 if not for the rest of your lives. And he's clearly crazy and in no state to be around children. And this commenter brings up a good point like he has to be actually mentally unwell. I mean, like there's no way this guy is completely mentally sound and considering cutting out this lady's implant with a box cutter. Like that is like this stuff, like a deranged person who's like, I don't know on drugs or like has serious mental health issues things. Like this, he needs to be locked up or you know, somewhere where he can get the, you know, healthy needs, but that is not sound thinking. Of course, like this just has me so baffled, it's just so insane and so scary. But the OP comes back about 12 hours later or a day later with another update. And let's get into it. This reads, essentially, my now ex fiance, did a complete 180 personality wise. But so sweet and loving to both me and my son, until we fought about having another baby last night. He said horrible things and I was tired of fighting. So I took my pills and went to bed, woke up to him, touching my arm and plans birth control with a box cutter in his hand. Said he was doing me a favor, but I screamed at him to leave. I ended up leaving last night with my son to stay my mom so I was confused, shocked, hurt, scared. I still am. At 7 this morning, my phone started buzzing like crazy. Texts, calls, voicemails, all were from him, asking me where I went and when I was coming home. I didn't respond. I just don't even want to look at him or talk to him again. He called my mom while we were both sitting in the kitchen discussing everything. She asked me if I wanted her to answer it. I said I just don't want to talk to him. My mom ended up answering and my ex was yelling, sounding panicky. He said I left with my son last night out of the blue and he's worried, no mention of our fight or what he did. He asked when my mom last heard from me and she lied and said last night, he made a noise over the phone like an angry sigh and said he was going to keep searching for me. That he's worried something bad has happened or will happen to me and my son. When my mom hung up, she pulled me into a hug. I guess I had started crying and didn't realize it. She was still hugging me when she realized how I wanted to proceed. If I was done with him for good. I said I was and she nodded and told me first thing was to go to the police like a lot of you said. I didn't have any proof about the box cutter situation. It would come down to my word versus his. If he had even nicked me a little, I'd have a case against him but since he technically didn't hurt me, the detective said he's seen cases similar to mine throw out. The officer did bring up ex-parts and suggested I get one for both me and my son immediately. I went to the courthouse to get the paperwork filed out. I had to detail as much as I could remember from last night every word and action. My mom helped me and we got them turned in and moved on to the next step, calling my landlord. I've been living in that same house for two years. The first year was a lease and now I pay month to month. Everything is in my name and most of the furniture is mine. I told my landlord what was briefly going on and that I was putting in my 30 day notice. My mom has a guest room that she's insisting I say in. After getting off the phone with him, I called the utilities and closed my accounts, water, electric, gas, internet. Next, my mother asked me what I wanted to do about my belongings. I told her I didn't want to leave anything that's mine. All important papers, knick-knacks, clothes, furniture, all of it. I just didn't know where to put it all. So my mom suggested a storage unit. Once that was decided, we had to figure out when to start the move. Mom ended up calling my two brothers and they both agreed to help me move. Just give them a date in a time. I told them definitely sometime this week and my eldest brother suggested a police presence just in case. I don't know, but I agreed. By this point, it's getting late in the day and I'm as drained as I can get. I just wanted to curl up with my son and try to sort my thoughts out and calm down. The county clerk ended up calling me, telling me the judge granted my ex-parts. She told me that I needed to come pick up the paperwork, which had the court date on it. She also mentioned ex-fiance would soon be served and told me I don't have to see him again until we go to court. To make the ex-parts into permanent restraining orders, she suggested loiring up, but I'm officially burnt out on today. I'll look into lawyers tomorrow, but tonight, after this update, it's a cuddle in bed with my son kind of night. A couple things that I've seen repeated. Why didn't I leave right when my ex started saying those awful things about my son? I honestly thought he didn't mean them. He's told my son he loves him before. Part of it was also shock, I guess. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and that I was hearing it from someone who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I didn't think he truly had hated in his heart and it never crossed my mind that he would hurt me or my son. He's never even spanked my son. I just thought he needed a cooler. enough period, so I removed myself from the situation to take my meds and sleep, naively thinking things would be better in the morning. People also questioned why I would even bother sticking around to try to talk things out, and that's a valid question that I don't have a rational answer to. Part of me thought I was dreaming, I think, and the other part is the side of me that thinks everything equates to being my fault, like I was too mean during the fight, too stubborn to see things his way and try to understand his feelings. I don't know, it's late. Everything feels surreal and I have this pit in my stomach that feels like dread. What if my ex shows up at my mom's house? I still haven't returned his calls or phone calls, and now he legally can't contact me anyways. I've had two of my best friends call saying ex called them, my younger brother, who I guess has always hated ex, but I didn't know that until today, said even he got a call. So far, everyone is saying they don't know anything, but I'm scared. I don't know. I'm sorry. Just thought I would update. And then shortly after, the OP adds a second update to this update post, basically an edit, saying update to the update. So many people offered great advice that I would never think of myself. I've been kind of heavily relying on my mom to guide me through this and keep me in my son of flow. I've also been given several things to read, which I am absolutely going to do when I have some downtime. I appreciate every comment from extremely helpful to well wishes and even the ones questioning the validity of this. To be honest, and it's a terrible cliche, but if it wasn't happening to me, I probably wouldn't jump to believing either. Sometimes I let my emotions get the best of me and I end up sounding either very clinical in my typing or very unnecessarily dramatic. So I get the mistrust. My update last night was written late. I was exhausted, but I wanted to let the people from my original post know. I took their advice and got out of there. My emotions have been so conflicting and chaotic. I'm surprised I was able to sound coherent, let alone like a teenager riding fanfic, which some of you called me. I wish this was a fanfic. I could feel safe again. My mom has been an absolute angel and I've shown her some of your comments complimenting her and she definitely deserves it. Never once did she make me feel I couldn't be completely honest with her. She's reopened her house to me even though I moved out years ago. She's really kept the ball rolling on everything with her organization skills. She made a list and yesterday we followed that list of the letter. When I wanted to put stuff off, she'd gently remind me of what could happen if I paused. X could find me, hurt me, hurt my son or anyone helping to protect me. You are all very right and I'm ashamed to say I didn't realize just how much support I have and what a tremendous family I have. A couple of people mentioned to be very careful if X finds out where I am and my mom and brothers already had a plan for me. They called it round robinine. If X found me at moms, I'd flee to eldest brother. If he finds me at eldest brother, I'd temporarily stay with my younger brother. Really, I appreciate you all commenting that I'm doing things right and quick and how impressive it is but that's not my doing at all. That's all on my family. They are the extraordinary ones. There goes my fanfic cliches again going above and beyond for me and my son. Some of the comments that questioned my validity remarked that it was odd that I immediately went to write it to see what to do slash how to feel. You're all right. That it is unusual but not for me. I grew up when live journal was a big thing. Riding helps me organize my thoughts and I figured this community would help me understand and I was right. Another thing I want to address is X's sudden change. I'm now wondering what to do for that. I don't want him in my life still but some of you mentioned a brain tumor or a psychotic break so I'm worried. I sent X's mother and father messages this morning saying I broke off the engagement and left but both messages are still unread. I don't know what to say to them in regards to X's health. Will they be mad for daring to say this might be a breakdown? Will they actually take him to get test ran? And if they even tried would he willingly go? I don't know. I guess I need a little more advice about how to approach that. There's more to address than I even had a consultation with a lawyer today but I can go into that at a later time. I'm still processing everything. It still doesn't feel real. It feels like a badly written teenage fanfic to be honest. I don't know. Sorry for rambling again. I just wanted to let you guys know I'm taking notes from your helpful suggestions that I'm not ignoring you guys. My mother took my son for ice cream and let me stay behind. Which is why I decided to hop on reddit and check on everything. One last thing though, the awards. I'm truly humbled and grateful for them. Some of them I had to click on to see what it meant and they're also sweet. I am endlessly thankful for the awards, your comments and your messages. Thank you all. And then the OP comes back with a final update added on the update post and let's get into it. This reads, "When my ex was served as papers, he did not take it well. I had already blocked them on everything but he took a picture of his paper and posted it on Facebook with a message to me and my son. A mutual friend saw it and that it contained my personal information and screenshot it to let me know. After taking advice, I called the police to see if it was a break in the ex part. They made an incident report and told me I could pick it up the next day at the police station. They didn't arrest him. My mother had already procured me a great lawyer. A shark, which is what we need in her own words. I told my lawyer about the screenshot and immediately put it in. Both his appearance on my behalf and a motion for contempt of court. For breaking the ex part and threatening me and my son. Our original official court date isn't until next week, but the judge got us in early to deal with the screenshot. X showed up without a lawyer and I showed up with only my lawyer. Due to the pandemic, no extra people allowed in the courtroom. I really wanted my mom there with me but my lawyer, instead of sitting on the bench at the sides reserved for lawyers, sat by me, kept himself between me and my ex at all times. A bail was there as well. I guess it's standard procedure to have one in court. My lawyer advised me to let him do all the talking. Only answer questions when directed at me and answered them as succinctly as possible. Judge ended up giving ex a warning. Saying if he even mentions me or my son, he'd put him in jail 24 hours for every incident until the official court date. X was also ordered to pay my legal fees for the emergency session. Friday, we got mine and my son's possessions out of the house with massive help from friends and family. I knew X had to work Friday and we arrived with a police officer just in case, and hour after X should have been at work. We left anything that he could claim as his or that we'd brought together and I didn't care about. Most of the items went into two different storage units, from the same place. The reason we chose these storage units is they're gated and locked at night. The items me or my son would need for everyday use went to my moms. X's parents have opened my messages now, but they still haven't responded. Lawyer said we're still on for official court date next week, and nobody has entered their appearance yet on behalf of X. So we're unsure if he has a lawyer or not. Lawyer told me it followed basically the same as the first hearing. It'd be a general hearing. With other people having filed their own X parts for other people, no extras allowed in the room, face masks required. He'd keep X away from me, no talking unless answering questions, give succinct answers unless asked to clarify. He's confident that the X parts will become permanent restraining orders, but he warned me it's not like it is in the movies. The restraining orders will go for one year, unless a box is marked saying to reissue it every year. I marked the box. He also said for every year, X has the ability to appeal it, and we'd have to go to court all over again. For now, I'm just trying to keep my head above water. I'm kind of afraid because I've had people message me to tell me they've seen my post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Some of you sleuths have even found the state I live in. I'm just hoping X doesn't find any of the posts and put two and two together. you haven't responded to every comment or message in that this update is late. I've just been trying to keep my son's life as normal as possible. It breaks my heart when he asks when he or we're going home or where Papa is. He just knows we're having a long sleepover with his Mimi. He's loving having pets around though. We weren't allowed to have animals at my house, so the fact that my mom has a dog and a couple of cats, he's excited. I've warned his daycare about X. Most of my family and friends are aware there's a serious situation, but not details. I don't know. It's been a long week. I'm exhausted. I keep looking over my shoulder and I've made my mom by extra locked for the doors. Some have mentioned cameras from the outside and my mom has already started pricing some. She said her sister, my aunt, has been trying to get her to ring for months, so this is the kick in the pants she needed. I'm sorry this update is late, still feels surreal, but I have to just keep swimming. My son is obsessed with finding Nemo. One user says, be aware. Contact through third parties with the intent of them contacting you violates the X parts in most places and it 100% violates the injunction everywhere. Third party contact once he's been served needs to be documented and submitted to the court and handed to the police. I used to work as a victim advocate and I saw this a lot in DV situations where the abuser went to jail for violating the injunction through third party contact once they had been served. Another user says, if he's ever been to your mom's house, tell her to change all of your locks. They'd also tell the police he might find out you're there. He will try to come around and come in to look for you. Tell her not to let him. If she sees him on the street call the police immediately, document every single interaction you have with him. Be careful, which friends you trust right now. As if there are mutual friends, one of them will tell him where you are and he'll try to harm you and/or your child. When you leave the house to go anywhere, share your location with your mom or one of your brothers. So if he finds you when you're out and try something, a family member knows where you are at all times. Come up with a say for it to text your family so they can call the police straight away and tell them your live location if necessary. Do not go to any places where you know he might be. Do not engage with his friends or his family. Do not put your location on social media or post any photos that one would be able to tell where you are. Better yet, do not post on social media. If he really wants to find you, he'll use your post to try and decipher your location. If you have any bank accounts, he has access to take all of your money out. And if you left any of your cards in the house where he's staying, call your bank and report your cards as lost so they block it and he doesn't steal your money. This may seem excessive, but trust me, when a person reveals themselves to be abusive like this, you have to take every precaution that you can to try to keep safe, especially when there is a child involved. Please, please, please, please be safe at it. Thank you for the award, Constra Ancher. Also, if I left anything out, please respond to this. I just want OP to be safe and not be where I was. A few years back. And another user says, OP, you are so incredibly brave and it helps that you have a mother 100% behind you on this. I'm so proud of you myself because I've been in similar dangerous situations in a relationship where I was thinking this can't be real and felt the same of removing myself from the situation to defuse it thinking he'd have the moment stuff. They doesn't make it any less hurtful. For people saying why didn't you do this? Slash that. You either have never actually been in a similar or hypothetical situation remotely close. What you think you would do versus what actually happens are two very different things. OP has done a hell of a lot more in one day than what most people would do in very similar circumstances would in one week or three months. Seriously, OP, you don't owe anyone here in apology or an explanation. It's good to reflect and think on some of the questions posed, but don't be yourself up. Not many would