174 - The Sodder Fire, Christmas UFO Tracking & Santa’s Pagan Past

This episode blends humor, satire, and absurd conspiracy theories to create a festive yet chaotic narrative. It begins with wild claims about government surveillance, fridge screens displaying ads, and supernatural events like Santa being tracked by aliens. A serious yet bizarre story of a pilot experiencing a mental breakdown after taking mushrooms is shared, followed by a touching yet unsettling account of a woman with schizophrenia interpreting a fridge note as a message. The podcast also pokes fun at internet myths, such as Nicole Kidman dating Jimmy Fallon and the Taliban arresting Peaky Blinders. Other segments explore random facts—like the origin of yellow tennis balls due to David Atmer’s complaints—and humorous internet trends like "wall friction" or people sticking objects to walls. The show incorporates lighthearted commentary on holiday traditions, food, and tech, while maintaining a playful tone throughout. Despite the surreal content, the narrative remains grounded in shared laughter and self-deprecation. Sponsored by Rich, Rocket Money, and AG1, the episode wraps up with a mix of satire, personal anecdotes, and festive energy, celebrating the unpredictability of the internet and human curiosity. It serves as both entertainment and a commentary on how misinformation spreads in modern culture.

Guess what, Coca-Cola loves celebrating pagan holidays and they make you celebrate the same pagan holiday, Christmas. And buckle up, folks, because we just found out that the government's been tracking Santa or aliens. Who knows? And we're going to tell you the story about the solder family fire. It is the worst Christmas story you will have ever heard. This podcast is brought to you and powered by Sunday Cool. Watch this or listen. And I'm here and I'm a star. Yeah! That's pretty good. Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas! Do you know a fun fact about David Atmer? He is the reason. Atmer? Atmer? He is the reason tennis balls are yellow. The color they are. What? Yeah, because he was watching it in the 70s, he was watching it on TV, and he was complaining because they were kind of like, I think like a gray color or something, and he was complaining that the ball was too difficult to see while watching on TV. So he complained about it and you know, like let him know, like you guys should change it to like a brighter color and that's why it's like fluorescent yellow. Interesting. Yeah. Thank you, David. I wonder how many things he could see the ball. Yes. I wonder how many other things he complained about that led to nothing. He just. He got one though. Complaining all the time. He turned my ears. This is actually looks. David. He goes in a Chick-fil-A and he's like, you guys should make these tenders better. David, now all of your complaints are helpful. Actually. I think so. They're the best. So the strips. The chicken. I know. Sometimes you, some for a while, I don't know if it's still the case, they didn't all have the strips. Yeah. And then they had spicy strips for a minute and they took that away from us. Gosh. What a dream. Yanked it right out from under us. They got some cool Chick-fil-A's in Alpharetta and Georgia. Some of them have the chicken waffles now. You see that? Ooh. Chicken waffle sandwich. Dang. What? Dang. Where the bread is waffles. Dang. That's good. It's too way here. You tried it when you went to Winchapen? No. They didn't let us test any fun food. No, none of them did that. They're like, we're going to the test kitchen. We're like, oh, dope. We just got to wash them. It's just a white room. Can't try anything. People in lab coats. Yeah. They're like, here's all the fun things we've created and it's like, do we get to try any of it? That really is. Willy Wonka really ruined us all for that premise. We did the Ben and Jerry's tour when we were up in the Northeast and they're like, this is the ice cream. We're going with the new flavors and you're just like expecting like a boat that's floating on a river of chocolate and stuff and it is, yeah, it's literally like two scientists pushing up their glasses, going like, I don't think pistachios will work with caramel. You're like, oh, okay, ever since Violet turned Violet, is this less magical than I wanted it to be? Hey, Merry Christmas, everyone. Merry Christmas, everyone. Merry Christmas. Anthony, the star is here. Our guiding star. Is it Mario Kart? Mario Kart. We have Andrew from Lawrence of Arabia. We have Little Bo Peep. Yeah. Did you guys actually, where's the nutcracker that looks uncannily like Andrew? It just punched me in the head. It looks exactly like you. The girls and I were like, is any Andrew? You're throwing me over here. We'll put it over here. Oh, wow. It's got a bow and everything. I know. It's weird. I like the hat. That's it. You have binoculars like that? An antlers? Yeah. I do. Yeah. You look around like that. Yep. I'm a hijacker. You are a pilot. I'm a pilot. Give me this plane. Just kidding. Thank the geese. Do you see that one pilot trying to turn off the engines this week? No, that was, we talked about it a long time ago. No, this is new. This is something new. I promise you, it's not. It's where it is. No, no, he was tripping on mushrooms. No, he was, no, this was a previous pilot. This wasn't just a normal guy. This was a pilot that was a telling you a last passenger. I know. This is different. Look it up. He's a friend. Wait, why did he turn off the engine? He's going to court now. This was the guy that, that guy was trying to open up the doors. No. I don't remember anything. So why don't you tell me both stories? Well, you just heard it. An argument for him. Very. It's this, it was a pilot, off-duty pilot on Alaskan Airlines. And he took mushrooms apparently, like two days prior. And like, because he just lost a friend and he's like apparently that's what you do is you take the shrooms. Not usually folks. Don't do that. He didn't sleep for 40 hours and had a complete psychotic break and like busted into the cockpit trying to turn off the plane mid-flight. Oh my gosh. So they landed in Portland and booked him. Dude. Last week. Did you know what I saw? I was watching your face waiting to see. I saw a story. I did not get a chance to like double confirm. But it was about those frid, there was refrigerators with the screens on them. Yeah. Did you see about this? Yeah, it's wild. So refrigerators that have the screens on them and like their pitch was like you can make a little note about the, that you need eggs at the, at the market. And like this was like the pitch for having a screen, the touch screen on your fridge. Um, well now, shocking. They're doing ads on the screens in your fridge. No way. So one of the ads they ran was for this Apple, Apple TV show. Pluribus. Pluribus. And it said like, help me if I get this wrong. And it was like Claire, Carol, Carol, I'm sorry that happened to you or something like that. And it's like a very like, it's like very stylized like the show, but it looks just like a note. Well, there was a woman named Carol, who has schizophrenia, had been like over two years without an episode. She's going about her life in her house and her fridge seemingly left a note for her. So she got convinced that this was like somebody trying to send her a message and she had a whole episode. She ended up in the emergency room, per the story I saw, which I did not double and triple confirm. But I did that also last week. What that story happened last week is when I saw it get, oh, do I get angry for me reading the story? I'm telling you it's an old story. Okay. Sorry. My apology. Oh my God. It's like story. My news feed literally says that it was updated last week. Yeah. One time we were all hanging out. You guys met Tim's wife Mallory, right? She's the best. She's not like super engaged on the internet. Like I am at least. So one time we're all having this dinner and she, this was like a couple of months ago and she's like, oh my gosh, guys, did you see that Nicole Kidman went on a date with Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy didn't know he was on a date? I don't know if you guys remember, but that story came out like three years ago or whatever she was on the show and we all were like, she really she'd like set this up all night. Like I saw something so cool at dinner. We'll talk about it at dinner. We'll talk about it. It was so great. Well, I can't wait to tell you guys what I saw. And she tells us that we're all like, oh, yeah, we know what we know it was just guessing every next part. We saw that. Jimmy fell in that a family. He did. This was before. This was like before. And she was on the show and she kind of revealed Jimmy to date didn't know they were on a date. Wow. They were like just hanging out and Nicole Kidman thought she was on a date is before she got with Keith. But they're not together. I am. And Jimmy's reaction. Oh, no. No, that happened like three years ago. Nothing happened. Like last week. A couple of months ago. I was really ill. But yeah, I was like watching Jimmy's reaction to that whole thing. Yeah. I don't know. I was wife. We must feel about that because he was just like what? I know. I know. I know. I know. All right. Pop the brakes. Jimmy. Nicole Kidman scares me. I think it's a fan of the North men. Yeah. She's been doing a lot of scary move. Well, she's scary in the North men. Everything she's in is pretty much scary. Yeah. Yeah. The killing of a sacred deer. Very scary. Oh, my. I've never heard of that. But that sounds very scary. Please don't watch it. I'll ever watch it. It's a 24 in it. I think so. Yeah. It's got very killing. Oh, my gosh. It's big. If you want to just kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. First name. Punches. Punches. You're a terrible pilot. The worst pilot in history. Get off my plane. Um, are these snakes? Speaking of pilots. Oh, boy. You guys want to song? Yeah. Huh? She said, oh boy. It's going to, it's going to do this. And then we're going to go to the question. Well, you know what? Maybe the question's kind of happy today. Yeah. It is Christmas episode. What do you do? How about you be happy that we actually have a song about Christmas? Yeah. I love a Christmas and original ninjas Christmas song. It is original. We did write this melody and everything. And everything. And everything. Woo. You need a quick critique in me today. I'm sorry. I do have a dog. Is it a golden doodle? It is, yeah. Is his name Winnie? Her name, Winnie. Yeah, yeah. I didn't lie to you about everything, just this one big thing. That's so good. That was good. That was good. Speaking of good. Oh, I'm sorry, Lily. You're here about this pilot that went crazy on the plane. Oh, when did that happen? Literally last week. Just saying, dude. Yeah, he just tried to shut off the engines. Apparently he was going to like suit them. So like traumatic break. He just took him mushrooms, his friend died. Oh, wait, that's just like a story I heard a couple of months ago. No, I don't think so. I don't think so. Did you see this crazy? Did you see the woman who was on the plane? She was like, that guy's not real. Do you guys see that? No. No. What did that happen? Did you just-- Just on the phone I heard about it. Last week? That's what the vet just called to tell me about. It's crazy. That person is not real. Dude, somebody driving just like short-circuited, for sure. Have you guys seen wall friction? I just saw this yesterday. It's driving me nuts. Did you do it? Yeah, I can't do it. Oh, man. I don't know if it's real that. I don't think it's real that. Okay. But people, I mean, it's all over my algorithm now. People, they're calling it wall friction. Would they literally slide stuff on the walls and it sticks? Static? Yeah. I mean, I looked it up and part of it could be static. But they're doing like pencils and pens and like nail polish. They're doing like nails. No, wait, wait, wait. What? Listen, there's these kids and stuff. Philippines or something. It's like a classroom. And they're just sticking everything on the walls. And they literally put a full desk. If there was someone sitting on the desk. This can't be real. No. Is someone sitting on the desk? So you see people are doing like pencils and stuff. Yeah. We just slide it and it sticks. Hold on. I wonder what kind of wall it is. And these people were like grabbing stuff and like just literally sticking it to the walls. Huh? You know who started this rumor? Painters. They're like scratch your walls so we come over and paint. Sherman Williams is behind this picture. That's like it's embarrassing. Okay. Look at these. Look at this. How is that possible? Come on. That can't be real. I don't know, but they're literally sticking everything to the wall. And then they look. They just literally have a desk sideways on the wall. This is like an unhinged classroom like a science teacher like showed them how to do it with a sheet of paper. And they didn't find it cool. They just started like drilling stuff to the wall and acting and press to troll the teacher. Anyways. I can't figure it out. We got to try it in the office. Yeah. Because I think it's a different type of wall too. People were just saying semi-gloss paint on drywall. Interesting. In the Philippines. No, this is people are doing in the U.S. but in the Philippines they got some different there. They got that static static. This is wet. So just. