#155 - They said, "Talk about whatever you want." Ok bet

In this episode of Smosh Mouth, Shane hosts Olivia and Spencer while Amanda is away in Boston. Olivia shares her thrilling experience at the World Cup in Philadelphia, where she was chosen as a stadium captain to place the match ball, even joking about sabotaging it. The conversation shifts to controversial topics like insider trading and gambling apps, with the trio humorously admitting they understand the appeal of white-collar crime, though Spencer warns against it. They then discuss the pitfalls of social media, with Olivia describing her recent digital detox at Sea Ranch, where she found clarity and creativity through boredom. Spencer and Shane reflect on how algorithms create echo chambers and how constant validation or outrage can be unhealthy, though Spencer notes he still finds inspiration online. The group also chats about reading, praising books like "East of Eden" and "Frankenstein," and share quirky habits like microwaving ice cream or preferring scalding hot food. Fast food orders become a lively topic, with Spencer loving new items, Olivia sticking to chicken, and Shane ordering five crunchy tacos. They reminisce about malls and plan a friend date at the Arcadia Mall, joking about skipping Boston. The episode wraps with lighthearted banter about past games and a playful desire to perform an axe kick.

Hello. Welcome to Smosh Mouth. I'm Shane. And today I'm joined by two wonderful guests. I'm joined by Olivia and Spencer. What's up? What's up? That's right. That's right. Amanda's gone. She's gone. Sorry. I'm so sorry. I should stop. What are you doing? It's so immature. Just mocking me immediately? No. Just immediately making fun of me? Yeah. So Amanda's gone for this week and next week because she's in Boston. She's shipped off to Boston. I'm so excited to go to the town. Yeah. We're about to go to Boston tomorrow. Yeah. We're recording this. By the time this airs, we'll be back. We're doing our last tour dates, but we're heading to Boston tomorrow. I've never been to Boston. With me. Yeah. Have you ever been to Boston before? I don't think so. I get Boston and Philly kind of confused. I've never been to. Oh, you just went to Philly. I did just go to Philly. And now I know. I know where they are. Can we ask about that Philly experience? That was crazy. What was Philly like? Philly was incredible. All I know about Philly is we had the basement yard on recently and they said it's a bathroom, so. I have no idea what you just said. They're two guys that we're friends with. Oh, and they're from Philly. They're from Brooklyn or from New York. What are you. We're talking about Philly right now. I know, but they just said they think Philly is a bathroom. So I'm like, that's the only. Philly is really cool. Okay. I went to Philly because I went to the World Cup. Whoa. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I saw the footage of that. You were on the field, dude. I know. Yeah. I was a stadium captain. Who were the teams that were playing? Paraguay and. Was it France? France. That's awesome, dude. Mbappe. You got to be out there with Mbappe. I did. So cool. Sick, dude. So the experience was I went with my very good friend, Esty, and we went with Adidas. And sort of our dream was to take our dads to the World Cup. And so they're like, would you like. Well, Esty was like, let's go to the one on July 4th. Like, could be really fun. So we go to Philly. And then like two hours before the game, someone texted us and was like, crazy ass. It was Mbappe. Crazy ass. It was FIFA. It was Mr. FIFA. Mr. FIFA texted us and was like, crazy question. Would you guys want to be the stadium captains for this match? And we're like, we don't know what that is. I don't know what soccer is. Sorry, football. I don't know what this is. And they sent us a photo of like Samuel L. Jackson putting a ball on a stand. He's just like me for real. And he was like, that's. I was like. They sent us a photo from Samuel L. Jackson from Black Snake Bone. And they're like, have you ever seen this movie? Have you seen this movie? And you're like, yeah, it was pretty crazy. Yeah, it was a weird movie. So I was like, okay, sold. And then I was like, great. And then we just had like. They're like, FIFA was like walking us out. And they're like, you have 60 seconds to put the ball on the thing. And we're like, what? What is the significance? And they're like, well, this is the ball that they're going to play with. I was like, okay, that's pretty sick. And then so we like. Did you like f*** with it at all? Yeah, like. Put some pine tar on it? Yeah. I like buttered it up. Yeah. Yeah, you buttered it up. I like poked holes in it. Yeah. And that's why Paraguay lost. No, I'm just kidding. I didn't do. I didn't do that. I don't know, FIFA, if you're listening. FIFA's going to come for you. No, no, I didn't do any of that. This is. You're fine. Both of those teams, by the time we're recording this, both those teams are out. Like, I feel like you would have licked it or something. Licked it? Yeah. Because then Mbappe would have licked it later. Yeah. So it's like. Oh, because they all lick the balls after the game. I think it's part of the. At least France does that. I don't know. But yeah, it was really fun. And then, yeah. That's awesome. Did you guys get into the World Cup? It's not over right now as we're recording this, but. It was like me, personally. Like, no, I was not invited. Well, no, like, did you watch. I'm saying, did you watch the game? Yeah, I watched it enough. Well, I'm a DoorDash member, so, like, you know, they were like, hey, who do you want to bet on? Oh, right. In the DoorDash app. They gave you that. What? What? So I Googled. I was like, who's going to win the World Cup? And Google was like, probably France. So I bet France. Sorry, sorry. DoorDash, the food delivery app? DoorDash, the food delivery. When you signed in, it was like, hey, pick your team to win the World Cup, and we're going to split five million DoorDash bucks amongst everyone who picked that team. Is that illegal? I don't know. Every single app is becoming a gambling app at this point. And, like, you know, if it comes, like, you know, what if we got into it? Timothee Chalamet said it's okay. Timothee Chalamet says gambling is cool now. I don't know if I told this story, like, but, you know, when everyone's like, oh, the, you know, Timothee Chalamet did the ad for, like, the Kalshi thing, or Kalshi app. I was like, I genuinely, I was like, I don't get what the big deal is. Like, the cereal's okay. And, like, I fully thought that, like, people were, like, I was like, is there, like, a, controversy with that cereal? That's so funny. Have you had Kalshi Crunch? Yeah. Yeah. No, it's, like, Kashi. Kashi. Yeah. Okay, yeah. I just. You thought, I, I, I thought it, too. It sounds like a cereal. I was like, yeah, it's the cereal. Yeah. Timothee Chalamet, like, you know. I don't know what's going on. I've been off of social media this whole week. You're totally fine. This has been years of buildup, right? Like, gambling apps have just gotten out of control. And you can now gamble on things you shouldn't be able to gamble on, right? Like, political. Like, political shit. And then, um, uh, Love Island was on this. And there was so much gambling around that. And people were like, hey, wait, like, there are producers who know info ahead of time. Oh, yeah. How is this working? Yeah. No, I love people reinventing insider trading. Yeah, I'm just like. Polly markets. Yeah. Yeah, it's ridiculous. The markets are Polly. The markets are all Polly. Yeah. Uh, no, but, like, that, do you guys remember when Martha Stewart got arrested and stuff like that? What did she get arrested for again? Was it not insider trading? It was insider trading. Oh. But, like, I remember. I remember insider trading being explained to me at the time. And I was like, and I was like, that sounds smart as hell. Like, why aren't more people doing this? And then I was explained to me, they were like, well, it's a crime. And I was like, okay, like, okay. It's kind of like the more you learn about tax evasion, it's kind of like, oh, I, I kind of get why. Oh, that sounds really cool. Like, people do it. And, and money laundering, too. Yeah, yeah, like. Like, I get it. I'm starting to, I'm, like, starting to get white collar crime more. I love that Selena, Selena, before we started this episode, was like, so, basically, this episode, you guys can talk about whatever you want. And we got into how we love insider trading. We don't love it. I