Welcome to the acclaimed podcast, the deep dive. Featuring your esteemed hosts, Andy Monitor and Drew Dinsick, powered by Betspers. Welcome to the deep dive. We are entering the home stretch. We have the AFC South and the NFC South left to go, Andy. We're going to do AFC South first because it's more fun. And we're going to start with the Titans. We're going to get the shit out of the way right off the back here. As we do. As we always do on Mondays. Sorry. I feel like we do this backwards. Why? Because Mondays, Mondays, I'm Garfield. Oh, no, no. Second, then we always do that. I know it's fun to end on the island. I'm usually like my, I you know, maybe the listeners would disagree, but my Monday effort is usually pales in comparison to my Wednesday effort just because I'm a little, I got a little cobwebs from the weekend affecting my performance. And maybe you read it. The most arguments we get from people are people being but hurt in comments because they're clearly just massive fans of a team. You read the comments? No, I, yes, it looks so wild. You read those comments? I try not to. Honestly, I hate reading the comments unless they're nice because I have terribly thin skin, but the people know I'm fine. The people who argue the most and are mad that we don't think their team's going to win the Super Bowl, it's never the fourth place teams. Those people usually have a pretty good grip on, hey, I'm a Cardinals fan. I'm a Raiders fan. Life is, life is what it is right now. It's the ones that are in the second and third place slots. I just respected this and we've got, I was going to say, we've got Jalen Hertz to really give it away. And the team that really feels like they should be, you know, far away. Super Bowl contender this year. I'm a little down on, little down on the Eagles compared to how Eagles fans will feel about it. So the Titans, I think we can all agree are a bottom five team, bottom four team, bottom three team Drew, stop me when the Yodler gets where he's supposed to be here. Bottom three. Three, I think I'm 29 or two or 30 form up to double check. They've vacillated between the I'm 30 for me. Okay, I think I'm 29. Little higher. Oh, no big deal. And it was a, it was a goofy year because I don't know right enough. You probably know the two, the two teams that are below me. One of them made news today. You have the 49ers at low? No, no, the Cleveland Brownies and the Sean Watson, they're going to do it. I know there are so many people that were like surprised. They got to, they got to try to see if they can get one last. I guess wasn't his press conference literally wasn't his press conference literally like I'm like to me, I read as like don't do this. His press conference read me is like in a rested development bit. Yeah, it's like Tobias. Like I sure are these people mad at me? I don't understand like it was like some bad comedy. Anyway, we're not here to talk about Browns. We're here to talk about the Titans. Um, least agree, just the second most agree, just think they happen in Ohio anyway. And I guess like you don't. Yeah. Would you, you would be sincerely surprised if they don't finish fourth in the South, right? There's upside here. And I think there's at least two teams in this division that have enough downside. And you never know, you know, a quarterback could get her. Who's the second best player on this team? Agtala. The second best player on the Titans. I kind of dare you to name a guy. They have one good player, Andy. I mean, we, we just extolled the virtues of Jonathan Franklin Myers a bunch when we talked about, when we talked about him exiting his pre-mission. That would have been my answer. Yeah. Who's won Skaronsky? Kidding. No, it's clearly Jeffrey Simmons. Simmons won John Franklin Myers. Ridley Ridley, it's funny. Your two best players are they played the same position. You're just a couple of interior defensive linemen. Yeah. Ridley has upside one deal Robinson is like, well, he was a thousand-yard receiver last year. Um, he's not a bad slot player. I don't know. You're kind of, you don't know, you never know your cast off from the giants who were formed 12 or whatever they were, 413. You're picking up their cast off. He was prodigy. He was, dude, Drew, he was a productive player and a bad team sometimes. You got one Dale Robinson and Cordale Flot from the giants. Yeah. Because the giants, like, did the giants look to their performance in 20, 25 and they said, you know what? Good luck out there, guys. That's not a good sign. Yeah. Such is life with, I mean, they can't all be winners, you guys. It's still a team. I'm going to name players with some upside. I think I could go there, but there's also like 15 players on this team that are average to Cordale Flot below average. And yeah, like the carnal tape thing is exciting. You draft a receiver that high and you're going to be mad if he's that good because he drafted a receiver that high, but he's got, he's got a chip chair in the chance to play pretty damn well. Well, I feel like I'll be, I'm going to be surprised if he finishes as wide receiver one among the rookies. Don't you think? It feels like a long shot. I would be, I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm