[Music] So I've been getting a little questions lately around why I moved to London. And recently it was my two-year anniversary here in the UK. Now for those of you that are just joining on to the Generation Elevation Podcast. Thank you, welcome to my show and I'm so grateful to have you here. My name's Elise and I'm a high performance coach who started off as a PT, nutritionist in Melbourne, Australia. I've moved around a bit so I went to Gold Coast for two years and then ended up off a very last minute moving to the UK based on my intuition. And I've been here two years since then and it's probably been the best decision that I've ever made in my life. So today's episode is going to be all that in detail. How I ended up here in the UK, what was it that really encouraged me to move? And then yeah, just get really honest with the details of what had happened and how I got to this position that I'm in now running my workshops with corporate and really big brands and also some of the most intellectually known athletes around the world. This where I am right now is the vision that I saw at the very start and I am so so grateful. Like the last maybe four or nine I've actually been really emotional just reflecting on how far I have come. And for those of you that are being with me through the very start of my journey, I would have seen like the transformation in just that episode of what I sound like now versus when I first started. And honestly, I'm so grateful for every single one of you whether you're new or whether you've been here. I want to like I am so grateful because without your support with now your words of encouragement for every episode. Like I wouldn't still be here like two, three years on doing this show. And I said thank you so much this is been a massive part of where I am today. So I never actually planned to move to the UK like it was never a part of my vision for life. I didn't really see myself living here. I knew that by a very young age that I would travel around the world and meet people. That is what I wanted to do. Guess this episode is going to be all about teaching you guys how to trust the signs. Trust your internship because for me there was many many signs. It all started back in Melbourne when I was personal training clients, doing their nutrition programs. And it was during COVID time so I was definitely in a period like a lot of people of self reflection, time to be still and really reflect on what it is that I want for my life. And for the first time ever I started experiencing this anxiety. I was really anxious and I didn't know why now that I am my future self. I can look back and know the answers to that and it was because my head was fighting my heart. The call of my soul was saying that there's more for me out there. And at the time I was genuinely really happy. I never truly experienced anxiety to an up degree and I was very lucky with my upbringing to be brought up to be quite ambitious and happy child. However, after I left school and I was running my business and everything was going really well. I was experiencing things like burnout. I was tired. I was feeling lost. And I was really critical and insecure within myself. This anxiety was calling me to move, to move from Melbourne to the Gold Coast, to explore a new town, linked by myself, linked my family and really just go and build on my business, my career. For me at the time it was purely just in fitness and in nutrition. So I did let check out the Gold Coast area and I loved it. I knew that's exactly where I was meant to be. The thing was I was actually in a relationship and it was a long term one for that age. I was in my fifth year with this person and on paper they were absolutely perfect for me. I manifested them. They have everything that I wanted in a partner at that time. And my heart was knowing that this person wasn't going to come with me. So from me that was a big part of my anxiety in that time of like why am I thinking like this? Why is my heart pulling me to go here when I still do love this person? But yeah, I know that this is something I need to do. I think if I had of stayed honestly that would never have gone away. And I think that feeling manifests the whole pile of other issues. I believe when you're not in alignment to what your soul is here to do or what you know in your heart is your destiny or your legacy or your goals to fulfill and you're not doing those things and you're avoiding it because of fear. I think like this is where you see like reoccurring injuries consistently getting sick consistently burning out. You see like things like acne or binge eating or coping mechanisms and mindless scrolling all sorts of things like this where it's like an escape mechanism to avoid what you know to be true in your heart. And yeah, that make you like quite generalizing in that statement. But I think when I share this I know that whoever's listening resonate with what I am here to share right now. So this is my personal experience. And for me, it wasn't until I truly let that go. And I mean, I can talk about that experience and a whole other episode of letting that relationship go because that was probably the hardest thing. One of the hardest things I ever had to go through my life of just trusting myself and trusting the unknown that that calling for me was what I was meant to do and the right thing. I left I left a relationship and I moved to the goal coast and literally the first week of being on the goal coast. And it was just so incredible because I met a friend who I've had on this podcast named Dan. He introduced me to another lady straight away who was running a breath work class on the beach. And for me, I started to scratch my head and I was like, what's breath work? I had never heard of this thing in my life. I was like, what is that? I remember going to this event and experience and doing the breath. It was conscious connected. So it was quite intense. And it's very similar to what I teach now in my workshops. And I did this breath work session and I was experiencing tears coming down my eyes and I was like, whoa. I had