2026 PGA Championship DFS First Take Show

The transcription is a DFS-focused podcast previewing the PGA Championship, hosted by the main speaker alongside Brian and guest Jack. They begin by promoting the 6of6 app, which tracks DFS performance and offers live lineup sweating, emphasizing its value for improving player strategy and data analysis. The discussion shifts to the PGA Championship at Aronimink, noting the lack of consensus on the course due to limited historical data. Key insights highlight that approach shots, especially from 150-200 yards and long irons, will be critical, while driving distance may be less decisive. The hosts debate whether the course favors second-shot accuracy over off-the-tee performance, with Jack suggesting that players like Cameron Young and Rory McIlroy are top picks. The $5,000 salary range is seen as enabling flexible lineup construction, allowing combinations of high-priced players like Scottie Scheffler with cheaper options. They also recap a recent lineup win and invite audience members to challenge them for a prize. Overall, the episode focuses on strategic analysis for DFS lineups, leveraging course breakdowns and player models to identify value and differentiation.

[Music] All right, welcome in. We are live for the PGA Championship. First look of the DFS like I am joined as always by Brian on my right. How are we doing my friend? Doing great, how are you sir? I'm excellent. I'm actually had a great week last night feeling for the graduate of the LLONIMEC. And then on my far right we are joined by Jack. Jack, correct pronunciation of your last name? Client Richard. Client Richard. I'm going to ask you to do that. Exactly how you speak. Pretty much exactly how you spell it. And Jack, he joined us for our premium show on Wednesday night and was awesome. He's got a really interesting way of modeling, really interesting way of looking at DFS. And he is a former milling maker winner as well. So he's got the results to back it up as well. He's going to be doing a lot more stuff with us in the future. So wanted to break him in with one of our public shows as well. But before we get started, Brian, we are sponsored, as you know, by the 6 of 6 app, Code ISN. I talked about it a little bit on my Sunday podcast, but hopefully this is like perhaps maybe a different audience that's more DFS focused. And we have a week of data now to look at. I was had a very good time sweating on the 6 of 6. My contest last night, but what's been your experience with the 6 of 6 app? So I'm not going to very late. Congrats to the boss on a great finish on what contest was it? That was the $10.18 max. How many now? Making that pot on 18 was a $1,000 link for me. I wasn't going to come in first. I can't be alone that first guy just had a better lineup than me. But I was, I just needed Tommy to make that 12th or on 18 or any of the other fucking pots that he messed up throughout the tour to finish in second. But I'll take it. I was happy with the result. So congrats to him. We'll get to him in a minute. But I hear this question a lot in my day to day job or my day job, as I should say, do I need this? And I happen to think I'm in the business of telling people, no, you don't need this. I'll tell you when you need something and I'll be the one to tell you, hey, if the technology comes out or there's a new product on the market that helps with this. I've seen it over the years. Let's do it. So when I come here and I'm going to tell you that this is something that you need is a PG ADFS player. I'm not joking around. Have you ever thought about trying showdown? Have you ever thought about changing the type of context you want to play in? Have you ever thought about am I good in single entry? Am I good in 20 max lineups? What about trying in a me? There's all sorts of different ways to play at all different levels and all different fee structures. And I think what's so great about this here is not only do you get to sweat during the tournament, but once you'll have the data a year, two years, three years down the line, you will know both one what tournaments you play well as a DFS player and two, you will also know. What are the areas of the board where I'm going to find the most value or leverage? Am I good at picking 6K plays out? Am I good at nailing the top? There's all sorts of ways to break down PG ADFS and all sorts of different levels. And I'm just here to tell you, you need this. I couldn't agree more. I think that it will be the type of thing where like it becomes a household name and like if you just write PG ADFS, if you're, if you're not looking at this data, you're just like limiting your experience, you're limiting your sweat, you're limiting figuring out how good of a DFS player you are. I know it's like nobody knows about it now, but I promise you like this is I think totally going to revolutionize the game. That's why we partner with them. The founder Leo is a great guy. He's been an ISN member from day one and try it out for a month. The ISN discount gives you 33% off the first month. So it's 20 bucks for the first month if you don't like it. If you don't use it, you're welcome to cancel, but I as somebody that was sweating a lineup last week, it completely allowed me to figure out throughout the day who I needed to play poorly and who I needed to play well. It completely enhanced my sweat. So for example, like I realized early in the day that the contest that I was battle in the in the lineups that I was battling against a lot of those high end lineups had right hand. So it was like, all right, whether right hand plays good or poorly down the stretch, like all of these lineups are getting the same docking or the same benefit who I really needed to get fucked, I realized was sung Jay or JJ spawn, right? Where I really had leverage of who I needed to play well was Tommy and Nikolai and like, yes, you can manually go through all of those lineups, but in a tournament, DFS is changing every second based on every hole, like that just takes way too much time. Yeah, we'll get into the PGA right now, but I can't say enough good things about it. The live component is this is like the first part, but like once you get the data of cut events, weak events strong, you're going to see so much about because you put your handle in there. The first thing you do is you put your tracking handle in there and then it just like there's data for me for the masters, I'll show