211 - Bigfoot Is the LEAST Scary Thing Hiding in the Woods
122m 26s
This episode blends practical offers with deep storytelling, starting with TXU Energy’s innovative Free Nights and Cool Summer plan that gives Texans free nights all year and a 25% summer savings bonus, appealing to real energy usage patterns. It then shifts to a paranormal narrative centered on the "Glimmer Man," a mysterious, translucent humanoid figure reported by people across the U.S. and beyond. These sightings are often linked to moments of stillness—like walking dogs at night or hunting—where individuals notice odd, non-harmful phenomena. The podcast compiles real stories from hunters, travelers, and locals, describing encounters with small, furry figures that resemble Native American folklore or fey beings. One key story involves a Texas hunter who sees tiny, intelligent figures with tools and no fear, leading to a discussion of cultural ties to duendes in South America. The show explores theories ranging from extraterrestrial camouflage to time travelers or nature spirits, emphasizing how these experiences are shared in a safe, open environment. The narrative culminates in the idea that such sightings reflect a deeper human connection to the unknown, especially in natural settings. The episode also includes a segment on consumer products like Ultra nootropic pouches and Ridge’s travel power bank, all promoted with the show’s branding. Ultimately, it presents a mix of entertainment, personal stories, and cultural inquiry into the unexplained.

Home of the save. For more than a decade, these two-season hunters have been collecting stories
that people bring back from the wilderness. Some were stalked by dangerous animals. Others swear
that they came face-to-face with Bigfoot, skinwalkers, and things with names that sound
harmless. Gnomes, elves, fairies. But the other stories they brought us aren't fairy tales.
Tonight, they tell us the encounters they still can't explain. And after hearing them,
you'll probably never feel alone in the woods ever again. All this and much more,
this week's episode of Ninjas Are Butterflies. This podcast is brought to you in power by
Sunday Cool. Watch this or listen.
I'm not going to be, I'm going to be completely honest, guys. We almost canceled this podcast
because of Dolly. Okay. Dolly's, Dolly's passing. And I feel like you guys would have understood.
We completely understand. Are you kidding? All right. Yeah. I mean, as long as, I mean,
we get it. We'll have a moment of silence for it. Yeah. And Tim Curry.
Oh, no. Dude, that was a rough one, too. Yeah.
It's a bad day. We got headphones if you want headphones. If not, you don't have to wear them.
No, I don't mind. You got a face shield? Yeah.
I'm going to mask up. It's the man of a thousand nicknames, and I've given him most.
Where are some of your favorites? I probably shouldn't say. Okay. That's fair. That's fair.
Big Fizzy started, and it kind of stuck. Big Fizzy?
Big Fizzy. Because he loves, like, fizzy water. Oh.
Yeah. So, I mean, when I say love. A fancy boy water, huh?
Bad. St. Pierre over here. It's like, yeah. It's like water,
next to TV static, and he, like, orders it online.
He used to come into the studio all the time with, like, a different water every time.
I'm like, and then we started calling him. I do, like, a water review, like Dave Portnoy
does with pizza. One sip, everyone knows the rules. That's right.
So, then I started calling him Big Fizzy, and then we started calling his little boy Little Fizzy.
And then it, yeah, it's, but yeah, he's just a man of a thousand nicknames.
That's a good rap name. Big Fizz. Yeah. Lil, Lil Fizz. Lil.
Lil Fizz. P-H-I-Z-Z-Y.
That's right. That's how that's spelled.
Hey, guys. Kyle and Kim here with Expanded Perspectives.
In the building. It's been a long time coming. We met you almost two years ago, right?
Yeah. That's right. Yeah.
That was the time that we met Bigfoot around the campfire with Joel Metamale.
It was an epic night. Epic night.
I took a picture with Tim Albrino, and he had no idea.
Remember when I snuck up to him and I was acting like I was talking to him?
We were like, is that Tim Albrino? Oh, my goodness.
Yeah. I didn't know who he was either when we met him that night.
That first day in the green room. I was like, who's the Indiana Jones guy?
I had no idea. And then it was like six months later, I was doing some research on a story about the Peru face peelers.
Oh, yeah.
And I read his name, and I'm like, holy cow, that's the guy.
I wish I had so many questions I would have had if I knew him.
I know. I was asleep in the green room while he was sitting there.
I was legit out, and he's, I'm like, oh, hey, man.
I guess I should have hung out with Tim.
Timothy Albrino.
My bad.
That's how he was on Rogan.
Rogan, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, no, he's a really cool guy.
Yeah.
Because we started talking about the giants and stuff, because that's kind of how me and
Nate Henry became friends, is we both had a big love for the giant stories.
Because I remember when I first read about those, I was like, dude, what?
Yeah.
I just thought that was a story from the Bible.
I had no idea that all over they'd been finding these things, and for a very long time.
I know.
And you start researching it, and you start looking at it, and you start getting into
the, they have copper crowns they've found.
Yeah.
And they've even found a skull with horns on it.
No way.
Yeah.
It's called the Seder of Pennsylvania or something.
You could probably pull it up.
Yeah, I'm going to need a photo of that.
Yeah.
I'll show you after the show.
Oh, my gosh.
Seder of Pennsylvania.
Yeah, you start looking into it, and they're like all the mounds and stuff.
Yeah, the mounds is crazy.
The quote that he put on Rogan was the Abraham Lincoln quote.
Yeah.
He was talking about Niagara Falls and the mounds of which the giants would stand, or
they're now buried in the mounds.
Yep.
And it's like, what do you mean by that?
Yeah.
And Jamie on Joe Rogan's like, he's probably talking about the, what are they called?
The mammoths.
The mammoths and stuff.
Yeah.
It's just like, Jamie.
Stop it.
Jamie, shut up.
He's a hater.
Jamie, I love you, but stop.
Come on, Jamie.
Yeah, and they find them all over the New England and stuff.
What was it called?
The Seder?
I think it's called the Seder of Pennsylvania or the Satire.
I don't know how you spell it, but.
I don't know how to spell any of the words.
Is it S-A-Y-T?
I don't, just look for a skull with horns on it.
Everybody's spelling right now needs to stop.
You see how I exited out of that conversation really quick, right?
I knew my limit.
Jamie and I aren't saying a word.
We're like, yeah, we know what you're talking about.
And what's cool about-
What's the word?
I don't even know how to spell that.
You can't spell that.
And those giants in some of those mounds, they'll find a giant, but they'll have like
two or three normal size human with them.
So it's like, but if you think about it, if you're like, you had a party, then you had
a leader.
Of course, the giant would be the king, you know?
Yeah.
And it's just wild to think that.
That's so strange.
And we're not talking ridiculous.
We're not talking like 15 footers or anything like that.
But like 10 feet, nine feet.
That's ridiculous enough.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know if you'd necessarily be the leader.
I mean, I saw Elf.
Buddy the Elf was the tallest guy in North Pole.
Does it say when that was found?
He was nowhere near being the leader.
Dude, that's it.
I believe it was in Pennsylvania.
Very cool.
That is on fire today.
That was found in the, like, they dug that up?
I think so.
Oh, my gosh.
That's terrifying.
Imagine finding that.
What are the Amish doing?
And I think there's more than one they found.
Now, it could be just a deformity, but I don't know.
Yeah.
Well, either way, that deformity is terrifying.
It's a-
Insane deformity.
Listen, we want to be inclusive.
We love everybody, but it's hard to not miss that.
I like your hair.
Yeah, it says that they're horned human skulls from seven-foot-tall skeletons,
but there's like a ton of people debate the legitimacy of it.
But in the 1880s is when they were pulled up in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Dang, this thing does not cut the S's.
Yeah, that sucks.
This is our-
This is our soundboard that we use for when we have more than four people.
Oh, yeah.
And then we don't like it.
We've got to get a new one.
Well, this is the best one for multiple people as far as-
When's the last time we booked?
I literally, probably two weeks ago.
Really?
Yeah, because I'm so sick of this soundboard.
There's got to be a way.
I've watched a podcast the other day that had like 12 people on.
I'm like, there's got to-
Well, they got those big old boards, the sound engineer behind the thing.
We just got Andrew.
Not saying that's bad.
Careful.
Just saying that that would be his full-time job is learning a soundboard.
Yeah.
We have a soundboard guy.
That's all he does.
Turns out I actually have the skill.
I just refuse to do it.
Yeah, don't ever want to bet that.
Oh, my goodness.
I'm glad you guys are here.
Dude, we're pumped.
Yeah, we've had a great time.
We're going to dig into some fun stuff today.
Yeah.
Hopefully, we get some unsettling stories.
Yeah, we're going to rank fast food restaurants.
Oh.
We're going to go over-
Favorite tea time.
Yeah, we're going to-
Kohl's Cash.
Kohl's Cash.
Kohl's Cash.
Big time.
Big time.
A lot of big coupons coming up.
Yes.
Big.
I mean, we got to get ready for Black Friday sales.
Yep.
There actually has to be a conspiracy.
Imagine that's our content.
That'd be so boring.
There definitely is a Kohl's Cash conspiracy.
Yeah.
And if there isn't, we're making one up because it sounds too good.
Dude, last time you made up a conspiracy, it did come out to be true.
Yeah.
Did you ever hear about that?
No, I have no idea.
I had a-
I planned a big conspiracy.
I had a big conspiracy about how pandas are spies because there's these bears that look
like humans were inside of them.
And then I was like, I made it up like it's connected to Panda Express, the people that
own Panda Express that came in Burbank.
And then China leases us the pandas.
Right.
We don't own them.
Yeah, I've heard that.
We pay them to keep them here.
I'm like, we're paying for spies to be in this country.
And I connect all these dots and it was like, whatever.
Two weeks later, China revokes this like 40 years of diplomacy.
Panda diplomacy.
And they say, we're taking our pandas back.
And I'm like, we're on to them.
We called them.
Yeah.
We saw their cards.
They're pulling back.
Andy, the moon has figured us out.
You're on a list.
We had no idea it was this part.
Oh, no.
Speaking of Chinese people.
Yeah.
What's up?
Do you guys want a song?
Yeah.
In Chinese accents?
Absolutely.
I'm down.
What an evening.
What a morning song.
And we-
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
theater playing this is all yeah i love it we gotta fit the vibe it's all to make andrew feel
comfortable yeah like he's at home we did ancestry i am chinese one percent that's enough that's all
we need got that con in you right gives us the pass yep whoa wait a minute all right let's see
if we can do this genre what genre do you guys want oh man i don't we leave it up to the mastros
come on they're from texas we can just throw some out there
A little Tex-Mex.
Chex-Mex?
Tex-Mex.
Tex-Mex.
That's got to be a genre, right?
Tex-Mex?
Yes.
I know it's a genre of food, but I've never heard the music.
Yeah.
It's like Marty Robbins, kind of.
The Tex is tornadoes.
Yeah.
Okay.
Oh, yeah.
Start looking at Doug Somm and a bunch of his stuff.
Yeah.
Okay.
I guess, have you heard that guy on TikTok?
He's from Mexico, but he sings a song, I don't dream.
Dude, he's so good.
I would say that's Tex-Mex.
Kind of, yeah.
I guess so, yeah.
Yeah, like a country Mexican guy.
Dude, his voice is insane.
What fun, his name.
Is he Mexican?
I thought he was part native.
No, he's Mexican.
Yeah.
He moved to the United States like five years ago or something, and he sings like-
It's crazy.
A country angel.
Yeah.
Oh, man.
It's incredible.
Anyways.
Do you know who they're talking about?
I don't either.
What's this guy's name?
I don't know.
After the song, I'll look him up, because he sings a version of Hurt by Johnny Cash.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
It's good.
All right.
All right.
Let's see what we got.
One evening as the sun went down, I went off walking.
I looked up, then I saw him, a creature that was talking.
Come and take my hand.
Let's go away.
Let's go bathe in that fountain.
So I went with him to go for a swim with Bigfoot.
With Bigfoot in the mountain.
It's a life that feels all right, where we both sleep inside bushes, and he tucks me
in at night, where our bellies are always full, and all we do is play, where the tall
ones creep while the campers sleep, and steal all the jerky at the hikers' keep.
