#217 ELEVEN Worst Places For A FIRST DATE

The podcast explores the "11 worst places" for a first date, according to women, based on a recent poll. Commonly cited bad spots include movie theaters, loud nightclubs, cocktail bars, and private home visits, where women report feeling uncomfortable or unable to converse. In contrast, casual settings like drinks or dinner are seen as more conducive to forming a connection. The list also includes unusual choices such as escape rooms, long road trips, and gyms, with some participants questioning their suitability for a first date. A recurring theme is the importance of public, social spaces to build trust and comfort. While the host expresses personal disagreement—especially with the negative rating of drink dates—he acknowledges the value of public interaction and shared experiences. The segment blends humor and personal reflection, highlighting how cultural and emotional expectations shape dating experiences. Ultimately, the conversation underscores that first dates should prioritize ease, conversation, and mutual comfort over novelty or exclusivity.

And you're in the 11 worst places for a first date according to women. Now I love this place, but the bowling alley has to be on there. The bowling alley is not on there, Zach. See, it's a great first date. I'm telling ya. So this is based off a recent poll from women. I'm gonna say that the movie theater is a bad spot. The movie theater is a bad spot. That was the first one that they listed. You can't converse. You can't talk. Yeah, it's tough. It's like a nightclub. Is nightclub on there, too? A loud nightclub is on there, because one, you cannot converse. I feel like that's not a date at all. If you invite a girl to the club, I feel like that's a wild first date. Yeah, you're trying to hook up, I think. Oh, yeah, hook up culture. It's a hot spot. Not good. Tiss-tiss. Why are you so weird? I don't know. I'm just trying to be comedic. No, I'm just trying to be myself. Sorry. Again, he's trying to be himself. Can I get cocktails? If you're being yourself, you shouldn't have to try. Like if someone wants to go get drinks. You can get a cocktail bar. Apparently, that's a bad spot for a first date. I feel like I disagree. Drinks is like the most casual to me. It's like, "Hey, I'm just trying to meet you on a surface level." I thought that was a good spot for a first date, apparently not. Did people go for a walk in the park? Is that a thing? No, no, that's not a bad spot for a first date, apparently. So dinner date's not on there, either? No, dinner date, I think, is a good spot. Okay, what about like a concert? No, concert, apparently not on the list. Comedy show, good date. Comedy show, not on the list. I can only think of good dates, I wonder why. I think comedy shows are a great date. Well, because you're there to laugh. I might go to a comedy show this weekend. Yeah, do it. That's a great idea. Where else are dates happening? To bring someone straight to your house? Yes, a family gathering is a horrible first date. I don't want to meet the family until like 10 dates in. 10 dates? I don't know, maybe further. I think like six dates is probably. I think like parents, probably a little later. That's family, isn't it? Yeah, but like sisters, brothers, like friends, that's fine. We disagree on that. Where do we go? Come on. Dates, think, come on. Swipe, I'm swiping. What? I'm swiping. I'm trying to message for the date. It's second nature to Zach. He swipes so much back in his day. Back in the day, yeah. What would girls be creeped out by? They'd be creeped out by, isn't amusement park on there? No. I'm not saying that's creepy. Think about the movie American Psycho. Like a work dinner? No, he just brought them to his house. Didn't I say that? He didn't say that. You said private home? Yeah, I said to your house. You gave me family. I said house. I gave you family gathering. Inviting someone to your house. A private home is on the list. I feel like girls get a little creeped out. They don't want to be just alone. They want to be in public first. What, can you give me some other hints? Can we go on a little bit? Yeah, think about like, maybe, many golf. Do you want a hint or no? Sorry. Would you like a hint? When stuff pops up in my head, I just say it. I'll wait until you say you want a hint. I want a hint. Okay. Think about like, their friends and like, celebrations. Oh, like a birthday party? No, more, like, more official. A double date, triple date. No, a celebration that's more official than a birthday party. New years. A celebration for your friends that maybe got engaged. Friends giving. Oh, an engagement party. A wedding reception. A wedding reception is on the list. I feel like I don't want to get invited as a first date to somebody's wedding. Yeah, usually a person that I don't know. I'd rather bring a friend at that point. Same, I totally agree. Oh, what else? Let's think about food. Food, yes. What's like the most simplistic way to get food? Oh, fast food restaurant. Yes, I'm going to give you that. It's a drive-through. That's horrible. Drive-through is not a good first date. It's giving high school. That's what it's giving. Zach used to do that all the time. No, I've never done that. I need four more. I need four more. Because woman didn't like, we need four more. What? Because woman didn't like. All right, once I flip up, it's afraid of woman. You need four more. Think about what happened previous in relationships. I was into it more than the woman. What? What? What? And they were like, hey, Zach, I'm just not that interested. You asked me what happened in previous relationships. I'm not asking you personally. This isn't like your therapist, Zach. Oh, whatever. What's a previous relationship called? Your ex. Yes. So your ex is bar, where your ex works. That would be a horrible person. So you think like if your ex is a bartender, do not bring your first date there. A buffet. Not a buffet, no. Feeling a buffet might be a great, might be a hit. Think about