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe that took to be lead paint. That's interesting. Anyways. That's fun. Wall friction. I got to figure it out. Just picking me up and shoving me against the wall. Lily. You got to come back to bed. Not now. Leave me alone. Just hear a scream in the middle of the night. He's stuck to the wall. Lily. You're not going to believe it. Good news and bad news. Completely asleep. Halfway at the wall. How did he do it? Just held by his underwear. It's just full on the wedgie past now. Are you guys fan of the piggy blinders? Love. Big time. Love the piggy blinders. Oh, the. Buy out of the piggy blinders. Well, they just got arrested by the Taliban. That's great marketing for their new. Who did? The piggy blinders. Let me see. Send it. What? Is it the piggy blinders is a real thing? Yeah. Of course they are. I said, no, it was a show. Based on the documentary. It was a documentary series. And then. Are they like a mafia type thing? I think so. It's hard. It's hard to beat mafia whenever you talk like that though. My brain is struggling to make sense of the sentence. Peaky blinders were arrested by the Taliban. There's just gaps. I'm trying to fill. Yep. Peaky blinders. Oh, my gosh. Are they like fans or something? Yeah. It's just these guys that dress up like the piggy blinders. They're real. And they were. They were arrested by the Taliban. Why? Why were they mad about it? Because their drip was dripping. I know, because they're probably jealous. For real. They look so cool. Tell us how you dress so fit. That is awesome. This video above it. What is this? What is that? Is this supposed to be Anthony? Oh, yeah. That's what. What is that? What is that? Oh, yeah. That's so great. That's what I'm like, dude. Hey, I'm so good. Can you get me better than this? This is wild to me to think. So the Taliban arrested these people. Yeah. The Taliban's not a great organization. You heard it here first. Come on. But like, I wonder if you live in that community and they do arrest someone who did need to be arrested. And you in that situation sort of have to go like, "Well, that one probably had to happen." Yeah. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. Like somebody's shop lifts right in front of you and they get arrested by a Taliban. And you're like, "Ah!" Okay, you can't. Yeah. That makes sense. I mean, yeah. Just with checks. Just with checks. You're not doing. Most of these are not right. That one is hard to fight about. I will say, I really do. The Taliban, they've done some terrible things. But. It was all my sand. You heard it. You heard it. You heard it. You heard it. They have done terrible things. I don't know. I really think. No, we watched this guy on YouTube, Mike, okay. Okay. He's awesome. Everybody start watching. He's this guy from England who just does travel vlogs. Okay. He's from Wales. Oh, Wales. I think. Oh. But he was in Afghanistan recently. And Taliban treated him. Fantastic. Mmm. Really nice. They helped them. They made sure that he was safe. And Walter Mitty. Ben Stiller gives them some like baked goods. Yeah. And they let him pass through. I would say if you're probably a woman, it probably wouldn't be the same. Correct. Treatment. Who's to say? Or maybe someone from a part of the world. Right. That's close to them. Yeah. Utah. Stuff like that just is so interesting to me though. Because you were always, we're also tempted to make everything so like all bad and all good. Yeah. And I'm always like intrigued. And when it's like, but there's going to be moments where you got to go like, nobody's all bad and all good. I hit you. Right. No. Not that one. No, that was a good counterpoint. He's a Jewish. It's true. This is actually the incorrect star for me. We do a different one. Speaking of dressing up, I always love scrolling, googling Halloween mug shots. Because you imagine just the parties that happen on Halloween and people get crazy. Oh, yeah, yeah. It's the funniest thing because there's just people in mid-makeup and they look like just this guy. Just dressed as a cat. It's pretty good. And also some people like that, like, like, like they dressed as zombies. I'm like, this is the worst mug shot because it looks like you actually gotten a fight. That's so funny. - It's so funny. - Who's the guy gave me? (laughing) - There's a guy on the set of like Good Morning America or something on 9/11. Have you seen this? - No. - He's in a complete like, I think it's a stay puff marshmallow man costume. And he's in the background of like shots of like the morning show that day. And they were just like, since people have like identified him and been like, "Can you imagine?" Like he has to process that day in that environment, in that costume. Like, he just made a choice that morning. Now he's stuck. - He's stuck. - I had the worst day today. (laughing) Come on, bud. - Like what did that guy try to be like, "Guys, we gotta get out of here. "Everybody follow me." And you're like, "Is that the stay puff marshmallow?" - Am I already dead? - So what would you say were some fears growing up that would be classified as completely irrational? - I've heard this like a comedian says this, but quicksand. - Yep, let's stick with that one. - Yeah. - What? (laughing) - That's it. - Really? - Not a rational fear anymore. - What do you mean? - There was a hiker in Arches National Park that literally was being swallowed by quicksand. And they had to do a rescue operation, get 'em out. Okay, where's that park at? - Utah. - Utah, oh my goodness, dude. - Just stick with a quicksand? - Yeah, you could not get out. - Oh my gosh, dude. - It was just swallowing 'em. - It truly is like the worst possible scenario. - Oh my gosh. - Yeah, it's so scary. - Which National Park is this? - Arches, yeah. - Doing a lot of sand there? - Yeah, I'd say so. It's a desert. - The thing that freaks me out about it is it's not that you're just drowning in it. Like you're gonna lose oxygen, but it's the fact that once you like take a breath, you exhale, it compresses your stomach more. - Yeah, your breath's become more and more shallow. - That is the most horrifying thing I've heard in my life. You just are articulating that. - Also just swallowing that. Like that filling your mouth and then your throat. Like that with the thick sludge. - I need to go to therapy after this. - By the time your nose is the only thing out, it's just like, dude. - Okay, and that's- - You wouldn't even know? He did not, no. - He actually died in the quicksick. - No, he didn't. - Oh, he did not die. - Yeah. - Oh my gosh. - Did he die? - He did not die. - And he talked to us about- - He did. - No. - He needs to do a TED talk on how to survive quicksick. - I know. - He'll be all know it. - Yeah, they had to fly a drone to find him 'cause I apparently was like screaming out for help. - Oh, it's slow. - And it was like freezing temperatures and he's just stuck. He's just going in. - Yeah, you think it's probably like a slow, but within 30 minutes you're under. It's probably one of those things. - It could be hours. - But you're slowly, like millimeter by millimeter sinking down. That's so skit, like the doom of it all. - Yeah. - Princess bride stuff, man. - When was he stuck? - Yeah. - Where his feet stuck and he couldn't even get those out. - Yeah, he couldn't get his feet out. - He dropped his foot. - 'Cause every time he moved his foot, it'd sink in deeper. - Oh my gosh. And he dropped his phone in the sand? - That's why he went in. - Maybe it's like- - Oh. - You made that up. (laughing) - Maybe it's like 'cause the 90s are coming back. Some of these threats are coming back. - Yeah. - Maybe the Bermuda triangle makes a appearance again, you know? - I hope so. (laughing) - What's the next Y2K, you think? - Another princess is tragically taken away from us. (laughing) - Beanie babies come back. - I'll be down for that. - Do you get beanie babies? - Anna Mcdonalds. Can you tell me what was the coolest thing? - That was awesome. - You would legit get like big ones. - That was the first like NFT. - Really it was. - Did you, the Mcdonalds did the Grinch thing? Did you guys see this? - No. - They did like a Grinch happy meal. It came with Grinch stocks. - Oh, fun. - Yeah, I was like, I showed it to Rage. I'm giving up in these days. (laughing) I showed it to Rage. I was like, I'm glad they're like making another run at this to do cool stuff in these toys. 'Cause I feel like it's been-- - Bring a little joy back into the world. - It's been years. - Yeah. - I was like, oh, you gotta go and get the Mcdonalds thing. - Yeah, we went the other month with our girls and we got them happy meals. And they were like, just like K-pop toys. - Mm-hmm. - I didn't even know who they were. In Lilies, or Aida's like, this is a really cute girl. And it was a little K-pop boy. (laughing) I'm like, it's actually a boy. It's like, no, it's a girl. - It became too confusing. I threw them away. (laughing) - Wasn't it the Damon Hunter or whatever that show is? - No, it wasn't even that. - It was singers, yeah. - Just a random K-pop boys. - Hey, they're big deal now. - They are. - They are. - They have been. - I think Damon Hunters is the biggest movie ever on Netflix, which is crazy. - Who did Netflix just buy? - No one yet, which is crazy. When this comes out, it's probably sold. But they were trying, they put in a bid for WB. - Okay. - And then Paramount upped the bid. - Yeah, 'cause they originally dropped out and they came back in, right? - Yeah, but then Trump's son-in-law, what's his name? - Jared. - Yeah, something. Something. He's like with some Saudi company, like representing a Saudi company trying to buy WB. - Whoa. - And their bid was like over, it was like a hundred something billion dollars. - That'd be a wacky. I mean, that'd be a big buy. I mean, like long-gevity-wise, you're making a lot of money. - I mean, that frog in the top hat is gonna cost you a pretty good. - Hello, my baby. Hello, my darling. - WB, WB. - That'd be a hundred billion dollars. - How does that even work with their like, religious convictions and stuff? - I don't think they. - As long as it's making money. - Yeah. - Because they're like, so I think it's in United Emirates or maybe in Dubai. They're opening up a casino, which gambling is illegal in Muslim countries. It's a casino that will serve alcohol. They said how it's gonna be so impactful for the region, for jobs. But they're also saying legally, they're not allowed to hire local people. So it can only be foreign people outside of Muslim countries that can work at this casino. So it's not helping the jobs at all. - No. - Interesting. - Huh, they gotta figure it out though. - Yeah, I mean, they always do. They always do. - Pay me a time a giant casino has not made a community better. - I can't. - They one time. (laughs) - I can't. - It just brings families together, you know? - Vegas, bringing families together. - The family city. - Yeah. - It's always fun though. - It's always fun. - Hey gambling. - I went to a casino one time and someone gave me like 50 bucks and they're like, "Hey, have fun." And I spent it and I was like, "I feel terrible." - Yeah. - Where did the money go? I'm like, I would have rather gone to the buffet. (laughs) - Yeah. - Like that would have been so much more fun. (laughs) - That was at least you tummy's full. - Yeah. - No gambling, yeah, it may be terrible. - I can see how it's addicting though. 'Cause you're like, "I'm 50 bucks." And you're like, "Ah." - Yeah. - I get it this time. - Yeah, for sure. - You put me in front of a ski ball. - I'm there all day. - Yeah. - So that's a problem for me. I'm like, "I gotta get that 10,000." But you're trying to, 'cause you know, gamble on ski balls. You're saying like, "I'll spend more money." I'm like, "I gotta do more." 'Cause we were at like, we're skating ring for a birthday party a couple of weeks ago and they had this big old arcade and I was just like, everyone's walking around and we're doing the vending machines and stuff like that. I'm like, "I'm not vending machines, the game machines and claw machines and all that." And I'm just like, I had like five bucks of coins. I'm like, "I need more." (laughs) So I went back there and I was cool to add and I gave the girls bags of coins and stuff but I also was like the one like, you really messed it up the whole day. I was like, "This is my gambling addiction." - Ski ball. - The sports betting ones, they keep getting like, crazy or crazy or the intro deals. I don't know if you guys have noticed this, but it'll be like, "Hey, first time you come on." It's like, "We'll give you like 50 free bucks to gamble with." And now like, I was watching football last weekend. They're like, "We'll give you a thousand dollars." Like a free gambling money, like it's crazy. They're literally like, "No, how addictive this is." And that you are going to lose everything if you start. So they're giving so much away to start. - It's wild, man. It's gonna be rampant. - All the like contingent bets you can make too. - Yeah. - My brother's hooked on it. I know he just turned $7 into 300, watching the soccer game. I was like, "No, it's amazing." - Yeah. What is it, Kalshi or whatever? Where you can bet on like, anything. - Maybe. - Oh yeah. - I think it's called Kalshi. 