With Bigfoot in the mountains.
You never pay for rent.
All the raccoons taste like bacon, and there's no need for a tent, because the hikers, they
are scared of you, and they leave you alone.
Oh, I love it here, where my friends are dear, because I'm never sad.
Don't shed a tear.
So I'm going to stay, have fun and play, with Bigfoot in the mountains.
His name is Fabrizio.
Kiss with the little drummer boy.
Kiss the little drummer boy, yeah.
We thought about putting out a calendar one time.
Remember, we were going to dress up in different outfits, different poses.
Just do all kinds of crazy calendar stuff.
Good times.
The guy's name is Fabrizio.
Huh.
Fabrizio.
Music, Instagram.
Check him out.
Fabrizio.
Wait, maybe he's Italian.
Maybe.
Fabrizio.
Fabrizio.
Hey, it's your lie.
Tell it however you want.
Oh my gosh, I'm going to be sick.
Don't be sick.
He's crushing tiny soda cans.
By the way, every time we throw something in the trash can, you need to add a glass sound.
Every time Lily throws, like just.
Cats.
Are you okay, Josh?
What's going on?
No, I'm not okay.
Listen.
Oh no.
No one knows that you dropped something, you know, water on your laptop this morning.
It's not about that.
The audience doesn't know.
They're not judging.
No one sees you as a figure.
It's not about that, Andy.
Andy.
And what is it about, man?
What are you upset about?
We got to do it.
Don't.
I don't want to.
They're friends of mine.
I know.
I like you guys.
I like Kyle and Cam.
I really do.
But we got to do this.
Let's just get out of the way.
Yeah.
Rip it off like a band-aid, man.
But guys, each week we have to ask a question.
We don't want to do this.
We hate doing this.
Yeah.
Obviously.
But it's not for us.
It's for you guys.
Because we care about you.
And you guys really want our opinion.
They need it.
They don't just want it.
They need it.
They need it.
People's lives are at stake.
Kyle and Cam, people's lives are at stake.
We'll just get on with it.
Just spit it out, man.
Yeah.
Again, this is a yes or no question.
What is it?
Don't rush him.
You can't rush me on this, man.
It's driving me crazy.
What is it?
My palms are literally sweating.
I'm freaking out.
Are your knees weak?
Are your arms heavy?
Stop.
That's not it.
That doesn't even make sense.
It'll be okay.
Just. It's a yes or no question.
You can't elaborate on it.
We don't make the rules.
Today's question is sent in by our viewer.
Should we expand on perspectives?
Yes.
Yes.
My God.
Guys.
I'm going to put water in my laptop.
Today of all days.
I'm sorry.
Get it expanded.
Put an expander.
Do you know when this video is coming out?
I didn't know you were recording.
We are.
Today, obviously, when this comes out, we're going to be recording.
So, it's a day that we were never supposed to forget.
Apparently, someone did.
9-11.
And if we're going to expand on perspectives, what about the perspective of Osama bin Laden?
Should we expand on that?
Should you guys expand on that?
Because he thought he was in the right.
Yeah.
Let's. You know what Cam and Kyle are saying?
They're like, well, let's hear his side first.
Yeah.
Let's. Let's not rush to conclusions, guys.
I hope the troops win.
Both sides.
Yeah.
I support all the. All the troops.
I thought from Texas, they'd be patriots.
That's what I thought.
That's why we brought him here.
Oh, my gosh.
I feel sick.
Don't. I feel sick.
I know, man.
I know.
I don't know if we can. On today of all days. I'm going to never forget this day for the wrong reasons now.
Never forget.
Never forget when Kyle and Cam came on from Ninja's Butterflies.
And they wanted to hear Osama bin Laden's side of the story.
Yep.
I'm still waiting to hear his side.
So, if he can tell me. If he can tell me.
He just admitted he's looking.
Yeah, this is. Osama bin Laden comes talking to me.
You know what I do?
I can't hear you.
Well, thank you.
No, thank you.
No, thank you, Mr. Bin Laden.
I guess I'll turn it here first.
I don't know what to. I don't even know. Never forget these guys.
Welcome to the show.
Did I say Ninja?
I meant Butterfly.
The Butterfly.
You're Snowdown.
One of God's most famous. I said empty your mind.
You were Martial Arts.
Hot Ninja's Attack!
I think everybody has a certain time of the day where their brain just gives up.

Yes.
Here's paycheck.
Here's taxes.
Here's a mortgage.
Good luck, soldier.
Nobody really teaches you how to see the whole picture.
And that is what I've liked about a monarch.
Instead of money being this vague thing floating around in my head, I can actually see my accounts,
spending, investments, and saving goals together.
Which changes the way you think about money.
I think it's a great way to get money.
Especially that thing.

That was so Irish.
I just committed at the end.
I just committed.
Thanks, Ultra.
What are you picking up the knife for?
No joke.
Just protection.
Just, I feel like.
From who?
From Hooper?
I just felt a lot of energy.
I'm lucky.
Andrew, you have one job.
I have one job.
On top of your 1,000 other jobs, you have one job.
One job and I fail at it every freaking week.
He's got a piece of garlic on the end of a stick he hits that with.
Oh.
All right, now the show's started.
Here we go, baby.
Here we go.
I am so scared because when I started talking to these homies about coming on the show,
they were like, we're going to make going in the woods at night terrifying for you.
Literally said that.
I'm already afraid of the woods.
It's nighttime, so yeah, why not add to that fear?
Let's do it.
Yeah.
You guys just came out with a book, too.
Yes, sir.
Glimmer Man.
The Glitter Man.
It's a romance novel, right?
It is.
Two young couples.
Fan fiction.
It's a vampire, right?
Because he glimmers in the sun.
That's what it's about.
Sparkles.
Sparkles.
Okay, got it.
Is this when I am in the light?
No.
So when did this come out?
Like February.
February?
Okay, cool.
So people can get it anywhere?
Yeah, Amazon, anywhere.
Cool, perfect.
We're actually writing a book called The Glitter Man.
It's about Andy when he goes clubbing on Friday nights.
Yeah.
Nice.
Covers himself in glitter.
It's a mystery thriller.
Like Gold Dust.
Remember the wrestler Gold Dust?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
That's it.
Yep.
It's a real good twist at the end.
Yeah.
Shocking.
A lot of people see it coming.
No, but this is rad.
I stole one of the stories out of it.
The fact that you had it.
You didn't steal it.
Well, I did.
We charged for Patreon, and we sold your story on Patreon.
We got a check for you.
Yeah.
525.
But no, the fact that you sold your story on Patreon,
the fact that you had a freaking encounter.
I'd get a cap.
With the Glitter Man?
No.
Oh, the orb?
Yeah.
Yeah, absolutely.
What the heck?
Okay, so that's the only paranormal thing that's ever happened to me.
I was hunting with my father, uncle, my cousin, and one of his buddies.
This was back in the 90s, and it's a couple hours north of where I live.
And there was this plateau.
It was on a couple hundred acres.
And back then, my dad would walk me to the deer stand, drop me off,
and then he'd say, I'll pick you up when the sun comes up
or when the sun comes up.
When the sun goes down, I'll pick you up.
So I was out there one evening, and the sun was going down.
It wasn't all the way down, but it was getting close to that.
And it was this big open pasture, and I had my rifle.
I was hunting with a Remington 270 at the time.
And I saw something glowing, like moving through these mesquite thickets.
And I couldn't figure out, I'm like, what am I looking at?
Is that like a kite?
Is that like a mylar balloon?
Like, what is that?
So I kept seeing it, and it was a green.
It was a green, glowing orb about the size of a basketball.
And I pulled my scope up to take a better look,
and it wasn't crystal clear.
It looked blurry, but glowing green, clearly glowing.
And the thing that was odd about it is it was moving against the wind.
So the wind was coming from my left to right,
and it moved from my right to my left.
I watched it, and it went behind some mesquite trees, some cedar breaks.
And then I lost sight of it.
It wasn't making any noise.
It was completely silent.
I was like, man, I don't know what that is.
I was kind of freaked out about it.
But I didn't want to be judged by the other hunters,
because as a young man, you know, you don't want to be thrown from the group.
So I just kept my mouth shut.
I was like, I don't know what that was.
I'm not saying nothing.
If I come back to deer camp, they're all going to make fun of me,
and they'll probably throw me off the place.
You know, you're trying to be tough as a kid amongst men.
I didn't say anything about it.
But then it was like, so there was like eight different deer stands on this property.
And as a group of hunters, we would rotate.
So I'm going to hunt this stand one day.
Well, I'm going to try this one tomorrow.
So we would rotate.
This was a couple weeks later.
One of the other hunters was hunting in the stand where I had that observation.
I was hunting in a different stand.
When we got done hunting that night, he'd come running back to camp,
and he was freaked out.
And everybody's like, what's going on?
Like, what's wrong?
And he was like, man, you're not going to believe it.
I saw this green glowing orb moving across the pasture.
And when I heard that, I went white.
Yeah.
Because I'm like.
Well, you are, but.
Yeah.
Well, whiter than white.
Okay.
I was like Hooper's t-shirt white.
Yeah.
And I was freaked out.
And I was like, dude, I saw it too.
And they're like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
What are you talking about?
I was like, I saw the same thing weeks ago, and I just never said nothing about it.
So we were all kind of freaked out about it.
Well, it turns out one of the guys talked to the landowner.
And up on that plateau, he said he believes it was a Native American burial ground.
Yeah.
No, thank you.
And so now after hearing that, I mean, I'm 100% convinced that what we saw was some kind
of spirit or nature spirit or soul or something.
So y'all's podcast.
Do you get people that send in stories of crazy encounters and all that stuff?
That wasn't how it started, though.
Okay.
So like, it's been an evolution.
Like, we've been doing the podcast for 13 years.
Wow.
So when we first started, so I work for myself.
I'm in my car all day long.
Cam worked for the local municipality, and he was in his car all day long.
And, you know, you get tired of listening to the radio.
It's the same 20 songs on a loop.
And so we started, you know, you try to listen to sports radio, and it's just people arguing
about the loop.
And it just got real old.
Back then, podcasts were kind of a new thing.
What year was this?
Well, we started a podcast in 2013, but like the origin story of the podcast was probably
like 2010, 2011.
So I remember one day we were talking, because we always called each other on the phone.
We've been best friends since the sixth grade, because we're bored listening to the radio.
We would just call each other for like three hours a day.
Cool.
Just talk about everything.
And one day he was like, man, do you know what a podcast is?
And I was like, I have no idea what you're talking about.
And this was back in the day where you'd have to go on like iTunes and like find it and you
would download it.
And back then my iPod was like, it looked like a Bic lighter.
It was not even a screen on it.
It just had like a dial with the shuffle.
Yeah.
And so we started downloading stuff and then we would, okay, download this episode and
listen to it.
And then call me back.
Tell me what you think.
There was only a handful of paranormal shows back then.
They, you know, they weren't very good.
The audio wasn't any good.
It wasn't the technology.
And then, so we started doing it.
And then we did that for about a year and a half.
Two years.
And I remember one time we were sitting at his house around a bonfire and we were like,
man, do you think we could do something like that?
I was like, I don't know.
I don't even know how you do it.
So we started looking into how you do it.
And I remember back then I'd go into like guitar center and try to buy a microphone
and they'd be like, what are you doing?
Like, oh, I need a microphone.
It's like we would say podcast.
They didn't know.
So we said like internet radio was what we would describe it.
And then we just slowly started acquiring the equipment and it wasn't like it is today
where there was no books really telling you how to do it.
So I would watch YouTube, try to figure out how to do it.
And so we started off doing mostly interviews and we were doing stuff like ancient history.
Okay.
You know, like how alternative history, like, you know, like what you were taught is not
really the way it was.
That's how we got into the giants and the Nephilim and all that stuff.
And over time, because it was growing in the fan base, we started getting emails and people
started sharing their stories.
So when we would tell a story about a Sasquatch, somebody would send in their story.
I had one too.
And that just kept building.
And so stories just started piling in and it just snowballed.
