3:16 (The Good News) 1

The sermon emphasizes that the gospel is the central, life-defining message of Christianity—simple in essence yet profound in depth. It stresses that true faith involves not just believing, but deeply understanding and experiencing the gospel’s truth. The speaker argues that many Christians claim salvation without truly grasping the core message, highlighting a dangerous neglect of biblical teaching. Central to the message is God’s nature: loving, merciful, and holy, yet just and righteous. This divine justice demands punishment for sin, yet God’s love is fully revealed in Jesus’ substitutionary death on the cross, where He bore the penalty for humanity's sin. The sermon draws on Scripture to show that sin separates people from God, and that only through Christ’s sacrifice can humanity be reconciled. It underscores that salvation is not about works but grace, and that believers must grow in knowledge and revelation to live effective, faithful lives. The central truth is that God loved the world so deeply that He sent His Son to die for us—making salvation both possible and profoundly personal. This message is not only foundational but urgent, calling believers to recognize, affirm, and live out the gospel with clarity and conviction.

Welcome to the Cermans and Teachings from the Catalyst Fellowship with Ipaii Micah. We hope the message you are about to listen to or edify while I'm causing to experience an exponential growth and now the message. All right welcome everybody to 316 our new teaching series on the Catalyst Fellowship. Subtitles to the Good News. Amen. I want to start today's teaching from a text that was read. So I will bring Philemon chapter 1 and verse 6. I just want to urge everybody to make sure it's a series. I'm going to be expounded on a lot of things. I'm going to be answering questions. I might have both your hearts. So make sure that you you know your person for every part of the series I always encourage this because you might think you learned it just because you came for one. It doesn't work that way. Amen. And then I've been encouraging for the past two weeks now. Please free of your Saturdays. Everybody free of your Saturdays. Amen. All right Philemon chapter 1 and verse 6. The Bible says that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgement of every good thing which is in you, which is in Christ Jesus. Listen this is the Apostle Paul's letter. So a man called Philemon. Back story to this. Philemon is a brother in Christ. He had a slave called Onisimus. And historians say that Onisimus had stolen something from Philemon and he ran away of Philemon as you might call it. And he ran away. Now Onisimus meets with the Apostle Paul in prison. And while in prison the Apostle Paul disciples Onisimus. Now Onisimus is better. Now Onisimus is effective. I taught you this in the discipleship that mentorship can be the difference between a believer who is effective. And the believer who is not effective. Now Onisimus is to return to Philemon but the Apostle Paul is writing to Philemon to plead to him to receive Onisimus. But he then says, he says in an inverse one, he says, I thank God making mention of you my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have towards the Lord Jesus, talking to Philemon. And it says that the sharing of your faith, the word sharing here is co-inonia and that your fellowship may become effective by what, by the acknowledgement of every good thing which is in you, which is in Christchurch. He's telling him and is charging him. It says that fellowship which you say we have would only be what, effective by what the acknowledgement, the word acknowledgement is coming to the full understand. Of every good thing which is in you, which is in Christchurch, this means that growth, revelation, knowledge is the key to your effectiveness in the faith. I get what I'm saying. He's charging him. He's telling him, remember the faith we share. Remember the fellowship we have. Remember who you are in Christchurch. Because if you haven't learned this, your fellowship might not just be effective. Are you getting what I'm saying? And that's why it's important for us as believers to see that revelation, knowledge is the next most important thing to believe after salvation. Never play with it. Revelation, knowledge is why we gather. It's why we gather if we are in a congregation of believers and the end goal always is not revelation, knowledge that's a problem. Amen. Our gathering is on to the Lord. Philippians chapter 1 verse 25, "I know that I will continue with you for your progress." God wants you to grow. And what? And joy in the faith. Amen. So our gathering is not just a dance. It's not just for welfare, even though that's important. Are you with me? That's important, but it's not just for welfare. It's that the outcome, I always say this, three months in any local community of believers, if you can't look back and see a track record of books, you're not in the right place. Amen. You're not. Because you must have an acknowledging of who you are. It reminds of who you are. It's training on who you should be that would affect your life and will make your world your fellowship, more what effective. Hallelujah. And so I'm going to start by speaking about what I call the biggest paradox today. And the reason why I call it the biggest paradox that exists today is because it says, it's because it's a subject matter that pertains to life and death. The pertains to eternity. And I think that's the biggest thing. Our existence is the biggest thing that exists. Amen. Because without it, we don't exist too. Jesus, I'm saying it's the biggest thing. It defines us as humans and what happens to us after we die. And it's that you will be surprised how many Christians there are today who don't know the gospel. It sounds basic, right? It sounds little, but it's the biggest paradox. And this statement is such a paradox that it is surprising. And the fact that I might be speaking on some people might not still identify what the paradox is. And in case you're still trying to figure out