The podcast contrasts the ingredients in popular American foods like McDonald’s fries, Heinz ketchup, and Quaker oatmeal with their European counterparts, revealing that U.S. versions contain significantly more artificial additives, high-fructose corn syrup, and processed ingredients, while European versions are simpler and more natural. Despite being marketed as healthy, the American products are criticized for their unhealthy composition. The discussion expands into broader topics, including the financial advantages linked to height, the CIA’s secret operations (like Project Acoustic Kitty), and Hollywood’s upcoming film projects such as *The Grinch*, *Rush Hour 4*, and *The Goonies 2*. A lighthearted sibling rivalry series (“You vs. Me”) is also featured, where Brian wins on academic performance and style, while Anthony excels in hot dog eating and basketball. The episode ends with a member shout-out list and a humorous reflection on personal habits, such as poor apartment cleanliness and the "halo effect" in professional settings. Overall, the segment blends food criticism, pop culture, and personal anecdotes into an engaging, satirical exploration of everyday life and media.
- Let's compare the ingredients in the same food sold in America compared to Europe. I'm sure America's bad. - Yeah, it's really bad. Okay, the first one is gonna be McDonald's French fries. - McDonald's fries, am I guessing anything or are you just telling me? - I'm gonna tell you the list of ingredients in USA compared to Europe. - Okay, let's tell it. USA, potatoes, vegetable oil, canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrated soybean oil, natural beef flavor. - Don't know what that means. - I don't know what that means either. - Dextrose sodium acid, five phosphate, salt, fried and vegetable oil blended with citric acid and dimethopolicyxoxane. - A bunch of stuff that you can't pronounce. I think that's 11 or 12 ingredients. - That's just to make an McDonald's French fry. - I mean, yeah, there's a lot of fake stuff in there. - In Europe, it's potatoes, vegetable oil, dextrose, fried and non-hydronated vegetable oil, and salt is added in after cooking. - I still don't know what the third ingredient is, but it's better than America who has 11 or 12. - Yeah, it sounds ridiculous. - It's still unhealthy, but it's not as unhealthy as the USA. - Yeah, I'm sure it's not good for you, but America is very not good for you. - You just said exactly what I just said. - Precisely. - The next food we're gonna look at is Heinz ketchup, your favorite. - I hate ketchup, I'm actually afraid of it. - Okay, in USA, it's tomato concentrate, distilled vinegar, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, spice, onion powder, and natural flavoring. - So that high fructose corn syrup and regular corn syrup. - It's not bad enough. - A couple of that. Double down on the corn syrup. - That sounds disgusting. - In Europe, it's only tomatoes, spirit vinegar, salt, spice, and herb extracts, and spice. - I'm not a vinegar fan. I think that's why I don't like ketchup. - It's also in barbecue sauce. - I know, and I love barbecue sauce. - So you love vinegar. - Now, I feel like it's not a texture thing either. I really don't know. - Yeah, you're weirdo. - It seems like Heinz ketchup in the USA is terrible for you, and in Europe, it's not bad. - Sounds horrible for you, I agree. - And the last one is Quakers oatmeal. - In the USA, I'm just gonna pop up a list of the ingredients because it's like a full page long of ingredients. - I eat this or used to eat it every single morning. - It's advertised as healthy. - Yeah, I thought oatmeal was healthy, but there's so much sugar and everything else. - In Europe, it's Quaker whole grain rolled oats, sugar, freeze-dried raspberry pieces, freeze-dried strawberry pieces, and natural flavoring. - I'm more of an apple cinnamon, brown sugar cinnamon guy. - Still, I'm sure it just changes the freeze-dried fruits. - In the USA, it's literally quadrupled to five times that list of ingredients. - It's horrible, I used to eat it every single morning 'cause I thought it was good. I was like, this is healthy, Quaker, oatmeal. - Even the good things for you in the USA seem to be not good. - To be fair, when you do have like the more simplified version, the European version, it tastes horrible. - Does it taste horrible? - Healthy stuff is usually not that good tasting. - All right, Zach said it, that's a statement. - At least oatmeal, something so bland like that. - I don't need oatmeal. I'm all fun oatmeal. - You ever do overnight oats? - I've only done oatmeal once, and it was on my Instagram channel with my girlfriend 'cause she made me try it. - Overnight oats, not good, don't you? - On our friend Chris made it for us, he made it horrible. - You like soaked milk in dried oats, and then you go overnight, and then you eat it in the morning. - You're still on the overnight oats thing? - Yeah, I am. 