even have the kind of support system you have to be able to do what you've accomplished in one day. It's true that the criminal charges you are seeking likely will be pledged down or eventually tossed after it's all said and done. But you've started a precedent by your brave actions to lay the complaint. Without these actions, should your ex ever do anything of a similar nature to anyone else? The very start of your actions will show a pattern of behavior. I sincerely hope for any future partners your acts as and for him as well. He learns a valuable lesson and never tries to coerce any such decisions on a partner or ever steps to the level of physical violence to anyone again. His alarming behavior could just be the very beginning of a dark side. He never realized he had in him. Seriously, I'm sitting in my recliner with my tea, impressed as all hell and blown away by your bravery and impressive speed on getting the ball rolling. Above all, you deserve better as does your son. Eventually, when the time is right, someone will come along that fits exactly what you need/what you need in a partner and a step farther for your son. They exist out there. You will shine brighter and stronger because of this particular experience because you know what you deserve and desire. For now, focus on you and your son. All my best to you, OP. Seriously, you've blown me away with how you're handling this. You and your son are going to be in my thoughts for a little while. Trigger warning, child endangerment, negligence, physical injury. The original post was March 11, 2024. Hey Reddit, I need to share the story because I'm still shaking from what happened. I'm 25 years old, female, been with my husband 30-year-old male since 2018. We have a three-year-old girl and a newborn boy, but tonight, things almost took a turn for the worse. My husband has always had trouble paying attention, but I never thought that it would come to this. Our neighborhood is weirdly laid out, with cars zooming by at crazy speeds at all hours of the day. I was folding clothes when I heard our toddler screaming, "Dad, help!" That tone made me drop everything in sprint outside. What I saw made my blood run cold. Our newborn, in his stroller, careening towards the busy street. I screamed and ran to him, barely stopping the stroller in time. My baby girl's hands and knees were scratched up because she tripped trying to run after the stroller. I snatched up my baby, heart pounding and scanned for my husband. He wasn't watching. He was chatting with neighbors completely oblivious. And the anger I felt was unlike anything I've ever experienced. I stormed up to him, shouting and disbelief. It looked shocked at first and realized what almost happened. The apologies and tears came pouring out, but it was too late. I couldn't wrap my head around how he could just be so careless, so blind to our toddler's screams in the stroller rolling away. I packed up the kids and left, staying with my parents. They're on my side, but my husband keeps texting, begging forgiveness, calling it an honest mistake. But I can't shake the terror of almost losing my baby because he couldn't focus for a single second. My baby girl got hurt in the process. because he couldn't pay attention. I almost lost my son because he couldn't pay attention, and I can't stop crying. I feel so guilty, and I wish this all never happened. Sorry it's short, but I just want to hold my babies, and I can't stop shaking every time I think about it. What if I was just one second late, would I have been planning a funeral? And the reason I left the house instead of him was because I hate that house, and I don't feel like it was safe for the kids with all the traffic, and I was right. It's my husband's workhouse. I can't be running either. I had a C-section less than six weeks ago. A lot of people are saying why wasn't I watching the kids I was doing their laundry like a parent. Does he take them for walks to have bonding time with them? He literally created this by himself. This has never happened before. How was I supposed to know, and people saying why didn't I get him checked out? I'm not his mother. He is 30 years old. I'm sick of people acting like I have to parent my own husband while I literally have a newborn toddler, and I'm still healing from a C-section that I tear my stitches from when I ran to get my baby. I don't care if it was his ADHD, the court wouldn't care either. If he killed my son, my child, he would have went to prison either way. Specific EM2166. Okay, he was 100% wrong and I'd be livid just like you. However, I'm a little confused with the situation. Like, why was your baby just in a stroller unattended? Why did the stroller randomly go into the road? Since it sounds like he were at home, is this maybe something y'all normally do to have a place for a baby to sit out front of your house when your toddler is playing outside, and maybe it was a freak accident? I'm going to be honest, as a mom, most of us have stories of near-death experiences with our kids. We can be naive and stupid and expect a little child to have more awareness or survival skills than they do. When my son was two, we had a horrible experience with an escalator, and I still have times where I can't sleep because of it. We're all idiots when it comes to parenting, because how can you know until you live it? And seriously, like every parent has one of those moments, unless you're one of those insanely lucky ones. Now, I still really don't understand the whole scenario of what happened, but to me, it seems like he really has remorse and feels terrible, and once you go through something like that, you never forget it. So if he cares and loves your kids, he's devastated and is learned a hard lesson. I don't know that your response was the best, but get why you did it in the moment. But I think you guys have serious talks and maybe get into moving if possible. I wouldn't go straight to divorce like Reddit loves to preach. I think there is a solution here, and so sorry you're dealing with it, it's literally the worst feeling in the world. O.O.P. I love. Let me just clear it up for you, so I was sitting inside the lounge room and there's a huge window behind the TV that was a little open, so I could hear outside, and that's when I heard my toddler scream for her dad to help when I was outside and he was standing on the neighbor's driveway. I assume that he must have left my baby literally on the road because there was no possible way that they would have rolled off like that, and my toddler was playing with the neighbor's cat before she noticed her brother was rolling away when I confronted him about it. He tried to explain, but he just kept stuttering and I still don't know exactly what had happened. I don't know if he didn't put the brakes in the stroller. If the wind blew him away, I just don't know. My neighbor contacted me and had asked if I wanted a security footage because his wife is 100% on my side, so I'll probably find out once it gets sent to me. O.O.P. updated 11 hours later. Update. The neighbor's wife sent me the footage and I really can't wrap my head around it, and so my husband was walking with a stroller and my toddler was in front of them when they passed the neighbor's house. The neighbor was outside washing his car and my toddler saw his pad cat and stopped the padded, so my husband stopped. Left my baby on the road and he didn't even bother locking the wheels and walked all the way up the driveway not even bothering to look back at the baby that he had his back to face him for about five minutes before the stroller just suddenly started moving. I think it's because the road is on a hill kind of and it could have been the wind. My toddler never went near the stroller. It couldn't have been her and the stroller went down the road and my toddler as well and that's when she started screaming and running for it when she saw. It's the neighbor who started running after my daughter when she tripped. He tried to pick her up and that's when the neighbor's wife's car came into frame and she stops and starts running back to the way the stroller is coming and after that you can't really see anything because it's all a frame. But you can hear all the commotion my husband just stood there the whole time hand on his head with a blank stare on his face and he didn't even do anything when our toddler was crying from hurting herself and he only started crying when I confronted him. Now what do I do? I genuinely do not know what to do. I'm panicking and this was never the life I wanted from my kids. I don't understand why he was just standing there. I've not even gotten a text or a call from him since I got sent that video and it's just been silent and I just can't get the sound of my daughter's screams out of my head. That's the sound that no mother wants to hear. I can explain in the moment but it felt like my blood went cold and I just felt pure fear that I never want to watch the footage again. And before we move on to the next Reddit thread I just want to let you guys know about my patreon where I upload every single week bonus videos where I read some of the most just explicit, crazy and disturbing confessions I've ever received from fans and that I find on the internet that I cannot read here on YouTube and also some of the most disturbing Reddit threads and Reddit stories that I also can't read here on YouTube and also you get exclusive live streams every single Thursday where I read exclusive stories to you guys live and also just we can chat hang out it's a fun Q&A you also get early access to every single video I release and also you get ad free content and also discord access yes it's a great community over there and I'd love to have you and so this is all for five dollars a month I think you get your money's worth so if you're a fan please consider it and the link is in the first link in the description and also the pinned comment I can't wait to see you over there anyways onto the next one my boyfriends co-workers joked about killing me in their group chat my boyfriend and I got into a fight about his job yet again I noticed he was texting a lot after the fight so once he went to sleep I went through his phone I saw the first few texts of them calling me names insane I'm self sabotaging things but then it turned dark one co-worker said he should roofy me so I just sleep and leave him alone the next one said she knows how to place a catheter a feeding tube and IV so they could knock me out and not kill me but then her next text made my heart stop she said they could just claw for me pull out my teeth out and feed me to pigs some nothing was left the next co-worker said her grandparents do have a pig farm my boyfriend said LMAO no that's great and of course they all immediately said they were all joking I packed quickly and quietly grabbed my daughter and left now my entire life as I know it is over I feel like I'm overreacting I know the police can't actually do anything so I can't even report it because they never said my name or anything like that I'm just scared and sad this is awful I'll be attaching the pictures to my profile if anyone wants to see the actual messages edit I have actually talked with him after I'm blocking him didn't tell him anything but he claims it was a joke no one actually threatened me they were all just venting and I'm overreacting like always and he isn't going to argue with the voices in my head still not going back but I'm letting him incriminate himself more he also claims I was never supposed to see the messages anyway that's his safe place and I ruined that for him and now let's get into some of the top comments one user says if you didn't send those messages to yourself please take the time to jot down everything you remember about the messages before more time elapses in case you ever need them I hope you don't if he is your daughter's father this is especially important as the two of you will be tied to each other via her for a long time to come and the OP responds and says I did I got all the screenshots sent to me and have them sent to other people so they are safe another user says first good decision joking about killing your spouse is beyond messed up second if his co-workers are so invested in getting rid of you and your ex is entertaining this discussion my guess in true reddit long jump Olympics that she is more than a co-worker and the OP response and says she actually is they hadn't a fair about six months ago he told me she no longer work there but I recognize the number in the group chat Another user says, "If the one worker or co-worker can do IVs, calves, and feeding tubes, she's probably in the medical field that needs to be reported to whatever board she works under. And if they all work together in a medical faculty, they all need to be reported." And the OP responds and says, "Luckily, she isn't part of any medical job now, but I'm still looking at reporting this somewhere." Another user says, "Go to their workplace and show them the kind of messages their employees send. If the people work in a hospital or a clinic, they are dangerous to other people. They won't like." And the OP responds and says, "They work at a restaurant, so I doubt they will care. One co-worker just used to work in the medical field." Another user says, "What is he saying about you leaving?" And the OP responds and says, "That no one actually threatened me. I'm overreacting. I guess I left the messages open when I left, so he knows I saw them." But he's saying he doesn't have time to argue with the voices in my head. So until I'm ready to understand the truth, he's done talking to me, but it never lasts. He will probably start blowing up my phone again soon. And someone asked the OP on if she is safe and deactivated social media accounts. And the OP said, "They can't find my account. They don't use Reddit and think I'm dumb. They do know where I live." Before everything happened, we were actually friends and they've been here before. I left my house late last night and I'm somewhere that not a single person would think to look for me at. So I'm good now. I have a support system. I'm in therapy already, so I'll have someone to work things through with my next appointment. And then the OP comes back five days later with an update and let's get into it. This reads, "This is an update to my previous post. You can check my profile for it. I'm awful with links and things. First, I never expected my post to take off and I'm really appreciative of all the advice and support. It really helped." So here's my update. My daughter and I are safe. We left that night and got to our safe spot and haven't looked back. I didn't realize just how bad the mental and emotional abuse was until it was pointed out in a lot of the comments. I really appreciate that. I did report it to the police. I was able to gather enough proof that they were talking about me and they decided to charge them with assault by threat, which won't keep them in jail for long, but long enough to maybe scare them into leaving me alone. The three of them did lose their jobs. While it was a local owned business, I didn't realize it was a franchise. I reported all the messages to corporate as well as some more I had found about shady things, so I don't have to worry about them messing with anyone's food after the awful things that they planned for me. I'm working on filing for custody for my daughter. I did meet with an attorney for a consultation and got some sound advice on what to do until I can actually file and get the ball rolling. My ex has been blowing up my phone, rotating between begging me to come back and then attacking me out ruining his life over a joke and calling me every name under the sun. I did find out that the coworker in the chat wasn't the only girl he was sleeping with. My friend went and packed up the rest of my stuff and grabbed one of his old phones by mistake. His Apple ID and most things were still logged in while I powered it on. Multiple dating apps and profiles, thousands of messages between him and different women. He slept with a lot of them. No protection or birth control either, since apparently one of the girls was pregnant but lost the baby about a month ago. Lots of lies from him about being at work when he wasn't, and lots of lies about times he worked and things like that. It went back to at least November of last year. So who knows how long that's really been going on for. So yes, my life has all flipped upside down and I'm obviously heartbroken and angry, but my daughter and I will be okay and I'm okay with that. We are ever going back and I'm just ready to move on. Get settled down again and also get every STD test available. Thank you for everyone who offered support and messaged me. I really do appreciate all of it. I might post an update once everything is truly settled, but for now, this is it. One user says I ditched the phone to be honest. He might find you via tracking it, slash find my iPhone and the OP says I did. Once I got what I needed out of it, I got rid of it. I already have a different phone on a new plan since we shared a plan and I didn't want him having access to anything with me. And then the OP actually post the transcripts of the text and let's get into it. This reads, okay, or hear me out. We chloroform her ass, pump her full of a few drugs, then we can feed her to the pigs. They eat everything, but teeth. So we'll have to pull them out first and scatter them out. Someone replies and says maybe a little too much and someone says sorry. Someone else says no, this is great LMAO, I love it. Someone else says my grandma has wild hogs in her 18 acres. And someone says OMG the government, school emoji, school emoji, I guess happy emoji. Someone says roofie her, put a bar in her drink and people reply to this text exchange like the commenters and someone says anyone else notice all the co-workers are women. He probably sleeps with them all. And the OP responds and says he did sleep with one of them. She's the one talking about feeding me to pigs. Another user says glad you out of there, but I would inform the police and get a restraining order on them all. Let