The transcription begins with a promotional offer from DraftKings for new customers, providing bonus funds and picks with a deposit. The main content shifts to an NFL draft discussion featuring analysts Ryan, Connor, and Scott. They explore team needs, recent trades such as DJ Moore moving to the Bills, and the impact on draft strategies. The analysts note the draft's unpredictability, citing a lack of top quarterback prospects and the prominence of non-premium positions like edge rusher and running back. Key prospects include Arbel Reese, favored for the New York Jets at pick 2 due to his versatility and testing metrics, while others like David Bailey and Ruben Bain are also considered. Jeremiah Love is discussed as a potential high pick for teams like the Cardinals or Titans, despite running back's traditionally lower draft value. The conversation touches on mock draft variances and early betting market inefficiencies, suggesting opportunities for strategic wagers. Overall, the analysis emphasizes the fluid nature of draft projections amid evolving team rosters and prospect evaluations.

My friends, Connor Allen and Scott Smith back to take care of us for Draft Season. Connor, what's going on with you, buddy? Yeah, excited to dig in more. This is always one of my favorite running series that we do here. Just talk about the draft, talk about the different players here. And I mean, we can get into it soon. But there's I think top of the board here, really up in the air. A lot of different positions in need, a lot of different players. Another maybe another running back going to the top five. So lots of fun stuff going on. Scott, we love you in season. We just don't get to talk to you in season very much. But off season, this is our time to shine, buddy. What's going on with you? Good man. Happy and healthy, living a good life. Family is happy and helping. Happy to see you guys. I got to see Connor down here in New Orleans a few months ago. We didn't do so hot at the Reluct table, but we had a good time. Love that. Scott out grinding the MMA streets for us on the betting side. Four for four bets. Just making new tools, picking winners, printing them there too. So four for four bets, subs. You're not missing Scott. You're going to him all the time. So fall Scott on Twitter at Scott Smith FF. I just pumped out his first mock draft of the season. Typically goes first out of the trio of us here. This is a very, I think, interesting needle to thread this like free free agency. Look at that. These are the things we're back. This is great. I'm right here. You hear me? No. You're good. You're good now. There's just a small little freeze. This is great. If you're hanging over this draft season, I don't know what my, you know, sometimes internet's in March and April. Don't do as well for me as they do it other times of the season. But you know, here we are. So, but anyway, tough needle to thread I was saying in terms of like post-conbine, uh, free free agency gets a little bit tricky. But Scott took the first swing at the mock draft and we'll go through a little bit of that today. But you know, we'll talk just some news move just before we came on. We had DJ Mortrade. Bears moved DJ Moore to the bills who seemed to have an affinity for six-foot wide receivers. But they needed to make an addition in DJ Moore, I think, was a good one still 29 years old. Contracts not great, but again, like at this point, you kind of need to take some swings with Josh Allen, Connor and he thoughts on DJ Moore, the trade to the bills or maybe even your thoughts on how it impacts what the bills would do here in the first round. Yeah, I think with DJ Moore being traded, it made all the sense in the world. I think it felt like it had an inevitability. They clearly like Luther Burton more. They clearly wanted, uh, you know, have Rome be kind of their ex-sky, introduce loveland even more than he already was. And so you had DJ Moore just like not doing a whole lot, body language still sucked, complaining and then to cap it all off into the season, doesn't round off as route, doesn't go through as route through the entire way, isn't springing the entire time. And this is season ends because him and Caleb were not on the same page and he didn't give full effort on a play that he should have at least bare minimum broken up, like 100%. And so that was tough. And so I think it felt like an inevitability plus the salary cap there. Whereas the bills, I think it's great fit for the bills. He's, I would say, you know, Stefan Digg's light in a sense where Stefan Digg's kind of came in and was able to change, you know, Josh Allen's trajectory there. He can play more on the outside than he got like Cluel Shakir who they, they're, they're like a couple weeks ago. Like, yeah, Cluel can play anywhere. Their actions aren't saying that like they'd never play anywhere else outside of the slot. So I think him Shakir can cade if healthy could be a pretty formidable group. And I think give the bills the best chance offensively that they've had in a while to make a deep run. Scott, we now have two trades since you published your mock draft. We had the Chiefs of Rhymes trade yesterday shortly after you went live. And now we have this, this bills trade here as well. Any thoughts on addition to what Connor had to say? Yeah, I don't know that the trade for DJ Moore makes a huge difference for the bills. You know, I still think they still need wide receiver help before the trade. I had mocked them. Okay, so you can set you on from Texas A&M. I just feel like they keep trying to put a bandaid on it. And the way the defense kind of took a step back last year, I think they still need some defensive help as well. So maybe this just gives them a little bit more versatility as far as which round they're going to look to go ahead and address the water receiver spot. But I think it's a good move for them. And then, you know, the chargers and I mean, excuse me, the Rams and the Chiefs just decided that they they waited specifically like five minutes after I release my mock to go ahead and release their trade. So I give a big screw you to those guys up in the front office. Yeah, this time here's a little bit tricky. I said, we just, you know, some of these team needs shift pretty drastically a week from today. Right? And you start to see, you know, free agency pop in, I believe it's Monday or Tuesday. Can that can change some stuff for sure? And Scott got caught there too. But, yeah, I want to talk just get you guys' thoughts because there are a few things that are pretty interesting to me in terms of laying out this mock draft. And I feel like this happens every year where you get to the spot where it's like, next year's draft class is just so good. It's just like every year, next year's