like, meat heads. Meat heads. Oh, DJs. Let's see. Like the bar, fist bump. What do your meat heads do to get to be a meat head? They go to the gym. Yes. The gym would be a bad first date. Besides gym rats, I guess they would love it. I know someone who met their girlfriend in the gym completely different. Think about driving a car. Driving a car? Oh, just a drive date, right? A driving movie theater. A long road trip. I think a driving movie would be a very good date. Again, first date might be a little aggressive, I don't know. A long road trip is on the list. I feel like that would be a miserable first date. Yeah, six hour drive, forget it. And the last one, I kind of disagree, but a guy or a girl can get overly competitive, maybe? Well, that's why I thought mini golf, bowling, and arcade? No, it's kind of like a new age thing where you get locked in a room. Oh, an escape room. And escape room is on the list. You don't know each other yet. Second date, I'm all for that. Okay, I agree. Those apparently are the 11 worst places, according to women for a first date. I kind of disagree with some of them. I do too. I feel like drinks is easy. It's like, I think that that is the easiest and probably best first date. Or just dinner. And it's like the date in that situation gets a free drink. Maybe some bites, small bites to eat. Yeah, yeah. I agree. I think the best first date is probably drinks. If you're of age. Welcome back to the podcast. This is podcast two, two 17, two 17. I'm gonna steal that charger from you. Yeah, steal it. Why not? Thank you very much. Anthony, how you doing today? Move it good. You doing all right? Zach thinks he's cool. Do you want in your glasses back? We gave him one compliment? I think he's aware of him. I feel like I kind of look sick. No, but you need no hat. Yeah, you do. Yeah. Oh yeah. You do look sick. Yeah. No, don't do it. I want to go back to nerds. Zach. Well, I'll do it for the updates. I'll go back. Any updates for the people? Zach is currently, so we're filming this podcast in advance. This is a film the two weeks in advance from when it drops. Zach is currently in Albania. Albania, yes. I'm backpack hiking through some crazy stuff. I don't know. I got to pack a backpack to go to a hotel. It's crazy. Yeah. Zach, before your girlfriend, you would never do this. I love nature and hiking. I was just always afraid. You hate this. And I know I could sacrifice my girlfriend. There's the most dangerous bears in the world in Albania. No bears. No bears just kidding. I was trying to get you there. I know. Trust me, because I looked into it, but there are snakes. Oh, that's worse. I think there's a king cobra. Anaconda. Zach. No. There's bears. Are there bears in Albania? Yes. Wild brown bears live in Albania. Oh, jeez. Just sling the king. Hansel the trap. I don't want to go anymore. Experts estimate that roughly 180 to 250 wild brown bears roam the country's remote mountainous and forested regions. There were 250 bears. That's all country. That's all country. Yeah. I know. There's bears. He's going backpack hiking. Yeah. I'm like going off-roading. You can't drive. You can't bring bears. Oh, jeez. Hansel the trap. I know these sunglasses look like I could take on a bear, but I'm a coward. What wild, scary animals are in Albania. There's some sort of snake out there. It's a venomous snake. There are brown bears. There's the first thing that pops up. Brown bears, gray wolves. You know what happened? Whoa. My girlfriend told me that there's no bears because she doesn't want me to be scared. That's exactly what it makes me. She's like, "No, there's no bears out there." There's wild boars. I'm not afraid of a boar. Zach. No. Those things are terrifying. The worst met injury of all time. You want to cesspit us? Who was our best player at the time? It was a wild boar. Got injured on his farm by a wild boar. You want to hear a crazy story? Yeah. That our grandma used to tell us? Of course. And the father that I don't think we ever met, he was in Germany or Czechoslovakia growing up. He went in the forest one day behind their house and there was a pack of wild boars. And apparently they're really dangerous and he saw them coming towards him. He laid down and covered himself in mud and they like stayed around him and like walked over him. And then when they left, he got up and left. And never heard that story. What? You never heard that? No. Grandma used to tell me that all the time. Beauty? Yeah. How it's got some stories? There's venomous snakes like the nose-horned viper. Oh yeah, the viper. That's the one. Oh, and the Balkan links. Stop. I don't want to talk about it. The European adder that's another snake. The Mediterranean? Oh God. No. The Mediterranean black widow. Oh. That's terrifying. Like the little spider. It's the deadliest spider on the planet. Why am I going Albania? What's going on? And my mom's listening to this. She's worried about me. Oh no. She's fine. Everything. Everyone's fine. I'll be crowded. It's cool. I just want to give people an update. We're doing an early ad read. Because legends is coming out with something this month. I want to share it with the people. OK, go for it. Legends is doing a giveaway with hundreds of gift vouchers during their August raffle this month. I love legends. They always give away to the people. To enter, you have to complete the August raffles missions located in the missions tab of the website. On legends, the link is in Arbaya. And the raffle ends August 31st. I'm not sure what prizes they're giving away. Probably some great ones. There are definitely some great ones that are going-- there are definitely some-- [screams] [clapping] Keep it in. There's definitely some great ones coming out. Yeah, I agree. I feel like they're good at giveaways. They're actually great at giveaways because they've given away a trip to the Super Bowl with tickets. I think they did the World Cup. They did the World Cup, too. I feel like there has to be some tickets involved. Maybe some cash. I don't know