'Cause the woman that started that just became, I think the youngest billionaire. Or the female billionaire or something. And you can bet on like, anything on there. - We should start it. We should, one of our fans should start a gambling thing for Nige's butterfly. - Yeah. - What does he say? Welcome to the show, 15 and 15 minutes, over and under. - Nice. - He feel like just. - This episode, will they defend the Taliban more or less? (Kalshi laughs) Then he's like, "I am the son." - Speaking of defending a Taliban. - I did watch, or I'm like halfway through the interview with Nick Fuentes and Pierce Morgan. - Oh, okay. - Oh my gosh. - It's rough. - It's rough on both sides, truthfully. - Pierce Morgan. - I think anyone wins on Pierce Morgan. - No, well, Nick Fuentes, he is the best in the biz for rage baiting. - You okay. - Like he gets people all hyped and he's like, "Why are you yelling?" - Right. - You know, like gaslighting. - Yeah, but listen to this one clip. This actually was really, really funny. Hold on. Do you know about him, Anthony? - I've heard this name before. I'm trying to place him in my head. - He's awful. - You're probably recognizing when you hear this. - Hold on, let me turn this. Oh, okay. Why did you say I look like that Pigeon Lady from the movie Home Alone? Especially like, yeah, hang it. He says, why do you, he said, why did you say that I look like the Pigeon Lady from Home Alone too? And he's like, 'cause you do. I mean, have you seen the side by side, Pige? Yeah, he does, yeah. But yeah, I mean. Nick Fuentes is off. At one point, Nick Fuentes was like defending Hitler on the straight. And he's just like, oh no. And Pigeon's Morgan is like, he would pull up clips of Nick Fuentes where Nick's like, I'm racist. And Pigeon's Morgan's like, so are you racist? And he's like, yeah, he said, everyone's a little racist. And he's like, come on, start off better. Nick. Anyways, all the things that I see from Pigeon are not, not great. Yeah, Pigeon's kind of a bully. Just a whole vibe of the show. I'm like, who's the target audience? Yeah, 'cause it's not real news. It's literally, it's just like the view for older white men, right? I mean, like just like the main point. That's a great way to put it. Yeah, it just feels like you, if you just think exactly like Pierce Morgan, I guess. Like that's the, you, I mean, it's entertaining, obviously. That's the, yeah, it got some going. Didn't he start? Isn't he like a reality show? I think so, yeah. Oh, there's something like that. Um, by the way, I did some research and I did send this in the chat. And it's a Mr. Peanut costume. That's even worse. This fella is wearing directly behind the Elroger. This shot is live 10 minutes before the first play. That's amazing. I think we talked about it on the pod before. But I don't know if you know about Anthony that there's a, there's a, um, bowling alley in New York, uh, that has a plaque for people who win have perfect games and stuff like that. And there's one guy that has his name up there. And it's September 11th, 2001. And it's like, get you imagine just like the fact of like trying to go home and tell your family and like kids and everything, like, your dad did it. Bowed about like a perfect, no one cares. Good skit though. Like trying to work it in. Oh, it's awful. It's so funny to knock and stuff down. I had a pretty busy morning. Like, will you leave it? No one wants to hear about it. It's a perfect 300. It was a perfect game. That is you do it, but my name of the wall. I could have been a pilot. That was easy. You like, you put those pilots beyond on a, on a bowling alley. There's no way they could have done that. Okay, you're going way too far. More people were bowling. They took down two buildings. That took about nine pins. Is it nine? It's dead. 10. Oh, I feel like I always get to share like Russo family history with you guys. What I'm here that I never talk about until I'm in this chair. I have an uncle who was not great. And he like stole a bunch of money from the whole family. Oh, no. He's a mess. Bring him out. Here we are. Uncle Russo. It's also in a star. Gosh, dude. No, no, man. So you know we're family. But he was a, he, my dad's side is off from Philadelphia. And he loved a bowl. Like, that was his thing. He was like a bowler. Uncle Tom. And he bowled a $2.99 and was very proud. And walked into like this bar. They all went to it to be like, guys, bowl the $2.99. And the entire ball, the, the bar ended up putting one bowling pin up to say, Tom couldn't knock this. And that's why he didn't bowl a 300. And they would just set it on the bar and knock it over and go, Tom, it's not so hard. I don't know why you couldn't do it. That's one of the 99 is so like there's such a fine line. Yeah, bragging rights between those two. It's essentially you did nothing. Yeah, versus you did something worth talking about. Yeah, like nobody wants to hear about your $2.99. No, I think you're going to $2.99. Is that time already? We all love Mr. Beast, don't we? I couldn't say it more than enough nice things about him. Mr. Beast has done so much good. Yeah, he really has done good stuff. Why have people are seeing now because he has like a philanthropy channel that's different than his obnoxious one. Yeah, and he just actually partnered up with someone, the Rockefellers. Oh my gosh. What did he do with the Rockefellers? He teamed up with the Rockefeller Foundation. Interesting. Interesting to impact the youth. With propaganda. How? They're coming out with new Mr. Beast textbooks for all schools. They're not. We're rewriting history, baby. We're doing it again. Run it back. Burn the libraries. No, um, it's just like philanthropy. Philanthropy? Philanthropy? No. I think you're trying to say photography. Oh, that's it. How do you say it? Philanthropy. Philanthropy. Nope, close. Philanthropy. Anemone. I say it again. Watch my lips. Philanthropy. Philanthropy. Yeah. Philanthropy. Yes. Good job. Good job. They're doing like philamp. Philamp. Doing my lame, my lame stuff. But yeah, I just thought it. Hey, how do you turn into more of a bad guy? Join the Rockefellers. Yeah, true. Or he's going to change him. What if he changes him? Oh, Mr. Beast. Christmas movie style. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to take out all the corruption that the Rockefellers have caused. But first, I got to befriend them. Yeah. Just thinking from the inside out. So, so what is it going to look like? I don't know. There's no info on it at all. No, but we got Mr. Beast. He is in the food business. We know that. Yes. Rockefellers were definitely involved in the food business. What were they doing with food? I don't remember. Poisoning us. Oh, only that. Yeah. I don't know. That's interesting. I don't know like because he's obviously got like a lot of connections with the climate people. And like, well, all this tree stuff and everything like that. It's weird. Medically, all these things. He's trying to touch base. And he just came out recently because a lot of people are like dog on on him because he's not reaching a certain amount of views. Like he did last year. Like he had so many videos. Yeah, I saw that. He had 200 million or something like that. And he had like one that hit this year. And he's like, I'm going to go harder next year. Promise you. I'm going to start grinded more than ever before. And it's like, how many ideas can you possibly have? He has to have a team. Definitely, but it's like a team, but yeah, but like, but what else can he keep? How can he keep popping it? Yeah. I mean, you you went into the great pyramid of Egypt. I know. You've set people on fire. Yeah. I mean, like, what are you doing? You've done a squid game. I don't, I don't, yeah. I mean, I think you tried his candy. I have not that great. Not a fan. Not a great. Did you see? Oh my gosh, who was it? He had someone on. He was a key. Was he a key? Oh, yeah. Yeah, and Keith, he's like, that's all right. And Mr. B, he was really mad about it. Live it, dude. He's like, well, no, try it again. Oh, try it again. Yeah. And he's like, okay. He's like seven out of 10. He's like, okay. Seven out of 10, huh? It's like, oh, you're killing me. Super super uncomfortable. Why would you do that, though? Why would you like out him on TV in front of him? Oh, he's an honest TV or a food review. Oh, he's the guy. The food review again. So he flew him in and it's like, hey, you want to review my chocolate? And he's like, yeah, but I'm going to be honest. He said, okay, yeah, trust that. And so there's probably something in Mr. B's like, obviously you're not going to try to embarrass me in front of him. It's like, you know, yeah, there's nothing to lose, dude. I know. That just reinforces that he's trustworthy. Yeah. Oh, yeah, heck yeah. You see that one time? I'm like, I messed up chocolate this particular way. It was just like, not good. Just average? I mean, like, I would say below average. Really? It's, yeah, it's not as good as like even like secondary chocolate. We had, we got one for the, for the family and kind of broke it up. And there was more. And I was like, you guys want another piece? And the kids are like, no. Because there's almost something about the taste, almost fake. Do you have broccoli? Yeah. Do you have any broccoli? Love to have that. A brussel sprout. And I think for us, the juxtaposition was the tray hand stuff. I know. We're obsessed. It's good. Oh, thinking good. Dude, you know, we act the ball. Do I ride? I didn't realize it was like a limited thing. Jane and I went to Target and we got one of the limited boxes with the Wheel of Doom in it. Oh, cool. And I didn't even know. That's sick. I know. That'll be a good stocking stuff for you. Dude, I opened it already. I'd have had one of these. They're sold out. That I didn't like. Dude, what? All of, and he's like, it's across the board. Mr. Beast, I'm not here on behalf of him. I just legit like the joyride is so every, every new variation. Would you say you give it one star? But it's a big one. The little spiky ones, the little balls that do those ones are so good. The cherry rope is my favorite. I haven't tried that one, too. This guy, this guy is probably gonna spread the power by joyride. Please. That would be cool. That would be amazing. It would be a problem if we got like a food sponsor. I know. Like, I'd eat all day long. Oh, dude. Have you guys not like heard from Trayander anything? I feel like he would be into your vibe. May be a Christian guy. He is. Yeah, it's about that a lot. A recent believer. Yeah, Hayley converted him. Hayley, Hayley, with my love. But Mr. Beast, try that. Not good. Step it up. Never tried it. Change your mind, Mr. Beast. Come on to the spot. Looking for somebody to put on a contest to win a Tesla. He's your guy. Also, Prime, if we're on this whole influencer product, - Who it? - Prime is not good either. - Not good. - It's overly sweet. - It is. - It had it couple times, it's, yeah, it's overly sweet. Like it's one of those-- - No, not good. - Is it fake sugar or real sugar? - Probably fake, I don't know. - Yeah, 'cause it's propiny white and it's products. - Whoa, language. On the Christmas episode in the last, what? - Believe it. (laughing) - You should believe that part. - I never did. (laughing) - Yeah, he showed me the clip for the last episode. I did not. - Is it good? - Really funny. - Yeah. - Oh. - No, Prime's no good. I'm a big, I, one of those things, I thought we were doing gatorade and powerade for forever. I thought that conversation was over, and then I blinked and I was at a gas station going like, whoa, this is not the same as it was. - Yeah. - Body armor, big fan. If we're giving out unpaid for belongs for products, I like body armor. - Yeah, the breastfeeding community loves body armor. - It's got coconut water in it. - That's where I got my info. That's where I get all my info and snacks. (laughing) - It looks good, but let me check with the community. (laughing) - Well, it is Christmas. - Yes, it is. Can you feel it in the air? - And I got some Christmas conspiracies for you guys. - They're probably all very jolly, right? - I'm uplifting in cheerfruits. - Christmas bees? - Sure. - Okay, cool. - If you consider Wicken, jolly and holly. - Ooh. - Okay, all right. - Paganism. - Not necessarily. - And how we were transformed to believe that Christmas now is what Christmas has always been. - The Christmas past. - Right after the test, I don't go anywhere. (laughing) - Hey y'all, it's Ray Demsie. Your merch should appear on the advisor. Listen, it's the end of the year, gift season. That some of y'all acting like by the present is rocket science. On loose flash, some may cool, as you want to stop shot. You want customizable mugs? Oh, we got it. You want shirts? That's literally what we do. Hats, venies, custom sticker packs. Yes ma'am, yes sir, yes whatever. And if you're too indecisive to make custom stuff in our slang store. We got gear there that'll make you feel cooler than a flamingo on a spring bread. Hear me out, you complain all the time about you not being able to find a gift for your loved ones or for your team. There's a lot like my pit bull playing the piano. I don't want to hear. Good or Sunday, cool. Get the goods, make the people happy. On set, see, treat it like Christmas magic. Might as well have one weird uncle that smells like big turkey and regret. Sunday, cool. And if you're ifs, dud and dud, darlin'. Is that good? Great. - So I have some closure. I looked up the pilot stuff. What was released last week was the on video and like recordings and stuff. And like the dash camp footage. So I apologize. - Am I gonna mess everything up a old story? - Hey, it's okay. We gotta talk about it. - As long as you're like here. - Okay, you're fine. - I'll keep it here. - It's just like falling off. - But actually, it's just sort of red. - I was right. What were your intentions by looking it up? - Because I wanted to prove that I was wrong. Like if I'm wrong, I want to be wrong about it. - Or were you trying to prove that you're right? - No, I had to confirm, 'cause I had saved. I had to confirm. - We'll let them decide. - I'm sorry, everyone. - I'm talking about-- - Don't. - There's just a bunch of people saying-- (laughing) - Hey, dad! - I'm disappointed to you again, son. - It walks out. - No! - Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. - I'm sorry. - I'm trying to went to 50 states and 50 days and save it. - How good was that? - That was one of the best. - I was like, it got us through summer, dude. - Hooked on that. - Talking to your mic. - Yeah, we're on a podcast. (laughing) - I had a punch down there. - We're on. - We're live. - I will say, when you turn your head to talk to her, you disappear. - Oh, okay. - Yeah, Ryan Trains won my fear YouTubers. - He's the best. - What's he do? - Just a bunch of fun stuff. - Like, hope core and his editing is so funny. - Would you? - Yeah, travel vlog. He'll go like every, he went to every Disney resort. He did 50 Airbnb's, he did everything. - He went on your cruise ship. Did you watch that video? - Not yet, we will. We're gonna, this whole weekend, we're going to just binge a bunch of stuff. 