is better. People want to talk about this being a weaker draft class. I think it's actually not, I don't think it's that weak necessarily. I think it's maybe flat where like the teardrop is, you know, is I think a little bit drastic. I think it's, you know, pretty flat early. But then there's also the situation where the, the handful of prospects that play non-premium positions, right? Running back, safe linebacker, off-ball linebacker that are consensus big boards, top 10 picks. We don't see that every year. Maybe you'll get one or two mixed in. Like we know last year we had like a, no, ashton GenT mixed in. We haven't had like a top safety prospect like Caleb Downs in quite a long time. We have multiple hybrid slash off-ball linebackers that have a viable case in the top 10. Without, you know, we're going to really scotch and show it here in a moment. But Scott talked to me about how you kind of navigated that process going through the mock and anything around the premium position piece because I think it's really challenging. Well the clear issue we have from a landscape aspect of this draft is we only have one quarterback and you know where he's going. Tys Simpson seems to be the second quarterback that's going to come off the board but you know that range is anywhere from 16 to 32 to even out of the first round. So normally those free spaces we get when we're can kind of clearly dictate and delineate that quarterbacks are going to go to specific teams. We don't have that aspect this year and so what ends up kind of filling in those positions within the top 10 are these freak athletes that tested well the combine and have good tape to go along with it. Talking about sunny styles, our little Reese, you know those guys and then you've got some other people like you know if we just look at Ruben Bain he's got some issues as far as like his arm length that you're going to go and hit him on but then you look at the tape and you know the guys getting in there and creating a lot of pressure. So you have those issues that are going to dictate where the landscape and where kind of players kind of fall but there's going to be a lot of variance and you have less predictability because you don't have the quarterbacks taken up those spaces that they normally would. Yeah Connor, I think there's a lot of different ways. I mean obviously the teams that are picking in the top 10 are picking there for a reason. They have a multitude of needs specifically at Perumian positions. That's not unique. That's the nature of it but it feels even more so maybe it's Scott's point where we don't have the extra quarterbacks to bully the top 10 but it feels like even more so there's a lot of unknown because you look at you know you start to get to number two with the jets. You know carnels, titans those teams have multiple needs of Perumian positions. What are your thoughts here on the saw? This kind of debate and topic. Yeah I mean I think maybe I'm the best way to get into it is just kind of at this point like if we're going to number two my name is pop scots mock up here I think at this point. Yeah it's kind of helped lead some of the conversation here. So he had windows a one. I don't really think we need to spend much time on it. I was so I was showing Scott before the show that like some prediction markets have like Mendoza 97 cents you know so you can buy there if you want to I don't know if you think that'll outperform whatever stocks you're investing in I think that's pretty safe investment to be honest and then same with the Raiders to make the first or I'll pick is only 93 cents. So I don't know if you're into that kind of stuff like a crazy amount of juice I'm sure that it's not the worst investment in the world that's not something that I don't think any of us typically get involved in. But then number two I think things get really interesting with Arbel Reese and David Bailey from my understanding they're are interested in both them and right now that you know Reese's seems to be the consensus kind of guy at this point and starting to form there. But I guess also too like I think you know they change the fence of coordinators this year and he's like a mutt he's like a really good scheme fit. I think Hayden Winks was talking about that a couple of other people were tweeting about it too. So that makes a lot of sense and so yeah I think right now my lean would be Reese as well. Yeah it's a tricky one we had you know a similar prospect last year with Jaylen Walker out of Georgia who is a hybrid played mostly off-ball linebacker in college and now we want to project him to you know an edge where he's just kind of a bet on talent and Reese has spoken that you know he wants to play edge to where he's focused on but this is a little tricky to me. And number two it's a pretty heavy investment for a guy that doesn't have the tape of a Ruben Bain or the reps and tape of David Bailey at the position. So why did we go with Reese here? Scott and he thought saw on Reese and what you think here with the Jets. I think Reese when you go ahead and compare him to David Bailey and you compare him to a Ruben Bain I just think he has a more versatile skill set to play sideline to sideline to go ahead and make that you know that edge and rush from there. I think the other issue you run into is like if you look at his testing compared to David Bailey and Ruben Bain he tested well you know also and I think people will just look at Arville recent think that he has the highest upside of those three. David Bailey not going on him is kind of that he needs to develop some more path-or-ish moves rather than just his explosiveness and in Bain you have issues with you know the arm length like we discussed but when you when you talk about it as far as like testing and everything I think he just had the best testing metrics you know you can knock him a little bit on some of his tape but not much. I mean he's he's a good player and like you said if quarterbacks or the needs were different at the top here if there was a quarterback where are they going to like the the jets would go ahead and be taken them but the other thing I think you look at with the jets here is they have that other pick there at 16 and I think when you look at the cliff or where the ed rushers start falling off I think that's going to dictate for them to go ahead and take a ed rusher here at two and then address some other things maybe offense while receiver or something like that there with that second pick. So I think when we start talking about positional value and within the draft that I think edge just makes the most sense and I think Reese is a little bit cleaner prospect than the other two and I think he's a better fit for what they're moving to. So Lee Fair I think they without a doubt