This is a ranks crew I've worked with before. I've got Pat Fitzmore, who is my ranks buddy. We've been doing this for years, and we even were doing shows with Scott Keanowski a couple years ago. We were talking ranks. We're talking RVs. Scott, it is great to see you, my friend. How are you? Doing great. Doing great. By the way, I'm very excited to see that the draft assistant comes with free shipping and handling. It's a nice touch. Good kudos to the graphic crew, just crushing it on that segment. But anytime I can talk football with two of my good friends and running backs, right? The position that matters. If you had the Genie that gave you the answers at one position, you would ask for the running back answers. So let's try to be the Genie in the bottle today. Yeah. And by the way, I felt like I sounded like I did go through puberty. I lost my voice earlier. Like, I sounded so young. I did do that video. I think like the voiceover a couple of years ago, I was like, hi, I sound so young. By the way, in the middle of the last segment, Fitzsy messages me going, I now can't unsee the John Lackie thing. I'm so glad I said that. It's like literally one of the, like every person I've ever been said you look like, they're all just offensive. And I'm just like, okay, but the John Lackie one does follow me. So Fitzsy, thank you for now being unable to see. Well, you breathe out of your nose. John Lackie breathed out of his mouth. This is a big distinction. That's true, that's true. But I had John Lackie on a long running, American League only fantasy baseball team. When he was at the absolute height of his powers with the angels, he's probably like my all-time franchise leader and career wins. Got two championships with him in a four year run. So like seeing you in it. Well, it's going to bring back good memories now. Great. Well, I hope I can bring back like the thank him for the 4.46 ERA had with the red socks out. Those are good times. All the football people are like, what are we talking about? It's baseball, but we've got football for you. So we are talking about our RB ranks. And we are going to be digging in on the fantasy pros, ECR. We're actually going to be looking at the top 36 running backs. And how this is going to go is we're going to looking at RB1s, 2s, and 3s. And we've got Fitzsy, who has kind of picked out a player. We've got a couple different categories of maybe a guy miss ranked, a guy too high. And then we're going to have both of you guys break these down. But I would encourage everybody in the chat, it's RB time. So if you want to get your questions started, let's talk about some running backs. Put them in there. Set this going to be picking them out. And then the last 10 minutes or so, depending where we are in time, we're going to bring up and talk about some RB questions. So let's take a look at the big board. And let's take a look at the top 12 running backs, according to ECR right now. The crew and the names that you know. Jameer Gibbs at 1, Bijon Robinson at 2, Christian McCaffrey at 3, Jonathan Taylor, James Cook. There's your top 5, Chase Brown at 6, Aquam Barkley at 7, Devane at 8, Omarion Hampton at 9, Derek Henry at 10, with Ken Walker, and the falling Ashton Gentie. Gentie obviously with the injury scare. We've seen some adjustment. I think I've even seen him in some spots go as low as 15. If you guys want the latest as far as 80 P goes, check out real 80 P on fantasy pros. But this is where the expert, the expert consensus rank has it. And first up here, in looking at these running backs, a running back that is ranked too high in the top 12. Can they really be ranked too high? Fitsy, you picked out a name for us. So you give us the running back in the top 12. That is too high. And then we are going to see what Scott P. Nalsky thinks. I really don't have that much of a beef with Omarion Hampton's ADP become two spots lower. And Hampton was a pretty exciting prospect. Big back with good speed, kind of a bunch of passes in college. Now he's in seemingly a really good spot with Mike McDaniel running that offense. The charger's offense line should be much better than it was last year with improved health, although they've already lost center. Tyler Beattage to a season ending injury. Thing is, McDaniel's been pretty forthcoming about wanting to use all of Hampton, Keith Mitchell, and Cmoney Vidal. And Mitchell and Vidal are pretty good for backups. And honestly, we don't know what Hampton is yet. McQueen only got nine games out of him as a rookie. And he broke his ankle in week five. Didn't come back until week 14. He did give us five touchdowns in nine games and had 32 catches in those nine games with five or more catches in four of them. So that was encouraging 129 yards from Scrimmage in a touchdown against Denver in week three. That's a defense that eats glass. So that was good. 165 yards from Scrimmage in a TD against a much worse Giants defense the following week. That was his only 100 yard rushing game. I just, I don't think we can look at what Devon HN did with Mike McDaniel in Miami and project that on tool, Mary and Hampton in LA. These are just two really different backs, wildly different body types. And by the way, HN topped out at 14.9 carries a game last season. That was a career high. And I'm sure Hampton investors, especially if they're drafting an RB nine are hoping for more rushing volume than that. So like so basically it just, it comes down to this. Like we know what the other RB ones are. Other than not knowing exactly how Andy Reed and Eric the enemy are going to use Kenneth