'Cause it's such a huge ship. I'm like, we have to know where we're going. - I agree. - Oh, wait, what ship are you going on? - YouTube A of the Seas. (laughing) - Ryan. - You speak of a real dream of the Seas. - Yeah. - This did happen last week. Did you see the video of the guy who died on royal Caribbean? - Do I want? - Dude, okay, so here's the story. - No. - So a family gets on to the ship and they don't have his room ready, their whole room. And so they send him down with like some complimentary stuff and they said, "Hey, you know, go chill in this like bar area, you know, restaurant." And the guy sits there and they sit there for a couple hours and the wife go checks, they're still not ready. So they chill out there for a little bit. The guy drinks 33 alcoholic drinks. - Are you serious? - In that amount of time. And then he starts heading up to a state room, which isn't ready yet, and starts losing his mind. Start screaming, yelling at people. And there's security, there's footage online of them in the hallway, it's a big guy. And he's like pushing people, the people that work there, the crew members, all this stuff. They finally subdue him, they get him on the ground. You could see them tying sheets around his ankles and his arms and stuff like that. And the dude dies. But they injected him with a thing to calm him down. - Oh no. - Yeah, I didn't hear that. - Yeah, they injected him with whatever to subdue someone. - What? - So he dies, literally the causes was obesity, some type of poisoning, and then a fixation. So it's like there being, there's like FBI's involved in it and everything. - And obesity in there to be mean. - I know, that's just like, I mean, it's crazy. - Why are we blaming him for that one? - I fell off a bridge. He was really fat, but he's a fool. - Oh my gosh. - How'd he die? Well, he was fat. - But he was shot with a gun. - But he was shot with a gun right intruder. - He was really balled. - Why is it, why is it in my mid-picture? - It's really bad at math, and he was shot. - Oh, that's awful though. - It's terrifying, like. - Somebody went on Disney Cruise, right? - Oh, the girl? - Yeah, the girl died on Disney Cruise. - Yeah, what? - I didn't get the whole story. I saw like her parents talking about it, but it's like she was found under her bed in one of the rooms. - Ooh, Disney Cruise. - Oh no, they're in it, Disney. I saw you guys talked about it. - They're speculating that was a homicide. - Right, well. - From her brother. - That's what I, this was-- - Oh boy. - You know, he might end up with that. He might be innocent. We need due process of law. - A true crime podcast with Minnie. Mickey was in so funny. - Dude, Mickey's voice investigating Disney murders would be so good. - Pluto, smell it out. - I know, something didn't smell right. - I love cruises and I wanna go on. I do wanna do Disney Cruise on the new one that has the haunted mansion bar in restaurants. - Ooh, that'd be cool. - I saw that. - So cool, right? - I saw that. - Yeah, I heard their cruises are pretty dope. - Yeah. - Did you hear it? So you know that this is last week I think this happened. That girl fell off their cruise and her dad jumped in. - Oh yeah, yeah. - Last week. - Yeah. - Last week. (laughs) - You heard about that cruise going from New York to Europe, hit a iceberg. - Last week. - No way. - Yeah. - Dang. - It's a leading on. - I bring up one story. - No, but they're saying, 'cause people were blaming the dad for this little girl, but apparently she climbed up on the banister, fell over. He didn't even take a breath. - No, he didn't. - Jumped over, boating, jumped over, he broke his back. (gasps) But he still was able to hold her up for 15 minutes. - Damn. - Lord. - What? - Broke his back. - What a hero. - Yeah, I'm training my girls this week. I'm gonna have them just get on the banister on our front porch and just climb up here and then just shock him or something. - Just spray bottle. - TGS spray bottle. (laughs) - Down. - Get down. - Yeah, cruising's are so trippy. Like we did one where, I forget where we were, but you look out at night from the neck. - So scary. - Endless darkness in every direction and you just see like a little wave lapping kind of off the thing. - I was, if you fall in, no one's gonna know. - Game on. - No, no, no. - Also shark-infested walking. - Oh yeah, dude. - My first time ever. - Our room was like on one of the lower levels so we were like very close, like the waves were kind of like lapping our window and like that. But the whole time, I mean, I would have these crises in my head just like thinking about how at risk we were. Literally any small thing can happen. - Even just looking at them. - I know. - You're like, that's too big. That boat is too big to be in the water. It's not, how's it float? - How does it? - How's it float? - Once again, spray buoyancy to me. (laughs) I think this is made up. - Oh yeah, I hope you have fun on the cruise. - I can't wait to put you guys on that. (laughs) - It could be your last. - You know they have a morgue on there, but I hope it's a good time is what I hope. - What a way to go though. - I didn't know that. - Yeah, I can't shake the pot. I told them all, but the fact that each level has a lock to the next level so that they can evacuate the ships in sequence. - Yeah. - So if you're on the bottom floor, you're like, Literally last to survive an event. It's like it's enough for me to not ever want to do it It is the trippiest juxtaposition because we did a Disney cruise and I mean full disclosure was so fun But it's like who's that I have a good time First thing you do is like all right in the event of an emergency We're all fighting for our lives. This is how you get to the evacuation boats There's exactly enough life jackets. This is how you survive all right guys Let's go back out to the pool. What are we are we supposed to have fun or are we gonna die? That's your first day on a cruise. That's what they do for you. It's so funny. Can't wait. Uh speaking to can't wait Did you know that it's a question go to question go to question go to a lily with a question to freshen your mind I'd love okay I thought this was a silly one. It should be Christmas related. It's not however. We could make it Christmas related. Yeah Would you rather your spouse shrink down to one foot like an elf? And you had to carry them around in a tote bag forever Baby, or you shrink down to one foot and your spouse has to carry you around as Elf in a tote bag I'm actually stuck here. Oh, that's a good one. I'm trying to think of the pros and cons I think I would want to be small. Yeah, I would love it if I could carry you I was gonna say the same thing in rage would know immediately. She loves little teeny tiny things She's a sucker She just brought home like a little t-set that's this big and she just was like, I don't know what's small and I loved it So this is an easy answer for me. I would be shrunk down and rage would love me far more I think that's in my original house our wives would love us more if we were just If we were just an accessory Imagine being in your bed though as a one-foot. How warm would you be? Madam out of food that would fill you up. I know So one cheese it for a week Thanks mom. I mean wife Jay's ever watch honey. I shrunk the kids. Oh, yeah, it's so good These have that part of Disney where they would have the grass that was like did you ever go when they had that no Like a walk around like play area and the grass was like, you know eight feet tall, and it was like a yard That's so fun. You were shrunk down. It'd be cool. The practical effects from that movie were so cool And because they had to build everything like like the giant I'm trying to think of like what creature what bugs they had and stuff that like came in well like the big scorpions The grass all that stuff was so cool. Rick Moran has made all of it Yeah, and you know, yeah, if I bet you and do you know why he quit Hollywood to literally go race his kid? I saw this story so it didn't his wife pass away. I think so. He says so to racist. Yeah Geez, I know That's why he quit Hollywood to try to try to try to stop, you know, he did everything good. Yeah Well not enough Andrew who does what that beat? What would you do Andrew? Yeah, I didn't hear you. Oh, yeah I think I'd want to be small just Think about surfing you never have to wait for a good day. Yeah, he just literally go. Oh, yeah But then if there was actually serve to be terrifying. Yeah, you could have really felt the people in the back On some hunting, too. Yeah, you'd never drag the deer out. Ooh, yeah, true, but you could hunt like ants Yes, you know what I mean? I'm so cool. I think in all in like typical relationships It should definitely be the dude that gets drunk because I feel like the dude is gonna forget the the spouse You know what I mean? Yeah, I'm gonna be like oh shoot. I forgot my tiny wife But what we're not thinking about though is big birds that would be terrifying. Yeah, wait That's a new fear large birds or big bird from Both but I'm talking about like owls and eagles and stuff. Yeah, just scooping you up. Yeah, I'd get mad at Kelsey Just leaving me outside. I got a fluid way. I could have died out there I would make tiny doors like you would have like a lot of self-efficient Yeah, for sure. Yeah, he could hold he could live in a cupboard You could make a little apartment for him in there just riding around on the room, but I love that you're getting excited She's got plans. Yeah, make a little bed in a matchbox. Oh, you can literally be a doll that the girls play with My girls want a docks and so bad and I'm like I that a tiny daddy was like that would be exactly what they want Also, that's all the clothes you can make for Josh so quickly. I know so fast did your fear of owls though Elevated. Yeah, every time It's like one foot is often like smaller than even a new baby Yeah, Frank would be godzilla to you. I know you could ride him. That would be like a little saddle That'd be a huge plus. All right, who does with that be good question? Oh Merry Christmas y'all it's Andrew's time here. We are gonna make a rhyme. He's got a real force gonna show us now I can't believe it. Poop poopow. Oh Otherwise started You know sometimes it's just not your time to die you guys says nothing to do with Christmas But it won't make you throw up Andy. Okay. All right, let's wait the quick stand almost made me throw up thinking about it going to my mouth I got it. I got it. I got it. I got it. All right. All right ready. Three two one Whoa Like I got a haircut whoa That's crazy What literally saw like 30 seconds after what happened was I was like gonna say you guys are already watching I'm like, I don't have it and then I remembered that he's sent it a half hour ago Scary War has to be terrifying war is I know a lot of people But I think honestly it's I know we're gonna lose followers over this. I think people need this take people need to just start Owning up to the fact that war is terrifying. I think it's I think it's high time. We said I said I like that because I was gonna be like war is terrifying So is the story War is terrifying. That was not jury's not out on that one scared of it You know what Josh was watching the background one time and I was kitchen little bits of it and ultimately I'm going oh my gosh Was isn't that movie it's all quiet on the Western front or something like that. Oh, yeah, I haven't seen that So is that the one that's all shot in one like like supposedly and want to know that 1917. That's awesome So good just not a big more movie guy, but I need to try because it's those ones are love warm and apparently so good Love them. You think of the little little people that we were talking about earlier Did you guys remember Indian in the cupboard? Oh, yeah, yeah, I got to show the girls that movie do you see that? No, but I know what you're talking about. Oh, it's so good. Yeah, yeah, I was I was thinking about that when it came up earlier I don't really remember the plot. It was in a toy that came to life Yeah, just a little action figure. Yeah, Native American in the cowboy and it was just a magic cupboard. Yeah, so cool I don't know. It was a magic cupboard or something So magic cover home. Do you guys remember when Tyra Banks played Barbie and she came to life? Yeah, life size She was like Sean far. Don't be shy. Be a star. I remember that movie. Okay I lived on Disney Channel original movies. That was like I didn't know it's I lived on those You do