what the paradox is, think about the fact that it's impossible for you to be a Christian without the gospel. So how is it then that they are Christians who don't know the gospel? Hallelujah. It's impossible. You only a Christian because you believe the gospel. The gospel is the message that gets a believer saved. And just in case this doesn't still make sense to you, then this teaching is more important for you and you should take it very seriously. Amen. There are two possibilities. Either you are heard and believe the gospel, but you do not know that is one of the most important message to get you saved. Or you thought you had the gospel, but you never truly heard the gospel. Either way is this teaching is for you. Amen. There's so many people who claim to be Christians. And I'm not truly saved because they haven't heard or believed the gospel. This reminds me of a story. I want to have my spiritual father. Either him or his friend, I can't remember the story well, went to preach some way and he preached to the gospel. So powerful, so raw, so true. And an old man walks up to him and says, "My son, you could see how downcast he was. You mean to tell me that I've been in church for over 80 years of my life." And I wasn't saved. As a result of the message you are telling me, no one really ever emphasized this way. I've been going to church. I've heard everything. And I was never truly saved. Amen. Such a sad reality, but we have people who are in that position, that this woman is as well. Hallelujah. For his God. So she's heard a lot of messages. A lot of people have attended many services faithfully, even served in church, but never truly heard the gospel. Many times in the body of Christ, we mind on the major and major on the minor. We teach everything of the most important thing. We teach the most important thing. We learn every other thing. We even do seminars on how to make money. I'm going to be very directing some parts of it. I'm not talking about anybody. I'm just being interactive. Amen. We do everything except the most important. We are so equipped and skilled in every teaching that exists. But the most important, we're not as effective in. So we see Christ is focusing on departing always. And if you're under the sound of my voice and you cannot give a definitive response to what the gospel is you're in the right place listen it was child's heart or heart Jesus who said the gospel is so simple that small children can understand it and it is so profound that stop me but the wisest theologians will never exhaust its riches did you hear that I think you should write that down the gospel is so simple that small children can understand it and it is so profound it's so simple that children can understand it and it is so profound that but that studied by the wisest theologians will never exhaust its riches and that's so true because some of us think we know it we've heard it all we've heard it all telling you this same message blows my mind every single time the gospel is so simple children can understand it it's so profound that study by the wisest theologians will never exhaust its riches Ephesians of the one and verse 15 Bible says in Ephesians 1 and verse 15 it says therefore I also after I head of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all these things will not cease to give thanks for you making mention of you in my prayer that the Lord that the God of our Lord Jesus by the Father of glory may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him this is powerful the apostle Paul is praying here and what is his prayer he says is praying for them and it's giving thanks for them that they walk that that God will give them what the spirit of wisdom and revelation and I've taught you time and again I've taught you before but even if you've never had me say it when he said it's good it's praying for God to give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation here it is not because there is a new spirit that's going to come into them because in a few verses before he already said there in Ephesians 1 and verse 13 I with your Bible it says in him you also when you head the world of truth the gospel of your salvation and believed him you were what sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise meaning that the believer receives the Holy Spirit when when you believe are you sure the believer receives the Holy Spirit when when you heard and believe the gospel you were sealed so what was he be praying about for the believer he's praying now that the believer will receive wisdom and revelation by that same spirit amen it's only a matter of speaking all right old English as the method of of speaking well things seem interchanged I get what I'm saying so he's saying that he will receive wisdom and revelation he's pray for them is that they grow is that they grow amen in the sense the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of his calling and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance so you are saved but it's praying for you to know the hope of your calling I use I listen to what I'm saying to know the riches of his inheritance in the sense so yes you are saved but there is a lot to know about that same message that same salvation message are you getting it he's praying that they know this is so important you know once a senior pastor I know told me a story he was invited to preach somewhere and so one of the people he invited him called him and said sir what are you coming to preach he said oh I'm coming to preach the gospel what else is that as we know it's we want deeper things he said do you know what if we go through what is in my church even everything they don't depend on for you I don't have anything deeper the gospel is preached to the unbeliever but what to the believer did you hear that it is what's preached to the unbeliever but what's taught to the believer same gospel that God you saved is the same gospel that will cost you too much amen same gospel that God you saved is what same gospel that will cost you listen all through Jesus's ministry he kept on teaching the