Walker in Kansas City. But still we know what Kenneth Walker is. There's proof of cons with all the RB ones. Hampton is in this Mike McDaniel offense with two pretty talented running backs. It's just hard to project what sort of number that situation is going to produce. Interesting note, when you look and we can look on ECR, we can look at individual rankers. We have multiple people that have them as the third highest running bag. I say we, it's industry. It's all the industry people that are submitting. There are a couple people that have him in the top three. And there are six that have him as a top five running back. That is more people than that have him as a 16 or worse. So there are more people ranking as a top five overall back than there are being 16 or behind. Is RB nine too high? Scott P. Nalski, what do you think? You know, Pat gave such a complete answer. I'm not sure what there is left for me to say. I have a bunch of points and I was just checking them off. You know, the offensive line, McDaniel, the loss of the center. I was even going to use the term proof of concept. And Pat took that off the board too. I do think the top 12 running backs, the listing is pretty tight. And I don't have major quibbles with it. I have a lot of teams I've started with running back running back starts. And I think those are teams that I really like because the receiver is deep enough to start hitting in the third, fourth, fifth round, sixth round. So some of the teams I've built the fantasy index mock draft. I started with two running backs, five receivers. And that's my favorite team I've drafted all season in part because it's been injury-free for the summer. But I'm a half step behind on Hampton for the reasons Pat outlined. And I'd also like to have somebody a little bit more solidified that proof of concept. Derek Henry is going to fall into the end zone 14 times. Did you know in the last four seasons, by the way, Lamar Jackson has two rushing touchdowns from the five yard line and in compared to Jalen Hertz as 39 and Josh Allen has 33. I mean, Derek Henry scored twice since we started this segment. Hampton's not a bad pick for me, but I can't say he's a proactive pick either. - Hampton comes in at 13 in our projections as far as running back goes, 13th overall. And then real ADP, he's 11. So it kind of speaks to this with an ECR of nine, ADP is going lower. Projections have even a little bit lower, but I know he is a popular pick. All right, let's now move to the RB2s. We're looking at half, half PPR, ECR. These are going to be 13 through 24. Looking at the big board, as you guys can see. We've got Kyron Williams coming in at 13. Javante Williams at 14. Breast Hall, Josh Jacobs, Jeremiah Levitt, 17. Travis H.in at 18. With DeAndre Swift, Kams Gattaboo, Bucky Irving, Quinchon, Juttkins, David Montgomery and Basel Tutton rounding out that becomes our 24. So in this segment, we are going to be talking about mistiered running backs. So Pat, you're going to give us the positive and negative mistiered running back from this tier. And then we're going to see if Scott's going to agree with you. So what is your positive and negative from this tier two RB? All right, positive. Ever since Kyron Williams became the Rams lead running back, it seems like fantasy people been predicting his demise. Kyron has scored 15, 16, and 13 touchdowns over the last three years. Getting that sort of TD production from one of your lineup spots. Basically, a touchdown per game that's so valuable. The Rams were one of the best teams in the NFL last season, and they have since added Miles Garrett and the two starting cornerbacks from the chiefs. The Rams should pretty constantly have run friendly gamescripts this year, you would think, as they are, plus Sean McVey is one of the best run game designers in the league. And no team is going to stack the box against the Rams when Pucheneku and Devonte Adams are on the field. Now I do think Blake Korum is a really good player who could eat into Kyron's workload even more than he did last year. I like Korum at his price more than Kyron at his. But Kyron Williams has finished RB2, RB8, and RB11, and a half point PPR fantasy points per game over the last three years. So it's not exactly a bold prediction to say, I think Kyron Williams could finish an RB1 range for a fourth straight season. And by the way, it's Kyron Williams' birthday today. He turned 26, so happy birthday, Kyron. - Oh, he's almost, he's got a retire. It's get his ARP card from the NFL at 26. He's got two more to think good here. Did you guys see that step by the way? That it was like, it showed when Nick Chubb retired, it was like Sony Michelle, Nick Chubb, Todd Gurley. And it's like all three are retired and they're all under 33 years old. And you're just like, what? - Crazy. - What are you talking about? They should be 50 based on my brain with that. So I love that happy birthday to Kyron Williams. What's your negative? Or that was too low, so then what is your too high? - Yeah, Quinch on Judkins. And I get that he has sort of a workhorse profile although it does seem like he's probably gonna come off the field for Dylan Samson on passing downs. Maybe not though, because I know they felt they couldn't use him on passing downs last year because he missed all of training camp. So maybe he does play more on third downs this year. But the issue is that the Browns offense could very well be the worst in the league. Their quarterback situation is bleak to put it mildly. They've added talent to their offensive line in the off season, but now the offensive