'Cause I think a lot of people prefer that, but it's not as dessert tasting as just - Do you prefer overnight oats over regular oatmeal? - I think a lot of people eat them 'cause they know they could get the nutrition while also having something that's a little bit more dessert-like. - Moving on, welcome back to the podcast. - Welcome back to the podcast, this podcast 214. - Podcast 214. - I think we've just gone through our most busy time ever. - Yeah, and mine's not done because I'm going to Las Vegas next week. Yours is done 'cause you're going to vacate. - We at least got a break. - We got a week break, yeah. - I mean, tip break. - My mom's gonna listen to this, I'm sure. - I don't really wanna go to Myrtle Beach. - Oh, you're gonna Myrtle Beach? - Myrtle Beach this week, and with my cousins, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of trying. - I'm gonna go to Myrtle Beach. - I feel like once I'm there, it's gonna be fun and great, but I don't know. - It's a vacation. - It's a vacation. - I'm gonna be doing work while there. We're behind, we're on behind all that stuff. Busiest two weeks, we went to Lake Tahoe, Travis Matthew. We went to the home run derby, we went to four days of fanatics fest, and then we went to St. Andrews and Scotland with Travis Matthew. - The biggest thing for this podcast is St. Andrews. We got the hats on, I'm wearing the Old Course hats, I'm wearing the St. Andrews hat. So shout out to Travis Matthew. If you don't know what Travis Matthew is, it's a big clothing brand, mainly in the golf world, but they also have some regular day and regular clothing, which My Girlfriend has some, your Girlfriend has some now. My Girlfriend loves it. - Yeah, the quenches. - The quenches. - Some of the pants, the little two piece fits. - It's great. - They go together? - The hats are awesome, so shout out to Travis Matthew. They had us out there. It was a great time. - Where does St. Andrews slash Scotland rank in terms of our work trips that we've taken? - I feel like it was top three for me. - Yeah, definitely top three. - Would you put the Ireland trip over or under it? - I think I would put the Ireland trip over it, just because you're there for longer. The Scotland trip we were only there for like three days, so I think that the length of the trip definitely plays a part. - That's fair. The history of St. Andrews now I'm playing on the old course was unlike anything else. - The 16, 17, 18 was the coolest three-hole stretch I've ever played in golf. - Wow. - In my opinion. - That's high praise. - Do you not agree? - I think it was the coolest, at least most like historic. - Where do you put St. Andrews, the old course, in your top whatever? - Top 10? - Top 10? - Not top five. I mean, it's probably top, it's five, six, seven. - I'm not sure. - I'm not sure. - And then I want to tell the people that we had coming up next. - Oh, so we're over St. Andrews already. - I'm over St. Andrews, I'm moving, all right. We have a trip and two weeks ago to the FedEx, St. Jude Golf Tournament. It's the first of three play-off rounds. We'll be there with golf digest. - Yeah, but then. - And then I'm just gonna try and get my house in order. Just everything. - Like your physical house? - Like, yeah. I need to clean my apartments. - Why do you have to type the people there? - Well, I was gonna say there's been a lot of chaos. - I'm just trying to share the personal side that I like. - Yeah, yeah. - I like to balance things out a bit. - Yeah. - Go on with your house. What else do you need in your house? - A trash can. - You need a trash can. You have not bought a trash can. - He's been living in his apartment for what, seven months now? - Yeah, about seven months. - He doesn't have a trash can. - My whole sophomore year of college, we didn't have a trash can in our house. - Thank you. - You wanna take that back or no? - I do wanna take that back. - That's a 29 year old man living on his own. - You just hang the bag on some? - No. - He puts it on the ground. - That's what? - It's on the ground. - Well, I have like a cardboard box. - As of like three weeks ago. - No, it depends. I always have a cardboard box. - That's all I can. - You think I just put trash on the ground? - You do, I've seen it. - That's great. - Multiple times. - Like straight up back. - In the bag, yeah. - Yeah, that's not better. - In the bag. - In the bag. - On the ground. - Yeah. - All right. - Maybe on top of some cardboard. Sometimes not. - Definitely not. - That's weird, but. - It's not weird. It's a. - You wanna get Zach angry right now? - What? - It's not that messy anymore. - Just cleaned it. - Just cleaned it. - In Jersey City. - Jerry City. - Wasn't that bad when I was there. - Wasn't that bad? And that's when it was dirty. And I just cleaned it. - It was bad when we were affinatics. He wasn't there when we were affinatics. - Yeah, but I organized things right now. - It wasn't affinatics. - All right, come down. Jesus Christ. - You're just gonna make me angry. - It was a joke. - No, I'm defining myself. - A lot. - Just the people are gonna think and know that. - It was a joke. My gosh. - I'm causing a bald bed down. - I'm playing into it, Brian. - It was trash can. - It was fine, it's funny. - It