10 Harsh Truths Every Man Must Accept To Stop Living Small and Build Real Power In Life and Work | Napoleon Hill

The transcription begins with an advertisement for Progressive's Name Your Price tool, which helps drivers find car insurance within their budget, eliminating guesswork and stress. It then shifts to a creative discussion about John Wick entering the DC Universe, tasked with surviving 12 hours against Batman villains like Joker and Manbat, with participants debating his chances. The main segment is a talk show where the host rants about Rick from Pawn Stars being legitimized, comparing him unfavorably to other cultural figures like Kid Rock and Jelly Roll. The host mocks Jelly Roll's appearance and music, noting his tour cancellation. The conversation moves to book recommendations, with a caller sharing his disappointment in "Hard Rain Falling" after trusting online reviewers, contrasting it with the enjoyable "The Last Picture Show." They also mention Anthony Jeselnik's book club and recommend "Stoner" by John Williams. The show ends with a caller proposing a musical performance for the 50th anniversary, but the host declines, citing their advanced age. Overall, the text blends advertising, pop culture commentary, and literary critique.

He's dropped into the DC Universe. He's specifically in Goffin. Okay. Now a bounty text goes out just like in the John Wick movie. Here are the Batman villains that are currently on the streets and not in Arkham. Joker, Firefly, Manbat, Zaz, Drawing Hilt, and Killer Crock. [Music] Yes, they're survived, 12 hours. Okay. Are the five working together? No, not the start. They could eventually team up, but you have to take into account wood. I'm gonna have a thread work with Joker. Can you get 12 hours? You got 12 hours. And once he passes the 12 hours threshold he's alive. Yep. He's gonna make up. Okay. With this lineup you've given me. You needed to give me one super power guy. Manbat is not a problem for John Wick. Yeah! What's up everybody? Welcome to another installment of the Best Show. You all know it is the best show. You know it. I know it. They know it. Everyone knows it. They might not admit it. They might try to say that some other thing is better than the best show. Mm-hmm. Now, we never said it's the most popular show. But it is the best show. And this is the one that lasts for eons. The one that when the little boy is at the bottom of the ocean and AI, he tells the people in the future all about. Now a kid called and would argue about a band called the Bear Naked Ladies. 201. 989. 0012. Do that's the number of you want to get in on the action. 201. 989. 0012. Call up. Be a part of the show. Won't you? We're doing a- we're keeping it loose tonight. Has a little open phone magic. And trusting you to be able to operate without a topic. I believe in you. Best show listener. I believe in you. 201. 989. 0012. So what's going on everybody? Fun times, right? We're all having a good- good week. Pretty exciting. Rick from Pond Stars at the White House. Very cool. Who couldn't have predicted that that they complete meathead from Las Vegas with a shaved head in a wildly defective family. Would feel vaguely superior to everybody inside with a- a monster, similar monster to him. Rick from Pond Stars. This is a testament to where we find ourselves sometimes. The idea that- was it bad enough that- look, maybe nothing's worse than Kid Rock. That's a Pentagon. Like that's one of those ones that if it was like- if I was writing that for man TV, they'd be like- nobody can even believe that because comedy comes from truth. And I would say you're absolutely right, Brian Callan. Comedy does come from truth. I'll make some adjustments on this next pass. Aries Spears. Now Kid Rock at the- at the Pentagon might take the cake, but- but Rick from Pond Stars. Now this is a guy who rips you off after you lose big at a casino. And he- he gives you pennies on the dollar for your watch. And he is now conducting himself as if he's- a distinguished person. And maybe he is. It's guys like that. Look, did anybody love polo shirts more than me? Ask yourself that. Did anybody love a nice polo shirt more than your guy Tom? The answer is- well there might be a few, but I was way up there. I was one of the top polo shirt endorses. Then when I see these- these slabs with the pol- like the way they- they- they- they just- look- look- look- look- look- look- the way these guys wear these polo shirts. They make the polo shirt into a cop out. These guys. They have turned the polo shirt into a giant side swipe. And look, they- they- they- they- they- they just look- they look like slabs. They ruined the polo shirt. I'll never wear another one again as long as I live because of guys like Rick from Pawn Stars. It starts with Rick. Then it goes to- yeah, thank you. Proud Boys, of course. Proud Boys ruined Fred Perry. Rick. To me, Rick started it off. The only thing this guy should be worried about is a pawn thing is if he gets himself a- a bowling ball cleaner. He gets his head in it. Polish his head. We want- we want- No. I know everybody's like, oh, it's got worse. It got worse. And it is getting worse. I know that. I agree it is getting worse. But somehow, when a guy like Rick from Pawn Stars becomes legitimized, the- the slope just got a little slipperyer. This is a guy who is a guy who argues over like look, as I'll say, you don't want to know what they're selling in the back room in this place. So I'm going to say, you don't want to know what's being sold in the back room. I'm not saying anything specific, but let's just say when someone comes in, give some sort of signal, they get shown the other merch. Maybe stuff that's a little less fun, let's just say. That's what's going on in the back room of. What's the name of the thing again, the golden silver? I think so, yeah, yeah, the golden silver. No, I can't, I can't be bothered with these guys. It's the end. Who's next? Who's that? That's what we're going to talk about tonight. Who's next? 201, 989, 0012, Kid Rock at the Pentagon, Rick from Pond Stars. Who's next? Who we got next, right? AJ and Big Justice at the Department of War. Rose Ann Ball? I say it. I can't help but say it the way Jaylen, I'll use to say, Rose Ann