you guys that there's data from the week that I did well. And you just go back and you can see what your week was like this week. This is everybody, but like if you're going to me, my results, so like you click my results, this is exactly how I did it the masters, right? Here's how much I entered here's how much I won. Thank you very much, Harry Hall, you know, but like that kind of stuff is what you can see. So it's not only the live component of sweating. It's all all the review after it's only going to get better. The more time the thing is live and the more users that it has on it, I just can't say enough good things about it. I am so excited about our partner. Yeah, and in the interest of time, we are going to do more of a look ahead to the PGA championship instead of a review this week as much as I would love to talk about some success last week. I think it's more pertinent to go right ahead to the PGA because we've got a lot to talk about with this light. And that's one of the reasons I wanted to have Jack on as well, because I, you know, I'm very interested Jack. We can start here. I just, I just did a podcast with one of the data golf guys. It's live on our website right now to premium show for our members. He was a really interesting guy to talk to one of one of the favorite interviews I've done of the year. And there's not a huge consensus on this golf course. Like I have my opinions. I've heard some other opinions. Some I agree with some I disagree with. But, but, but I love that. Like this to me is like more exciting than talking about the masters, even if I like a gust of national more than a ornament. I just love the fact that there is not a consensus on this golf course. And hopefully that can be the weeks where we provide the most data. So what are your impressions on a ornament, Jack? You're a really smart guy. I have a lot of respect for your process. And what are some of like the early findings that you've had on this golf course. I mean, yeah, looking to look in a model, you know, this course that has very little history is always tough. The data golf guys going back to 2018, 2010, 2011, you know, those those prior events. They're they even seem split on how how's your 2018 matter. You know, very wet golf course definitely didn't lend itself to kind of the driver kind of the bomber putter, you know, aspect that that is probably the consensus in the market currently. But, you know, this PGA tournament is, you know, I do love doing this wave out of the masters masters always a hard always a hard comp because it doesn't seem like the lead informed seems to play the same factor as the actual success during the event. The PGA is a spot where you can get massive field a lot of a lot of data to to play with. And they really turn to sifter and find those value plays, you know, across, you know, live deep in the world tour and PGA tour players. And then, you know, versus lineups that they be mixing and matching different styles just because there's no consensus within the market. that you do really well is like identify because a golfer has played well on this golf course, then that means that other players are going to play well on this golf course as well because they play well on that golf course, right? So like when it comes to a run-a-man, what are some of the other spots that like if you drove the ball well here, that could potentially translate to success? And I know it's not going to be perfect this week because I'm sure that you can't look at 2018 as exactly like how it's going to play this week. You just can't. There's been too many changes, too much weather like we all understand that. I think it's a mistake to look at 2018 and expect the golf course to play exactly like it did for this week at the PGA. There are a number of differences that I talked about on my Sunday show of like what has changed, and I dove into that more with the data golf guys as well. But I still think you could probably gleam like enough about the golf course to perhaps figure out like where some of the similarities might lie. Yeah, looking at, I mean looking back at 2010-2011, even those, the game, the game is at all a point where I don't have anything looking back at those events gives you the same signal as you may think. I mean focusing on approach this week because I do think the differentiator will be, you know, as it usually is, is on the approach. The courses that have come out through my process, Riviera, TPC Scottsdale and Albany, which you would think would be honestly longer approach buckets. But those courses that you can find yourself in a lot of, I feel like tweeter spots, other tweeter spots, or you're in that like 200 yard approach bucket to really have those long irons, you know, probably make the difference. Definitely, I mean looking at even even data golf buckets, I mean they're going to 125 in and then over 200. I think that really deflates the common great approach players. You know, if you're a great approach player, someone that kind of leans on their irons, you lean, use it lean on it in the middle of the bag from 150 to 200. I think this week is a week, I always go back to like LACC, which is a course that kind of puts you in those spots where it seemed like it was long irons, or you find yourself in kind of more of a flip wedge spot. Of course, like that, that doesn't really traditionally fit itself to the better, to like the great approach players by the stats. You can kind of find some signal even more from around the green play and then distance kind of carrying itself to those long irons where the distance makes it easier for you to be hitting a seven iron versus a five iron and that may be the difference in being a whole degree versus missing it, missing it, long missing a left. So yeah, it's really the thing that's very interesting about this golf course is you like outside of the eighth, which is a long par three that plays over 200 yards, there's not a par four over 465-ish yards, I believe, until the 15th hole. So like a longer player like Roy McElroy, he may not have more than a 990, iron. If he's like if his average driving distance on the golf course is like even on some of the club downholes, probably like he's still averaging 315, 320 off the tee, he may not have like a long iron coming or even a middle iron coming into a par four until the end stretch and then the end stretch is just four long irons in a row because it's a really long par