not saying just because he was drafted that high, he should be favored. It's like five, there's like five receivers in here and get plenty of volume. And then there's always three or four that were drafted in the second round that are suddenly like, hey, this is. We take us. Yeah, the Jacobi lanes of the world. There's going to be, you know, eight or ten rookie receivers that kept decent volume. So yeah, it's you're just hoping you see something from them this year. And you're hoping, I think the hope for the season for your Titans fan is that you have the old, there needs to be a name for this. And I need to come up with something, maybe the chat or the listeners can come up. The guy who's like, clearly, clearly, it's really good coordinator, but just sucks as a head coach. And I think that's what you're hoping for at a table. Because I like the, I love tables, they'll see. I was nervous you were talking about Callahan last year. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll see. We'll see how good I was out of his depth in several, several ways, obviously. So maybe, yeah, sliding into the off season, the biggest Josh McDaniels, that is exactly at Sam. Yes, you're hoping that Brian Dable is the Josh McDaniels of your organization. All right, let's get serious here about this. Callahan, they're anymore. What happened? Where did they, did they finish the 14? They lost, it's crazy. It's not even like some super strong division. They went on six, in division, Callahan, Gonzo, he brought in Salah, who might be a Josh McDaniel. We don't know, he's getting a second chance now. Maybe he's, maybe he's a, maybe he's a Sam Darnold though, where it's like, Hey, your first chance was that with the Jets, that doesn't count. Maybe he's a Todd Bowles though, where he runs a good defense, and his team will be good, so long as his OC is producing. Yeah, and Todd Bowles case, he just keeps losing OCs, didn't all right. So Callahan fired three and 14, crazy that there were three and 14 still didn't draft first overall. There were, there were fourth worst teams than that somehow. Camps, Camp Ward survived. I played like every game, which was, I guess, surprising at that time. He had, the team was in flux. He had the eighth most dropbacks of any quarterback last year. He played a lot. Got a lot of reps. A lot of reps. Where they productive reps though, in terms of his development, I would argue no. And that's really what mattered, right? Yeah, I don't know. I'm not getting a ton of positive buzz from Camp. He threw 15 touchdowns, seven interceptions last year. Yards per attempt were pretty low grades. Anywhere you want a grade of quarterback, they weren't very high. And that's the thing too, when you have a dying coaching tree that's just kind of floundering out, everybody knows there's going to be a change in regime at some point. It does kind of fuck with the development. So I'm willing to keep an open mind on him. He was outplayed as a quarterback. He was outplayed by everyone except for our Sanders. JJ McCarthy had a better EPA per play than him. Gino Smith had a better EPA per play than him. Let's, let's break down Camp Ward. First half, second half of the season and just see, was there any reason to get anything? anything to Gleam Gleam. - I don't even want to do that. I want to Gleam it 100% off. Where was Dable before he was a giant? - He was in Buffalo. Right? - Yeah. - Okay. Can Ward's the next Josh Allen? Is that where you're saying? - I'm saying, yeah, like, of all the dudes, it's like, hey, - I guess there's signal in that Dable chose this job. There was a lot of offensive coordinator openings. And if he wanted to work with a Josh Allen type of established quarterback, he probably could have found his way into one of those openings. He elected to go this path and will come to Tennessee with Sala to try to develop Kim Ward 'cause it was an exciting opportunity. And, you know, certainly there's a, certainly there's a some signal there. - Is there a better example of a rookie quarterback being like, "Dee, not gonna make it," but he has some things that we don't think we can fix it though. And then when we fixed it, I'm really grasping for straws. I'm just saying. - Yeah. - Well, that's the thing. In general, I think, - How much did the Kim Ward tape did you watch last year? - I tried not to. I mean, I watched a lot of the games. I watched a lot of the Titan games. - You stepped on my first half, second half of the year thing, which was actually, the signal there was actually like, he was substantially better over the second half of the season than he was over the first half of the season. And it didn't really have to do with the quality of defenses he played 'cause he played some tough defenses over the second half. But he was like, his first half of the season, he was a minus 0.2 EPA per play quarterback. That is like, you can't win with that. Like, that's just too many mistakes. And when you watch the tape, at least over the first half of the season, the mistakes were pretty consistently like, holding onto the ball too long, letting the pressure eat him alive, making bad decisions under pressure, and not really being able to