Hello, welcome to Solar Voice, a podcast series designed to help you master change within. Millions of people around the world are now awakening to the fact that changes in your life begins with changes in you. In Solar Voice, I share with you my experiences, thoughts and ideas that I formed from my experience of helping people from all walks of life. So today, as you listen to this podcast, you may discover something that might help you make a real change in your life. In this episode, I want to talk to you about a common problem that I see wasting a lot of time that just takes away and steals time from high performers. So there are some type of entrepreneurs who, when they wake up in the morning, they think about, "What is this thing that I can do today that's really going to make a big difference? It's going to change things." And a lot of the day just goes by because they don't have a plan and then something comes at Hawk and then they keep doing it. And then there is the other kind which gets on and they're just looking at all the toss that they need to complete and the things that are urgent and they finish it and they feel happy about it but the day is gone and then the therapy is like that. So I'm not proposing that we have a plan like the previous day. That's not what I'm saying. But what I'm proposing instead is a new approach, a completely new approach. And this approach sorts the day based on expressive gains. And what I mean by that is if you were to take a look at all the book that you have in a day and you may be an entrepreneur, you might be an employee, you might be a freelancer, you might not even maybe figure out what your career is but all of us have some things that we do every day. And if you were to just take a look from the list of all the things we have to do, if you were to just make a list, if you don't have one already, and take a look at all the things we have to do and sort them based on where your personal expression makes a difference to the outcome of that task. For example, there are tasks that I have to do like bank transactions and certain approvals. Now there is, there are mostly binary, I just have to am either done them or I've not done them. I've approved, I have not approved or I haven't gotten to approving or not approving it. But there are certain things which have an expression of your intelligence, of your creativity, of your foresight. Certain approvals where complex critical thinking, where some things may seem one way but based on your decision, it can change the trajectory of your organization or the team that you work for, maybe some piece of writing, recording where there is a personal expression of your artistry, of your intuition, of your foresight. Those are the things that are game changing, that can be game changing because they stack up. So, if you know the set of things that demand your expression and whether there is excellence or there is mediocrity in it, makes a difference to your impact that you can create. Even if there are small things, even if there are routine things, I would propose that you start with that first in the day and why first in the day? Because generally people have two slots during a day when they are able to express themselves the best. One slot is when everyone is sleeping in the middle of the night and that's a beautiful time. You find a lot of musicians, you find a lot of writers, you find a lot of artists. Use that time to create wonderful art, wonderful piece of work with solve complex business challenges, but a breakthrough for a problem that they were unable to solve all through the month. So, that's a beautiful time and that's good once in a while. But it's not good for doing it every day unless you want the rest of your life to fall apart. So, if you look at the legends, the game changers, they did not use the night on a regular basis, they used the night on a once in a while basis and they used the best part of the day the morning before everyone wakes up for you are loaded with the rest of the carries and concerns to do the things that are game changing. Now, the way this works is you do this every day and some of them are going to be good, some of them are going to come out great and a few of them are going to come out game changing. So, make a list of all the things that you do and sought them by two things. The basic sorting, which is sought them by which of these involves a personal expression. And once you've sorted that, it's a small set of all the things that you do. Big that small set and again run another sorting on it which is, sort them by which you fit utilizes your existing genius in your existing artistry the most. You know, for some people their cooking is healing and if it is, then it's using their genius and artistry already. So, for some people, you know, just making food in the morning is a game changer for their life and the people around them. For some people it may be solving conflicts, coming up with a solution for a cash flow challenge, coming up with a business plan or finding the gaps in the product and meditating on it and clearing the whiteboard and coming up with improvements. For some people it might be writing, for some people it might be recording. It could be so many different things so you don't have to restrict personal expression to like big things. Instead of thinking of what's the big thing today, think about where is your big expression, where are you expressing and which is going to be impactful for, you know, the impactful will happen because it stacks up every time you do things where your personal expression makes a difference. It begins to stack up and it builds and builds and it becomes a game changer, because one of them becomes a legendary masterpiece or because they do gather, have stacked up to become game changing. So one more time this is how this works. Make a list of all the things that you do and first and foremost reduce that list too. The set of things that has your personal expression as in the way you do it, the fact that you are doing it makes a difference and it can be done ordinary or can be done extremely well. So you reduce that list to the ones that has that variability and then from that sorted now based on which of these things in walks and demands and leverages your creativity, your genius, your artistry. And then just set up a routine, be consistent with it, the first thing you do as soon as you wake up is go for it, go do it. And added bonus is you are going to notice that that creativity and artistry and genius that wakes up when you put yourself to do these tasks first stays with you for the rest of the day and even enhances the rest of the things that may not necessarily include your personal expression. So I hope you have fun with this strategy. It's the best way to enjoy the little things that you do that's tax up to become game changer because businesses and families and industries don't change overnight because you all woke up to a radical idea that changed because you've been working on it consistently and doing that has improved you to a level where every piece of work that you do is making a difference and it's impactful and sometimes they also work because all the pieces of work that you've done stack up to become something more powerful than each of those things. And if you are not enjoying the things that you should be doing every day that you have to be doing every day right in the morning then maybe it's time to sit down and relook into your life and make the decisions, the bold decisions that will help you to get to a space so that every day when you wake up you have one, two, three, maybe five things that you want to do before you are ready for the day. And by then you have put out maybe a masterpiece and carrying a wipe with you that stays with you for the rest of the day and I'll see you soon again in the next episode.