same thing repent for the kingdom of God is at hand is it tell them the kingdom of God is nigh on to D is this come on to me all either the heavy lady and I would walk give you rest he was talking about the same thing are you with me he says if any man first let him come to me and drink he says he becomes an drink out of his belly shall flow at three miles of living water what that there was a metaphor for eternal life he kept on saying the same thing when he said come on to me all either the heavy lady now give me rest he was talking about salvation amen rest yeah was also talking about salvation the Bible tells us in Genesis that Jesus rested on the seventh day not because he was tired he was telling the story of a time when man was rest from his works are you guys what I'm saying he preached the same thing in the end he said going going to the world and preach he preached the same message their apostles in the epistles they preach the same message that same Jesus whom you crucified him at God raised up of which we are weaknesses because same message hallelujah same message yeah for support this beauty in synagogue this same message it's the same message that got them to match all hallelujah I think he let me not say anything about to say should I say I should not say I should just say I think it will be irresponsible for a person who has not fully even on the 220 extent the gospel explored it to be looking for departing hey with me because this was this is the example we see in scriptures this was what was started can I tell you something the whole of the Bible is a compendium of the plan provision announcement of salvation all of the Bible is talking about one thing salvation Jesus is the central theme of the Bible in the Old Testament we saw the plan God spoke he will chapter one tells you that God was speaking to them through the apostles and prophets what were they talking about from Genesis God had already been telling them of the plan of reconciliation you see the Passover it was a metaphor that did to Passover mankind won soon I get what I'm saying but the blood of the lamb what is the lamb the blood of the lamb on the wall how is he going to chase death away does the angel not know who I did you not know good it knows but he was trying to show you that it's not going to be by what you can't do it's going to be by the blood it was a feet go God was already telling them they were prophecies in the Old Testament it was showing you the plan amen came and a bell why was came sacrifice not accepted it's not because came did anything wrong is because God was showing you a pattern that the works of your hand which was what came to it will never get you see it will never get you to please God put the pattern of blood amen that was what God was showing you go forward you see prophecies Isaiah was telling them that the gesticements of the people will be upon Christ are you seeing this the plan new testament we see the provision in the gospels Jesus came he died in the epithels you see the announcements from act to begin to see them go everywhere preaching the same gospel you see the apostles writing to people to spread the message into central theme of the Bible is this same message what else I've been looking for is I listen to me it's the central theme and so when I begin to disciple any group of people the one thing you must be skilled on is this the gospel wake you up 3 a.m. in the morning you should be able to explain this to anyone that's that's getting a lot to do to say what the Bible is about preach this evangelism same message everywhere same message hallelujah same do you know as basic as it is people don't understand it people have different ideas on it as simple as it is hallelujah have you had people say that Jesus did not really die his face was just changed he could not have died you think people know it people don't people have a warp to pin yours about Christ hallelujah so you have to get it right you have to get it right if even if you don't know why you should get it right if you need I was born in Africa like I did, you probably heard of people who stand by the roadside and preach. And they preach condemnation not the gospel, even though the gospel is from the Greek or the one trillion, which means good news. What they preach is actually bad news to people here. I get what I'm saying, because they condemn them. I've heard someone preach and all the person who was saying is if you are wearing attachments hand, if you are wearing trousers and lady hair, just feel the one saying, is that the gospel? Amen. So it's one message you must get from. I'm taking all this time to emphasize the importance of this message so you know why you cannot get it. You cannot get it wrong. You should not. Amen. So to fully understand the gospel, you have to understand why it's needed in the first place. Three questions that can help you articulate these thoughts. Number one, why does man need to be saved? Number one is what? Number two, what does he need to be saved from? What is number two? And number three, what must man do to be saved? What is number three? What must man do to be saved? What are the three questions? Number one. Number two. Number three. And then these three questions help you articulate what salvation really is. Because we talk about being saved, being saved from what? Why does he need to be saved? And what must he do to be saved? First John chapter four. And we said, are you following me so far? First, I have a lot to teach you on this subject matter. So I just encourage you guys to show up. You know, be committed, be ready. Advice your notes, try and understand this as much as you can. What was first John chapter four as Ipsi? Can you read one to go? He says, he that love it not. No way not God does KJV. For God is love. What does NKJV say? He who does not love does not know God for what God is love. So the Bible is talking about the no epility of God. I hope that's a reward. But I think it's new book before. But it's how you can know God. He who does not love does not what? No God. For what? God is love. He's