people know if something happens to you, they know where to look. If he works with the AP, modify their boss of him and the girl fraternizing. And the OP responds and says they know it's a small private owned business when it all came out, her boyfriend made her change her schedule and let everyone at work know. They're all friends, they don't care. And we have never received another update from the OP, but God, I hope that the OP and her daughter are safe now. This boyfriend of hers is a psychopath and same with all of his friends and they deserve to be in jail, my 24 year old male, parents, 49 year old male, 49 year old female, disowned me five years ago for false accusations. Now they want to talk. March 15th, 2023. I am bisexual, and when that happened, I was still in the closet and didn't tell anyone about my ex or our relationship. My ex and my family were my whole world. I thought I had a good relationship with my parents. I had inside jokes with my dad, shared hobbies with my mom. I also had a good relationship with my sister, who was 10 at the time. I didn't drink, smoke, or be late most nights. I wasn't perfect, but I wasn't that troubled teenager of a boy that didn't even deserve to be can heard. And in the summer, my ex and I planned a sleepover at his parents' house. I know it was a stupid decision to sleep at his parents' house when no one knew about our relationship, but I was 19, stupid, and hormonal. His parents heard us, and his father entered the room and beat my ex-boyfriend when he tried to hit me. His wife grabbed him and I quickly grabbed my clothes and ran away and went to my home. In the evening of the next day, my father entered my room and grabbed my hair while my mother was crying and telling me if I had my little sister as well. I didn't understand what they were saying, and I told her, "Of course I didn't, but my father said that I was just a mistake, and dragged me out of the house and told me that if I didn't run away from him now, like I ran away from my victim house yesterday, he will turn himself into the police because he will be murdering me." I tried to call my ex-boyfriend to make sure that he was okay, but he didn't answer. When I called my grandmother, she told me that I should be ashamed of myself, and I should surrender myself to the police, and that she would support me if I did this. I tried to ask her what was happening, but she said that she couldn't bear to hear my voice and hung up the phone. I went to the house of my close friend Angle, and she wasn't at home, but her father was. I called him Uncle, and I did not plan to talk to him, but I could not stand it and cried in front of him, and he listened to me, and assured me that I had a place in his house and to not worry. The next day, my uncle sat me down and told me that he spoke to my father, and he told him that I had to my ex-boyfriend, and forced him to do things that he didn't want to do. I did not bend for his parents discovering us. I would continue the… I was shocked, and showed him the messages that were between us. I don't remember what happened, but I was crying hysterically, and Angle was holding me in my uncle calling the ambulance. There I got out of the house, but all we spoke with a lawyer and reached an agreement with my ex-boyfriend that he would confess to my family that it was a lie. Otherwise I will file a defamation case. All the evidence was against my ex-boyfriend and he accepted, but there wasn't enough for my parents because they sent me a legal, disowned letter. Now I'll spare you from the details, but know that I'm fine now. And two days ago my parents sent me a long message asking to talk, and they said my sister died and they wanted me at the funeral on Friday, and to talk, I told them the f*ck off and to give the funeral location. They told me either I talked to them or they won't give me the time and location. I wanted to see my little sister, but I don't want to see my parents, the thought of them only makes me sick. What did I do wrong to deserve this, be gay? My uncle has actually my friend father that I call him uncle out of respect for him, and he isn't related to my family and doesn't know anyone except my parents. I couldn't find my sister's death record online as some suggested and I spoke to my aunt, and she assured me that my sister had died. I asked about the location of the funeral and she refused to tell me. I see a lot of comments saying that they are lying about my sister's death, and I don't think they are. I have nothing, and I'm not successful. I don't own my own company or my own home, and I don't even have kids. Update March 26, 2023. So I would be referring to my relatives by you and A, you for my uncle and A for my aunt, and I'd be calling my friend's father uncle. And before the update, I want to answer some questions. Why did they accuse you of raping your sister and who accused you? I don't know. Why don't you search for your sister's name online instead of talking to your family? I tried, but I couldn't find her name. My friend told me that sometimes these things take up the two weeks to go public. Why not ask funeral homes? I tried, but the law in my country is different. Why don't you lie and tell your parents you'll talk after the funeral? My parents were very clear in the messages that they wanted to talk before Friday. Why not ask your family members? I did. I asked you and A, you told me that he doesn't want to be in a family fight. And A confirmed my sister's death, but she didn't want to give me the location. I didn't want to continue asking because my family is small, and I didn't want to risk my parents knowing about my search for the funeral location. Now about my ex, when my ex-boyfriend confessed, he said that his parents wanted to kick him out and stop paying his college fees, so he told them that I had-tem. And he wanted to report me to the police to shut his father up, but his father told him not to do that, so he thought his parents dropped it. He didn't expect his parents to go and talk to my parents. The update. Thanks, Reddit. I took a lot of your advice. This happened two weeks ago, and after the post and talking to A and U, I decided to meet my parents. I didn't have much time until the day of the funeral and I didn't want to miss it. Many of you advised me not to go, but I hope you understand my position. She is my only sister. I know that she has changed and isn't the same person anymore, but I was going to say goodbye to that child that I remember, not the person that she is now. When Wednesday evening, I told my uncle about my decision. I didn't need to ask him if he could come with me or not. He beat me to it and said that he would go with me. I asked Angle and another dear friend of mine and they accepted. I spoke to the same lawyer who handled my allegations. I asked him to supervise my meeting with my parents. I did not expect him to accept, but surprisingly he did, and he tried to confirm my sister's death, but unfortunately, due to lack of time, he couldn't. On Thursday morning, I spoke to my parents and told them that I would meet them this evening, but on my own terms, one, I will have a lawyer and we will meet at a law firm. Two, half an hour after our meeting, my parents will give me the funeral location, or I will leave. My parents tried to argue, but I put my foot down and they agreed to my terms. When I got to the law firm and saw my parents for the first time in years, they smiled at me and waved like nothing had happened. After they sat down, the lawyer started recording the meeting and introduced himself before mentioning my first and new last name. My father disowned me and I legally lost my last name. I heard my new last name a lot in the past five years, but in that moment it felt real. I don't know how to describe it, but the realization that it was actually disowned hit me. I feel that my parents felt the same way because the joy in their faces disappeared after hearing my name. After the lawyer finished explaining everything, the meeting started and my parents spoke to me as if the past five years had not happened. I was disgusted when my mother tried to hold my hand, but I pulled away. My parents didn't say anything worth mentioning. And after about an hour, my lawyer asked my parents to give me the funeral location. My father said that when the family goes through difficult circumstances, they support each other. My friend and erupted him and told him my new last name. My parents seemed devastated, but my mother continued and said, "Do you know those feelings that you felt when you heard the news of your sister's death? I will feel them soon." I was confused and asked her what does this have to do with the funeral location, and my lawyer spoke and asked my parents if my sister died or not. My father tried to change the subject, but my lawyer repeated the question my father said, "No." "Well, you were right, Reddit. It was a lie. My sister didn't die. The writing was on the fucking wall, but I couldn't see it. Nothing written in the message was real. After my father told me that my sister wasn't dead, my body felt very heavy and I couldn't breathe. And that's all I remember." I was told that I looked like a ghost. My lawyer tried to talk to me, but I didn't respond, so he decided to end the meeting, but my father objected and started yelling at me. At that point, I tried to run, but I fell and started vomiting excessively before I passed out on the floor. I feel like an idiot, and I can't believe I fell for this lie. I kept telling myself that my parents wouldn't lie to me about this. I turned on a TV show or some movie, and I kept telling myself that you, who hates family drama, wouldn't get involved in something like this. I can't believe they did this to my sister, for fuck's sake, I'm their son. When my dad told me that he was going to kill me, I never thought that he would do it, but now I'm not sure. I don't know who my parents are anymore. I don't even know why they lied. After the meeting, they sent me a message asking if I was okay. That didn't apologize or give me any explanation whatsoever. I filed a restraining order against my parents and anyone who's involved, including you and me. Some of my relatives contacted me and swore to me that they had nothing to do with what was happening, and that they thought that my parents were going to talk to me about my grandmother's illness and her desire to see the family together. Some of them even sent me medical reports proving her illness and her wanting to see me, but I don't want to see her or any of my family members ever again. When my ex confessed his lies, she didn't believe my ex. She said I pressed my ex legally to lie about not being by me, and I should stop lying confess so everyone can just move on. What hurt me the most was that she wanted to fix me. She was sending me places that treat me to stories until I gave up and just blocked her. The police were called by my parents. My sister is currently living with one of my relatives, and no, I didn't talk to her. My therapist advised me not to. I currently live with my uncle, I feel safe near him, and he helped me a lot without questions or hesitation, and he even took care of my pet bird for free. I owe him, angle, and my friend a lot. Even in my teenage years before this happened, they were always by my side. I don't think I would have survived without them, and I hope my sister has the same support too. I don't know why my parents resorted to lying about my sister and I don't think I want to know. I lost what little respect I have for them. Thank you, Reddit. I don't know how this would have ended without your advice. I'm 17 Mail, and I honestly don't know what I'm supposed to do about what I saw between my brother and sister. I don't know where else to post this, and honestly, I don't even know how to write this properly. I just need some advice because I can't stop thinking about what had happened. I'm 17 Mail, I have an older sister who's 18 and an older brother who's 20. My brother is at a university, and my sister started university this year. We live in France. This happened on Saturday. I came home for my friend's house around the afternoon. I left my stuff on the couch and went outside to sit in the garden for a few minutes because the weather was nice. When I came back inside, I could hear my brother and sister talking loudly upstairs. At first I didn't care. They argue sometimes like any siblings do, so I just thought whatever. They all sorted out themselves, but maybe 15 minutes later, it got much louder. They were properly shouting at each other. I could hear it from garden, and eventually I went upstairs because it sounded like something was seriously wrong. Shouting was coming from my sister's bedroom. When I got there, my sister was crying. My brother was shirtless and standing really close to her. There were things knocked over in the room, and some stuff was broken on the floor. My sister had what looked like injuries around her nose. on her hands. I honestly froze for a second because my first thought was that my brother had hurt her. I told him to get away from her. He got angry at me and said it was none of my business. Then he pushed me pretty hard. I don't know if he was trying to hurt me or just get me out of the way. But I remember being really shocked because I had never seen him like that before. My sister came between us and told me to go outside, so I did. I stayed outside for maybe 10 minutes. Then my sister came to my room. She was still crying, not screaming or anything, just really quietly crying. She had injuries that I could see, so I asked her what happened and if my brother had hurt her. She just said they had a fight and that it was nothing I needed to worry about. I gave her the first aid box and helped her clean up the injuries. I honestly didn't know what else to do. I was kind of shaking myself. Before she left my room, she asked me not to tell mom and dad. She made me promise. A few hours later, my brother spoke to me too, basically the same thing. He told me to stay out of it. That it was between him and her and that I had no idea what was going on. And this is where I'm stuck. Because I know I didn't see what happened before I walked into the room. I don't know what the argument was about, but what I saw did it feel like a normal sibling argument. I keep her playing it in my head, especially my sister crying and the way she looked when I walked in. There was something about the whole situation that felt very wrong. And honestly, one of the thoughts I've had is that maybe something freaky or intimate happened and she was assaulted. I don't know. I want to be very clear about that because I don't want to accuse my brother of something based on me just guessing. I didn't actually witness anything intimate. It's just something that crossed my mind because of the circumstances. And now I can't get it out of my head. It's been three days now. My brother barely talks to me. He's been really cold since Saturday. My sister also doesn't seem like herself. I've been checking on her asking if she needs anything, sitting with her sometimes. But I don't know if I'm actually helping. The hardest part is that she specifically told me not to tell mom and dad. I understand why she might not want me to. Maybe she's scared, embarrassed, angry, or maybe there's something else going on that I don't know about. Maybe she doesn't even want anyone involved. But I'm also thinking, what if something really serious happened and I keep quiet because I promised her? I'm 17, so I'm not some adult who knows exactly what to do in these situations. I don't know French laws or what you're supposed to do here. I don't know whether I should tell my parents, talk to my sister again, contact the police or contact some kind of service for advice first. And I feel horrible even writing this because I don't want to betray my sister. She's my sister and I love her. I just don't want to wake up one day and realize I knew something was wrong and did nothing. Our family is financially comfortable and we have a pretty normal life from the outside, so it's not like there's some history of violence in our house or something like that. That's partially why this has messed with my head so much. I've never seen either of them like this before. I just want to make sure my sister is safe. One user says, I think you should tell your parents. Another user says, go to your sister and ask her gently one last time to tell you what happened and that you will be understanding and if she stays quiet, tell her you are going to tell your parents because there's something wrong. If she panics and tell you what happened, then you act from their base on her story. If she insists on not telling you then go straight to your parents like you told her you would. Another user says, jumping on this to agree that when you talked your sister first, ask her gently but directly if there was any sort of intimate touching of any kind. Force ofness, force or assault and shock and especially for young girls and especially for young girls in this situation from a family member, they are mentally attempting to save themselves from further trauma so they can also deny a soldier force even with injuries because it wasn't that bad or it was just and too few people understand that intimate touching or any kind without consent is assault. So be mindful that you can have a more productive conversation if you remember she is likely traumatized by whatever happened and you may have conflicting answers that you will have to work with or ask in different ways. That's why I recommended using multiple words to address the same thing, touching, coercion, force, assault, she could say she wasn't assaulted but that there was touching and not realize it's the same. The other thing I want to add and I really hope you read that as nothing who grew up with two older brothers and a sister, a twin, a brother three years older and six years older, nothing that happened between editing sibling was ever only between so and so sibling. WTF, are you joking? We literally shared walls walked into the same shared room in the same floor of the