four, a reachable par five, a very long par three and then a long a very long uphill par four coming in. So it's kind of like you need to be really good with your middle or to short iron so that the round and that's going to give you a lot of scoring opportunities and then it's kind of hang on for dear life with these really high leverage along there and approach outs coming in. I do agree and I was talking about this with Matt from Data Golf about like a lot of their adjustment adjustment comes in the form of off the tee, right? Because that's the stickiest stat right from a week to week basis like there's there's there's a stronger regression coefficient with off the tee on a week to week basis then with approach. But to me anecdotally this golf course is more of a second shot golf course because I just whether you're hitting wedges out of the rough or middle to long irons out of the fairways, the way that these greens are shaped and the way that these greens are sloped like to get the ball close and score what you're going to need to do to differentiate yourself. This is not a Oak Hill Brooks Capca where you can just hit the ball to the middle of the green every time make your three birdies around and win the golf tournament at nine under. I don't think that's going to be the case. I think you're going to need to be a little bit more aggressive this week and it just seems to me where like whether you're hitting your wedges from 85 yards on a lot of those front nine par threes out of the rough or whether you're hitting shots from the fairway from 140, you really really have to be able to be a great iron player and access the right side of these greens because if the course is going to have any defense they're going to need to make the pin positions a lot more challenging and that's why I mean we can talk about the school a little bit later but I'm with you. I mean I really think that aeronomic is a golf course where the second shot is going to be highly highly important. I don't know if you have anything more to add their briner jack before we dive into the players but but I think I'm with you for the most part. Not much. I will say that like this morning a couple of things I kind of had some some trepidation with some of the things that you said and some of the things that Steve said about you know this place could be kind of scoreable and it actually caused me to look at deer run and rock it more against a little bit. Deer run is a very high misfer. I was just talking about that with him on with Matt about deer run about how it's like a really sneaky weird high misfer away penalty because it's really just that like the golf course is so easy that like if you're not like generating spin from the fairways you're actually losing a lot. I don't think aeronomic is going to play like that per se but from an agronomical standpoint I could totally see it for sure. I mean let's talk about the let's talk about the slate like let's get into the players there's a lot more on the golf if you want a very deep dive on aeronomic join inside sports network this week we've got more than more than you're all refining it great interview with the data golf guys I've got like a 3,000 word golf course breakdown and then the information that's in our discord this week is second to none with Steve's weather info and and Josh is going to be on site this week but I'll kick it to you first Jack like we have a $5,000 range and I'm curious if that changes the way that you're looking at Scotty Sheffler we've got 17 players this week priced above 9k there's a lot of there's a lot of building options you're in positions where you can play Scotty and Bryson together if that's what you want to do and still build feasible lineups and I'm curious what you're thinking about from a building strategy standpoint this week now that we have a 5k range and maybe what would be your early lean in terms of like favorite players at the top I mean having the 5k range 5k range is honestly just more always more fun to be able to build those very top of your run ups it just I think it introduces variance that can really work in your favor I think once you go below $10,000 I think there's the value the value I mean the players really between you know 99 being Colin and even down to let's even just say Minguli as the as the cutoff at 75 there's not a lot that's actually going to separate these players especially in the optimizers so usually as it goes the 9k range will probably be you know flatter like flatter ownership and then you know probably you know many of the honestly those plays that you have to have kind of just you have to pick a lean you have to be lean with in the 8 or 9s of a guy that you feel like is going to outperform what the models are telling you over I mean over 10,000 I think it's I think it starts with Cam Young for me Cam Young tend to still wait to I mean you talk to this last week to cheap way to cheap I'm not sure what he has to do to actually get to get a price tag above 11,000 but I mean he he ranks second in in my model he's the top horse fit player I think it starts with Cam Young just coming off the form hopefully he hasn't you know burned himself out I showed showed by that that last round yesterday but you know I think it starts with starts with Cam and then from Cam you can go up to Rory and you could you know play more of that 6k range that has a lot a lot of fun plays or you know start with Scotty and dip into the 7s and kind of build from there I think those would probably be the two the two main ways to play play this week so Cameron Young kind of are Jack as you know we build a lineup together for the show and our lineup actually did quite did we officially beat Dave last week I'm assuming we can let me find Dave's Dave Dave Cash yeah we cashed for sure we'd be Dave well I mean that's not much to think lab but we'll still take it we'll take it don't get me wrong Dave's Dave's lineup I don't know what Dave's lineup is but I can tell you you I can tell you what our lineup was it finished with 460.50 points and Sam Stevens absolutely fucked the shit out of us. Same with Sepstroca. I'm Cameron. Patricant like T10, Nikolai Huygar T2, Gary Woodland T17. I think Dave I think Dave scumbags for 440 points. We beat us. That lineup. Wow. No. So the lineup that Dave had was it's 464.50. Cam Ludwig Scott, Minwoo. Oh he got the Minwoo bump. Yeah. And then we had my lineup do well. That's what put my