create anything out of structure. He got a little bit better at dealing with the pressure over the second half of the season. This game slowed down a hair, but it was pretty clear he was working with a subpar set of weapons in the passing game. He had no complimentary run game. It was an absolute dog shit system he was running in. And so it never really kind of came together to where you saw the glimpses that you saw even from a Tyler Schuck. I wouldn't say that you would have, like, you come out of last season's tape with the rookie quarterbacks and you're like, Dylan Gabriel, he is a forever backup. Shoot or Sanders, that is an incomplete because the system he was in was so poor. Cam Ward, it's somewhere between incomplete and I don't know that I'm seeing what I need to be seeing from him from a just a developmental system that you're just a developmental project that kind of suggests he's going to take a meaningful step forward into year two. I think realistically, this is an easy, easy call to just let's just see what he does this year with more weapons, with a better system and see if he kind of looks better in the second half of this year than he does in the first half of this year. Because in the first half of the preseason game we saw him take steps in Andy, he was bad, bad, bad. And it was the same shit that plagued him in the first half of last year where he was just holding onto the ball too long, not making decisive decisions. Like he wasn't taking the easy place. He was either letting the negatives overwhelm him or just generally unable to string consistent good plays together. And I think it's got me pretty convinced that Cam Ward is not a throw away by any stretch of the imagination. He should continue to be invested in as you are the Titans organization. And you hope that by the end of this year, Dable is singing his praises and Robert Salah feels like he's got the answers going forward on offense. - Oh my God. - And then, Kerry, Kerry on. - Yeah. - We're at, they really did. You talked about the surrounding cast and that was a big, who was leading receiver for the Titans last year? In yardage and receptions. - Was it the aluminum or kid? Well, I was gonna sing aluminum. It was the Stanford kid, right? - I am honor. - I am, I am honor. - I am honor, I don't ever. - Yeah, and he had good chemistry. - You're incorrect. That is not the correct answer. - He was not the leading receiver. Was it one of the Rhinebacks? - Tidend. - Tidend. - A con quo. - Tidend. - Chega con quo is the number one receiver. - 56 receptions. Your next leading receiver was DK with 48. 560 yards. You read about I am honor being second. He was 35 yards behind him. But yeah, that kind of speaks to it. You missed a half a season. More than half a season of Calvin Ridley. You were breaking in a couple rookies while you were breaking in a rookie quarterback. It was, it was a tough ask for him, especially with what they're putting together for an offense and game plan as well. - DK was an all pro and what? - What is he returning kicks? - He must have been a kicker turner, must have been. I certainly wasn't receiver of the 48 receptions, 423 yards. Your top receiver was con quo, 560. - He was. - That's not great. - He was a pro bowler and your AP all pro. - One first teamer. - Yeah. - First teamer. They had two, Jefferson. So maybe the answer is DK is your second best player after Jefferson, it's because he was the other way that I'll pro in your team last year. All right, seriousness though, the cam word over the first half of last season was really remarkably bad. And he was just okay bad in the second half of the season. And I think if he's okay bad over the first half of the season and averaged to good over the second half of this season, then the time to buy the stock is at that point with cam word. I don't think it's right now. - Yeah, I'm willing to give it some time with the table bringing in the system. And a bit of a rebuilt interior line. Like I mentioned, you get the rookie receiver, I will not let you shit on Juan del Robinson. I just want it because, it's just not, like he's not exciting, but it's like down on it. - No, it's just, is he a top 20 wide receiver in football? Probably not, right? - Yeah, but like I said, your leading receivers were catching like 40 balls for 400 yards. - Sure, sure. - He had 92 for a thousand on 131 targets. He might just be your safety blanket, volume guy out of the slot. And maybe that's what this rookie needs. He wasn't throwing a deep, or it wasn't completing a lot of deep stuff anyway. So maybe we need that. And then now that you have a couple of decent receivers with Ridley and Tate on the outside, maybe it does open up a little more. We'll see anything else on last year before we start to get into the off-season. - What happened to Ridley last year? - He broke his fibula, missed 10 games. - Okay, is that, is your building into your, it sounds like your building into your projections a little bit of, he could contribute this year and is your 32 season coming off of a broken fibula. - Honestly, breaking a bone is much less damning, I think, than these soft tissue injuries. Like, I'd rather see you snap a leg than, you