a ranking of those sometimes soon. Oh what the Disney Channel movies are yeah, I have a lot of homework Because I've not even seen either of those movies you guys talked about it and watch honey. I sure think it's if I were to if I were to I'm trying to think how to like word this, but there's a Disney Channel original movie called don't look under the bed Yes, that I feel like is so slept on as like it was so scary It was like an acid trip of a low budget movie made for kids and it is a it is just nightmare fuel They're going into like different realms different realms of what's living under your bed and holy cow yeah, it was like Whoa, what a swing on this one. It's real demonic feeling. Oh my gosh. They'd be like that's coming out this week next week Frankie Munez drives a goat car What is the brainstorm room look like for you guys right now? Yeah next episode we got to do a top 10 movies of the year Oh, yeah, dang. We're like gonna be in trouble. We've not watched anything The same scenario last year you guys came out with your list. Yeah speaking of worst terrifying. Oh, I remember war is terrifying Especially world war one. Oh, yeah Did you guys know in 1914 Both sides the British and the Germans decided to have one day of no shooting On Christmas day. Oh, yeah, that's sweet. I didn't know that. It's pretty cool though Is people theorized that they were testing whether soldiers could be conditioned to break hostility And they did in fact Both sides on Christmas day. They're so friendly to each other playing soccer matches exchanging gifts Really that all the generals and stuff like We can't keep this going and so they broke it super quick and the next day killing each other Whoa, but they realize these guys are just like oh, you're a human. Yeah, but they instantly everyone up in like up in the ups Yeah, generals and stuff they're like We have a war to fight. We can't just be nice to each other. Yeah, interesting They literally probably could have settled the whole thing in there. I know it's like or you go the opposite direction Right and stop this right that's crazy and that crazy. So 1914 Christmas day Wow stop fighting and they were buddies So they literally were like close enough like they weren't just they were lit There's pictures of them in the trenches together exchanging gifts having tea together Bro, how do you do that soccer together? How do you switch your brain like that? Because I think they were just so tired of fighting Yeah, cuz it's just so bloody so terrible if you watch 1917 you'll get a good picture You really okay, it's such a good movie, dude. It was truthfully awful Wow dead bodies everywhere to the smell the mud and like trench foot trench foot. Yeah, but yeah, they they They're friends that feels like a movie right there. I know you set up the logistics of a gift exchange in the middle of all that is where I bet they were just giving each other like cigarettes and They did like a white elephant exchange My friends head Buddy though, right You can steal the next round if you want You don't have to walk out with it Man, I'm excited for Santa I am - I'm thrilled. I wonder what he's gonna get me this year. I wonder too. Do you know that? There's a government agency that tracks Santa Nordic. Yeah Nordic nor no red no red. Do you know how that happened? I do I do. Yes. Yeah, it's crazy. So in 1955 Sears printed out a call this number to see where Santa is and they accidentally Accidentally put on norad which at the time they're actually a cone ad Which cone ad was a continental air defense command now. It's the North American air space defense command Mm-hmm, but they accidentally put their phone number on it but the theory is that This apparently this happens every single year around Christmas The no-rad they observe something that is actually taking place on the North Pole What like an anomaly happens and their first sighting of it apparently was in 1955 So they started coming up with a cover story and then they just so happened to start getting called by a bunch of like little kids Yeah, and then so the commander at the time was like Yeah, we're tracking Santa and so the whole thing is that they actually were seeing an anomaly they have It's like in documentation that there was something happening in the North Pole weird that They said because they were tracking because of the Soviets, right? Those are in the cold warrior, but there is this anomaly to where it's like this thing was moving But it was too slow to be a planar missile and it would just make erratic movements So they're tracking it and there's like starting to come up with a cover story and all of a sudden they started getting phone calls from all these kids Yeah, Santa Claus don't worry about it. Yeah, so and they still do it to this day Yeah, but that's what made them really change after that like that's like their PR stunt almost like Like there's like okay, actually let's take advantage of this and let's create something that does track Santa. Yeah Yeah, but it is tracking. Yeah, I didn't mean it is quotations. Yeah, I was in UFOs. I'm just saying like the yeah No one can truly track his every single move because he's not really mad He's too fast. Yeah, there has to be some sort of a toilet teleportation. Yeah, for sure If you think about it, Santa's just like an IFO He's like an identified playing object. It's true. Yeah, true. No, it is. Yeah It lost your point. Yeah, fix your hat. I don't see your point Stuffing What's funny I fully believe like I'm not questioning your story But it also sounds like someone who's holding onto something is like trying to find an explanation for what they believed about it You get what I'm saying trying to be careful in the language I use right now in regards to the tracking No, like what they believe about aliens? No, so like so like the story is like you know They really are tracking Santa. That's what they're doing. No, but the thing was I know it was truthfully the wrong number was put on by Sears, but I'm saying like as someone who got older and it's like I talked to Santa and then they just continue to like Oh, that's what it is there. There is something at the North. Yeah, yeah, I like because there is isn't it a weird like that's a really weird thing to put on Their phone number like that's a weird the probability of that being an actual because it is like a command center a very secretive classified command center their phone number got put on the sears Catalog yeah, yeah, I think I the story I always heard was like there was like a one number off or something and like the kid dialed the wrong number or something I couldn't remember but no, they actually misprinted it. That's crazy. That's a huge mistake. Yeah, I can't imagine it was a mistake I like to imagine that first year where it's like, you know This is just a thing that happened and we're all dealing with it and then I imagine to be on the the continental Aronautics division there's like a quite a bit of school. You have to go to and like yeah, you have to learn and I like that like the following year They were like congratulations on your 19 years of school. You will be answering calls from little kids And telling them where Santa Claus is at any given moment. So that's gonna be your job now But you did it you reached the top of your of your career in profession. Good job. Good job. Good job Can you tell me what Santa Claus is? Yes, it's going down So much student loan debt for this Speaking of going down. Do you see that Chinese robot that kicked the CEO of the robot company because people are scary The people are like, oh, it's fake the robots fake and they're like, oh, let me show you and the CEO gets like, you know In padding and stuff like that and on belly pad and everything and this robot's just standing in front of them with his like Fist up and then suddenly leans back and just mid kicks this CEO Makes the guy fly back and land on the ground and it's just like what robot didn't even flinch Like it didn't even like rock back. It's just stood there. I'm like this is terrifying. Why are we teaching in this stuff? Oh my gosh Why is the kick mode in there? We're so close to real steel. Yeah, we're right there with real steel I'm the only person that's ever seen real steel I just said to you guys I mean he that's about kicked him. Yeah, and I don't even I couldn't tell but it didn't look like it hit him fully in the pads I'm like that would could Just destroy your bones. I thought that was terrifying. It's so scary It's like gen 1 of how strong these robots are gonna be. Yes Remember how like Boston Dynamics those like dogs that took years and now it seems like it's just overnight Yeah, is that AI you think the technology of just like improving itself? I think it's maybe yeah Oh my gosh, what a kick I Like that question though like where in the use of helpful robot things where you like what about a front kick? I was thinking we teach him to like perform surgeries and stuff. No kick. Yeah Right to the front I mean, I guess you just find out they're just like putting like Anderson Silva's like brain inside or something Oh, you guys ever hear about how Coca-Cola change Christmas? No Was it through polar bears? People say it's polar bear blood carbonated. Oh my god. Who says that? I just did people say that. Oh my god. No one says that This is crazy. Okay 1930 was it 1931 Coca-Cola wanted to start Commercializing Christmas prior to 1931 or 1930 Christmas was just like it was pretty much just like a Christian holiday where St. Nicholas looked like thin would wear like different colored robes Oh, yeah, because I mean it's based off of St. Nicholas, right? But Coca-Cola came out with what we now see Santa Claus the depiction of Santa Claus in the 1930s They're the one that started that they are. That's crazy. Yeah Jolly Santa and they based a lot of the looks off of Odin What dang that checks off of Odin. Yeah, and this is what some crazy similarities between Odin and Santa Claus So Odin was the Norse god so Odin and stuff during the winter solstice which falls on Christmas. They would celebrate you'll You've heard like the you'll all bring of the you'll all that stuff Well, you all is an ancient Germanic and Norse winter festival celebrating the winter solstice marking the shortest day of the rebirth of the Sun Symbolizing new beginnings rebirth in the return of light and warmth celebrated by Wiccans and pagans So yeah, but this Odin guy So Odin he's the right or the tradition goes he rode through the sky on a slip near Which is an eight-legged horse children left hay in their boots for slip near Odin inspected homes and rewarded and punished those - Those who were bad that year. - Whoa. - They just ripped this off. They didn't create nothing. - I know, and he traveled with elves, but they were not the little elves that we think they are. - Back in fact, like. - Gopperts. - Yeah, like demon like elves. - Orlando Bloom. (laughing) - But yeah, so Odin was associated with wisdom, magic, and forbidden knowledge. - Whoa. - And so Coca-Cola took that idea of Odin and you and the winter solstice, and they came up with this whole marketing campaign of who is Santa Claus? And they had this painter, what's his name? - Max Lucado. King Cade, Thomas King Cade. - Hayden Sunblum. Sunblum. - That was close. - Lamar Odin. - Sunblum. But yeah, he created Santa Claus in 1931, but he actually based, or he used one of his friends as the model, but who looked similar to Odin, and they created this whole, like Santa Claus does this. He rides on rain deers. He leaves you presents, pretty leaves coal for the bad kids, but you gotta leave out cookies and carrots and all this stuff, but it literally is like the yule, the festival of yule. - Interesting. - Yeah. - That's crazy. - Marketing, dude. - I remember. - First horizon. - We reviewed on the podcast, Kirk Cameron did a movie called like "Saving Christmas" or something. - Yeah, when he's like falling down and it goes a big candy cane. - Yeah, I was really confusing. I didn't know. You guys have seen it, I assume. I wouldn't even bother asking. But it's actually just more like a PSA, the whole thing, like he's just talking about different Christmas things. It's seriously the weirdest movie, 'cause it's like his premise is that Christians need to lighten up about Christmas, but that's his premise. And he's kind of like trying to make all of these, I know. - I'm sorry. - I've tried so hard and got so far. In the end, it doesn't even matter. So he's like, his base premise is like, stop being like, you know, Grinchy about all these traditions. They're kind of Christian. That's his idea. So he like tries to make that he just is like, it just was a really kind of flawed premise. It's like a Christmas tree sort of kind of reminds you of a cross kind of. And you're like. - Oh gosh. - And he does this whole bit with Santa Claus. And like St. Nicholas. And you're just like, I mean, they're really not like, I guess St. Nicholas was known for giving things to kids. He also is like most famously known for punching someone in the face or as a theological dispute. So it's like, you just don't really think these myths are really like at all. - It's a stretch. I mean, the majority of stuff that we do for Christmas is based off of Yule. So like a Christmas tree represents like the evergreen of the new season and like the burning of the Yule log and the mistletoe, all that stuff. It's like, it's based off of Yule. - Wasn't until last year that somebody pointed out how German all the reindeer names are. And I was like, oh my gosh, it ain't even thought of like. - Do