house. Any shouting was heard by everyone and everyone would poke their head out to figure out what's going on. It is really weird for someone to be private between two siblings of opposite genders who are super close in age where you, another sibling very close in age, are not supposed to be privy to. It doesn't concern you. Okay, maybe it doesn't technically concern you specifically but it's something normal and family related what's going on. Wouldn't that automatically include you as a family member and fellow very close sibling? I mean, why the secrecy? Like if it was just we had a fight because she said I smell or forgot to flush the toilet all the time, then that's something everyone can laugh about. But don't tell mom and dad and also go away, it doesn't involve you. What the F involves to family members and isolation from the rest of the family that needs to be a secret. To be honest, I think you're alarm bells for essay that rang after visually seeing what happened and as a 17 mail, I'm really supportive of you for number one staying open minded and not jumping to conclusions. Number two simultaneously acknowledging that your gut says something is wrong. Number one comes easy to a lot of people but it's still nice and number two is something most people learn through terrible trials throughout the rest of their lives. Keep listening to your gut, let it guide you. You sound level headed and caring and supportive. Talk to your sister, keep a combo with your parents in mind because if there is essay involved, they need to be informed no matter what, but in the safest possible way for her and you. You can post again here for more advice on how to do that after this first hurdle. I'm rooting for you and your sister, you're a good brother. Members need that. She will remember for the rest of her life that you were always in her corner even when she was scared or whether she wanted you to be or not. And then the OP comes back two days later and let's get into the update. It reads, "After my last post, I received a lot of replies. Some people told me I should tell my parents immediately. While others said I should talk to my sister first and make sure I wasn't misunderstanding what I saw. I decided to talk to her one more time before mom and dad. Honestly, I think I needed to do that for myself too. I kept wondering if Saturday was actually what it looked like. Or if I had walked in at the worst possible moment and was filling in the blanks myself. So yesterday I texted my sister and asked if she wanted to go get ice cream or dinner. I told her I was pain. A few minutes later I called her and told her I was already outside and asked her to come down. At first she said she couldn't because she was busy and dinner was almost ready. I pushed a little and told her that after everything that happened Saturday, maybe it would be good for us to get out for a while and chill. She came down a few minutes later. I deliberately didn't start talking about what happened. I took her somewhere away from home where nobody would be around listening to us. We got ice cream and just talked about random stuff, movies, football, stupid things we normally talk about. I wanted things to feel normal at first. She was still nervous though, I could see it. Eventually, when she seemed a little more comfortable, I told her why I'd actually asked her to come. I told her that whatever happened, I wasn't going to judge her. I wasn't going to yell at her or force her to tell me anything she wasn't ready to say. I told her she was safe with me and that I wasn't going around and gonna tell everyone. But I also told her that I couldn't just pretend nothing happened. I said that if she didn't want to tell me, she could tell mom and dad herself and I'd stay with her. But if she refused to tell anyone and I genuinely believed she was in danger, then I would have to tell them, not because I wanted to betray her, but because I'm scared something worse could happen to her. She got angry at me at first, then she just went quiet. She was extremely nervous and I could tell she was struggling to breathe normally. I honestly didn't know whether I should keep asking questions or just stop. Eventually, she started talking and what she told me was much worse than I expected. She told me that what I saw on Saturday wasn't the first time. Apparently my brother has been saying her for around three years. She told me she has never consented to having intimacy with him, not once. Apparently he says he's in love with her and has wanted some kind of relationship with her for a long time, but she never wanted that. According to her, he would emotionally manipulate her and use her feelings against her to get what he wanted. She also said his mental health hasn't been good for a while, which apparently made her feel even more responsible for him. I was honestly just sitting there listening to her and trying to process it all. She said that Saturday, my brother hit her first. She hit him back because she was trying to defend herself. Then he slapped her multiple times and choked her. Things just kept escalating until I heard them and came up stairs. Then she explained what started the argument that day. She had plans to go out with some friends, my brother found out and didn't want her to go. They started arguing and apparently he was also demanding more money from her. She refused to give him any more and the argument became physical. They apparently thought nobody else was home, they had no idea I was downstairs. I honestly didn't know what to say. Then she told me there was even more going on behind all of this. Apparently, my brother has been gambling and has lost a huge amount of money. She said she's known about it for the last few months and has been helping him cover the losses using her own savings because she was terrified mom and dad would find out. She told me she's already sold one or two of her designer bags. And some other things just to help him pay it back. Apparently they've thought about his gambling multiple times but she kept trying to help him because she wanted him to get better. She's been covering for him and using her own money because she thought she could somehow get him through all of this without our parents finding out. And honestly, this is where I don't even know what to think anymore. Every years of SA, the physical violence, gambling money, whatever is happening with his mental health, it's just so much. She started crying and at that point I didn't care about getting every single detail. I just wanted her to know that she wasn't alone. We stayed out for a while, had dinner, talked about some normal things again and eventually came home. I'm glad I talked to her because at least I know I wasn't imagining what I saw. What happened Saturday was real. She was assaulted and apparently this has been going on for years. And honestly, I'm scared of my brother. I don't want to confront him, I don't want to fight, I don't want to play hero and end up making things worse for my sister or myself. Part of me is so angry that I want to hit him for what he did to her. But realistically, that won't fix anything. It could just create another problem and make everything even more dangerous. I think mom and dad need to know. Their good parents, their kind and loving and our family dynamic is generally good. They're both working in high earners, financially we're completely fine, so money isn't really an issue for our family. They are strict though, especially when it comes to certain things. That's one of the reasons I'm scared about all of this. If I met something up, I know I'll have a lot to lose too. But I also know they love my sister and I don't think they would want any of this to continue if they knew what was happening. I don't think I can carry this by myself anymore. Ideally I want my sister to tell them herself. I want to sit beside her when she does it and support her. I'll tell them exactly what I saw and exactly what she told me. Nothing more, nothing less. But if she refuses to tell them, I think I'm going to have to do it myself. And that's the part that scares me the most. Because I don't know what my brother will do when he finds out. I don't know whether he'll be angry at me, deny everything, blame my sister, blame me, or whether there's still something else going on that I don't know about. Again, English isn't my first language. But if something missed in translation, don't mind. Also, I'm not adding other deadlines because of privacy. One user says, "Tell your parents ASAP. This is way too much for a 17 year old to handle alone. Don't confront your brother. Just get adults involved and keep your sister safe." Another user says, "The choking and repeated abuse makes this an immediate safety issue in my opinion. Don't warn your brother or give him a chance to prepare. Just get a trusted adult involved." And another user says, "Mate, you're just a kid. This is some serious adult stuff you've stumbled into. Your brother is a piece of human waste. You need to tell your parents or another trusted adult. Someone at school perhaps like a teacher. Support your sister. You're clearly close for her to open up to. You've done the right thing so far, but you need to pass it on to the adults. Good luck." And then the OP comes back a day later with another update, and let's get into it. This reads, "After my last post, a lot of people asked me for an update, so I'm writing one." "Yeah, my sister and I finally told our parents, actually we first told our mom. We pulled her aside at home when my dad and brother weren't there. I was honestly terrified about what would happen next. My sister was the one who told her everything, including things she had never told me before. Basically my brother had developed feelings for her. She was jealous of her friends and became possessive. At first she thought he was just being himself. But eventually he started confessing his feelings to her. She didn't want to tell our parents because she was afraid they would cut them off from the family. She said she had been trying to handle everything alone for around three years. Then she told my mom that the first time he essayed her was three years ago, and that it had continued since then. There was a lot more to what she told us, and honestly, some of it was extremely difficult to hear. She had tried to tell our parents before, but he threatened to kill her, and then commit S word if she told anyone. She said she kept trying to help him because she believed he needed professional help. But he seemed to expect emotional and physical affection from her in return. I don't want to describe everything she told us, but some of it was genuinely horrifying. My sister showed my mom the messages, her injuries, and photographs documenting what had happened. I don't want to look at those pictures. I only helped take a picture of her back when she needed it documented. My mom became very cold and angry. She comforted my sister and told her she was safe. She then called my dad and told him everything. My dad was furious. That day, my sister and I were sent to another home, and my parents confronted my brother that night. I wasn't there, so I don't know exactly what happened. My sister later told me that my dad slapped him several times and that my brother cried a lot. Apparently, he kept saying that he never hurt my sister, that he loved her, and that he was scared she would leave him one day because they had been close since childhood. I honestly don't know what to make of that. I haven't seen my brother since that night and neither has my sister. He is currently staying at our farmhouse with nurses and is being kept away from us. My mom took my sister for a medical check up and arranged therapy for her. I don't know what happened during those appointments or what they discussed and I don't want to pressure her to tell me. One thing I forgot to mention is that my sister had planned to go to the USA for university. She wanted to get away from everything, but my brother eventually ruined that plan. When he found out she was going to leave, he started using drugs and gambling. He was apparently struggling mentally and physically for months. And everything became even more complicated. So right now my sister and I are at home, my brother is in another home under medical care. I don't think my parents are planning to involve the police, at least not from what I know. They are keeping them away from us and focusing on taking care of my sister. I've also been a little removed from everything because of school. My sister didn't want to tell me everything before and I think she was trying to protect me from some of it. She's been dealing with some fever and illness too and she still isn't doing well. My mom is trying to be there for both of us but my dad has been doing a lot of the practical things and mom is helping too. I don't really know what happens next. I'm just relieved that my sister finally told someone and that she's not dealing with this alone anymore. One user says, "Thank you for keeping us in the loop. We may be strangers but we care and we support you and your sister. I'm so proud of you both for coming forward. Both of you are incredibly brave in the face of something so terrible. She's been dealing with some fever and illness too and she isn't doing well. She's probably crashing from the stress. It's in an inevitable part of the healing process. Even a person is finally safe from danger and they can finally relax their defenses. All the ugly pain they've been carrying comes to the front. It's like being mortally wounded but adrenaline giving you the strength to reach a doctor before collapsing. Things will get worse before they get better but because you took action they can start to get better. You did good." Now the user says, "You two are strangers but I've been genuinely worried about you. Thanks for the update. You guys did wonderfully. I personally think your parents' decision to keep it to themselves wasn't right or fair. Your brother isn't going to truly get the help he needs nor will he be held accountable. But either way I'm glad that two of you are safe. Your sister will be fine. She's likely exhausted from all the stress. Don't get rid of any of the pictures or text messages that you and your sister have. You never know if you'll need them in the future. I wish you the best of luck and I'm sorry you had to deal with all of this at your age. I'm very proud of you. And we have never received another update from the OP. "My life hasn't bloated. Husband, 29 year old male, slept with my mom, 55 year old female, right before we got married two years ago, plus update. He confessed it to me yesterday out of guilt. The details are that he was extremely drunk on a bachelor party night which I knew would happen. He didn't drink often and overdid it. Said the next morning that he didn't remember anything after a certain point. I thought nothing of it. And looking back I can see how he was acting pretty off which I assumed at the time was just wedding jitters. And now he's told me that he did remember coming home that night, which was when my mom, staying with us that week for the wedding, came on to him. He went along with it to the point of ending up having in her bed. In fact, he passed out in her bed and was there the whole night. My bachelor at party was the same night. I came home at around 3 a.m. to see that he wasn't in our bed. I texted him but assumed that he had crashed with a friend as he said that he might do if things got a little crazy. But he was actually with my mother, right in the room next fucking door. The next morning he quietly slipped out while I was still asleep and then opened the door pretending that he'd just come home after sleeping off the drunkenness at his friends. He got into bed with me and told me that lie. As if that wasn't enough, he also initiated soon after. He'd been fucking my mother mere hours before and we got married the very next day. Everything. I literally cannot believe this. My mother has a history of trying to flirt with guys I've dated and being inappropriate. But this bad, but still, and my husband knew this. We laughed about it. He assured me that he would never in a million years think she was attractive. What the fuck? I called her last night just said, "husband told me everything." She spent several minutes pretending not to know what I was talking about, then denying everything and saying he was making it up. Then, claiming she'd woken up to my husband, forcing himself on her. The sheer audacity of the bullshit she is capable of is beyond any disgust I can properly convey. I eventually just ended the call. I couldn't stop crying. She refused to even admit the truth let alone take any responsibility or apologize. I'm not even worth basic honesty in my own mother's eyes. I'm not even worth the half-ast, I'm sorry to her. The person who's supposed to love you no matter what. Is she also think I'm stupid? Why keep lying to someone who knows you're lying unless you actually think that they'd fall for your shit? Today, I can't cry at all. Everything just feels unreal. I'm completely lost and almost feel like I dream this or something. I've lost the two most important people in my life because they decided that I wasn't as important to them as having a quick nut. Well, hope it was the best 10 minutes of their lives. And sure, maybe my husband didn't come home that night with a planned intention of sleeping with my mother. He probably didn't and it was just a horrible judgement from over-drinking. That doesn't change the fact that he and my mom did have. No one should be able to say that about their spouse. How's that even normal? I cannot imagine remaining in a marriage where my spouse is my mom literally two nights before our wedding. There's simply no coming back from that night. No, I will never get over it or forgive it. And I feel absolutely revolted for the last two years that I've been at family visits together acting more or less normal with me right there like a stupid, conclueless fool. There's probably much more I'm forgetting but maybe it doesn't even matter. I'm just done. My life is gone and I