didn't say we, I, we understand it. No, you love money laundering. I'm just saying, if I were in the position to insider trade, like, I would think about it. Like, would you guys not? I, I get what you're saying. It's like, you, you basically get the, like, it's kind of a deal with the devil situation where it's like, hey, do you want a, a million dollars? Yeah, it's like, it's. It's like, oh, well, if I could have a million dollars right now, sure. Yeah, it's like. It must feel, I, I bet for people who are in it. It feels good to sell the insider trade. It must feel so good. But it also must be like, to them, they make it make sense in their head. Oh, yeah. Of like, oh. I'm already doing. Oh, no, it's just, it's just that I, I, they probably convince themselves, like, no, I'm just good at predicting the market. Yeah, I'm so good. No, man. It's like, what my friend tells me. You literally. Yeah. I'm saying, like, on the scale of crime, though, probably not that bad. And that's why they. I don't know. Go to. Those things, those, those massive, like, white collar things, actually, I think fuck the world up so much more. Yeah, true. But like, if I were benefiting from it. It's like, it's. The problem is that it doesn't look like. It doesn't look like a guy actively killing a guy. Yeah. But you're, you are theoretically robbing. You're, like, fucking up the market so much that you are robbing people and. I guess. Yeah. We're, like, convincing him that it's not. No, Spencer, you really shouldn't be insider trading. Okay, let's be a bummer about it. Yeah. Yeah. It'd be kind of. What if we started to see that there were bets for Smosh? Like, that's what I'm saying. Would you not, like. It'd be. It'd be like, Shane's going to lose. Flip seven. It's like. And I get so close to flipping seven. I'm like. But I bet 50 grand on myself. That's what I'm saying. You're talking about, like, going on. And, like, back in the day when the mafia used to fix boxing matches. Yes. Oh, yeah. It's like, go down in the fifth. I'm trying to think. There were other, like, matches that people were. Oh. Getting in trouble for. Everything. Everything. Like. Every, every, almost every professional sport has had moments where it was fully fixed. There was a major. You ever seen Speed Racer? I don't know if I have Scott here. But there was a big one back in the day. In the, like, 20s, I think. One of the, like, big baseball teams, like, fixed their, one of their matches. And it was, like, a big deal. Or, like, they, like, lost on purpose or something. Maybe I'm completely wrong. No, no. I think you're right. I did hear about baseball being one of those sports where people were, like, the baseball players would. Yeah. Be involved in the mafia. Oh, sure. Right? Am I making this up? Back in the 20s, my assumption is every famous person, you had to deal with the mafia. And that's, that's something I could probably research and find out is probably not true. But I won't. But I. I enjoy thinking about how crazy the world was in the 20s. I mean, you talk, well, you talk about, like, Vegas. I think, like, even past the 20s. But, like, you know, the history of Vegas, the history, like, the early history of Los Angeles, like, with the water and stuff like that. Like, the water rackets. I don't know much about the water rackets. Have you seen Chinatown? Yeah. I have not watched Chinatown. You got to read the book about Chinatown. Oh, shit. One of my favorite books. Okay. What's it called? Big Goodbye. Big Goodbye? Big Goodbye. Yeah. Oh. It's about the making of Chinatown. Wow. I always forget. Is it the last goodbye or the big goodbye? I don't know. It's one of them. And I love the book so much. Also, I'm reading East of Eden right now. Speaking of. Steinbeck. I have had that book on my bookshelf truly my entire adult life, and I've never read it. What? I've read Grapes of Wrath. Shane has it for when he has women over. Yeah. Whenever people are over, I'm like, oh, yeah, I'm reading East of Eden. No, but people constantly have that in their top three. I know it's incredible. It's like about the early people who moved to California. Yeah. Yeah. No, Steinbeck's incredible. It's incredible. I love his writing I just haven't read that one because it's a big book it's a bit of a daunting it is a big book but I'm like I'm not ready for it to be over I just know this is going to be one of the books where I'm like I'm never going to read another book like this it consistently is like people are like that is a top 10 book of all time that's how I felt about Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow and was it was I left I I don't cry too often with books especially if they're not like not for some reason it has to be like narratived in a way to get me whereas on earth were briefly gorgeous is written so like poetically where it bounces back and forth between memories that it doesn't it's not gonna get me in that way but I was kind of more mesmerized by how good the writing was and how perfectly he was capturing moments he's a prose guy I mean truly some books I read I'm like the prose is just amazing yeah whereas I story will get my emotions more prose I'm more like oh that's this is amazing like I'm kind of like fascinated by like how smart some people can write like how well they write whereas yeah it has to like have a story with like the right type of arc will then get me tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow left me sobbing yeah that part has that that has an intense it has the prose but mostly story yeah it has one of my favorite quotes which is the Emily Dickinson quote about that love is all that there is love is love is love is like the freight should be I'm sure I know it should be Selina can you pull up Emily Dickinson famous quote Elle Fanning as Emily Dickinson yeah like thank you wait was she Emily Dickinson no she was a she played Mary Shelley that's my bad Mary Shelley I think Elle Fanning played Mary Shelley oh cool she's been she does a lot she does so much stuff the freight should be yes yeah the freight should be proportioned to the groove I love that what is that what is that great love is like like cargo yeah mm-hmm love is cargo man love is cargo cargo fast cargo fast cargo fast gone in 60 seconds yes um yeah no that book is incredible I'm reading this book about a you know this parasite that kind of takes over human bodies and you know can kind of replicate there it's like an old sci-fi book I want to say it's Philip K Dick or something like that nice it might be Heinlein I don't know you read a lot of messed up shit yeah I feel like whenever you're reading like concepts I'm like a concepts I need like a good log line where it's like oh it's about if like if like there was a group of people who figured out how to use their feet for evil or something like that yeah you can write that I feel like you could write a book yeah oh I love like genre like you know I need I need a hook like that yeah I don't use for like like if you're like if you say slice of life I'm like okay what's the like slicing into life with a knife you are a big sci-fi guy I feel like when you're talking about reading like yeah sci-fi and horror like because you love Frankenstein the book oh like you were obsessed with that book I feel like oh yeah should I read Frankenstein it's an incredible book prose store story both I think it's one of the greatest stories ever told it is incredible and it is like it's the creation of side you're gonna catch me reading that on the plane tomorrow it's good it's got it's got great yeah and like pros on pros on point okay yeah no Mary Shelley Mary Shelley was a freak she kept her lover's heart in her desk for like years right I don't know I'm a that's true can we could fact check on that I'll be doing bullshit like she had like a human heart in her desk that was like her stress ball what I'm just kidding that never not about that part but she had a human heart in her desk I think honestly romance yeah a heart can calcify what's that like does it get like chalky this gets smelly oh I imagine I saw a coyote carcass yesterday oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh I this is the thing that I was supposed to save and not okay I tell you this hit us and this is what Selena was like save it save it and I'm like but I'm just talking to spenny she's like save it okay so the past week I was in this place called Sea Ranch Sea Ranch Sea Ranch up north okay I flew into Sonoma I rented a car and I drove like an hour and 40 minutes to this place called Sea Ranch and I just spent a few