know, have to get an ACL repair. - Okay, he's still decent enough. I think he was doing, oh, I mean, what did he have in his seven games for stats? Obviously, not as much as Chiga Conco. - 17 catches for 300 yards and no touchdowns is not great. I would say that, yeah, I mean, the tightness season last year was memorable for the ridiculousness of how unprepared Callahan was to be the coach and it was ridiculous that they beat the Arizona Cardinals week five after a game where they were probably less than 1% win probability in that one. Came back to win, thanks to some truly absurd shit. Don't need to remember that one in greater detail. The Browns win is sort of the one that, I definitely remembered well, thinking like, here we go. We're into the, you know, you can't, now is the by-low time on this tightness squad to plan the Browns and now was a really sweaty, sweaty win. They ultimately were successful offensively against the Niners, the Chiefs and the Saints down the stretch, but belly flopped their finale against the Jaguars. And yeah, I think everything in terms of the moves that were made were correct in terms of cleaning house. And yeah, tightness in general, not a well-run franchise. - No, a lot of negatives on last year. My positives were Jeffrey Simmons, another first team all pro, just like, a community kick. Very good defensive tackle. Skaronsky, only allowed two sacks. Definitely the anchor and they rebuilt around him a bit. Cedric Gray, a little bit of a fun breakout on a terrible defense. A defense that gave up 28 points per game. Nice little, nice little run stopper. Can't cover anybody, but maybe you can't win them all. God, what else, what else was that? Oh, Tai-Jay Spears was okay. He didn't get a lot of. Volume behind Pollard, but he's a nice nice change of pace. And then honestly, I had to Vandrish sweat is having a nice here He's not on the team anymore. He's gone. Yeah, he's got receiver room sucked past protection sucked coverage was abhorrent and we move on to the 2026 offseason where they traded to Vandrish sweat in exchange for Jermaine Johnson the second you will be on the outside Likely next to Jeffrey Simmons straight player for player swap no picks involved Sala actually drafted Johnson For the first round. Yes. Yes So I don't know if that's what they were hoping for, but Traded a nose tackle for an inch and honestly, they have Simmons and Franklin Myers now the complain side We mentioned they got Franklin Myers for agency from Denver biggest defensive contract But this class he had seven and a half sacks last year. We extolled his virtues on the Bungie Broncos pod We're excited about that not excited about Your new starting corner or duel of a Lonte Taylor and Cordell Flott We're getting each getting three years and like 50 million dollars, which is a bunch for You know a couple of a couple of guys I mean neither of them create out very well and I mean Taylor Taylor's getting a decent amount of money for He feels like he was Yeah, it's like top 10 corner money essentially For Lonte Taylor at this point Which is um, which is something He did finish excuse me flot finish the season on the IR with a week 16 knee injury one Dale Robinson obviously I'm jacked about we've talked about him plenty Mitch Trebus. He's on this team now as a backup Safety uh safety net there a couple other they did get a few more giants. So too Another couple former giants Schlotman The Selinger on the tee Belinger the tight end um God who else from somebody on the Titans poke his eye on I maybe and the jacks robins that might have been Might have been Devin Lloyd with the jacks and forgetting who poked Belinger in the eye, but it was a gross injury Cordel Cordel Wilson a little hard to grade Um, he's probably your starting red guard Uh, it is funny that there's a super surgery Yeah, we've gone to the uh, we've gone to try and fix this team Andy and we added a car now a cordel and a cordel That is something Yeah cordel Wilson missed all of 25 with the shoulder surgery kind of a uh, you know, give him a one-year deal See if it works out a right guard If it's if it does you're pretty happy and he's happy too because he's getting paid again after this year with a little bit more money uh Solomon Thomas and Jordan Elliott's added to this defensive uh rotation up front Jacob Martin signed in free agency rotational veteran at the defensive end spot and then as I mentioned they lost to Wagner Sweat they lost uh God Sneat where did Sneed go you just went right back to Casey back to Casey Sneed which I don't know I It's not like he had a A banner season cushionberry released in What February like right away Cut it was the they called the off ramp because he had a pretty big deal He was getting paid a bunch and they had a chance to get rid of him and they went with Schlotman instead You lost Chig a conco The man the myth the legend most productive pass catcher on the roster um You have Gunner Hellbent Daniel Belinger you'll be fine Joseph Speschen day you lost On the interior and then Ardenky Kevin Zitler He was super old. He is not on a team anymore anyway Your punter is gone Jenny Hickers now what in Minnesota and Brandon Allen Back up quarterback. I