And now it's.
It formed it.
And now basically all our show is, is telling stories that people send us.
And that's how the Glimmer Man started.
Cool.
Cool.
So the first time we ever heard the original Glimmer Man story, it was like, well, what
the heck is that?
And the people don't know what the Glimmer Man is.
It's basically people see.
Have you ever seen the movie The Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
So, you know, when the alien cloaks itself, that's what the Glimmer Man is.
And no one's saying it's an extraterrestrial, but people turns out have seen what looks
like a translucent human.
In the woods.
And when we got the first story, we're like, well, that's wild.
Told it on the air.
Next day, five people emailed in.
Dude, I saw the same thing, but never said nothing about it.
I just thought it was crazy.
And then every time we would tell those stories, other people would send in there.
So expanded perspectives is kind of like a safe place that you can tell your stories.
We're not going to judge you.
Yeah.
Because we don't have any idea what you saw.
We don't have any answers.
Yeah.
So we just collect them.
And then it turned after we had like a hundred and so stories, we're like, well, you know,
no one's written a book on this phenomenon.
Cool.
So why don't we just compile it and release it?
Well, what does the Glimmer Man do?
Like, is it just something people see or is it?
Oh, you're here.
Hey, guys.
What do you sound like?
My name's Cam.
And I just tag along.
Basically, the Glimmer Man seems to be a watcher.
Whoa.
Okay.
There doesn't seem to be any interaction.
If in all the book, there's a few that take place inside of like homes.
People wake up.
and actually have them in their house.
that's very few most of them are seen in the outdoors whether it's even in town or in the
woods but they're the only type of interaction that they seem to have is just like tagging along
watching watching from a distance is this like all over or is it like a primary spot in the
united states it's all over the world we get them from different places a bunch of different
countries in there we get them from it's not as much but of course you don't really know as you
know what's coming in but yeah it seems to be these people whatever they're doing just notice
something that's out of the ordinary and they start looking at it and then they can see it move
and then you realize that you're like that is a humanoid shape that looks like it's made of
cellophane right because the way it's yeah and it they talk about it distorts just like in the
movie the predator the whole thing that you can tell and they also what's wild is you get different
sizes like he was talking about the predator and he was talking about the predator and he was
like okay they're all this big no we've had them from four foot up to six seven foot wow so there's
a variance of size and shape but they all hold true to the humanoid form do people ever communicate
with them or interact with them or is it something that's just ominous it's just ominous it's just
yeah it's like they're just keeping tabs on people it's observing and it almost a lot of
people describe this when they notice it it notices that you notice it and then it usually
leaves oh no yeah i wonder what the yeah do you guys talk
ever talk about like like what maybe those people had in common that saw like because
well it's hard to i mean you get so many stories yeah i will say this and we were talking about
this several times we ever brought it up this morning there are there's two triggers of all
stories that you can kind of that's wild that tie together people walk in their dogs you're
gonna see a lot of stuff there's a lot of stuff and people smoking cigarettes at night interesting so
common denominator yeah it's weird like there are so many stories of people and i don't know if it's
the fact that that really means anything or if it's the fact that it's they're just they're calm
they're in the moment you're just kind of there sure you're taking time because you talk about
people go outside smoking at night notice things in the sky fly by they notice things around them
because they're not they don't have they're not like overthinking anything they're just like in
the moment they're just there that's funny because i didn't see a glimmer man but i saw a glimmer
plane or craft yeah yeah
yeah yeah and it was when me and my wife were walking our dog we look up and there's this giant
v just flying over us and it was like translucent yeah and it was just like kind of like that
distorted looking thing and we're like what the heck is that right so there's people don't know
what it is they always don't know like what is it well there's i mean there's there's a lot of
theories some people think it is an extraterrestrial that's camouflaging itself and walking amongst us
some people think it's demonic other people think it's a time traveler like if you could go back in
time and walk
around the streets of egypt but you would be completely camouflaged well it kind of sounds
like um like interstellar that scene where they're going through the wormhole yeah and there's that
it looks like the predator where it's like something is moving the space around it something
like invisible but it was him from the future in that like tesseract yeah four-dimensional thing
right and there's they reach out towards yeah yeah and there's people that think it's like some kind
of u.s military secret camouflage that they're testing and i'm like but you really wouldn't want
to walk in some kind of camouflage and they're like yeah i'm gonna walk in some kind of camouflage
someone's house and test it because if it went wrong you would know that they have that technology
right yeah you get shot that's an easy way to get shot i shot the flavor man and there's some people
that think it's even uh loved ones that are coming back and visiting yeah some people think it's got
your guardian angel yeah there's a lot of theories nobody because it never harms anybody it's just
they just see it and like most people have only had the sighting one time there's not like repeat
yeah occurrences of it yeah and and like i said when it notices you see it then it quickly walks
away or retreats or disappears
has there been tracks or anything like that no i mean i will tell you a strange thing that people
report is some say they're like okay we saw it jump like from tree to tree and the tree moves
like you can see the limbs move when it hits so you can see it and then others say we watched it
jump hit and it the tree didn't react you can see this thing jump into it jump into it so like
one is physically interacting with what we're in and one just seems to be able to do whatever it
feels yeah floating like crouching tiger hidden dragon like there's like like physically that
branch shouldn't be able to support the weight of whatever that is yeah but yet it is and these
happen all over we've got them from every state we've got them from other countries i mean i'll
give you one off the top of my head there was a young college girl she was going to the university
of florida in gainesville and um go gators uh she she was living in a dorm and stuff so she didn't
have much money and she had a dog but she said one of the things she liked to do because it was free
was she'd like to walk a dog in this particular park
she was out there it's a typical day walking the dog just like normal and then she said all of a
sudden the dog started noticing something it was like becoming concerned about something in the
tree and she looked up there briefly and was like what are you looking at i don't see anything but
the dog was persistent and just was like transfixed on what's ever going on in this tree and so she
just was like looking and studying the branches then all of a sudden she saw it and she said it
looked like a man that was completely translucent like the invisible man but you could see him you
could see his like rough outline yeah and she said it was peering around and going around in the
branches and then it was like peeking behind the trees like watching them and she's like man what
is that and she said she watched it for a few minutes and then it just kind of retreated and
and that was it and she had no idea what that was kind of put it away never talked about it and then
she heard a story that we were told on the show and she's like man i thought i was crazy but i
saw the same thing wow and that's what like most of the stories are like
so it's a really strange phenomenon we don't know what it is i mean some people think it's just
ghosts yeah what was the connection someone who worked on the film predator remind me of that
because that that tripped me out this is the best okay so when we started getting all these stories
and collected them when we'd read them and try to wonder like what the heck is going on so i started
doing some research on who created the special effect for the cloaked predator in the movie the
predator so i looked up and the guy that was responsible for that his name was joel heinick
and i'm like heinick where have i heard that name before that's a weird name there was a ufo
researcher back in the 60s his name was jay allen heinick and he was hired by the government to look
into ufo stories and he was originally a skeptic he had he thought it was crazy it was nonsense but
over the years after interviewing thousands of people he slowly became convinced that the ufo
phenomenon was in fact real so i always wonder did his dad tell joel something the dinner table
that he later created so it was the father's son yeah it was his son no way that is crazy that's a
i don't know that that happened but i mean but how that's too connected to not be the case
hired by the government to study ufos doesn't believe in them his son then literally invents
what it looks like for an extra yeah it had never been done before you think about all the movies
they'd never done that before yeah he comes out and drops it gee that's a fun connection pretty
wild that's very fun
that's a good like intuition just like i'm just gonna look into that yeah that's yeah
and then the name heinick is so rare that i'm like well that's weird that's funny yeah i do
love that speaking of predator that what's that one new one on hulu that came out a couple years
ago oh pray pray that was so that's a great but it's like that whole cloaking stuff it just gives
you the creeps when you watch that man and it's just i mean i can't imagine coming into contact
with something like that and knowing that there's another being that doesn't want to be seen and
you them recognizing you yeah you're seeing them and vice versa that whole interaction right there
well that's probably the scariest thing i've heard in a while like that whole premise is
terrifying it makes me think of that uh the glimmer man could possibly be fey there's a lot
of fey encounters fey or fairy okay gnomes trolls things like that people see it's the same kind of
thing people will see a gnome or something and then it's like uh-oh the gnome why can you see
me like it it startles the fey creature because you're not seeing it it's like oh my god it's
supposed to be able to see it but you clearly can and then it escapes i'm wondering is the
glimmer man another type of fey i don't know because you get these stories of the face stuff
all the time i've and i love those stories i would like to hear some yeah what's your favorite
face story well there's they're endless one my favorite of always like little people
yeah you see the little people the woods uh tell them the the the little hunters oh man this is
this one this could go yeah yeah do it so i've got a friend of mine and i haven't talked to him
i've hunted on this place with him years back he was hunting on a place in southwest texas
deep it's called ozono but on ozono and sonora and all that and it looks just like you would
if you ever seen no country for old men that's what it looks like okay cool
he was down there and what's funny is like this had been happening and i didn't know anything
about it and it wasn't until his wife was like you should tell him because of the he'd known
about the podcast and all this and when i say we're friends we're friends not super close but
hunted together and all this he goes on to start telling me a story he's like okay he starts laying
out i believe the first interaction he had had was during spring turkey season down there and
it's just mesquites and rock and just draws it looks just like it does it's just rough country
he was where he was hunting was like loose sand he was moving into where he knew there was a water
trough so a lot of times down there in that land in that country there's not a lot of water right
so they will dig
water troughs they may even have them like sometimes they'll have windmills sometimes it
will just be it'll just come up out of like
a well system and have a float to keep it going and they run sheep out there because there's not
enough grass or not enough browse for cattle so they'll run a lot of sheep out there so they have
to keep this water going so the water troughs are naturally only this tall right they're only six
inches above the ground basically they don't get a lot of rain out there you don't have to worry
about all that so they keep it going so all the wildlife comes because it might be a 15 or 20
foot long water trough yep that's six inches out of the ground and they swarm it yeah so like you
know everything is going to be there so you always go by there and check to see so he's he's hunting
around through there goes up to this spot he's looking in the sand around this whole deal and
he notices tracks that he said look like children or child's footprints about this big oh wow so
nowhere a child would be nowhere yeah nowhere yeah i mean this is in the middle of i think it's like
6 000 acres in the middle of all this like there's texas desert yeah oh yeah yeah it's there's always
big thorns big horns right if it's rough rugged terrible place that's where the game's gonna be
he said he didn't know what to do at first he's kind of freaked out about the whole deal so he
starts following these tracks he was like first of all how'd a baby get out here
like what's a toddler doing in the middle of this yeah his brain wasn't in the cryptid world not at
all and it never is that's the thing is this it never is with this dude so he tracks it he can't
find it it gets into the some of the grass there by this creek and it was it's a dry creek because
he was worried that the child for sure would be in danger or something yeah like well if a kid found
this water like what did it get you know you never know right was it was it illegals did one of them
get separated that's like what is going on yeah gotta figure it out so he goes to does all the
tracking loses it as it gets down by this creek that's it that was that was the story he's like
man i don't that was weird then he said that things started going missing around their camp
like the top off of like a uh like a spray bottle like
say wd-40 or something just a plastic lid gone and he was like that's weird and it was all in
this one building they kept their corn in all their tools in he talked about a socket going
missing he was like little things just silly things went missing and we'd ask the guys were
like no i didn't use it and he's like well somebody took it didn't think anything of it
fast forward like it's like a year or so after this had gone down maybe two and nothing else
had happened he's hunting on his face bow hunting he's in the far back of the property up on a big
flat ridge okay and he said the back of it falls off to a valley on the neighbor's property so
