I'm not just a radio guy, I'm also a realtor. I talk to homeowners all the time. And what's the one thing many homeowners have but rarely think about? It's equity. It's something that can quietly grow over time while you're busy living your life. And for many homeowners, it can be an opportunity they haven't explored. Whether you're planning home improvements or preparing for whatever comes next, your home's equity may be able to help you. It's important to understand what's available and to find out the right option that fits your goals. For me, I wanted to put a pool in my backyard and finish my basement. I didn't have the money available. So I went to Stockton Mortgage. They found the equity that already built up in my house was able to use to install my pool and finish the basement. I would have been able to do it without them. As Stockton Mortgage, they'll walk you through the possibilities, answer your questions and help you understand your next step. Welcome to our two of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Now, here's Matt Jones. - Welcome back. It is hour number two. Kentucky Sports Radio 8.928.02287. (crowd cheering) There you go. Text machine 772, 7745254. We are on the road to Norman Oklahoma sponsored by Alumni Hall, Gary C. Johnson Law Office and Paul Miller Ford. Good thing we got the big expedition 'cause we got another person in the car. - Got to find a way to pile Drew in there somehow. - We'll get him in there. Text machine is 772, 7745254. One person writes, Matt, we've ruined the seasons of three teams so far to Saturday make four. You really could argue that that's true. I mean, we essentially ruined A&M season. We kind of ruined South Carolina's. They did beat Florida, but I think they were still pretty mad about the Kentucky loss. And then you look at LSU's back half of the schedule. I think we kind of ruined theirs. And if you take Oklahoma out, Oklahoma's back half of the schedule isn't as hard. So they think they have a chance. You could take them out and then all of a sudden ruin four seasons in a row. - Yeah, Oklahoma, they're down compared to what they want to be doing right now with two losses. But their two losses were at Georgia number two and at Michigan, which they're down. That's still going to the big house. That's not a terrible resume when you also have a win over number one, Texas. So even though they're not in the projections and not ranked, their fans are probably telling themselves, we're fine if we can just go out and get hot and win some games, but you could put a stop to that tomorrow. - You're talking about ruin those teams playoff chances too, man. Those were three teams they thought we're going to playoff. - I don't think South Carolina did, but the others probably. - Yeah, I think the others certainly did. There's some more SEC games tomorrow, real quick. Alabama and Tennessee, you think there's any chance the balls are able to knock off the tide? - I don't think so. I get my Tennessee vibes. I'm in a group chat with my dad, my old neighbor. And I can tell when they're not in a good place. And they have not been in a good place this season. They seem very upset with their new quarterback. I mean, they keep going back and forth to Tennessee. They're not scoring like they normally do so I like Alabama there. - It doesn't, we probably want Alabama to win, I think. I mean, I think you want, I mean, obviously we don't like Tennessee. But also now I'm starting to think playoff. Tennessee is going to be a team that could still compete for one of those burs, be nice to give them a loss and put them towards the path, Ryan have not been able to make it. - You know, all these SEC teams that had new quarterbacks, the Tennessee guy was, I think I'm sure it was rated way ahead of Kenny Minci, but I think Kenny Minci is proving everybody wrong right now. - They have really struggled on the offensive side. I will say, we're going to be having our game so we won't see it. But it might be one of the better atmospheres in college football and Provo Utah tomorrow night. BYU fans are saying maybe the biggest game in the history of their school as they're ranked in the top 10 and Notre Dame is coming to play them. First time a top 10 match has ever occurred at BYU is tomorrow night. That will be a cool thing to see. - Yeah, two of the last undefeated teams, I think, isn't like, I think BYU replaced USC in this series. - I think you're right. - And Notre Dame probably thought, oh, you know, take a little step into this. - It's been a little easier game, no, not now. - Much harder. - That's a huge matchup. - Much harder. BYU, I talked about this on Matt Meyer. They've been building for 10 years kind of for this game. I mean, they basically, 10 years ago, decided to invest in their football program, try to join a big conference, try to get a playoff birth, you know, 'cause they were good in the '80s. We've been in a long time and now they've kind of built it back and they get this chance here on Saturday night. What do we expect in the atmosphere at Oklahoma? We've never been here before, so I don't really know, what do you think? The huge, I wanna, you're gonna ride that little, what do you call it, the little wagon? - Wagon, the boomer. - I still think I think of, is that wagon turned over? - What's it called? - Sooner scoops, excuse me. - I should know that one