days there not on social media just sort of abandoned my phone cool and I walked a lot meditated reading worked a little bit and that was what I was saving to tell you guys that she's been offline I've been offline and so I was like looking at Instagram through his phone and Anders phone because I'm like oh my god this is what I've been missing nothing yeah I totally told her about Lindsey Graham oh that's awesome yeah yeah and I had to be really hard for you yeah you were probably really I actually knew about the Lindsey Graham stuff because when I was you felt it yeah I'm like like whoa ah I was fell off the cliff you on a cliff yes damn I was up there it's like it's a she was showing pictures of whoa it's a gorgeous like it's it's renowned kind of for its architectural that's it I encourage you at home to look at pictures SCA ranch okay it's really beautiful there's no town there's like one grocery store that's ten miles away you're just really isolated I was really isolated there's nothing really to do besides walk go to the beach but you don't really go in the water you're just like hanging out at the beach yeah they're very quiet there is definitely a euphoria you get when you can avoid your phone and then you get bored but you push past that boredom yes and it's a it is boredom right like because boredom is where like creativity is spurned from and so like when I'm able to avoid it enough I feel so good and that's what I suddenly have ideas and stuff can I be honest with you guys what's up not being on my phone not being on social media has made me go do you do I think I can do this job the job that we do without being on social media um because I find that it's such a distraction for me and as much as I know that this is our job and we have to be online like I really sometimes I'm like I don't want to be mmm you don't want to be online yeah no I don't know I don't think you have to be online like can I do this job without having a social media presence I think so I think you can I there's something really interesting I have a few thoughts on this one is uh there's a quote I was listening to Caleb hearings podcast once and he was talking about how like his podcast blew up when he kind of like stopped doing a ton of stuff on social media and just fully just was like all in on his podcast and it kind of made like the focus was just there but I think that that can work for some people not work for others but in his case like kind of being off of other social medias helped him I also think what I'm trying to work on because I am a very like I don't post that often but I am online a lot like I think it's about being in intentional like with what you do online right it's like scrolling i do think is bad for me like i'm like what is this what am i doing but going on to instagram to look at people's stories to see what people are up to if i'm like hey for the next five minutes i'm gonna go check what all my friends are posting on their stories and i'm doing that very intentionally and then i'm getting off like i'm doing a task or i'm doing a thing as opposed to just like being on my phone i think just being on social media is bad because it's kind of like mindless and it is just distraction but if it's like oh i'm gonna go on tiktok and i'm gonna post a tiktok or like i'm gonna go on there and search for a thing but that's like going with a purpose but oftentimes we pull it up and it's like why am i pulling it up right now it's purely so i can yeah stop thinking right now or yeah because i can't handle being alone with my thoughts for a second that's speaking just for myself yeah um yeah i think it's certainly different for everyone because for me i find a lot of inspiration from being online like you know a lot of our ideas for like games videos or even like like discussion topics uh yeah just kind of in in day-to-day to me i i get from online yeah and there's a lot of humor online that i really enjoy for sure like twitter like i know you find the gold on twitter like like i think my twitter fees just it's like i think i get served all the really funny stuff and i really enjoy it to me sure maybe in a week i i yeah i honestly sometimes feel like i don't need to look at twitter because you send me the funny stuff thank you and i'm like great thank you i don't have to look through all the like horrible stuff you need to send it to me yeah yeah i i don't think i i'm trying to think of like what stuff you know because i definitely have like chance and i'll send each other stuff um you know anders and i'll send each other stuff you know i'll send stuff to shane and trevor and it's like you know some stuff i will know i'm like oh i could send this to all of them or some of them like oh this is like just for trevor yeah just for shane just niche you wouldn't get it yeah you wouldn't get it you wouldn't get it no but like i like there are definitely things that i think you would like that they probably wouldn't like and it's just fair right now i'm probably not not getting served those because i'm not i think it'll show me stuff that is akin to what i am sending out but now that our phones are listening in on this conversation it'll start serving you that stuff yeah yeah so you're gonna be you'll have some stuff i'll get some i'm not gonna really be on my phone until saturday okay after i have a lobster roll oh and then all right scroll scroll scroll city scroll city i still think about something because eddie burback did this great video where he locked up his phone for a month he's like was off he put it into like a safe wow i'm safe any but what he talked about like why he wanted to try it was he's like if you're scrolling for like half an hour to an hour on your phone on reddit twitter tiktok whatever he's like after you're done scrolling ask yourself what did you just watch and consume and i i realized i'm like man most of the time i can't like i don't know retain any i'm not retaining this isn't like beneficial but it's hitting that part of your brain that's the like reward complex of like oh yeah like oh yes i need that another hit the b spot but it's not the brain spot um but uh yeah i i i have to ask myself that sometimes and i think it's okay that for things not be productive but i'm just like it's asking myself what am i being entertained though because i've made the joke of like what do my cats think of my phone and they they were like oh he looks at this the the mirror that pisses him off like that's that's what it is it's like oh he picks up that rock that that makes him mad totally because that's often the case i'm just like i look and i'm like this isn't i'm not reading the news i'm like if i'm scrolling through reddit i'm really see if i read the news i'm getting pissed off i'll get pissed off but i think like i think there is importance to reading the news right but it's important to read the news i don't need to read everyone's breakdown of the news or interpretation of the news i'm like the news is the news i need tucker i need i'm like i'm like yeah there's a diarrhea parasite i don't need to read a million see i need all the i need there's a lot of great jokes i need all the diarrhea meme and the jokes are good i missed i actually did hear about this diarrhea parasite which hopefully by the time this airs what if we all died from it i don't think anybody's died from it anyone's dying from it yet it just it just sucks really bad yeah it's just i i had diarrhea a couple days ago oh but i don't think it was that no you would know if it was that but like it was pretty bad but it was like it was like it was just like one no man that was just all you that was all me that was your choices yeah it was it was my it was my choices i could probably say that but i don't think it was that i would say it's been a long time for me it's been a it's been i definitely don't get it often so we we've we've gone from talking about gambling to diarrhea insider trading to insider insider poop and locking up our phones yeah but also i just i would get fired so fast if i locked up my phone same well yeah we do i was still on slack like i was still i was like hey selena how does instagram look right now can you take some screenshots yeah hey just just scroll and just screen record how does instagram look um but i do think like being out by yourself in nature you definitely have i definitely gain nothing fuck that place like i should have been insider trade inside trading i should have been inside insider trading have you guys gone outside recently it's dumb out there nothing interesting 64 degrees boring