go edge here. I'm moving from Jermaine Johnson that train they made a couple of weeks ago but definitely spells that there too. I mean it's a bad roster right they need they need help pretty much pretty much everywhere in the 16 pick is going to help that's the cult's pick there too. You have David Bailey three room and made four so just kind of a cluster there of the top ed rushers anything you want to expand on there for you kind of keep it moving. Well I think here at three and four I think the player that's going to get a lot of note and come in is that you know at the combine you started hearing a lot about Jeremiah Love and we talk about positions that are you know aren't really that high of a priority in value within a draft and running back has traditionally been one of them but then you start looking at you know draft a few years ago when you had both Gibbs and Bijan and would you rather you know take a prospect like an ed rusher that maybe has some holes or do you take a clean prospect like a Jeremiah Love that you can build a complete offense around if you're Arizona and Tennessee who are two teams that really just don't have an identity right now as far as what they're doing. You know you try and they go ahead and build around Cam Ward if you Tennessee but I think Jeremiah Love will come into play somewhere with these these number three and number four it's just you know I couldn't put them there yet so I like you know I have the two ed rushers there in David Dale in Rubin Bay. I caught anything to add there the Jeremiah Love stuff for anything with the Cardinals and Titans. Well so really interesting divergence here from odds right now compared to consensus mocks and scots mocks so right now at number three franzis is a Mao-Gau is that how we pronounce his name? Okay close enough. Well okay so franzis currently the odds on favor at number three I mean plus 350 so it's not like you know far from a lock but if you look at Vegas refund makes an awesome sheet every year it's like you know consensus mocks tracks all the top mockers even if we look at that right now number three David Bailey is 30% drafted there then franzis is 22% then you have Arvore's 15% Jeremiah Love 11% not really reflective of the odds and right now if you look on Calciss some of the prediction markets you can get David Bailey is low is 17 cents which is equivalent to like plus 488 to go number three overall so like there's not a lot ton of liquidity there I'm looking at like 180 bucks but I mean that's you know not terrible for what you're looking at there so there's a lot I think a lot up in the air if you think that Bailey is a good fit number three if you think that there's more there than just like he's the next best talent or maybe he is just an express talent to make sense here too but five to one or almost five to one I don't think is bad odds for a guy that's literally the most like paired player there right now according to all the mocks and your mom yeah in the germ i love price would be like nine nine 50 or so yeah let's see here is that where number three pick plus 380 on drafts which is wild and he's actually yeah on Calciss he's 20 cents so he's has better odds to go number three than David Bailey I think that's probably just market inefficiencies to be honest right now for sure it always the whole thing is right now yeah so yeah like I mean we've talked about before we're not going to release plays this early at this point you know it's super early there's not much out there that we can really get down on but I don't know some of the prediction markets posted some of this stuff like I think doesn't hurt to kind of take some sprinkles here and there on on different different plays like this because it's just like not efficient relative to what like the best mock drafts you're putting yeah thousand percent I feel like that's the game to play if you're getting down early is just trying to get some good plus money equity some CLV stuff that can end up you know moving a little bit in your favor because it is I think it pretty inefficient market for now the during my love stuff I think is interesting I do think there's something to be said for these you know situations where you have a new coach or a Michael floor coming in from the Rams to be the head coach but you have a kind of a lane duck general manager situation right like money all support is still there and it's going to be really hard to continue to survive if you're not putting out a winner he's not had a great string of success so far he is yet to he's made 28 picks he's yet to draft a pro baller or an all pro and like we know the pro ball threshold is pretty low right like we continue have like these quarterbacks that make the pro ball just in field right he feels got invited to the pro ball so pretty low threshold and support is not cross the bar yet so I do think he needs a little bit of a home run and you know out of Jeremiah love to maybe we don't know if the quarterback situation is in Arizona but a Jeremiah love with you know Michael Wilson Marvin Harrison Tramick bride offense in the NFC West gets a little interesting now again they probably have to beat teams you know 45 to 42 with their defense but you can see that has a path forward to be like hey what's our best shot to win my best shot to keep my job is to win in 26 who gives me the best shot to win and that would be maybe a running back which is kind of unique I like the Rubin main selection at four I think he's the best edge in my opinion he again will be a historical outlier based off of his arm length at the position we just do not have a ton of success of these guys with 31 inch arms shorter but like Scott like you said the tape is fantastic and he's not like one of these just fly up the field edges like he is fantastic against the run sets the edge very well really kind of the full package here so I also can see a situation where like no GM wants to be like yeah I want to put my you know plant my flag in the sand take a historical outlier which is going to be very easy for people retroactively to point back to me like yeah why did you take this guy no one's ever been able to be successful before with this kind of like makeup but talk to me what you thought about being before into the Titans. I just think that's a team that needs some type of identity and I think he fits with what their head coach wants to go ahead and build and I think when you start looking at that defense and maybe like slotting him in next to a Justin Simmons and that's something that can start to give your defense of front and identity and start to cause problems where you have to legitimately make a decision as to which one of these guys are you're going to double team and it's going to set the other one up for success one