was not dirty, it was messy. - Yeah. - It was extremely messy, not dirty. - I also don't know how to clean things. I just organize things. I put things in piles and I consider it cleaned. - So you're gonna say that your apartment was clean when you just said you don't know how to clean things. - It's organized, so it's dirty. - I mean, probably. - It's filthy. - We're going around the circles here. You just said it wasn't dirty. - There's been dishes in a sink for probably four months. It's more like glasses. - They're soaking. - Yeah, they aren't, they aren't soaked. - They're gonna soak. - It's disgusting. - It's really bad. - Oh, god. - It's still water in the apartment. - It wasn't bad when I was there. - I know. - Yeah. - It was bad when I was there. - All right, let's move on. - You brought up your apartment, so I don't wanna hear if I'm a little over it. - But I wanted to talk about St. Andrews. Shout out to the St. Andrews. We met a lot of great people. - Yeah. - Golden Tate, Andrew Santino, Brian Bumgarner. - We took the shuttle with Bumgarner in the morning who's Kevin from the office. - Yeah, you did not have a fun time on that trip. - To the airport, yeah. - To the airport. - Yes, that was like the trip was phenomenal. - I don't know what you're talking about. - The trip to the airport. - What else do you wanna say about you? - Nothing, that's it, that's it. - I shot in '83. I'm a 12.9 handicap now, I'm excited. It's turning into a golf podcast now. - I'm gonna turn it back into a movie podcast. - Okay. - 'Cause last time with sports, we're gonna go into movies. - All right. - Here's everything you need to know about the MCU's next era. - Okay. - Talk to me. - It's a self that went on to Comic Con and Marvel announced a bunch of things about the future of their universe. - All right, let me hear it. - Do you know who the new Ghost Rider is? - I do, it's gonna be Ryan Gosling. - Ryan Gosling is officially the newest Ghost Rider. - Ghost Rider. - Ryan Gosling is officially the new. - A ghost Rider is somebody that writes for like J.Z. You're like a rapper or something. - Drake. - Yeah. - 'Cause we all know he doesn't write his own lyrics. - Ghost Rider is different. - Ryan Gosling is officially the Ghost Rider. - Rider. (laughing) - The new Ghost Rider. - He rides a motorcycle. He doesn't write a motorcycle. - Ryan Gosling is officially the new Ghost Rider. - Yeah, you wanna try it again? - Yes, I'm excited about it. - This movie will come out in 2028 and it's directed by Sean Levy. - I think it's the best casting that possibly could have gotten. - Nicholas Cage was kind of awesome. - Well compared to Nicholas Cage's now spider noir, so it's a little different. - It is still in the universe, might bring him back. - I don't like how they do that. They just shuffle people in and out. - Yeah, a little bit. - I don't think it happens as often as we think, but probably money problems. - David Johnson is the new Black Panther. - I saw him come out of Comic-Con too. That's very, he seems like he's gonna play the part well. - He will play T-Challa's son. - Yeah. - Is that how you say it? - I think so. - T-Challa. - I think it's T-Calla. - T-Calla, he will be totally wrong. - He will play T-Calla's son. - Okay, the Black Panther. - And Black Panther 3 is set to release to December 15, 2028. - I'm happy that that series is not gonna die. - I am very happy about it too. Because the second one was fantastic.
the second one might have been better than the first. - The Wristler would have been so disappointed. - He would have been very sad. - They should cast the Wristler, whatever. - They should. - Marvel has two untitled movies set for 2029. - They do. - So I don't think they've announced it. Apparently they have their plan for movies through 2042. - There's rumors, I have the rumors to wanna hear them. - We can hear them next to the next segment. - All right, sure. - Unless you wanna do 'em now. - The two movies that are untitled that are gonna release later in a few years by Marvel, they could be fantastic for two, Deadpool four, or young Avengers. - Young Avengers. - Yeah, I would rather see Deadpool four and fantastic for two, because young Avengers, I feel like whenever they try to do the young versions of things, it doesn't work. - Teen Titans. - Young Shelton. - Young Shelton. - Shelton, Shelton. - Young Shelton. - Shelton, yeah. - I don't like the Big Bang Theory anyways. - They're recap. - That show sucks. - It does. - What? - It's so stupid. - You like the Big Bang Theory? - I like that when I was younger. - I feel like there's an audience for it. - Yeah, nerds, lots of it. - Nerds, lots, yes, I don't even care. - Okay, that hurts a little bit. What was that time you watched it? - I haven't watched it in a long time. - Exactly. - Growing up as a kid, I love that show. - 'Cause you're not a nerd anymore. - Recasting of X-Men. - Killing, it's a good show. - Share, they're recasting X-Men for a brand new movie. - That's exciting. - Whole new cast. - So I never really watched the X-Men movies, but I know about them, and I kind of want