outsider trading whoa i but like being alone you you you hear like other couples like not being you're just eavesdropping no i they were talking very loudly okay you're somehow do it like you're just on social media but outside well also okay can i also just say something that's actually okay the social media aspect of it is like because we are we have this public presence it feels so strange to post a picture of yourself and get so many comments being like wow yes like i just don't think i don't know i think there's there's something like cool to step away from that you know and like realize like that's not really normal i do think i i it's like so early on that there's probably not enough like studies on this stuff but i don't necessarily think our brains were built to handle the this stuff right of like thousands of people talking about you immediately right it's just it's hard it's impossible to comprehend um and maybe you're maybe i think that's what it is for me i i can't comprehend yeah it's absolutely bizarre i mean like look social media is absolutely bizarre a crazy crazy thing um also i think the constant validation of people either disliking you or praising you through social media is uh maybe a little unhealthy and you really have to like check your i have to check myself and be like oh like it's not real i mean it is real but it's also like you have to kind of have a layer of of of like awareness remove yourself a little bit from it right yeah because you see creators who get too in it both either in the hate or the praise and it's like hey that this this is different like you cannot have that be your reality because it's a weird other place but yeah i mean the real world i mean this is gonna sound so fucking stonery but it's like the real world just feels so real like sitting and talking with like another human being i'm like what's what's more real and normal than that yeah like a comment's just like i think what i what i think really turns social media in a different direction what is like the the algorithmic nature of it nowadays whereas back in the day the internet used to be like you all checked in it's like we're all seeing the same thing we're all coming to the same place whereas now because it's it's kind of sequestering people to their different bubbles and it's like algorithmically making this thing for you i think it's twisting it and now it's become more like a matrix than it used to be it used to be like oh we're all coming together communicating here but now there's something like it is it is actively influencing you right and i think that's what i'm realizing i'm like this is what's scary is that it's trying to show me what i want but now that's a bad feedback loop as opposed to you go on and like you're not going to ever be like seeing something and be like we all we all saw the same thing i don't know it's but like i like even like on twitter and you know this is a dangerous topic to discuss you know smosh twitter stuff like that but any of those you are essentially seeing such a small microcosm but if it gets served you a lot you think oh that's reflective of an entire fan base but it's like no this is you put that number in the context of like who actually watches or something like that and it is so i'm not saying it's a it's a voice that doesn't matter it's just it is a relatively small voice and i remember learning about the the fucking the the silent minority when learning about uh like american history and like politics throughout the ages and that was always such a fascinating where it's like you know you have this outspoken people who are like you know we want this we want like x and y in terms of you know someone to run for a candidate or something like that but you have like 70 plus percent of people just sitting at home not engaging on that level but still having opinions and then i think is what we have with smosh where it's like you know we can do something and there will be 95 of the audience has this really outspoken opinion but there is 95 who you know is never going to comment on a video never going to comment on any of our pages not going to engage with it on a level beyond watching it and being like oh that was fun yeah it's what's heartbreaking when we make something that we're like all of us here like this is like the best thing we've ever made and all the comments are like this is the best thing you've ever made but it gets so many less views than typical it's like oh that it sucks because then we have to interpret like oh a majority of people didn't care for this but they're not saying anything but they didn't watch it like they didn't or maybe they didn't hate it but they just didn't care to watch it or they started it and so it's like oh but the people who watched it loved it more than anything else and that's hard sometimes you you you you know it's that fucking oh one for me one for them or whatever that one for us one for them which is always such a funny yeah and i do think we we do make things plenty of the time where we're like this maybe won't be a hit but we are passionate oh i'll definitely selfishly do things like that that's kind of yeah that was kind of how the whole resident evil thing started i was like look like this is something i really like and you know when i'm going to take advantage of the opportunity that i have to you know what a unique cool thing to just be able to like oh like i get to choose the game we play and right do i play it with and then when it when that resonates with people it's like holy shit yeah it's crazy i think uh the the big thing that i think i feel so sad about with social media and this is always the case with the internet but i think really now more than ever is like it's just not a place where i feel like discourse and like genuine conversation can happen it's just not designed that way it is actively designed counter to that it's designed i think it's designed to make arguments happen because they know arguments are going to keep people there but it's not going to resolve anything so they just have to stay there like it's impossible to have a real good like actual like back and forth i mean i just think it just keeps continuing feeding the beast yeah exactly they want the beast to keep growing yeah it's like you stay on the app longer yeah and you're arguing with some well being pissed off is addictive yeah we saw it with fox news for so long and then like i caught myself a couple times with social media where i'm like oh i'm no different than like the people that i've criticized who like just watch the 24-hour news cycle and are just mad all day i'm like i'm i'm kind of doing the same thing where you get kind of hooked on like and that is why the world cup is so cool it brings people together yeah and there's no controversy ever ever everyone's having a good time it's all good and it's it's like super fine this episode of smosh mouth is sponsored by zoc doc life can be chaotic someone here at smosh learned that the hard way while taking out the pit of an avocado this is a true story she was using a brand new knife and wouldn't you know it the knife went straight into the pit and into her finger she needed to find an urgent care stat which after freaking out a little she managed to do by going to zoc doc with zoc doc she found an urgent care within her network that was right around the corner the good news is she got stitches and everything was fine zoc doc lets you search and compare local in-network doctors appointments happen fast usually within 24 to 72 hours and sometimes there are same day appointments available i had been pushing off doctor's appointments for so long and i was like oh long i was so i don't know afraid of trying to book a doctor because it just felt so complicated and the app made it so simple my fears washed away your health matters and taking care of yourself shouldn't be complicated find and book the right doctor with zoc doc head to zoc doc.com slash smosh mouth to get started and check that appointment off your to-do list that's z-o-c-d-o-c.com slash smosh mouth now back to the show just been doing the classic lately feels good so a question we're gonna i'm gonna ask right now um maybe more in future episodes is um how long do you microwave your ice cream for when you get ice cream out of the freezer how long do you microwave it for i like it hard fuck you man what about you i don't microwave my ice cream yeah that's a white i also don't have a microwave you don't have a microwave i believe that i didn't microwave in college for okay so we did have a microwave