have no idea where I will be next week, let alone next year. We were going to be together for the rest of our lives, and now it's gone. It's like I have nothing. What can I do now? How do I possibly explain to the rest of my family why we're divorcing? I am so. King. Emiliated. Update November 17th, 2021. My actual update will be brief, but I first want to thoroughly address what you guys said in my first post. I read every single comment. I guess skip to the bottom if you just want to know the update. Most of you were pointing out that it sounded like my husband was too drunk to consent, meaning she, Tim. And when I spoke to him again after reading all of that, I asked him carefully if he felt that she took advantage of his drunkenness. There was a long pause. He sighed and gave me this look that was just full of guilt and sadness, and then basically said, "No, that would be too easy to just go with the out that I was giving him, but that I deserve the full truth." He then proceeded to tell me that before that night they had been f***ing for several months. He had not told me this the first time he confessed, and he went on to tell me more explaining that he left this out because the biggest issue was the actual cheating, and he hadn't wanted to hurt me by giving all the lead up details. He only gave them this time out of some remaining sense of honor, I guess. He said that he'd been even more of a coward if he misled me to think that it was so. I guess he's not as much of a liar as he could be, and I really don't know how to feel about that. But anyway, they had been f***ing including exchanging nudes for a few months before the wedding, and now I'd known that they'd texted sometimes they'd always had a friendly relationship. I hadn't ever suspected anything weird, like I said in the first post, he'd been adamant that he'd never think of her. I trusted him. He can't explain why they started to be on to be caught up in the thrill of doing something forbidden. There were implications made about wanting to do things in real life as a one-night thing should the opportunity ever arise, disgusting. And so fast forward to our Bachelor of Bachelor at parties that night, the texting between him and her was going on while he was out that night. And so what I said in my first post about how he probably didn't come home intending to sleep with her? Yep. That was wrong. He did. In fact, him telling me that he was going to stay overnight with his friends if he got too drunk was all part of that setup. He knew that I'd be out very late at a show. He had the presence of mine to arrange a way to leave his party earlier in the night, go home, my mom, and already have given me a plausible explanation for appearing not to be home when I got back at 3am so that he could spend that one night with her. It was just that important to him to have the full experience of falling asleep after spitting and waking up next to each other. He reiterated that he had been aware of the whole time of what he was doing. He was not as drunk as he'd made it seem the next morning when he claimed not to remember anything that happened. I think that tripped people up on my first post in the thinking he was incapacitated. I thought I'd been clear that he admitted during his first confession that it was an act that he put on to me at the time to cover up his cheating, which he then explained he actually had remembered everything the next morning. So just to be clear again, while he did get drunk, at no point did he black out or become totally wasted to the point he was incapable of controlling his decisions and body. He doesn't know if she was drunk too or relatively sober. She had mentioned that she was drinking when he was out at his party but he doesn't know how much. And he said since that night he hadn't texted her at all except about logistical details of visits and one text he sent her the day after. And that one he said it would never happen again and she'd lose me if I knew which is correct and so she'd better never let it slip. She agreed and he claims everything between them since then has been a normal mother-in-law relationship. Do I believe that? It doesn't matter. He lied for two years and then lied by omission in his first confession about the month-long build-up to the affair. And during that time I was bonding with my mother over wedding planning. She brought me dress shopping. It's sick. I'd been in this place to not acknowledge his integrity around the roof thing. He told me to be easy to run with that in order to keep me, and I'd said if that's how it happened I would stay with him, but that he'd already betrayed me. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he'd made a false accusation about something so serious instead of taking responsibility. Well, that is the only part I respect him for. And as for my mom, nothing, not a word from her since this weekend, which is fine by me. I never want to see or hear from her again, and it's almost like she died. I don't have a mother anymore. Some of you asked about my father, and he died of health issues in 2010, and my mom had a revolving door of men when I was a teenager but no real relationship so I don't have a dad or a step-dad either. I'm also an only child. I have friends and some other family, but just do not have the energy to yell at them about any of this. Last thing, some people thought my post was made up because I hadn't replied to any comments. That was because I was so exhausted that I just passed out right after posting it and when I woke up, it was locked and I couldn't reply. Actual update. I'm proceeding with the divorce and have gotten in touch with an attorney. I've kicked him out of the house. I think he's gone to his parents for the time being. Not looking forward to a legal battle whatsoever, but there's no possible way to remain married after this shit. And to this day, he doesn't know why he did it. I have my own suspicions based on things he said in the past about wishing he'd had more partners before me because he felt like he had missed out on his youth. And maybe that was my clue that I wasn't enough for him. Should've listened, but let him and some friends talk me into believing I must be or he wouldn't be with me and that all guys have regrets like that and sacrifice them for the right woman. Clearly that wasn't me. And he also struggles with overuse of porn sometimes, stepmom is his favorite genre and never struck me as anything other than a dumb porn thing, whatever. I won't be dating for a long time because obviously I'm color blind to red flags. My husband killed someone and can't cope. Five months ago, my husband hit a woman while driving his truck. He struck her and she was killed. Much like the people who killed their family before committing S word, she was so selfish, basically taking him with her. He quit on the spot. His employer should have recognized that he was in distress and given him some time off instead of accepting his resignation, but they didn't. I'm eight months pregnant and before someone says you shouldn't have kids if you can't afford them, I know. We are in a world of hurt right now and it's only going to get worse. The accident brought up bad juju from an accident 10 years ago where he lost his wife and son. He has anxiety that he didn't have before. He goes to therapy but hasn't driven since the accident. He would rather walk in a hundred degree heat than get behind the wheel. He has driven trucks for nearly 13 years, it's all he knows. I know mental health is so important but we are at a dead end. I won't insult him by acting like I know what he is going through or what he is feeling but we can't afford for him to grieve any longer. I've been telling him for the last month that we are running out of money. We have less than $100 to our names and our pantry is bare. My wife can't wait for him to get ready. I don't know what ultimatum I can give that will snap him back to reality but next week we are going to be living on the street. We are on a month to month lease because we don't have the best credits so if we don't pay, we're out. I've already pushed our car payment back as much as I could. We've used our get out of jail free cards. Used all generosity from our family and friends and I've exhausted local resources. I work full time in a salon and simply don't make enough to support us. I try finding odd side jobs but I'm limited until after I give birth. I don't want to come off as insensitive but he needs to go back to work. We had a small savings that we have been using but that money is gone. My husband insisted he help out the woman's family with final expenses which I was against but he did it anyway. He feels guilty and I feel like the worst wife in the world saying all of this but I can't do this alone. Then the OP comes back about a month later with a heartbreaking update titled My Husband Committed S Word in front of me. This happened a few days ago and it's a cruel twisted irony that I made this Reddit asking how hard I should push him to go back to work. My last post was about how we were going to lose our place because my husband couldn't recover after he killed the woman with his semi seven-ish months ago. I said it was like she took him with her. Now he is actually gone and it's not even the same. Before I get some assholes asking why are you posting right now? I don't know what to do. I notified his family. For my last post I pushed him to try to get his job back and they took him back with open arms which was a huge blessing and surprise. When I called his boss yesterday to tell him my husband wouldn't be coming back, he told me that the company would pay for his funeral. He had been with them for nearly 10 years before he abruptly quit the day of the accident. He needed therapy and time off but thought the best thing, the easiest thing would be to quit and try and handle it alone. If you have people in your corner and if you have the resources available to you please use them. Did you know if someone commits S word in your house you are responsible for cleanup? If you are renting and don't have renters insurance it's on you. I made months pregnant and I'm being induced next week and I can't even go inside my house. I contacted the church we had been to on and off. Where we got married and S word is a sin so no help there. I think I was too hard on him in the last few weeks. I had let the stress build up and didn't tell him how bad things were until it was too late. He thought oh she can handle it like she always does. We have to stop thinking like that and be we, I mean anyone who is reading this because I'm sure you do it too. I brought up adoption because who would choose to bring a child into this world being poor. That is what a lot of comments told me and they were right. I'm being induced next week and I don't even have a clean environment to bring a baby back to. It's the last piece of my husband and I don't know if I deserve to raise him. I know I might have seemed like an a-hole about my husband. I was at slash am just stressed. But he was a good man who deserved to be a father and he deserved to be here. He just didn't see that, and I think I'll have a broken heart for the rest of my life. If anyone is in my area who wants to sit on the curb and drink lukewarm bottle water with a stranger, my DMs are open. If you were struggling, please get help. You are not weak or less than. Mental health is so important and so serious. Please. Update Wow, I can't keep up with the comments for privacy sake, I'll just say Illinois. I have a lot of places to call, so thank you to every single kind comment and message. I won't say I'm okay or that I will be anytime soon, but I'm safe. One user says X restoration expert here did many jobs like that. Renters insurance only covers contents and some liability. Biohazard cleanup is the responsibility of the owner of the property, and their insurance will cover that. Biohazard cleanup has two parts. They clean contents that have been damaged like beds, curtains, sofa, etc. Your property. This is billed to the renters insurance if any. The second part is removing contaminated materials, any carpet, wall board, etc. They do a very thorough cleaning and remove all traces of biohazard in the structure, which is anything attached to the building. That means flooring, tile, drywall, kitchen appliances. This is not your expense to pay, and the longer the landlord waits, the more expensive the job will be for him. He could theoretically sue the estate of your loved one, but he won't. And another comment says, with a baby, you are entitled to widow benefits from social security. You should speak with that office to get the claim started. You will receive a benefit in your baby will too. You will also be eligible for health care for both of you through Medicaid and WIC and a variety of other programs because you have a baby and just lost one entire income and person providing it. I'm so sorry for your loss. And I hope you can find your way clear of this darkness. And someone else says, that's really sad your church refused any help because S-word is a sin. Like it's cruel to begin with, but also you didn't commit S-word. You're suffering the aftermath and need support. I'm not a believer myself, but it seems to me that the sin there is, turning you away when you're in need. Very nasty thing to do. Do try to get your husband's social security. And someone else says, I think I was too hard on him in the last few weeks. You weren't. This didn't happen because of you. It happened because of his grief, trauma, and probable depression. I'm so sorry I have lost two family members to S-word. It is an impossible grief. It's also in no way you're fault. And another user says, I can't even begin to comprehend what you are going through. My heart goes out to you. May you eventually heal and find peace. Grief has no timetable and the steps of grief don't always come in order. Grief has you need to. And reach out to others as much as you can. And then the OP comes back two weeks later with a post titled 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and 19 and a half inches, and it reads as follows. This is an update to those of you who will ask on my last post, so I hope it's okay that I do so. I had my baby boy this past weekend, 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and 19 and a half inches. I wanted to share the news because when I texted his family the day he arrived, I was told they wanted to know nothing about him and didn't want to see any pictures. Heart crushing is an understatement, trying to sign up for survivor benefits and WIC while also filing out live insurance paperwork is surreal. I just hope it's approved ASAP. I'm keeping my baby no matter how hard it'll be. I never thought I'd be sending my husband to heaven and welcoming his boy within a week of each other. I want to believe they somehow crossed paths up there because the thought of him not meeting or never knowing his precious son is unfathomable. And let's get into the top comments. The first comment is, God, I'm so sorry for all you've gone through. And someone else says, I'm so sorry that you have to go through this alone. First, I want to make sure that you believe that none of this is your fault, so you have any family that can help you over the next few weeks that you don't feel even more overwhelmed. Also, ask the hospital if you're still there. About being connected to a social worker, they might be able to advise/help connect you to services since you are a widow with a newborn. I know his family's words are rubbing more salt in the wound, but don't shut them out if they one day come looking to meet the child. Grief can make people do crazy things, and while they should definitely apologize for what they said, don't tell them they had their chance, so eff off. And if they never come around, well, that's not your fault. We are all rooting for you and sending you virtual hugs. And we have never heard from the OP ever again. My mother-in-law cut my hair in my sleep because she thought I cheated on my husband. So I'm still processing this, but I needed to get off my chest. Last night I woke up and realized someone had butchered my hair. One side is a jagged pixie cut and the other side hangs awkwardly past my shoulder. At first I thought I was losing my mind, maybe I sleepwalked or something, but no. I confronted my husband Tim because he'd been acting very weirdly but he denied it, and then he dropped this bomb shell. My mom. She might have done it. Apparently my mother-in-law will call her Diane is convinced that I've been cheating on Tim. Why? Because last week she saw me having lunch with a coworker. And for the record, the coworker, Kyle, is gay and we're literally talking about work. But Diane decided that I must be having an affair and instead of, you know, talking to me or Tim, she broke into our house in the middle of the night with scissors and when full Edward's scissors hands on my hair. This morning I confronted her. At first she played innocent, but when I pressed her she literally said, "Well maybe now you'll think twice before humiliating my son." I was. fuming. I told her, "Kyle isn't even into women." Which she just rolled her eyes and said something like, "That's what they all say." I didn't even know how to respond to that level of delusion. Tim is horrified and apologetic but I'm struggling here. This woman violated my personal space, destroyed my hair and acted like she was in the right. I want to go no contact with her but Tim is stuck between me and his mother and I feel like this is going to be a huge blow up in our marriage. Any advice? Because I'm honestly at a loss here. Edit. My husband and I will be going to my mother-in-laws tomorrow to talk to her about the situation again. Hopefully everyone will be calmed down by then and I won't have to threaten legal action. Thank you for all the support and suggestions. I will keep them in mind. Relevant comments. It was his first thought, maybe my mom did it, like, why would a normal person's mind go there? Did he let her in? I'm sorry but if my spouse woke up with her hair butchered none of my thoughts