lineup into the max. So I can't been all right. Has he vec clapped? We got to get he's been asleep. You know we got to give Dave. You know me I tell them all about that seven. I'm like I'll write you a letter of rec man whenever you. Yeah. Yeah. We got Dave that once the PGA settled down. I'd get back to helping him find a job. He knows where to find me. This is Dave's like highest moment in I said I don't know why he's not here in the live chat. We can also do I don't know if somebody in the chat this week wants to talk to you. Line up or try and take us on. We're happy to do that again. So once we've built the lineup if there's anybody in the chat that wants to take us on. Well, absolutely do that and winner will get a free mark. You can you can DM me. Yeah, it can be a bit for us in the discord. Yeah. So anyway Brian, it seems like you know Jack brought up like the underpriced nature of Cameron Young. We'll get back to him but I'm curious about what you think about the top. Yeah, I see it the same as him. I do think that with the five's yeah, five's they're kind of giving you permit. You know at that point I always used to think about this whatever we would come on shows in years past where it's like you're just adding extra so then his salary increase or whatever the comparison relative to other people makes less of a difference right. So you're not actually having to quote unquote sacrifice as much to play Scotty Shetler. Now plays in the fives are dangerous and some of them may be bad but I think that if most people are going to want to play Scotty plus another five-k guy you can do that and so later in the week it'll be fun to see where Congress ownership congregates. I do think probably Cam Young comes in the highest just because I don't yeah like Jack said what are we doing like what does this guy have to do to the higher brace than Bryson who says he doesn't want to play golf on PGA tour anymore. Yeah my biggest argument against Matt Young is ownership so it's like yeah is is our goal like is our goal building the best lineup and not worrying as much about ownership not that I don't think that we can play Cam and find you know some pretty good plays that no one else is going to be on but based on price my biggest argument against Cam Young would be that I think that he's going to be the second highest home player on the slate. I would still it's early I'll have my ownership projections tomorrow. I would say that Scotty's going to be perhaps as high a stone as he's been in quite some time because of that five-k range. If I if you made me I don't know I'll ask I'll kick it to you Jack if I gave you and I'm we're talking about let's say the 25 the the milling maker right like the you know the a large scale lotto contest that everybody is thinking about for to kind of normalize ownership here. If I put Scotty it like the over under at 35.5% are you taking your guesses over or under? I would go under I think I think with Rory being there is a $1,500 savings and then Cam Young is going to have let's say at least you can just say Cam Young has 30% I think people will move off Scotty to a degree I think probably still above 30% but once you go over 35 that feels like a little too much I think people will want to play fits Bryson Bryson in the majors gets ownership I mean even even if he said people love to play him and then you know even at the Masters I didn't like you know I was not on Ram at the Masters the Ram ownership came flying up flying up the back I think is the week where you're going to get outside. Did people play Zander in the majors? Oh you know I play Zander too often that's that's that's kind of a detriment of mine so yeah I think that's fair I would maybe lean like a touch higher than you where I think it's possible that he gets to 35 but that's kind of an interesting question Bryson I mean who do you think's higher own Rory at 12-4 or Cam Young because like what is so I agree but like I agree but like I think there's a narrative now with Rory that I agree with and I have been kind of pumping this a little bit where it's like Rory spent Dorao week at a run of mink like he had a seat he it almost seemed like a switch flipped for him after he won the second Masters where it was like why am I going to stop like this is what my legacy is going to be defined as it does not matter if I win Quail Hollow eight more times on the PGA tour how I'm going to be defined in 50 years is by getting to 13 or 14 majors and why wouldn't I don't think he's going to get to that number but why wouldn't he think that he's going to get to that number after just winning back-to-back Masters when he wasn't even in like crazy form this year I think he has realized that he is at a stage of his career where he is playing to peak four weeks out of the year and there was nothing that I saw I know he played poorly on Saturday but there was nothing that I saw at Quail Hollow that leads me to believe that he is not playing like as good as he was heading into the Masters and I am not even as high on the bombing gouge narrative as some are this week it's a tremendous golf course fit for Roy. With him he's rolled out the what if he's John Will like you're saying what if what if they just what if he's back sorry go ahead Jack. No I mean I think Roy is I think Roy learned a lot from Justin Rose I think he's talked about Justin Rose and you know Justin Rose of any player is hard to kind of understand when he's going to play well because he just builds and saves it for the right moment I think he's learned a lot from Justin Rose and he's kind of teaming himself up for a good match for a good you know major stretch this is I mean you can throw throw the narratives and kind of the fit out the window with Roy most often I think it's the course that will fit him be able to kind of put it in the right spot you know throw 125 yard wedge and I think when Roy's wedges are on they are on and he can go extreme low and a lot to field but you tend to know that on Thursday or Friday you know that Roy either has the wedge game he's he's he's hidden him he's kind of dialed in from that from those you know 75 to 125 distance or he's not and you know that usually means he's either fourth or 45. So what's our consensus where are we playing cam put cam in there to start? I would I don't know this is golf and it's different but this guy's starting to feel like a running back where you just got to play him you know what I