he's it's probably 800 900 foot decline down into this big valley he can look off see the
other side behind him and then he turns and he's hunting this big mesquite flat right he's just
watching all of this out here he said for some reason he's sitting there it's cold you know
he's sitting there and he starts i think i'll look behind me so he turns around he's looking
back there and he sees something moving he was like wow it looks is that javelina like what is
that moving up this hill so he gets his glass and he starts glassing and he said at first he was
like well that's a big raccoon and then he starts looking he's like oh there's three of them well
then he really it dawns on him what he's looking at is three people he said they probably couldn't
be more than maybe 18 to 20 inches tall and he said they look like little cavemen like little
they have furs on
stout yeah wow like little hunt look like little i guess you could say you know icelandic looking
little cavemen but they've all been shrunk down they're all completely proportionate
i mean it's not like it it fits like tiny people they're wearing all their furs they actually have
like little you can see little bags or something one of them looks like it's got a walking stick
and they go up and over this ridge and he's probably 800 yards from him as he's glass and
he's like what is that yeah
you know and he could tell he's like i could see stuff on him but i didn't so he didn't say anything
about it he was like i don't know what this this makes no sense no big deal no chance they're kids
no chance yeah no chance there yeah because that's the first thing you think is well yeah for sure is
that the kids again fast forward another i think it was another year or so he's out there again
after this nothing nothing else happened nothing was missing nothing it was just like oh that's well
another spring turkey season he's back over by that water trough area in that creek bottom and
it's a dry creek bottom it's full of sand grass everywhere and all this he starts making his way
down there he's tracking he's calling turkey he can hear him he hears the tom goblin the tom's
moving he's like i'm going to cut him off i'm going to get in this creek bottom and run down
through that sand he can't hear me he can't see me i'm going to get way around in front of him
he said so he's moving pretty quick he's bow hunting so he's got his bow he's fully camoed out
everything he's moving along and he said he turns a corner and when he turns a corner he said less
than 20 yards from him about halfway up the bank like it knobbed like a little walk for the
whatever the sheep came down so it's like a little trail going up back to the top
he said i'll turn the corner and i come eye contact face to face with what looked like two
native americans from way back in the day standing there and he said but they're 18 inches tall
he said one of them
has got a rabbit tied up on him like it's carrying a cottontail rabbit that looks like it's he's
carrying a deer on his back they have what looked like little weapons little bags little pouches
he said the thing that floored me the most was like that lid what looked like the lid that had
gone missing is hanging off one of them's hip tied on like they don't know if they use it for a cup
he doesn't know what is going on when he sees all this he said i freeze and we're just making eye
contact like we're doing right now and he said i'm less than 20 yards from them looking at these
things and they're looking at me and he said something happened and dude he's not like an
emotional guy he just he's one of the most cool guys right he just doesn't he said something
happened to where i felt this was a gift instantly he said i felt at peace i didn't feel anything
crazy i didn't freak out he said i just looked at him and they just froze and looked at me
and he said we stood there i don't know how long just staring at each other
and he said they could see me and he said i just nodded and turned and just kept going
and he said they both watched me go and then they just kept going and he said i never felt peace
like that maybe in my whole life of just being in their presence and then left and so i had gone on
to ask him other questions and he was like that's it and it's been years since he's seen he goes
nothing went missing after that and i've not seen any sign and he said i'm afraid they're gone that
they we ran into each other and they just moved to wherever they were going but yeah he had three
different little things like that happen out there oh my god i'm just seeing that dude that would be
crazy yeah right how do you explain scary yeah i think the last time it happened to him something
i think that was like 2014 or 2016 was when all that went down 18 inches tall yeah he said they
weren't more than like this big maybe not not two foot but yeah he said like and they looked like
bigger versions of indian in the cupboard yeah it kind of sounds like
it could be your dad i mean same genetics it's all out there yeah yeah exactly yeah so when we heard
that story you thought man that's wild so we started looking into it and there's actually
native american tales of that being a thing and like they kind of know about it and it's even
more so like in south america are you familiar with duendes no i know wendy's no yeah you do
we can kill easy yeah so like in brazil duendes that's what they call these little fey-like
creatures and over there it's widely accepted and we got a story after we told that one of course
that there was guys doing some land surveying i think it was arizona new mexico new mexico
and they had some they had some brazilian guys working for them and they were working out there
in the pasture and they what they thought were raccoons turns out it was those little guys with
like pelts on and the brazilian guys were freaking out and they were screaming de wendy and they ran
down the hill and they quit the job whoa yeah it was home again they had walked back in a ranch
doing seismic survey that's what it was seismics up in this ranch and they said they noticed
that the guy that had sent us the story was running the crew and he said we noticed they was like
carvings in the rock wall up there you know it's like old petroglyphs yeah man i didn't have any
idea that this was out here and he said then they noticed what looked like sod homes right but they
were little he's like is that like something to make in a maybe like a like a coyote den but it's
like they look like somebody put a little extra work on that one you know kind of laughing and he
walked right up on it he said i thought i walked up on the raccoons and when he said walked up he
said i was 10 foot from him when i walked around this trail dude we just cruise it and he goes
all of them look up at me and he said they're very brown they're dark-haired they're wearing raccoon
skins the whole thing and he said they he just took off and yeah the whole deal but yeah he said
the the brazilian they wouldn't have no part of it that they went up there and they've been talking
about something up there this whole time well it's interesting that you said seismic like if they were
if there is stuff coming from underground like they were they were literally blasting down
is that the theory maybe that they they they dwell on the ground no they if you think of something
that had the intelligence of a human being that was well-versed in the outdoors but is 18 inches
tall good luck seeing it yeah right i mean it could literally be hiding in your backyard right
now you'd have no idea don't say that no idea looking in your window while you're trying to
sleep or you're talking to your children and it's just something about the one with the the dry
right in house and the chalk line oh that yeah that another one down there in southwest texas
dude was re basically remodeling an old barn to make it like a house doing some work in
there you know and doing all this and it left his tools in a five gallon bucket
out there now this is again south texas sonora ozona down in southwest texas
he said he gets up the next morning they're starting early because it's hot right so they're
getting started before daylight to try to get everything set up he said i come into that house
and he said i walk in and at first he said i hear stuff scrambling around i think it's the raccoons
are in here they make their way out where the window you know open boom boom boom they flying
out he goes my tools are scattered all out he's like what are the coons doing just dragging tools
out of a bucket and his chalk lines missing so he's like why would you need a chalk line yeah
right so he goes to look around as sun starts coming up he can see part of the line in the grass
then he notices again three or four of these things these little dwindies or whatnot out there
watching and one of them's got it and he takes off with it he was like i watched four what looked
like tiny like ancient native americans running around
running around and he's like i don't know what's going on
outside that house and run off with his chalk line wow yeah and he was like and again he never
saw him again it was like the one deal they have this interaction it's like they're smart enough
to know i can't go back there do the native americans do they do they interpret them as
like a like a supernatural thing or just like another race it seems to be more like another
well kind of both yeah yeah but it's almost like they are the keeper of the woods the way they
look at like bigfoot the way they look at all this is like they know they call them puck wedgie as
they're there dang and see in western society we don't really talk about it that much but if you go
to places like scandinavia it's all it's well understood about the little people yeah they'll
move roads around rocks and mountains and all that not to disturb the fey if they know that's there
they're going to build their road around it because they're like you don't you don't want
to disturb them because they are trickster spirits at in general in the fey because they'll always
tell you don't accept food don't accept anything from them oh but the weirdest part to me of the
story is when you get to people talking to people that have experienced psychedelics where they
start talking about these these yeah small machine elves or whatnot yeah they all report the same
thing they all see the exact same thing and they all talk about these little people basically
reacting to them like oh oh he can see us now like we got interesting so it's like you get to peer
through the veil for a little bit and then that's it and it we've had stories we had a woman write us in that she was
she was like 12 or 13 when this happened with her and her sister down by a river they were playing
and it was here in the state somewhere and she said they started hearing like laughter they
thought but it was like very subdued like very quiet volume laughter she makes her way around
there and there's like three if you could think of garden gnomes that are maybe not even a foot tall
and they as i take this punch to this microphone they are fighting to get something like a little
like the bank of a river and they see her and she's like they are dressed exactly like red caps
like brown everything right yeah and they're like oh and they get it all out and take off and the
skater yeah exactly the girl's screaming run off but she's like they went back there's little tiny
footprints there was little handprints on stuff like it is like you've seen a raccoon track yeah
you can tell the difference between a raccoon track and a infant's handprint yeah and that's
what they were saying is like those are human hands and they're like those are human hands
they're just like this big what in the world oh man i mean i don't even know what to think of that
man like it's like when you think of like you we see these aliens or like these you know the hat
man we're like okay that's demonic but when you run into things like this like what do you a little
native as a christian like what are you supposed to think of this guy like yeah yeah it seems like
they're harmless but and yeah it's i mean the garden gnome everybody knows what that looks like
but and those those those images are what they look like is because these have been seen for a
year we don't really talk about it in other parts of the world it's widely accepted that that's just
a thing that is interesting because we've talked about before like sightings of like giants and
stuff like that like that's such a common narrative throughout the whole world yeah and apparently so
are these little people yeah and they people talk about doing things like if you want your garden to
grow good like offer gifts to the fae if you offer little bits of alcohol or tobacco or stuff like
that like all of a sudden you'll notice that like all their pests in your garden will go away and
it's real it's weird it's weird i'm just gonna put some like you know
fireball whiskey little bottles like on the garden bed they take thimbles
yeah yeah and they do like liquor for whatever reason that is so funny but it is interesting
like how especially america we really like to characterize all of these real things that you
know people that was very real to a lot of people like we look at witches you know how like right
it's comical now you know like we we make them in movies and we we draw cartoons of them gnomes are
like it's travelocity exactly
you wonder if it is on purpose though so like because it i mean i don't i don't know i mean
even the fact that like this is probably a dumb theory but like the idea that like you know how
sometimes they coin phrases so whenever you look it up and you know like the whole disney frozen
when you look it up you're like oh you're gonna get the frozen movie not walt disney was frozen
yeah yeah stuff like that but like i mean the whole push with you know like little people
little people big world when you when you search little people now you're not gonna find anything on
these stories you're gonna yeah i mean yeah but it's just interesting how we america's really
chosen to pick out certain mythical creatures or actual stuff from our ancient societies and just
yes it to make it funny or you know like oh it's just we dismiss it and for whatever reason we
dismiss natives like their traditions and stuff you're like oh that's not real that's because
they're native american or oh they're not they haven't really seen a dinosaur in the congo because
they're natives they don't know what they're talking about it's crazy like why dismiss it
yeah because they were here first they're the
locals yeah they don't think it's insane when you talk about they're like oh yeah just like if you
go to like an old native american grandmother they'll be like oh yeah skinwalkers that's a
real thing yeah when they go they would know those are real yeah and they deeply believe in it yeah
not they burn sage they do things to not have them come around the totem poles i mean like all that
dude is so weird man to bring tolkien back up i mean he literally wrote a book about little people
living in mounds in the ground yeah yeah and all his other stuff is super watcher enochian
word i found that out googling it means something else when i when i've been using anokian on this

are you using racial slurs to everybody on this place again is that what you've been up to
yeah yeah i get it
why not i get it i mean i get it i asked youtube to re-verify us what i asked youtube because we
were verified but then we changed the name it doesn't transfer no so you have to reapply and
