#1382- If I Wanted To Go From 0-100K Followers In 100 Days I'd Do This...
19m 30s
The podcast outlines a proven, structured strategy for business owners to grow from zero to 100,000 Instagram followers in 100 days. It emphasizes that content success isn’t about volume but about strategic funnel design: top-of-funnel content attracts broad attention with viral hooks, middle-of-funnel content engages with specific pain points, and bottom-of-funnel content directly converts ideal clients. Each post must serve a clear purpose—value, connection, or social proof—delivered in high-engagement formats like split screens or raw talking videos. The recommended posting schedule includes 14 posts weekly (8 value, 3 social proof, 3 connection), with value divided into broad (mass appeal) and conversion (client-specific) forms. Daily social proof on Stories builds trust and credibility, showing real client results. A structured sales process using lead magnets and DM scripts ensures conversions. The host also runs a monthly $1,000 giveaway to listeners who rate the podcast and share episodes with a tag. This isn’t theory—it’s backed by real results from clients and the host’s own account, including a 130,000-follower growth and $980,000 in sales. The core message is that consistent, strategic, and emotionally resonant content—delivered with authenticity and precision—drives both growth and revenue.
What's going on? Welcome to another episode of the Change Lives. Make money podcasts for business owners
that want to grow and sell on social media. And in today's episode, we are going to be discussing
if I wanted to go from zero to a hundred thousand followers in the span of a hundred days,
this is exactly what I would do. Now, before we get into the episode, I just want to let you guys
know that we're going to be starting a new giveaway, all right? So every month, I'm going to give
away a thousand dollars in cash to one of my podcast listeners every month, okay? Who's all you
to do to enter? Number one, you have to have left me a rating on the podcast. You can do this on
Spotify or Apple. Number two, you are consistently screenshotting and sharing the podcast episodes
to your Instagram story. So as you guys are consuming the podcast episodes on either Apple or
Spotify, screenshot it, share it to your story, tag me at the real brine mark every month. I'm
going to choose one listener and I'm going to give you a thousand dollars in cash, which is literally
just going to wire you a thousand bucks. So if you guys want to win money, that is how you do that.
Make sure you leave me a rating on the podcast, screenshot, share to your Instagram stories,
tag me at the real brine mark and you are automatically eligible to win. Now, everybody here wants to
grow on Instagram, but the problem is that they think growth is a content problem, you know? And so
you think that growing on social media, growing on Instagram is you just need to post more content.
But the truth is like if you just post more content and you have no strategy behind the content
that you're posting and you're just like posting just a post, you know, you're just applying random
shit that you guys are piecing together on the internet and you're not following the clearly
defined system, then you're just going to be putting out more garbage, essentially. And if you put
up the wrong message and you do it consistently, that doesn't build your personal brand, it actually
hurts it. And so people think that if I just post more content, it's automatically going to grow my
personal brand. And that's the opposite because growing your personal brand, follow people that are
like interested in actually purchasing your stuff requires a clearly defined system and you
rigidly following the system. And when you figure out the right structure and the right cadence
and you do this consistently and you do it over an extended period of time, the results are
astronomical. You know, I've got a couple of clients that come to mind. One of my clients,
her name's Natalie. She started with me in January of this year with 25,000 followers. She went
from 25,000 followers to now over 130,000 followers and she went from $5,500 a month to $56,000 a month.
So a lot can happen in a very short period of time when you actually follow a clearly defined system.
So if you guys are looking for the system, this is it, all right? And this isn't, by the way,
this isn't like theory. This isn't like me guessing. This is not only evidence of me working with
12,000 plus clients, but this is also the exact same strategies that I'm using a my Instagram account
right now to grow by 30,000 followers a month. Last month, we booked 1100 sales calls. Last month,
of those 1100 sales calls, we closed 245 deals and out of those 245 deals and that includes obviously
the cancellations that we had in the no shows. So we got 245 deals over the line and we ended up
collecting $980,000 USD in cash. So not theory, not guesswork. This shit works. All right. So let's
dive wet it right in. Okay. So before I get into exactly what to post, I need you to understand the
overall strategy. Okay. So every single piece of content that you post needs to have a clearly
defined goal. Okay. So every piece of content has a job and there's one of three jobs that each
piece of content has. So top of the funnel content has a job and the job of top of the funnel content
is to bring more people to your page. Middle of the funnel content has a job and middle of the funnel
content's job is to take your audience that is already following you and warm them up and give
them value. Bottom of the funnel contents job have very specific language for a very specific person
to bring in those ideal clients to your page and make them want to DM you. Okay. So for top of the
funnel content, so there's three different jobs. Top of funnel, middle of funnel, bottom of
the funnel. Top of funnel brings in eyes. Middle of funnel, warm them up. Bottom of the funnel gets
them to DM you. So for top of the funnel content, to bring in more eyeballs to your page and I want
to talk about the mistakes that most people make when it comes to this stuff. Most people when they're
like, oh, I want to get more views, they will just post content that gets more views and so they'll
just post top of funnel content. But if you just post top of funnel content, which is content that's
designed to get more views, you will get a lot of people in your audience that are engaging with
your stuff, but nobody will buy from you because they don't feel like you actually can solve their
problem because you're just like a fucking tip Instagram. And I've seen this with my clients,
the ones that go viral with recipes. They're like giving recipes out and they're like, okay,
cool. Like people are like, oh, my God, and let me wrestle please. But then when it comes to like
actually booking a sales call, like it doesn't happen because they're like, oh, you're just the
recipe guy. You know, you're just the tip guy. A lot of you guys do this with your content. You're
giving all this like viral style content away. And people like, oh, my God, your stuff is so funny.