to go back because I've seen scenes on TikTok. It looks like they're great movies. - I'm a big fan of Logan. - Yes, Logan. Logan's a good, that's a great movie. - Deadpool series of movies, with Deadpool and Wolverine. - Yeah. - Logan was a good movie to start that, though. - Nova is officially becoming a movie, and it's rumored to be Glen Powell. - Oh, I, not gonna lie, I thought Nova would be a girl. - I think Nova is like a shooting star. - Oh, supernova. - I think so, yeah. - Well, that's what a super-shooting star is. It's a supernova. - I thought supernova was a stage of a star. - We both could be wrong here. I have no idea. - I just looked up the supernova. - No, no, no. I think a supernova is when a star gets to a certain size. Now it's super, like if it's super big. - Yeah, that's what I'm saying, like the age of a star. - That's what a star in size. - It's an explosion of a star. - AKA blush or close. - There you go. - So yeah, supernova or Nova, whatever. He's seen school, lover. - Glen Powell, Glen Powell is a good guy to bring into the Marvel universe. - Yeah, I feel like he fits it, especially this hero from what I've seen in pictures. - Nova. Avengers Endgame will be re-released with new footage to connect it to Doomsday. So the last Avengers is getting re-released. - Yes, I think they're changing the intro, the ending and adding like six minutes of footage in to connect it to Doomsday. - I don't like that. - Why not? Because I feel like you can't go back and change a movie. I feel like it's connecting the universe, so they had this idea to go Doomsday and now they want to connect it all. - Yeah, but it should have been connected prior. - Right, like there's no other movies that have been changed, you can't change a movie. - If you have your movie set and release through 2042 that you know are gonna come out, then I kind of agree with you. - Yeah, well, I also don't think that you should go back and change a movie. - But it's like you're alternate ending. - Well, come on. Just make the damn movie. - All right, that's fair. - Fine. - And the last one is not as exciting as that one, but Haley Atwell will return us Peggy Carter. - I don't know what that means. - Peggy Carter is like, I think like an army type woman superhero. - Yeah, I'm not, I'm not, I just don't know who that is. - Well, she's gonna be in the next Avengers apparently. - Oh, she's Steve Rogers' wife. - Oh. - Who's Steve Rogers? - Steve Rogers, Captain America. - Nice, played by Chris Evans. - Nice. - That's go. - He's improving. I'm excited for like, probably half of those things. - Ghost Rider? - Ghost Rider, I'm excited about. - How do you feel? Do you think it's going bad? - What? - You seem quiet over there. - I don't know, I'm, I'm excited for Ghost Rider. (laughing) - That's it. - Ghost Rider would be cool. - Everything else is. - Everything else is a little tired, and I'm good. - I have another movie topic about a movie that's already out actually. - Put the hat up back on. - Why don't you hit me with it? - It's about the Odyssey. - Her day was very loud. - I heard it was great. - Oh yes, but I heard like the noises and like a lot of Christopher Nolan films was very loud. - Have you seen the Christopher Nolan memes? - No. - Oh my God, they're so funny. - What is it? - You know all the actors talk about like, their experience after the movie and Christopher Nolan, they're like, yeah, he was like directing the scene, and it's like, oh, like he was just so into it and everything. - Okay. - You haven't seen like the skits people are making, like pretending they're Christopher Nolan. - No. - And it's like, yeah, it's like this one. I watched it this way, he was like, yeah. So we were following out the beach, and he actually picked up a 400 pound iMac camera. And he was like, he started running along the beach and he was like, you start to hear a clacking in the movie. He was like, that's actually his balls banging against his thigh. He's like, and that's in the movie. - I have seen actors glazed Christopher Nolan, where they're like, they allow him to, they're like, oh my, he just allows, like me, I've been chasing this my whole career. - Of like being allowed to do anything on the screen. - Like just shut up. - Do actors think they're better than us? - Yes, some of them. - I think a lot of actors, I think we haven't met a ton of actors, but I do feel like they have a certain entitlement that, like if they feel like their work is really good, like they're like really cocky and proud of it. - I hate to say it. - No, I actually do hate to say it. - Don't say it. - What? - Don't say it. - Do you know what I'm gonna say? - Don't say it. - I'm not gonna tell you. - No, you have to tell me. - No. - You say it first. - You don't know what I'm gonna say. - No, I don't wanna say it. - Say it. - Brian started this sentence. - I'm not gonna say it. - You said you know what I'm gonna say. - No, no, I hate to say it. - What am I gonna say? - I think you're gonna say you don't like someone that we met. - That's not what I'm gonna say. - Okay. - Why would I say that? - I