talking about knowing God. And one thing you must know. And he must think about this. If mankind is going to know God, God does to reveal himself to the one. Did you hear that? If mankind is going to know God, God has to what? Reveal himself to man. Think about it. He's really just intruder today. Can you just because you want to? Sorry, just intruder is the prime minister of Canada. Just I know. But if I don't know. If you want to meet him today, do you know? They should move your immigration. You don't know. You want to stay in this country? I would joke. But if you want to meet him today, can you do it just by requesting? Like sending me DM, right? Mara, what do you think? Would he walk? The only way you would meet him is if he allows it. Same way with God. The only way mankind know God is what if God reveals himself to man? Amen. And God has chosen to reveal himself to mankind in many ways. First of all, there's general revelation. It was general revelation. From the things we can see and we can perceive. We can know that there's a creator. Intelligent design is proof of an intelligent designer. God has given you all of these things. That's when you see you might know that there's a creator God. But not just general revelation. There's also special revelation. Where God chose to reveal himself by speaking to specific people. By giving specific people signs. And the Bible is a leader with such examples. And so as we begin to look at the Bible, we can begin to understand who God is. What he is like based on how we revealed himself to mankind. And the Bible reveals God to us. He has loved John chapter 3 and 16, which is where the 316 comes from. Is this for God so loved the world that what? He gave his only begotten son. That who so ever believe in him should not perish but have what? Everlast in life. So I'm going to be reading a few texts in KJV. All right, because I took a few excerpts from when I built the notes of KJV, then teach Bonaise started using NKJV just because it's clearer to understand. So that's why I bought. If I use KJVS, I'm sorry about that you can read it in NKJV, all right? You can read it in KJV instead of KJV, all right? So he says who so ever believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life. So he says this is how we descend the love of God. Now, he says for God so loved the world that he gave. Now, when he says for God so loved the world, he wasn't actually talking about the intensity of God's love for man, even though God loves man with such an intensity, with a great intensity. But no, he wasn't actually talking about the intensity. He was actually talking about something else. He was saying for God so loved the world, for God in this manner, the great one there is Huto, H-O-U-T-O. And what Huto means is in this way. So so there doesn't mean for God so loved the world. He actually means for God by doing this. In this manner, love the world. Does that make sense to everybody? Is anybody lost? It's almost like saying this aligned in this manner proved that she loves you. God by doing this proved that you know. So when he says for God so loved the world, he gave his only means that in giving his only because his son he proved that he loves us. I see what I'm saying. So we see one of the attributes of God as what's love. Why? We saw his action. So love is an attribute of God. God is love. So number one, I'm going to explain some attributes of God. Number one, one of the attributes of God is love. Number two, another attribute of God is that he is merciful. How do we know this? Efficient chapter two verse four. The Bible says, "But God who is rich in mercy because of his great love, he loves her again." Even when we're dead in trespasses, he has what made us alive. Together with Christ by grace you are saved and raised us up together, made us to sit together in heavenly physical Christ. There's seven, I want everybody to read there's seven together. I want to go that in the ages to come, he might show the exceeding reaches of his grace and kindness towards us in Christ. So he sees Paul, Paul says that God is what's rich in mercy. We can see because of what he did. He's rich. Title three verse five. Are you learning something? What are the Bible saying? Title chapter three verse five. He says, "Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us." So how do we know God is merciful because of what he did in Salvation? Are you seeing that? We see a lot of attribute of God the Bible testifies to the mercy of God. Another attribute of God will talk about is that God is holy. He's like, "No, yeah, I mean. " Give me time to read. That's fine. Are you done? All right, God is what? Holy. And one thing he was learned when you do Bible study, I'm just going to teach you about this, is that there's a principle. 'Til the Bible was called the Law of First Mansion' and the Law of First Mansion states that the way you see a word used in the Bible dictates how it is used through the rest of the Bible. So the way you see it's used the first time in the Bible dictates its meaning on to the rest of the scriptures. Amen. Listen, one thing you should know on tradition of form is that biblical words must always be understood in the context of the Bible. Don't make the mistake of using the dictionary to interpret biblical words. I will give you an example. The English dictionary would define hope as what's an expectation or a desire for something which may or may not happen, right? Something that you are desiring to happen even if the chance don't look like you happen. But biblical hope is different. Have you noticed? When the Bible uses hope, it talks about something you are sure of. Biblical hope is more akin to assurance. So you have to be careful not to use dictionary interpretation to understand biblical terms. Same way with the word holy. Dictionary interpretation of holy is what? Morale of brightness, right? But Biblical is not the same. So let's use that principle. Did you get the principle I told you about? The principle of first mention what's it? That the first time any word is used. The first way word is