Have you ever felt like your Black Friday promotions just get lost in all the noise?
Like you're shouting into a void while everyone's distracted by Amazon deals?
What if your Black Friday could feel completely different?
Like an exclusive party that people are genuinely excited to be a part of?
Hi, I'm Kate from Hello Funnels.
I've made over $6 million in online course sales
and I've helped over 4,000 course creators to build profitable funnel-based businesses.
And today, I'm sharing my exact day-by-day promotion calendar
that creates excitement and makes your audience feel special.
And best of all, converts your Black Friday offers like crazy.
Are you ready?
Let's dive on in.
Okay, guys, the Black Friday season is here.
It is going to be here in just a minute.
And it is time, like now is go time.
It's time to get ready.
It is time to get prepared.
Now, if you didn't listen to our episode from last week,
we actually walked you through the types of Black Friday offers and promotions
that work the best, not just for your Black Friday season,
but they actually helped to set you up to have amazing success in the next year,
in that January, February, you know, peak sales season two.
So I would go, if you haven't watched it already,
go watch it now or watch this and then go watch it at the end.
Now you've done that and you know what it is you're promoting.
In this episode, we're going to be talking about how you promote it
and how you promote it in such a way that is going to be able to cut through
the screaming that is happening at this time.
Like, oh my gosh, it is noisy, right?
It is text messages.
It is WhatsApp messages.
It is obviously everything on social media.
It is on the television.
It is people still on radio, Spotify.
It's on the side of buses.
It's you can't get away from it.
It is loud.
And the thing is that, you know, people kind of actually like it
because if people hated it, then Black Friday wouldn't be a thing.
You wouldn't be making sales.
So people kind of get excited about it.
It's a bit of a season.
It's been an excuse to spend money.
But as someone who has a great offer, who wants to go out there and share it,
you know, it is very easy to get lost in the noise.
And I don't want you, you're a small business.
You don't have the resources to go out there and compete with Amazon,
with Target, with their ad spend, you know, so let's not.
Let's carve out our own place in this crazy season
and do things a bit differently.
Okay.
So I'm going to walk you through a couple of tips,
a couple of things that if you follow this, you are going to be able to rock
your Black Friday promotion this year.
And I also have a free bonus for you.
You can grab the link below, but it is actually my exact Black Friday calendar.
Okay.
So it's going to show you what I promote, when the exact lay of the land,
and you can just adapt it to be, you know, to match up with the dates
that you're going to have your exact offer, but you'll see how everything works.
So click the link below this episode, grab it totally free.
And you can use that to, like I said, to map out
and make sure you have an amazing Black Friday.
So let's dive into the tips.
So the very first thing that I recommend for all small businesses
is don't try to actually do Black Friday on Black Friday.
So we kind of make a joke here that Black Friday starts in March
because, and you're probably already seeing them, right?
But the Black Friday promotions, because they are such a big money maker for businesses,
they are starting earlier and earlier and earlier.
And I'm not saying do it in July, but, you know, they're starting earlier and earlier,
which means people are partaking, sorry.
And, you know, the excitement is already happening.
The sales are already happening earlier.
And then it all kind of leads up to this massive big frenzy of that final weekend, right?
But that final weekend, that is all of those periods,
like even though it is starting earlier, that final weekend,
it is the busiest, it is the loudest, it is the most competitive.
So, well, let's just bypass that.
Let's just shop on that weekend, all right?
And I would encourage you, and feel free to obviously test this.
Everything is something to be tested.
But I would encourage you, as a small business owner,
to pull your Black Friday promotion forward a little bit.
Make it at least one, if not two weeks earlier,
just so that you are not competing with quite the level.
Like you're probably going to have a third of the number of people,
you know, yelling and screaming at that time,
as you will if you leave it for a couple of weeks.
So, that's Timnum Winters.
Let's pull it a little bit further.
Tim number two, and this one is really important,
is you've got to make it fun, okay?
You've got to find a reason for it to be fun.
Give people more of a reason to care than just saving money.
We have a specific strategy that we love to use on Black Friday.
We actually share it in our Black Friday magic bundle.
If you're on our list, you would have seen an email about this
just the other day, but where we actually make it feel like a party.
And people are actually literally lined up waiting for us to open our cart.