okay and i would store it in the guest room closet and every time i needed it i would bring it out and then when i finished using it i would put it back in the guest room closet they're unsightly machines they're ugly yeah but then i was like you know what fuck this it's just gonna go on the counter so you do have a microwave to me like i would keep a microwave around for like popcorn my friend gave me a microwave for my birthday that was so sweet i microwaves are perfect for leftovers i love because i meal prep and so then i throw it all in the microwave how long uh for heat it up for for meal prep stuff it's anywhere like because i don't need shit to be piping hot oh i needed to be scalding hot it's never more than an asian thing right yeah is it an asian thing i've got a little baby mouth when it comes to hot damn stop you guys i cannot handle hot i can like agreed i actually i i have like a semi like sort of like thermos you know cup for coffee and i kind of hate it i hate thermoses a little bit because when i pour hot liquid into there it stays hot i'm mad i'm mad because i'm like an hour later and i still can't drink oh i i hate burning my tongue i don't oh my god my tongue a 99 percent time is burnt i love scalding hot foods i don't miss me with that i literally oh my god so when i pour hot liquid into there it stays hot i don't know what i'm gonna do with it i don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what i'm gonna do with it i just don't know what I bring it home you put it in your freezer it's harder than when it I genuinely think you have a like your freezer is set too cold yeah it's not like rock hard it's just like I want it to be like I want the spoon to like go in so go to an ice cream shop no I went home it's what if it's midnight and I'm at home and I want some ice cream for my freezer so I get the I've been getting the whole foods have like a 50% off all their their frozen stuff this happened I saw this last year this was like weeks ago I've been getting the whole foods have like a 50% off all their their frozen stuff this happened I saw this last year this was like weeks ago so I stuck up on their their organic fudge bars it's like it's but it's basically frozen chocolate ice cream and they are so fucking good and they come out and they're like it's the perfect I'm picky about texture yeah surprise but it's like a wait actually yeah but it is a perfect like hardness to the chocolate ice cream I want it I've got like two left so come through yeah I've got like two left so come through yeah I've got like two left so come through yeah yeah no for real yeah can I come tonight sure really yeah what time she's when I live I feel like when Olivia does this she's serious oh I know you haven't been to our place right no I'd love to come yeah we would love to have you she didn't court we're right now yeah yeah right now heading there right now over to his house yeah I know you guys had weekend plans you guys had like a really cool you're oh well you guys are both out this weekend yeah no but that was the first time you guys have been to I had never been I'd never been to one of your invite me over to your house this week you've never been to any of my places I don't think I can go to the Boston show I have plans you have to go yeah I gotta go to Spencer's house sorry that's just how is how is his place awesome really designed very well really I was like damn like I need to take some pointers how do you guys feel about someone going to your house and looking into your fridge I don't care I don't care oh I'm a Snoopy dude but you wouldn't do that if you came to my you would open my fridge I feel like I did do that I'm a very like when it comes to food and drink like I when people come over I'm like I'm like you're allowed to have anything no no but would you go do that in someone else's house open their fridge no I would ask I would I would maybe but I don't care too much about what's in people's fridge oh dude dude yeah I'm going in there you've been over to our place have you peeped the fridge yes what'd you think nice thanks great drinks like you know how does your fridge look like I feel like I'm pretty proud of like the amount of like fresh produce that we have like y'all go to the farmers market oh yeah get a little stuff but uh yeah so this this parasite thing is really scaring me because like I'm a fresh produce guy yeah it doesn't so I'm like me at all I love I love that stuff so they're asking me to give up the thing I'm like oh no I have to eat Oreos and donuts for the next two weeks oh it's in fresh produce isn't it only the East Coast I think it's kind of they say it's spreading it's spreading the spinach is blowing in the wind and it's no oh my god what if it becomes like oh it's like the happening spinach yeah it's the happening spinach what no it is the happening yeah the bees nobody care about the bees oh no this is happening right now I hope we don't get sick there's someone who's listening to this podcast who doesn't know any of the references we've made and they're so confused they never read what ready player one they haven't seen the happening ready player one fucking sucked but you got them with the microwave and ice cream I didn't mind I listened to the audiobook it was when we were at defy and I would drive into defy and I would listen to that book and I would just be like man this sucks it takes a lot for me to hate a book I think my imagination I'll pull out a heavy lifting to try to like like a book really I you're fucking imagining yeah yeah fuck think harder um no i i enjoyed like i i think i'm good at um when i'm reading a book or i'm watching a movie i kind of quickly try to tap into i'm like okay what what's the vibe of this yeah like what is this going for here like is this am i taking this seriously is this just like silly silly time and i think i know i was reading ready player when i was like this is this this is silly time i need to tap into my like 15 you hate it i need to tap into my 15 year old brain just enjoy the references like i i do that for things yeah um i've talked about that like i do that with star wars like star wars i'm very much like hey i'm i'm here to be entertained i'm here to see cool visuals and stuff i'm not gonna pick apart the things too yeah did you wind up seeing back rooms no dude i watched it how was it two nights ago i really liked it i'm glad you really liked it because i've heard mixed things i went and saw it in theaters by myself and um because i saw it like last night last minute opening weekend and i really enjoyed it yeah i love the back rooms and like talking to kane parsons um which we all did we all did too but see like i talked to him about serious shit and you guys made him do six seven i that's the disrespect hey uh no but like i wish i had seen the movie before talking to him because i have so many legitimate questions about let's have him back on let's have him back rooms on um but i really i even sent him a dm after i watched the i was like i was like no he didn't no he hasn't responded to me either i think he's busy i think he's really really busy i i imagine he's busy or he's stuck in the back rooms speaking of movies what's up i watched a movie by myself two weeks ago okay called the invite i heard it was pretty good it was so funny have you heard of this movie it's the new libya wild movie oh incredible seth rogan seth rogan okay olivia wild penelope cruz ed norton hell yeah from fight club incredible cast so good i think you would really like it nice um what is your favorite movie of the year right now oh um because you you both love i think you may be out of the whole cast ian too actually yes ian it's you three in in the running for who loves movies the most i'd have to look him up but mine might be the drama oh yeah the drama was so funny i'm gonna go see it tonight really i'm gonna go see it tonight i'm gonna go see it tonight you saw the furious right you're right did you see the furious i watched the furious also this week i didn't love it okay um favorite movie that in theaters well i'm still excited to see the odyssey i've um y'all can go in boston i eat that shit up okay i love it i and i understand when i see that's another one my brain when i see like uh period pieces or like you know old old school stuff i'm like yeah this is a retelling this is a re this is what christopher nolan pictures when this isn't like accurate lore accurate wait so you're saying you don't care to see the movie oh no i'm stoked to see it i love christopher like but i love i kind of i kind of love that