time, well, it's not a wagon? - I'm just saying, we're going to their building, it's a cheap wagon. - It's a cheap one. - I saw it flip over. - Yeah, I, I, one time I said at a blackjack table in Vegas, and every time the guy won a hand, he would sing boomer, (singing) and I, I just made it to where I wanted to just throw him through the table. So I've always kind of hated that song because of that. - Well, you've always heard it's one of those environments of college football that's awesome. And you have to go see it for yourself. So I'm, that's why I'm excited for this trip, just to see what goes on there at Oklahoma. - Yeah, we haven't played there. I think I saw, we played there in like 1982 or 1980, or something like that. And that's the last time we've played there. - I just like away games. I don't get to do them very often. But I like how you're kind of, you find your Kentucky fans, and it's you against their BIOS fee booth. We say this season, if we do say fee booth. - But it's fun being in that visiting section when you're outnumbering, you're all banding together. - Are you, I mean, obviously there's a ton of people here, but I've had people riding me saying the Louisville airport was packed with blue, a flight to Nashville, someone was on, said was completely blue. Are you, you know, are you surprised? The way this fan base has sort of gone crazy in the last few weeks, or is it like Larry Vaught said for 30 years ago that this was a football state? - I don't know if you know this or not, but Kentucky is a football state. I think it's because we've been kind of down the last couple of years in football and basketball, and we finally have a reason to stand up and celebrate and be happy. We're like, overdue to have a good team, a good season. And I think that's why so many people are excited about this football team in this game. I think the basketball team's sort of mediocrity is part of it, Drew. I mean, a lot of times we see this happening for big basketball games, or for the NCAA tournament, or for, you know, the champion's classic. I think our fan base wants to have these big moments, and now getting to have it with, football's a good way to kind of release it. - Heck yeah, and I think this weekend, you know, since the beginning of the week, I've been watching flights and hotels, and I've just been watching them disappear. I feel like there's a wave that just decided this week to go, a lot of people committed before the season, 'cause it's Oklahoma, and it's a new trip. But I think a lot of people decided kind of like me and booked something yesterday or the day before. - We've talked to all these people here, got up at, and drove to 5.30 in the morning, talked to somebody this couple right here, got up at 4.30 in the morning, and made the drive. I mean, there's like all, there are stories like, there's gonna be people just driving all through the day today. And, and get there i think if you're on that i forty four you might see a lot of uh. continue but we were at the gas station yesterday just at a random gas station all of a sudden all these continue fans poor out and start saying sorry mario you have to listen all that country music i mean uh. they're everywhere and then the ones that said they got football tickets but they couldn't get in volleyball tickets it's harder to get a volleyball ticket tonight and it is for a football game tomorrow i don't know people may not be able to get in the ball who know who knew fear scouper in Oklahoma the volleyball ticket may have been the one you wanted to have for to get into that one there's a moment with my complications where i thought i was going to miss you all here this morning and i was legit in a hitchhike and see how long it takes to get me hitchhike from where from where the normand i figured somebody would pass it from here to normand okay got to you know to talk to you can pass the body would have brought you somebody would have brought you who's up next to me again magon go ahead magon hello hello keep going and ready ask that so i've got gavin here we miss the invite for the post um. games show on saturday uh. when you guys requested that the kid who did the scuba thing and the flex call in also this is gavin who did a scuba thing at the end of the game with his uh. i just reenacted it here that's uh. is that you gavin so you did you did you well you did the scuba thing is that one of your your signature moves not really i just did it because scattered uh. okay yeah so you were you were you were following scratch okay so did you know did you know gavin that you had been on tv and it become a big star i did not know i was going to be a big star but i knew i was going to be on tv okay and did you feel like a big star your picture in your yet went everywhere the video yet but i don't know thing all week well that's awesome what i'm glad i'm glad gavin you uh. to true here was especially i mean the star of the night can he miss he's run was pretty cool but not as cool as the scuba in the flexed in the broadcast so gavin uh. wins your next game you're coming to uh. every home game every home game all right well hopefully they'll find you on the big screen again gavin thank you very much we appreciate it gives a little shot that he needs the camera i think he's somebody he wants to camera on him more than he does uh. the radio bright lights are on