Like, they are so excited.
I have people messaging me.
"Oh, have I missed it? Have I missed it?"
You know, that is the feeling that you want to have.
And that is how you get to compete.
Because no one is feeling that about Amazon, right?
And there's no way that you would ever miss it on Amazon
because there's, you know, they re-target you in that banner ads everywhere.
And we can't compete on that scale.
So, we've got to be more clever, okay?
And so, what you want to do with whatever your offer is,
is you want to wrap it up in a big, shiny, glittery bow
and make this be something that, you know, people are excited about buying.
They're not just going, "Oh, I want to buy it now
because it's cheaper than another time."
They're like, "Oh, this is going to be fun, okay?
This might sound like a big ask, but it's totally doable."
And it makes such a difference.
The next thing that you're going to want to do
is you want to make sure that it feels exclusive and special.
So, again, it's not just about, "Hey, I've got this thing and now it's cheaper."
It's, "I've made something special for you, okay?
This is like something that not only is it cheap now,
but maybe you can't get it any other time of the year.
Maybe it's something that's usually only kept for your higher,
you know, your more VIPs."
Obviously, you don't want to like devalue your VIP offer,
but this is something, this is your chance to really play on the FOMO,
on creating something really small, intimate and making people go,
"Oh, I've always wanted to know what that was
and now I can get it and I can't normally."
So, how this kind of comes into play, again,
this is like one of the tiny strategies
that are really potent and powerful will help you to stand out
against the mass strategies that our budgets do not allow us to compete with.
And so, what you're going to want to do as the lead-up to Black Friday,
once you've planned out what your offer is,
and figured out like what about it is exclusive and special,
and you want to start giving people the FOMO.
Like start talking about it, start sharing that, you know,
letting people know that whatever this thing is, it exists.
Like if you haven't been doing that already,
you still got a couple of weeks to start to plant those seeds.
So, when people, you know, hear about it and go,
"Oh man, that's normally in the thing that's like $2,000 and I can get it
and I won't ever be able to get it again at this price."
That's kind of response we want to hear from them.
So, find something, find a reason,
find something that is going to feel like,
you know, special, exclusive, and start planting the seeds in the weeks out.
Like, you know, basically now, okay, about that.
The next thing, and again, this is key because attention span is really short.
Like even if they, your offer is ticking all of these boxes,
if people think they've got even a couple of days to be able to buy it,
you're probably going to lose them.
If they think, "Oh, I can come back to this.
I better buy this other thing first."
Because that one might sell out and that one, there's only 10 of them.
Like, I think that they're using scarcity and urgency,
obviously, done with, you know, done in a morally okay way.
We're not telling people there's only one when there's not.
But this is going to make sure that people prioritize making your purchase decision
over all the other purchase decisions that they have to make.
Because, again, they're getting like all these emails.
Like everything like me, I put a little star on the ones.
I'm like, "Oh, I want to come back to that."
Like that looks interesting.
I'm thinking about it.
So like in my sort of, my mental shopping cart for later,
like it's just window shopping.
And only a couple of those, "Will I ever come back and look at again?"
You don't want to be one of those offers that they're like,
"Oh, I like that person.
I like what they does.
They've clearly got an offer there,
but I've got 10 other ones I've got to get through.
I'll come back to it."
No, no, no.
You want them to be like, "I need to be the first person to purchase this.
I do not want to miss out."
And again, we have a strategy that we teach around this.
And it's so simple, guys.
It works so, so well.
It means that people are literally, virtually lined up.
And the second your offer opens,
your inbox is good with sales notifications.
It is wonderful.
It is so much fun.
And it's so much fun energy.
Because no one likes creating these things
and putting them out into the world and then going,
"Oh God, I hope someone buys."
Like knowing with like a crazy amount of certainty
that literally the minute your cart opens,
that you're going to get a flurry of sales is magic.
It is so much fun.
Even for people who hate launching, like myself.
Like I said, we've got all the details of exactly how to do that.
The scripts, the templates, how to make your offer really be
that sort of like irresistible.
They have to be the first person to buy it.
It's all inside our Black Friday magic bundle, guys.
I will just pop a link below the episode so you can check it out.
Otherwise, if you're on our list, go check your inbox.