what's in it. But I feel like there should be tickets. And all within the process, if you use code makeshift, when you sign up, you got 100% match on your first purchase up to $100. Just code makeshift, M-A-K-E-S-H-I-F-T, Zach? M-A-K-E-S-H-I-T. So faster. M-A-K-E-S-H-I-F-T, M-A-K-E-S-H-I-F-T on Legends, go to the link in our bio and sign up today. Because why not? Why not? Why not play today? That's what they always say. It's so easy. Do you have any other updates for the people? Any other updates? I'm excited for football. I'm excited for football today. We're about two weeks out. Anthony, do you want a camera soon? Yeah. Yeah. Got this man some light, right? Well, you're away. I'll go get him a camera. - Finally. - But that's your deal. - Yeah, you got to figure that out, I don't know. - That's not your no. We'll get Anthony at camera. The people are asking. The people want 'em. - That's fun. - I have a topic that I think is very relatable to the people. - Okay. - Okay, specifically. - Are we gonna do another live show? - Potentially in March. - I feel like March is a good month. - March, April, before everyone has plans. - Jersey City and New York, one of those two. - One of those. - Not by the beat. - No, Jersey City was popping. - Yeah. - That was sick. - That was one of my favorite nights. - Me too. - We were like, I think like 10 tickets short of selling it out. - 308 tickets at a 325. - So that's great. - Sick. - Yeah. - Let's run it back. - Okay, I wanna compare this. I actually think I'm gonna answer yes to more of these questions than you, but we'll say. - You are considered a bad driver if you answer yes to more than half of these questions. - Let me hear 'em. - There's nine questions so you need five yeses to be a bad driver. - Okay. - Have you gotten two plus speeding tickets? - I have never gotten a speeding ticket. - Okay, can we pause for one second? - Go for it. - Not. - I have a gold card one and two. I have only been pulled over twice. - Were they for speeding or no? - That's the only two times I've been pulled over. Yeah, for speeding. - So maybe you could have gotten the speeding ticket. - I have two. - How many times have you gotten pulled over? You got out of it. - Zero. - I don't have a gold card. You're not nice to the guys? - No, you're not. You're not some sort of nice to you going. - I was doing 86 and the 65 coming back from Canada once. - Oh, I remember that. - And then I was doing 36 and a 25. - That's tough. - Ocean City, Maryland. - Right outside that development. - That's tough. - Yeah. - You're listening to this cop. That was uncalled for. - Highly doubt he's listening. - That is not listening. - Yeah, I've never gotten it. So that's enough. - All right, so I answered, yeah. So I got one. Have you ever caused a car accident? - Not with another car. - Really? - I've never been in an accident with another car. I've only been in an accident with myself. Because when you told your car, when you spun out into the guardrail? - Correct. - By myself. I have hydroplanes because I was in a tropical storm on the way home from the Giants on the highway, on the parkway at Turnpike, one of them. And I hydroplanes because I saw a car 50 yards in front of me hit their brakes. I tapped my brakes, lost all, it was a Camaro's horrible. And I just spun out, hit the guardrail, hit the guardrail. And then the other time I just hit a mailbox. - Yeah, I was gonna say this is a moving accident. - Yeah. - So like both cars need to be moving 'cause I hit park cars all the time. - Dude, it's bad. Feel like that's worse. - Yeah, like moving? Fine. Like if you're driving with me. - Cool. - But no. - No, I've only been in accidents with myself. - All right, that's fair. That's too much for me. - I'm just saying no. - Have you hit a curb in the last year? - Probably. - I definitely have. - Probably. I don't think about it, but probably. - I have two of the three so far. - Yeah, that's pretty bad. - It's a little dangerous so far. - And if you count parked cars, then you'd have three over the three. - I just, I don't know what it is. I lose concentration. - I think you count a half a point for the last one for you. - Do you use your phone while driving? - No. - I'm at three. - Now everybody picks up their phone once in a while. - I'm like, that's why I get the most work done. It's horrible. - You're just kidding me. - No, no, no. Like not actually. Like, I use Siri to text. (laughing) - Zach. - Sometimes the autopilot drive. - You text more when you're in the car than you do. - It's time that I mean, I do use Siri like half the time though. (laughing) - This is bad. - I'm incriminating myself. - You are. I don't do any of that. - Take my license away. - No, don't do that. - That would be horrendous. - Three and a half out of four, you have zero so far. No, you have one. Have you ever backed into a park car or object? - No. - Four and a half. (laughing) - What did you back into? - One time my friend was leaving my house and I was backing up to rush to golf and I hit my neighbor's car. - Oh. - Yeah. Did I say anything? (laughing) - I hate your car once. - What? - It's so long ago. - Like a marrow? - Yeah. - No, no, no. - Yeah. - Did you tell me? - I thought you had one of the friend's cars in the driveway. - No. - No, no, no, no. - He didn't tell me. - I thought the car was in park and I literally got out to get out and the car started moving and you weren't even in the car when the car hit. - He was in the driveway. No, no, no, no. I was like halfway out of the car and it hit Brian's car and I was like, oh god. - I've done that once too. One of the first like 20 times I went to my girlfriend's house. I got out of the car, I thought it was in park. 