would be that it could be my mom unless I knew or she had done that before to someone else that I was with, there was definitely more to that story and if he isn't immediately on your side it sounds like you have a husband problem along with a mother-in-law problem. Why was his first thought, maybe my mom did it? Because he knew his mom had seen her at lunch, she said. I confronted my husband Tim because he had been acting weirdly but he denied it then he drops this bomb shell. My mom, she might have done it. And so my hypothesis goes like this. Tim, when told this info by his mother either one, believed his mom and doesn't bring it up with OP the way his mom wants but behaves weird around her and keeps silent at home while probably still discussing the situation with his mom leading to mother-in-law escalating or two. He does not believe his mom because he trusts his wife but to protect his mother because of how much do you want to bet it's not the first time she's crossed OP's boundaries while Tim just urs and ums doesn't tell her this new thing mother-in-law is a big boiling pot of oil over. In either case, it boils down to you nailing it. Sounds like you have a husband problem along with a mother-in-law problem. This is a salt please report her terrifying. You're right, it does feel like a form of it and I've been seriously considering reporting her. It's not just about the hair, it's about the violation of my personal space and the sense of safety in my own home. I'm still waiting. the pros and cons of escalating things legally but comments like yours are helping me see how serious this is. Thank you for validating how terrifying it really was. It's pretty much written stone that if she doesn't face consequences for this literal crime, she'll continue to act in such ways towards you unquestioned. By the way, your husband is a sack of shit. What a useless dude, was spouse like that who needs enemies. It feels like a form of because it is. There's no defense of what she did and you should be pressing charges regardless of husband's opinion. Update. My mother-in-law cut my hair in my sleep because she thought I cheated on my husband and now I found out my husband helped her, same post, the next morning about 12 hours later. Of the conversation we had with Diane this morning, I noticed my husband Tim was acting weird. At first, I thought it was guilt about standing up to his mom, but it felt like more than that. He'd been avoiding eye contact and getting defensive when I bring up what happened. Earlier, I couldn't take it anymore and so I sat him down and told him that he needed to be 100% honest with me about everything. And that's when he dropped the bombshell. Apparently, Diane didn't come up with a haircut idea on her own. Tim admitted that he knew about it ahead of time and even helped her. I felt like I'd been punched in the stomach. He said he truly thought I was cheating on him with "Kai, oh my gay co-worker" because Diane had convinced him that there was too much evidence to ignore. When she suggested cutting my hair as some kind of weird punishment, he didn't stop her. In fact, he let her into our house that night while I was sleeping. Tim said he didn't want to confront me directly because he wasn't ready for the truth. And so instead, he let his mother do this insane thing to me thinking that it would force me to come clean. Afterward, when I didn't admit to cheating, he started to realize that he might have been wrong, but by then he didn't know how to tell me what he'd done. He kept saying, "I'm so sorry, I was just confused, but I honestly don't know how to process this. This wasn't just Diane acting like a lunatic. This was both of them and my own husband betrayed me in one of the most humiliating ways possible. I packed a bag and I'm staying with a friend tonight and while I figure out what to do. I don't know if I can ever trust him again after this, and it's not just the haircut, it's the fact that he didn't talk to me, believe the worst about me without any proof, and actively participated in something so cruel and violating. As for Diane, she's officially dead to me. I've already told Tim that I don't want her in my life ever again, regardless of what happens between us. And right now, I'm torn. Part of me wants to file a police report on both of them for what they did, but I'm scared of how messy it will get. Another part of me just wants to cut ties and move on, but that feels like letting them off too easy. I don't know what my next step is, but I do know this. I deserve better than this. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this, your comments and advice have meant the world, and I'm truly grateful for the kindness and understanding. It's helping me find the strength to figure out what comes next. Edit #2 To everyone saying this is fake, I don't know how to make you believe me and honestly, I shouldn't have to. I'm sitting here, crying in my friend's guest room completely broken, trying to make sense of how my life had fallen apart in the span of 24 hours. My husband, the person I thought I could trust the most, betrayed me in the most humiliating way possible, his mother violated me in my sleep, and now strangers are telling me my pain isn't real. I wish with everything in me that this wasn't real. I wish I wasn't sitting here trying to figure out how to rebuild my life, how to ever trust someone again, or how to even face the people around me after this. I barely eaten, I've been shaking all day, and I feel like my world is crumbling beneath me. I turned to Reddit because I didn't know where else to go. I needed advice, a sense of support, something to help me hold myself together, but these accusations, they're just making me feel even more alone. And if you can't believe me fine, but please don't make this harder than it already is, I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone. Update #2 I think I'm going to divorce him. I may file a police report. Same post the next evening about 24 hours later. After everything that's happened, I've been thinking a lot about my next steps, and I've come to a heartbreaking but necessary conclusion. I don't think there's any coming back from this. I trusted Tim with my heart, my safety, and my life, and he betrayed me in ways I never thought possible. I can't imagine a future where I feel safe with him, or I can trust him, or why I don't carry the weight of this violation every day. I'm strongly considering filing for divorce, thought of staying with him feels unbearable, but at the same time, I can't stop worrying about the messiness of it all. I just want to cut ties completely, to walk away and rebuild my life without him or his mother dragging me down any further. As for filing a police report, I'm leaning toward it, but I'm scared of what it might bring. I know what they did was a crime. My own husband let his mother into our home to hold me in my sleep, but the thoughts of dealing with legal battles or even just having to relive this again and again in statements is exhausting. Part of me wants to hold the accountable, but another part just wants to run away and never look back. And right now, I'm taking it one step at a time. I've been talking to friends trying to find some clarity in all this chaos. It's terrifying and painful, but I know one thing for sure. I deserve so much better than this, and thank you to everyone who has shown me kindness and support. It means the world to me right now. Update number three. I've contacted a lawyer and decided to press charges, same post, two days later. I just wanted to give an update after everything that's happened. After spending the last couple of days trying to process everything, I finally made some concrete decisions. First, I contacted a divorce lawyer. I explained the entire situation, included what my husband admitted to and how his mother violated my trust and personal safety. My lawyer was very supportive and walked me through the process of filing for divorce. While it feels daunting, I know this is the best decision for me. I can't see a future where I could ever trust my husband again after what he allowed to happen. Second, I decided to press charges against my mother-in-law. I've thought a police report for it, it's enough documented everything. Thoughts of my hair, text messages, and the timeline of events. While I'm still nervous about how messy this could get, I refuse to let her get away with what she did. What she did wasn't just humiliating, it was an act of violence, and she needs to be held accountable for it. As for my husband, I've made it clear that I'm done. I moved out and will not be returning. I blocked his mother entirely and I'm limiting any communication with him to legal matters only. I'm still scared, hurt, and figuring things out, but I feel a little more empowered now that I've taken these steps. Thank you to everyone who's offered me advice, support, and encouragement. It's helped me more than you know. This is still far from over, but I'm determined to move forward and build a better future for myself, and I'll keep you updated as things progress. December 6th, 2024 Editor's note. Included in the poster, two screenshots of text messages between OOP and her husband. I have transcribed the conversations below. OOP, redacted. I need you to be honest with me. Did you know what redacted was going to do? Husband, I didn't think it would go this far. That is not an answer. Did you know what she was planning to cut my hair? She was upset, okay? She kept saying you needed to learn a lesson, but I didn't think she would actually do it. Learn a lesson. Are you hearing yourself right now? She told you what she was going to do and you still let her in. I thought maybe she'd cool down after talking to you. She told you that she wanted to teach me a lesson by cutting my hair, and you thought it would be fine. What is wrong with you? I didn't know how to handle it, okay? She was so worked up, I didn't want to make things worse. Worse. How could it possibly get worse? You knew redacted. You knew she was going to do it in you letter. I didn't mean for it to happen like this, but it did happen. And now I'm sitting here humiliated, betrayed, and wondering how I'm supposed to ever trust you again. I'm sorry, I really am. Sorry doesn't fix this. Sorry doesn't make me feel safe in my own home anymore. I don't know who you are anymore. I need space to figure this out. Redacted, please just come home and we can talk about this. No. You made your choice and now I have to make mine. Relevant comments. Independent mess, 942. File the report against your mother-in-law as soon as you can. This conversation sounds like it would help the case very much and I'm so sorry this happened to you. Valkyries ride one. And get restraining orders against both of them. Don't be alone with either of them. If they both acted this insane about suspected infidelity, there is no telling what they will do when you tell your husband that you are getting divorced. Monophail Queen. I saw your initial post and I'm very glad that you're filing a report. I don't think it'll be worth your while trying to file a report against your husband. However, these texts will be great for your own report on your mother-in-law. Get a family lawyer now for the divorce. The state will be pursuing your mother-in-law for the ass. If you want, you could pursue a financial case against your mother-in-law for your hair, personal injury, distress. To know what else but a personal injury lawyer may be able to tell you if you have a case and what you could expect. Your husband is too tied up in his mother's apron strings. Your mother-in-law is crazy and needs to be shown consequences. Call me Eshalon. And keep all the receipts for any work you have done on your hair including the cost of the stylist, extensions, coloring, etc. and the time it takes. I'm a guy so I don't know what all will go into trying to repair the damage but I'm certain it won't be fast and inexpensive and you should be reimbursed for those losses. Wing in Vegas Former police officer, he definitely want to file a report against mother-in-law. You could also push for the inclusion of conspiracy against her and her husband since he knew about her plans beforehand and then facilitated by letting her into the house. Much allowed her to commit this. In most states in the US, you do not need grounds for a divorce and there are standards for the allocation of marital and separate assets. You need to talk to a local divorce attorney to review what you are entitled to if you do pursue a divorce. Many states also have court-ordered legal separation rules that can designate who is responsible for what while you are separated regardless if a divorce happens or not. Tattles 2020. Talk about the laws in your state for intentional inflection of emotional distress as well as other torture lawyers should be familiar with. You're soon to be ex-husband's text as proof that the crazy woman, certainly no lady, had specific intention to harm you. The premeditated and planned nature of her should drive punitive damages. She is unlikely to have insurance because it never covers intentional injury, but she should have non-exempt assets, meaning assets that you could seize to collect a judgment by the time that she is old enough to be a mother-in-law. Ask your lawyer that you hire about their experience in and willingness to collect a judgment by going after personal assets. Ruin this awful woman's life even if you can't collect big bucks. We have to make public examples of people like her. If we are going to restore some decency in a country where belligerence and craziness has been normalized, make her pay. My 22 female birth control was tampered with by my boyfriend, 22 male. I'm pregnant. My boyfriend and I have been together for three years. We were high school friends, grew apart, ended up going to the same college, similar majors, reconnected, you can guess the rest. We've been on the rocks lately, our lifestyles just don't align very well. And sometimes he treats me more like a mother than a partner. I'm losing patience. He is an only child and kind of a massive mama's boy. His mom is nice enough, just very traditional. Until recently, I don't feel like I've had a reason to distrust her. He can find in her a lot about our relationship, sometimes an uncomfortable amount. For the past couple of months, I feel like she's been trying to plant seeds in my head about having kids when I'm alone with her. Some examples are, the joy of motherhood is like nothing else. You'll understand some day. Or I know it's hard right now, you know, a baby might bring you closer. Another says, "My husband and I fought constantly until we had boyfriend's name. And once you have a baby, everything else falls away. They are little miracle workers." And also, you know, fatherhood changes people. I think boyfriend's name just needs to experience it. That last one in regards to his irresponsibility and lack of accountability for housework. I'm on the pill. I've been trying to get on a different form of birth control that doesn't require constant effort, like an IUD, injections, arm, implant. But I haven't been able to decide which one is right for me. My birth control comes in a blister pack. But I usually pop a week's worth into a pill organizer so I can just take it with my other medications. I don't bother taking the sugar pills you're supposed to take during the week of your period. I keep the empty blister packs with the leftover sugar pills in my nightstand, because I'm weird about throwing things away sometimes. What if I need it later mentality I picked up from growing up in a doomsday prepping household? Thanks dad. I feel incredibly stupid for that now. A couple of weeks later, I missed my period. Took a pregnancy test, saw the dreaded second line, and proceeded to freak out. Boyfriend was at work when I found out, so I called him immediately. I told him we needed to talk and that it was urgent. He didn't want to come home at first since we are not in a great situation financially. I started bawling and begging and I think he realized it was serious. When he got home I was sitting on the bathroom floor, I was a wreck, cried so hard I vomited. Anyways, boyfriend gets back to our apartment, finds me on the floor, and as soon as he sees the pregnancy test he smiles. His face lit up, and I saw red. No acknowledgement of the state I was in. The first thing he said to me besides what's going on was, "Oh my god baby this is great." I wanted to put my head through the wall. I tried to explain to him through snot and tears and spit that no, this was not great. We're both full time students with jobs, I can't take time off, I have a ton of unresolved health issues, we can barely afford the roof over our heads, I hate the idea of getting an operation to have the baby removed. I am all for it when it's someone else, just for me. I don't know if I can bring myself to do it. He left me to cool down in the bathroom for a while, I told him to get out and I saw one of my effing blister packs in the bathroom trash can. We don't use it very often, so we only empty it once in a while. I threw away the pregnancy test, inocked aside a wad of toilet paper in the silver foil of my eye. I can't believe he not only did this to me but also was so incredibly careless, it's like he barely tried to hide it. I can't tell if he wanted me to find out or if he just genuinely doesn't have anything knocking around inside his cranium besides a few rocks. I had been racking my brain, trying to figure out how this could have happened. I am so so diligent about taking my meds, I feel so effing stupid, so so so stupid. The sugar pills are literally a different effing color. I take like 7 pills in the morning and unceremoniously dump them into my mouth, I definitely didn't look closely at them, he didn't give me a reason to think I had to. He hadn't said anything about kids, I could tell he was kind of trying to be better about his responsibilities lately, I thought things were finally starting to look up when it came to the state of our relationship. We have access to each other's phones. I think he