on one and I just think look I watch the college playoffs and I like what Rubin Maine put on tape I think you know regardless of of his arm length and you know my arms are longer than his so yes he is going to be an outlier but I just think he's a he's a well developed defensive lineman who has multiple ways to get to the quarterback and those guys a few and far between those guys go high and when you have a new coach that's looking to especially a defensive coach that's looking to kind of come in and rebuild that team and his identity I think Rubin Bain makes a little bit more sense than Jeremiah love at this point in time from the information that we have yeah that's uh that's totally fair I moved to the giants but then we can kind of just kind of group these next I guess you know to the top 10 picks if you wanted to get somewhere else Connor Scott mocks sunny styles uh number five to the jets or to the giants I'm sorry offball linebacker it's in need Bobby O'Carrykake released you know pretty much every other linebacker offball linebacker on the squad is a free agent as well which is I think notable now this is another situation like Austin Fort in Arizona where we have a new coaching staff but a holdover at general manager uh Joe shone Joe shone has leaned very heavily on premium positions historically 12 of his top 14 uh or 12 of 14 top three picks have been premium positions per cleave t.a.s uh site which people definitely need to check out has got a lot of great draft stuff in GM trends over there as well as also lead heavily on razz prospects nine plus which sunny styles more than checks the box here what are your thoughts here on uh on sunny styles with you know a carnal tate still on the board or again the giants are terrible they may have a ton of means they can obviously Caleb down doesn't play for them what are your thoughts on the giants Connor yeah I mean it at some point I feel like they've got to start like I don't know focused on like you know obviously they have they have the multiple you know like the big pick last year was like what do they do at three and then obviously they ended up getting Jackson Dart and then so I ended up you know working out I guess in the sense but it felt like now they're just continuously sinking in like uh you know defensive side uh you know drafts capital obviously they did take me league neighbors someone really recently as well um but at the same at the same time I feel like supporting jacks and dart should be priority number one um and like building through there so I know sunny styles just actually murdered the combine and that he's probably a prospect and technically is a need there um you know I haven't dug in enough to know exactly what that would be but I have I tend to think that they would probably look to support dart first but we'll we'll see from there I mean that's from my understanding that's why whatever day we got fired right and it's like he just let him do whatever got injured like you know and he didn't I mean he didn't have the surroundings but in the fact the joshan still there is crazy but um I don't know it's the world we live in yeah yeah did you give consideration to uh you know a tater any of the water severs if you had a receiver number one obviously we have the carnal tate you know hand times first uh you know combine uh situation which I love I love chef chef chef for dunking on uh profile ball talk there but uh any thoughts there Scott when you were making the mock yeah I actually uh I tend to like offensive line actually a little bit more than than wide receiver even just because I think the the free agency is going to kind of end up filling that that wide receiver position for for the giants I definitely think they do need to go in the direction of building around Jackson Darden and and not allowing him to run so much and get killed but I think when you start looking at john harbock and I think he's going to end up trying to mold this team into a little bit something similar to what he had in Baltimore and so I kind of put sunny styles in that slot because they need linebacker help they have a fifth and sixth rounder that are scheduled prior to free agency um to his horse with their lineup looks like so I think styles would immediately slot in as a starter at their at that linebacker spot and with what he did at the combine um and specifically I was really impressed with his tape and specifically his tackling I think he had like a the highest um mistackle rate as far as like you know like a 97.5 percent tackle success rate or whatever um you know on the season and you know he's a guy that that switch position so his 2024 tape wasn't as good as what he put on tape this year but then when you start factoring in his ability to go ahead and cover in the you know the experience he has is playing a safety I think that fits in along with his athletic profile to what modern day linebackers that are going to be drafted this higher value that's yeah I love it I mean converted safety absolute dog can cover me he deserves to be a top 10 pick he's uh some of you go go watch his basketball highlights oh I've seen the best like the image of your hugs I have the the best like basketball highlights I've ever seen for a non pro player the cup of disgene mixtape's are pretty pretty solid too uh dunking on these you know five ten kids just you know no chance uh yeah you see these electric so very excited for for sunny styles um all right monor off-reeling at six to the browns I love it um my mox my first is done I'm writing it up I also had monor off-reeling to the browns is a little off-market you look at the Vegas refund sheet that Connor is referencing which everyone should definitely check out and uh scoop up from from vr at Vegas refund on twitter you could find that and uh you can get that um really kind of all over the board but I think the assuming this is probably some of your thoughts here is well scott they have two picks six and 24 offensive lines atrocious they did recently trade for Titus Howard uh from the Texans who is a right tackle um they have a dire need at left tackle and all these other offensive linemen for the most part you know when you get into the uh you know magoa uh iona's a guard um you know Spencer Fonor these are all right tackle prospects uh whereas Freelink played left tackle at Georgia is a monster of a human being ten razz I think had the second and third largest arms you know arm length and and biggest it's kind of like eleven inch hands just not just like just wapid people say yes he's a I think he's trending trending trending and I think this is pretty interesting and uh like seen it there too scott so uh Connor any thoughts on uh what the browns do or Freelink in particular yeah we're looking at I mean 78% right