the odyssey and like these old old tales they are tales of your yeah they're they're told differently every time and they're pictured differently every time but i love like ancient greece and ancient mythology same me too so much yeah eat that shit up because my favorite books all time are uh song of achilles yeah harry potter oh yeah song of achilles and cersei i love those books so much that made me cry song of achilles okay anyways favorite movie favorite movie this year you guys yeah favorite movie this year i think i would have to look back uh i realized i have not i've not been good about seeing movies this year um i mean the big one this year obsession was probably i still not seen it whoa i know i i've i've not seen it yet and i'm really dying to um it's streaming i know i need to i need to i think it's coming on i think this is tough because i don't know if i'll have time to watch it tonight and then i'm leaving for two weeks and i'll see it in boston you'll be mad if i see it without her i feel like i don't think courtney would like it you don't think so it's got weird it's got some like weird body stuff oh yeah oh yeah it does i don't mind body horror there's a like a kind of like a loose body horror moment in the back rooms that was oh yeah yeah i told courtney i was like she's like how was it i was like it's good i was like there's one part you'd have to look away the best part is he's he's uh the main guy one of like my favorite performances like possibly like he's so good man i i loved it i was like i've never seen a movie like this exactly that was kind of my taking and i i respect that whenever i see a movie or a tv show and i'm like this is the first kind of this that i've ever seen even if it's objectively bad yeah i still am like you did something i enjoyed this thank you for trying this yeah okay i've chosen chosen chosen um i think it would be hamnet or i still haven't seen dreams oh i didn't like i didn't like either of those you hate it's this year right these movies were i think both those were last year 25 but if you saw it this year i'd say it counts okay um i read hamnet last year but i still haven't seen it uh but i hear the movies people say the movie's better than the book whatever what were the movies that came out this year i don't fucking hate shake it out i don't know i don't what movies low-key not a big shakespeare guy um it's not about like like i i feel like you know you're not reward i mean i don't know it's not really about shakespeare oh i know mary came out this year oh i did see that's probably that's you know what that's probably my favorite of the year but i loved i loved that book so much oh i love that story i think it's really fun did you fucking cry did you cry i maybe cried reading the book i might have cried maybe i teared up a little bit i would have teared up if i saw project home air in a theater i think um happy stuff makes me cry more than than sad happy feet happy feet like when i heard the minions movie is good yeah i guess i would put that but i haven't seen many movies this year i've seen back rooms and project hill mary so different from each other but project hill mary was really fun like it's a dog movie it's a man and a dog movie it's what it's a man with a dog yeah man dog movie it's just like a it's a positive movie and i'm like i'm kind of i kind of love things that make me feel good right now because so many tv shows and movies for the longest time were just like everyone sucks look at how look at how shitty these people are it's like all right succession is still the best show succession yeah that's i cannot believe you just that worst part of two i didn't know i saw that i have not seen it i saw that uh i saw i finally saw mama mia for the first time oh oh uh pretty good pretty good awesome i gotta see the second one now though oh my god oh yeah that was great did you like the way she smelled i didn't clock her smell you didn't she's an incredible lady huh what is she yeah yeah what is sorry i was i was still thinking about the smell but i was like you know what what does she wear do you know what she no but what was your like the first first word you can think of when you saw my mom kind oh just like maybe normal is a weird way but like you know she was very like down to earth and you know also just kind of down to do whatever which was you know i was like you know what if she you know thinks all this is stupid or oh my god never my mom is the least judgmental person yeah and i think that's just that was great that's what i need she liked you okay good yeah she was she was great no no she said well her and arasha's mom when they were sitting in our uh holding room they were just like wow we didn't realize how hard they worked here yeah they were just like you think they're just making videos and laughing and playing games she's like but when we're here you're like oh my god she's like oh my god she's like oh my god she's like they're like you guys are exhausted yeah yeah because it was also the week when we're shooting a lot and oh yeah and they really got a glimpse she's like we just didn't expect you guys to be doing this type like this much work yeah yeah yeah it's almost the weird thing like when we're here recording is actually like the chillest part of the day like this is almost the break sometimes it feels like yeah oh my god like kind of like and then you're bustling and hustling in between shoots and stuff last week i was michael for a whole week yeah that wig i don't know if that's out yet but yeah some good bit city stuff coming michael Now, back to the show. Do you guys have anything exciting, like, upcoming exciting things? I might be going back to my hometown for the first time in, like. Florida. Yeah, in, like, seven years or something like that. Going down to Florida. Why? My cousin's getting married. Whoa, my cousin just got married. Whoa. I was in Ohio. Got the Riz, Ohio Riz. What state is Boston in? Massachusetts? Massachusetts. Okay. Mass. Asshole. Yeah. You guys gotta watch, uh. You're gonna watch, um. What's that fucking movie? Martin Scorsese. The Departed. The Departed. Love that movie. So good. The original. Chinese? No, it was Japanese. Cantonese. Wait, really? Yes. I had no idea. Infernal Affairs. No, Infernal Affairs. City on Fire is a different movie. Whoa, I had no clue. Yeah. Incredible movie. Might go home and see that. Nope, can't. Going to. Is Martin Scorsese. We need to watch it tonight. The Town. Should I watch The Town? I don't know. Ben Affleck's The Town? You know what? I have it on Blu-ray. I love it so much. Really? I love. You know I love Affleck. I don't think I know how much you love Affleck. You guys. You ever seen, uh, The Accountant? Of course. Accountant 2? Of course. Argo. Have you watched every Ben Affleck movie? Except for. Dogma? I didn't see. Is he in Clerks? No, he's not in Clerks. He's not in Clerks. He's in Dogma. He's not in Clerks. No, he is in. He's in Mallrats. He's in Chasing. Is he in Chasing. He is Chasing Amy. He's Chasing Amy. He's the eponymous chaser of Amy. I think he's, um. Chasing Amy's pretty good. I haven't seen it since college. Isn't it really problematic? Yeah, so it's about, uh, he meets a lesbian woman, and he's basically like, oh, I love her, like, she just, like, and he, like, he, like, tries to get her to fall in love with him. The most 90s shit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For her. I'm not gonna watch that, but I love. Have you seen Mallrats? Oh, that's what I'm talking about. Mallrats. I watched that forever ago. I fucking love Mallrats. Yes. And, I mean. I mean, when you're in high school, Mallrats, it's kind of the best movie of your life. It's hard to picture a mall being like that nowadays. Ugh. I don't think they've changed too. Like, there's still the essence of a mall. I'm just saying, like, I'm just saying to be, like, the hub. Yeah. Where it's, like, everybody goes to the mall. Like, that's where you're gonna meet up with everyone. Mm-hmm. I fucking love the mall. Like, that's what the internet is now. But, like, you're a mall guy? Oh, my God. Mall guys. Mall guys. Uh. Have you seen. I love malls. Do you like. Yeah. I love malls. I enjoy a mall. You wanna go to the mall? We can go to the mall. The Boston Mall? I just feel like so many times I go to the mall, and maybe it's when I'm going to the mall, it just has, like, such a different feeling from when I was a kid. Like, malls used to be, like, crazy. It used to just feel like, whoa. That's how the Arcadia Mall feels like. Yeah. It's like a slice of. They