that's when he performs his best but they need to find out where he is every home game and put him on the jumbo tron place will go crazy if he keeps doing the scuba dance yes i don't even know what that is but i enjoyed it in that moment i felt that's something i could do it look that hard just health knows right i think you did uh. i think you did a good just recreated on the field in orman with their wagon can i do my little uh. if we win and lose moment here for this week okay let's start with the negative let's say if we were to if we were to lose first of all if we were to lose you still are going into the vany game five and two which i think almost no one in america would have thought outside of that locker room they would do i remember thinking if we can go into the david vandy game three and four i'd be pretty happy now you could you have a chance to at a minimum go five and two and that would be massive you look at the back half of the schedule there are a lot of wins in there you could get to bowl eligibility before the biweek that's unbelievable considering what the schedule was so even losing this has been a pretty amazing run if you win let's just talk about what happens you're six and one you're probably gonna get ranked twelve thirteen something like that you are going to be officially on the border of the playoff vandy comes to you next weekend you're probably gonna be a ten point favorite at home against vandy you're gonna have an amazing environment night game again post keenland saturday again a celebration that will be i think it'll be sold out and wild again win that game which you should and all the sudden you're looking at seven and one going into a biweek and over those next two weeks teams are going to lose i don't know who it'll be but teams are going to lose and probably by the time you get to that biweek the first official rankings after the biweek we will be in them okay we will be in the playoff if we're seven and one and then we will host we will go to noxville on November 7th want you to think what this fan base would be like getting into their cars and going to noxville seven and one that might be the most people we've ever had at that game right don't you think i'd say they're gonna find a way to put some blue in that stadium there's no doubt oh yeah and they they're never scared going into that game i think they'd be scared going into that game then win or lose in that game whether you're eight more than seven and two you would play florida with a win and the playoff is there for you on November 14th at home night game can you imagine what that scene would be like playing the florida gators with the playoff winner lose against tenisee the is right there for you how exciting is that and you know coach dine wants to win that game because so many people want to john someral here he wants to beat john someral improve they made the right choice so let's say you beat either florida or tenisee you don't even have to be both of them you just be one of them then you go on the road to columbia Missouri i think that will be a trip i'll go ahead and say if we're eight and two i'm going to columbia Missouri all right that will be the only time i will go to columbia Missouri but i will go winnable game they might be sitting there at eight and two as well to be honest with you they could be sitting there looking at you at eight and two and you could have essentially a play in game to the playoff in columbia Missouri can you imagine what that would be like and then if we were to win the saturday after thanksgiving is that a night game or noon noon it's early it's a noon after thanksgiving you could have those dirty cartels where wilston played quarterback down the street they come into your stadium and all you have to do is beat them and you go to a playoff that is not a ridiculous scenario at all and then if you were to win that game that saturday night would be without question the best saturday maybe outside of a couple of national championships and basketball but it might be wilder because you'd have all day you got me the game would end at five o'clock or three o'clock and by five thirty the city would be an anarchy that Louisville weekend we play basketball the night before at nine p.m. i say when that game ends everyone would just start telegating ruperina straight to krogorfield we got an early game the basketball game is at nine p.m. on Friday your post game show will open for your pregame show yeah you're going to sign off the post game show you will throw to yourself post game into pregame let me ask you i'm not i'm not committing to this but would it be ridiculous if the Louisville game for was was for the playoff if we just went all night i'm in the stevy got loose game my friend we tell get it for thirty six hours we got that i mean we did the show on well you know i have a little no i mean like i would other people would come okay yeah i'm going to do like i would post all of it but we did like post game show starts at like twelve thirty pregame shows over at ten and we'll bring the football podcast guys etc and we just went all night i'm like crazy i'm not a no you're right you're your post game show it in one thirty maybe two if you carry it out and then we would start at eight pregame show starts today so why not just fill it with six hours of other uk content sounds awesome