don't know if that's a huge loss The drafts we obviously mentioned Cornell Tate a couple times Highest draft and receiver and franchise history is your day one starting at surprise at fourth overall Yeah, there's a little surprise, but it's fun It's exciting if you're eight. Who did you have mocked? Do you remember? I would have to look I felt like it was defense because this defense stinks out loud Um Reese or Bailey or did you have do you probably didn't have I went Reese Bailey two three A lot of people have loved penciled in here or pending yeah They thought he was gonna probably get past the cardinals and the Tennessee Titans. We're gonna pair him with Ward as a weapon Um, they went with Tate instead, which I personally that was like uh That was kind of in the moment of the draft. It was a surprise and it was like oh man. The lights may be on in that For an office Mike Borgonsi might have a pulse Mike Borgonsi mentioned um All right later they did trade up with Buffalo and take another first round pick I'm Kildrick a folk Edge rusher wasn't as impressed by that move No, and he's not a starter right now. He is definitely rotational behind Like Johnson and and Martin at that spot. So uh, oh see if he works his way in right to He got actually Tate got knocked hard in camp about a week ago, but I don't have anything on fault injury wise Uh, they drafted a linebacker Anthony Hill out of Texas in the second round He is not projected to start because you have Cody Barton at the middle linebacker spot or the mic Pat Cougan you drafted another center in case Schlotman doesn't work out and Use from Indiana like that. So he played like 18 games last year. No rookie wall. Don't worry about it A few more depth pieces of guard in the fifth round or running back They came one of the picks that came back in that folk trade and then a another tight end in the seventh round Who is on injured reserve and will not play this year as we mentioned solos your new coach Debel your OC Gus Bradley is your DC, but don't let that scare you too much because solos calls the defense And I guess what we're gonna expect is a lot of what we saw in San Francisco during both his 10 and 10 years It should be a lot of what you see in you know San Fran and Seattle wide nine cover three a lot of simulated pressure using Franklin Myers in a fun way and I'm excited for the defense outside of the fact that I'm worried they won't be able to cover anyone Yeah, I mean San Francisco's defense was not top 20 last year were they? No, it was it was a pretty banged up I mean the injuries ultimately derailed things, but it wasn't that much more talent or roster than this roster No, so Hopefully solos can do something there Let's thank Circa we're heading to Circa this week in three days my wife will drive me to the airport two days now And I will head out I'll meet you in Circa and we'll have a sandwich and we'll record a fun podcast that day and we will Radio Row on radio row up there for sign-up weekends the thanks to them And if you are interested I had somebody reach out I made a fun little joke because I hate doing the same ad read over an oversized throw and Something to keep my mind moving and I said hey, you can sign up in sparks And I legitimately had a guy who's like hey, I'm stopping in Reno for like part of a day I'm going to ex you know, and he's like I'm going to sign up and he had a bunch of questions And I didn't have the best answers for I'm going to do a little research and we got him squared away um The proxy situation might be tough in sparks uh see he has uh He has a friend that lives there Okay, that will probably me he was hoping would work out. He'd be willing We just had to be really clear that guy has to show up to the casino with you when he's gotta be with you Yeah, there there are proxies up in Reno But yeah, they I don't think it's the hey, there's like five proxies just hanging out in the sports book at all times this week Like you have at Circa in Las Vegas If you are signing up in sparks or Reno or any of the outlier ones You may want to call a proxy ahead of time and say this is the time and the date. I'll be there So they're at the casino at that time if you are an out of towner But if you have any other questions, I don't mind. I'm not complaining I like helping people out. I like people getting into the contest that maybe haven't played it before So I'm wishing him the best luck Hopefully he finishes in the second place or we split with him either way Which is the sparks uh, what's the what's the casino in sparks? I have no idea western village in Sure that okay Um, yeah, I think it's right. It's right next to the sparks marina, which was an old quarry that they filled in with water Now, let's say I was gonna say I do believe Nevada is landlocked Yeah, it is Maybe it's just a big lake we have marinas here too, but they're only one of the big lakes. Yeah, it's a former former quarry Yeah, anyway Please yeah, let's rate these guys uh, the um Should I pick out your playing movie at by the way Oh, I don't know I watched Marty Supreme last trip out, and then I slept in the way back. I hopefully am that next to a nursing mother this time that was unnerving. It