'Cause I got a new car and it was the press instead of the shift and I got out and I was like, oh shit. And I ran back to the car and I stopped it before it ran through the garage. - That's unbelievable. - So that's a point for you. - Yeah, I'm over half already. So I'm a horrible driver. - That's horrible. - Do your passengers regularly tell you to slow down? - No, they used to. Like I'm talking like high school college days. - I usually don't get that either. My girlfriend drives really fast. She loves zooming. - Our sister drives like a maniac. She drives so fast. All right, so we're both the know for that one. - Do you avoid parallel parking 'cause you're bad at it? - I have to parallel park every day. - I embrace it. - I love it. - You we have to. - Well, I love doing that at the beat. Like give me a tight spot to get into. It's a challenge for me. - We live in Jersey City and I do it for my girlfriend too. My girlfriend will call me once you get home from school and be like, hey, can you come out and park for me? I'm like sure. - I parked her friend's cars before. - I believe it. - Like we're at like a bar or something or out to eat and they're like, oh, can you come park my car? I'm like, yeah, of course. The best of that. Have you ever been honked at and immediately knew you were in the wrong? I'll say it within the last year. - I mean, I'm sure. I feel like I'm kind of reckless sometimes. - Like I feel like everyone would say yes to that. - Like you ever cut someone off and then like you didn't realize they were behind you that they were in your blind spot. - Sure. - I'm gonna say yeah, I don't remember a specific instance, but I'll say yes. - Has someone ever refused to let you drive because they don't trust you? - No, that would be crazy. - So I think you got two. Two of the nine. - And you got what, seven? - I think I was at like six and a half or something like that. - Exactly. - Yeah, it's gonna be an eye-opening event rate. - I've actually the last question refused to let you drive. Esteban won't let me drive the golf cart. He doesn't trust me. - I'm not letting Will drive the golf cart. - No, he's like me. - Will is a psycho. - No, he's a psycho path. - Yeah, you're a little sketchy too. - Yeah, it's fine, everything's fine. - You almost flipped a golf cart in Pennsylvania, didn't you? - Well, that wasn't my fault. - Okay. - Now, similar to your hydroplaning situation, I tapped the brake going downhill into that tunnel and I spun out, I hit the tunnel and then Esteban coming down, tapped his brake and then slammed his brake 'cause he was just hydroplaning at me. - That is not good. - No. - Oh my god. - That's so good. - That's my driving second. I thought it was relatable. Hopefully it's fun, hopefully the people enjoy it. - Do you need to go to like a therapist or something? - No, I'm just gonna have people follow, subscribe, rate the podcast. - Yeah, we never say that. - Follow, like and follow. - Like and subscribe. - I think we're at like maybe 30,000 followers on Spotify, which I thought was cool. - More people watch or listen to or watch our podcast on Spotify than like more than triple. - And they're listening longer. - Yeah. - Just saying. - I mean, I love YouTube, but Spotify apparently, people are fans. - I'm thinking, yeah, I'm not gonna say that. - No, say it. - I was gonna say, now it doesn't matter. - Oh, another update, at this point, we should be dropping some content with a super special guest. - Oh yes, we just got that news today. - Yes, at this point, the content should be rolling out. So I think we can say it on this phone. - Either that or in the next few days. - Yeah, so watch out. - I'm just gonna say it, say it. - We got, we were honored by the PGA to be chosen to interview Rory McAroy. He doesn't do a lot of interviews. - PGA tour, just so-- - To clarify. - PGA tour, we're doing an interview. Well, I'm doing an interview 'cause that's gonna be on vacation in Albania, getting bitten by rattlesnakes and stuff. - Yeah, I get to do that and we're meeting Rory McAroy. Meeting Rory McAroy, probably, if not the best, the second best golfer on the planet, and probably top five all time. - You can make the argument for sure. - Top five, I'm gonna say, top five all time golfers on the planet, we get like 15 minutes with them. - Yeah. - At the BMW Championship in St. Louis, shout out PGA tour. - Yeah, shout out the PGA tour for Lennon's do that. So that's gonna be exciting. It's on behalf of PGA tour and BMW. So that's gonna be fun. - Hit me with the next time. - You're a little too much. - Yeah, I don't wanna talk about it. - That's rude. - You're a little jealous. - Try, break, try, and say what you're gonna say. - Try break up with my girlfriend and meet Rory McAroy. - No, I would never. I would never. - It's a thought that I said though. - No, no, no, never came up. I'm saying it for the bit. - What if we got invited to play 18 holes? - If it was Tiger Woods. - Whoa. - You would break up with your girlfriend? - Oh my God. - It is Tiger Woods. - It is Tiger Woods, you're right. - He's right. - So you, okay, let me get this straight. - I'm in an accident. - We get the straight prize. - I wouldn't actually do that. - If Tiger Woods offered you a free trip with him, to Jupiter, Florida, to hang out with him for the week and play five rounds out of the seven days and just be boys all week. He's like, "I'm a huge fan." But you have to break up with your girlfriend and never speak to her again. - I like half to. There's no like, "Hey, she doesn't want me to do it." - You have to break up with your girlfriend and never speak to her again. - I mean, we're gonna have a conversation with ourselves, right? - I'm asking you, this is the conversation. - I'm kidding, I'm joking. - What would you do? - I would not golf with Tiger Woods. I know it would break my heart, but it would break my heart more to break up with my girlfriend. - Aww. - Can you give your topic? - You're getting nervous now. - There's a red bull upstairs waiting for me, Bob. - Yeah. - I'm so glad. - Can you put it in the fridge? - It isn't. - I did put it in the fridge. - Yes! - Can you not turn it into the car and freak me that no, I'm going to? Okay, you want to talk about toilet paper? - Of course. - Can you guess the eight things people used before toilet paper existed? - I can't