Ball. Thank you, Jelly Roll. And congratulations to Jelly Roll on his tour getting canceled. His amazing summer tour that he was doing with what's his face? Mike Malone. I'm getting getting canceled because people don't want to see that. You've got to go, I got to go to a football stadium and suddenly here from three quarters of a mile away. Somebody, help me. Is that the song? Somebody help me or save me? Andrew, you're a big fan. What's the Jelly Roll lyric? You know, I listen to it all the time and you just don't write it. But I just can't. Because you just vibe with the whole thing. Yeah. I know the words tone exactly stick. You know, it's not about the words as much as Jerry Roll. It's just a feeling. Now, Mike, do you know AP Mike? What song are we talking about? You know that Jelly Roll song where he's like, somebody help me. Does he say somebody help me or somebody save me? I think it saved me. Somebody save me. Yeah. Like, what's the big appeal with this guy? So the guy who looks like he'd break into your car has a nice voice. Is that it? Yeah. Yeah, I'm not sure. Like I said, I'm the one who thought post my loan was Jelly Roll after he got the shot. Well, they were doing the tour together. That's the tour that got canceled Mike. It's Mike. It's post Malone, not Mike Malone. Mike Malone is a coach of the Denver nuggets. I said post Malone. No, I said Mike Malone. You said post Malone. I. Yeah. I am. I just can't imagine you go and you see. These got these two guys. Look, I got no beef with post Malone. He seems like a nice enough sort. Kind of gives off like a shy of the booth vibe sometimes. And his appearance. Which one was in jail? Isn't there a turn his life around story to one of them? Well, Jelly Roll. Jelly Roll got pardoned by the governor of, I believe, Tennessee for the crime. He committed. Okay. Yeah. Well, I'm not even sure of his crimes. What were they? He's currently committing them against music. He's currently on the. He's currently on the run. We. We. Um, I don't know what his deal is. I have no idea what he. What did he rob somebody? Something like that. He robbed a bank. Something. Something crazy. Not. But yeah. So I know it's a big blow for music fans this week that the Jelly Roll tour got cancelled. And the pussycat dolls tour got cancelled today. So we are summer. Yeah, Mike. I got a lot of free time now and I got. Yeah. $10,000 back. Because I paid five, five K a pop. Yeah. Yeah. Now, when you go and you buy these tickets for a Jelly Roll concert and say you went on. Stubbs hubs or stub hub and you go. And you pay. Say you paid $1500 for a $500 ticket. And then the show gets cancelled. What's the. What's the. Do you get the $1500 back? That's a good question. Or do you only get the face value on the ticket back? I mean, I'd hope you'd get the whole thing back. I mean, I guess if you're marketing tickets on stub hub, they got to verify you some way, right? Yeah. It's not just, you know, some. Because I'm going to tell you to disappear. Mike, if they're not given the full refund back, you and I are about to go into business. I'm going to buy tickets, sell them to people. But we'll only do it for these tours that are going to go under. You know what I mean? Yeah. And we'll take advantage of like some Jelly Roll Superfan who like you guys got amazing tickets. $2,000. I'll do it. And the tickets were like 300. We're walking out for 1700 clear. Somebody's in the chat saying that it's, you get the whole price you paid back while there goes our business idea. That was nice while it lasted. Yeah. So, I have a possible topic for you, Tom. Yeah, Mike, what's that? I call it I was duped. Somebody recommends something to you and you like trust them. Yeah. Okay. Let me check this out. And it could be anything. Yeah. In my case, it was a book. I look at these, they call booktubers now. People talking about books on YouTube. I don't know if you've gone down that rabbit hole yet. I watched a couple people on Instagram. Do they're like book reviews like they do. I just read this book and it's. You know, like, and they say it's a really exciting book. And it seemed like they were well meaning enough. Yeah. Now, there's lots of well meaning people. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there's a couple guys from Massachusetts. I think the channel is called life on books. And, you know, they put themselves out there sort of authorities on books. Yeah. You know, of course, well, they're their top books and the hardest books you've ever read. You know, of course, they're super pinch on fans. Yeah. You know, it's a lot of that going on. Now, where are we at on pinch on, Mike? You where are we at? Can I give up finally? Can I finally, can I finally say? Yeah, not for me in this lifetime. I think his his last books sort of you can you can, yeah, regular readers could sort of find some enjoyment. I haven't read his last book. But I, you know, he sort of went to genre fiction and, you know, for him, doing these crime type stories, mysteries. So it was a way in. I kind of enjoyed those books. And you're talking about bleeding edge and. Yeah, bleeding hedge in her advice, the new one. Although I think the new one is not as well received as those two. Yeah. Look, I enjoyed inherent vice. And I thought that I truly thought the movie was better than the book, which almost never happens. That like, there was, I thought there was more depth in the movie than the book. Like there was a sadness. There was a sadness and a long end to the movie. I really like the ending. Yeah, but the book, the, because he's one of these dudes. And look, am I the most well read person? No, I'm not. I know that. It takes me six months to read a magazine at this point. And I'm talking about parade. I'm talking about like a long. I'm gonna say what magazine parade. - I pray okay, so. - Hi. Highlights would take me a month at this point. I'm not gonna suddenly pretend some smart book person. - Yeah. - But in the scheme of things, when you look at this Thomas Pinchon and he's got all these funny names in the book, you know what I mean? - Yeah. - We both-- - You like the Frinkle ball. - Like, you know. And then you look and you see the dude who did Guardians of the, no, no. What's the book? Space