you have Adolfin? - It's just like. - Heimler and Blitzen. - Very Germanic. - Blitzkrieg. - Prop, what are you saying? Prop, nurse. (laughing) - That's not my Santa. - No. - Not my Santa. - That's crazy though. - Yeah. - But I did look up 'cause I'm like, when did we start celebrating Christmas on December 25th? And the church actually in, I think it was like three, 26 AD, Christians established December 25th as the festival of observing Christ's birth. - Yeah. - Because it did fall in the winter solstice where ancient Rome was practicing paganism. This was a pagan holiday. So they tried to replace it 'cause the Rome was becoming a Christian empire or whatever, so they replaced it. - For all the boy codders, I think we need to remember that it's okay to redeem times too. Like you don't just have to abandon a tradition. You can like redeem meanings in days. - Like how the Christians did with making on December 25th. You know, that was a pagan holiday. - That's what I'm saying. Yeah, like, so for everyone who's trying it, like even here's what you just said is like, we've got to burn our tree. - No. - Although it's really fun to burn a Christmas tree. - Very fun. - Not in your house. - Don't do it in your house. - I prefer it. - You don't have a real one, right? - Fish, you don't have a real one this year, do you? - Yeah, I do. - Always. - Yeah, same. - Oh my ex. - Real? - Yeah. - It's just, it's so special. - It is. We got into a big discussion in the Russo House. I was really fighting for team victory. I'm ashamed to say. - Are you really? - Yeah, I was. I was. I have come to my senses, but I just was like, they're expensive and the other ones come at the lights already on them. - Was it you talk when you talk about Christmas decorations? - Second, I believe this room. That's how I actually talk. That's my real voice. - But yeah, we got a real tree now. We got one to support a boy scout troop. - Nice. - That's great. - They'll set up right down the road. - I almost say Christmas trees are really expensive. - Yeah. - Yeah, that's how much? - R's was 120 bucks. - Whoa. - Yeah, you could just buy a fake one for that. - No, but it's not the same. - It's not the same. - Kind of the same. - The smell. - It's kind of the same. - The smell. - How much are we gonna celebrate you all? (laughing) - Hey, Kelsey got married on the winter solstice. - Oh, 21st. - Oh, yeah. - It's the longest day of the year. - That was hard. - I'm really obsessed with holiday tracing it back. We just went on a deep Thanksgiving dive this year. I don't know how much you've done on that, but there's this one woman and I'm gonna forget her, I don't remember her last name right now, I think her first name is Sarah, but she petitioned for Thanksgiving to be a national holiday. It was a regional holiday for a long time. And people did it at different times. It was like not, it was like all of the United States did not remember this at the same time. And then it was post Civil War, Abraham Lincoln, was, she wrote to every president, like prior to Abraham Lincoln that she was alive. And they all said no, that it's not gonna be a national holiday. And then Lincoln's the one who made it a national holiday to bring everyone together after the Civil War, to bring unity. - Good. - Isn't that nice? - And we've been together ever since. - No problem, no issue. - Paul can you tell you about my best friend. - Did you even go even further back? I just saw, I have a series, keep coming up on my for you page 'cause we're researching all this orthodox stuff. And it's this guy that makes a series that's called, it's okay to be Catholic, but he comes up with like all these interesting topics or whatever, I'm not Catholic, by the way. But anyway. - Says you're out. (laughing) - He, uh. (laughing) He talked about how in St. Augustine, they actually did the very first Thanksgiving. - Oh, I saw that. - Yes. - When I was researching for the father, that was, - Like, they did it like the way that we talked about it. - They traded with the Native Americans. They had a feast together with the Native Americans. - Yeah, and so he's like, what's more likely that this well-recorded event that happened in St. Augustine, spontaneously happened again, 80 years later in Massachusetts, or that the Native Americans were aware of this tradition and shared it all the way up the coast and introduced it to the pilgrims that came over. - People crap on Florida, but man, this state's bringing people together. - Everyone in the Northeast is so jealous of us. (laughing) Honestly exhausted. - It's sick. (laughing) - You just want everything we have. - As a Florida native, I totally agree. (laughing) - Which is so cool that Spain did that, though, that thing first thing saving, 'cause they did nothing else wrong with the Native Americans. - No, that was the cool thing, is they start off on the wrong right foot and they continue to do so. - The conquistadors are known for their hostility and their love. - Hospitality. - Hospitality, he said hospitality. That was a free insulin right there. - Oh my gosh, I'm in the hospital. - Yeah, you know what I meant. - Yeah. - Flanthropy. - Yeah. - For sure. - Psych! - We were talking about that, just how holidays get removed and new information comes up. We were at the, what's the one in New York that the Knight of the Museum, the American Natural History Museum. - Mm-hmm. - And they have a depiction of the conquistador interaction and it's got a big sign over it. That's like, hey, we're not, we're re-evaluating the nature of this display because that museum was actually a side note. There was a lot of global warming stuff going on. - Yeah. - And I'm like, like they're showcasing it? - No, my head, I'm thinking Knight of the Museum and I'm thinking, gosh, I could go on so many tangents here. I actually really dig this idea 'cause it's animals that are stuffed and so they're not, I don't know if you're ever at a zoo and you're like, I kind of feel bad. That's a big old tiger and not so big cane. That's a live animal. But these are not live animals. So you go around and you're like, a lot of these animals died in the wild and then they taxidermy them and they, like this is kind of a cool way to showcase animals. I was kind of pumped about the trip and they just have like, it's not so bad. They just have global warming stuff up on like all of them. Like, there were so many displays that were like, you like these buffalo? Well, they're not gonna survive global warming. And I was like, okay, well, good. I mean, spread the word, take care of the environment. That's fine. And then you turn and you're like, you use a little snow hair, isn't that cool? It's all like, there's gonna die 'cause of global warming. And I was like, okay, like maybe we just do it with the intro and we establish that it's important. And then we let the other animals just have their own displays. Just be a pamphlet. It's like, if you care and wanna read. I can get it. I'm trying to tell my kids to take care of the environment. But can we like legit, the buffalo one was like, the view was obscured by like stuff on the glass. about normal warming which I was like again I'm not out here to say don't talk about it but we're here to see these stuffed buffalo anyway that's more of like a going through the gift shop outro kind of speech just like hey I hope you guys enjoyed it what a beautiful thing I just want to remind you all of that is going to disappear because of global warming right like say later the Florida aquarium does this right where you're like aren't these manatees cool yeah we gotta subplute in the waterways anyway here's the devil rays and you're like okay yeah that makes sense yeah but then they have all those that aren't exhibits that are made from the pollution cycle trash which we wouldn't have unless we pollute it so this is kind of a double edged sword like what are we doing like it's beautiful art think about how tough we've made these manatees yes by these boat propeller scars they're learning this would be just a floating pillow but now you look at it I don't want to mess with that thing look at it it's like spit and teeth out on the way I forgot where my point was very Christmas you were talking about something else on the national history museum yeah we were just tracking we were tracking holidays oh it'll come back oh it's on the floor you can keys to door display they're like this is wrong they were just super PC oh yeah yeah yeah well and then we were just saying like when you learn stuff about a holiday and it's like at what point have is there like the the celebration of the holiday is so far removed from the origination of the holiday you know what I'm saying yeah yeah we also this on this trip to the northeast that we went on we went to Salem Massachusetts the witches we were there like the Saturday before Halloween wow wow it was crazy fun or scary like not my bag kind of deal okay like imagine if you were like vaguely familiar with Harry Potter and then you found yourself in Harry Potter world okay fair you know what I mean yeah you're like this seems neat for someone I don't know a lot about this yeah did you see any houses with the windows that were crooked yeah and there's like the witch house which is like the old day they used to design houses back then with the windows that were crooked because they believe that a witch couldn't fly into it because it was a crooked window this will get out it sounded perfect square just turned a guy into a newt but I cannot crack these windows that our caddy want us this invention what am I to do boy so anyway we just like hypothetically we were like what if you just found a journal that had never been found and was like on October 31st they killed a ton of witches like it just brutally was a disgusting horrible thing but everybody would look at each other and be like I mean we're still gonna do like Halloween they're right this is not this is a different thing at this point we're dressing up we're going to see our neighbors and things that's my question for you guys do you think what what is there enough information that could come out about a certain holiday we're like it wouldn't be celebrated anymore or have they all separated I don't know I did a lot of research this Halloween because a bunch of my girlfriends were like convicted about not participating in Halloween because of like spooky stuff yeah but apparently the trick or treating event was actually invented by Christians as kind of like what we were talking about with Christmas like a rebrand like mockery of the satanic of it yeah yeah taking it back and making something cool out of it like visiting your neighbors and giving each other treats you know and like also Hallows Eve yeah celebrating the you know the persecution of Christians on November 1st like that's like right it was a huge part so it's like yeah it's all conflated now we just need I'm not going to say anything until Kirk Cameron comes out with a saving thank you and then we could finally figure out how to fill out yeah how to feel Kirk how to feel did you guys see that video of this man who was in a stolen BMW and was driving crazy crashed it and this is what he said they're like what are you doing they're having like captain stuff he's like I don't know how I got out of there he said I must have teleported in there something he's like I don't know how I'm here what they're like all right chill out I'm like what if he's what if he's right no one would believe you genius defense no one would believe you that would be like I just I literally appeared in this BMW put me on a lie detector test like he passed it what do you have yeah that would be terrifying could you imagine something like that happening to you and you are just pleading with someone I promise you right I was not there and then I was there yeah all right buddy yeah sure pal there was a woman who said who I think stole a car and said Kanye West took over her brain and made her do it which again I'm like I mean prove that he did it I'm just saying we should at least talk to you which is let's just figure out his alibi I say that because I thought of Salem and like a dude that like really probably encountered like a real witch yeah and he's like she's a witch and I was like I don't think so and then I'll soon it took off and like everyone's a witch yeah I don't know well that's what then that was kind of our conversation so right now if you go there it's like we went so close to Halloween it was like a time square kind of experience wow like there's people in costumes from horror movies and like all this it was like crazy busy but it's basically like a chochki shop all around like witchcraft and apothecaries and it's very like I don't know it's kind of a essential oil oriented yeah I mean it's not like a big cauldron that you're buying or anything yeah that's kind of the vibe there so anyway our conversation of me and Rachel the dry was like do you like at the bottom of this story was any with her witches here I bet you there's just one was there one like I mean I'm like there could be none that could totally be none it's all made up one real witch that could read and so everybody every other woman that could read was a witch 100% dang yeah arithmetic I just got a lumped into it for women I don't know why I pictured she has like a Calvin and Hobbes book that's what she was reading the most most wholesome harmless thing it could be read did you guys see that plane on i95 what the car those this was actually last week actually maybe a couple days ago the one that landed on the highway landed on a