a, the facilitator put her hand on my shoulders, on my heart and just say like, you don't have to carry everyone else anymore. Like it's time for you. And she said something along those lines. And I remember just crying. Crying. And I was like, what? I never cried. That was the thought that I have and the belief that I never cried. So the fact that I was just experiencing this release, obviously showed me that I was holding so much tension in my body. So I was like, whoa. That was amazing. I have to go back and do that again. So every week I would go to these workshops on the beach in the Gold Coast. And I started meeting many incredible people and I started really exploring my spirituality, tapping into meditation and my own like faith and guides and secretities, was starting to appear everywhere. Now one of the visions that I did have on that beach was my set of standing amongst these tall, intimidating, Roman-be-looking lads. And for me at that point in my life, that was scary for me. I kind of was like, whoa. That's very intimidating to be in a room with such like, quite masculine men. And the vision wasn't me actually teaching them or doing some sort of Ted Lasso stuff on them. You know what, I've never seen Ted Lasso until like two years later, but that vision stuck with me, you know, I remember telling the instructor, I said, hey, I just had this vision and I think I've been to really teach men this work and how to tap into their intuition and their emotions and their purpose. And the instructor laughed at me and said, women don't facilitate men's work. I kind of looked at him and I was like, oh, okay. Let's go. Let's go. So in a way, that's been so satisfying for me because since then I've worked with some of the like top international sporting athletes who are men and corporate business arenas who are men and have helped them absolutely change their life and ring wire their beliefs to some of them. So that is really satisfying.
me and I'm like yeah, it's like in those movies where someone sells you the E-car and then the character goes in and does it, yeah let's go, that's how I felt. But from there I really was like okay I'm gonna work with athletes, nothing satisfies me more than watching someone being absolute flow and you can really see that on a plane field whether it be football or soccer or for my eyes you, it's up there or whether it be like basketball, netball, tennis, ever your sport is watching someone in flow is what brings the atmosphere, right? It's what gets the crowd going when the play is so perfect and the player knows exactly where the ball's going to be at the exact right time when they can intercept or it's just so perfect and for me this is something that I was actually really good at when I was a kid playing netball and playing sorts of sports. So for me it was natural that I wanted to work with athletes because I in the past had heard of athlete mind and there's coaches such as Emma Murray and the work she was doing with Richmond and I then started learning about Tony Robbins and I was like that is what I want to do, polis shit, this is exactly what I have to do in this lifetime, I'm here in work with athletes, we've got hyper-formers with people who are wanting to become in the best level version of themselves to take them forwards to the elite level to be in a flow to turn that switch on like life when they need it and the whole idea of working with athletes is there's less variables or that I can found the to measuring the effects that this work can have of brain on your well-being etc and from me when I do that and I facilitate workshop for an athlete or for a team eventually right is that I will be able to show the world how incredible this work is for you for not just those types of sorts of people but also for just the general population as well and that's why I'm so healthy, I'm only sufficient on this goal of working with athletes so I did this thing where I just created this program for athletes and I was really trying hard to manifest clients and I tell you what guys I have zero leads and zero leads at the time people were doing my free workshop yeah but I was so terrible at selling it and I had no some worth still I had no income coming in and I got to a point where I was like I have no idea how I'm gonna pay my rent luckily I had a friend by me and ticket to go and see one of my favorite mentors who I've listened to for years Abraham Hicks and she speaks about law of attraction and manifestation all sorts of things like this quite often and for me she is someone I really resonated so I went to her workshop and I remember just feeling so high of my afterwards just knowing that everything is gonna work out so the next day I meditate and imitation I have this strong calling to go to the beach and it was super early and I was like okay I'm gonna go to beach and sit so I went to the beach and I just sat and I remember thinking like holy shit I don't know what I'm gonna do like I have no idea what is next but it was like this feeling of absolute surrender of it's gonna be okay whatever is happening next is gonna be okay and I just I took a deep breath and all of a sudden my phone started going off at least at least at least can you take a call right now and I was like sure okay what is it sure I know it was my house made who I used to live with in the Gold Coast who had moved to London and she called me and she said hey like I got a leave for you and they are a professional sporting person and they play football or soccer or Aussies they play international games in the UK and I was like okay very not eating about who this person was but it was actually someone very well known and I ended up working with them this was like the nightingale that flame and that sparking it for me and I was like oh my gosh this shit this stuff that I teach actually works because I haven't been practicing it I know leads for so long and I started to doubt I started to to distrust in things that I have been taught maybe this isn't for me maybe this isn't gonna work out and all of a sudden as soon as I let go and soon as I just trusted