reapply and they're like no i'm like okay that's i'm trying to insane do what i'm air dropping you
something okay don't take it it's a photograph he took it this morning this is called the fairy
census there's like thousands of face stories in there we already got a fairy in this room
our little fairy boy fly away glitter man
so
over there with the big red cap a little fairy boy that's fairy boy you feel good about yourself
josh yeah yeah no wonder you're not verified until you start being nice to your co-host
you will remain unverified i'd put that in a rider is this a recording yeah yeah we're good
never mind we'll discuss this later all right fairies watchers what's the creepiest
story that has come across that can be i guess multiple people have seen it
like what's our guess yeah because i would i like it when there's stories where there's
multiple people that see it to me it gives more validation to it
i guess or what's just the creepiest story that's you guys have come across i don't like
to try to lump them into where you have to validate it by the number of people spotted
okay because and the reason i say it is simply because this you could have something happen to
you whether it be spiritual yeah prove it yeah yeah well everybody else was sitting around you
they didn't experience prove it yeah it doesn't work like that right there's one-offs that we
just can't explain and that's what makes this whole subject
matter so infuriating to people that want to dig in and get to the answer
you're never gonna get to the answer yeah right just like we we don't know we have no idea there
i guess it's as far as creepiness though and really unsettling it would be whatever you
personally find unsettling i will tell you this there's a lot of things oh dude the majority of
my life it's usually has to do with some sort of a form of skinwalker wendigo or
those crawlers when you start getting into those three things of people because they are the most
unnatural thing you're going to come across and when you start reading about pale crawlers
or the watchers from california where they start talking about up in the mountains that all look
kind of the same and then people start i mean they was just a report a couple of days ago as a guy was
out near skinwalker ranch a trucker driving by and saw something on the side of the road this is like
two or three in the morning saw something on the side of the road and he's like what is this as he
gets near it it's what he said was a crawler a pale crawler eating on the body of a coyote
that had been hit and then it like sees him in the lights grabs it and drags it off away from the road
this just went down so it's like the crawler so he's like and he was talking about like hat man
and all that stuff that stuff's shadow beings are terrifying because where we're sitting right now
there's shadows everywhere you look right they're all around us look at well at this studio is
there's shadows underneath this couch i've experienced a shadow being once in my
you have yeah no thank you share that i mean it was just it was it was probably our second year
in doing this podcast i've talked about before where i was just getting way too deep into it
of just like learning about the occult and i just kind of like oh my gosh like this is the
creepiest stuff like i want to get a story from this i just started like doing more and more
research and dude that just opened the floodgates for everything demonic truly you come a knocking
and we joked about like my house being cursed but it was just weird like trees were dying and like
weird stuff was happening there was again incidents with owls i've always had a weird thing with owls
really oh yeah there's a reason i say really there's a phenomenon we can talk to you about
i need i need validation in my owl fear well it's not good yeah you're seeing owls all time
it's not necessarily it's not a good thing i know that i know that deep down but no
one believes me i believe you okay well the one owl thing was we've talked about it before but
we had these neighbor boys and they came over like freaked out and they're like they're like
miss lily they're like look at that owl and we have a fence right in front of our door it's like
i don't know 40 yards away and there's just an owl sitting there just like this just staring at
lily just like this and we're like what the freak bro like i hate this nope but there's just weird
i was dealing with like mental stuff and like just like ultra depressed and like anxious and
all that stuff and i was just like praying one night while giving my daughter like a bath
and i'm just like god please just get this out of my head like what these thoughts and then in
my kids room right next to the bathroom just all the toys on the shelf just oh i'm like what the
freak bro um but it was in that kind of month period to where i woke up one night just like
afraid but i like kind of couldn't move and just at the end of my bed was just this dark
shadow thing and i just started praying and it just went just out the door i'm like
there's some things they can't fight i can't there's some things they can't beat up well and
you got to be careful because like like you were saying when you're researching and studying stuff
it's like it almost notices that you're looking into it yeah and then it'll kind of mess with you
what's the saying when you look into the void the void looks back i hate that
don't like that yeah and that's what it's waiting on and it is it truly is if you start giving it
energy yeah which is kind of another reason that we don't go too far down any of those paths yeah
we love sharing the stories and the fun and we're having a great time you veer off into it it's
it's crazy it starts pulling you that way yeah and then as it starts easing you that's what it
wants it's kind of like the knowledge of good and evil right that desire and you're just like i need
to know i need to know what this is and so that's kind of like the knowledge of good and evil
the best thing in life is when you get to that point to where you're like i'm okay not knowing
yeah i would just as soon go i know it's not good and that's good enough it's a good place to be it
just be yeah yeah i'm not looking the shadow people i mean like it is it plagues people that
are usually in down on their luck or going through depression or something bad's happening to them
and it's like it feeds off that energy well you think about the interactions that people have with
it it's not physical yeah it's their feeding off of your emotion that's what it's for it's sent
there to drain you all of that energy is going to feed off of your emotions that's what it's for
these shadows sightings that's what it all is everybody that talks about a sense of dread i
talk i beat this horse to death on the show people always are like i had a bigfoot sighting and i felt
dread or i had this and i felt dread i'm like because that's what it's doing if if it wanted
to physically do something to you we wouldn't have these stories we would have missing person stories
but we don't we have stories of these people that are emotionally conflicted
and drained and damaged by this because that's its job
it's job is to show up for whoever it works for yeah and come in there and harass you and beat you
up spiritually emotionally try to drag you down that's its job okay tell me about these foot
soldiers okay so a lot of people who are abducted by aliens claim to have a lot of encounters with
owls for whatever reason they believe that when the extraterrestrials abduct you that they're
trying to familiarize you with what's going on and they're trying to familiarize you with what's
going on with something that's not them and the closest thing that they can mimic is what looks
like an owl and they don't leave people don't know that till they go and have hypnotic recession and
they turns out it's not an owl and there's a guy that wrote a whole book on it his name's mike
cleland he's got a lot of sightings in there and people describe the same thing waking up in terror
and they look out their bedroom window and there's an owl looking in or or walking and they see a
five-foot-tall owls and stuff like that so my mother my whole life my mother's obsessed with
owls she's always had them since she was a little girl she has figurines paintings i mean just
everything always with owls this was probably 10 years ago probably close to 10 years ago
my mother calls me and she was like or it was right after we had cleland on
wasn't too long after we talked to him and my mom was like hey do you know anything about big owls
and i'm like what are you talking about you're the owl person
she's like yeah but i mean like big owls and i'm like no i have no idea what are you talking about
she goes well she i forgot what she was doing out doing something late one evening she was
working in the barn do whatever she's messing around with she said she goes to walk back to
the house and she looked down the driveway down towards the the mailbox which is probably 75 80
yards from where she was at and she says there this is like 10 30 so it's dark get the security
light down there by the front gate she was like what is that she says it's an owl
she goes i can tell instantly it's an owl i'm like oh that's awesome so she kind of walked towards it
to get a better look she goes it wasn't until i was about halfway there i realized that
i thought the owl was closer because it's about four foot tall holy crap standing down there at
the end of the road just looking at her under the lights at this moment she was like nope and started
backing up went back in the house that was it she's like getting the house look out the window
it's gone nothing had ever happened after that but that was the first and then of course we were i'm
on the whole owl thing like there's probably a good chance that you may have taken a ride in a
ship like there may be some things just letting you know are you still my mother yeah letting you
know like you probably should head your passport you had mentioned hooper that you saw what looked
like a translucent v-like shaped craft yeah have you had sightings like that your whole life um
weirdly with stars there's time in high school where i was like kind of praying to see a sign
moving and then they disappeared and stuff and then it was what three years ago we were in
tennessee i i'm sorry to everyone because i've told this story so many times but
um we were at an airbnb in murfreesboro tennessee i was sleeping in the living room because all the
bedrooms were taken so i went and peed off the front porch in the middle of the night it was
like i don't know two or three in the morning i'm peeing and it just felt like something was
like watching me and i look up and it was just like it looked just like a crazy bright star
right above the trees i'm like that's weird and as soon as like it's almost like it noticed me
looking at it and it goes moves over there i'm like holy crap and i'm peeing on my foot at this
point and it just goes and then shoots off and then you have owls too and then owls you have
missing time have you ever had any moments that you oh gosh don't i don't know you ask i don't
know yeah you have i've always i mean from a very young age this is a yes this the spiritual realm
has been
you ask i don't know
a part of my life yeah and i'm not trying to like say whatever but like seeing demon possessions
like when i was like five or six and like but like dreaming about it before and like
just crazy stuff like that so i don't know i mean he's one of those he might be one of those
what is that well yeah you know we all know uh there's certain people that are attuned
to certain it's crazy it's like vibration like there are you we all know somebody that you're
like man i've known that guy my whole life he has the worst luck like everything he does just falls
apart he makes bad choice like the whole thing right there are certain people that are seem to
be more attuned to whatever it is i always alluded to the fact that we only have a very small group
of senses yet we already know dogs can sense more and cats can so what else is around us that we are
physically too dumb to be able to pick up
so some people are more attuned to those things and some so you may be a little more attuned to
that which is the reason it reaches out to you the reason you feel it more emotionally the reasons
it's more spiritually the way you feel it whereas like i am a moron and nothing like this happens to
me like i walk to left dee dee dee bumping into shadow creatures sorry my bad and just moving on
like they don't even mess with it right because this guy's too dumb to be taken but you yeah you
i mean it i mean it literally may be so every time you see now you should just be flattered
all right yeah i'm smart or start talking to him be like yo bro what are you doing here like what
would you bring me back what are you what are you watching in on like what are you what happened
here just get the neighbors and be like is he talking to that owl he's back outside get out of
here i hate you he's showing that alice off the front but it was also at that on that same trip
where andy was walking in the driveway he was walking in the driveway and he was like oh my god
and he heard something in the gravel running at him i forgot about that
here we go he was walking i literally forgot about that he was walking in the driveway
you're calling his wife it was on the phone with my wife and it was dark and there's only like a
like a porch light it's only like part of the driveway it was like lit up but like barely
and he just and the gravel is like like straight at him and then you say he's like a shadow or
something right then dude and then he's like oh my god and then he's like oh my god and then he's
like oh my god and then he's like oh my god and then he's like oh my god oh you gotta get on the mic
you gotta go he don't want i was so scared there for a second you just reminded me of how i felt
in that moment how did i forget about you described it as like what was it it was like an animal ran
it was immediately after it was it was heavy it was heavy too it was like almost as if someone was
like if you said like it was because it was thick gravel this was a nice place that like just had
like it looked like gravel put down it's almost as if someone had heavy boots on and was like
running their feet through the gravel but fast towards you and it was like it was like it was
dude it was that's so scary that's because you just buried that it was in this for sure
that's why i don't do edmr don't be freaking out no no yeah they were taken that's what i think oh
yeah yep yeah oh man one of the two at that table's been above the planet i need to look back
at that episode if not both yeah yeah and you've had encounters too we don't need to go back
through that story we'll yeah but it was it was kind of different not in the same realm kind of
that but yeah i mean there's just it's just weird stuff man it's i don't know i don't know you might
be sensitive to it i mean like lots of people that have crazy sightings it's like a lifetime
of experiences it's like somehow they're just more perceptive to it we have a really really good
friend that's that's he's that way and his one of his kids is the same way really that like the
weirdest things in the world happen to them really like very like i mean so much so that where he had
come in and one of them had come in and talking to him when he was little and then he woke up and
the boys had not done that and he had all kinds of stuff on his hands and had like yeah like he
might have been taken and come back and he's like i can't wash it off they were trying to get it and