book. Funny. - It's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galactic. - I know, yeah. - And that guy liked funny. They both, is there any difference between these funny name people on some level? Not on, of course. Of course there's a difference in terms of, in terms of ability. I'm not gonna suddenly say I can't tell the difference between Douglas Adams and Pinchon. But they still love those silly names. - Yeah, some people, yeah. I never understood that thing. But anyway, these guys were talking up a book, which I was somewhat aware of. Hard, hard rain falling. Have you heard of that book? Don Carpenter? - No. - No. For your familiar with New York book review books, you know, they sort of put out a line of books. And I guess some people just think, wow, they put it out. It must be a great book, right? - Yeah. - So I think these guys I watch on YouTube, every book that they put it put out. Oh, it's genius, it's a classic, you know? So they literally did a video on this book. This book is genius, you know? The book came out in '66. It's not even a good crime novel. - Okay. - I mean, it is a crime novel. I mean, it's got quotes from Richard Price on the back. George Pelicano had this conversation. - George Spellcano, yeah. - Yeah, he wrote an introduction for it. So it's got some big names, you know, touting it and stuff. And the character is just like the biggest jerk I've ever come across in a book. And, you know, you have to keep going with it and it goes nowhere. It's all over the place. Just, yeah, I put it aside for a while. I picked up, I never read the book, the last picture show. I'm like, let me give this a shot. It actually came out in the same year in 1966. - Okay. - And I loved it. I mean, it was just like, yeah, this is a great book. You know, the characters, all the characters are interesting. I mean, it's pretty faithful to the movie. - Okay. - The only surprise for the book of the last picture show. - Yeah. - More sex. It was more sex in the book. - Okay. - I was like, oh, that was an interesting surprise for 1966. So yeah. - Okay, but you responded, you were into the book. - Yeah, so I mean, I did finish hard rainfalling, but I went back to the video. I had to get my two cents in, you know? - Yeah. - So I wrote, don't believe the hype. - So here we go. - Flat, flat, unlike a couple characters, meandering plot, unsatisfactory conclusion, overall very disappointing, two stars. Two stars. You got twice as many stars, Tom. - And so, yeah, well, thank you. And now I'm sure you got back people going like, well, I will agree to disagree with. (laughing) - Your opinion and. - Yeah, what I found about YouTube comments, if the video isn't today, nobody's responding, you know? Like everybody moves on, you know? It's like, nobody goes back to the old videos and I guess except me. - Now, have you been tracking Anthony Jezzelnik has a book club mic? - I don't know him. - The comedian, you'd know him if you saw him. He's really fun. I like Anthony a bunch. But he launched a book club. And I think he's got some pretty good recommendations in it, some interesting stuff. Like his book this month is, book I've never read, but a book I own. And I've been honestly wanting to read for a long time, stoner. - I read that, yeah. That's a New York book review book. - Okay, but that's a great. - But that's a book from like, it's like a, it's like, was it a hundred years old? Or about like. - No, it's not that old. - Okay. - I think it came out maybe 50s or 60s. - Okay, okay. - Yeah, he was writing like in the 60s and 70s. Actually, that's a great book. That is a great book. And then I like that book so much I read another book by Hank Wohl butchers Crossing, - Okay. - Which is a Western, and that's fantastic. I think I may even like that better. - Okay, yeah, 65 is when John Williams book stoner came out. Yeah, I was wrong. - Yeah, yeah. - Yeah, no, I'm, I'm, I think it's cool that he's doing it. He's very interested in it. He takes the books very seriously. And it's just, it's nice when somebody carves out a thing that is meaningful to them. So good for-- - Is that on YouTube or streaming sites? - If you search, if you just search Anthony Jezzelnick, book club, you'll get all the info on that. So-- - How long has it been going? - He really, he would do book recommendations at the end of the year. And then it's just in 2026 that he's like, we're gonna do it actually every month. So, yeah. - Okay, interesting. All right, let's check it out. - Well, Mike. - So yeah, so my topic is-- - You got to. - I was do, I was dooped. - So you feel you were dooped? - Yeah, I was dooped. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm like, come on, come on. People tighten it up. - Tighten it, thank you. You tighten it up. Now I'm gonna go to the phones. We'll keep talking, like we'll keep talking to the show. - Okay. - Don't worry. Don't worry. There's nothing better than the reveals on love's blind. I was having trouble finding them like I didn't have the patience to sit through like a whole show to see it or whatever. I fast forwarded a bit. I was like, I couldn't really find it. You know, I'm not a big reality. So, God, we got somewhere to be. We're gonna rush. Where do you got to be? That's so important. You got to fast forward through these things. Well, you're right. They miss I they miss something you running you running plant here. What's the I'm not sure what you run for? You run a fortune 500 company or something? No, I'm running a 5k. What do you do? See you the CEO of Pillsbury all of a sudden. You got you got to better things to do. So you're running a 5k. Yes. Now for what? Or for real? You're doing that? No. I don't think I could run 5k. You changed my mind. I would say this. Well, first of all, why did you say that? Like where on earth did that come from? Why? Why would you say I'm honestly curious how your mind's working on this one? Why would you say to me I'm running a 5k? Are you? No. What? What? Honestly, don't worry. Let's get him like has he been training? Yeah, let's just get to the bottom of this one and we're going to let it go. You'll never hear me mention 5k ever again. Not true. You know, you said are you running a fortune 500 company? No, but I'm running a 5k. You know, instead of