car on the highway see I scrolled past it because it looks so similar to the other videos right at the same thing that's when it hits the cars when I was like oh that's new that's what I don't do investigating fast and the furious stuff now that looks similar this looks like the other 10 the plane landed in the highway we're gonna be about another pilot that also went crazy they'll also try to throw the edges this has got to be real yeah watch it three don't oh big plane did they die I don't think so the driver no that car held up pretty good yeah because they hit their brakes and everything imagine not even seeing it in your rearview mirror cars in great shape gets out and check from the pilot bro that's the pilot's like I don't know why I got here I tell for you or something car just drive a guy just keep happening to me I would I would love it if that was the thing that happened if a series of criminals just all started using that same or they started believing it that's crazy I am shaken at the shape of this car is this not amazing anyway how much is a plane way stinking plane landed on it and it is like it looks like he's gonna drive by and give the driver the bird yeah that was it cut me off hey you to blink a bud dude I get the fear because you can't see it behind you you know like you you look back every once in a while yeah side mirrors and stuff yeah I can imagine it makes making a lot of noise as well so you see some crushing down on you like what what possible you guys have possibilities wait so scared you guys don't check your son or if I drive going to start yeah oh great we're good up there I'm gonna switch lanes that's so fun the suspension of the car maybe think of a do you see that guy that created magnet suspension on on on the bike yes yeah you see this Andrew it's literally he like he's like the power of like you know two magnets being pushed together the you know they they push against it so he created a bike that has no suspension but it's literally just huge giant magnets being forced together and so when he's riding it's literally just pushing up so when it starts like bouncing it like it's powering the bike so they did I'm big hero six wait a minute yeah they go from big hero six remember do you guys see this movie yeah I don't think she is the like that's a movie the bikes I've never even heard of that movie how did I get here that teleporting it just pops in the back I'm in the wrong room this is an obi group which walks by with Calvin and I was what is going on bike coworker was telling a story of the day he was he said he got pulled over in the car that he was driving was was reported stolen and the first thing he said to the police officer was that he was like no I rented it and I was like I feel like that's the worst like immediate response he's like no oh I didn't steal it I rented it I borrowed it what we have here is just a misunderstanding of the terms of the agreement yeah to the car and then he was like well then I told him a pastor And I told him I'm a pastor and I'm like again follow up like name one - One time a pastor did something weird or shake. - You can't see later. - He can't go from one time. - I rented this car from a guy, goodbye. - God bless me. - I love cop videos. - It's so good. - I saw this one guy, he got out of a speeding ticket because cops pull him over and he had a Rubik's Cube like on his lap. Like I was like, what are you doing with the Rubik's Cube? And he's like, if I told you I could solve it in one second, would you believe me? And he's like, no. He's like, I'll maybe give you like 20 seconds or something. And he's like, all right. And so he got out and he has the cop filming him. And he's like, all right, he mixes it up. He has the cop mix it all up. - Yeah. - He's like, all right, and they're counting and it gets like 20 seconds, he's solved it. And he's like, that's crazy. And he's like, but remember I told you I could do it in one second. And he's like, yeah. And so he mixes it up again. And he throws it up and catches it. And it's solved. And he's like, what? (laughing) And he's like, now watch this. He's like, I'm gonna throw it behind my back. He mixes it all up, throws it behind his back, catches it. It's solved. And he's like, that's insane. He's like, you're free to go. You're a witch. Get out of here. (laughing) That's so funny. Anyways, I gotta learn a magic trick. - Yeah, for real, dude. That's a key. - Like bags of illegal drugs in the back of the car. - Sir, do you know I pulled you over? - No, but there is something behind your rear. (laughing) It's a dump. (laughing) - Pop, pop, pop. (laughing) (laughing) - No! (laughing) - The chief is like, Brady, we gotta talk again. You keep letting these people off 'cause they do slide ahead. (laughing) I love magic, officer. - He opens the trunk. There's a person like I tied up. Wait a second, the guy says, really? - I'm pushing up. (laughing) It's gone. (laughing) All right. - Get out of here, kid. - You rock. (laughing) - You were asking for you. If I know all cops, that's like their kryptonite. It's just magic. Don't it's a magic. (laughing) - Except for each of them. (laughing) - That's pretty good. Sergeant, get down to you. You gotta see this. (laughing) - Crime is an old timeite. - Kelsey's asking me. She's like, should the girls be watching cops? 'Cause I'd let 'em watch cops. Like YouTube and stuff. Like whenever we go to hotels, that's like the only thing that's like playing consistently throughout the night that I'm like, I don't have to check. I'm like, take a watch cop. Some like, and they're fascinated. They absolutely love it. - It's fun to walk. - Every time there's a new clip, they're like, oh, this is Wichita. Oh, this is a Miscogi. Like, they always look at the places. And they're just fascinating. Like, this guy is a gun dad. And I'm like, I think it's helping them. Learn like the right and wrong. 'Cause they're not thinking it is like, oh, I want to be like this. They obviously see like, this is wrong what they're doing. - Yeah. What was the, they had the live show? - The live PD. - Live PD. - Yeah, it was pretty fun to walk. - You know, they actually canceled that during, like, the BLM riots. Like, they canceled live PD. They canceled cops. They canceled Paw Patrol. Any cop related show was canceled. - Wow. - Because they didn't want to take sides on, like, being pro or anti. I'm like, Paw Patrol? (laughs) Come on! Paw Patrol. - That's crazy. - Defend Paw Patrol. - Paw Patrol needed to be canceled. - Yeah. - Someone needs to do a Paw Patrol, but it's with the content of like, cops and live PD. - It's like, it's animated like a kid show, but it's like full on just real crime. - It's like, corrupt Paw Patrol. - Yeah, they're like, they're like, dropping thing. They're like, dropping like, you know, catnip and some ladies to the bed scene. - Is that mine? Marshall, what are you doing? - What the fuck? - He's the evidence locker. (laughs) - We saw your name on the logs. You gotta turn yourself in. (laughs) - I'm just giggling too. Think you're about 80s girls, like, calling out the codes while they watch. - Oh, this is a 4013. You can't be doing this. (laughs) You kidding me? - Oh, it's a 5-11. I'm gonna take a bathroom break. - Hey, nothing to see here. Get in me. - Oh. - Should we get into our story? - Oh yeah, yeah. - I forgot about this. - Speaking of dirty. - Oh, just fill in space. - I know, I was gonna feel like, I feel like we're kind of, but tell the backstory of how you guys found, like on the same day. - So I started researching, 'cause I wanted like a Christmas story and just kind of started looking through what I could find on the internet in regards to either true crime, cryptid, just kind of diving fully in. And I found a story that was crazy. When you guys both got here, I asked you, I was like, "Hey, have you guys heard of this family?" Both of you had it. And then literally, you're decorating the room, sitting over there on that couch. And you call on speaker, and I don't know what exactly happened. - Well, what did he say? - Well, we were just talking about the plan with Lily and just to make sure he's prepped. And then he's just like, "Hey, have you heard of this one time, this one family?" - Yeah. - Yeah. - A fire, 10 kids. - I should have had more to add there, I'm sorry. Yes, I just, I had been DMed. I got DM by my buddy Garrett Schouts out, who this story happened to his family. So this is, he was like, his exact first message was, "Hey Anthony, I have a really good, unsolved Christmas mystery." Next time you see the Ninja's guys, you should talk about it. And I was like, you know, you guys know, some of these you get, and it's like. - So grandpa Tom Swore, he set the presents in the attic, and then they weren't there. (laughing) - Yeah, I'll tell him, but this was a good one. - Yeah, yeah. - I'm gonna let you tell it in all supplemented, or do you want me to tell him? - Yeah, I'll give it a go. - You have the closest, like, to first hand, 'cause you talk to a family man. - This is what's crazy. Completely unrelated, you found this story, and then this person reached out, and this is, this is about a family with nine kids. One of the kids was this person, Garrett's grandfather, who happened to be away at, you guessed it, World War II, when all this happened, he was overseas. - Side. - Side was down. - Full size. - Didn't specify which weirdly enough. (laughing) It's a family's life. - I heard immigrant family. - Yeah, but I would think based on the story, fighting for the good guys. - Which are who? - Which is what's up? - Which were who? - So let's get into it. - Yep. (laughing) - Okay, so this, gosh, where do you start with the story? So it's parents and these nine kids, and I'll start at what happened. There was a fire in their house on Christmas Eve, what was deemed an electrical fire, and the whole house went up and smoked. The whole house burns down in 45 minutes. - Oh no. - And parents and four of the kids get out. - Yes. - Is that right? - Yep. - Parents and four of the kids get out. The dad, by all accounts, like a great dad is a very respected family, like middle class, working class family in this community. In West Virginia, this happened. And there was a billboard up regarding the story for a long time that I think people in the area probably would remember if you were around there at all, 'cause how could you forget something like this. So the dad, like all the kids are not out, so he does what any dad does, and he wants to go back in and get him. He had a ladder that was set up on the side of the house that he used, because the layout of their house was kind of wonky, and he had to get up there to do things for whatever reason. So he always had this ladder to go up to the side of the house. So he gets out, he counts the kids. He's like, "Oh, I got it, they're still up there." He goes, "The ladder's gone." He didn't touch the ladder and the ladder's gone. So he's like, "Panicings, I have to get up there." Like, again, this is like in smoke as this is all happening. He is a coal driver. He had like a trucking business. So he had these coal trucks that he was using the day before, to work, and then of course, it's Christmassy, so he's chilling. So he goes to start the coal truck. Both of them won't start. Both of them were fully functioning the day prior. - Yeah, he had used them before. - He was gonna drive the coal truck into the house essentially and then climb it up and see if he gets the kids out. So the coal trucks don't work, the ladder's gone. House burns down, and everybody's just like, "Oh, it's so sad those kids died." Here's some things, and this is where we'll have to contact team some of it, just some peripherals. - What's the name, what's the story of this? - Okay, the family name. - The Sotter Children, the Sotter. This is the story of the Sotter Children. - Sotter Children. - And one detail, that room that they were in were those other kids where they had converted an attic. So there's like a skinny hallway stairway up there. And so he even tried buckets of water. He tried to douse the hallway after he couldn't get the ladder, but it was literally so hot with flame so fast that he couldn't, like this isn't the story of a dad who got what he could and then was like, I mean, he for 45 minutes, he was doing everything he could to get to that level and did just panic. - It just didn't happen. - The story said the dad's like bleeding like all over the planet covered in burns. Like, did every single thing he could. Here's where things get weird. The remains, like the house burns down wherever, they find no human remains, no bones, no nothing, no sign of any. - Five kids are still in there. - Five kids allegedly burned in this house, and there's no sign of human remains. - That's impossible. - 45 minutes. - 45 minute burn. - That's impossible. - Yeah, so they were, they were, one of the articles had talked to like a cremation person, 'cause that's what the story was, was like, oh, they just got cremated and burned up. - No, I'm 45 minute. - And they were like, it's two hours at like 2000 degrees. - And it's not, it can't be that hot. I know even like the worst structure fires. - Right. - You still have bones. - Yeah. - The level of heat that you would have to have. - So 40s house. - One of the persons involved did a test and like burned up animals in the same kind of premise, and was like there were always bones. - Yeah, yeah. - All, you couldn't, the bones were there. - And out of five kids, there were probably different areas. - There would be, yeah, there would have to be