used in Scripture dictates how it should be understood for the rest of Scripture. So let's look at the first place that the word holy was used in the Bible. So search holy in your Bible. Search holy. So when I say pastor, I thought you said we should come in physical. But I wouldn't have searched. I wouldn't have searched for holy. If you wake up, you bring boots. You should see. This one I was a physical wherever. This one. You know I'm recording this. I wouldn't know your name today. All right. So let's search holy. Are you there? All right. What's the first place you see holy used? Genesis. This is not where you live. Where's the holy used? All right. Where's the first? X to the three five. What does it say? That's how do you search? Okay. So the first place is actually X to the three five. Like he said. And this is the Bible says this. Then he said do not run near it. Please stick your standards off your feet. For the place where you stand is what? Holy ground. Now the question is this. Your interpretation might be moral uprightness. But what did the ground do to be holy? But is that moral uprightness? Can't be morally upright. Can the ground be far from sin? What's the second place? Exodus 1216. What does it say? There shall be a holy what? Convocation. So this begins to help you see that the word holy is beyond moral uprightness. Are you getting this? It's beyond what? Moral uprightness. Holy, publicly actually means something that is set apart. So that ground was holy not because of what the ground can do. But because the presence of the Lord was the voice of the Lord came out of that. Are you listening to me? Are you getting it? The day was holy why? Because it was set apart. For God. Are you getting it? Now this is not what I want to teach, but now think about it. A man will be holy not because of what he can do as well. But because what? He set apart. Is this clear? Now just for balance sake, this is not what I want to teach. But then there is that moral uprightness that comes as a result of being set apart. That is a result of being set apart. I get it now. Amen. Now let's go and see the explanation I was giving. So when we say God is holy, it is talking about the transcendent nature of God, the sacred nature of God. The fact that God is set apart, God is reverent, He is divine. It means He is in a class of His own. Do you know what I'm saying? He separates. He is talking about His orderless. The fact that He is on like any other being. He is talking about His infinite perfection. He also refers to the moral qualities of God as being separate from evil. Always perfect. His standard is perfection. Besides this we cannot come close. You see this visible in the Old Testament's worship. The high priest would not enter into the most holy place without a ritual killing of the lamb. I hear something. The white holy was used to describe the tabernacles, parts of the temple. You know, they are the holy place. They are the most holy place. It was separate. It was sacred. It was set apart. So a good metaphor to understand this is the song. The song is unique. It's in a class of His own. It separates. But guess what? If you come to close, you're born. That's a paradox. Something that is so good from afar. When you come to close, it's harmful. And the same paradox also exists with God. Because He is so transcendent, so big, so unique, so great. He can't allow sin closings. He is infinitely perfect. Are you getting it? As great as He is, as good as He is, as perfect as He is. You see that paradox? You see that same paradox with Moses in the Old Testament. Are you with me? When He comes to far, God presents His toll to take off what He sent us. Because where He's standing is sacred. It's not to come any closer. The most holy place is such a good place. Yeah, then He priests that end us without washing. Nice. Are you getting the points? It's talking about God's infinite perfection. Such a good God. Yet there's a paradox where when you come in with sin, you can't stand it. You can't stand in that presence. And when you understand it, you understand why sin is a problem. Are you getting it now? You begin to see why sin is a problem. What is sin? Sin is any failure to confront the moral law of God in act and attitude in nature. The word sin means to miss the mark. The moment the first man fell and dead entered into the water and rained in him. It caused this separation because of God's ultimate perfection. It's infinite perfection. How great He is. How good He is. Are you getting the point? A lot of people don't understand it. Why is God such a good God? Yet He's sending His children to help. This is the reason God is perfect. He sin can't drive where He is. Amen. Is the song good? Yes. What way you go to pose what happens? You don't know. You don't know. Go. Amen. So when you begin to understand the attribute of God as holy you can understand that He can't have sin. If I were to ask everyone here for salvation if you consider yourself a good person, I don't believe when you begin to look back. But I didn't know anything but recently. If we begin to count, I don't know what will last up to three days back when you count when you did anything. Oh yeah. Do you want to try? I'll ask you what you know in the consciously or consciously taught in your imagination. You're with. 'Til last week in last week, you have three days without doing it but 'You look so like your mind are like 'What's wrong with you?' 'So three days in the past three days, you don't do that to anybody' 'So you don't do anybody in the last three days' 'No, I just give you an example of 'but' now' 'You don't remember, what do you think you have?' 'Anyways, listen, I said a lot of that to bring it to the point 'To see that if this exists, you can understand why there is a problem' 'When Adam's scene, mankind fell, seen in that into the world, dead, entered into the world as well' 'And that turned upon mankind, Adam fell and that spiritually mankind was separated from God' 'So the problem is not that God wants to remove mankind from his poop' 'Is that. ' 'He can't. ' 'Are you getting the point? Is this making sense?' 