It's so engaging. But then nobody actually buys from you because they don't feel like you can solve
their fucking problem. So that's one mistake. Another mistake that business owners make when
it comes to growing and selling on social media is they only post middle of the funnel or bottom
of the funnel stuff. So what that would look like is like every video that you have starts with,
if you're a real estate agent in the fucking in the Los Angeles area, then here's how you get more
leads. Now, the problem with doing that is that if you just do that, your Instagram account will
never grow, which means you're literally speaking to the same audience with every single piece of
content that you post. And ultimately, that means that you're not going to make more money and
you're not going to grow on social media, which both of those things suck, which is why you need
to have a top of the funnel content strategy, middle of the funnel content strategy and bottom of
the funnel content strategy. So for top of the funnel content, what you want to do is you want to
post with broad hooks. So ideally, you're not using pain or avatar language. You're just using
broad hooks. This is actually what's going to bring people to the page. And so top of the funnel
stuff is like an example for me is I posted a video on my Instagram yesterday. That was like,
when you want to have sex with your wife and she says, no, here's what you say. And like, that's
like, it's top of the funnel because it's broad enough to be like anybody that has a relationship
that has like a dynamic with their partner is going to find that's funny. But it also is top of
the funnel in the sense that it's going to bring in people that are interested in sales to my page
because I'm talking about how to overcome objections. So that's top of the funnel content.
And middle of the funnel content is going to have a pain point hook wrapped with a viral wrapper.
Okay. And so here's how I like to do middle of the funnel content stuff. I'll go out and
I'll research like proven outlier hooks. And then I'll insert my avatar into those proven
outlier hooks. So that's how I do middle of the funnel content stuff. So an example of that
for me on my page would be like not to flex or anything, but I'm the best business coach on the
planet for online fitness coaches. If I had to go from zero to a hundred thousand followers in the
next 90 days, this is exactly what I would do. Now that's a viral hook I've seen and I stole
from somebody else. And then I insert my own avatar into that viral hook. And that becomes middle
of the funnel content. All right. Now bottom of the funnel content is content that is speaks
directly to your avatar and calls them out like verbatim. And so this is usually like social
proof content or content where you're like, if you're a busy mom that struggles to lose 15 pounds
of body fat, follow this exact meal plan. Now that's like bottom of the funnel because it's very
specific and it's very like targeted with the avatar pain point language. So that's bottom of
the funnel content. So like using words that only your buyers would use. And like so top of the
funnel content is going to get more views. Middle of the funnel content is going to get more comments
and bottom of the funnel content is going to get the least amount of views, but it's going to
sign you the most amount of clients. So that's the overall content strategy. Okay. Now in terms of
how many times you should post. And so like that's top of funnel, middle funnel, bottom funnel.
So if that makes sense, just give me a thumbs up or if you're nodding along, just like not along.
Now there's three different layers to the funnel. Now there's also three different content types.
Okay. So we've got value, social proof and connection. So those are the three different content
types. Okay. Typically speaking, value goes at the top and the middle of the funnel. I'll explain
what that means. Connection goes at the top of the funnel and social proof goes at the bottom of
the funnel. All right. So we have three different content types, value, proof and connection,
connection and value go at the top value by itself goes in the middle, social proof goes at the
bottom. So that's how you fill in that funnel. Now I'm going to tell you exactly how much
to post of each for value. You want to post eight value posts per week for social proof. You want
to post three social proof posts per week for connection. You want to post three connection
posts per week. So a total of 14 posts every week for 100 days. So for value, right. We've got two
different types of value. We've got broad value, which goes at the top of the funnel and conversion
value, which goes to the middle. So broad value for me as an example would be here are seven settings
that you can fix on your Instagram that will help you go viral. That's broad value and it's broad
because it doesn't just apply to business owners that are wanting to grow and sell in social media.