feel, like, emptier. And not necessarily that it's, like, there's not people there, but they just feel like. I re-watched Jackie Brown recently. Have you guys seen Jackie Brown? A lot of it takes place at the Del Amo Mall, I wanna say. In Torrance? Yeah. And it's in the, it's in the 90s, so it's just bursting with life. Wow. And it's just, you know, it pops off the screen. And it's also just, like, the design of the, like, it's so slate gray. It's so marble now. Whereas, like, back in the day, there was so much color. There was so much, like, vibrancy. Spencers. Yeah, man. Spencers. What was the, like, Sam Goody? It felt kooky. Like, back in the 90s, going to the mall. I think they still have Sugar Factory. It used to feel. It's sugar. This is also maybe me as a kid, thinking back, putting my kid glasses on. It used to feel, like, there used to be, like, spectacle to it. Yeah. You'd go to the mall, and it was like, whoa. Because it was like, these shops were, like, putting on a show with the way. They still got pretzels, man. They do still have pretzels. Pretzels, like, carry for me. Really quick, who makes the best pretzel? Auntie. Wetzels. Thank you. And? Olivia is correct. Well, so, here's what I do at Wetzels. You can leave. I get the, I get the almond pretzel, and you ask for, like, a cup of frosting. Oh, so you do the sweet pretzel. Well, that's to say, you know, I think Wetzel bits are better than. No, it's too hard. Sometimes the Wetzel bits, sometimes the Wetzel bits. Sometimes the Wetzel bits. Sometimes the Wetzel bits, some of them. The Wetzel bits? Some of them lack any seasoning. Like, you're not. The seasoning, you mean butter? No, well, I get the salted. I like salted stuff. So, sometimes, some of them just have no salt on them. Some of them have all the salt, and some of them have none. I don't have that problem. Auntie Anne's makes the best salted pretzel. Auntie Anne's is. I just feel like Auntie Anne's is a rarity. Like, you know. It is true. It is hard to find. I did go on a. Oh, my gosh. I want one. I went on a first date one time, and we went to the mall, and. Hey. Yeah, I did. This was a long time ago, and, you know, we. One of us went to Wetzel's, or we went to Wetzel's and Auntie Anne's, and we, like, did a taste test, and it was really cute. Oh. How old were you? I was, like, 20. And she liked the Auntie Anne's, and you liked the Wetzel's, so you're like, this date is off. Yeah, yeah. You know, I would love to go on a date at the mall. Oh, you can. I love a mall date. I don't think it's happening these days. Everyone's always going to get drinks. Because you can go to, like, the Din Tai Fung if you go to the gallery. Oh, my God. The Century. A day at the Century City Mall, or even better, the Arcadia Mall. Whoa. We can do a friend. Hit up Din Tai Fung. We can do a friend date there. That's so cute. Let's do that. When do you want to do that? I don't know, because I would love to see this mall that you. The Arcadia Mall. that you speak of. And we can bring Shane. Do you want to come? Yeah. Okay. This is what we're going to do. Third one. Revealing a friend date is really funny. That's really funny. Where it's like, hey, like, we're friends, but, like, you're not, like, you know. You're not, like, as. You're not, like. Okay, there's Wetzel's. You're an acquaintance. Yeah. There's Wetzel's and Auntie Anne's. Let's do that. And a GNC for you. For you, dude. And me. I'll go get my vitamins. Yeah, there's salt on some of these vitamins, but not all of them. And then we'll hit up Din Tai. Just pop it. Do they have a Din Tai there? Of course. There's a DTF inside the mall. Ooh. That's probably. Wow. Next to Kelly's Cookies. Kelly's Cookies. Man. And then they have that, you know, the glasses. You mean Miss Fields? Gin's. I want to go to Gin's really bad. There's a Gin's there. There's a Gin's there right across from Din Tai. I've never had. You don't need to go to Boston. You want to go this weekend? Yes. You're going to skip out on Boston. People will be like, why is there only one person. Shipping off to Arcadia. I'll be like, guys, please welcome Tommy and. Wait, do we go. Nobody else. A 1v1 Reddit stories where it's just you reading a story to one person? It would be fine. I think it'd be okay. I'm not scared of that. Do you think our audience would even care if I didn't go to Boston? I think they'd care. I don't. I think they're excited. But they're like, oh, but she's. They know that you're going, so they're going to be sad if you're not there. But they're like, okay, well, she's also accompanying Spencer to the mall. I'd have to explain that on stage tomorrow, though, at Boston. I need to be like, hey, guys, so Olivia's not here, but don't worry. She's at the Arcadia mall with Spencer. She's at the mall with Spencer. And they're booing, and then they're like, oh, yeah. I think they would understand that. But no. I think they'd be bummed with like. I think an Olivia Live show is going to be so fun. It's going to hit. Because people know it's hard to expect what you're going to say. This is real. These aren't comments. This is real people right now. This isn't social media. No, and you pop off sometimes on Reddit, and it's hilarious. Thanks, guys. It's so hard. But let's set up the mall next weekend. It's so down. Should we do. Oh, my God. Do you want to do like a Friday or a Saturday or a Sunday? Well, then have fun. I'll be gone still. Oh, yeah. Shane's. I'm so sorry. Sorry. Shane's going to be in Canada. I'm going to be in Canada. What are they? Poutine? Poutine? I like poutine. It's good. Fucked up fries. Tim Hortons. What? Tim Hortons is. I feel like they have that here. They do. It's called animal fries. Dude. For viewers at home, do you guys ever. Do you guys ever fuck with Dutch Bros? I've never had. I've never had Dutch Bros. Dude. So it's like a drive-thru coffee place, but they also have like Red Bull concoctions. Ew. Can I. It's horrible. I think I've talked about this. Something I really respect about you, genuinely, is like you will hear about or see like fast food places are like, oh, they have this new item or like, oh, they do this crazy new thing and you're like, I got to go try it. Yeah. And I really respect that. Is that not exciting to you? I just. No. Honestly, when it comes to fast food, I've ordered the same thing my entire life. Oh, I'll get the same thing. But like, I know when Taco Bell's like, we've got this new enchilada, double smack. Taco. I'm like, nah. And I'm trying it. I'm not trying it. No. To me, it's like. I'm going to go get the same thing. It's experiential to me. Interesting. It's a, you know, but it's experiential in a low. Especially with fast food, it is low stakes where it's like, if you go to a nice restaurant, they're like, oh, we have this new dish. At that point, I'm like, fun. However, I'm going to stick with all reliable. Okay. But in a fast food context, it's like, well, I can get both. True. What's your fast food order? Which place? One place. Pick. Pick one place. Pick one place is real. I feel like the ones that are like Jack in the Box, where they serve everything. So Jack in the Box, like, I like trying their new concoctions, but like, my fallback is typically their loaded tiny tacos, which are delicious. They're like the, they're little beef tacos, and they put them in like a, essentially like a Chinese takeout thing. I don't know. Yeah, yeah. That's how Jack in the Box works. Like, but you know, like, what do you call this container? Like a Chinese takeout container? The. Yeah, the little. Yeah. Like, you know, the, the, the white, uh, it's, it's Jack in the Box branded, but like, I don't know what else you would call it container. Is it good? Yeah, and so they. I did try one once. They throw it in there, and then they put like nacho cheese in there, like this other sauce, and then lettuce, rest in peace. And then they, you shake it up, and then it's every taco, you eat it with a fork, and they're these crispy, little, beefy, cheesy, saucy tacos. You should get some today, and hopefully. I think. You'll get the diarrhea. See, I think. I think, I was gonna say, with the way that, like, your choices of food, and the way that you eat food at fast food places, I think if you ate the parasite, I think they would forgive you, and they would move on. Yeah. They would be like, we're, we're, our work is done. They're like, this guy's cool. Yes. No, we can't do this. But I don't eat like that. But if I go, that'll kind of realistically be the only thing I get there. I know some people's fast food orders to be like Popeye's. Oh, Popeye's