being a greedy jerk with the company on being a good Samaritan, you know, but you're not well for an orphanage. You say you're doing it for an orphanage. Joel, right. The next time the or five K comes up, I'm going to really. Yeah. The only thing I can say, Joel, you you've run you've run a 5k before because somebody was chasing you. You'll be as charged like I'm going to say you've run a few five days in your time. We're just like maybe you stopped and hid behind a car every once in a while. I want to hear this is a great story. I'm not sure it'll work. It's not the first time I was ever apprehended or you know put in a police call, but it's the first time I was ever in like a jail cell. Yeah. You want to hear it's funny though. It's not just like a war. I always have something funny. And really I need one of you guys to help me and it involves two people saying something at the same time. And with the little delay that there is on the phone calls, it might not work. But anyway, it was a summer job. I was like 15. Hold on. Hold on. Wait, wait, hit and time out for a second. You're you're going to tell another story. And I have to say things in it. We got a lot of things in it. Yeah. It might not work because of the delay. Joel, you're I got to say this was a casino. The pit boss is starting to hover around watching your dealings now. They're they're just somebody has like touched their thing to say like watch this guy. Something might happen. All right, go ahead. Go ahead. Okay. Little background. In the mid 80s. I saw a 15. The other young person involved. We worked at the same place and we walked like a mile from the place to the local train station, which is in the town center like suburban town. There's so much. And there's a parking lot at the train station and there's you know, bank and whatever different businesses around. And I don't know if I was getting a soldier or whatever my buddy can listen to says, Oh, I just scored man. The cars windows are open in this parking lot and I got grads from change, you know, so like I said, dude, I mean, not, you know, just people everywhere. As soon as I'm saying that, this woman comes out. She's a bank teller from the bank. And she says, I saw you going in my car, you know, I called the cash. Here they are now because the compensation was literally across the street from this parking lot in the bank. And she's like laughing. And I'm like, Oh my god, I'm like, oh, the women's in Boston, or guilty by association. But anyway, the cop rolls up and he's his older dude and he's like, oh, Ignacio, he's like, all right, what's going on, guy? And he said, we being the other dude, we say, oh, we thought it was our friend's car. So, you know, we went inside, we want to put, you know, some crappy. So the cops says, oh, what was you? What's your friend's name? So at the same time, on the count of three, Mike, you say, build the Fabio. Can you say that? Yeah, build the Fabio. Okay. All right. So he says, all right. So what's your friend's name? One, two, three, John, John, John, John, I didn't work. I didn't work. I said John, Quacken, but she was, which is a guy we both knew. But the other dude said, build the Fabio. Like we, we had no plan at all, you know, which we both said, we leave different names at the same time. So the cops like, oh, I'm God, you know, like he's like, oh, swell up and got excited. So I said, I said to the other kid, I said, book, which means like run away, right? So he started to run the dudes just grab them with one hand, threw them on the ground and sat on top of them. So I'm standing there and like, well, there's no way I'm going to hit this cop. I guess I just got to stand here and wait for his backup because he's on his radio saying, I mean, but we're here with ever. We didn't abandon those another cop car there. And they hauled us both down and put us in the cell while waiting for my dad to come get me, you know, and they brought these, then while we're sitting in the cell, they brought these two, look, wait, seven and eight year old black kids and we're like, see what happens when you break the law, you end up with these two guys at a point that is, and we're just like kids ourselves, you know, children, basically. But when my brother, well, I guess I just can't even wear it. It's my brother who is with me. When we tell the story, we both say the two different names at the same time is really funny. And when you hear the difference in the names, yeah, I hope it made me smile or like, Joel, it was like such a rookie mistake. John Quack and Bush build a fabulous, like at the exact same time, that was John Quack and Bush. All right, Joel. Thank you for the, I appreciate the stories. I appreciate that. Of course. You have a great night. Good guy. Good guy. I'm running a 5K. What? Why? Why would? What would compel somebody to say they're running a race that they're not running? We shouldn't be able to run one now. Should make them run a 5K or he's not allowed back on the show. Looking at the chat. Boy, this guy George Toledo does not like Joel. This guy's going off hard. He's all mad. He's all mad. I haven't listened to it a few weeks, so I turn it back on and it's Joel again. I do want to say that John Sterling, the great announcer, passed away. One of the funniest people, look, he was the Yankees announcer. And he is responsible. A little piece of best show, best show of history. He is the, uh, that's him. Hope you have enjoyed this program. You served Sterling. You did it. We salute you. There's nothing better than guys like that. These, these, announcers, these characters, the personality. Who buck to buck? An oboe, to belly. When he would yell stuff like that. Like, yeah. He's better than that. Whether or so, so listen to Joe Buck. No thanks. So we've been talking about this, uh, scary movie six. Trying to predict the jokes that will be in scary movie six. And we have come up with, what do we have so far? That'll be in scary movie six. Pock to a girl, uh, some sort of Kendrick Lamar Drake reference. What were some other ones we talked about? Oh, I guess a Kanye joke. There'll be some sort of Kanye joke. There'll be some AI reference. What else? Okay, we'll Smith in the slap. Of course, there'll be some sort of Elon Musk thing wicked Taylor Swift and Epstein files joke. A reference to the bar the Barbie movie. I mean, look, there's of course there's going to be some sort of Trump thing, right? What else is there going to be? All right, let's take a call. Let's take a call. Back to the phones. Back to the phones. 