even imagine, but sure. Some of these are quite scary. - Dirt, not dirt, but you're kind of close. - Leaves. - Leaves? People use leaves. I feel like that's the common sense answer. That's the most reasonable. - Just unbelievable. - Do you want me to give you props for that? Is that what you're waiting for? Did you get it? - What? - Unbelievable. - I don't mean anything. - If you have to explain it, usually it's a strikeout. - All right, next one. Before toilet paper, they had like rugs and carpets, right? Like towels? Yeah, I'll give you one. Rags and cloth scraps they would use. That's also a common sense one. The list gets crazier as we go on. I was thinking of step brothers, when they're like in that downtime in the scene and Will Farrell picks up the rug, the carpet. And he wipes his ass. (laughing) Okay. Go on. - Do you need too specific for people? - Yeah. - I think it's in these books. (laughing) It gets crazier, coconuts. - Not coconuts, no. - Sand. - No, no, sand. - I don't know, I'm guessing-- - How would you do with sand? - I'm guessing crazy, man. - You just put the sand in your butt then. That's what you would do. - What, what I'm thinking of things? - What do people use besides toilet paper? - Paper towels. - No, not paper towels. They didn't have paper towels, I don't think at that time. - Clothes. - No, not clothes. - Can I phone a friend? - They're hand? - Yes. - Oh! - Water and the left hand. - Oh, the left hand, 'cause it's respectful. Do you greet people at the right? No, I swear, it's a tradition. - I know, it's like water and the left hand. - Yeah. - That's disgusting. It gets even worse. - Worse? - It gets even worse, act. - Your friend's hand. - What? (laughing) - That's crazy. - This is a crazy answer. - Sorry. - Yeah. - But those hands don't. - It gets worse? - How? - Yeah, it gets worse. - Did they use animals? - No. (laughing) - What? - They use their dogs? - I don't know. - You said it gets worse. What's worse than that? - Not animals. - They use their urine. - No, not urine. - You were close with grass. That's, this one's not as bad, but we're gonna get to the bad ones. - Grass leaves trees. - What's like a wet type of dirt grass? - Mud? - No, like a dirt grass. - It grows in wet terrain. - Oh, like algae or moss. - Moss, they would use moss. - I feel like that one kind of makes sense. - It does, it's still disgusting. - It's still disgusting. - Probably the most comforting of the ones you've mentioned. - The rest of these are a little weird. - Yeah? - Yeah. - Like nature weird? - Well, one is, one is a type of food kind of. - Bananas. - Not bananas. - You're not too far. (laughing) - Keep it in. - Keep it in. - Keep it. - Oh. - How close has a banana got into your butt? - No. - Not close at all. - What? - I'm just standing here. - You make things weird. - I'm just waiting for you to guess. - Banana peels? - No. - The stem to a banana? - No, the stem. - Apples, oranges. - What? - Fruit? (laughing) - What? - Did you not say fruits? - Yeah, I did. - The dead. - The ad? - Tine cones. (laughing) - Bread. - Bread. - Bread. - No, this one's crazy. I'm gonna tell you. - Yeah, tell me. - A corn cob. - Ah. - What? - Like corn on the cob. - Apparently they would use corn cobs to wipe their scotchills. - That's not horrible. - Yeah, geez. - You got three more, Zach. - More food? - No, no more food. These get crazy. - Yeah? - Is it in nature? Is it outside? - They're kind of. - Were tissues invented before? - No, not tissues. They're kind of like hard. - It's just pine cones. - No, hard but smooth. You find it in nature on the ground. - Egg corns. - Coconut. - So, hold on, let's go back to that. What did you just say? - Egg corns. - I don't even know what that is. - Egg corns? - Yes. - Egg corns. - That's what he's trying to say. - Egg corns. - Egg corns. - What the hell is that? - Egg corns. - It's an egg. - Egg corns. - Egg corns. - That egg corns. - Some things I can't change, Brian. - Say it again? - Egg corns. - It's not egg corns. Okay, no. You find on the ground they're heavy. - Ross. - Yes. - Smooth stones. - They would use to wipe their anus. - You know what they used to say? - What? - If it's good for skipping, it's good for wiping. I don't think anyone ever said that. - I'm reaching. - This one, I'm reaching. - I'm gonna tell you one of them 'cause this is really tough. It's called a terrarium sponge. So ancient Romans often used a sponge on a stick, rinsed it in water and vinegar. Feel like that's not that bad. That's not that bad. But this one is the worst possible option. Does that have spikes on it? - Kind of. - Pine needles. - It's something that's broken. - Broken glass. - Not broken glass, but you're not far off. - What? - You're not far off. - Broken wood. - What do you make? - Tile, ceramic. - Broken pottery. - Yes. - Broken pottery? - Broken pottery pieces. They would use to wipe. - Brian. - I'd rather use a banana. - I agree. Banana peel. - Banana peel solid. - Banana peel's not a bad clue. - You're not a bad thing to wipe with. - I'm not gonna try. - So broken pottery pieces. - Where'd you find that one? - On Instagram somewhere. (laughing) - Everything on Instagram is like a little iffy. - Yeah. - But that's like our entire podcast. - Absolutely, but that's fast. - That's fast back on. Take that out off for the segment. - I feel like you're giving me orders. - I'm your pet. - You're like the jester. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Dance monkey dance. - That's what I was gonna say. - You ever shop at Trader Joe's or no? - I love Trader Joe's. - Why don't you start going there? 