asked to put it down like we can go back yeah and like it's different somewhere else yeah we can we can go back and also like I agree with you I like Scott at this week I I I can talk I can talk I'll have more opportunities to talk about Scotty later like I think I think we can go back to him but I think we put cam in the lineup as of now I just I just think that until they price him at 11k and this is my argument last week where you know I bet Zander to win I liked Zander heading into the week more than cam I was wrong but when it came to draft kings I looked at the price of cam and the price of Zander and the ownership of cam and the ownership of Zander and I was just like what am I what am I doing like cam should be 11k in this field like even if I feel like Zander's more do and cam's more do for a letdown which I did feel like last week should have kind of been an exhale spot for cam based on how good he's been playing I was like by this price they're forcing my hand to play cam and they ended up getting lucky and that decision that decision for cam over Zander and that lineup you know paid major dividends for me and even that I liked cam at quail hollow more than I like Zander I like Zander more in full disclosure I just thought the pricing was off so I agree until they price cam at 11k like I'm going to play him and go down with the ship moving forward like Jack I think the best way to do it because it's a huge field like ownership is going to fucking take me forever tomorrow there's 148 players in this field I think probably the best way to do this in the interest of time if we're trying to build a lineup is like each of us after we have the Cam young piece, each focus in on like a favorite play of ours or a guy that we really wanna highlight that we wanna put in this lineup and then come back to the final two slots and see which money we have remaining. So instead of talking about like a range, I'm gonna ask you like, if there's a guy that's popped out to you in your numbers or if there's a guy could be 5, could be 5,500, could be Bryson, honestly, like could be anyone, like if I told you that Jack representation of this lineup gets to be any fucking player on the slate, where would you go? - I mean the kind of the guy who's right up there in the top four of my course fits is Thomas Dettry, which is way down the board at 60. - Right, right. - That's a lot of people, all like we're gonna do build this way where they can pick Cam and Fitz or Cam Bryson, Cam Rory, and then they'll just go to the bottom and they'll see Alex Fitzpatrick, they'll see Wright and they'll see players that are on runs, they've seen on their TV and they'll throw them in there and then it'll ask you to really have all the flexibility or the other Hori guard. The other Hori guard is the guy who's actually number one in my course, if it is Rasmus. - Is he number one? - Number one is Rasmus Hori guard. - Oh, and I'm playing that guy. I don't know if we have to do this, I'm playing that guy. - Well, let's put Dettry in. - So Dettry, last four starts on Lev, you can say whatever you want. Nothing's really getting my deck card at Lev unless you're at least finishing.5. Dettry, second in Hong Kong, 15th Singapore, third South Africa, fifth Mexico, sixth Virginia, he is absolutely nuking his irons, nuking them. So I love that as a 6100 play. That kind of like, he was kind of on my radar, I was gonna do a deeper inspection of him tonight, but I just say love that at 61. Let's put him in for now and we could potentially go back to Rasmus later. What do you think Brian, if I give you one? - So if I, I'll throw this one in here, we don't need to put him in this lineup 'cause he's in the same range. I love Thor Bjornson. - I don't know how they can always ask him there. I like that a lot. - If I was gonna go up somewhere near like the sevens or the eights 'cause we kinda have a six and a 10 here. For me, I mean, you know me. - Kentley. Love Kentley this week. - I like Kentley too. I mean, what are your thoughts, Jackie? You think we're crazy? - I, you know, he's been playing pretty well. I guess he's kind of turning back into form. It had been down a few months. I think it fits him, I think it does fit him very well. I mean, Kentley kind of fits every course. He fits the Northeast course is pretty well. He has great experience kind of in that quarter. And I think he's legacy golf courses. He does play his best game at. I, you know, his numbers aren't popping off the screen for me, but it's definitely a play where you look at the others around him that's your way more comfortable playing him from anyone, you know, Lowry, Spieth, Henley, Reed, Hatten, you don't really get comfortable playing any of those guys. So if we're gonna play someone around 9,000, cannellais is probably the right one. - Yeah, I do like some of the other names. He won at Wilmington, CC, which a data golf just changed to their number one comp. Yeah, I mean, I bet Kentley at 66 to won this week. I think that number's gone down a little bit since he played well at Quail Hollow. You know, Kentley was a big, a big dub for me at The Masters. He was really disrespected heading into that Masters and him finishing, I think, I don't know, he finished like T12. It wasn't like he contended to win the golf tournament, but he was very helpful for me in my, he was in my core at The Masters with, with Spieth. So, you know, I like Kentley quite a bit this week. I think if we put him in here at, what is he, 8,900? - Yeah, my other choice. - We have lots of money to play with. - We have a lot of money to play with. Yeah. So let's put Kentley in there for now. There's a couple of different directions that I could go here. You know, we talked about Kidiama earlier today who I recently added to my betting card at 91. Just because, you know, Matt from Gated Golf talked about how much he liked him. You know, he got double-moved on bookmaker. So I'll have to follow up with Rufus on Wednesday if he's responsible for that as well. And I've just, Piyama's been an ISN guy for quite some time. You know, I really like his experience on thick rough golf courses, right? Like I think that there are a lot of differences in Aeronomank versus O'Kill and Aeronomank versus Bay Hill. But those are both two golf courses where there's thick rough around the greens, right? And Kidiama has been showing up to these signature events all year and like not just playing well, but he had a