line is a bunch of guys who've never played together before. And Judkins is coming off a pretty major leg injury, dislocated his right ankle and fractured his fibula in week 16. I know he's looked good in camp videos, but it wouldn't be that shocking if he got off to a slow start due to lingering effects of that injury. Mostly it's about just not wanting to hitch my wagon at all to the Cleveland Browns offense. - Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. - And Sean Clements. - We host the podcast, Hollywood Handbook on the big money players network. - Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Like, you're like, "I don't work to save it." Everyone's so dumb, it's for you. - And fake. - Right, fake, and also not interested, or just like, "Oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life." - And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. - Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally, he loves the show, and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy. Me and Bogman just did an in this league episode talking about league losers and winners. And really what it was was his aggregating and was looking around and trying to aggregate who other people are talking about. And we were, you know, looking for the term bus and Bogman put this together, no running back had more aggregation of being a bus this year than quench on jetkins. He was the number, and he was like the number one player of all the positions of the amount of different articles from around the fantasy landscape that have tabbed him as a bus this year. So it's really, really interesting. So Scott, we're gonna throw this to you then. Kyron Williams is ranked too low. Quench on jetkins is too high. Do you agree? And even if not, is there a player that qualifies for you in this list that you would like to throw up? But I'd love to get your Kyron Williams and jetkins thoughts. - Yeah, strong agreement on jetkins. It takes a village to prop up a fantasy running back. And what does he have? A team projected for five and a half wins. A team with the worst quarterback clown car in the league. And a team, when I last looked at the consensus offensive line, rankings including fantasy throws rankings with a bunch of other sites I respect. The Cleveland Browns were ranked 30 second. And last I checked, there were 32 teams in the NFL. So I know part of jetkins on my team. I respect Williams. I agree with Pat's assessment that he's generally been underrated. And maybe we've been going him a little bit too much when he's been a solid player, but he's not going to catch the ball because the ramps throw to their running backs less than anybody else. And I can't unsee what Koram did. Maybe the second half of the last eight or 10 games last year, where he produced about a 900 yard pace with seven or eight touchdowns in a full season. I think it's a 60-40 in that backfield. I think it could be a hot hand situation or God forbid anybody fumbles or blows the puts assignment. Maybe somebody gets moved ahead of somebody else. There will be games where I think Koram is the more productive back, or he just gets into a rhythm. And maybe they ride with that. So they're both good players. They're both going to play. Of course, it's the ramps. It's McVeigh. It's a team with positive game script. It's probably the best and most complete team in the NFL. So I don't mind drafting Williams. I'd rather take Koram and ADP so that lines up with Pat as well. And anytime we agree, I feel better. I will say the guy I'm really targeting in this tier and a lot of my teams are going to start with running back. So maybe I wouldn't draft somebody in this second tier. If it's 13 to 24s, but on some leagues, I'll get a third running back. If I need that second one, I think the injury is swift. With Menongai dinged up, and offense, I trust. I just think he's been a good player in an overlooked player, because he got kind of run out of town Detroit. He landed on his feet in Chicago. I think he's just one of those boring middle of career veterans that sometimes tend to be overpriced. I find myself with a lot of swift shares as we head into late August. And by the way, not only is today somebody's birthday, today's also a national dog day. So shout out to my pit bull Jimmy. He's just a lovely yellow dog. He's having a great day today. August 26th and DD. - Why we plan Jake to have his dogs on camera clearly. We knew that. We just didn't have a graphic made for it. But yes, shout out to all the dogs. I will say an interesting thing on the Bears thing. And that same thing kind of talking about the aggregation that I mentioned. Kamenongai was the second most league winner running back that was written about across the land. Cory Croskey-Marit was number one, offensive line. Very, very interesting list here. We're gonna be talking about the tier three of running back to someone outside of the top 36 and we might be looking at. But how would you like to know what your league mates are gonna do? And that list from 25 to 36. On the big board, we've got Travion Henderson in tier three at 25 Giderian Price at 26. Remundrae Stevenson, Jalen Warren, Tony Pollard, Rico Dattle comes in at 30, Jonathan Brooks at 31, JK Dobbins, Chuba Hubbard, Blake Corm, J. Corey Krasky-Marit, and RJ Harvey. That is the list. So now, which running back do you believe can jump into the RB2 or RB1 territory if you could pick one from this group, Pat? Who is the biggest potential riser? And there, I think there's clearly names who probably would never account for this. But there's at least