except the one time we tried this really backfired for that Auburn game years ago but that was the old uk i mean i'll commit to saying i would at least consider it i ain't going to be on all ten hours but i would commit but wouldn't be fully billy would love getting run run the board oh yeah billy's just punching a wall right now i made up your billy to do that we'll take a break we are here in Tulsa Oklahoma on the way to Norman Norman this is Kentucky sports radio Lisa we should tell them about our new show oh my god lexie we have a new podcast it's called don't lie to me i'm lexie you want to wear two best friends twenty two years apart but so close at heart and i'm lexie de julio the old one which means we have wildly different references occasionally different opinions and at this point in my 50s i've lived it all i'm not So we met with a lot of larger farmers, went from Bahia to Tokyo teens to Montagroso. He brought a team of executives. They were gonna help the country get in on a gold rush. Carbon and his derivatives are gonna be really the next great commodity that the globe's gonna trade. But back home in Iowa, trouble was brewing. If you live in Iowa, your land, your water, and your voice could all be at risk thanks to a man named Bruce Rastetter. You still got, when we say that they are out the door, they are out the door here at Walk Through Plans in Tulsa, Kentucky fans came to this industrial park and showed up, Ryan Limon, you can't beat it, can you? I mean, tomorrow, people ask about the pre-game show, we will announce it probably in the morning. We'll probably go tonight and scout out, and see if we can find a place and then we'll announce, so be watching your social media. Of all of our trips on the road, we always have a Kentucky person show up. We've never had this many show up, I don't think I want to remote location. Yeah, I don't know if we've had this many in a random town, when we just announced at the night, the day before, where we were going to be. I mean, Denver, we had a lot in Denver that one time at the hotel, but this is certainly up there. It's good, combination of people live here, and people that were making the show. That's why we selected this easy-to-find location, to make it easy for everybody. I'm going to tell you, when we pulled up here, Mario and I were just like, they were laughing at me. Like, Ryan, where are you? Well, it's our show, and we couldn't find it. And so I was pretty worried about everybody else finding it true when it was our show, and we couldn't find it. I also was like, I want to surprise them, but I have no idea which one of these doors they're in. I was like, they're probably looking at me out of window right now. I just walk around this parking lot aimlessly. But you know what? Ryan Limit doesn't do everything perfectly, but he does do, though. We get the job done. They spell the word complete with a power can. It is with a K. Oh, it is a power. Well, it is a power. See? Good job. ShadyRays.com. Go to ShadyRays. I think he plays a lot of people. You know, it's an exhibition game. You're going to play some people. You're going to get to Frank on the floor, some. You want to get to Frank on the floor. We don't have a ton of guys, though. I thank you. You're right. We don't know if CAM is going to play. We assume CAM's not going to play, trans not going to play, Morton's not going to play. Who am I missing? That's it. If Frank is healthy, he's the other way. Frank, I think we'll play. Yeah. I'm very worried about the guard spot. Morton being out. It's a big hit. We still don't really know how long that is. Yeah. I mean, if that's long, long, that's a huge issue. Yeah, I think so. When they play games, you get a different set of media that come. You get like people who aren't able to come to the daily press conferences. So I think after the game tonight, we'll get a better sense on Morton because I think he'll be asked about that. And I think he kind of won't be able just to say, well, you know, we'll see. I think we'll have a better notion of if it's going to be, you know, two weeks or out for the season. You know, another guy, we kind of got high on and kind of cooled off on Braden Hawthorne. Where are we? What do we expect with him? To me, he's the great unknown. I have absolutely no idea what to expect from him. None. He could be the six man. He could not play. And I have no idea. What do you think? For me, anything they get out of him is a bonus. Maybe I'll be surprised and he's doing a lot. And I'll just be like, wow, I didn't expect that. That's great. But I'm going into the year not expecting a lot out of him. I will say at the, where did we just see him last? Was it madness? One of the most recent events. He did look like he's put on a lot of weight. That's always been the issue with him. He finally has some size to him that he lacked for a long time. So who do you feel confident? Zoom, Wilkins, Milan, Malika. I'm starting to get confident in Jal a little bit. I need to see in the game. Okay. So there's five. I'm confident McBride's going to give you something. So that's six. I'll be confident. Frank will give you something. That's seven. Mason Williams. Feel confident about him. I love Mason Williams. He's going to play. He won't start, but he's going to be on the court. He's going to get some minutes. So that's eight. Anybody