It applies to anyone that's using Instagram. Right. So anyone is using Instagram can use those
settings if they're posting content. So it becomes broad value conversion value on the other hand
is something that is specific to like an ideal client. So like an example would be like if your
content isn't getting views and you want to learn how to go viral, then follow these three steps.
So that's conversion value because I'm speaking directly to the ideal client I'd like to reach.
And then at the bottom of the funnel, social proof would be like here's how my client Sammy
from Australia made $65,000 in the last 30 days. So that's how that works. Okay. So we've got
broad value. We've got conversion value. We've got social proof and then connection would be like
I woke up on my grandma's couch with absolutely nothing and I was struggling with an addiction. Here's
how I turn my life around. So connection content. It's like you sharing your story. I've like you
not only in business, but outside of business personal opinions, life lessons, that's connection
content. You need to have top of funnel, middle funnel, bottom of funnel. You need to follow that
cadence because when you do when you follow that cadence, connection content helps people get to
know you value content and causes people to like you. Social proof content causes people to trust
you. And when you follow the cadence of social proof connection and value with top of funnel,
middle funnel, bottom of funnel in mind, now your Instagram account page is going to grow and
you're going to get people that will know you like you and trust you because of connection
proof and value content. This is the overarching strategy behind all of my content creation.
This is like the macro theory behind everything. Okay. Now I know I told you to post eight value posts.
So when you're posting eight values,
They're not all the same depth. You're going to split them. Okay? So four of the value posts that you post are going to be top of the funnel. Okay, which means you're going to have broad hooks and mass appeal for top of the funnel value posts.
You want to steal proven outlier hooks and insert your own unique take. I'm just going to be transparent.
Sometimes I'll steal the hook word for word because the hook is fucking viral. So I'll literally steal the hook word for word and I'll just add my own spin.
That's broad value for there's four that are broad value and then there's four that a conversion value. So conversion value is like, you know, again, for if I wanted to go from zero to 100,000 followers in the next 100 days, this is exactly what I would do.
Conversion value would be like here are seven steps to make $10,000 in the next 30 days. That's conversion value. I'm literally here right this time. Conversion value is giving away so much value that your ideal client could get results without ever hiring you.
That's the lens that I look at my content through. And so when I'm posting a piece of content that I define as conversion value, I ask myself the simple question.
If I posted this piece of content and somebody consumed this piece of content, could they get results without hiring me?
Like, is this piece of content truly valuable enough where somebody can watch this piece of content if there are real estate agent in Texas.
And if I'm talking about how to get more leads, could they watch this and be like, Oh, shit, like I'm going to do that. And then they do it. And then because they do it, they're like, this guy knows what the fuck he's talking about.
And then they reach out because here's the thing, even when you give away all of the sauce, which by the way, I'm giving right now, like if you're listening to this podcast, if you do this, you'll make money.
Even though you give away all the sauce, 99% of people still won't fucking do it, but they're not. And that doesn't mean the information that you're giving isn't valuable because what you're doing when you get into explicit detail of the thing that it takes to become successful.
People realize that you have a high subject matter expertise. So regardless of whether or not they take the action, they're going to look at you and they're going to be like, this guy knows what the fuck he's talking about because of the vivid detail that he's giving and the social proof that he's giving regarding the detail that he's given.
So that's why it's so important to give away all of the fucking sauce. So for top of the funnel content, broad value posts for conversion value posts.
The social proof posts are going to be at the bottom of the funnel. And again, because people aren't going to send you money on the internet. They're not going to send a fucking stranger thousands of dollars on the internet.
Unless they know that other strangers have trusted them.
Does that make sense? So like if you have proven evidence, you're like, hey, here's a stranger on the internet that paid me. And this is the result they got. Here's a stranger on the internet that paid me. Here's the result that they got.
Here's a result that they got. Like when people can see that you're working with clients that are getting great results. That's how your business is going to grow. Okay. So we talk overarching theory.
We talked to a posting schedule. Now I want to talk what goes into the content. If you guys are getting value so far and you're watching live, which by the way, if you guys ever want to tune in these podcasts live, just go to my Instagram 630 and PSD fucking every day, right.
We any value you're tuning in live. Let me know. And if you're listening to the podcast again value, leave me a fucking rating and screenshot this. Okay.
Now what actually goes into the content. Like how do we go into the content? Because here's the thing that most creators miss is you can have a great piece of value.
But if the great piece of value is boring, if the great piece of value is not engaging, if the great piece of value doesn't capture people's attention, it's not value.