gotta be crazy to say on camera. That's why I don't wanna say it. - Because you were telling me in the room at the hotel. - Here he goes. - On whatever trip. - Can you say it, Brian, I wanna say it, I hate to say it, but some people that are very good at golf give me that vibe too. - Who? - Oh. - I'm not gonna say who. - That's just not fun then. - Well, I feel like PGA tour players can feel like that. - PGA tour players are different though, I'm saying influencers. - Yeah. - Maybe not influencers, but maybe just people that are very, just in general. People that are very good at golf give me a very, like a little bit of an entitlement attitude. - I feel like a cocky. - Full of themselves. - It's a full of themselves is probably a step further than I would say. - I think that the same thing as cocky. - I think cocky is like, you know you're good versus like, what's that word you just said? - Pretentious. - Full of yourself is like, you know who you are, like you know what I'm saying? - Yeah, versus cocky is like confident in your skills. Is full of themselves the same as cocky, yes, full of themselves and cocky mean almost the same thing. - Almost though. It's a little different. - Different connotation. - I just feel like cocky is like, you're confident in your skills, like you can be like a trash talker and cocky. - No, but that's different than being full of yourself and think like you're better than everyone else. - That's cocky. - I'm talking like outside the course too, where it's like if you're so good at golf, like you feel like you're beyond the game and then he's like at the bar and he's like, I know what you mean. - Yeah, versus like, like you could be cocky on the golf course. - No, that's confident. - I'm confident. - Cocky is different. Cocky means you rub it in people's faces. - Okay. - I like cocky. - That's a better word for it. - My saying is there's a fine line between confident and cocky. - Okay. - That's how you're saying. - Well, I'm saying that. - I'm just saying that did a thing. - I don't know. Maybe it's mine. - I think you came up with it. - I made it up that. - Man, I know what we were talking about. - You were going to bring up a topic. - Oh, the Odyssey. - Yeah. - Talking about actors. - Oh god. - The Odyssey. - Oh, we got there. - Yeah, actors are cocky. That's what we were saying. - Hit me with the brine. - The Odyssey is a remake of the SpongeBob movie. - It is. - Not really, but like. - No, it is. - Bear with me here. - I completely get it. - The first thing is that Odysseus leaves to fight King Aga Memnon's war. Do you know the equivalent in the SpongeBob movie? - Doesn't he go to fight King Neptune's war? - So he's, so SpongeBob leaves to retrieve King Neptune's crown. - Cue the memes. - Throwing the comments. - The gif. - Everyone loves to call me King Neptune. - Very funny and original. - So they basically leave to do, to set out to do the same thing. - Yes, completely. And it's about the journey. - Yeah, it's about the journey. Odysseus fights against the Cyclops. Do you know the equivalent in SpongeBob? - That's the little cowboy ranger guy. - No. - No, no, no, no, no. - Is it the last boss? What's it called? Cuefe Guberrock when he does that? - Pretty sure. - No, that's just planking with the chum bucket hat. - Wow. - No, no, no, you're talking about the same thing. - It's not the cowboy guy? - No. - Oh, it's the land down under when they go down. - It's the guy in the suit of SpongeBob. - It's the guy in the suit out out of the ocean. - That's right. - We're going to tell you guys this, so nice. SpongeBob also fights a Cyclops in a form of a human in a diving outfit, diving suit, 'cause it has one eye. - Yeah. - He's huge. He's bigger than everyone. - That makes more sense. - So he fights a Cyclops. Odysseus is distracted by the lotus flower on his track. - The lotus flower is what? - It's what distracts him. - Okay. - So do you know the, it distracts him from the mission. - Is it jellyfish or a crabby patty? - Do you know the equivalent in SpongeBob? - Jellyfish or a crabby patty? - Yes. - Is it the ice cream? - It is the ice cream, I know. - SpongeBob is distracted by the goofy, goober ice cream sundays. So he gets distracted from his mission. He gets pulled in and he can't go on with his mission. - It's just checking out so far. - There's some character parallels. So King Neptune is King Agamemnon or Poseidon. - Okay. - Princess Mindy is Athena, that makes sense. - And the ice cream granny is the sirens. She scares me. - Because she gets some confused stuff like that. - She's a scary character. - And then the most direct reference between the two wins is that there's a bag of wins in both movies. - Oh, there is. - There is. - So both characters, SpongeBob and Odysseus open the bag of wins way too early and end up stranded, lost on their mission. - This is why this SpongeBob movie is the greatest animated movie of all time. - Well, surf something. But SpongeBob is a close second. - It's because it's the greatest story of all time being retold. It's an allegory. - So when does the hassle?