else? Hmm. That's about right. So eight guys. Then who's your. Cam would be your ninth if he was healthy, right? When he's good to go. I'm just not expecting him to come to the finals. So that's kind. I mean, is that the team then? In our mind, should we assume those nine guys are essentially the team? If you get something from Braden Hawthorne, that's great. If you get something from Trent Noah, that's great. Yeah. If Jerome Morton comes back, that's great. But really, should we assume that's the nine guys? And that kind of goes with what Drew's been saying all along. He likes our starting five. It's the depth, the guys off the bench that are still a little bit of a question mark. So you need to go out and prove it to us. Prove it to Coach Boat. Yeah, people keep thinking I'm saying we're going to stink. I actually think we're going to be good. I just worry we're not going to be good enough. Like the seventh in the SEC. I don't think that's outrageous. I think they're going to win a lot of games. It's just going to be that awkward spot again. Yeah. And we're like one injury away from. See, that's my biggest concern is you are one injury away at the guard spot or Malachi from it being in it. Like, you lose. I mean, I'd hate to lose me, Lon. But Cam Williams could give you a version. version of Milan. You lose one of those two guards or you lose Malachi and where we're in Trump. And even Frank's never played a full season. I mean, you're going to need him backing up Malachi because if Frank has to miss some time, I mean, it's Reese Potter the backup to Malachi. He is right now. Yeah. I mean, Reese Potter is probably going to play a little bit because at some point during the year, Frank or Malachi will miss a game or two. It's just inevitable. So you're, I mean, Reese Potter is probably going to be playing occasionally. I mean, Grandpa Frank is 75 years old. He's going to need a break once in a while. His body needs to be going to tear a break down a little bit. So that's where Reese is going to get to play. I liked Pope this week and media days said there'll be times where Alex Wilkins is the best player in the country. And there's going to be times where we're all like, what are you doing? No, he's dead. That is 100% right. And we just have to accept that. Like you're going to Alex is he's going to have to be Alex and there's going to be games where he's amazing. And then there's going to be games where you go, oh my goodness, why your Archie comparison. He's Arch. He's better than Archie. And I like Archie, but I think he's better than him. We'll take a break and be right back. This is Kentucky Sports Radio. TJ Smith, personal injury attorney called TJ. He'll make them pay. Now more of Kentucky sports radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones. See, I think this is a great song, Shannon. And welcome back to Kentucky Sports Radio. Yeah, that beat we were playing it. Mario, I was like, you know, just imagine that they remix this and put it in like a rap song. Turn up, Shannon, then think of a beat here. Come on, why couldn't you do this? No, he's not, he's not bad. You can do it. Jazz has speeded up a little bit. Absolutely. This has been the song. You have to think like a producer, like I do. You have to think like a rap producer, Mario, and you would figure it out. Hey, I'm not too a no. We did go from a 12th of time yesterday to notorious B.I.G. back back. Yes. Mario and I wrapped every word together. We did. Were you impressed with that? I don't know how you know every word to every rap song in the 90s. You know them all. Every word. I don't bring that out a lot here, but it exists. Well, juicy. We hypnotized. Oh, we hypnotized football Saturdays. He Kentucky me hours outside. Tailgate walks a stadium. That sun is in your face. And even when it's cold outside, you've erased it. So if you notice a spot that's new, changing or unusual, go to Kentucky Skin Cancer Center and they will help you go to Kentucky Skin Cancer Center.com Owensboro, Bowling Green, Franklin, Glasgow, and Powderly. It's Kentucky Skin Cancer Center where you're more than just a patient, your family. One person writes, "Mad if we win tomorrow, does that flip?" Cinnaka Driver from Oklahoma to Kentucky. You can end up absolutely destroying a really good high school class where you get everybody if you can get Cinnaka Driver. He's going to be at the game tomorrow. What do you think? Well, I remember long ago there was a fella by the name of Dane Key that was at South Carolina on a South Carolina visit and Kentucky kick their butt and Vince called him from the Kentucky locker room. Hey, Dane, listen to this. Heard everybody celebrating. I love that spot. That was Vince in his bass, called him from the locker room and said, "Would you rather be in here? Or would you rather be in there?" That's what's going to happen tomorrow. Cinnaka is going to be able to go to Oklahoma guys crying, licking their wounds, and we're going to be celebrating on the other end of the field. I would like that. That would be good. We're just going to have a big tight end game too. Let's just really show off. You're right. Let's get every tight end in the unzone and have will smile at him every time it happens. I saw one of the Oklahoma media people, one of the football people. I don't know if you saw his video. It kind of went viral yesterday. He was talking