then the same thing like two nights later it happened to his oldest son woke up and was like
you know what is this on me dad like somebody put something on me while i was asleep
they're like what is all there's like dude i don't i don't know weird yeah you want i if you like
settling let's go i'll give you an unsettling story this happened probably let's see mid 80s
probably 85 86 when this was told to me yeah 87 at the latest so yeah i was like 11 or 12 years old
my dad's to preface this my dad's an old cowboy that's what he's always been ranching rodeo and
that's all he's ever done horses cows that's what i grew up on the whole deal one of his old cowboy
friends grew up in a town and he was a cowboy and he was a cowboy and he was a cowboy and he was a
town called coming outside of a town called comanche which is south of us and his granddad
lived on all of them and when and of course at 12 years old i thought this this old fella was
an antique and he was probably 60 right but i'm like this guy's 118 years old right he saw the
sun get made so turns out and and when he ended up his name was fritz and when fritz passed away
i think he was almost 90 at the time so he was pretty older whenever he told me the story
and it was one of those things well he didn't just tell me he told my dad now and it was so
funny how he brought up because they're not those kind of guys they're just not like that's this
stuff never crosses their mind it's just nonsense right was the way it was i forgot what had led to
it if we were we were at fritz's house they'd got done rope and we were all sitting around and it
was people left it was just my dad and i and fritz and his wife was in the house they were talking
about something i don't know if we'd seen a coyote running out across the place or what it was but
just out of the blue fritz is like i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know
i'll tell you a pretty crazy story that happened to me as a kid he said i had gone to stay with my
grandfather and he said i was probably 10 years old so this would have been you know probably
back in the 40s 30s 40s somewhere around there he said i'd gone to stay with my grandfather
and his grandfather and grandmother's grandmother had passed away his granddad still lived in the
house but they didn't have electricity or running water in the house right so it's just way out in
the woods and his granddad would ride a horse into town if they needed to he was like i would
always ride horses with my grandpa in the town
they had talked about seeing a albino coyote like people had reported that there's a one and they
had seen it around there and it had been terrorizing some sheep or terrorizing you know
cattle this whole thing so the granddad was like always carrying his rifle at his 30 30 with him
they ride and well they end up seeing it one morning as they're going whatnot so his granddad
takes a shot at and hits it the thing takes off he's like okay we're gonna get down there so they
get done what they got
done and they come back and he's like let's go look for it let's go see if we can find this this
one it's getting towards the evening they get out and they start blood trailing this coyote
and they track it and track it and track it until they get to the property of this old house that
the granddad said yeah this is where the old native american woman lives and said this woman's
lived here forever you know and the granddad had knew of her and was like everybody stays away from
her and the guy was like the granddad was like this might be some of her doing oh wow
whatever this is it's like so it's going back to her place they track the blood back to her house
and the granddad is like banging on the door nothing lets himself in and she's dead on the
floor oh my gosh and fritz straight up was like yeah he's like nine or ten he was like
i'm looking at this woman shot right where my granddad shot this coyote the blood trail the
whole thing they ride into town get the sheriff tell him what happened come out the sheriff goes
and gets a few other guys and they're like oh my gosh he's dead he's dead he's dead he's dead he's dead
they all come there do the whole thing and then that was all that came of it
is they were like it's almost like some of them knew oh my goodness so yeah so he admitted to
shooting he straight up said i shot a coyote my grandson was with me this they took him to the
blood trail where it started this is where it was this is where we shot it there's the tracks
it leads to this house and there she is dead on the floor he's like explain this to me what in
the world yeah and like i'm telling you he told me this story my father and i this story
just like i told it to you just plain and simple moved on and he never brought it up again he was
just like yep that's what happened and then that was it so he wasn't like one of those people that
loves they just no he never told stories like that at all he was an old farrier he had retired from
where he'd worked over in the metroplex somewhere and he'd always been a farrier part-time and when
was full so he was a shoot horses that's all he did dang so like yeah this was just salt of the
earth oh boy he was just like yeah i don't know what that was still to this day i have no idea
what that was holy moly
And seeing she was Native American
and they believe in like
yeah skinwalker stuff so yeah i mean yeah we've talked about skinwalkers quite a bit on this
show they're they're definitely truly one of the creepiest of things to me well and i know
andrew had talked about uh that thermal story yeah right we had gotten another thermal story so
do you want to do you want to tell what andrew had talked about or if i'm sure i'm sure they
all remember basically a dude saw one moving while he was hunting with thermal pigs see something
leaves the tree moves back that thing comes to the tree and sniffs where he's at looks around
starts coming at him calling noises he starts ripping shots at it the thing starts juking
around that's the long and short of it we get another story sent to us when we were on ducks
unlimited one of their people sent us one it was like his name's greg and greg's like i have
something i have to share with you guys greg worked on radio towers out in the middle like
like
out in the middle of nowhere cell phone towers right so they've got the little building in the
the fence the privacy fence around it all chain linked up you know security stuff but it may be
out in the middle of somebody's property in the middle of 10 000 acres they just rent this area
to have this antenna so he said what was so great about his job was not only being in the outdoors
but he said that he could he would ask permission if he found great places to hunt he would ask the
landowner permission to hunt there he goes man nine times out of ten they're like yeah dude go
ahead so greg hunt
out of a tree saddle so he would you know hang in the tree and just sit there and all so it was easy
to carry and he also used one like that for climbing so he was like i would bring my rifle
and you could climb the radio tower he said i get up 20 30 foot hang my tree saddle then i can just
brace off and shoot deer because where that tower was he said they was the road in they might be a
right of way over here it's like dude it's perfect and he would pull in and park inside the fenced
in area everything is used to trucks or whatever being inside there nobody thinks anything of it
so he got this spot to hunt and he was pumped he said it was a great place guy said it's cool so
that's what his plan is he shows up early one morning like you know an hour and a half two
hours for daylight he drives into this whole place gets in parks takes his time gets set up
works his way up the up the the radio tower gets everything set up got his rifle he's just hanging
out when you're up above all that even when it's dark you can start seeing stuff moving below you
because you're getting that light
coming in from all above you're not so trapped with everything around you so he's watching and
he said he notices two deer moving and he's like oh so he gets his rifle he's got a thermal on it
so he pops that thermal on he said oh there's a doe and there's another doe and this doe's limping
it's like i couldn't tell if she had you know got chased and bit or hit or whatnot but she's got a
pretty bad limp said they start working their way and he's just watching him and it's still you know
he can't shoot it's dark so he can't do anything so he's just watching him he said movement to their
attention and he said so what it is see if i remember this like if he's looking back to the
road that he came in on that's his 12 o'clock these deer come out at his like three two two
o'clock or so and start making their way across he said as they're coming out at this point they're
less than 200 yards from him he can watch them and he said they start kind of making their way that
way real slowly he catches a glow behind him he's like oh maybe we're gonna have a buck following
something like let's see what's going on he starts watching that and he said this glow follows him
and then he starts watching him and he's like oh my god he's like oh my god he's like oh my god he's
like oh my god he's like oh my god he's like oh my god he's like oh my god he's like oh my god he's
notice and it's moving in a gate that's human yeah so he's like well there shouldn't be anybody
out here especially in the dark there's no lights just walking around like it's no big deal
he said this thing steps out from behind the tree and he can tell it's a man
and it's naked so he's looking at this naked dude in the dark in the middle of the woods
he said the deer get about 12 o'clock right in front of back by the road that he says and they've
kind of been angling towards him he said this thing drops down on all fours and starts moving
he's watching he's like what is going on this thing comes out till the deer see it and then
the deer take off he said as the deer take off down this road run and this thing starts loping
and keeping up with them so it's gaining on them as it's moving across this this down this road
he said the healthy one splits so it breaks off runs off to his left he said the crippled one is
what it singled out and it's chasing he said this thing obviously knows what it's what's chasing it
in the dark into that chain link fence it hits right where he's you know looking right outside
there hits it throws it back on the ground it's squalling here comes this thing and he said you
can hear it moving too as it's coming it closes on the deer gets on the deer he's still got the gun
he's looking at it he says some profane words to himself sure naturally what is and he's kind of
to himself you know because he's looking through the scope he said no sooner than i got those words
out that this thing froze and he said it just slowly turns its head and looks at me on this
antenna and he said i'm like okay and then he said i hear this what the and he's trying to repeat
what it's saying to him and so he's like what is happening right now and he said it starts out as
that rough voice till it starts almost sounding like it's mimicking his voice he said at this
point the thing walks past the deer and just yeets up onto the fence and shunk right over the top of
the fence and lands inside next to his truck in that enclosed area greg's no nonsense he's like
all right cowboy pop pop he sends two he ars him in the chest knocks it down and then head shoots
him on the ground
he said at that point he just you know slings the gun and he said i'm losing it yeah i'm hanging on
the side of this thing and he's like i'm trembling i can't focus i can't breathe he goes i don't even
know how long i was holding my breath he's like i'm falling apart up here he gets his gun up and
looks all right everything's good he said i'm sitting there i'm trying to catch my breath maybe
60 seconds go by right he's like oh well i probably ought to get down at least i'm gonna have to make
a phone call like i don't know what to do i'm gonna have to get down i'm gonna have to get down
what's going on pulls his rifle up it ain't there he starts swinging around it's hanging on the side
of his truck and it's limping and it's trying of course to get away from him right so it moves
around to the other side so he readjusts he puts the gun re gets swung back around and runs the
rifle through the the whole antenna so he can brace off on him he's like i'm hitting the head
i don't know what's going on but i'm putting this thing down he said in the time that he was
spent bracing to get around this thing had climbed back out of the of the thing and was booking it
and of course he's like trying to you know nothing as this thing runs off he said he waits for it to
get daylight climbs down there's blood on the ground you could see wherever all of this stuff
had taken place he gets in his truck leaves sells all of his stuff never goes back in the woods he
said i gave up i gave up i gave up
hunting that day i gave up camping that day he said i never go in the woods after dark
i don't do any of that stuff anymore he said i just quit it all out he goes i don't know what
that was i have no idea but he said i shot it twice and there's nothing shakes that off and
this thing got up and shook it off and climbed back over an eight foot chain link fence with
razor wire with the constantine wraps up on top and took off yeah dude i'm picturing that whole
thing the look up dude that yeah the head tilt look oh yeah the mimic the mimic yeah the voice
thing that's the thing right yeah well and i had brought it up too is like you always hear them
what all the stories you hear that these crawlers and the mimics it's help me help me yeah what do
you think the last words they heard was god oh my god what the freak don't say that that's the last
thing they hear you're gonna be screaming help me as those things drag you down so that's how they
know to mimic it oh my god
and we get wild stories and some of them aren't even paranormal like i was talking to you guys
yesterday we had a hunter that sent in a story and uh he was bow hunting in central texas and he was
up in his stand one evening and he said out of the cedar breaks he saw a full-size bengal tiger
what walk across while he was hunting and walk off into the bushes he's in a 12-foot tripod bow hunt
he called his buddies on the cell phone and said i'm not leaving the stand bring the side by side
to me and get me
and they looked into it and somebody had like a feline sanctuary like a couple miles from there
and it must have gotten out oh full-size tiger and he said like the only thing i can think of is
how many mornings i walked in the dark to my stand that thing was possibly there just watching you
let's not forget tigers are bigger man killers than lions everybody talks about the lines of
savo there was one single solitary female tiger killed more people in nepal than those two lines
combined they killed almost 500 people and like oh my god
seven years or something those videos those tires getting loose in those small villages that those
things are aggressive they're angry at something if we didn't have tigers and a spaceship landed
and tigers got out we'd try to kill every one of them yeah there's like almost they're monsters
there's like almost 2 000 of them in private uh ranches just in texas yeah there's more in texas
than in the wild 2000 yeah you can google it i trust you yeah there's more in texas than there
is in the wilds i got a story when i was telling that one that i need to tell we've told it before
i think i was on
Ducks Unlimited.
- This one's great.