'Cause I didn't start going until last year. - I started going when I started dating my girlfriend. - Save! - Because there's one right around the corner from her house. - I love it. - First of all, Hawaiian shirts are fantastic. - Oh yeah, that's a whole vibe in there. - Second of all, the snacks are great. Chocolate cover pretzels. - They're great. - The chocolate cookie ice cream? - Dippers. - Our grandma Eda used to get us those. - The chocolate chip cookie. - No, I was talking to the chocolate chip cookie sandwich. - Oh, we're talking about the difference. - They put so many chocolate chips in the mouth. - But those, they have a great choice of bread. - I'm gonna do it. Who has the better snacks or what? - We gotta write it down as an idea for that podcast. - So old. - Trader Joe's is sick. No, it's like jalapeno cheddar bread. - Oh, it's gas. - That's gonna be a king of the hell next podcast or something like that, okay? - I have fun facts about Trader Joe's that you probably didn't know about. - It is a fun place, so I'm excited. - You're five facts about Trader Joe's. You probably didn't know. - I bet you I know him. - You can try food in any store. - What do you mean? - The staff at Trader Joe's will open any package for you and you could try it on the spot. - This just shows why they're the best grocery store. - There's an exception of raw, frozen, and alcohol offerings. - Okay. - But if you wanna try like the ice cream sandwich 'cause you don't know if you like it, you could just try it. - Why don't homeless people take advantage of this? - They'd rather you know whether or not you like the product before buying it than wasting it. - I absolutely respect that out of them. - You know something else, Brian? - Tell me. - They have a generous return policy. - What does that mean? - You could buy food at the store and go and return pretty much anything. - Even if it's an open package? - I think if it's an open package, if you don't like it, you could return it, they'll take it. - I don't believe that. - I mean, they're not gonna put it back on the shelves, but if you weren't happy as a customer, they wanna keep you happy. - Maybe they'll use it as the trying thing. - You return it with nothing. You didn't like it. - He did. - Eat the whole bag of the chips. - If you end up bringing something home you don't love, TJs will take back most items for a full refund with or without the receipt. - Never heard it to refer to as TJs. - Yeah, we're on a run-acrony basis. - That's crazy. - You never heard it called TJs? - No, never really. - Never really? - Someone call it that. - TJs, I call that all the time. I love TJs. - You call them me old. - They have an online library of recipes. - Oh, really? - Yeah, so you could go on their website, all the ingredients that you get at Trader Joe's, you could find out what to buy, and then how to use the ingredients you bought to make meals. - It kinda sounds similar to ChatGPT, but I love that they're doing it on their website. - But do you not trust TJs more than ChatGPT? - No, I definitely do. Can I say something? Orange chicken there is so good. - It is? - It's so good. - The fried rice too. Chicken fried rice? - Never had it. - I think it's delicious. - I mean, TJs is just the spot. - Thank you. We're getting there. - It's the spot. - Employees who work there get to try products before they hit the shelves. - That's kind of exciting. That's a nice little perk you get. - Yeah, so they're the ones that I get to experiment. It's all safe stuff. - I'm also gonna say something. The employees at TJs, they are so nice. - The nicest people in the world. - They're literally so nice. Like, I love them. - So there's four facts I have a fifth one for you. - Seasonal products are one of the biggest draws to the store. - Yeah, I agree. Fall is the best for TJs, sorry. - So I was gonna say Halloween to Christmas. They have some unbelievable treats that they sell. - I agree. I think even before Halloween, they start putting out the pumpkin spice stuff. It's great. - I was gonna say the pumpkin spice Joe Joe's are my favorite. - So do you know what Joe Joe's are? - I have no clue what that is. - They're Trader Joe's version of Oreos. - Yeah. - And they're chocolate covered Oreos. - I'd rather just have an Oreo. - Yeah, but they're healthy for you. - No, they're not. - They're healthier. - Trader Joe's. - They're out. - Let's look it up. - I'm sure they're healthier. - So you guys laughed at me. - Why? - Because you call them healthier. - Because you're saying healthier as if like they're like some like protein filled like. - They are healthier. - They're healthier, yes. - How many calories? - Just take calorie to calorie count. - Just take it back that you said healthy. - I said I meant to say healthy, yes. They're not healthy, but they're healthier, yes. - If you're choosing purely for your nutrition, obviously how many calories are at 'em? - Can you hold on? Okay. - Okay, this guy wants a camera. Sorry. - Can I read the sentence? - Yeah, go. - If you're choosing purely from nutrition, you can find picked Oreos. (laughing) - Buy a small margin. - Dude, that's insane. - I hate Trader Joe's. - Hey. - Can you give it some respect? - No. - I bet you if we did a blind taste testing of foods, you would like Trader Joe's better than what you do. - Okay, maybe. But the thing is I don't like how they market themselves. That's like, they don't market a health store. - They don't market themselves at a health store? - Yes, that's all they do. - That's all they do. - Does that work? - Well, that's all I know is you don't even do that. - No, they have a lot of them. - No, everyone says that. - That one's in the house. - Yes, someone's in the house. (laughing) - Why is this always happening? - Someone's upstairs. - The thing about Trader Joe's is that they're more, like, it's a value brand. 'Cause they have all their store brand stuff. It's like when you go to an Aldi. - Yeah, it's like the Walm or it's like the Wegman's Gatorade brand. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's cheaper. - It's all traded for their brand. - It's similar quality, if not better, than other store brands. - But it's cheaper. - They give you small plus price. - What do you trade our joe's greatest warrior over here? - We're getting paid for a left-small shopping cart. - Are they paying you? (laughing) - They have small shopping cart so you could push around and like navigate the small store. - All right, I'm not that big of a bitch. (laughing) - Come on, jeez! - I'm not that big of a bitch. - This is insane. - I like it there. - I'm just saying, trade of joe's. - It's great, but it's not like, - It's a super warrior. - It's a deal for me. - Yeah, but I'll stop. I'll go on for a while. - You will go on for a while. - I'm passionate about things. When I get attached to something, I'm sold on it. - Oh, we know Kanye West. - Yeah, same. - He followed him through thick and thin. - Same. - Do you wanna talk about restaurants, celebrity hobbies, or problems that feel way smaller? - Items that feel way smaller. - Okay, we're gonna get deep though. - Yeah, it's fine. - It's a serious topic. - Okay, I'm not joking. - Your problems will feel way smaller after hearing this. - Oh, we're getting deep. - Yeah, we're getting deep. - First one, around 6.5 billion people have never flown on an airplane. - And there's 8 billion people, so 1.5 billion? - I think there's about 8.5, so let's say two billion people. - Okay, still, that's most people. - I've been on an airplane 15 times in the last month and a half. - I've taken probably-- - Not 15. - I've taken like 26 total flights this year so far. - Yeah, it's ridiculous. We gotta feel grateful. - Oh yeah. - This one's kinda sad. More than 50 million people around the world are fighting cancer. 50 million? - 50 million. I'm trying to make us feel grateful. - Yeah, well, I feel grateful, but at the same time, these are like kind of depressing facts. - Oh, your problems will feel way less bad. - Next one is not as bad. I actually deal with it. Nearly 300 million people live with some sort of colorblindness. - You live with that. Three millions, a lot of people. - 300 million. - Oh, I misheard you. - 300 million people, that's a lot of people. I know two, three other people that are colorblind. - Do you feel bad that you won't see the world the same way that I do? - I don't know different. - That's true. - If that makes sense. But I would like to try those colorblind sunglasses. - Do they fix it? - They're like $700 apparently. But apparently they're specifically for colorblind people. And like I've seen some videos of like guys crying seeing colorblind. - Really? - I don't know if I would cry if I saw colorblind. - I don't think you're that colorblind. - But I think it would be very cool. - Yeah. - I would love to experience. - No, maybe I'll surprise you one day. - Over 80 million people depend on a wheelchair for daily mobility. - Again, that's insane. I'm assuming majority are older or disabled or disabled. I mean, that's an insane number. Like when you actually say the numbers out loud, it's a lot of people. - 'Cause usually you just think kind of who you see. - Exactly. - And it's kind of unique, but it's still a lot of people. - Around 170,000 people never woke up today. - Brian. - I'm saying your problems will feel way smaller after hearing this. This is extremely sad. I'm sorry to bring a dark grim topic to the pod. - I feel bad. I chose this topic. - You chose this topic. It's true though. - This is all true and people have to know the facts. And then the last one, nearly 2.2 billion people still live without internet access. - That one I think I know. - That's a quarter of the world. - It is, yeah. And they'll never see this video or any videos or information online. - It's crazy. - All right, that was all. Let's get to light heart a cheese. - I feel like we just end the podcast now. - You picked the topic, Zach. - Oh my goodness. - I'll bring up the spirits. - Bring up the spirits. - I mean, bring up the spirits for the people. I'll bring up the spirits for the people, Zach. - Let's talk superheroes. - Okay, hold the spirits. - Yeah, jeez. I mean, I've never brought that deep of a topic to the podcast before. - I thought it was a little risky, but I'm honored that you did it. - Yeah, I feel like try to push the barriers here. - So I don't know if this one's an actual debate, so I put a caveat on it, okay? - Yes. - You have $10 to build your superhero team, the rest attack you. Who are you choosing? - You have Superman for $7, Batman for $5, Ironman for $5, the Flash for $3, and Spider-Man for $3. - Okay, and I have $10. I'm gonna let you spend twice in one category if you want to, 'cause I feel like the answer's obvious. It's Superman and Spider-Man. Wait, is there more to this? - No. - Oh, this is it, yeah. I'm gonna go Superman and Spider-Man. But I'm gonna let you choose two in one category if you want to. What does that even mean? - You can get two Ironmans. - No, I'm gonna do Superman and the Flash for Spider-Man, either one. - That's it, I think that's an easy answer. - No conversation. Superman dog walks all of them. He does. - I feel like this is a dumb topic. - All right, I'll go to another one. What, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. I thought it was a debate. I thought it would be a debate. - I don't think it is a debate. Batman's a human, first of all. - Ironman is a human. - So here's my argument, though. - What? Batman versus Superman, who's the person that dies at the end of it? That's such a stupid movie. It's Superman, it's, yeah, but that's such a stupid movie because that never happens. - But Superman has a weakness, he has kryptonite. So if there's kryptonite involved in this, I've come on, Zach, if there was a gun involved, Batman dies. Is that true? - He's a human. - He's a human, but he wears the outfit. - If he gets shot in the face, he's dead. - I don't know, I don't know if the people agree with you. Hold on. - In the face, yes. - Yeah, he wears the mask, it's bulletproof. - He has a mouth, if he gets shot, he's dead. If he gets blown up, he's dead. - Maybe you just don't know. - Batman is a human. - I know he is. - Batman versus Superman is the stupidest, most stupid. Most stupid movie of all time, because Superman would dog walk Batman in real life or an economic book any time of death. - I don't know, Batman and Bruce Wayne survived and Superman