off come into play in the others. I'm not really sure. So what, so did SpongeBob copy the Odyssey or did the Odyssey copy SpongeBob? SpongeBob copied the Odyssey. But then the Odyssey copied SpongeBob again, again, again, it came back. So the Odyssey did copy SpongeBob. They took, I'm sure Christopher Nolan took notes from SpongeBob and applied them to his movie. The movie copied the SpongeBob movie. Like, I think David Hasselhoff's in the new one. Like the Odyssey, the new movie that Christopher Nolan just came out with. David Hasselhoff is in it. No, like an equivalent. Oh, I know what he is. What? He's the Trojan horse. Yeah. I didn't watch the movies. I don't know. Or I don't know anything about it. The Trojan horse? I know the SpongeBob movie. That's it. Yeah. It was the SpongeBob movie. Yeah. I think David Hasselhoff might, David Hasselhoff might be the equivalent of the Trojan horse. That's when everyone gets inside the horse. Yeah. Yeah. But they stand, they get on, they don't get in David Hasselhoff. That would be weird. They went up his butt. They kind of did get close to the cheeks. Okay. Oh, man. Do you want it? Should I leave movies and then come back? Because I have another movie topic, but I don't know if you want to talk about it. Leave it. Leave it. Leave it. Leave it. Leave it. Leave it. Leave it. Leave it. We're going to talk about movies after I talk about my topic. If you go to your topic. Did you know taller people make more money than shorter people? Do they really? Studies have shown that each inch of height correlates to $789 more year in earnings. On average? On average right now. But you're 6'1. I'm 6'4. So by that math, I should make roughly $2,367 more dollars a year than you. Well, we make the same exact money. So that's flawed. It is flawed. But across all different industries and different work, this has remained consistent. It's impressive. We also have a friend that's 5'6. Oh, James Lee. Oh, James Lee. I would make $7,890 more a year than him. Wow. Then James. Because I'm 10 inches taller than him. Damn. Okay. And that's every single year. So over the course of our lives, our 40 year work career. Yeah. I would make hundreds of thousands of dollars more than him just because he's shorter. I don't think that that makes sense at all. Is this for women too? I think it's for women, but I want to say it's like a male's height doesn't compare to a woman's height. Yeah. So it's only the women's scale. Yes. There's a woman's scale at male scale. Yeah. That makes sense. That doesn't make sense. That doesn't make any sense. It's caused by something. It's a blank effect. Do you want to guess what it is? Butterfly effect. Oh, it's a snowball effect. What do angels have? Wing effects. No, above them. A halo effect. It causes something called the halo effect. Do you want to guess what that is? I'm just going to keep you going. I'm not really sure what that is. Do I need to guess? You don't have to. Want me to guess? You could try and guess. It's something about them being closer to the angels because they're taller. No, that's a great guess though. It is a good guess. It's a positive trait in one area like physical attractiveness makes people assume other positive traits exist like intelligence or kindness. So just because someone's tall and you admire tall people, you might think that they're smart, funny, and all these different types of things. I don't admire tall people. Okay, but like I said, you see a beautiful woman. Yeah. Like you might think she's funnier just because she's beautiful and you admire that. Don't do that either. No, that's the halo effect on telling you the reason why I don't follow the halo effect. But I agree that most some people probably do think that way. A lot of bosses do it and they look down at their people and they say, you know what? You're going to get promoted because you're tall and I believe in you. Really? That's what's happening. $789 more per year. I feel like this is false, but it seems like it's true based on stats. No, there's been a lot of studies to support it and behind it and it's true. So six inches of height only can cause you $100,000 a year over a 40-year work career. There's nothing you can do about your height. So it sucks to be a short king. Unless you're messy, you could like stretch yourself. I don't think he's human growth hormone, so he's still short. Yeah, now he is. So I don't know what it was. Do you remember we talked about it? Yeah, I know. Jesus was a short king. Jesus was almost a five seven. We did it on a podcast, I forget. He's probably like the average height for where he was in that time. He was five foot one. Oh, goodness. No, the Bible does not state how tall. This is supposed to be your job. The Bible says not state how tall Jesus was. His historians aside, but historians and scientists estimate he was about five foot one to five foot five. There's no way he was five on. He'd be surprised. Experts also believe he weighed around one 10 to 140. People were there wasn't much to eat. He ate himself. No, no, he didn't. It was a joke. I know. Jesus Christ. The body