about tight end. He was talking about Willie Rodriguez. He said, "I've never seen a college football team in my life where the offense runs more through the tight end than Kentucky does with Willie Rodriguez." He was just absolutely praising Willie. He was like, "Even if he doesn't get the ball, he said the best defensive back follows him. If it's a running play, he has the lead block." He was like, "If it's past protection, he's the guy that usually ends up getting the best past rusher." This guy was like, "I've watched every Willie Rodriguez snap the last two weeks." He said, "I would pick him as an all-american." That was his thought as to how he played. We're even going to put him in the wildcat. He's doing everything out there. I know he would have another year left, but each week it's looking like that guy's going to make some money sooner than later. Keep him here. That's why he's on end. You don't want to go to the NFL. He's looking like it. He's on the boards now. He's also the dude that you feel the best key situation. Throw it to him because it feels like he will bring it in almost every time. The other two guys as well, Skinner and Boyle, those two guys are having such a good game. Boyle was his guy. Boyle. He can do it all. He can block. He can catch. He can run the football. He's a guy. I think Willie Rodriguez 2.2.0. I give Drew an Adam Luckett or as you like to call him PBD. I give the two of them a lot of credit. You mentioned it with Skinner. You mentioned it with Boyer. He mentioned it with Skinner in the year. You can have a situation where three Kentucky tight ends end up going in the NFL draft over the next couple of years. That's nuts. Yeah. I'm the Skinner guy. He's gone a little cold the last few weeks. Boyers get a lot more attention there as the second option. But going into the year, kind of thought Boyer was the the blocker and then Skinner is kind of built more like a receiver. You had two different styles of tight ends. But Boyer is really emerged as a past catcher too. And that wasn't as much the case last season. How do we feel about how Kenny Minchie is going to handle the environment tomorrow? I mean, handled it very well at South Carolina. Handled it very well at Texas A&M. I don't expect Drew for tomorrow to rattle him at all. It seems like for a kid who had never started until this year. It seems like he handles it well. Yeah. He seems so unbothered. Now that he's been tested twice on the road, one on both and then the game he won last week. I'm sure to be impacted a little bit, but I don't think there's a scenario where he's going to be completely rattled. His first road game as a starter ever was in front of 103,000 at Texas A&M. That's kind of wild. Yeah. And he ended up going what 11 for his last 11 in passing that that game. The dude can handle it. He's just a cool common collective guy. So I think he'll handle the environment tomorrow. Awesome. He's like a baby face disaster. He is. You know, I mean, he's got like this like he looks like a child and then his hair is all over the place. But then he's just the lack of turnovers. That's not would. So my head. The lack of turnovers is what impresses me the most because you would think a dude like that would make him, but he doesn't. He may take a sack to avoid the turnover, but I've been very impressed with him. And Will said in the preseason, you know, I don't need you to be Brady. Don't go out there and try to do stuff. You're not capable of putting some bad spots. Just remember, we're telling you run. And he doesn't really take any big chances. Everything's right there in front of him. Help guys are getting so wide open, but they're having been like a moment where you're like, Oh my goodness, what is Kenny mentioned you doing? It's he's been pretty level headed and consistent. Another thing from that uncut. How many of you have seen the uncut? By the way, I'll just a few of you. There's a great moment in the uncut before the game where Will Stein has a meeting with his coaches. And I actually really loved it. I thought to myself, that's a good message for a leader. I was even in my own life thinking about how I could use it. Will Stein was looking his coaches and he looked at him and said, I picked all of you because I believe in all of you. And he was like, don't coach scared. He was like, go out there. Coach your ass off, but don't be scared. Don't make decisions because you're scared. Make decisions because we believe in you and we know you can do, you know, you can do the right thing. I love that. I mean, he gives that sense of empowerment to his players, but he also gives them to his coaches. I mean, he's basically like, all right, go out there. Don't be afraid to mess up. Takes a leader who's like, takes a lot of confidence to delegate like that, but also to empower people. I just really like that scene. I think everybody's focusing on the halftime scenes and I really like that scene, which was kind of in the pregame. I'm glad you brought that up because you do kind of forget about everything else that came after that scene, but it is so powerful. Those coaches believe in him, man. Those guys in the locker room believe in him. Us fans, we now believe in him. And it's all because he is such a great leader. He's a leader of men. We talked about Carter Love, which in that uncut Jay Bateman and Joe Sloan were not