died in the movie. - Let's look it up. - But do you think two Iron Man? - Who would win in a real fight? Superman or Batman? - Also in the movie, Batman wears that Superman outfit. - Yes, obviously, but that's why it's $7 for five. - Superman. - Is that period, blank? - Period. - Like 100% of the time. - It says 10 out of 10. - I don't know. - But it says Batman gets prep time. Batman has a shot. Both our bloodlusted no rules. Superman absolutely wrecks him. That's word-for-word. - Okay, but what about two Iron Man's versus Superman? Who wins? - Do you want me to ask you at TPD? - Yeah. - Two Iron Man's versus one Superman. - Two Iron. - Superman 9 out of 10 times. - 9 out of 10, okay. - Do you want another combo? - Yeah, what about Batman and Iron Man versus Superman? - Superman 8 out of 10 times. - Okay, give me one more combination. Iron Man, the Flash and Spider Man. - Superman 6 out of 10 times. - Okay, that one's a closer match up but you can't afford that with 10 down. - Yeah, so Superman's still, if you take Superman against like all of them, he would probably still let it. - I don't know if it was a debate or not. - I'm sorry. - It's not a debate. - Go back to back for this. - Yeah, go back to back. - Why not? - Yeah, because I think we have such a bad topic. - I'm sorry to bring the-- - No, it's okay. It's okay. I was gonna say six reasons why the ocean is scarier than space. But I'm not gonna go there because you already brought down the mood of the podcast. - The ocean is my biggest fear on the planet. - I think it should be everyone's and we'll cover that. - We'll cover that next podcast. - All right, I wanna do a retired soccer player draft. - Do you know who these people are? - This is a retired soccer player draft but it has to be 2000s players and later. - Goalkeeper? - Goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and two forwards. - Okay, are we doing a snake draft or no? - Yeah, let's do a snake. I feel like we never do that. You want first or second and third pick. - I'm gonna give you the first pick, Brian. - You're gonna give me the first-- - Unless you don't want it, I'll take it. - With the first pick and the retired soccer player draft, I'm gonna take Zlatan Ibrahimovic. - I love that for you, Brian. - So these have to be 2000 and up. - Yes, they had to have played 2000s and later. - Okay. - I love my first pick. This is a snake draft. - I feel like I'm gonna get my midfielder and a forward out of the way. - Go for it. - My midfielder, I'm taking Ronaldinho. - Yeah, I love that pick. - That's one A, one B, Ronaldinho and Ibrahimovic. - I feel like there's another player that I might have taken at midfield but I like Ronaldinho better. - Yeah, I'm happy with that too. - And I'm gonna take one of the best defenders of all time, a Chelsea legend, John Terry. - I disagree with that pick, but that's okay with you. - You're gonna take, I know who you're gonna take. - You know who I'm gonna take? - Yeah, we're doing two forwards, right? - Two forwards, yeah. - So I'm gonna dominate the forward division. - I feel like there's a lot of forwards out there though. Do I want to area on, Ray? - I don't know, Brian, it's up to you. - I'm gonna take Ronaldo and his Aria. - Okay. - John Luigi Bufon. - Oh, the Italian stallion. - The best goalie since 2000. - You think so? - Track GPT says so. - Okay, so yeah, I think so. - We're just in chat, I love it. Okay, so I got the best defender, and I got a great midfielder. I need my goalkeeper and another forward. No, two forwards. - Go for it. - Lock in. - I'm gonna take Wayne Rooney. Okay, I like that pick. - Wayne Rooney. - That's what they say 'cause they have British actors over there. - And I'm gonna take Terry on, Ray. - Okay, that's a good one. - Yeah, two forwards. I'll keep my goalkeeper, you already have one. I didn't even. - No Samuel Netto. - No. - I'm gonna take Zidane. You like headbutting people. That's not what I said, but I think he's a better player than everybody else on that list, a dirty player. And then I need my defender. Who should I take here? I'm gonna take Kafu. - That's because you met him. - It's 'cause I met him, and I think that he's the best defender on this list. I think he's better than John Terry. - I think he's better. - Stop it. - That's my list. I think that I've dog walked you in this sack, but what's your last pick? - And then my goalkeeper, I'm between Peter Chek, who used to be the Chelsea goalie. - You know that. - Yep. - No, he wore a helmet on the field. - Awesome. - Are you still playing with him in FIFA? - Okay. - But I'm gonna take Manuel Naur. - That's probably not how you say his name. - Naur. - I'm thinking it's like Naur. - Naur. - Probably. - I'm taking Manuel Naur. - I think I beat you. - I don't think you know. - I think my team's better. - I think I dog walked you. - I mean, I don't know what else to say. - All right, let's ask Chachi Petita and the pod. Let's list our teams. - Okay. - I typed both our teams into Chachi Petita. Let's see which team is better. - Let's see who wins. Come on. - Give it to me. - The goalkeeper. - The position by position. - Oh, really? - The goalkeeper. Your goalkeeper, your goalkeeper's better. - Yes! - New air. - And you call him the goat. - Defender. - Cafou is better. - Mm. - Midfielder. Zidane versus Ronaldinho. Zidane is better. - I told you he was better, but preference wise, I want to Ronaldinho. He's a better fit. - Forward, Ronaldo and his Aria versus Henry. - Yeah, you won. - I won. Forward, Ibrahimovish versus Rooney. Ibrahimovic. Team one wins. - Damn it. - I'm team one. - I think collectively my team plays better together now. - You have never watched a single match of soccer besides the World Cup. - That's a better fit. - Okay. Yeah, I just dog walked you. I got, no, I didn't dog walk you. The final score, team one is 9.6 out of 10, team two is 9.3. - Okay. - Team one wins about six out of 10 games. - Okay, I'll take that. - I just got the slight edge there. - Hey, onto our member shout outs.