was unnerving, um, miracle life, but that was something that surprised me. Yeah. And I took a glance over, oh, abreast, um, so I can watch a double feature, a little project tell Mary in the Odyssey on, on the, uh, on the phone like the director's intended. Maybe I will watch Project Hill Mary again. I saw that in the theater. All right. Let's rate these guys. They got to go, uh, eventually here. All right. And I can see. Yeah. Shit, man. I feel very, very optimistic with a 2.9 for these guests. It's very funny, um, about once a week out of what 10 ratings each for four teams of 40, we match. We'll land on the same number. Okay. I had a 2.9 as well. It wasn't a great rookie year. My optimism for this number, mostly realized and table being able to produce, um, with, you know, scraps at times in New York. Yeah. What he did. I mean, presumably cam ward is better than Jackson Dart. Or else everybody would have been clamoring that Dart should have been the first overall pick last year instead of cam ward. Yeah. Uh, table did okay with Dart, he should be able to do okay with cam ward, but I got to see it. Uh, I am. Maybe. Yeah. Yeah, dude. And the game just needs to clearly slow down for him to where he's just putting more consistent strings of good plays together because right now they're just too few and far between. And they're interspersed with very negative plays drive killers. Anyway, um, skilled position group is one of the worst in football. I'm trying that a 3.0, I would take them over Miami, but maybe that's the only team I would take them over. A little higher, 3.6, I'm, I try not to give much for a rookie because I consider it a complete unknown and, um, who knows how to use them. But when it's somebody that's drafted that high, you got to give it a little bomb, Ridley, just by this age should produce it a little. And then as I mentioned, seven or eight times, I do like Wendell Robinson quite a bit on paper. I do feel that Wendell Robinson and it's not a bad trio. And I do like that he's a, you know, a high volume slot guy that might help cam ward out in certain spots. Tony Pollard, quietly decent. He's my, he's my running back 29. Yeah, he's like, uh, he's there. He's going to give you, you know, a thousand yards and like 250 carries. I think that's roughly what he had last year. I like Taiji Spears more. I wish he would get the ball more. He was, you know, he only got like 100 touches, but when he did get the ball, he was grating up pretty well for me. And then Helm and Belinger, it's just a matte tight end room. So 3.6. It's 30 second best tight end room. Um, I, let's see where I have what, Wendell Robinson, now I'm curious. I have number one, number one slot, bad number two behind, um, I, I suppose I better put him three. It's the same brown lamb and then Wendell, yeah. He is wide receiver 25 for me. Very, very possible that he loses the job to, uh, um, no, the, the wide receiver one target share to Tate over the balance of the season. So worth keeping an eye on that, I guess, for usage based, uh, offensive line, uh, is a tricky one because some people really hate Dan Moore. I think he's pretty spot on average. I think Skronsky is good. Schlotman, I have among, I think actually he's my second worst center in, yeah, he's number two. So the second worst center I have graded, uh, and Cordell, Volson is a minus, Tracy Latham. So far he's been a minus, but he's still got some youth and I don't know if he is a throwaway candidate. Yeah. What do you think? Oh, yeah, I'm, I'm higher than you here and I'm, I'm willing to drop this down if you can talk me into it. But yeah, Schlotman is, yeah, I don't, I don't know. I don't have much for creating on him. I don't mind the left side, like Dan Moore is fine. Maybe slightly above average, Skronsky is your, uh, your anchor there. Cordell, Volson is the negative for me. Latham, Latham, what are we saying now? Latham. I think Latham. I have him as a minus. So basically I have. I am. And I was like, I am. Almost the minus and Latham minus. So basically the entire right is not doing it for me. This is a 2.9 unit and it is the worst offensive line in football. And by the way, it's worth noting Brian Dable was never able to overcome the limitations of having the worst offensive line in football in New York. I thought, whether Andrew Thomas was injured for the Giants, their offensive line was really, really bad. I thought that was kind of what undid, any planning or ideas that Dable wanted to try to incorporate. So that has to be cool. Latham was on the, uh, he had a little July pop stint. He's back and healthy, hopefully he's fine. There were some rumbles early in camp that Cougan might push Schlotman at center. It doesn't look like that's going to be the case. It's, uh, projected to be Austin Schlotman snapping the ball. I'm at a four. I feel like I'm high now that I think gets like my 27th best offensive line. I have a lot of, I have a lot of offensive lines from like in this range. The interior turnover is the question mark here with the, if Austin and Schlotman fail, this is like a two because then it's, it's crowd skewn some guys. So right now, foreign has this the 30th best O line, four for four, 