this opportunity came through to coach this professional athlete and there was a point when we were working together where all of a sudden everything started to click we rewire subconscious programs we healed inner child work and we stepped into the high self potential together and I saw his performance increase immensely and I remember waking up every morning and seeing like this play rainy kicked a goal picked for England and I was like well I've got this shit works this works and I now need to show the whole world what the power of the mind can do so build a little confidence and started running my workshops and events in the gorkos which went really well and they did one in Melbourne and it came to about April time where every day I seek in meditation I sat in meditation this one day and this huge energy come through me I was like you need to move to London on the 20th of May and I heard this intuitive voice and I was like that's not right like I'm just making it up you know that's not that's not so together pinch of salt whatever whatever like now I'm just being a bit curicube the next day I woke up to a person development event and I sit next to a lady who I get to know and she's a writer she seems really cool she says to me yeah I'm going to London on the 25th of May for an expo and I just sit to her and I'm laugh I was like oh that's interesting and I have to go see them so they're telling it is I was like yeah so I'm really I'm yeah I'm gonna go and learn them two of the 25th of May and I just kind of went along with it the signs and synchronicities from that day made it undeniable the London is exactly the place that I need to be next I started to see London everywhere through songs London calling London bridge right then triple angel lovers triple seven triple eights and a plate saying like trouble or words or advertisements talking about London or go evolution and summation words and I started to see everywhere of like yes yes yes and I remember calling my all house mate who lived in London and I said I think then to move to London as well and she just laughed and she said at least oh my gosh I wasn't literally just about to look for a housemate here in London why don't you come and live with me yeah I was like well this is getting it too good to be true so I'm like okay all right I'm gonna do it and I'm very grateful because she helped me get set up like visa style and told me everything that I need to do and know before I move to go so I had a place I had security of like visa style so it was fine so I asked myself okay this is really gonna be a thing like what do I need to do good I need to speak to before I leave what I lose do I need to close and I intuition in meditation set cool Adam now Adam is one of my friends who are out of my podcast as well and if you go way back two years ago you'll see my ever so with him where we talk about his captaincy for the England cricket club and I I met him in Gold Coast anyway he just said at least like I'm gonna be in London at the end of May I'm gonna be there for three months and I'll show you around and I'll introduce you to people in cricket and who knows what opportunities to come from that and I literally remember going for a walk in broad beach along Gold Coast in Australia calling my dad and I said people would pay thousands and thousands for an opportunity like this and I have this head to me I know that I need to go and I just ask myself what is the worst thing that could happen because the worst thing that could happen in my eyes was I'd have a good holiday and a good storytell so I booked my flight and did play that was flying from Gold Coast to London was following trip of seven and I remember by just booking that flight 30 days from when I had that intuitive download up you need to move on with 25th of May it was literally a 30 day period of time to decide I did it and I moved I rocked up to the apartment where I was staying with my old house.
I was around and on the wall is this beautiful Gustave Cleen to picture. Now at the start of the year, before I knew I was moving to London, I enjoyed to represent a new chapter of my life. It was beautiful and gold and it was the art of Gustave Cleen. So when I moved into this apartment and having this up on the wall, the same color as the journal when I bought. Before I knew I was even moving was my sign I was in the exact right place at the exact right time. I've been sharing this with you. I have so many goosebumps right now because I know London is exactly where I meant to be still. And the first six months of that journey I just met so many people in Crickair and just through Jim Culture Hill. Now I've been sharing something with you because in the middle part of my journey here in London it was fucking hard. It was so hard and right come by you and hit the ground running. Even though it's the same language I was Australia in London. The culture is different so it took a while for me to integrate to the culture here and different societal norms the way people speak the way that people congregate and communicate this completely different to the cocos. The way that I teach was not reciprocated well in the environments or verbs that I was in because they'd never see anything like it for or heard anything like it for. It's very scientific, very evidence-based and I was forced to really sit back and go holy shit like I need to like I need to study I need to refine my craft as well as being here in London. I was making the most money that I ever made. It requires a lot more investment than it does in Australia. For example like $400 a week and it can get you a whole house share with one other person and you can get a pool of canal in the gold coves versus that will get you painting here in London. Double that will get you the size of a shoe box. So that was something I had to really deal with plus you know just different investments that I was not used to. So even though I was making more I was standing more and I actually ended up getting to the point where I literally have like 75 pounds in my bank account at one point because I invested