scared. They got Will's message. They were also on fire in that locker room. I don't know if he sought out those type of personalities, but those guys were out of their minds. They had a good one. I mean, they're intense. You know, I don't know. Somebody was yelling at me like that. I might be a little nervous, but I'm not a football player, but those guys seemed into it. And then you can see the veins in their neck when they're talking. And then after the game, Will Stein's embrace of Joe Sloan. I liked a lot, you know, knowing what it meant to him to beat LSU, the school that basically they'd kind of run him off. I thought that was a really cool moment too. And to just come down to one play call for him. Yeah, one play call. And highly recommend that. If you haven't seen them, they're so good. Who's next? T.O. T.O. Go ahead, T.O. Matt, bless you. Glad you made it safe. Been your travels. But I think you walk, brother. It's been, it's been nothing but chaos this week. We got a new jersey, man. Traveled down to Tennessee in the South to decorate a sacred monument, cutting the head off a smoky dog. There's a guy to be a guy to play to him. Are you a Tennessee fan? I'm not a UT fan. I hate that. Why does it bother you so much as a rest of us? But you got to protect our statues, Matt Jones. So he's very angry about the smoky dog getting the head knocked off. Well, I'm sorry. I don't think it should have happened. But you seem a little more worked up about it than I am. Yeah, Tate's Creek is stinking. And we've got Oklahoma fans making fun of our grocery store field and calling us red necks And I have been to that McDonald's the worst woman. It's a day. You been to the McDonald's Corbin if you go, I'm sorry, I appreciate the call. I will be I'll be very careful if I go to that Corbin McDonald's I'm with you Shannon though. I bet they get more business now because they're considered one of the 10 worst I had no thoughts about it now that I know it's one of the worst. I want to go to see how bad it can be like what's the next time we're in Corbin, I'm going to stop it then we don't see it that cold. Is it you know it's as bad as it's yeah, there's no doubt we're going down to I 75 I know exactly what we're going sorry to the root beer stand. I'm going to go on the Corbin. Do you I don't know You guys that are live here do Oklahoma fans have like are they nice are they meet there you think they're nice? Okay, good because I like that I if well you live here you yes mind you're Kentucky. All right, well that's good Well, who knows better than referee guy. I like to hear that because you know, we've been to some places where they're a little rough We need you back in the students section. Yeah, come on. Come home. It misses your You were the king of like the energy and the excitement you and we need that back You can try. I mean you also it would be a little bit like you're what in your thirties now to me in the student section But nevertheless we could use it now bring come on back referee guy. We need you. Yeah, I'm kind of going into this and I could be completely wrong But I went to Texas was that last year two years ago and it was completely different than what we had seen in The SEC schools were used to almost one or vocal home is more like that, but to that point their fans were also kind of just like Now they're Kentucky fans. They were not there wasn't a lot of trash talk. Well, this one. I think they'll be more also This is a game like Kentucky's gonna be a little under the radar. They're there are big games in college football this weekend So we're not high on that list But if we win, I think we'll be continuing to to write higher We're gonna take a break. We're gonna make our final segment. We will make our early predictions Get Ryan pumped up for the game. We ready to go. Let's go. We'll Stein That was my excitement. Okay. Well, that's it. You did a good job. You could see it from barely keep these people controlled We'll take a break and be right back. This is Kentucky sports ready Lisa We should tell them about our new show. Yes, we're we're on Tulsa time darn it. That's right Drew Franklin who surprised us all here That was a great KSR moment you walking in with none of us knowing you were going to be here. Yeah Y'all knew I would get here eventually. I still got that dog in me. I couldn't let you go to Oklahoma without me I thought you might show up at the game. I did not think you were going to be here So that's that that that X that made me really happy see we're kind of a fun night tonight Wherever we're going. Nolan. Where are we going? We're going to Oklahoma. Okay. Yeah. We're gonna have a fun night No, we're gonna have a fun night in Oklahoma City. That's on me drinks on three drinks on three drinks on me Family on three One uh eight five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. So here's a little scheduling Kentucky plays Oklahoma in volleyball at six central that's seven Eastern so at seven Eastern six central there are a handful of tickets for sale You can buy them online. I would probably do that quickly if you're in the area then Kentucky basketball Is also playing at seven in Ruperina against Arkansas little rock Our pregame show tomorrow will start at four thirty Eastern Three thirty central will be doing one hour and then the postgame show will be from Norman Somewhere, I