there it's the third highest on the sheet basically for like of the browns drafting in all of position offensive line so I mean seems pretty consensus I think the only thing that is a little off market would be Freelink over franzis uh at this point Scott any like reasoning behind that or you're not in franzis or you just you know like what's the kind of what's the the thought process there so the early the early rumors and things that started coming out of the combine is you know when you start looking at the two other tackle prospects um you know as far as muah goa or came in pronounces the name um but he's more of a he's more of a right tackle they they have him slotted in as a right tackle and then when you start talking about Spencer Spencer Fano he he's his arms measured small um short they're talking about possibly moving him in to guard um and him being a guard prospect and so a lot of the rumors and the information that I was getting out of the combine was that when you took you look at like Monroe Freelink how he tested his measurables and then go throw on his tape and look you can go you can go on x or twitter and you'll find some highlights i mean he's got good tape he comes from you know uh scc you know school he's played against top level competition um so i i think when it's all said and done and one of the early bets that I would like once the market opens up is to see where Freelink comes on the board as far as being the first tackle taken um is something that I would I would look at and I just think he's going to continue rising um throughout this interview and this pre-draft process and I just think the measurables are off the chart and I think many he scouts and many gms from what I understand from what I've heard think that he has the highest ceiling of any of the tackle prospects here to go in the first round it's one of my favorite looks early to him we get you know first offensive lineman um Freelink will be a dog um I think it's a pretty interesting look I think yeah I don't I think the left tackle right tackle thing is is a thing for sure considering the Howard move and again they could they could go wide receiver here too I think that's definitely something they need to address but like if they do want to go offensive lineman you might as well take that pick first get your guy uh and I think you'll probably still have you know one or two of the you know top-ish wide receiver still available when you get around to pick 24 so uh Caleb down seven to the commanders again uh unbelievable talent uh tape is insane at non-premium position uh safety very important in Dan Quinn's defense he loves to bring that you know strong safety into the box he loves to blitz from the second level linebacker safety so downs makes a ton of sense uh I have stunning styles there because it's another I think a perfect fit if if styles were still to be on the board but I think those are two great picks but Scott I know we talked uh your commanders fan you can see them probably going a number of ways you know they can definitely address wide receiver offensive lineman go anyway I I could see seven different players going to the commanders here and it's all dependent upon how the board falls like if David Bailey slipped down to seven he could be the pick I sunny styles would be my personal you know preference of who I'd like them to get but then you've got other people to to think that you need to take some pressure off uh jaden daniel's and get more premium talent around him and that could be Jeremiah love so I think all of these players like ad in carnal tape is a wide receiver because they're thinking that this may be terremacal horns last year in in Washington so I think that the roster is a lot more talent devoid than what many people realize and I think that showed a lot this year when they had some injuries and stuff happen um so I think they could go a number of different directions specifically when it comes to calddowns he had some medical things popped up I think he has a partially torn meniscus my understanding is that that's not going to the injuries won't push him down the draft board much um from what I think five or or so GM said um and it more comes down to a premium position issue safety's not usually a huge position it's going to make a big difference on your defense but what what comes out of the the combine and interviews as far as calddowns is that he's super prepared he's a very smart player and he's a player you put in the back end of your your defense and let him go ahead and call the defense from there because of the way he views and has the instincts to go ahead and break down all fences in the plays that are coming his way um so I kind of feel like calddowns is almost a safe pick for team that needs a lot of help on defense and it's going to have a lot of turnover now with that being said Washington's a team you definitely have to pay attention to in all season because I think they have the third most cap value so they're going to be very active in free agency and they're a team who their draft process and who who's going to be selected there is definitely going to be molded by positions that are getting filled during free agency yeah ton of cap space um uh carnal tate's eight corner to the uh to the saints uh first team off the board um you know again referenced earlier the hand time controversy but uh tate I think could you know start coming off the board anywhere from you know pick five on uh any thoughts on tate to the saints who obviously have a you know it's not pretty behind chrysalovey um you know they have a lot of needs there too and he thoughts on uh tate or downs I guess if you know I skipped your down thoughts if you want to add the commanders now I mean I guess my question you guys do you guys think that carnal tate is significantly better than like kind of that it's seemingly next year right now looking at like macaillem and jordan Tyson um thenzel boston uh like I mean that group like it I mean he's he's pretty consensusly mocked on the top ten right now we're looking at a range of like but uh I'm gonna mean eight to 14 ish I mean five actually I've seen this high as five it depends on the the mock so like pretty high like I mean he's gonna go very high like do you think that he's worth that like is he thinking he's significantly better or is it just like the saints need a wider seaver and so everyone is mocking him that are basically at this point personally i think those first three are pretty interchangeable depending on team needs with carnal tates um macaillem and and uh and jordan tyson but uh you know we'll see the process it seemed like in the last month or so scott that tate it kind of moved to being more of the consensus and then the combine you know wasn't great