chance to win Riviera. A golf course, Jack, that you mentioned earlier in the podcast, like if we talk about a guy that could black out with his irons and gain a significant advantage off the tee. And I am actually of the camp that I think short game gets a bit neutralized and starts to clump together once you get a lot of thick rough around the greens where it doesn't become like as predictive of a metric as you would see on a golf course with short cross. Kidiama Rager, let's throw them in. 7,400 I believe. - You are not in the-- - Yeah, I'm not talking to you. - 7,400 he's priced. I mean, they have finally priced him kind of in a spot where you would say he's around peers. Not peers by the resume, but definitely peers by the skill where I mean people may scan past him 'cause they're looking for a better name like Adam Scott, like Ricky. More fun. - You're looking at it, brother. - Yeah. So top five, John Deere also. - The JDC comp, there we go. Moline. - We love it. - We're gonna be the only ones not here puffing a JDC. - Honestly, if the course plays a little bit easier than some others are expecting, I don't dislike that or the short doll equivalent all. - Especially on a Asian adjonition. - Onulation in the greens, Donald Ross greens, short irons, - Yeah, there's a girl in the middle of the-- - Yeah, there's also like the possibility that, I mean, I'm very interested in the winning score because I think like, I think there's an opportunity that controlling me is believing that I think there's an opportunity always to come back on the other side when the narrative starts to get too out of control. And like the secrets out on this being an easier PGA, like nobody is looking at this golf course and saying that it's harder than O'Kill. And I mean, I think maybe if the few people that are saying it's okay, like they're making a mistake, it's, I talked about this extensively on the podcast. Like there were different types of renovations that happened at those two golf courses. And the type of renovation that happened at O'Kill was very different than the type of renovation that happened at Aronement in terms of each club's championship aspirations. What I will say is that like a lot of this is going to depend on the PGA of America and what the weather and the course gives them. And what I mean by that is like when the PGA, they don't really care about the winning score, they care about making an exciting tournament. And when they realized the cars that they were dealt at Valhalla, like the softness of that golf course, there was no way to make that golf course try and play hard. Like they would have to trick it up and it would just be stupid. So they kind of just gave up and they were just like, well, it works. Yeah, like let's just make a lot of birdies and it's gonna be really exciting. And there's been other times in the past where the golf course gave them a lot more to work with, you know, Keele Island was like a great setup where the winnings, even Southern Hells where the winning score was minus five. Winning score was minus six. And they were able to get a really great finish while still kind of like keeping the integrity of the tournament alive and having the golf course play the best that it could. It seems like like the 13th hole instead of making that a drivable par four for one of the four days. It seems like they're gonna maybe make that a drivable par four for four of the four days. So I do think it's in play that like, they just look at the canvas that they have. They see the golf course get srain. And they just say like this tournament is probably gonna be worse or less exciting if we try and trick it up. Let's just have them go out there and go get it. I don't know. That's why we have Twitter or Steve to be honest with you. I don't know right now, but we will know in the discord. But I guess-- - I guess it's a lunch on this stuff, but if it's easy, like I would say, I will find some names in the five st. Yeah, yeah, yeah, pretty good. The big west. I'm. I'm. I don't know about that. Yeah, I. What do you think Jack, do you like that? I have a big fear that we're going to get the the LACC Thursday, where it's just super low scores. And then the PJ cannot. There's the only defense they have is going to be either the wind, the rough or the pins. And I don't think they can put the pins in the spots on Thursday and Friday to make it make it difficult. I have a fear that we're going to get a golf course for Thursday and Friday that doesn't play like it does on Saturday and Sunday. I asked I got my PTA. Yeah, I agree with that also because it's like when you have 25 club pros, like there's pace and play concerns. Yeah. So how are you like you're not going to put a pen like on a crazy spine that only like the 98% out of wedge player can access when like, you know, you have Michael block potentially making nine on the whole. So blockies never seen, never seen a liar on the grunge that he can handle. So I guess, I guess Jack, when you look at this lineup, like, does this make you want to go high low or in the middle? Does this make you want to say like, damn, we could put John Rom in this lineup or we could put love big in this lineup or map its Patrick in this lineup. And then add another low guy or, or does it say, wow, we have like a lot of opportunity to balance this out really nicely with like a guy in the mid-AIDS and a guy in the mid-AIDS. I mean, for me, I think it's either Justin Thomas at 94, 90, 400 or, you know, just getting up to Rom or Bryson. You know, Bryson doesn't seem to ever fit any of the lineups, you know, any line he put together, but he, you know, these are longer players here. You could kind of throw in any of those guys above 10,000, I think, you know, still have enough money to put in someone who were very comfortable playing. So Brian, I would leave that to you. Who over who over 10? Over 10 for me. So go ahead, go ahead, Andy. I was just going to ask you two names that we haven't mentioned that I like this week. Actually three because I'll add Rom in there. Like, Rom, Fleetwood and Ludwig. Do any of those guys do a free brine? I probably would go to Ludwig if any at this point. I agree with Jack though. I like Justin Thomas on the score. So more than he says it, like if you're talking easy wedges off the T's kind of devalued, like that's, yeah, the more I think about it, actually much like Southern Hills, where it's Southern Hills was was a