a handful of guys. that there are some huge big feelings on and people are making some big bets on who's the guy that you think can make that jump? I cannot wait to see what my golf buddy Scott Pinowski says about this because he is a New England native and I really like the idea of betting on Travian Henderson this year. And it's funny over the last week or two it seems like there's been a noticeable shift of opinion on the New England backfield all off season. Everyone considered it ambiguous and now it seems like most people are leaning into the idea that Ramondra is going to be the lead guy and I'm not saying that opinion is wrong but I do question the level of scrutiny in that opinion. I mean, nothing ever changes in the NFL, right? Everything stays static. Ramondra was the Patriots lead back in the playoffs so he's just automatically going to be the lead back again. Situation is completely calcified. No, I'm not trying to be a smart ally and I do realize that Mike Vrable has kind of an old school approach and is going to make Travian earnest striped. And when Stevenson missed three games last year, Henderson had 330 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns in those three games. He was RB three and fantasy scoring over that stretch. And Henderson also had two other two touchdown games when Ramondra was playing. Henderson had four runs of 40 or more yards last year. I think they might have all gone over 50 yards. Stevenson has three runs of 40 or more yards over his five year NFL career. So I think we know with the more explosive guys and people don't really talk about it any more, but Ramondra is Stevenson has fumbled on two percent of his carries over his career, which is not the sort of fumble rate that endears you to coaches. Now, the fantasy pros real time ADP tool and shout out to our developers for coming up with the best ADP tracker in the business. Real time ADP shows that Travian Henderson's ADP has dropped 3.7 spots in the last seven days. His ADP now sits in the early sixth round rather than the late fifth round. I hope that ADP keeps sliding because it's like, I want to have Travian Henderson on at least a couple of the teams I'm going to be drafting over the next 10 days. And by the way, I just like it's actually 5.4. He continues to drop like it. And that is definitely why you want to check out that tool seven days 24 hours real time gives you a really good look. So Mr. Pianowski, buy or sell Travian Henderson has the highest boom potential if you will of any of these running backs in tier three. Yeah, I'll sign off on that. Obviously excited about Henderson's ceiling. We know last year he had a great camp and became a buzz player, became a helium player and didn't pay it off. But I want to approach this backfield kind of in the same in general sense. The same way we used to look at the Lions' backfield when they had Gibbs and they had Montgomery where everybody knew Gibbs was the home run hitter and Montgomery was the more grinder back. They were both going to play. They were both probably going to be productive in fantasy staples. Stevenson is 25 pounds thicker give a take pound than Henderson. So it makes sense that maybe Stevenson would be the go-line guy, although Pat mentions the fumbles and every coach hates fumbling and you always wonder if somebody coughs it up a couple of times if the roles could be flipped a little bit. But I've been generally taking Stevenson just because he's the boring veteran value who goes a little bit later. Henderson, they didn't hand him anything last year. They made him work for it. And I think even at their best, you're hoping to get 13 to 15 touches from these guys. I think the idea that either one of them will be a bell cow is probably not going to happen. The wingle also has a mobile quarterback and Drake May, he'll take some of the production off the table. So I see the case for Henderson. I'm okay with Henderson at cost. I'm not going to reach for him. But my draft profile and maybe my draft strategy has led me to more Stevenson's share so far. All right. The final thing in here would do a little lightning round on us. We can get to a few of these RB questions. But outside the top 36, so not on this tier that we've talked about. If it's a you could pick one running back that you want to lock into that's got the potential to outproduce their ECR. By the way, I love this name because I got screamed about by doing this name as well on a short. So I already know who it is. So why don't you let everybody else know this outside the top 36 running back who can beat their ECR. Jonah Coleman, Broncos, rookie, not fast, but I think pure speed is really his only short coming. Like he's decisive. Good contact balance, hard to tackle, good as both past catcher and past blocker. Sean Peyton took Coleman out of the Broncos first preseason game early on and was asked after the game. Why Coleman came out so early in his answer was, I didn't need to see additional evidence of what I've been seeing for the last three weeks. We know Dobbins is a worrisome injury history. RJ Harvey wasn't good after Dobbins got hurt last season. Sean Peyton, Peyton routinely deployed like two and three man backfields in New Orleans. Coleman is going to play and he might wind up playing a lot. Scott, what do you think about Jonah Coleman? I like him. I agree that the biggest takeaway for me is that Harvey really dropped his opportunity last year. Dobbins got hurt and Harvey was a great disappointment. I realized the touchdown deodorant made everything kind of smel good at the end. But