'He can't even. ' 'The fact that we are still a communication with God now' 'Had to be because of something he did' 'I'm telling you. ' 'I'm such a beautiful person, I remember when I was a student' 'We did the concept, we called it 'Proposal of love' 'We have to be by a proposal that you could have come back' 'I get what I'm saying, we have to be by an invitation that you could come back' 'They trained only that people on all of this offspring' 'People might be like 'Oh, and I'm going to see this here because there's a lot of question' 'There are two ideas people have when it comes to this' 'And I'll give you the responses that follow' 'Some people say that why do I have to suffer when I was not there?' 'Some theology would say if you were there, if you were in the assures you would have done this thing' 'We never can't tell' 'Are you in me?' 'That was why they were too, male and female' 'So in whichever way you might have' 'Some people say, 'Oh, no, you can't be so sure, maybe, maybe not' 'But some of that theology responds' 'And say, even today you are still held responsible for your actions' 'So the truth is this, even though that rain from Adam down to you and you were guilty before' 'The consequence of their sin doesn't fall on you in that sense until you yourself act on the propensities' 'So you are still responsible for your sin, do you understand what I'm saying?' 'You're still responsible' 'In the end, because I know and I'm still going to answer the question' 'People are going to ask me how about newborn babies, how about people who cannot make mental decisions for themselves in this situation?' 'How do we say that the propensities fell from Adam upon them?' 'They were not in the garden, why they've been punished for it?' 'You are not actually being punished for the sin of Adam and Eve' 'In the end, you are punished for acting on the propensities to see which existed because of what it did' 'I get what I'm saying' 'So in the end, if you never act on the propensities you have been sinned' 'I get what I'm saying' 'That's where I'm going to' 'Because of everything we are born to and truly understand what they mean' 'But you are born with the propensities to see' 'Yes, without Christ you are condemned already but here is the truth about it' 'Everyone would ultimately act on the propensities' 'So in that case, you are born sinners but not in the way that God just said' 'You know what you are?' 'You are born with the propensities to see what you would definitely act upon it' 'Let's put it like this' 'When we say that some people say that 'Oh God, you never give me a chance' 'But let the fact is this' 'The propensities would ultimately lead you to sin' 'But we are also saying' 'That you should not now say it was God that cost you to sin' 'Because you are responsible for your actions' 'Do you understand?' 'Did he?' 'Did he?' 'That's what I'm going to discuss today' 'When I had the Christology, we were talking about that' 'Even' 'I'm loving it' 'Who asked those questions?' 'When you say what about the newborn babies' 'First of all, we trust that God is a just church' 'All right?' 'Christ God is a just church' 'He would judge them' 'We trust Him to judge rightly' 'I get what I'm saying' 'If they die at birth' 'Because without Christ it's hell actually' 'But then we trust that God is a just church' 'To judge them rightly' 'So I don't believe they are going to hell' 'But the Bible is not as clear' 'On that to say this is the reward of newborn babies' 'But from what we can put together' 'From scriptures and God' 'No. 1, we trust the children' 'No. 2, which we have never acted on the Popeye' 'So soon' 'Clear?' 'Okay, let me take it, sin' 'Okay, so it depends on how those words mean to you' 'All right, the nature of sin' 'And the act of sin' 'I think it's the same thing like I said' 'The nature of sin' 'is that you were born with the propensity to sin' 'The act of sin' 'is that you actually acted on that produce' 'Olless you have a different definition in your mind' 'All right?' 'But what I'm sure to tell you is that' 'Don't turn around and say that' 'Maybe we're not born sin' 'We're not born sin' 'We're not born sin' 'We're not born sin' 'We're not born sin' 'All right?' 'All right?' 'All right?' 'All right?' 'All right?' 'All right?' 'All right?' Wow, so God is revealing Himself, but He starts by saying, merciful and gracious, long suffering and abondance in goodness and what? And truth, keeping what? Keeping mercy for thousands, for giving what? This is wonderful, isn't it? The same breath. Like, if you listen to God, you're like, what the hell is happening, Lord? Lord, what's going on? I thought you said your mercy for your long suffering. Keeping mercy for thousands. In the same breath, this is by no means clarity guilty. Visiting the Iniquity of the Father's Report. Are we reading the same Bible? Are you guys see what I'm saying? That's why I'm like, what's going on here? Are you guys seeing it? So which are you learnt? Are you merciful and gracious? Are you long suffering? Are you visiting iniquity? Abondance and abominance, clarity guilty? Which are you also the same contradictory? It sounds contradictory, right? But this is God. Even the poor generation. Hear me. How is it possible? It's possible because God is just. And I'll explain. A lot of people don't want to hear this. But God is their respondent for sin. There's a reward for evil. And God declares it as his nature. Are you with me? Wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a "and outside of him will still come and still put ease." Amen, policing. What we don't see is that it will be a problem if God is not just. Let me give you an analogy. If you wrote an exam, let me just give you one that is easier to understand. If you were in school and there's a punishment for coming to school late, and you must get to school at 9 a.m. every morning. And then you get to school at 9.10. And then you are told to stand aside so that the punishment might be given to you. And then the principal's daughter comes at 9.20 and she strolls in. Would