28th, F T N 30 second. Other public rankings are kind of in the 27th to the 31st ballpark. So it's going to take a surprisingly positive set of outcomes for these guys too. I think surprise to the good and hit anything better than bottom five. And that's fun. I mean, that's, you know, it, you've only invested. You've invested decent free agency money and Dan Moore long term stability and Peter Skronski and tons of draft capital and JC late them. So, um, yeah, you've tried to address the problem and you can't seem to do it. In fact, does the offensive line, like, does, does the fact that it didn't come together last year with kind of a God tier O line coach scare you a little, but I mean, there's a bunch of turnover here to it and Wilson is truly a kind of a wild card here. If he plays well, let's say he's a 60th percentile guard. We didn't see him play last year. He was off all year with shoulder surgery. If he plays above average, he got Skronski and the other side, Schlotman might get lifted up by the rising tide that is two decent guards. And then suddenly you might just have a little weakness at right tackle. And this is a, you know, you're 26th best offensive line and then people are probably excited about that. And Kim Ward's not getting murdered, at least, so yeah, it's, there's not a lot of room for excitement. I'm really, again, grasping at some straws to try to make myself feel a little better. So I will probably take a look at my offensive line number and adjust down defense offensive line coach. Randy is a fellow named Carmen Brasileo, Brasileo, Carmen Brasileo. Carmen Brasileo, of course, from Shilotka, Pennsylvania, 50-year-old gentleman who played center in college or high school and college at Dickens. Yeah, you see what his hair style looks like? I haven't looked, I haven't, every coach on the steam is bald. They're all. He looks just like, he's the bald, yes, oh, yeah, he's just, he's just table. Yes, oh, yes, I'll, I see it, I see it. He was the Raiders of Line Coach for two years, bad, bad. He was the Giants of Line Coach for two years, bad, he's had a rough go. He has, he did coach in New England for a couple of years under some smart coaches there that was still the tail and a bell check. He was at Youngstown State, did anything happen in Youngstown this week? That's interesting, but yeah, it was nothing that I followed. Nothing can I think of. All right, so this is a, this is a bottom five offense for both of us. Run stop, I'm a 4.7. Okay, I'm a 4.4. Pass rush, I mean, five flat. What? Jeffery Simmons involves, it gets us over five, almost by himself. I know, but I just, I don't have any good grades on anybody that's not Simmons and Myers. I'll come up with a chip, maybe. Jermaine Johnson is fine. Well, Swiss, he was, I think he might have been the jet's best pastor. He was he was in a weird spot because that's what he was in that run. He was he was not grading well But he had in it at 2024 Achilles. Yeah, he was coming off injury. So I kind of want to bump up for him You lost ardent key Jacob Martin grades poorly like Falk Falk is my case for it like if he works out Uh, it's a rotational guy. He bumps you up a little because you're you're all interior no outside right now Well, I wanted this number high because I just want to be I want it flagged For my own eyes as a reminder when the Tennessee Titans are going up against an interior past protection unit that sucks Because Jeffers Simmons is going to make somebody stay admissible Yeah, and that could matter with Franklin Myers next to coverage 2.7 Ah 2025 corner group he's gone 3.3 for me Sneed Baker, Elon McCurray everybody you brought in a lot of Taylor a lot of his snaps were mostly in the slot for New Orleans Now he's an outside guy Cordell Flott Okay, but he's coming off in the entry at the end of the year It's not a good starting outside duo your safeties were a money hooker and what Kevin Winston playing as well It's not a strong safety group Your best safety last year was Xavier Woods and he's gone Uh Marcus Harris probably playing some nickel It's a very weak uh coverage unit and then I didn't talk at all about my runstop but It's a lot of Simmons again And then you do have some uh Yeah, Franklin Myers and all right Franklin Myers and Elliott are kind of pass rush first guys So you're going to depend on Marshall or you're going to depend on Kaelin Saunders some of the rotational guys and as I mentioned Cedric Gray Yeah, I'm at a 3.3 maybe I'm high My defensive rating overall is 45th percentile 45.5 so 46 percentile, which is good enough for 21st in the NFL So there's worst units out there I guess maybe where my head is at is what we've covered so far any this feels a lot like a Jets or Jans team to me That's not very nice Yeah There's a lot of giants on this too There's a lot of jazz on there's some jets on this too Yeah, Robert Salah you have to stink of Salah Gus Bradley's involved at least That should help elevate something in these things, right? Maybe that's worse. All right um Well the one we really differed on I'm higher on special teams Well, yeah, they have the freaking they have the all first all pro Or the first team all pro for kick return that is part of