Okay. It's not value because it ends up falling on deaf ears. And so for me, value isn't just the words that you say value is the way that you deliver the information.
Have you guys here's a fucking here's a sauce. Okay. How many of us have ever had a teacher in school that every time you listen to him, you like fell asleep, you know.
It's like you had to go to his class of whether it was high school University, whatever you had to go to his class, but every time you into his class, you fell asleep. And you're like, this dude is so boring or this woman is so boring. It's like not interesting to listen to.
I literally like I'm thinking about fucking paint drying right now because it's more interesting than listening to this person talk. We've all had that experience, right. And so if we think about that, it's like the words that they were saying out of their mouth, it might actually been valuable, but the way that they were delivering the information was not.
And so you need to think about two things when you're delivering value, one is the way that I'm delivering the value actually being received in a way that people are engaging with AKA how's my tonality, how's my delivery, am I like cutting out all the unnecessary filler words.
Or do I overexplain concepts and bore the fuck out of people and so they're like out. Do I say the same thing twice in a video and because I'm repeating myself and people have squirrel brains on social media, people are scrolling.
So that isn't value. So one isn't it happened exactly. One, it's not just the words that you say, it's also how you say them and it's the format in which you deliver them.
Okay. So for me, I'm always looking for what formats are producing views on social media and I try to produce my value in those formats.
And so right now as an example, I'm going to give you guys some sauce, a format that's crushing right now is the top bottom format.
So like the top bottom format is where I'm speaking and then either above me or below me, there's like motion graphics happening that format's crushing right now.
Another format that has been crushing forever and that honestly has been like probably the highest standing format that I've seen is split screens.
So like there's like two versions of you, one of you on the left, one of you on the right.
And so let's say you wanted to talk about how to get to $10,000 a month as an online fitness couch, just I'm going to give you an example. The guy on the left would be doing stupid shit.
So he'd be like, I post random content every day. And then the guy on the right, the guy that knows what he's doing would be like, I post two times a day every
day seven days of the week following the connection proof from value firmer. And then the guy on the left would be like, I never send DMs.
And then the guy on the right would be like, I sent a hundred DMs per day to people that are engaging with my content and follow me.
So it's like they're like you do like a back and forth. Another example of a format that's working right now is carousels.
So taking all the information that you want to deliver and instead doing carousels.
So when you're delivering the content, whether it's social proof connection, broad value or conversion value, you want to make sure that you're using formats that are producing views on social media.
And another one like just for everybody following along like the easiest format that you guys can do right now that is absolutely ripping is just opening up your phone and talking to the camera because raw talking videos have a lot more authenticity right now.
And I think people are craving that so that that is crushing. Now the last piece of advice that I want to give you in terms of not only growing your Instagram account, but also making money from it is post social proof every single day on your Instagram stories.
Like you have to post evidence that you're working with clients on your Instagram stories every day for me as an example, you know, we're gaining about a thousand followers a day on my Instagram account.
And all these people that are following me like they just met me for the first time. And so I want to make sure that all these people that are following me can consistently see that I'm working with clients that are getting great results.
Because if all these people that are following me go to my Instagram stories and they're always seeing every day me sharing a client that just had a fucking exponentially crazy result. It's like over time two things one all my new followers are going to know that I'm an expert.
But to all my current followers that watch my stuff every day are going to be conditioned to basically see their like oh this guy knows what the fuck he's talking about.
You know so post social proof every day on your stories whether that's a screenshot of a client window before an after number three months ago today this month this like anything that you can do to demonstrate that you're a subject matter expertise is very very very important.
I'm going to give you a couple more like tidbits because I want to help you guys make money.
tidbit number one many chat new father automation turn it on son negotiable many chat to deliver all of your all your freebie resources. So like if you're doing you know value post whether that's broad value or conversion value give away some sort of PDF or lead magnet.
So all you have to do is like like let's say it's like if I wanted to go from zero to a hundred came up doesn't only finish coaches what I do.
And then I give away the stuff and then I give away a lead magnet at the end of the video.
So use many try to deliver that that calls are always going to be booked in the DMs so the short form content will grab their attention and then the calls are actually going to happen in the DMs so use a DM script and book in calls and there's a sales process that works so again ideally use a sales script and on every single lead and you want to make sure that you want to do everything in your power to follow the script to close the deal.
So that's it if I had to go from zero to a hundred thousand followers in a hundred days that's the exact plan that I would follow hopefully you guys got some value from this podcast episode and you're able to take something away that you can use.
If you did get value again there's more episodes change lives make money podcast Apple Spotify iTunes all the places if you're listening to the podcast right now and you're getting value and you want to win a thousand dollars.