you be fine with that? That's nice. But then would you say the principal who is giving a punishment? Would you say he is just? Would you say he is good? But if he polishes, how would you say he is good? Meaning we attribute goodness with justice. Meaning that if God lets sinners go unponished, you are the same person that would say he is not a good God. But now he is punishing sinners. People say how can a good God be punishing sins? We attribute goodness with justice. God is just because he is good. Amen. Have you seen people praying that God will punish their enemies? You know God will intervene and kill the person that stole from their house? And yet they don't understand that God punishes the person who has to punish them for stealing meat from the mother's clothes. Are you understanding what I am saying? You have to see God as just all around. He is just meaning he has to punish sin. He is holy. And so when you break and meet that mark, the job side of God has to punish sin. Please are you getting this? The job side of God has to what? He has to punish sin. Even if he is son. Amen. And so the justice of God is what begins to show you. It's not a contradiction that he is loving and merciful boy is also just. The justice of God does not cancel his mercy. So for God to be just he has to punish all types of sin. Justice means giving the right and very word to people for their actions. All of mankind is guilty before God. And God has to punish sin. The reward of sin is dead. So all of mankind is destined to die. Amen. Amen. Listen, the justice of God is real. The Bible is replete with it. Isaiah chapter 24, verse 21 to 23, Read it to your spare time. Isaiah chapter 14 to 18. Isaiah chapter 13, let me take it again. Isaiah chapter 13, I was rushing you to the right. Isaiah chapter 34. And verse 21 to 23. Isaiah chapter 24. From verse 21 to 23. Isaiah chapter 13 from verse 9 to 11. Jeremiah chapter 46. And verse 10. All of these texts have wanted in common. They prophesy about the day of the Lord. They talk about the day. I'll just read one of them. Jeremiah chapter 46. He says, "For this is the day of the Lord God of those." They do vengeance. That he may avenge him of his adversaries. Let's watch out. Be satiate and make drunk with your blood. For the Lord God of those that sacrificed in the North country by the river of the inferred. So it describes the day of punishments. Are you with me? A day of punishments. Amen. So how do we reconcile all these attributes of God? When you begin to understand, you would appreciate what I like to call the genius of God. Say the genius of God. And you would understand why when they were killing Jesus, they thought they were willing, but they didn't know they were fulfilling God's plan. It's the genius of God. First Corinthians chapter 2 verse 6. He says, "However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature. Yet not the wisdom of this age, not the rulers of this age. Who are common? But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery. Not the wisdom which God ordained before the ages for a glory. Which none of the rulers of this age knew. For if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Amen. They did not know what God was doing. And that's what I want to explain to you. Romans 3.23 says, "For all I've seen, that comes from the glory of God." Not just that we've seen. We are born with the propensity to see. Amen. Dead past upon all men. For what does the next verse see? In Romans chapter 3 verse 23 everybody. The preachers on this street might shout, "All I've seen, you are going to hell." But it does not end there. Romans 3.23, are you all there? Next verse 24, what does he say? "Being justified freely by what? He's grace." So yes, all I've seen. But remember, God is not just a holy God. He's also a loving God. He's also a merciful God. And these attributes can't stay together. So all I've seen but what? We are justified freely. Romans chapter 6 verse 23 is popular. You heard it. When they preach to you, the wages of sin is dead. It doesn't end there. When they say it's a bots. Because there's a bots. What's the bots they're saying? Is it the wages of sin is dead bots? The gift of God is what? Eternal life. True. True Christ. So that is the justice for our action. The reward for our sin. But there's something else. I'll give you one last analogy to help you understand what God did for you. You've seen how serious sin is and how much of a problem sin is. We're not giving you the makeshift gospel that says sin is terrible. It is bad. It can't stand before God. And there's punishment for sin. I'll give you an analogy of it, George. 'Who has to be just? Who has to declare justice on people?' So one day this judge is calling out cases and meeting the justice of the law on them and then the clerk calls the next person in and guess what? Who was his son? Now the judge isn't only a judge in the court. He's a judge at home. He's what? A father. Now his son comes before him to let his son go free for his sin who would make him on justice and will make him bad. What would you advise him to do? Let's go dilemma. That's a magic. It's an ethical dilemma Trinity. What would you do? Well guess what? Because he's good and he's just. He doesn't stop him from being a father. So what did he do? He gave the son the required punishment. He was to pay fine. But after saying you know what you're going to pay fine of five million? At the end he takes off his cloak and goes out and writes a check of five million and he pays it for his son. The two attributes are not in contradiction. Are you guessing it? They are not because he's a judge yet. He's still a father. And that's what God is. He's just, but he's still good. He's just, but he's still merciful. And so he's dating. He's God. But because of you because of novices, you know what? I'm going to step down. I'm going to die their dance. I'm going to become a man for their sake. It must have been the hardest thing for him to do. You know, what God did? They did becoming humanity. It's compared to a human becoming a man. God's even for