course that was really a lot of 125 and in. Yeah. Not guys, Brazil, Taurus, JT, Kim Young, those are, those are like high spin wedge players that they can get to any pin. They can kind of, okay. You know, okay, let's do this. I think I've been talking to me. It leaves us. I was going to say I think I've been talking to can take and can't we and doing both of those. And then whatever that leaves us is what we leave us. Taking can't lay out. Yeah. And doing like Ludwig and JT. Let's just see what JT leaves us first. Let's see JT first. Yeah. JT leaves us with because if there's nobody that we like at 8100, then I agree I'm down to take can't lay out. Now this leaves us in a range of burn, struck a pen, Sioux Kim, Conor's, Napa with Drew, by the way. He's not playing. Yeah, Napa with Drew. I suppose you can go down to like a Jason Day, a JJ Spawn. I mean, Jack, is there anyone in this range that's doing it for you? Because if not, I would agree to take out can't lay, go up and then just go lower on price. I would rather spread out the pricing and get out of this, get out of the range and be able to go debt. Because I think Sioux will get a lot of ownership. I don't like Sioux this week. I agree. Not a cast out. It's not a Pete die minus 25. Yeah. Event. So I will, you know, I'm not a Sioux guy and I think that's where most people will fall in that range. Pinge. Pinge might be 1% owned. Yeah. Give it his price. He's not going to do. What? Yeah. So we take out can't lay Josh put in JT and then probably go up and yeah, throw in JT Josh and then he's higher. He's 9K. Thomas is. Yeah. And then. So 8500. Okay. So we have a decision to make now of like, let's focus in on this range of between Fleetwood, Ludwig, Moorakawa, I think starting to like, Moorakawa is like 50 to 1 on Calshay. Mapfitch Patrick coming off a disappointing finish at Quail Hollow and then going up a little bit higher Josh, if you scroll up, you get Zander and ROM, right? Yeah. And then there's a bit of a $500 price gap between ROM and Bryson. I think the range between ROM and Fleetwood could very well produce the letter. Like I think that getting this, getting this play right could be everything. And I'm open to suggestions like we can rank them. Like I think one of these guys between ROM and Fleetwood should be in this lineup. I think we have the money for it. And unless you guys want to make a super compelling case for Bryson, I think this is the range to find our guide because we're kind of then double barreling with Cam. Like a guy that's going to be, you know, sub 20 to 1 at a good price. I mean, ROM is 10 for 14 to 1. You know, Zander's going to hang out at 16 to 18 to 1. Like, I think you're getting a really, really high win equity lineup. And this, you know, if you built this, I just, I don't know who our guy is. I don't know, I don't know where, who you guys want to go. I know, I know why I'm in therapy and the reason it's mine's probably calling for a power. But like, to be honest, I think Fitz is amazing as a second man in and Averton. Those would be the two. What do you think, Jack? Do you have a favorite in that range? I'd say Fitz or ROM, if we can start to see ownership around ROM, go low. You know, I think people are going to be choosing between ROM and Cam Young. You just, you play them. So I last week I played Zander, Zander and Cam Young together in most of my builds. That felt a little different. Turns out it didn't, didn't work anyway. If you just, I think if we are the ROM young build, and then skipping the entire eights all the way down to Kadeyama, will probably be pretty, pretty different. Yeah. I mean, you guys are just with the ROM thing. Like, I love the guy. I mean, I, oh, but it's, you know, I, I know. I know exactly what Jack would have because he lands on the number one. I have overvalued him at majors recently. I think the narrative around live right now is going to keep the ownership in check. You know, I, I don't think there's like a lot of narratively good vibes around ROM right now. 10 for weaving us 6,600. Like, I think you're getting the fourth or fifth best player in the world in that lineup. And like, you know, for, for all the shit that ROM's gotten, he allowed me to finish second in the $200 single entry last year at the PGA without the winner by five. You know, ROM wasn't the only reason that that was a good lineup. But, you know, like, ROM had a chance to win on the back nine of the PGA. Or he was at least hard mix. And so I do think that the narrative of like, you know, ROM, like significantly underwhelming in majors is perhaps a bit overplown. And this could be an intriguing by spot at him at 10 for you. You guys remember how expensive he was at the Masters? I do think he's around 10 for it. I remember it felt like it was right around this number. But, but very popular. Like, yeah, yeah. Had popularity that I don't think he's going to get this week. Let's stick with ROM for now. I also really like fleet with this week in DFS, but we can do that for future pods. What's, what's, what are we looking at at 6600? Oh, fuck, Rasmus. This is a sharp lineup. I'm just scared of that. Wow, that feels, this line of does feel does feel like it would play well together. If the course is leading to actually being that bomber friendly, bomber friendly course, and the kind of also demanding some sort of around the green, you know, they build it at least have some way around the green play. Bomber friendly, but also like, it's not like ROM came young and JT are no lead iron players. Like, you know, like we're getting and kitty on. Or kitty on. Yeah, like, kitty on, like has like spikes spike approach upside. Yeah. And I agree with you, Jack. Yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's the lineup sec. All right. Any body in the chat, you can leave in the comments. Yeah, do you want to challenge us in like the $33 single entry. Brian, turn, Brian's turn to enter this. I got ours. I'll put this one in. Brian, you enter ours in the 33. $3 single entry, I will for free enter somebody's lineup that wants to challenge us in this. I will look out for a Twitter. I will tweet some sort of way to win out on Twitter that I'm giving away a free single entry. And if you're a lineup wins, you'll keep all the money from it. But I don't know. Yeah, Josh, how do you want to do it? The best way to do it. To figure out who wants to do it. I think it should be a listener from the show. I think it