the suitcase He was good hackers gone, but they brought in Tommy Townsend to punt Tommy Townsend is a damn decent punter You have a experienced long snapper you have Joey Slider coming back Um, yeah, it's a it's a good special teams not great And total final rating is he basically a negative four Yeah, mine is a bit basically a negative four also we're we're almost the same number even though our percentiles are a little different Yeah, what is your uh win projection error? I'm at like 5.9 markets at like 6.4 I think 4.7 for me Okay 4.7 I have this as Um a somewhat difficult schedule sent that bad I guess let's take a look at that Uh, actually, that's a good point Andy. I got to upload it because I was late today Um, but I The power was out of us coast Yeah, fair enough um The um the market is implying six and a half wins based on the schedule. It is the 18th toughest in the NFL Um, pretty difficult past defenses that they got a face Um, which is gonna make things tough for the progression of mr. cam ward. They do start out Andy as two and a half point favorites How about that? It's crazy. There's two of these games where we have just else we just have two dog shit versus dog shit games to start the year out Do you have an inclination just take the dogs in those dog shit games? It's just money line parlay jets dolphins Good. I mean, it's honestly like did you watch Gino the other day Did he look okay? It was no, it wasn't awful like I didn't watch that game Um, and even if we do believe in dable I don't think it's going to be a day one. Hey, you just turned round freaky friday at it and suddenly it's a different person Uh, let's quickly count the prime time games before we move on Hey Every game is a 1 p.m. Sunday start except for two at Jacksonville 4 p.m. Start at Las Vegas 4 p.m. Start One of them for some reasons at Jacksonville. That's still an East Coast game like I know That's just that it's fun. And they're just like they're like whatever Um, the uh the Sunday December 27th one is funny because it's potentially a heads up between last year's 1.01 and this year's 1.01 If it's Mendoza v. Ward Um feels like that's why they put that there Oh, also we want we want to do yeah We have uh Revenge angle for stala i can't well not only that but the the they made a trade who was the who's the other player Now I can't think of uh Johnson Johnson for sweat go ahead for Johnson. Yeah, you're right for Johnson They're facing up a double revenge for those uh defensive lineman, but yeah, there's a lot of hey You go to Baltimore. Hey, you go to Cincinnati. Hey, you go to Dallas and Jacksonville back to back at Detroit at Houston to close the season It's uh I can see glimmers in the second half of the season with those two and a half one and a half point spreads that The scheduled gods are giving them the potential to get to sixish wins If they put put some solid play together in the back half of the season if Jeffrey Simmons is healthy if cam Ward is if the game is finally slowing down from um It's really going to depend on the quality of the you know the injury status of some of these other quarterbacks, right Like what's going on with Jaden Daniels and Daniel Jones and Mendoza and Aaron Rogers when you play these teams Um I'm not seeing a lot of optimism in the schedule certainly not at the beginning half No A lot of travel bonuses. Yeah, because you're not playing in any high profile games. You're not really traveling In a difficult way um travel advantages throughout the first half no restless advantages at all On your entire schedule. That's kind of funny Um It also is funny that this team reminds me so much of the Jets and the Jans and they play the Jets and the Jans in the first three weeks Yeah All right, and any uh closing thoughts on these Tennessee Titans true I mean you can't make that Philadelphia number big enough. You can't make that Baltimore number big enough um Kind of intrigued at what happens when you go up against Houston with the past rush they bring to the table Yeah, if uh Schlotman is At that point sucks and they're trying the brookie out and you're right garrison working out There's a couple of these past rushes that are just gonna just gonna eat your young guy alive and ruin things Yeah, so Hmm. Yeah, I don't know that I have much else I'm kind of I guess I'm kind of happy that they put the Titans in the 4 p.m. And the 1 p.m. Window every day Yeah Don't worry about those games. We'll catch. I'm gonna watch all the Titans games and a.m. Window for me You know what you know what they might be noon At on Sunday, but I'll be watching them at 2 p.m. On monday In the the 30 minute replay style if you're if you love the Titans better learn red zone buddy Um, that's on the place you're gonna see him Um, all right. Let's call it. Yeah Uh Exact finish 4th is probably worth the sniff around on price I got a big gap between them in the next best team in the south. Yeah Like anything can happen, but that's how probabilities work They're being seen. All right Well, we are gonna figure out when we're gonna talk Cool. We'll sort it out. We'll get We'll get power issues. We'll get them working. All right later, man. That's the luck See you guys