probably checked my Fitbit app to find out when I was ovulating, since I tracked my period there. I don't know how else he could have known. I think I remember a few times I'd unlock my phone and find the app open, but I thought nothing of it. I can find it in a few close friends all about all of this, told them everything. What he did. But how I think he did it, how I think his mom might have told him to, how effing devastated I am and how stupid I feel. In essence, they told me I need to grow a spine, leave him, stop going crazy, and figure my stuff out slash decide what to do. Now part of me feels like I might be overreacting, I'm staying with my parents right now, they don't know what's going on, they're kind of religious and I'm not exactly sure how they feel about having an operation to have the baby removed. I don't want to bring it up because I don't know how they'll react, boyfriend has been texting me non-stop telling me to calm down and come home and talk to him, I'm so effing lost. Sorry if this is a mess, I'm not proofreading, I don't have the bandwidth right now. Quick edit, I'm terminating, I'm chronically ill, I'd have an extremely risky pregnancy and I don't want to bring a kid into this environment. I've made an appointment but I'm still so scared. I also have a lot to say. had my friend gently prod my ex over text about what happened, and he didn't even have to do much. He bent immediately, saying he needed to get it off his chest and that he feels like a terrible person. He is. I'm leaving that goddamn scumbag. He just doesn't know it yet. One user says, "Girl, there is absolutely no shame in getting an operation to have the baby removed. I would definitely not want to even co-parent with someone like that if they are so incredibly manipulative." And the OP responds and says, "It's not so much shame as it is guilt and anxiety. I just worry that if I do, I will regret it for the rest of my life or that something will go wrong. I guess there's no way to know unless I do." Maybe you're right. Another commenter says, "I'm not going to sugarcoat this. This is a form of SA. He is trying to force you to carry a child, a term, birth it and raise it all without your consent. This is not a safe person to have in your life, nor is he safe to raise a child. Him and his mom, your description of his mom, makes me think they did this together or it was her idea. A word of advice, if you do decide to terminate, tell him you miscarried. He doesn't deserve the truth and you don't deserve whatever terrible response he and his mom would direct your way. You need to put yourself first and decide what you want your life to be." Good luck OP." Another commenter says, "100% OP, this man has committed a pretty serious crime against you. You are not overreacting. I understand the guilt aspect of not wanting to have a termination and that's a super valid way to feel. However, it's worth considering that if he was willing to commit an act of SA to keep you with him and do what he wants, you really don't know what else he's capable of. And you really don't know what his mother is capable of. It's common knowledge that you should not bring a child into a relationship that is struggling. It's a hard thing to do, even in a strong relationship. And you don't want to condemn a child to a life with these people either. You don't want to be tied to this man and his mother for the rest of your life. There are literally millions of men out there who could give you a child when you are ready, willing and most importantly, aware of what was happening. I promise you to serve so much better than this." And another commenter replies that it says, "If you're in a single party consent state/country, record him admitting it and reporting to the police. What a effing monster." And the OP response and says, "I'm an Illinois. In all party consent state, I have a really close mutual friend with him that I've known since childhood. I'm going to ask if he'd be willing to gently prod boyfriend via text to try getting an admission/explanation, both because I plan on filing a police report once I figure out how and because I feel like I need to know exactly what happened. I don't know if I'll get that closure. We'll see." And another commenter says, "Also not sure if OP is in the US, but definitely wait on reporting until you confirm your state's current laws on termination. You probably won't want to report if you're in a state that is made termination illegal as it would document your pregnancy." I'm so sorry OP. And the OP response and says, "I'm an Illinois. Thankfully termination is protected here. I'm going to terminate." I feel like at this point I have a moral obligation to report him. He did it to me. He could do it to someone else. He deserves to face repercussions for what he did. And then the OP makes another post, "Five hours later," titled, "My boyfriend tampered with my birth control without my knowledge or consent, and now I'm pregnant. Can I go to the police?" My boyfriend swapped my normal birth control with sugar pills. I have some physical evidence of the tampering, the pills he threw away, and screenshots of him admitting that he did it, slash an explanation of how he did it via text he sent to my friends. Does this warrant going to the police? I don't even know where to start or what I would say. And one of the top commenters says, "This is called reproductive coercion. There are specific laws against this and some jurisdiction. But still might be actionable in other jurisdictions. You at least have grounds for a civil suit." Another person says, "Yes, you can always go to the police. There's no harm in talking to the police to see if they'll file charges." Some argue that it's a form of SA because it violates consent. You would not have intimacy with him had you known the truth. But I don't believe that Illinois has a specific law concerning this. It goes by the name reproductive coercion. Here's an Illinois organization that fights abuse and violence in relationships, perhaps they can advise you. Here's their page on reproductive abuse. And another person says, "Hi there, I am a leave goal advocate for SA victims and have worked for multiple crisis centers in different states, including Illinois. You have a few options here. But I would start with finding the R word crisis center for your area through the Illinois's coalition against SA. R word crisis advocates in Illinois have absolute privilege and can't report or share anything without your permission. So you can feel safe that law enforcement won't be notified unless you want them to be. They'll go over all the options with you and be able to give you information specific to your area and even meet with you in person to help you make a report. And hearings with you, etc. And someone else says, "As a victim of reproductive coercion, I think you should consult with a qualified Illinois attorney and attorney can help clarify potential civil claims and determine the best legal course of action. Terminations are still legal in Illinois." And then the OP comes back with another update about one month later and lets get into it. This reads, "I haven't proofread this, sorry so please excuse any screw ups. So much has happened since I last posted here. As I'm sure you can imagine, long story short, X's family is a mess. Getting in touch with legal professionals and talking to police has been so overwhelming. But I am lucky enough to be working with some absolute angels. I can't get into the weeds of all that in this post. It doesn't really look great. But it's hard to say what'll happen since everything is still so fresh. Courts move at a snail's pace, but if I'm ever in a position to give an update, I will. Now time for everything, I guess. X confess to messing with my birth control. I have a close childhood friend who my ex took to early in our relationship. Looking back, X definitely had a little bit of a thing for her. I think everyone who knows her kinda does, myself included. She is compassionate, amitable, gorgeous, the whole package. Anyone who knows her, well, knows she is not to be effed with. Point is, he trusted her a lot. A few hours after I made my first post, she and I got together and schemed. We very gently prodded him over text. He barely bent before he broke. We deliberately made the text messages sound super nonjudgmental, like she was on his side. She threw me under the bus a little bit and implied she felt closer to him than to me to really sell the act. I can't go into detail about how the conversation went down, legal stuff, but I do have the screenshots and I will definitely be posting them if I can once all of this is over and done with. If I remember to, that is. I don't think X would have ever spilled his guts if she hadn't been in the picture. Friend has been by my side pretty much ever since. I mention at the end of my original post that I've been staying with my parents. And they have been gracious enough to help me to line back on my feet no matter how long it takes. I quit my dead end job. I've been meaning to anyway. And I've been doing school online. Friend brought her many work from home setup and we've both just been sharing a bed in my childhood room most nights. Also we sort of kissed. Only once. It was nice. I had a big fat crush on her for like the entirety of high school. And I don't know what else to say about that. I won't bore you guys with the details since I know it's not what you're here for, lol. I don't want to tell my friends about it yet so you guys get to hear first. I'm not dying to get into something serious at the moment but I won't complain if it ends up going somewhere. I think some part of me has known for a while that my last relationship was, confit, leaving felt like such a monumental task. And some messed up way, this has been a blessing. I was thrust into a situation where the only reasonable option was to drop him like hot stuff. Which was kind of long overdue. Parents are also way chiller than I thought they'd be. I mentioned in my last post that they're kind of religious but they chilled out a lot after I moved out. Faith is still a big part of their lives but they're less into following the book to a T and more into making the world a better place. My dad got really into virtue ethics and I think it's been good for him. I had a conversation with my mom about everything and she has been nothing but supportive. We had a girl stay with her, my aunt, my friend, and my sister a couple of days before my appointment. Being surrounded by love made everything easier. Appointment meant well. No complications and everyone made sure I was taken care of while I recovered physically and emotionally. I can't even begin to tell you all how grateful I am. I feel like everything has gone as well as it possibly could have in the wake of an absolute horrible time. As for Ex's family, oh my god. This isn't the first time this happened. Ex's cousin did almost the exact same thing. But his girlfriend, now wife, kept the kid and married the ship bag. I've been talking to her but I don't want to air out all of her trauma and dirty laundry on the internet. Lots going on for her. If she gives me permission to talk about it here, I might update once the dust settles. I don't have much else to say though, except to thank you all so incredibly much for giving me the kick in the ass I needed. I've received so much kindness from this community, both in DMs, and there were so many comments I didn't get the chance to read but everything I saw was so sweet, not a single unkind word. I hope you all continue to be such gems. I hope the goodness even parted it on to my life comes back around. Thank you, thank you, thank you. One user says, "Good riddance, happy for you." Losing those 180 pounds feels great. And someone says, "It certainly does. Thank you." Another user says, "Okay, surprise, love story is definitely what we are here for. Just to clarify, I speak for the entire internet." And the OP responds and says, "Elemao, thank you. I don't know about love story just yet, but my fingers are crossed just a tiny bit." And then someone asks the OP if they are safe and away from her ex. And the OP responds and says, "Yeah, I'm safe. Thanks for asking. I haven't blocked them in case he says anything incriminating. So far, the texts and voicemails have just been begging and pleading for me to hear them out and try to work through this with him, etc." No threats of violence, thankfully. I've heard through the grapevine that he's gone off the rails a little bit. He got fired from his job, served at a kind of fancy restaurant for freaking out customers, lingering around tables and making intense eye contact and asking inappropriate questions. I have a friend in one of his classes and he's shown up wearing extremely formal tire for some reason. I really hope he gets some help. For the sake of everyone around him, as much as I hate him, he's not violent for the time being, but I feel like he's acting out in strange ways and he can go south quick. And then the OP comes back four and a half months later with an update titled "Update on my legal situation in case anyone is curious plus small update on X's cousin." And let's get into it. This reads, "I pressed charges and filed a civil suit against my ex just over four months ago, about a month after everything happened. I will start with some good news. The civil suit was settled out of court and mediation. It was over almost as quickly as it began, presumably because that family didn't want to deal with my ass any more than they already had to. I will be receiving a very fat chunk of change in the near future." There was a lot of evidence in my favor. Maybe a pro tip. Don't block someone's phone numbers slash social media if you're taking them to court. I didn't engage with them at all, just let the texts and voicemails pile up. X's dad is apparently very wealthy. I knew he was well off, but my ex didn't receive any assistance from him while we were together. Not even when we were struggling. Nothing I knew of, at least. X's parents lived in a pretty modest, biggest place. They had nice things, but I had absolutely no clue the extent to which his dad was effing loaded. After I pressed charges, it took approximately 1 million years for my case to be handed over to a prosecutor. Police were extremely unhelpful. Everyone I spoke to was nice enough, but I felt like I wasn't taken seriously at all. So much time and effort and heartache just for the prosecutor to drop charges. My attorney told me from the start that this was pretty likely. Birth control sabotage doesn't fit neatly into I.L. law, or Illinois law. I think most reasonable people would consider what happened to me reproductive abuse slash coercion. But reproductive coercion here was legally defined and then act that in essence allows people to sue if they were coerced into having a term. Attorney explained that what happened to me is a form of SA. I was incapable of consenting legal term. I couldn't adequately assess the situation because my ex knowingly and willingly withheld information from me. That information being of course that he asked with my birth control, something like that. A lot of this stuff goes over my head. I felt like it was pretty effing cut and dry, but apparently the prosecutor didn't think so. Eff me I guess. Might be able to refile or something, but I truly do not want to. This has been so so exhausting I am ready for it to be over. X was a perfect angel with a rich daddy. Going to a nice college with nothing on his record, I can't say I didn't expect this. I'm so effing angry. I mentioned in my update on relationship advice that X's cousin did pretty much the exact same thing. I'll refer to X's cousin as Mark and his soon to be X wife as Kathy so I don't confuse myself and the like maybe three people will end up reading this. If you're reading, hi, I hope you're having a nice day. It was a mess. X confessed over text to my current girlfriend. His confession also implicated Mark. Basically, X claimed that whole ploy was his mom's idea. Mom claimed that she got the idea from her sister. had no excuse. Kathy said everything clicked into place after this. When I was with X, his mom would make off putting comments about how we ought to have a kid that surely X would clean up his behavior slash magically become responsible slash a thousand other things if we just had a kid. Ant said similar things to Kathy and Mark. I'm not totally clear on how Ant and Mark messed up with Kathy's contraceptives. Kathy said she wasn't either and she didn't want to talk about it. Mark fessed up. Kathy wasn't as lucky as I was. She ended up keeping the kid and marrying Mark. Following constant pressure from his family, she is divorcing Mark. I won't share much here since it's not my dirty laundry to air out, but it's going well for her. Apparently, Mark has been very compliant. It helps, of course, that is cousin kind of ratted on him. I'm still mutuals with Kathy on IG, but we don't talk much these days. She seems to be doing a lot better. And we have never received another update from the OP, but my God is that entire family just insane. Like how crazy is it that the OP wasn't the only one affected by this family? Like the mom, the mom's sister, the brother, or the ex and the ex's brother, they need to be in jail. They are actually insane. Like this is just genuinely unbelievably insane. Discovered an uncle who is actively posting suggestive photos of minor family members to a photo exchange site. I am an independent journalist who is working on a few pieces regarding abuse and exploitation. By following the source of some Instagram photos, I discovered a lot of disturbing accounts, one of which is an uncle who is actively posting photos of the various minors in his family, particularly of one who is his favorite. What is particularly concerning is that he is doxing this girl by posting photos of her from supporting events, revealing her location and school by extension, her name, her teammates names, that she is a twin, etc. Her school has a tip line and I already shared with them that their sporting events are being publicized on