should be somebody in the comment section that gets to do the lineup. So I don't know. Josh will think Josh will figure it out with me after. But any, any closing thoughts before we, before we get out of here. Is there any, is there any stone that we haven't left unturned? Who, Jack, who do you think are some of like the guys that are going to be the chief guys? There's always a couple of over on chief guys. Is it Ricky? Yeah, I mean, yeah, Ricky, Ricky, Ricky, right in that range. I mean, Nick Lai is going to write out as like a top 15 to 20 player in everyone's model. Who's the number one plan, did he go? He will, he will easily be easily be the top. I love Pooge down there. I was really hoping that I got wouldn't like Pooge. They spoiled that one first, too. There's, there's always a good benefit to being on the right side. You know, it feels good to be on the right side of that golf. Yeah, when they're still a good place. Always from, you know, I think, yeah. I'm going to, yeah, we'll talk more of these and these are more for the discord. I'm not going to say all the names. So, if you're listening to this show and you haven't joined ISN for the week, I highly recommend that you do so. This is really just the first look what you are getting at ISN this week is you are getting jacks insights in the discord. You're getting Brian's insights in the discord. You're also getting a premium show that's live right now with Matt from data golf. That's really getting into the weeds of how we think. And then the gold of golf betting. Rufus is joining us once again on Wednesday night for another premium show. So we really try and blow it out these weeks for the majors. For our members, I promise that you will not be disappointed in the hands of ISN this week. You will be as prepared as you could be on the right side of the day. And you will also have a really fun community to bounce questions off of and sweat in the discord as well once the tournament starts. So we'd love to have you and if you don't want to be a part of the discord, you can go to the top of the list. And then we'll be going to the top of the list. So I would give my pick to win is the first guy that I bet and I bet a month ago, I think I have like a 70 on the one on him or something. Shraca, I actually really do like straca. I know we didn't talk about him much. I like that. I've liked him back since January. I've always thought this was kind of a course of that kind of thing. When are I feel like cricket? Yeah, I think I think it can be on continues the stretch gets the PGA. He does feel like the type of player who gets their first. He gets the first major of the PGA and you know, and we're going in the next year with a bunch of guys with high pedigree. Looking to knock off more majors. So I would say Cameron Young. And then it'll be fun to have all the. I'm going to have more way more top 10 exposure to guys currently priced between 5,500 and 6 grand. So the discussion plays will be in the discord. You know, I. Cameron Young is probably my happiest outcome this week because I love the guy. I love that he's a northeast guy. Big fan of sleepy hall. That's one of my favorite golf courses I've ever played. I was not actually like one of those sharp guys that seems to be everybody in our discord that bet these massive Cameron Young. Matt Fitzpatrick futures months ago. Basically how I have Cameron Young at 80 to one is I begged Kyle to give me part of his bet. I'm not a big futures better for the majors like I like to wait till we get to the week and then digest all the information. Possible and you know, I know it's boring because Jack picked them to but like. If you just. Set go into this week you have no futures on came young. Would he be my pecked to when at his current number which is 14 to 20 probably would be. Yeah, probably would be I don't you know what I bet him at 14 to one today if I didn't have the seven day. I have to think about that. But if you're just asking me for like a number agnostic. Who do I think is the player that's going to win this tournament. I think it's cam young, you know. He didn't have a great Sunday at at quail and I was tracking him closely because he was in that lineup and. I mean, nobody else had him up top against the line says battling around so like. You know if he shot two or three under that day. I would have taken first place in that contest and. He made nothing and I know that's lame. I know like will manya will push back like you can't just say he made nothing that's still choking but. The ball striking was there and I don't have any concerns about came. At this point. In fact, if we want to get really like silly with a narrative comp. The grains at sleepy hollow are the same agronomy and they're fucking crazy like these. There's tons of sway and there's tons of like I think he's going to be super comfortable in this golf course. And he's going to be super comfortable with the weather. I think if it plays easier that's fine for him. I think if it plays harder that's fine for him. I think if the winning score is 17 under he can win. Think of the winning scores 11 under he can win. So I'm to cam this week. Yeah, and we didn't get to we didn't get to talk about this other week. Same thing happened to me of Valera where I was in first until like a certain point on Sunday and you get like somebody just grabs you and you go down that spot and you're just. My wife's like sitting there and she's like I thought you were waiting money. Yeah. I believe me man. I've been there in the last couple months and it's just like okay, we're going next week. So inside sports network dot com. Yes, it's good call Austin his caddies like an amazing green shooter to from what I've heard we actually have a sub who was roommates with who is roommates with Cam Young's wake forest. Said he's an awesome awesome guy actually want to try and get him on the pod in the future. Anyway, thanks for listening, throw us a like and subscribe. I guess what we'll do is give a put a lineup in the comments section Josh. Can we really do that? You're not supposed to I think post six of six lineups. We just will tweet what we're supposed to do but you'll compete with our rasmus D tree lineup and good luck. Good luck with with your bets this week follow I'm going on tap and birdie with Brian in in an hour or two if you want some more PGA talk and we'll see you next week. Thanks for joining me guys. Thank you. Thank you. Cool.