for him depending on you know again didn't fill out you didn't do all of the work and stuff like that but uh do you have a thought well i think as far as like jordan tyson for a long time he was kind of like thought to be like the top wide receiver coming out of here um but he's got some injury concerns um as far as his career progresses and goes on downalon macaillem and had a very strange interview process throughout the combine that a lot of people kind of poke and hose through and just a demeanor some people even are going as far as to the arise that he's tanking his his driving stock on purpose with some of the stuff that he was saying um so those would kind of be like your top three guys and i think when it comes down to it i think carnal takes just the cleanest part cleanest prospect as far as the those three wide receivers um lemon's going to have to fit very specifically in in that slot role i think for what the saints are looking to do i i think they need a bigger receiver opposite um you know of alave in that room i think you look at a high estate and and they've traditionally pumped out really good wide receivers that have transitioned well to the nfl and then you know trying to put players in talent around tiler shook to make him as successful as possible in his sophomore campaign makes a lot of sense to me um the other position for the saints that i think they would be interested in is if one of these ed drussers are ruined vain and david bayley you know somebody like that were to drop down jeremy loves the other person that bill player that kind of gets like mocked to them they're at eight and i just don't see the saints in their front office traditionally they have not gone and valued running back in the first round um i i think that's more of a third and fourth round play for them um and i just don't see love being being the play there for them at eight the fascinating tell is perk again cleave ca the saints have not met with their first round pick in the last twelve years so they meet with somebody that's a top ten top fifteen type prospect cross-month list smoke screen it seems like uh and again like i would say small sample if you were to say that's a couple years randomly but it's been over a decade since they met with the guy that they took in the first round seems like there's some sort of strategy there that they like don't want to like met ever or like like like because like scot tracks like there's like five different kinds of meeting you know yeah so me to the combine have them in for a host of them for a visit i'm not quite sure i'm assuming it's probably the official visits yeah um it'd be really weird if they had never talked to the guy that they end up taking it's you know investing in right answer about their their team now i'll extend it would in the cap situation for sure but yeah it seems i would assume that that's uh you can check on that but i would assume that that's probably one of the uh official visit list situations so that's interesting yeah because i wonder if there's like some level of like oh they did a combine visit or something but they didn't do an official visit and then they can narrow the list even further you know something like that um moving cross reference after the show but yeah i don't know that's saying they're in an interesting spot so yeah i the the tate stuff just stood out to me it's like clear number one and that's not how i envisioned this i kind of thought he was more into the regular tier and also and i'm skipping here to the end but i i love kc conception i think the guy's just really good at football so like um i don't know being kind of like a back end first round pick would not be surprised seem to go higher but i don't know you know i don't know much about like the and i guess like intangibles and any of the visits and any of that stuff yet so yeah yeah without a doubt a first round i think you'd do see all five of these you know receivers go in and they'm definitely some other people that like some of the other guys they're in kind of the next group but um we'll see i mean i think there's a handful of of team needs to that kind of you know marry well at the back end receiver wise when you get into the browns you know like scost says still thinks that you know buffalo still in play san francisco's wider super room is is tough um you know you could see the patriots looking to do something there so i think there's a ton of needs nine with Kansas City we've not used to seeing Kansas City with a top 10 pick i think they do have a variety of needs math a little bit different now we have them at pick 29 as well um whereas you could see them looking to address um filling in for Trent McDuffy um scot i don't know if that would change what you would have done here if this would have been made uh you know before the facts uh during my love feels like again a gift to put him with patching my homes maybe a position of luxury i feel like there is she right stuff kind of forces their hand to uh because that continues to be a problem talk to me what your thoughts were with love in in Kansas City i just think Kansas City is struck out at running back over the last like few few years um you know they years ago they draft a clotter with teller that didn't work out they drafted him over Jonathan Taylor imagine Jonathan Taylor was on that roster so i think when you start looking at some of the stuff and especially the issues that patrick mohomes has kind of had a little bit i i think the two positions that really stick out for me is would they go ahead and go best player available if Jeremiah love is high on their board and available here and that's kind of the route i went but i think they're also going to be looking to go ahead and and put something else on that defensive line so if you have one of these ed rushers um go ahead and drop down i think that would make a lot of sense and then you know since they're they're getting that 29th pick from from the Rams almost in my mock draft i still think you know Terrell would be in play for them there um he's you know really good cornerback out of Clemson he's you know got the the lineage with his brother playing well um you know in for Atlanta and i think he would still make a lot of sense with their scheme and the way they run things so you could almost just go ahead and flip that logo to a cheese logo at 29 and still have a viable pick therefore couldn't agree more yeah like i like him there is would be a great fit for them on the outside and willing tackler i think they do ask their corners to you know be pretty heavily involved in the run game they play a decent amount of man so uh player likes real would make a ton of sense kind of any thoughts on love or uh kids sitting here uh which you expect to see there you