don't know. We'll see if we win We'll probably make it a celebration if we lose I'll probably hide somewhere and do it without telling the public. But either way we will do it and then Drew We'll go from there. Let's start with the basketball Kentucky is I don't know what I don't even do spreads in the preseason. I didn't even think to well I don't think we can protect in Oklahoma. I don't know. Don't have an answer. All right But let's see give me give me a score and an MVP for Kentucky and Arkansas little rock. Oh No, absolutely nothing about little rock because no one knows anything about little rock. I will say Kentucky wins 84 72 Okay, and you're in BP Uh, this will be where we see the good version of Alex Wilkins. There will be a lot more good than bad He'll get 21 points. All right. What about you? I think Kentucky wins like my 20 I'll go 82 62 and usually teams like this don't have a lot of height. I think Malachi. He took a big jump last year from Great Crossing to UK, the freshman. He's about to take another big jump this year from freshman to sophomore. So Malachi, the double-double. You know, Arkansas is a little like supposed to be good, but they also have a completely new roster, sort of like us. So I'm going to say Kentucky wins 78-65, maybe takes a little while to get moving. I'm going to say our MVP, I'm not what you said, Alex Wilkins. So I can't say that. I guess I'll go Meal On. He'll start his quest towards the most threes in the history of the university and make five tonight and help us get our victory. So be the first time he's getting those rubber in his sightlines of the crowd. This will be a big night. You need him to go like a super champion. It's tough to shoot there. We're all saving something, but what if you could say for something UK Credit Union high-yield savings account offers rate as high as $4.00 APY on bounces up to $25,000. UK Credit Union, we're not just for some. We're for all y'all. APY is annual percentage yield minimum of $1,000 to open a high-yield savings account. It's UK Credit Union ensured by NCUA. Cats at the Sooners tomorrow. Going to be a ton of Kentucky fans there. Our first trip to Oklahoma as an SEC team. It is the first time we've played these guys. We're the last two teams to play each other in the SEC that have played each other before. We're since the conference added the teams. Kentucky gets a chance if they can win to become bowl eligible. If they win their hopes at the playoff not only. I mean, they'll stay even with the laws, but they become really strong with the win. I'll start with you, Ryan. Kentucky at Oklahoma. What do you think the score is going to be and who will be the MVP? I think I'll be 21 to win. And our boys, Zewagi, trots him back out there for a game. We're all going to be sweat bullets and on our hands and knees praying. And Zewagi is going to hit it because Will Stein believes him. He called him a baller and Zewagi is a baller. So Kentucky wins on the last second. Zewagi will go 24-21. Who's your MVP? I'm going to take Willie Rodriguez for anybody else does because I think they do try to use him in all sorts of ways. Shannon, I'll let you go next. I think it's going to be a good back and forth game. If this game were at Kentucky, I would pick Kentucky, but I think being on the road, Oklahoma wins 27-23. Give me a big, darby as the MVP. Darby. See, you could say that because you're not see here looking at all these people. I'd say it if I were there. You know, it's easy. You actually would say if you were there. So anyway, somebody asked me last night, who is Shannon, the dude's core audience? And I said, "Contrarian." That's his core audience. Whoever is a contrarian, that's Shannon. He knows he's exactly right. All right, Drew. I mean, you didn't just get on the plane for your health. You probably, I would think, feel decent about it. So what do you say? Yeah, but guys, there's something bigger at play here. I've Mojo. Yeah. People have been really mean to me for picking against the cats. I need you all to understand. There's a thing going here, and I'm doing it again. There's just no way Oklahoma loses this game. John Mateer. He won't have a turnover. Zero turnovers. Perfect game. I say Oklahoma wins 73-0. 73-0 enough to heck of a game. Shut up. Perfect game for Oklahoma across the board. That's going to look so good on the graphic when he puts it up there. But the people that have been listening know what I'm doing. I'll pick against this every time. I can't flip. I wouldn't be able to sleep. Thank you very much to Paul Miller Ford, and thank you to Alumni Hall and Gary C. Johnson for this trip. We will be on it 430 tomorrow for the pre-game show. When Mojo is good, you can't help but ride the vibe. This has been so fun to watch this fan base be this happy. From Saturday to Tuesday, it's probably the most joy I've seen in this fan base since the ride in 2015 through that undefeated season for so long. I just can't imagine it's going to end on the plains of Oklahoma. I think tomorrow, Kentucky goes out, pulls it out. 30-24 Kenny Menchie, did you pick anybody pick him? No, I will pick him as my MVP, a touchdown pass with three minutes to go and then our defense gets a final say. Kentucky 30-24, thank you all very much. Here in Tulsa. Lisa, tell them about our new show. We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart.