all of my savings to move across the other side of the world to chase this dream and be here and I thought that straight away I would be working with professional athletes and I'd get signed to like a professional team and it would all happen in that way and it did it. I got so down on myself so hard on myself and I was like do I go back home? I was downing. I then had to move my contract and my first lease ended so I had to move out to a new place by myself. It was more rent than I one of us used to but I was also hopeful and faithful that I would get more money, get more clients but I was definitely in scarcity and being in London really has healed a lot of my money believe. It's told me how to be more financially aware and track by numbers to like be smart at with that kind of stuff because it's all the things that I've enjoyed teaching in school that you then have to learn when you're doing especially like I was an emergency like that. So really kick me the ass however for me then it's allowing me to apply I had to apply for a job just to get by that first job was at Egonox Gym and then I shifted from there because my intuition at my point was just like okay it's time to leave so I left. Trust that and then I was like okay we got to another point where I needed to make more cash and I then had my intuition guide me to Silverhouse. Now this has been the best thing for me because it's allowed me to meet so many incredible people and from there I was able to build myself back up again. I am so grateful for those times because it taught me how to stay trusting trusting the signs, trusting the synchronicities, trusting myself that I can do this. I had several people in that time that I cared and loved. Tell me to go back home, just go back home, give up it's obviously not working for you, just go home. But I stay. Bringing stay because I know that the whole world needs to know about this work that I teach. I'm so grateful that I stay and pitch my events to Silverhouse and ever since then literally every week they've sold out it then allowed me to pitch for a bigger event which I'm now about to this weekend run life sixth event for that company and it's the sixth event that has sold out. I have then offered the back of that manifestive opportunities with elite international athletes. Massive corporate brands brands that I personally like shop from ever since I've been a kid and I've lived in the exact division that I set out to do and without having high school. So the last few weeks have been emotional for me because I think lately I've been caught in that okay I've got to keep going, I've got to keep going, I've got to keep going but I just had a moment of reflecting like holy, mulley, I have really done a lot in the last years and I don't know what the future holds. Even though I haven't worked with a professional team in terms of sport yet, I've worked with so many professional people and corporate teams. So in where I have manifested that goal? No, that the professionals for it will come when exactly the right timing is. However I just share this journey with you because I get asked a lot why I moved to London, why would I leave sunny Australia to move to London and this is why because this is where I'm meant to be. This is what my soul called me to do and I honestly feel so in alignment to that vision, to that goal, to what I'm here for and I'm so grateful that I've found that. So so grateful that I get to teach this work and it's so crazy to think that a few years ago I was watching Tony Robbins documentary on Netflix and hearing about the works of mindfulness coaches for absolute teams and going oh yeah, that's that's it, that's what I want to do and now I am doing that. So I share this with you because one, I want you to trust those science and secretities. It might feel crazy that you're seeing triple numbers everywhere or seeing weird things or getting some stuff in your head but if you reflect and if you ask yourself the deep meaning behind what these things are trying to tell you, you might realize that actually there is a message underneath it all. I also want to encourage you to ask whenever you're going through your goals what's the worst thing that could happen, right? Because for me like I said the worst thing that could happen is I go back home and I have a good story to tell. I did book a return flight you know, I didn't think I would stay but I did. This is exactly what I want to share with you. It's like choosing love over fear and the way that you trust your intuition is that the intuition is from your heart. It is calm, it is short in words, it doesn't go on spiraling. It will tell you short brief answers what your truth is. And you all know and if you don't know it's because you're saying I'd ignore it as a way to avoid that truth and if you're still like I don't know it, never tell you. Do some breath work. Get out in nature and eventually those answers will find you. So whatever point you are in your life whether you are about to take a leap of faith into a career or whether you are taking a leap of faith in terms of relationships or traveling the world or whatever. Whatever period of life you are at like now, I trust you found this episode in the exact timing that you needed to hear. No, that there is no wrong path for you and that every decision you make is just progression. It is another lesson, motion forward. If you don't make any decisions at all, you won't go anywhere. But even that isn't a decision itself. And like I said, if I didn't decide to leave my ex years ago when I did and I decided to stay, that would have manifested a whole other life for me which wasn't in alignment to everything that I truly desired. I believe that the key to happiness or contentment to peace, people ask me all the time how I am so happy. I think it is just truly living a life from your home and authentic to you and what life is you are. And if you don't know what that is, go out and explore.
go find that because it's totally out there. And if I know that if I can do this, if I have done this, then you 100% can too. (upbeat music)