guys think that almost like the clotted root to layer stuff made actually like persuade them otherwise against going with an early running back like i mean from all accounts clotted root to layer was like hand picked by my homes and you know that group to be like their guide because they obviously did they did pick him over Taylor and i think a couple it was Nick Chubb someone else was in that group too there was like two or three guys that went in that second round range um and then they got burned by it and it was a luxury pick of the time remember they were set up really well defense playing well align was great you know like what do we need we just you know running back to picked him i don't know i i guess like maybe there's i think there's two ways to look at it like where you mentioned scottal like they need to get the position right versus like we just picked a guy you know first round and like it sucked so we'll just figure it out but their running backs have just been absolutely dust balls for like three two i mean forever basically at this point so um i don't know i guess a line i think it makes sense for in my opinion for them um or corner i think probably makes a lot of sense after after um you know the current trade yeah yeah i mean i don't think love i don't think he makes it to nine so i think of this in some being a moot point eventually where where do you think you go and i know we you know i mean i think i think three four seven like Arizona Tennessee Washington um i think those are all really interesting outs for him um i kind of agree with scott on the new Orleans thing but i think new Orleans is also in out for him i hate to bounce around here but i just remembered another note from the commanders like they at the combine they talked about like the gm talked about how they need like a playmaker basically and like they're gonna drafts playmaker and like they want it some like explosive like someone explosive now you know i think the obvious pair there points more to jerem i love then i guess anyone else on the board at this point maybe that's a defensive playmaker maybe it's you know sunny styles they they consider that to be playmaker think only newton and uh you know other defensive minded individuals would would point a a guy like styles versus someone like love but i don't know i thought that was interesting though yeah i got uh i dp only best ball draft and sunny styles more right before my last pick i was very very frustrated very much want to do snipe the many styles very much looking for some uh some sunny styles in the portfolio this offseason for sure so yeah i mean uh what unlocking again certainly back unlocking a uh quarterback dynamic rushing quarterback with a dynamic running back would really pop for the commanders uh what jane daniel's can do there if there's a real threat for uh with those you know rpos look like or uh lots of different stuff so that would be that'd be exciting yeah i just i think when you look at the depth of wider seaver questions about what Travis kelsie's doing moving forward uh where he is in his career be like all of a sudden wider seaver's actually like a position of need for that team so uh yeah i have a hard time seeing them pass and i think same thing like scott said if uh rumen bane or someone fell i would also be something made have to take a long hard look at uh board shakes out pretty poorly here for the bangles who i think are desperate for defensive line help and edd rushers specifically even if they didn't completely fumble the bag with traindrickson and he was still going to be on the team they would still desperately need edge help uh they did manage to fumble that bag and he's going to be gone so they would think what they would love an edge here but again taking the top corner is also a need uh as well obviously i think offensive line but uh you know Mansor delaying had a really really nice season at ls u that's a pretty good tape uh before he transferred there as well but i think he is uh terrific prospect and probably the cleanest of the corner prospects there scott uh i think you would probably agree having him there i had a mccoe at 12 yeah i just think that uh especially being a homer here at ls u um i just think he's the cleanest barf speck for team that has a lot of needs on defense the other thing that i really considered here is at some point in time they have to get the damn offensive line right and and and do that but the defense is just so the defense is on struggle bus and and they need to go ahead and add some talent um but those are kind of like my two thought processes early on in this process with uh with the Bengals and and some of the teams here that have a lot of holes yeah we we we got some uh news here about two things here the saints uh and Cameron Jordan are not going to be um he's he's not going to be on the saints he's going to be a free agent and the bears got a second round pick for DJ more for the bills use his Christ i'd trade them too um thank you around picking that contract for the bills for i mean it's again some funny money at the back end but like it's a good job at the bears um yeah good job at the bears Ryan polls just continuously gets handed like these crazy deals maybe just an insane negotiator we just don't know it or like is yeah you know good at picking his mark but i mean he has just been fleecing guys and making all the wrong decisions otherwise it feels like and now is somehow in in insane team and has a great coach and we quarterbacked wow i think you really have to start to cross question Brandon being as far as a GM i think this is like his last year he has not had good draft results um you know over the last uh every many years you're talking about money off and foreign not drafting probolars are all pros and i think you can put being right there in that in that situation and outside of outside of having Josh Allen at quarterback has not been a good run yeah it's uh it's it's not been great um that's a good job by the bears you know they have some needs too right me you know kind of surprising retirement you didn't think you had to do anything along the offensive line you you know or maybe needed to do something along the offensive line with some late season injuries and then uh yeah good position for the bears i mean i think they get i think they're gonna get max crowds made to be honest i think i do too it makes too much sense i thought that the deejaymore could be a part of that deal i think remain admins can be a part of that deal um you know apparently the raiders are ready to have a need at off all linebacker and still a young player and max crossby on the other side uh of Montess sweat would be pretty interesting um yeah all right cool good good for them all right we got about seven