and blood of Christ. He's Christ. I'm not taking it serious. I'm laughing along with you. You're such a hostile environment today. All right, come on. Let's talk about Jesus and being short. Let's talk about the CIA. Okay. These are four secrets about the CIA that you did not know. I'm sure I knew a few of them. I'm sure you did it. Okay. The first one is that there's actually a Starbucks inside the CIA headquarters, but they aren't allowed to ask anyone's names to put on the drinks. Oh, because it's got to be all secretive because you can't know people that work at the CIA's names if you work there. CIA's different than the FBI. Yeah. Just stating a fact. Which one has secret agents? CIA. I'm pretty sure they both do. Okay. They have federal agents in the FBI, the federal bureau of investigation. Yeah. What does CIA stand for? The central. No. Central intelligence agent. Yeah, yeah. What does FBI stand for? Federal Bureau of investigation. What does it actually stand for? Female body inspector. That's what I thought that right. I just call your records. What is it? It's what I was going for. I know what it was. Isn't it from the office? No. Yes, no. No, it's not. Oh, it might also be. It might also be, but is it. He throws it out. Yes. He throws it out the window. I knew it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Or maybe, no, that's the CD. Whatever. Moving off. Okay, well, they can't ask for the drinks. The names on the drinks. Okay. No, wait. He gives them the cop Mark Wahlberg in the seat. And he's like, oh, I got you. This is a gift. He's like, yeah, he's like, he looks at you. He's like, oh, that's funny. He's like, let me see it. And he's just like, automatically get thrown out. We don't have a camera. Yeah. We could see that. I thought they made a very funny motion. The next one in the 1960s, the CIA spent $28 million on project acoustic kitty. Do you know what that is? I'm no. Do you want to take a guess or no? I was going to say it's like trying to hunt down some woman. What? What? I was told to speak. Why did you say that? I was told to speak my thoughts on cat. Because of Kitty. Explain. No. You said you understand. You said you want to speak your thoughts. PG podcast, Brian. What are you doing? You're the one. You know, that's I didn't want to say it, but you told me I gotta. Okay. It's myself more. So what do you mean by that? It refer. I don't know. I don't want to say it. Okay. Let's move on. Move on. Project acoustic kitty, which is not to search for a woman. It's which released cats with tiny microphones in their ears to spy on people in public. Actual cats? This is a real thing they did in the 1960s. This reminds me of birds aren't real. Yeah. Maybe birds are real, but they have microphones on them. Kitties are spying on us. Oh, that sounds Why do you got to make everything weird? I don't know. I don't like the way you said that. It's brought. It's acoustic kitty. I know like kitty like Kittin, but it sound like you said children are spying on you. The next one is in the Vietnam war. The CIA launched Operation Wondering Soul. I think Wondering Soul was tracking down someone who was traveling and escaping crimes across the world. No, what a chat TFT answer. I don't know. This is where they played scary ghost noises in the jungle to squit to scare away Vietnam soldiers. Wondering Soul. Wondering Soul. I feel like that name doesn't make sense. Wondering Soul because it's ghost noises. The soul of a ghost. Oh, yeah, there you go. And the last one, the CIA's first tweet had a sense of humor. Do you want to guess what they tweeted? No. Okay. This is a US-based company. US-based company. They must have said, "Ha ha ha ha." That was a joke. Was that knock-knock joke? It wasn't a knock-knock joke. Was it? Oh, I wonder who you're sending this to. Do you want me to just tell you? Yeah. They tweeted, "We can neither confirm nor deny that this is our first tweet." Oh. Because that's what they always say in interviews and stuff like that. What do you mean? Oh. Kind of doesn't know what the CIA is. Got to catch on. I feel like I'm, you know who John Kiriaku is? No. He's the guy that the old CIA guy. You've seen him on all the podcasts. You've seen his clips. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's talking about how the camera is all watched all the time. That guy's hilarious. The cameras are watching this. There's a guy. Wondering, Kiri. Daniel Brunner. Brunner, Brunner, that wants to come on our podcast. He's a former FBI agent. What? Yeah. And he used to work in, I think, California. We just have to find time. It's probably going to be virtual unless we go there or until he comes to New York. We should wait and do it with them in person. Yeah, I would love to. All those interviews do so good. I imagine the questions we're going to ask him. I mean, I told them and he said, yeah, write these criminals. Without knowing who those things are. Oh, oh, Pablo Escobal. I just want to hear his stories. Yeah. Look at that. I'm previewing. Get the hype up. Drive up engage. Oh, some of them in law. Let's go back to