- This was sent in to us by a young woman
woman and uh something that happened to her father and the guys that they worked with they
were working somewhere they had a corporate job pretty boring and one of the guy's names was roger
i believe and he'd never been hunting his whole life he was a city boy but her dad and uncles and
everybody always hunted and so this roger guy would constantly pester them like man i want to
go hunting you think you can take me and they're like yeah sure we'll take you sometime you know
and they just blew it off well this went on for a while a couple years and they were like roger
wants to go hunting roger wants to go hunting so they're like all right all right roger we're
gonna go meet us here we'll take you out to our deer camp they take him out to the land it's
daylight he's never fired a rifle before so they show him how to use it so he can become proficient
with the rifle like this is how you shoot this is how you aim so you work the cycle the bolt
they get him shooting and at first you know he's not too good but he practices for a couple hours
and he's on he's good enough to go hunting yeah so they take him in the side by side and they got
a box blind and they're like this is where you're gonna
hunt all you have to do is get in there if you see deer shoot it and we'll pick you up he's like
okay so he's excited they have an early dinner and they go to sleep they wake up in the morning
everybody's gonna go hunt their different stands they take roger to the stand get him up there make
sure he's okay and they're like all right man we'll pick you up at like 9 a.m just stay here
till then he's like okay cool they leave well as it's going roger's sitting in his box blind it's
going to be a great night and he's never done this before so he's a little excited little nervous and
he said that the stand would rock every few minutes like something's bumping or rubbing
on the stand and he's like man is this normal like i don't i don't know and he's like it keeps
happening every once in a while just like something's shaking it and he's like there's a
hole in the bottom corner of the box blind now i'm assuming that's for people to urinate out of
yeah you know because you don't want to leave the stand so he's like man i wonder if i can shine my
flashlight on my phone and i'm like oh my god i'm gonna die i'm gonna die i'm gonna die i'm gonna die
down in that hole and see what the heck's bumping or rubbing on the stand so he's like all right
that's what i'm gonna do he takes the rifle sets it down in the corner gets his cell phone out
turns the flashlight on and he bends down and he starts trying to shine it through that hole and
up through the hole this big hairy hand grabs his cell phone and pulls it out oh my gosh and he's
like do what so he freaks out he grabs the rifle and he starts shooting through the floor of the
door and he's like what the heck is roger shooting at it's dark in the dark total darkness gunfight
breaks out so they're like well we better figure it out because this guy doesn't know what he's
doing he's clearly just shooting so they jump in the side by side and they drive well they don't
even get to the stand roger's running down the two track and he's like bigfoot stole my phone
bigfoot stole my phone and he's clearly agitated and they're like whoa whoa whoa like what are you
talking about like first of all give me the gun what are you shooting at he's like i shot bigfoot
i think
so like get get in the side by side stay right here we got to figure out what's going on
so they go up to the stand well sure enough there's blood everywhere and they're like well
he clearly shot something they're like yeah you think he's crazy up into that yeah yeah so they
start looking around trying to figure out what the heck he shot and not 20 yards away there was a dead
full-size gorilla gorilla silverback yeah so they called the game warden yeah oh my god what
what
there's they called the game warden and the game warden said yeah there's been an escaped gorilla
five miles we've been trying to find it for weeks bro i'm not expecting that roger's a legend
imagine that's your first time hunting he shot silverback you think he could get it mounted
i would know laughs ass yeah he would have oh my god so roger that's like the poachers category
that's what you get that's where you get them roger never went hunting again he's like clearly this
isn't for me clearly clearly it is though you got a gorilla i go back for a deer when it came out
with a gorilla wonder how they eat oh my god smoke well you'd have to have a big smoker to put one of
them on there dude i go back to the guys that took him yeah imagine those guys you take somebody
that's never been in the woods that's never done any of this and you put them out there you would
panic yourself like what is he shooting at yeah why is he shooting so much there might be cattle
out here there's like what has got him so geeked out that he can't deal with it and then you get
there and hear that story and you're like oh something spooked him right like oh he's being
silly and then you're like there's why is there blood everywhere down here yeah and then that's
when you're like the most this is a problem the emotional roller coaster of that whole morning
golly man right oh that's good i picture it because i know like all of my brother-in-laws
the guys i hunt with would be stoked for a new guy to kill a gorilla that's what i'm saying
you would just be like you killed a gorilla talk about a buck on the wall hunting camp
i can only imagine how scared roger was because like this is your first time hunting and you're
in the dark you got two options man and a hair one is you got to go back to camp and cut your
underwear off yeah dude your day is ruined after that you either live up to the legend or you quit
or you just apparently he quit i can't deal with this i don't want to go hunting what's the worst
that could happen
well what kyle and i talked about is what if he didn't stop with the phone what if he'd grabbed
him by the arm yeah what if he grabbed his wrist you're gonna come out yeah you're gonna come crazy
thing to me though box blinds typically what like at least 10 foot off the ground yeah this was
probably at least maybe 15 or so yeah so the hand i mean that thing was half climbed up and then
that's what that shake through yeah i think of this if he'd been they said that the grill had
been missing a couple weeks two or three weeks for all we know he was raised in captivity so
this gorilla is looking for any person yeah that would where he was like oh why you got to make it
sad well that's what i'm i'm just saying that's what it is he could have been hungry he could
have been thirsty or he just knows interaction with people because he's used to it i know if i
get there they're gonna feed me i like they're gonna do something i like this story better when
i thought he was getting attacked he might have been i mean you don't i mean i don't know i don't
gorilla we don't know i mean like the story was sent to us by a listener so we don't know
to ask the every time we hear roger go roger yeah like clayton the gorilla killer i also loved your
reaction a gorilla yeah he was like what i was not expecting that was very lily of you yeah a gorilla
i got another one if you'd like that's kind of similar where a hunting situation didn't work out
oh yeah uh my sister-in-law her brother he's a big hunter and his daughters play softball
and he was at one of the
his daughter's softball games and one of the other girls on the team her father and brother
same kind of scenario they've never been hunting and they want to so they're constantly asking him
you know can you take us hunting he's like yeah yeah yeah well he gets annoyed and finally his
wife is like just take him hunting man they'll leave you alone he's like all right yeah i got
some land out here uh meet me here and i'll take you hunting so similar thing he's like well first
of all what do you want to hunt for it's not deer season so like you only got a couple options you
can shoot pigs or you can shoot coyotes are you interested in that and the guy's like sure man
take my son hunting he's never been i've never been we just yeah we're fine with that he's like
okay cool we'll come out here i'll bring my fox pro out here we'll call some varmints in something
will probably show up they're always out here so he takes them kind of shows them the same thing
they're not real familiar with firearms but he shows them how to work it and they're using a
thermal scope and then i sit there and try to call in coyotes or some predator bobcat whatever
so he sets the fox pro out there and it's dark out and he's calling and stuff and
nothing's really coming in he's like yeah all right well we just sometimes it takes a while you know
he knows so they're like you know is this normal and he's like well sometimes it is and sometimes
it's not so they continue to call anyways they're sitting out there for about three hours and then
finally he's like give me the give me the gun he's looking through the thermals every once in a while
after they're doing their calls to see and he's like oh yep there's one coming in I see it here
take the gun he gives it to the kid kid's like 13. and the kid trying to find it in the thermal scope
I don't know if you ever use one of those but they're kind of hard to use it's not like a
regular scope everything's off proportions and distances anyways the kid ends up seeing it and
he's like when do I shoot and he's like whenever you want to and he's like okay boom takes a shot
and he's like give me the gun give me the gun give me the gun he's looking and he's like oh
yeah you got it good shot and the dad and the kid are high-fiving yeah yeah this is awesome
good job you know and he's like all right y'all stay here I'll go up there and get it and bring
it back and they're like okay okay so he walks out in the pasture and walks up on it and there
it is it's dead problem is it's not a coyote it's a German Shepherd oh no
it's got a collar on and everything oh my God that's terrible somebody's pet oh yeah so the
father and son quickly realized they didn't shoot a coyote they shot someone's pet and they went
from really excited to really bummed out and he's like I don't think hunting's for us yeah that was
it oh that's brutal so sometimes you're trying to do something nice yeah take somebody introduce
them to the outdoors and just terrible welcome to my game room I got a gorilla holding a German
Shepherd that's my wall of shame
I'd have you mounted life-size a gorilla blind with the German Shepherd leading them
oh my gosh oh yeah it's I mean and then we get stories of like you know of course Bigfoot that's
always one oh yeah yeah and a lot of them are just one-offs like just something simple happened
but then there's people that are like really truly they're affected by it you know a guy that quit
hunting oh yeah yeah I used to hunt with a guy that had a an encounter we were up hunting this
is oh this is back a long time ago uh we were up there for turkey season spring turkey season
of course you know it didn't get dark till like nine o'clock at night so
you're hunting all evening we my brother-in-law and i had gotten to the lease a little late so
they had already been out there hunting and this fella comes tearing back into camp we all had
travel trailers up there you know at the camp and all that he comes tearing back into camp on his
four-wheeler way early we're like did you get anything he's like nope he's really not talking
to anybody not saying much right he goes into his trailer and he comes out and he's packing all of
his stuff now literally he's been there for like a day yeah and he's loading everything up and i
don't mean like coming home i mean throwing stuff in this truck and it just he gets his
four-wheeler loaded up the whole thing we're like where are you going something happened he's like
nah i gotta go i don't want to talk about it just kept going so everybody was like dude what
happened finally got him to tell the story as he was sitting in his stand had his rifle leaned up
had his binoculars out up in a in a ladder stand or in a box blind and he's glassing he was looking
for pigs he doesn't really care you know he's maybe turkey but he's mainly just hunting pigs and he
said he saw something moving he thought it was cattle moving through the cedar trees because
that's when he noticed that this thing was sticking up above some cedar trees and it's this two arms
and it's this head and it's just pushing its way through cedar trees as it's walking and he was
like is that a bear what am i so he's watching he's like it looks like bigfoot and he said he
sees this thing move across go down in the bottom like it was going towards the river
pop back out probably less than 500 yards from him
so he's got a perfect view as this thing is pushing its way through cedars and mesquites walking
and it walks up and over another ridge and down to the river he said the minute that thing got he
goes first of all he never thought about grabbing the gun to like even take a shot at right he's
just watching it like i can't believe this is even happening the minute it got out of sight
he went down loaded everything up he'd he'd hunted and fished his whole life
loaded all of his stuff up through all of his friends giving him a hard time the whole deal
he left that night
came had somebody else one of the other guys bring his trailer back later he sold everything
he quit hunting he quit fishing he never went to the outdoor he never did camp nothing he ended up
passing away of cancer like seven years later he that he was steadfast in his decision that
whole time he never changed his story never changed anything he was like that is exactly
what i saw and that is exactly what happened so just it just freaked him out that bad he was so
freaked out by it that he just couldn't he that's why i think it was a real thing because like he
totally changed his life yeah everything everything he loved he he quit so like it was he making up a
bigfoot story it seems kind of crazy just to quit yeah and not like you're not he's not like he's
going on local news right like it's like never he didn't want to tell you the story never he would
have quit no matter what yeah you knew that story or not yeah and that's what a lot of sightings are
or people are scared of coming forward because they don't want to be judged right so a lot of
people and i think it's much safer now with the invention of podcasts people are more willing to
share their experiences but you go back a couple generations like my grandfather he would never
tell me if he saw something like that no so i used to work with a guy that was a contractor
for the state that we would work together about every quarter he would come in and we would
and he grew up in east texas name was daryl daryl grew up out in east texas he was a little older
than i was he was talking about it was one of those things that he didn't know anything about
our podcast years back we got to talking and then he brought up east texas and i was like oh you run
into the bigfoot out there right at east texas and he was like why do you ask that you know and i'm
like bro it's east texas so then i told him about the podcast so he leaves and he i guess he started
listening because the next quarter he had come back he's like i got some stories i need to tell
you and i'm like all right let's hear them so he tells me where he grew up he's like we didn't have
any money so we lived way out in the country in an old farmhouse and it was one of those
big old creepy farmhouses and he was he told me straight up he goes i was an accident he was like
my brother is like 12 years older than i am 14 years older than him he was like i was legit an
accident you know and his family was much older so he was like i was kind of left to myself you
know and had a few friends but they were we lived miles apart yeah so we would all get together the
way that works he said so one day one weekend he was pumped because his brother that he was closest
to he had like two older brothers and they're the oldest is substantially older you know but his
older brother had come in from the military and was visiting and come in and he said all i wanted
to do was be
a military dude like my brother i just wanted my brother was a tough guy that's what i wanted to
and i think daryl was like nine at the time so daryl he said you know we're all sitting around
the table he's eating dinner and all that and kind of talking and discussing he said we'd been
having trouble with something getting our chickens we weren't sure if it was foxes something coming
in coyotes whatever it was was getting chickens so he said we're sitting there doing all this
everything's great we start hearing the chicken start going crazy it's dark at this point he said
so my brother