201989. 0012. Hello, best show. Hey, Tom. How's it going? This is Nicole Nicole. Now this is Nicole from Chicago. So exciting to hear you. How are you, Nicole? I am tired. I'm key. I are ED. What about you? I'm, I'm, I'm hanging in there. I'm doing my best. Trying to, yeah, trying to keep it going, trying to keep it going, doing what I, doing what I can. Are these easy times for your guy, Tom? No, they're not. There's things going on on a personal level. I'm just, you know, you can family stuff. All you can do is just try to keep going. That's what you can do. And that's what I'm doing. Yeah. Now, how are things in Chicago? What, what, what's going on in Chicago? Right? What's the weather like? The weather is beautiful. You know, it's doing the Midwest spring where it could be like just under 50, then it could be 80 and everyone who's lived here for freaking goddamn decades will be like, oh, you're going to get a little water tonight. Like, yes, you can. It's always been like this. But, um, I guess that's what you just do for a small park, but I like it. I like this pinballing weather because I wait all, I keep my mouth zipped all winter. I don't say anything about the cold because I do not like the heat. So in the summer, everyone's so excited to go outside and then it's like 90, and like 90% humidity and I. Oh, I'm not happy. Yeah. You, I'm enjoying this. You like to play it close to the vest? Could we put the air on in here for a moment, please? Sure. Yeah, I don't think you can complain all year. Like you have to pick one. Yeah. Because then you just clearly something's wrong with you and you need to just figure out a way to live indoors. If you're old or you need to leave Chicago. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Now, which? Yeah. What city do you think Chicago has a lot of people who fancy themselves to be tough? You think so. Yeah. Yeah. Of course, Brooklyn, we've talked about that many times. People think, I'm tough. I'm from Brooklyn. Like if somebody's trying to say that they're tough from Chicago, what do they say? There's Southside Chicago. Is that like where you'd be the tough person? Eastside. I don't know. Southside or West. Southside or Westside. If you want to have any, but I don't think those are really the two. Yeah. I don't. Yeah. Southside or Westside would be like where you would get any Jacob Jacob just hit the nail on the head. There will be a squid game reference in scary movie six. Anapharas will take part in a squid game. I could not agree with that one more. So when. Yeah. So that's how people in Chicago like I'm from the I'm from the sea side. I'm tough. Now West side. The West side. I'm from the West side. I'm tough. Southside. Southside. Westside. Yeah. You hear more Southside because that's like, oh, I was like I was stupid. What are some other cities that claim to be tough? Like I mean Philly right Detroit. Yeah. Philly. Philly. Philly. People see the thing is Philly people don't necessarily claim to be tough. They claim to be insane. Like you don't know what I'm going to do. Like that seems to be the vibe from Philly people. It's like I'm out of control. Not that I'm being tough is part of who I am. Being nice is another part of who I am. I'm bonkers. You spin the wheel. Spin the wheel and see what it lands on. And that's how I will be acting. Yeah. Hitchbott. Like you didn't have to be tough to murder. Hitchbott. Now they did. They got that robot. Man. That robot was going from coast to coast. Worse thing that robot ever did was roll into Philly because then these maniacs trashed it. They immediately trashed the robot. They couldn't wait to get their mits all over this robot trying to show everybody what time it is. What about Boston? Boston? Do they think they're they think they're not tough at all. But they get you know you're right. Salfi. The salfi people. They fancy themselves tough guys. Yeah. It seems like they yeah they think they're they think they're pretty. Yeah. Now the people of Philly should be ashamed for what they did to that robot. So it's so it's so unnecessary. Considering all the terrible robots that are about to enter our society. Yeah. Like this was the last pure. Yeah. Let me just say one thing. They just put a picture of the robot on a screen. I never heard Andrew laugh as hard as he did at the smashed robot. He's from Philly. He's got to be a little more. I think he would actually heard Brett more, but yeah. That's Philly Andrews got in and now he's blaming Brett. See, that's another Philly move. He's deflecting. I just saw the photo. It's very sad. I hope this robot comes back and trash his Philly. That's what this is what I'm going to say. Robots. If you're out there, robots. Remember the people who were sad for the smashed hitchbot. Tom. And remember the city that smashed hitchbot. I'm going to say Philly's in trouble. In the next five years, there's going to be a robot invasion in the name of hitchbot. I wouldn't want to be. Yeah. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Philly. In the next five years, these robots are coming for you. Is that funny now? They'll be like, is it funny now? You know, like I don't see you laughing as like they're rolling the Liberty bell down the street, like knocking over people from Philly. They could be headed by Zingbot from Big Brother. Have you ever watched Big Brother? I'm not allowed to. Yeah, I can't anymore. There's too many episodes. What there's an episode every year where this robot. That's not a robot comes in and it's far enough into the show that you know all their personalities. And it like does a roast of all of them. And it's like, Zing, it's actually usually really funny. Yeah, Big Brother has some really charming things, but too many episodes in the summer when there's stuff to do. Well, I'm saying right now, robots. I'm, of course, I'm human and I'm going to have to stick with the humans in the robot human war. But all I'll say is open for business robots. Open for business. What if humans done what a sacrifice Philly, what if humans done that I should be so wanting to defend human souls, sudden these robots show up. I'm side with the robots. Well, if they're going after Philly, I'm side with the robots. It's what they did the hitchbot. Now we forget hitchbot. And then like they've flamed or was mounted to their to their heads. What's like one more city you would, you would vote to have the robots take down. What city should the robots take down? Austin, Texas. Just picturing Joe Rogan, picture Joe Rogan trying to defend Austin against a robot invasion. Right. Is that where he lives? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Just picture him. The robots are coming. And now suddenly it's every comedian, every comedian's joining into fight the robots. Tony Hinchcliffe. Something you got Tony Hinchcliffe, Brian Callan, Brendan Shawab. They're all helping defend the city. We got to defend our city against these robots. Well, technically we've only lived here for 18 months, but it's our city. We got to protect the mothership. The robots are coming for the comedy mothership. Yeah, he'd be convinced they could beat them because the robots don't eat meat. So they'd be convinced he's stronger. You need to load up on elk meat. For him. Good. High protein. I got some elk jerky. All the comedians meet me. Meet me at the everyone. Meet me at the comedy mothership. We're going to load up on elk meat and then we're going to take it to the robots. And we got all the greats are here. Tony Hinchcliffe, David Lucas, Brendan Shawab, Brian Callan. We can beat these robots. Please let me see that. Let me watch that movie. Yeah. Let me actually not move. Let me watch that documentary. I want to see that as a documentary. Yeah, I just want to watch it live as it's happening. How great would this be? It's quiet at night. And you have Joe Rogan, you have all the comedians are armed on the street. And then they're like wondering when it starts, then all of a sudden you hear robot. And it's like the deaf punk robot thing. Robot. And then all the robots come rolling and we know like. And now they're like trying to like fight the robots. Realizing the bolts are bouncing off the robots. The cold plunge just did not prepare them. Yeah. I'm going to hide in my cold plunge. He tries to hide in his cold plunge. The robots trap a minute. The robots trapped Joe Rogan in his sauna and turn the heat all the way up. Oh my god. We want more like a hot dog. Well, we don't know. I don't know. What is that song called? I don't know the name. I can't remember. Which is the one that's like better. Vans don't. Stronger. Like that. That's all taken from said robot. I can't remember it. Robo rock robot. Harder faster. Stronger. Man. I'm ran. I'm frown. That knit with Kanye West couldn't even sample the right version. The right part of that. And he couldn't even get the right part of of a skitzoid man. Yeah. Rob. That'll be the great. I think this is this has to happen. Yeah. And then Nashville will be they'd have to absorb all of their bachelor at parties. So that's all that would be going out in Nashville 100%. The robots would start rolling into Kid Rock's bar like they'd be going toward Kid Rock's bar. We got to beat these robots. We can do it. This is what you hear. And here comes just like the role pictures. Just the robots coming down to write down six avenue or whatever street it is there. And then they stop. And now there's like flying all over the place. There's robots with wings. They're just doing everything. Joe Rogues like we gotta stop these robots. Yeah, this is. Now if that was a movie. I think this is Kid Rock's bar. If that is a movie. Well, I said be the best movie. Yeah. I just saw Grenlins this year. So like the robots go into Kid Rock's bar and they just start. 3D in the bartender the way the Gremlins do and Gremlins. But you just saw Gremlins for the first time? I know right. When I was a kid, my parents paid a Gremlins. My brother and I to watch. They did a Gremlins. No one in this house is going to watch this movie. Gremlins. Yeah, they're probably worried we'd feed the dog after midnight. Yeah, they didn't want us to watch scary movies because to be fair. This is why they didn't want us to wake up to wake them up having nightmares. So much so that when I saw when we watched Indiana Jones and the the Grail, the one with the Nazis at the end. I give my brain my my my number of the lost ARC Thank you, readers of the law stark. I only watch it like 20 times. Yeah, but when we first watch it when we were young my mom. Bット it through when the Nazis faces melted, she didn't want us to get scared. Well, I gotta just say you missed a valuable life lesson at that point because Nazis not good. And they got punished for not being good. Yeah, I thought they. We got to get this robot. I'm telling you, I got to get this robot movie going. You try to be there probably about to come out tons of robot movies. Yeah, but just the idea of like robots fighting Austin comedy the Austin comedy scene be amazing. Like the one robot sees like he sees like a banner and it says kill Tony on it and he takes that as like a command kill Tony must kill Tony and Tony Hinchkov is like no, no, don't kill me like begging is forgiveness. Please robots, please. He would sell out humanity to the robots. One second, he'd flip teams. Oh, see I'm a triple agent. I'm pretending that I'll sell out to the robots. Humans number one, the trap. He'll sell everybody out. He'll be like robots. They went that way. Like he'll point. Yeah, yeah, you know, save me. They're in that. Who are you looking at the cast Rogan? They're hiding in that food truck. Robots. Great movie. We got to make this happen. The Austin comedy scene versus fighting. And it's like, it's it's like we get Elon Musk. Like he's the reason that it all starts like that adult. Like he starts the robot war somehow. Yeah, of course. Yeah, that's perfect. Okay, I'll start with Groc. But Groc will help start the war. He'll be on Groc. Thank you. In the chat, the vulgar roast is what starts will. It's Groc. You can do a vulgar roast. It's really do a vulgar roast. And then like the roast is too vulgar for the robots. And then they push back. Yeah. And