eight minutes left um we got a heart stop here so we can kind of bounce around uh scott will give you the floor there's any other uh team picks that you love uh any other guys maybe some guys that fell further forward you going through the process based off of team needs kind of take us anywhere you want it we'll bounce around here a little bit well i think the first team that i kind of want to talk about is the cowboys they have uh needs in long net secondary um they also have two picks you talk about max crossby and what the raiders might want i think the cowboys could make a lot of sense um especially where jerry jones in a way he likes to make splashes last year you know he went ahead and lost his prize defensive player um and i think crossby is a a guy that a lot of teams are gonna go ahead and and look to but i think the raiders want something heavy so teams that have multiple draft picks in there in the in the first round could make a lot of sense you know cowboys being one um another player that i think is interesting from both the fantasy football and real football standpoint is kiannan to deak um the titan i think he's got a wide range i've seen him mocked all the way up to nine with kansas city um i think he's a good fit for uh carolina there at nineteen if he is to go ahead and make it down to there um because that's a young team trying to build you know around a quarterback you know they they struck gold last year with with tecnic millin add another piece um but the only issue i have with them as much of a good fit i think it is the rumors coming out out of combine is they're going to be very defensive oriented in the draft so to deak's a player that you could see move here in my mock drafts as things change and then another other player i think that you really have to start to pay attention to is tie Simpson because he's going to be the second quarterback um you know we don't know what's going to happen with with pit'sburg they're in kind of quarterback limbo tie Simpson could be in play uh twenty four effort to to cleveland depend upon what they want to do um so he's a player that could be all over the board i actually kind of thought about having him at twenty nine with the rams maybe you know with second uh with two for frond draft picks going ahead and maybe having a mat staffer replacement but um ultimately i i think he ends up going a little bit closer in at sixteen to kind of twenty twenty one range um so so that's kind of where i had some you know issues kind of slotting him and um other not the real issue for me has been um slot in these defensive tackles in i need to do a bit more research as far as defensive fronts and fits is how they're going to slot into certain schemes um with some some of these teams and then um look uh it's early on in the process so you're going to still see a lot of free agent moves end up starting to dictate how these boards fall and things will start to get a little bit tighter as far as player to team fits yeah i want to ask you about that too because i know you had mentioned the struggle there and out again interior defensive line is pretty weak in top having in the draft there's a handful of guys here you have you know Peter Woods and uh Kayla Banks uh who i think are both undoubtedly first round picks uh going here the rest of the draft class is a couple guys behind it but it falls off pretty quickly and it is a horrendous position in the free agent market so or if you are in need of a interior defensive lineman uh that's impactful uh other than just you know someone eats naps i think that pushes some of these guys up the board a little bit specifically so again uh those are a little bit tricky types since it's interesting like i'm i guess you hear pretend i'm a quarterback whisper uh i thought he's pretty good i think there's arm strength and there's athleticism um but it's the back end of the year wasn't terrific um so he could be all over the map and would not be surprised to see him outside the first round but um you know Pittsburgh makes some sense there too caught any thoughts that you have here on kind of the back end there any particular team position anything you want to talk about talk about it ties Simpson feels like exactly the kind of guy who's gonna get pushed up somewhere and some all takes one team to fall in love with them i mean just a couple years ago we were talking about bonics in the same regard and Michael Panics and you know they went fringe top 10 uh or top 10 for Panics this case so all it takes is one of these teams that needs needs a quarterback and there's plenty of them we have the other end oh two right we have like the will love us uh Malik Willis like these guys are going to be you know last year right uh Sanders right you just have these guys like oh yeah they're undoubtedly going to be pushed up and then you just have a handful like well no they fall off kind of yeah i mean i feel like shitter is just another case we just didn't know we're gonna do there with you know that now he's just a total not ball um so it's a pro baller corner he has a powerful tape awful yeah yes is uh i mean as Peter Woods picked to the Bears would be really nasty but i'd imagine that pick would not be theirs if they were to make a trade for max cross be i imagine that pick is involved in the trade uh we'll see i mean because if he's not and it's Peter Woods um Montes sweats you know Geron Dexter that that's bears get pretty interesting pretty quickly here if they were able to to add it um this also pulls is also another guy that uh like a key messador is a guy that i'm fascinated by there's gonna be 25 when the season starts um that's gonna cross him off some teams first round boards instantly because some teams aren't gonna take a 25 year old in the first round but he's also very good like if you know you're watching uh you know bane and messador amiammy um it's hard to kind of separate you know who's clearly better um you know bane's not even he's like 20 and a half i think or you know you see young guy so you're talking about four or five year differences why you would see these guys go so differently in the draft but uh messador is very interesting i think for a team that's probably ready to win now plug him in and you know get a lot out of his first contract and go from there so he's a he's a fast standing one for me too so it's gonna be interesting a lot of movement once free just he comes so okay sweet this is great all right just getting started uh probably be off next week i'll be off next week maybe the guys want to you know hang out without me have a guest whatever but we're in the swing of the season Scott um something else you want to say before you wrap now i'm just good to get a feet wet today time to lock in i have to start uh really