something. - Okay, go a little bit more in the after. So this goes down, the parents immediately are like, this is not like, oh, also little gross. So trigger warning, I guess. The smell of rotting flesh. They say it's like unmistakable like it's human. It's animal. It's what if something is burning in that way It's everybody can smell it nobody could smell it. It was just there's no sentence just a structure fire in the air I have not smell that's pretty standard thing when people are burning house like you can it's very They said front just aisles around really what the what's with the article especially that many kids in a space that small When the fire was only lit for that long. Yeah, which is so bleak But it's just to the point of like they're like going that something doesn't seem right So then you get these stories of people somebody who worked at a motel that was like, oh, I saw those kids the next day They came in here with a grown-up with two men and two women. What what I didn't I don't know how many people there were with I think it's at it with We saw them with two men and two women and they came into the hotel and the the worker was like I tried to talk to the kids And they didn't they wouldn't talk to me then somebody had a diner Because like the parents start to go like we don't think this is adding up. Right somebody had a diner says I served in breakfast the next day Like they came in here and had breakfast and I don't know where they went But they I Tim telling you they were in here doing breakfast. So this family takes that took out a billboard Which is how a lot of people found out about the story that said you have to look at it. It's like It just says like were the were the solder children kidnapped Uh or did the fire kill them the mystery Continues on or something else ended to you so you guys can see it Then you go back in time a little bit So this was an Italian family came from from Italy and uh and they were real tight-lipped about why they left But again, it's World War II era and so then they get to America They kind of establish themselves and the dad is starts to be really outspoken about Mussolini and just saying like in a positive way in a negative way Oh super negative way and this is like an Italian immigrant community in West Virginia Yeah, he was you talk about him being an upstanding person in the community He was a spokesperson against so like left fascism and then was very like very outspoken about it where they were Which I which again from the article is like was not Completely everybody in the town felt the same way like kind of mafia community. Yeah And so he was visited one they said it was an electrical fire He had the electric company come out and check his wiring Prior to this whole incident right complete bill of health everything in perfect working order. Yep. Wow. Oh my goodness I keep forgetting details they tried to call from the house to the fire the phones didn't work. Yep, phones were down They said it was an electrical fire. The lights never turned off. Yep. So they were like if the if it shorts out and starts a fire like the power goes out Yeah, and the lights never turned off during the whole fire So did you see the the thing about the person who cut the line that got caught? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah So so there's another guy who apparently days before had been caught stealing fishing tackle and Supposedly what he's running off they arrest him and then he later said yeah, I cut the wire But I was trying to cut power. I didn't realize it was a phone line But then when you go back to police records. There's no record of this person being arrested Even though the story itself and the arrest was part of the case So like somehow it got scrubbed that someone cut a line like that name's gone Phone line wasn't burned phone line was cut The car the cold trucks are like tampered with that's why and like Clearly after the fact they're like yeah, this isn't like wear and tear This is like somebody mess with your cars the ladder wasn't stolen It was found further up the road in the ditch Someone just pulled it away. Yeah, it couldn't be they couldn't get in oh my goodness Is this not the like and so then he had people come to his house this dad like randomly like they were just like knock on the door Say they were there for like other like non-descript reasons and they saw people like Wandering around the property multiple times and they were like we didn't know why these people were there One guy goes in asks him to do some kind of work on the house He was selling some kind of work and the guys like no we're not gonna do it And he said this whole house is gonna burn down Yep, it says as it was an insurance salesperson literally says your house will go up and smoke your children will be destroyed That's a quote what do you sound like do you sound like this? Yeah, probably. Yeah, it's probably gonna burn down I've been trying to not jump in your story consult you know salutations from Mussolini I mean, I imagine that's how it happened dude. That is Why you typically I'm against this kind of Italian stereotyping, but I want to confirm that is probably what Did the the phone call that happened? Yeah, yeah, well tell them that so so It's everyone everyone is gone to bed and the mother wakes up at 1230 because of the phone rings and she she says it's weird because the kids job was to draw the curtains and turn off the lights Like that's her job. She wakes up thinking the kids have just passed out and the windows are all open and the lights are on so she draws them Sorry, I got a little she does that Realizes when the phone rings you realize none of that's done answers the phone and it's this woman Who's like asking for somebody, but she's her report is something's just off with this phone call like the boy sounds weird And yeah, 12 30 a.m. And she's like Basically confused and then the person just starts laughing and hangs and she says the laugh like sent like chills She was like what was that? That's so this is after the fact so no, I'm sorry. This was this right before the five. This is this is at 1230 at 1 a.m She wakes up again to the sound of something hitting the roof and then rolling Yeah, and she's like what the heck was that she gets and that woke her up But then she realizes there's a smell of smoke oh no So she runs up and sees the fire next to They're like in in the husband's office, which is where the fuse box is But so that's their immediate assumption was that wakes him up and then he runs to go up the stairs And just in the time it took her to wake up see the fire and get him the entire stairways and cough So it started near the fuse box But in it was like strategic yeah, let him off from getting up to his kids Have we ruled out Santa? Was Santa gonna do what's his alibi Oh, that's okay listen here fat man. Yeah, there was tell me where you were I've actually heard this story before Buzzie did and unsolved mysteries dude one more crazy detail They like it starts to kind of like get around that the story's like not adding up So then the authorities of the area come out and there's a lot of weirdness like the fire department was was A deployed in World War two so there wasn't like the typical fire department So there's some like stuff that does check a little bit, but the story gets out. It's not adding up So they were like they're like oh we found a heart On the in the in the rubble. We found a heart. Yeah, right like a fire and organ Made it through but no bones did and they're like yeah, we found a heart But uh, but it was it just seemed really kind of like Messed up to to show anyone the heart. So we put it in a box and we buried it at sea Buried at sea. What are we buried it at the scene at the scene. Oh That's like where your story is going That's crazy if they my guy drove to the Pacific from West Virginia No, they buried it at the scene. We're showing this guy respect. So he's like don't we found a heart Don't worry about it. We buried it at the scene. It's in a box. Well then like again time goes by they go back They find this it's like legit that they find the box. It's a beef liver In the box. What are we doing? This seems so obvious and the the chief said I he admitted that he planted it And he said I was just trying to give him closure All right, so I'm going to kill some beaver and steal its liver We go for way to beaver I think he said beef liver. Oh, I heard beaver too. Yeah, that's what he said did she say beaver It's a beaver's hot liver at the scene Beaver livers What's the guy's name who DMG? He's getting so text right now. I'm sorry Garrett Hi, honey. I'm going to go work on the damn today. All right. We'll see you later. Oh Fire chief. What are you doing here? Is everything all right? What's that knife in your hand pull? Amazing. How crazy is that story? Crazy story. I can't believe I've never heard of it. That's crazy Yeah, and they like never gave up like they kept saying like is anybody seen them like they were they knew That this story is not what they're saying is there's there's a wholesome twist Which I'm hoping and choosing to believe that this is this is how it played out. But beef liver lived yes But no like the whole community If someone was a sympathizer with George the dad and they were like We know the plans that are being made against these kids the kids have been reporting people mystery watching the house telling their parents And so the theory is they knew the hit was coming and and like the reason they were spotted at diners being fed being taken care of was someone was like You're never going to survive if you stay here and your parents will immediately like if they're looking for you You're still in danger. So someone abducted them and that's why the kids went quietly And pulled the kids out of there and so they you know they got taken. Did they say anything about the demeanor of the kids at the restaurant where they were seen The only one that I saw that commented was the motel worker who said it was just like the I'd have to go back and like reread for detail But it was the vibe I got was like, you know, just typical like oh, hey kids, you know coming to the motel And they mean five kids you would have to see if like yeah, like they were there was something wrong. Yeah, there was teenagers too So it wasn't yeah, yeah, yeah, there were teens some of them were I think three to 19. I don't remember the ages. It was a rage But that's crazy, but that's what I'm saying like, I mean, to abduct that many people. - I mean, there's so much coordination. It's one of those stories where you're like, the story given doesn't check out, but I don't know the alternative. Unless they all like went down that ladder and then whoever was like positively kidnapping them. Kidnapping in the best way. - But I mean, like if you have like an older high school kid, age, and they're like, if I'm telling my younger sibling, this person is actually for us, like you would have a direct family member being like, we need to do this. - Right, you'd go down the ladder and then ditch the ladder down the road. - Well, they don't know when the kids left. They just know when the fire started, 'cause mom was asleep. She didn't see the kids. - And the stuff wasn't done. - Right. - So they might have been gone by that point. - Oh no. - See, the moral of the story is for the kids that are watching, maybe you didn't get that Nintendo switch for Christmas, maybe you didn't get the gifts that you wanted. But you always remember, it could be a whole lot worse on Christmas morning. - Mussolini could get you. - Mussolini's under your bed kids. (laughing) - Oh, Merry Christmas, everyone. - Yay, yes! - But guess what, we're not done yet. We're headed over to patreon.com/newsrebutiflies or YouTube members where we're gonna do an extra episode with our buddy Antoni. - Antoni. - It's me. - With our little star, baby. - Also, it's not too late to get some last minute Christmas gifts for people who forgot. So go to sonequalswag.com. - If you get some ninja merch. - This is after Christmas. - That's what I'm saying, people who forgot. People were like, "Oh, I forgot to give you a gift." - Oh, I'm gonna send it to you. - Somebody got you a gift and you were like, "I didn't know where you're doing it. "I gotta get you some more." - No, you can't go get it. - Or for the people who were like, "No, it's in the mail still." - Well, no, that checks out. - 'Cause we did a reorder, a re-stocking of the Clanker team. - Yeah, that makes sense. - So maybe you ordered it and we just had to re-print it 'cause they sold out so fast. - That's right. - Stalking. - I got that. - I think I already did there. All right, guys, we love you. - We love you, Merry Christmas. - Merry Christmas. - We hope you guys had a great one. Happy holiday. - Thanks for coming, Anthony. - Wow. - Thank you. - Bye-bye. - Oh yeah, you need to plug something. - Yeah, the buy was funny. At the buy was funny. Buy was funny podcast. Buy was funny. Car game volume two is out. - Woo. - Now. - Yeah. - You can give volume one as well. But volume two. Check it out. Bye. - Love you. - Love you about to sit. - I made a stir up you. - Marminos. - Yeah. - Any of you know what these multi-decade UAP losses are? - Aliens. (upbeat music) - Bottle nose. - Fish fix. - There's a massive police horse ride. - On the darkened thing. - Oh my god. - It's an open style attack. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) - Oh, I'm so sick. Do you want to put the hat on? - Headphones off. - My god, your face. (upbeat music) - We're just the center. (upbeat music)