movies. I apologize for this podcast being so hectic, everyone. They're just what it is. That's what we do. It is what it is. It's going to be edited. It's going to be totally fine. Everything's going to be fine. Here are nine movies you had no idea Hollywood is making. Talk to me. First one is 24 Jump Street. What happened to 23 Jump Street? I think they must have skipped it. No, it came out. Did 23 Jump Street come out? I think 23 came out. Nope, didn't come out. I think they're skipping the number 23, Brian. I don't have an answer for it. It's very weird, but they may return for another movie. It's rumored. So maybe they'll go back to 23. The Grinch too. See, this is exciting. Is it with Jim Carrey? Jim Carrey and Ron Howard are in talks to return. Ron Howard, the producer. Jim Carrey, the actor. I would be so freaking ecstatic if If this happened. - Do you think it would ruin it, though? So I thought that Jim Carrey said that he was
never going to do another one, because he thinks it may ruin it. - I feel like when you have something, like they should never come out with an elf too. - Oh, maybe Will Ferrell said that. - Oh. - That's what Will Ferrell said. - Your right. - But the Grinch too, I feel like Jim Carrey might be able to pull off. - Dude, I would love that, it would be awesome. - Rush hour four. - I haven't seen a single rush hour. - They are hysterical, you would love them. Very kind of like Austin Powers feeling. - Yeah, I got to get on that. - Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan both expected back, think Jackie Chan's like 80 years old. - Yeah, he could still do it though. - Men in black five. - This one I would be very excited for because men in black is in my top five franchises of all time. - I need to go back and rewatch it. - It's so rewatchable, it's so good. Sony hired a writer for it, but Will Smith is not confirmed yet. - You need Will Smith back. - If he's not in it, I feel like they should cut the product. - No, I mean, they did one with Chris Hemsworth and a woman I forgot her name, she's a great actress, but it was a good one. - Charlize Theron. - No, it's not it. - The Matrix five. Apparently it's in development. - I have my take on the Matrix. - You don't think it's that good? - It's overrated. - Blue pill or red pill? - I think it's overrated just because the stunts don't look up to date. - No, they don't, so if they come out with the Matrix five, I feel like it could be cool again. - I agree with that. I just watched the first one and I was like, this looks so fake. - You're gonna be so excited for this one. We're getting a modern reboot of Free Willie. - That's very exciting. - The whale. - I know. What other Free Willie my thoughts. - Classic. - What other Free Willie would I be thinking? - I love Willie the whale. - Answer my question. What other Free Willie would I be thinking for that? - No, I know, I'm just saying. - I just have to clarify the well. - I'm just making sure you know. - But what did you think that I thought it was? - That people might not know it's true. - Yes, they do. - The Goonies 2 is set to be remade. - That's exciting. That's Steven Spielberg at that time. - Not remade the sequel. - The Goonies 2 is set to come out. - That's pretty exciting. Isn't that Spielberg? - It's Spielberg and it's 40 years after the release of The Goonies. - It's exciting. I would watch that. - These next two are action-packed and so on. - Wait, hold on, sorry. - Yeah. - Are they gonna get new kids to do it? - I don't know. - I'm just saying a lot if they redid it. - They should bring new kids to like 50-year-old men. - No, I feel like they shouldn't. Even though it would be kind of funny, if they like fast-forward in their lives, they all get back to the baseball field. - It would be kind of fun. I would like that. - Next two are action-packed. Top Gun 3. - Haven't seen a single Top Gun. - I need to watch it. - Oh, I thought you've seen the original but not Maverick. - Haven't seen either. - Oh wow, Brian. - Plains just don't really excite me. - Top Gun Maverick, you will think, is one of the best movies you've ever seen. - All right. - I'll watch it then. - I mean, you have Oceans 14. - I've never seen a single Ocean movie. - That's not as bad. - Not including Free Willy. - I've seen, I've seen Oceans 11, but the original crew is expected back. George Clooney. I believe Brad Pitt. - Good for them. - Other people. - I've never seen it, so I can't really comment on it. - It's a loaded cast. You're gonna love it. - I don't really know. - What's one of you most excited for out of those? - Free Willy, obviously. - I hope they come out with another Veggie Tales. - That would be big. - I love Veggie Tales. Veggie Tales Holloway Edition. - That's good. - It's so good. - It's good to go to Paris. - It's also a good one. - Rugrats go to Paris. - Tommy Pickles. - It should have been Rugrats go to Vegas. - They should do the adult version now, and now they go to Vegas. - It should. - And they just-- - It'd be like, okay, then. ♪ And grown up, I'm feeling ♪ ♪ I'm feeling ♪ - That's the newest, right?