hours. But he did it because he loved. He did it because of love. He did it because he loved you. So he came. He came to this earth. And if theologians call something substitutionary atonement or penance of substitution, what does it mean? It means that someone comes and takes your place as a substitute. Amen. So what Jesus did was that God came to this earth in the incarnation as a man. And then he died as a substitute. Amen. The death that was meant for us, the punishment. The death that we owed, he paid it on our behalf. And someone says, oh, why is it necessary? Listen, I'll give you another analogy. Listen, I like to use an analogy. It helps you understand this, right? Imagine everybody in a class is carrying something on their back that is not helping them stand straight. You can't help the next person remove his own because you can't stand straight to remove his own luggage as well. Whoever is coming to remove the luggage has to be someone who does not have a luggage on his back. Man could not help himself. And so God was the only one who could help man. God was the only one who could help man. God was the only one who could save man. And so he came. And that's why he had to come to a venue. Why? Because if he had come to the scene of Adam, he would have carried the propensity. He would have carried the propensity. I've been a sinner here to be born of a virgin. Biologically, the man is the one who produces the things that fund the blood vessels in the child that fertilizes the egg. So life comes through the man. So the nature of sin would have passed down if he was born through him. And that's why he was born by the power of the Holy Ghost. And so he came as a man. He died. He suffered. He took her place. He took the scene of everybody upon himself. As long as like, what's the logic of that? Why is it not just taking on one person? How can it take off everybody and be a substitute? It is because propensity, the propensity of sin came upon everyone because of one man. It is only fitting that the salvation of everybody will come by one man. Do you see the logic? Do you get it? If by one man, the Bible says if by one man, sin ends at the end of the world, by one man also. Are you getting it? So God knew what he was doing. So in killing him, they thought they were women. They didn't know they were fulfilling God's plan. He was to be a substitute. Hallelujah. And so when the Bible begins to, I read three texts and then we round up, three texts you should not forget. Verse John chapter 3 and verse 16, which is a perfect rendition or replica of John chapter 3 verse 16. The Bible says, by this we know love. He says because he laid down his life for us. This is me or also also laid down our life for the prayer. So how do we know love? By what God did. And if there was anyone who was down to it, you see God's love for mankind in the fact that God gave his life. John chapter 10 and verse 7, the Bible says, then Jesus said to them again, most assuredly I said to you. And the door of the ship and the good shepherd, verse 11, the good shepherd gives his life for the ship. Did you hear that? Read verse 11, everybody want to go. Alright, let's read it out. You guys did not open it. John chapter 10 and verse 11. It's powerful. Want to go? Yes. Never forget it. Jesus is on the good shepherd, a good shepherd lays his life for the ship. Jesus gave his life for you. Amen. He gave his life for you. It's so powerful. Listen, this is the most important thing. John chapter 15 and verse 13, John chapter 15 and verse 13. What does the Bible say? Great download has no one that is done to lay one's life for his friends. That's your God. Say that's my God. Say that's my God. The Bible says, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live. But Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in. In the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself with me. All that Christ asked of you today is because he has given you a new life. I get what I'm saying because your life will leave you. It's all yours and all. Can someone die for you and you got people here? Jesus has given it. It's the greatest news on this earth. Then John chapter 3 verse 16. For God so loved the world that he gave his only big God in the song. And whoever does what believes should not perish. But have what we're going to unpack the rest of it. But the most important thing to see today is that God loved the world. God loves you and he died for you. Say God loves me and he died for me. And I'll be forever grateful for this love. If you're grateful begin to thank the Lord for salvation. Begin to thank Him for giving his life for you. It's the biggest news in the world. It's good news. It's the best message in the world that you who were helpless, you who were without help in this world. You who had a lot of debts. Someone came and paid it all. Someone came and paid it all.

Summary:

FAQs

The gospel is the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, which is essential for being a true Christian. It's simple enough for children to understand yet profound enough that even the wisest theologians can never fully exhaust its depth.

Many Christians have attended church regularly but never truly heard or believed the gospel. They may have focused on secondary teachings or activities, missing the core message of salvation.

The three questions are: Why does man need to be saved? What does he need to be saved from? And what must he do to be saved? These questions clarify the nature and purpose of salvation.

God reveals Himself through both general revelation—seen in creation—and special revelation—through Scripture, prophets, and direct encounters. The Bible is the primary source of His self-disclosure.

God's holiness means He is set apart, transcendent, and perfectly pure—so distinct from sin that He cannot be in communion with it. This explains why sin causes separation from God.

God is both just and merciful because He must punish sin (justice) while also offering salvation (mercy). These attributes are not contradictory; they are unified in His perfect character.