such a website. However, I feel personally concerned about the girl and her family. Is there anything else I can do? One user says you need to talk to her parents ASAP. And the OP response and says, "Unfortunately, these are people I do not know, and it is in a state that I don't live in. I don't know how to contact her parents, or I definitely would." Another user says, "Why would a journalist need to be told to call police?" And the OP response and says, "I guess I'm not just sure of internet law/specific jurisdictions, especially because it is a Russian website." The guy and his family are definitely located in the United States though. I can't provide her last name, just her first name and what school she attends. Do you think their local police would still benefit from the limited info? Another user says, "I don't think it is illegal if these are fully clothed pictures for him to upload these pictures to the website, unfortunately." I say that because I don't know the content you've found, but the police may not be able to do anything, so you'd have to just let the parents know yourself if that is the case. And the OP response and says, "This is the main issue. They are not explicit, but suggestive." Lots of beach, hot tubs, whim team, feet, photos, etc. The comments, however, are extremely intimate and express a clear motive to why they are posted. Really with a user also advertising his encrypted email address. Another commenter says, "FBI tip line for illegal content involving minors." And the OP response and says, "I think this is probably the next step I will take." Another commenter says, "Probably you need to." And the OP says, "I meant out of all the options suggested, this is what makes the most sense with it being international and not directly explicit." Another commenter says, "Using the term "journalist loosely" if you need to turn to reddit about what to do in the situation." And the OP response and says, "You're not wrong. But I felt as if I should provide some context into how I came upon this. Though I'm not a journalist by trade with a lot of experience or resources, I am a writer who is passionate about bringing awareness to this particular subject, even if only to a few people. I was trying to research a more general topic and never imagined I would stumble upon the very intimate and specific details of a young girl's life. I want to do right by her and thought it would be important to consult." Another commenter says, "If you're researching the ways minors are exploited, it feels irresponsible not to be aware of how to report it. Frankly, avenues for reporting should be part of the piece, but I imagine that is up to an editor." And the OP responds and says, "Your statement is true and important. I will do more to better educate myself, starting immediately, especially laws regarding international internet regulation." And also the OP adds some more context on how it was found. They say, "I found the page in question by searching the source of a different unrelated photo from Instagram to see if it appeared on any other sites. It did. It led me to a whole minor foot interest community. In one click. From there, I found the account in question because he had made an intimate comment on the original photo. The comments on the photos he posts are very like-minded. The entire site is devoted to sharing these types of "not necessarily malicious" photos. All the while, the users are posting heinous comments. Many users advertise encrypted email addresses. I feel the website allows like-minded individuals to further connect/exchange. And then the OP comes back 17 hours later with an update and let's get into it. This reads, "The FBI and N-C-M-E-C have been contacted in addition to the school administration. It has also been reported to the internet watch foundation. I want to further emphasize that the photos are not directly explicit. I have no proof of them, just malicious intent. I have discerned this through the type of website the photos are on, the comments made by the uncle and the comments of his audience. For those questioning why I would come to Reddit, honestly, shock and the need for human feedback. I didn't know who to talk to, though I am writing a few pieces regarding this subject. I was prepared to personally uncover an act of crime. I have never previously been in the position to report my suspicion of active crime. Let alone one that involves an international website. It was very emotionally upsetting and I'll be the first to admit that I was ill-equipped to handle something of such severity. Nonetheless, I care. And I want to make sure I do everything I can. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to help me. And then we don't hear from the OP for a very, very, very long time. About 14 months and then 14 months later, we get an update and let's get into it. This reads, "It's been over a year since I posted about this discovery. I want to thank everyone for their advice and for also encouraging me to better educate myself on how to assist victims. Some basic details, the photos were not explicit but opportunistic with the OP claiming to be an uncle. OP also made explicit comments about the children in his family, especially one little girl in particular. I reported this account to multiple entities, including the school district. After my post, I contacted one of the children who is now a college student and informed him that photos of him and his siblings were being shared on photo exchange sites with some captions even insinuating love between siblings. It was a rather short conversation. He thanked me for reporting to the authorities, being that he was the girl's brother. I also expressed my concern for her since most photos were of her. All I know about the progress is that the website in question is no longer available in the United States. When accessing using a VPN, the uncle's account is still active, but only 26 photos are on his page compared to 100 in the past. None of the photos were of Molly or her siblings, I am grateful for that. However, I will mention one thing that I find strange. The mother continues to post public photos of her children on Facebook. I would assume the young man I contacted would have relayed the info to trusted family members. If there were my own children and they had already been inadvertently exposed to intermittent predators, I would no longer post public photos or information. I don't know, maybe I'm reading into it too much. It all still weighs on me quite heavily. One user says, "You did everything you can do. If the family figured out who did this, they are almost certainly blocked on Facebook." At this point, you are an internet stranger that knows way too much personal information about this family, time to take a step back and let them sort this out themselves. You have good intentions, but any other attempts to notify them/get involved would be seriously overstepping. And then the OP responds and says, "I completely agree and hadn't even considered it." I just got on here for the first time in a long time and had messages asking for an update. Another user says, "My sister-in-law doesn't seem to understand why my partner and I were very concerned about pictures of her children being posted publicly. We tried to explain not everyone who was looking at those pictures are innocent people, but she just brushed it off. I think some people can't comprehend the "gravity" or "just don't want to" as a coping mechanism." And then the OP responds and says, "I think you're right." And it's not just parents. One of the most concerning things taking place in my opinion is the fact that schools post sports photos of minors. This is done out of innocence, but sports photos divulge so much information, team name, last name and school name. Not to mention that schedules are often public. This not only gives a predator's info about the children, but also info about how to find them. And this is just really good information I think at the end. Just parents out there, if you have kids, just be very, very careful about where you post the pictures. Obviously, I feel like people are just way too open with the internet about their personal information. I mean, the internet is a very, very disturbing place. It's nice to share photos with people you know, but unfortunately, there's creeps that are always lurking just around the corner on the internet, especially if it's a public profile. I mean, my entire channel is basically based around creeps and that sort of stuff that lurked the internet. So yeah, everyone with kids or people that know families that have kids and they post it online maybe just be like, you know, a good friend or, you know, just whatever and be like, hey, maybe don't do this because you know, this happens often where kids are preyed upon by creeps online and just, you know, better to be safe than sorry, there's no point in having the pictures up. But, um, yeah, super disturbing. And just, uh, make sure to stay safe out there. AI owed to my fiance victim, blaming me for my essay because I cheated on him. September 12th, 2025. Me 24 and my fiance 27 have been engaged for around a year and I've been doing a ton of wedding planning and so was he. I started losing a lot of hair from the stress and he knows this so he suggested that I could relax and eat hando everything. My friends invited me to the club when they heard that I was free for once and I agreed. I did not tell my fiance initially where I was going but I assumed that he'd guess where I was going because where else could you be going and revealing clothing at night. I know this might be perceived as disrespectful but he has always been okay whenever I dress like this and I usually dress modestly anyways. And he asked me where I was going and I told him I was going to the club with my friends and he just said okay. My friends picked me up and we headed to the club and that entire time I did have a couple of drinks and I tried to keep myself in check because I'm an engaged woman but my friends had me drink more than I intended. A man approached me whilst I was by myself in the booth and he was trying to pursue me. I told him that I was engaged in the police leave me alone. I grabbed my hand to see my ring before he proceeded to reach his hand up my dress and forced my hands on to him. I immediately pushed the f***ing lunatic and called my husband to pick me up since my friends were nowhere to be seen and he came to pick me up and I was frantically explaining to him what happened only for him to pull over and yell and an accusing tone. What? At me. Obviously I didn't think he was mad at me because I think my fiance would be the last person to be mad at me for something that clearly wasn't my fault. I repeated myself and he started driving again and kept responding to everything I said with but why did you let him touch you? I was in disbelief and told him that I didn't let him touch me and I told him to leave me alone. He tells me that I shouldn't have gone to the club wearing what I wore. Started shaming all of my friends who went with me and questioned why I didn't do more to protect myself. I custom out because what the f***ing then he tells me that he is the one who got cheated on and that I have no right to be angry with him because he was only concerned for my lack of self-awareness and then started to make his last point about going to the club was already kind of cheating and I should have consulted with him first. Now I'm seriously considering calling off the engagement but we've been together for four years and he has never done anything to hurt me. We rarely fight and he's almost always very gentle with me. This is the first time he's reacted this way toward me and I definitely saw him being aggressive with other people that weren't me a few times. I don't know if I should wait and talk to him in the morning because giving him the benefit of the doubt maybe he's just as tired as I was from the wedding planning and isn't thinking rationally. I think there's a hidden camera in my mom's car. I have a strong suspicion that there is a hidden microphone or camera inside my mom's car and we don't know how to locate it and what we would do if we find something. My mom bought a 2016 Chevy Malibu from her dad. The car originally belonged to his nephew who wasn't carcerated. When my mom first got the car her dad told her that they had installed a hidden camera slash audio device in it to monitor the nephew while he was driving. He then claimed it was just a joke. For more context she actually got the car in 2022 so there have been cases starting from when she first got it. But over the time she has owned the car, her dad, including his wife, have both made multiple oddly specific comments about private conversations and actions that occurred exclusively inside the car. Number one we had a private conversation in the car about his wife's rice was when she cooked it and it was terrible. A few days later on the phone he randomly stated out of nowhere I don't care what anyone says. My wife makes the best rice. He said it on repeat as if he was just itching to say I heard you. And number two my mom was looking at her nose in the rear view mirror while driving and jokingly told me I'm not picking my nose. I'm just looking at something. A few days later her dad randomly told her I bet you'd be picking your nose while driving. It's just so strange how he brings up things that we never said to him and how each time a few days later he always said something about the exact subject we talked about. So is there a hidden device in there? And we find it? What do we even do after that? And how do we even find something like that? And now let's get into some of the top comments and theories. Someone says well test it. Have her say something completely ridiculous that she won the lottery but isn't giving any of it to the dad. I don't know. Someone else says or someone is pregnant that will most definitely generate a reaction of some sort. Someone else says wait can you please try this and update it later. This would be epic. And the OP responds and says I definitely will keep everyone updated. So many ideas. I'm trying to figure out which one will do. LOL. And then the OP says small update. So my mom talked to him earlier today. Instead she called him. The first time she called he said he had to call her right back because an important call was coming through. But within the 30 second call the first time he said multiple times. Is there anything you need to say? You got something to tell me? My mom said no because we want to get him to say something more specific before we say anything. A few minutes later he called back. First thing he said was you don't sound right. I think you have something you want to tell me. Are you sure you don't? In addition my mom also added in an extra story. As mentioned in another comment this man is very motivated by money. So in the car we talked about her adding him to her life insurance policy. But during both calls she told me he was never specific of any details. But he was acting as if he was trying to push some info out of her. Again nothing specific. Just trying to see if she knows something. I'm waiting until we get more evidence to make a full update in a post. So I'm hoping people will see this small update for now. And one commenter says some cameras emit an infrared beam that can be detected with a camera even a cell phone. Park it in a dark place. Leave the vehicle running in case it only draws power when the car is on. But turn down the dash lights the headlights the dome lights etc and carefully record all the nooks and crannies the AC vents under the seats etc. Then play back the video and look for bright light coming from a place that isn't illuminated. That's likely going to be the camera. And the OP responds and says wow that's very interesting. We will give it a try. Thank you. And someone else says take the car to a mechanic. Perhaps even the dealer as they will be most familiar with what is out of place. Explain to them that you're worried about next stocking you. It's so much simpler of an explanation and need them to go through and look for something taped into the wiring harness. If I was given those instructions I would take a flashlight and look in the fuse panels and then under the dash and the floorboards before pulling a single panel. Aftermarket wiring is really obvious if you go looking for it. I'm willing to bet it's not a camera but a listening device and it will have a cellular link. So it won't be impossibly small. Probably a little black box taped or zip tied to a wiring harness. When you're at the dealership don't talk about the device with a near shot of the car and make sure they understand that you don't want the other party to know it's been found. They will deny it and be prepared to do so when it goes offline. Whether you file a police report or handle it in other ways will be up to you. Edit and furthermore don't mention taking the car into the relative otherwise they will volunteer to take a look at it and the device will disappear. And someone else says so let me get you straight. Your mother and you are trying to trick her highly financially motivated and likely abusive father and to believe in he is now a beneficiary of her life insurance policy. I'm not trying to be dramatic but I'm also not exaggerated when I say that life insurance is the start of many many true crime stories. Please insist that your mom goes to get her car thoroughly looked at and get some assistance from her pops. This is crazy pants and we have never received another update from the OP so hopefully nothing bad happened but very strange and scary to say the least. All right guys that wraps up three hours of some disturbing true red threads.

    FAQs

The fiancé, after arguing about having a child, attempted to remove her arm implant while she was sedated from medication. He admitted he was doing it to help start a family and claimed he studied the procedure. The woman felt terrified and violated, and she ultimately left the relationship, filed for a restraining order, and took legal steps to protect herself and her son.