jumps up grabs the pistol goes out the front door he said well my brother's doing it i'm going to be
a hero too so he jumps up he said i go out the back door he said so i'm going to run around he
goes i don't know what i'm going to do i'm just going to be part of it right my brother's there
he's like he said i run around the back door he said i'm booking it in the dark to get around to
the chicken house and he said mom had hung a rug on the uh like the clothesline he said i run smack
into it just knocks him flat of his back he said it was wet and dirty and all this stuff he's laughing
about it and he was like man he said my brother comes back in he said i walked back in and my mom
and dad are laughing they're like what happened to you and he was like mom had that rug hanging
up in there and i run into it and she's like i don't have a rug just instantly he was like what
so they get up and go back out there there ain't no rug out there so daryl said when he was a kid
he ran into something that was smelly wet dirty and it had leaves and sticks and all this stuff
and of course he knocked him over and he legitimately thought he ran in to a big rug in the
backyard and he goes we go out there in the light and there ain't nothing out there it's just empty
backyard so he was like oh fast forward a few more years he's like 12 or 13 he said his friends would
come over and all that and he said there were certain times of the year in the spring his dad
wouldn't let him go out because the the uh the mountain lions were out there you could hear them
calling and he was like yeah it's it's
time it's spring they're breeding you don't need to be out there whenever these territories are
over crossing like there could be a problem he said so i tell you that story he goes to fast
forward to this story my daughter is in junior high and she has to do a report she picks mountain
lions so i'm like oh boy i've got all kinds of stuff to tell you about them so he starts telling
her about the stuff that he'd seen and things he'd gone to and all that and she puts together
like a powerpoint for class she's on youtube getting their sounds right so she could put
them all on there he said she's going through all that and he was like oh my god i don't know
that ain't what i heard so he's just sitting there and he won't tell anybody he was like
this doesn't this something's off so he didn't say anything about it he was like okay
he said about three or four days later his son's online and he's watching one of those
finding bigfoots and he hears those calls oh my gosh and daryl was like again didn't say anything
he waited and he goes to his wife after the kids go to sleep and he said i need to tell you this
and he had told her all that his whole life about the mountain lions and all that but he had
never listened to him and she plays that and he was like that's not what i heard he goes this is
what i heard and he is and he goes now it makes me wonder what my dad knew what did my dad know
whoa where he knew not to send us out there like when they're out here making that noise because
he said they would only come by making that noise a few weeks twice a year that was it and that's
when his dad wouldn't let and that's when his dad was like y'all can't go in the woods right now
y'all can't go out there and do any of that right now hey man quit keeping secrets yeah let's talk
if you accidentally shoot a coyote that turns out to be a native american woman
let's talk about that more than once i'm in your life yeah can you bring it up yeah but again that's
old school dudes right yeah that's it's crazy is what it is yeah and daryl he had crazy like he
had a buddy of his i've told this one of his good friends was bass fishing this guy taking his dad
bass fishing they're out there in east texas on one of the lakes cruising around right at dark
you know they get up right before the sun comes up he said i'm in the back of the boat dad's on the
front running and he's like i'm in the back of the boat i'm in the front running and he's like
i'm back there monkeying around sitting down he said dad's just casting up to the bank
dragging out across from the bank he said we're probably not 20 foot 30 foot off the bank just
real slow working around right just pitching over there to it he said i hear water splash
he said i look up dad's just standing on the front of the boat looking just
he said i see movement i think we spooked pigs he goes no he said at this point something real large
from behind the tree to start checking out what's going on they both see it they're like what is it
is this a bear what is it the dad said no whatever that was was at the edge of the water and when it
stood up it just kept standing up no he said this thing was massive they're both looking at it sun's
up it's just starting to pee it's crystal clear he said we're probably not 50 foot from this thing
behind the tree looking dead and he goes we both didn't say anything we're just looking at it dad
quit fishing we watch it he said we're still just trolling by this thing stays behind the tree the
whole time watches them he said we don't stop we don't go he said i'm watching it it's watching me
dad's looking at it he said dad just goes back to fishing he goes we get out he goes we get around
the corner out of sight dad goes i think that's enough for today and he was like yeah i think
that's enough for today and they just go back he goes we didn't talk about it till we're almost
home he goes dad's like was that a bear he goes do you think it was a bear dad he goes well i
hope it was a bear you know what it was one of those deals like nope that was it that was like
god not saying another word about it i said the joke when i was like i'm stoked they're coming on
but i was like it'll be funny to do this before hunting season opens and like i really do regret
it yeah oh yeah that's the worst part because we get them all the time and like like you're saying
when deer season comes i'm like man why did i have to read that now i gotta walk out there and i've
got a recurve bow which i'm not very good with in daylight yeah i'm in the dark and i just read
some story about a bigfoot a hunter you know and i'm like i don't want to i don't want to do this
i'm like maybe it's too cold i try to talk myself at it in the morning i'm like no i think it's too
cold i'll just wait till another well you do y'all know the one about the the bow hunter in arkansas
no i don't think so you could just assume we don't know okay this is this is one of my favorite
stories too a dude kayaks in bow hunting like way back in the woods he has to kayak in he's up in
arkansas this is where he's been dying to go up there right and this this story's all he goes up
gets in his stand he's in his stand sitting there he said he can hear stuff moving he thinks it's
cows he's like who's got cattle way back out here got his bow laying in his lap he's 12 foot up in
a ladder stand he said there's enough moonlight you can see stuff
through the trees moving he was like all right here we go this this is gonna be pretty cool
before the sun comes up he said about this moment he can hear stuff behind him he was like oh maybe
we're gonna have a little action within a few seconds he goes the the only thing he can think
of is the the reflection from the moonlight on his broad head was what was making this cover
because he's or this shimmer because he goes no sooner than i'm sitting there and it finally
quiets down again he said the hand the size of a catcher's mitt
the very hand reaches up and grabs that broadhead because it can see that shine
he said when it closes its hand on it it starts screaming just roaring behind him and then takes
off through the brush so whatever this thing was was tall enough that it could reach up to 12 foot
or so with it at a bow in your lap and grab the arrow without touching the ladder and then he's
like it's a noise of like a bull's beller like you hear an old bull but like 10 times
louder this roar he said this thing starts making racket he goes as soon as it's daylight
enough for me to see i'm gone he goes i get down get back in the act dip like i don't want no more
part of this insane yeah yeah man i'm using a freaking light this season i went in all last
season without a light i'm getting to my freaking tree with a flashlight for sure i used to go
hunting for like weeks on it every morning after after and then after work as well in east texas
and i didn't know any about any of these stories east i don't know i wasn't afraid at all well i
should have been because there could have been a gorilla oh yeah at least of my worries could
have been a german shepherd yeah well you know it's i always tell everybody people get shocked
it's the second largest forest in the united states what is only to alaska the green curtain
in east texas is the second largest forest in the united states wow so that's how much lands there
interesting so you can get back in this place and there's crazy
stories that come out of there like bigfoot campsites where they have found campsites
destroyed people missing blood and nothing else and they're like what did this like there's been
multiple stories of that stuff going down i'll i'll tell you my favorite story which one is this
you're probably getting get the gary story before you get in there i got another hunting story i'll
make i'll make it quick it's nothing this one's not paranormal at all this guy was hunting i think
it was down by colleen texas there's a air force air force base or army base i don't remember
oh it doesn't matter yeah ford hood yeah ford hood yeah
anyways he had a deer he had a deer lease down there and he was up there and um it was early
one morning he got in the stand early before daylight and it was dark and he was rifle hunting
and he said he was just sitting out there and he's there's always these helicopters flying around i
guess from the base and he said one morning he was sitting out there and this black hawk helicopter
was like circling around and doing weird things that he never never usually sees and he said it
stopped and it started hovering and all of a sudden he saw this green looking laser
shoot at the ground and then go up and then the helicopter left
and he's like what the heck is that that's weird he said a few minutes goes by and that
same helicopter comes hovers shoots that laser in the spot again and flies off and he's like i don't
know what they're doing said about 45 minutes later the sun starts coming up and right where
that laser was shooting there's a big buck bedded down it stands up and he shoots it it was looking
at it with their thermals the pilots in the helicopter were shown they could see the hunter
and they could see the deer and they were showing the hunter where the deer was
that's hilarious right shot a big 10 point that more talk about a wingman that's great
right that's awesome thanks guys that is amazing hilarious shoot here yeah yeah all right yeah go
ahead so my this is the one that every this is my probably my favorite bigfoot story of all time
all right we had a guy on the show his name is gary christiansen and gary was a field researcher
for the bfro he was retired uh he was a retired pilot out of the military and then he was a
commercial pilot retired out of that the cool thing about gary is he really knew nothing about
bigfoot till way later in life although he had some strange experiences with himself in the 50s
in oklahoma he'd been fishing and had rocks thrown at him and he thought it was kids messing around
this whole time he's out in the middle of nowhere fishing he had no idea until much later in life
when he people started talking about he was like oh that was a thing so that's kind of what drew
him to it so gary goes on a pheasant hunt i believe it was in south dakota or north dakota
one of the dakotas he goes up to this pheasant hunt and he's got some family that lives up there
invited him up you know so he's hanging out with all that something along the lines is they find
out that he's doing some bfro stuff and getting into that what is that sorry the bigfoot research
the deal the money yeah the whole bigfoot research organization yeah the the that was the bfro was
the thing from finding bigfoot that moneymaker had started and did all this so gary's like i forgot
how it ended up going but he's talking to somebody
and they're like hey you need to go talk to so-and-so and ask about the bigfoot that they
saw when they were kids at the school and they were like oh i do need to go talk to him so gary
shows up knocks on the door he starts talking to the first person he ends up talking to a lady
the lady says yeah we were in kindergarten and she said we were all out on the playground
and having a great time everything was we were just living our best kindergarten life
and we start hearing roars and apparently where this is also back when there was no fences around
right we were just school and everybody went crazy there was a creek that ran along the outside
edge kind of was like almost like the dividing line of you don't go past to the creek you know
this is your playground for the school they start hearing roaring and calling and all kinds of stuff
coming from the other side of that creek they said out of the creek during this roaring comes
bigfoot this thing comes crawling up out of the creek grabs a stump like hurls it at the kids
the teachers are running around the kids are freaking out and they're like oh my god we're
freaking out cops race up somebody called the cops the cops race up jump out start whipping
rounds at it with their pistols kids are everywhere they're in front of the you know boom the kids are
watching the cops shoot the bigfoot everything's going crazy right bigfoot runs off that was the
deal he was like was anybody else there can i talk to anybody else about it she was like yeah
there's like three of her friends that went to school they're still living in this town
she gives them all this he goes and talks to each one of them same story like they remember he's
like we don't camp we don't do anything in the outdoors like these people are messed up from
this stuff here so she was like one of the last people that he talked to said you know what our
teacher she's still alive you can go talk to her she's here in town so he was like oh it's going
down now like i'm gonna get a different perspective of what went down and adults take yeah an expanded
perspective exactly some might say some might say so he goes and he knocks on the day's door and the
door and he's you know talking to her quizzing her about all this and she was like yeah every bit
of that happened every bit of it but you need to go talk to the principal to get the full story
and he was like yeah and she so he was like yeah he's just right around the corner so he used to
love this guy was in his 80s at the time that that gary goes to speak to him he gets there and he was
like i'm here because of this this and this you know this whole story i just told you all and
these people have sent me there what can you tell me about it he was like yeah it was me
and he there's gary's like do what he's like i was the bigfoot he goes it they don't tell you it
was halloween he's like we set this all up with the cops to do a thing for the kids to scare him
yeah and gary goes did you tell the children it was a joke and he goes nah i don't guess we ever
did he goes do you realize what you did to several dozen human beings like the four that live in this
town yeah are terrified yeah it has completely changed their lives
experience as kindergartners this is the stuff that stuck with them imagine they were telling
everybody they know this is the encounter i had with bigfoot i watched police in my town try to
kill it and it ran off i'm not going to the woods like that's not happening again ever how many
therapists you just funded oh yeah exactly so he was like gary's like have you told these so
basically gary collects all this information and then personally goes back to each one of those
kids that are adults now and says man yeah because
that teacher was like yeah it was all a thing for halloween but yet they failed to tell all the kids
yeah and the reason it's my favorite and kyle and i talk about it all the time is it's the exact
same thing with all the stories that i've just told you it does you don't know if it's real or
fake yeah but the way it what it does to you is exactly the same you're still affected by it so
they know now for a fact it's fake but they've been affected by it for over 40 years of their life
- So they're traumatized, that's what it is.
is it's the way it affects you so we have no idea like there's no way unless it's happened
directly to you that you would know it was real i thought you were about to say all the stories
we told were fake there was a man in that gorilla suit yeah it was the principal it was a little
person and we principal inside that german chat and we finally got him for all that stuff they