is another one. I'll get the three spicy strips and the fries, the mashed potatoes, and the biscuits. So I guess that's pretty much it. Do you know your order for pretty much every fast food place? Don't y'all? Not always. What's yours? Usually it's just like I get wherever. And this is like fast food and also like Chili's level. It's like I'm getting chicken fingers or chicken nuggets. Anywhere? Yeah. Like I just, they kind of just hit no matter where you go, right? So like I'm like if Taco Bell served them, I'd be like maybe. But Taco Bell I get. So they do serve them. They do? Yeah. They're pretty good. Of course you've tried them. I get five crunchy tacos at Taco Bell. Five crunchy tacos? That's a lot of crunchy tacos. You eat all of them? Yeah, dude. Wow. I could eat more. I have to actively stop myself. I get a cheesy gordita crunch and the cinnamon twists. Whoa. And Taco Bell, you've heard Taco Bell had to take off a bunch of their items, right? Why? On account of the diarrhea disease. Wasn't I hearing that? Because of the diarrhea thing? Wherever they sourced their lettuce from maybe had the, I don't know. It's probably everywhere. Mine is McDonald's Filet-O-Fish. No sauce. No cheese. Filet-O-Fish? Filet-O-The-Fish? I've never had it. I've also never had a Filet-O-Fish. It's incredible. I haven't had McDonald's in like 10 years. I also love Diet Cokes from. Okay. A fast food soda hits. Oh my gosh. It does hit. I've been getting Panda a lot lately. I love Panda. I get the cub meal. Like a baby panda meal? Is it called a baby panda meal? I don't know. I have to show restraint at Panda Express because I do want to get the double orange chicken. When you're hungover, okay, and you order Panda Express the next day, holy shit. I don't eat chicken anymore, so they did like a beyond meat. I heard their beyond orange chicken was really good. And I keep telling them to bring it back. I wonder what their holdup is. I do know the holdup, and we'll talk about it after. Oh, damn. Okay. It has to be off the record. You learned about it at Taylor Swift's wedding. That I wasn't at. Wait, but I did want to ask you something. Me? Yeah. Go for it. What's it like to be sitting with the detention degenerates? Jesus Christ. Like, does that intimidate you? Holy shit. Did you guys win? It's been over a year. No, we lost. Who won? I don't fucking remember. This is how me with every games video goes. I don't remember. I told that to so many people. Some people were like, oh, like, it sucks. We're losing. I'm like, literally, I have been there for every iteration of every fucking thing like this. I couldn't tell you who won a single fucking thing. Yeah. Who won? The banana ramblers? Why do I see cursing so much? Can you tell me who won any? You've been in every games, winter, summer. Who won any of them? Snow Rambays won the first winter game. Fuck. It was the Yetis, Spaghetti Yetis. I don't remember the winners of any of the games. Thank you, guys. What we have done. What we have done. What we have done, yeah. I don't know who won, but, you know, I have to say when I'm in it, I get so fucking competitive. That's me with any games video. I get in, but as soon as we yell cut, I'm done. I'm done and I forget about it. I think about it. Okay. I think you don't. Yeah, I do. It is funny that, like, look, I'm going to self-insert here. We've all been in all of them. We have. I might have been behind the camera. And I'm, I actually, I guess I was there. Oh, my God. I didn't compete in the first one. Yeah, but you were the ref. Like, you were, and that was kind of the first time I saw Shane. I was like, this guy's like, this guy's really funny. Well, I'm so glad that we don't have to do half the shit that we used to do. That is true. I'm so. It's far less painful. I'm so happy that we don't have to have ping pong balls hit to our stomach. Yeah. I'm so glad we don't have to make fucking snow angels in the snow. Fuck that. Yeah. There was one where I was really. I was really jealous I didn't get to do it, which, for all of the rest, didn't care. Oh, my God. But it was the one where we did the, you went down in a sled and knocked over the bowling pins. The bowling ball, the bowling pins. Yeah. I remember that. I hated that. I loved that. I hated all of that. I loved that. Oh, that one looked sick. That was fun. I loved that. Honestly, I was only doing it to keep my job. Yeah. I truly, there was this other thing that we had to do after summer games. We had to go to fucking Six Flags or whatever the water fucking. Hurricane Harbor. Hurricane. I remember. I remember that. Harbor. I was so uncomfortable. I hated that shit so much. Oh, yeah, because you don't swim. I just, I don't like public water. And they just were throwing you in the water and like. And I remember it was like, oh, my God, we get the Hurricane Harbor all to ourselves. I'm like. It's like you get that anyways. Because no one is going there. You get the diarrhea disease there. Yeah, that's where it starts. My favorite games that we've done is the one that we did last. Oh. That was by far. Last year's summer games was incredible. Last year's summer games was so fun because we didn't have to do any body stuff. Like, I didn't have to eat a hot pepper. It was really well constructed. And the crew, fantastic. We got to throw darts at Anthony. The production was on point. The next one that we do, I'm so excited and I hope we're on the same team. No, we're bringing back tickling for this one. Yeah, we're doing the tickle game. Sorry. The theme is tickling. Sorry. That's how it goes. Yeah. Am I going to get in trouble for saying that I hated everything? The tickle games we did. No. That was before Anthony came back. You're allowed to talk whatever shit you want. I mean, he was there for the first couple. First couple, but I don't think he. Do you remember the one where they did where they didn't go and they were just like, they did commentary and I had to edit in the commentary even though they, like, didn't even watch, like, a finished edit? Wait, the edit wasn't ready, but it was. Like, they couldn't watch it. They, like, couldn't watch it, so it was just like, oh, like. They're just like, this is crazy, man. No, I think it's because one of them had to get their wisdom teeth out. No, I think Anthony booked something. Oh. Maybe it was both. We'll get him on and ask him. Yeah. What the deal was. No, they're so transparent about, like, there's no. Like, that is the nice thing. They've talked about this. There is no bad blood about any of that stuff. Like, it's purely, like, fodder for laughter. That was defy. That was defy. That was a wacky, wacky world. Wacky world. Anyways, we're out of time. Oh, no. Things were getting really juicy. We were getting. It was getting juicy. I was, like, I was warming up to say some crazy shit. Sorry. I'm going to have to say it all in Boston. No. Unhinged me or no filter me. I go crazy. I go crazy. I get crazy off the. I'm scared of myself. I'm scared. I get crazy off the friendly conversation with close friends. By the way, can we show some appreciation for this huge table? I think I saw that. You know the kick they do in kung fu movies where they lift their foot, like, straight up and they kind of grab it and then they bring it down. Yeah, yeah, yeah. An axe kick. Yeah, they were doing a lot of that in The Furious and, you know, I feel like axe kicking that would be really fun. That would be really fun. I wish I could axe kick. I feel like you could. Or drop kick. I could bring my leg up really high. You could do a full-on bam. Yeah. Do you want to try and axe kick it right now? No, we can't destroy this little table. No, I think someone would be upset. Stuart Little. My good friend. My good friend. The borrowers. Stuart Little. Thank you both for joining me today. Thank you for having us. Yeah, of course. And thank you all for listening. I hope this conversation was fascinating to you. And imagine, if you will, a very small table. And, yeah, imagine a really tiny table if you're just listening. And think about insider trading for. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Maybe detail out why it's bad. So expensive. Give us some facts. We're going to have, like, be, like, someone typing in being like, hi, insider trader here. It's awesome. It feels good as hell. It's actually really good. And then someone below them is like, insider trading. Professor here. Killed my family. Insider trader scientist here. But, yeah. A lot of interesting convo topics. Add to it down below. And we'll see you next Monday. Bye. Bye.