if they were in love with Harvey, they wouldn't have drafted Coleman as proactively. Then he's a perfect prototype NFL body. I think RJ Harvey might be a player, people are cutting in the middle of the season. Let's see what RB questions we have got here. Let's see. Let's do this one. Gentie and Smith or King Henry and flowers. So the classic which RB with which wide receiver would you want early RB early wide receiver, 50, which grouping? The only problem is I don't want both Henry and flowers together. So I guess Gentie and Devante Smith, although I do now post injury, I have Henry ranked ahead of Gentie. Okay. What do you think? I definitely agree with the Baltimore guys other than the fact that I don't want the two Ravens who can't score in concert together, but they're Henry's going to fall on the end so 14 times and man, they cannot cover flowers down field. The guy moves like a slinky. I can't wait to see what Declan Doyle does with that offense. So I prefer not to double up on an offense, but I think you get more value from the two Baltimore picks. A lot of barkly questions I see and a standard lead. Would you take Henry or Barkley Scott? Yeah. I'm going to go Henry again there, although they're in the same bucket for me. And I think they're both excellent second round picks. It's in fact, if I had that choice 10 times and 10 leagues, I'd probably set six, four, seven, three. But Henry to me feels a little bit safer. 50. I've got barkly ranked higher. I just, my actual real tables tell me to avoid that 33 year old running back. Absolutely no side of Declan. Maybe it's coming. That's true. I know. You could see like the Declan coming because his efficiency went down last year with Henry. The idea that he's getting at all worse that it's caught up to him. It's all on spec because he none of it has shown up on the field or in the stats. He isn't actually human, so we can't hold him to human standard. Well, I made the comp pad about a week or two ago. I said, I think the real comp for him, it isn't any football player. It's Dolan Ryan. Yeah. No. Wow. That's a good feeling. A lot of baseball in the segment. I like it. I like it from guys that like some baseball. Breeze Hall or Jeremiah Love. Fitsy. Still Jeremiah Love. For me. Yeah. I hate to ever pick a jet. But Jeremiah Love's hurt right now and there's decent players behind him. Give me Breeze Hall. It's a funny video going around, because I live in Arizona. People showing Breeze Hall was like delivering pizza and he's like running up the stairs. He's got a bunch of pizza and everyone's like, he's healthy week one, lock it in. They have multiple guys. I even think Barner might be a short yardage specialist like he was last year. I've had a hard time signing up for Price. No. I don't remember. We've done this a couple of times. Are you higher low on price? Fade for me. Not only a slow on board, Scott, but like just as the most important weeks of the fantasy season come up, back comes Act Charbonne to to mess with Price's role. That's like the prospect profile is a little iffy, never got to see him do workhorse duty, didn't catch a lot of passes, fumbled quite a bit. So I'm just, I'm not there with Price. I'm looking to draft cook over Taylor thoughts, Fitsy. I'm okay with it. I've kind of gotten back and forth on those two, but yeah, just cooks in the better offensive environment. I'm on board. We know Debra would be with that. What do you think about that, Scott? Yeah. I talked about that fantasy index draft I did. I started with Taylor and Cook. So I like both of those guys, but to me, Cook is an early second round pick, but you take him in the first round in case of emergency. You break the glass. If you're nervous about Indianapolis, all the receivers are hurt. Daniel Jones coming off a major injury. I think sighting with Cook would be perfectly reasonable. James Cook, I want on rosters this year. A lot of James Cook stuff here. I will do two more. Keep Scott in the 13th round or I'm Aaron Hampton in the 5th round. We'll go to you, Scott. I'm not even a scattered guy, but that value is so screaming. I think you have to check, Scottaboo. Yeah. Fancy. Same. It's that good. I think so. Okay. I mean, you know, I'm a little bit dicey on just like what they think of Scottaboo, but it is like a huge round value. I will say this to some degree when you're getting a good value on either player some people would say just take the player You prefer and don't get caught up in the extra value because if Hampton is up being better than Scataboo You're just going to be mad you didn't keep the better player. I do see some school of thought with that But the gap in rounds is so significant that unless you hate Scataboo I think you have to keep them and Shout out to we if people don't know we've got a brand new dynasty channel It's its own channel here on fantasy pro So make sure you go and check that out all these things are discussed It's I mean Fitsy lives on there. They obviously brought the shot white in for a specific thing to catch passes And Jaden Daniels just took 725 and 7 off the table. So Married in the you know JCM in the right situation Krosky-Marit I'd be in on I just think Washington looks like the wrong situation right now He's one of those guys you just like look at this opportunity and he's priced low But you're just like oh like the offense. I just like so worried about it And it's like if they cannot move and can't run the ball It's like this was built for Rashad white, but they'll see if they give up every opportunity and Well, I don't know what you guys think.