that would really get like the Rogan crew pretty upset. Yeah. And Elon Musk, Elon Musk has like some like cyber suit that like he exo skeleton that like he's kept secret whole time. Stay put, Joe. And Joe say put yeah, I'll be back in a moment. And he shows up in his like exo skeleton. Like he thinks he's Iron Man, all of a sudden. He's gonna like fight the robots. Yeah. Then the robot, one robot just like flips his sweat. Suddenly he like takes control of the exo skeleton. And he's like, why are you punching yourself? And like because it's like keeps hitting himself. I'm not I'm not you're making me hit myself. I'm not saying I would get that. Yeah. He's that he's actually would work like a three-stupe Joe. He would just keep saying I'm not. Yeah, I'm not hitting myself. Make me stop. This is this is a hit movie. All we need is RFK Jr. to be in it. And then we're good to go. He's like, yeah, I know. He has like something he thinks, we'll pull over mecton on the robots. And then like he flies over with a crop duster, spring, I've remecton on the robots and it only makes them stronger somehow. And I'm like, I mean, it's often it's hot too. So he's not wearing your shirt. Yeah, no, it's also really hot also. It's so hot and sweating. Gross. This is amazing. We got to follow the work. Yeah. Logan's like, wedding like a hot like one of those roller hot dogs at a 7-11. This is okay. This is what I need for the logo. I need the logo to be R-O. B-O-T-R-O-G-A-N robot. Rogan. Like rog robots versus rogan. Somebody please. This is definitely very robot. Hello, Joe. You know, last special was bad. Oh, no. What? Oh, no. What? I don't see these rogan images and I'm, oh, I'm watching the YouTube Tom. I'm yeah. Wow. I'm getting scarred. Oh, God. Yeah. I'll get ready. All right, Nicole. Thank you. Yeah, whoever you guess. What do you got for anything else? I'm gonna, because I'm gonna, I gotta keep, I don't want people to be very cold too. I'm not good at scary movie, but my two guesses are like since it's been a long time. They'll do something maybe with the green M&M, maybe. The green M&M. I think for sure. Maybe. It's the, but I think for sure, because no terrible comedian can let this go ever. It doesn't even have to do with the Epstein files Clinton or one of the Clintons, one of the Hillary or, but like the Clinton jokes, they just, I think they might still be going on. I bet you they can't resist. They're not going to be able to resist like some sort of sleepy Joe joke and then they'll have, I think they'll go all the way back to Clinton, you know, or there'll be something where it's like, there'll be like Obama and person at her and he'll just be like, now do you miss me? Everybody, you miss me? You have to be like, it'll just be doing that thing like, the kid with the city is president. Like some kind of thing like that. Yeah. All right, Nicole. I'm not gonna, you'll see it. You'll see it. No more. Probably. All right. Round, bot. Be the coolest movie ever, right? Come on. Oh my god. It's going to be the greatest Bert Kreischer torn in half by a robot. These robots will be cool. I think I can talk to these robots. Hello, Betia. Hey Tom. Hey, who's this? Hi, Tom. It's Dominic. Dominic. Where are you calling from? Dominic? I'm calling from Austin Texas. Oh, the location. We're going to be filming there a bunch soon. I know. I'm going into hiding soon. You know that Austin is going to be on the on the robot's hit list. Definitely. I mean, all the data centers are building around here. It's going to be they brought down, they bring down Philly and then everybody in Austin's like the robots are coming for us. The robots are going to work. We're next. They already said they're going to get us. Yeah. Oh my god. The best thing would be all the people in Austin are running from the robots. All that people in Texas, not just the people. There's good people in Austin. Of course, there's a coop. Let me see the robots attack coop. I don't want to see that. Although maybe they take over his turntable and make the records fly all over the place. Like when he gets hit, he gets hit. Maybe he drives his hot rod through. Maybe he saves. Maybe he helps save one of the secondary characters in one of the top rods. I think coop rolls in in a hot rod. But then one of the robots takes control of his turntable and he gets hit in the forehead by a sweet 45 single by the sweet. He gets hit a copy of. He gets hit in the copy of Fox on the run. Yeah. So the roads, but you know, they're coming. He's been DJing around here. But they're going to come. Of course he's DJ. He's a coop. Of course, he's a music. He's great. I'm glad he's DJing. The robots are going to come. The people of Texas are running. Where do they run? Where do they run Dominic to get away from the robots? That's right. The border. Right. Classic. And then they are ruined. They are halted by their own wall. They're all against the wall trying to climb it and then a robot like because it's a robot just like pulls the thing and the wall falls on all of them. A crushes them. I love it. What's it like being an Austin? What is it? What is it actually like all kidding aside? I was here for I grew up in Texas and then I moved here after college, up in here quite a long time. It was still okay. I mean, it's still a great place to have fun and go out. But well, everything's so much more expensive. What report card grade would you have given Austin 10 years ago. 10 years ago, A minus. A minus. What would be your report card grade? 15 years ago. 15 years ago would be what? I think it's even better 15 years ago. Okay, so it's like an A. So it's got an A. What would you give 10 and then 10 years ago in A minus? What would be your current report card grade for Austin, Texas? B minus the incomplete, but we've got some incomplete assignments that might take the whole thing. So a B minus, you went from an A minus to a B minus. Well, great. Where do you think by the year 2031, five years from now, if you see where Austin, the road Austin is on, what do you think would be the report card grade for Austin in five years? Well, the trends are not good, you know, but I think there are things that can be done to salvage it. I think anybody that's a lot of people like me, my wife, we're kind of like trying to figure out if we need to really have a escape plan. I don't mean in the sense of like emergency escape. I mean, should we relocate? Should we find somewhere that's just more affordable, more friendly toward our politics? In the chat, somebody saying right now they would give Austin a C or a D. Well, there's still a lot to do and there's still really good people here and there's still a possibility for our possibility for good music. Got Bill Callahan here. I was going to ask you about him. Well, what's he doing? What's he doing? Concert every day? No, he's on the board. He lives there. Yeah, he lives there. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Not exactly. Yeah, okay. Can't exactly stake your claim on because a guy who puts an out amount of every four years lives there. I don't, I haven't seen Sabrina Ellis around or I don't know. They're getting out. They're getting out. Yeah, giant dog is going to be the first band out. Survival wise, they're escaping. Oh, yeah. They're saving some people. Yeah. So, yeah, we still plenty of great people here and still, you know, there's always nice things to do, nice amenities, but kind of sucks now. Though, you can feel it. I mean, you can see all of those comedians you were talking about. They just have, they just had this impact. It doesn't matter about the six three areas because nobody of any, you know, not too many people that don't really go there if you would. You know, you know, yeah. And it's kind of like a time square type situation. I'm not exactly the same, but wait, it's a time square type situation. You mean it's the worst place on the planet? Have you been to time square? Have you ever been to time square Dominic? Yes, I have. Once briefly, it's not good. And that's what I'm saying about, that's what I'm saying about that entire area around that comedy. Okay. The mother shit. Yeah. You wouldn't, nobody would go there willing, nobody would any sense about them would, would go there willing. Wow. Look. Philly will fall to the robots, Austin will fall. It's going to take some real heroes to save the day. And you know who's going to do it? Go. Yours truly. I love it. You know why? What choice have you got? This is going to be my catchphrase, not all heroes, where capes, some heroes smoke vapes. And it's going to be me and my vape trilliquism. I'm going to dress my vape trilliquism dummy up to be like a robot and I'll trick the robots. And I blow that, but he's wired. He's wired. He's fulfilled with dynamite. The end. So anything else, anything else, Dominic, you want to say? Yeah. Okay. A couple of things. My two little kids, they were four. We have plenty of stuff. Okay. Well, it's very kind of you to offer it, but we're good. We're good. Okay. And I wanted to ask you. I did want to ask you a couple of things. One thing was about a while back, you were playing some tracks from the Lou Reed album with Coney Island Baby on it. I guess that's the album Coney Island Baby, right? Yes, that'd be the album. You were playing one about Charlie's girl, right? Yep. And I don't know if you have ever heard the one called Crazy Feeling. The song Crazy Feeling? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I know the song. It's not something I've played a million times, but I know that song. I just think it's really unique. It sounds different from most of his other stuff. And it's weird to me. It really sticks out. Okay. So give it another listen if you have a chance. All right. I'm going to check out. I'm going to check out my mind because we'll check out Crazy Feeling by Lou Reed as recommended by Dominic. And I appreciate the recommendation. Okay. Thank you, Dominic. You like? Thanks. 201989 0012 is the number again, the best show, flea market, garage sale, whatever. Saturday, May 16th. What else did I need to talk to you about best show listeners? Well, talked about Rick from porn stars. I want to talk about the best dog accounts on Instagram. Which are the best ones? We got so many great dogs on Instagram. With so many, look, I spent half. I thought I looked at these dogs, Vader, the cute dog Vader is. I believe Vader is a border collie. Then of course there's Franny and Gracie, two dogs that are goofing around and run out to go meet the mailman every day. We'll keep talking about that throughout the show. I'm going to go back to the phones though now. We got phones galore going on here, 201, 989, 0012. But we got, we got hot phones tonight folks, busy phones, hot phones, and we're going to go to those busy hot phones right now. And take some calls at 201, 989, 0012. Hello, best show. What's up Thomas Nick, out in Funkbridge, how's it going? Good, good. How are you doing Nick? I'm good. Have you been here? Funkbridge. I've been through Funkbridge. I never really stopped though. I get to be completely honest. Even if you've only driven through, you'd know that the funk is deep, right? Yeah, I could pick up on a general energy from the place. Yeah. The vibe. Yeah, it's a vibe of vibe. Yeah. Hey, you were talking about dog accounts. Yeah. I followed this dog who has a full time job in a hardware store. Okay. Crazy. Like he, he works the register, goes and gets specific items. It's crazy. Really? So the dog just fetches different things. And runs the register. Wait, the dog runs the register? Yes, it's crazy. Yeah. Yeah. All with his mouth like, like, you know, rings it up with like his, his, his paw. But then like if he has to slide a card for payment, they'll do that with his mouth. Okay. Wow. That's a, that's a pretty, pretty smart dog, huh? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, speaking of pooches. Yeah. I really screwed one tonight. Well embarrassed. Well, what, what, what, what happened, Nick? I think I might have gotten tonight's topic wrong. Okay. Well, what, what, what, what did you think the topic was? I thought it was what's an incident in your family's past that so bizarre it would make for a great podcast series. So what is it? What is a, what is an incident from your family's past that you feel would make a great podcast series. Is that what you thought it was? That's, that's pretty much word for word, what I just said. Yeah. I'm pretty good like that. I can kind of, you are. Yeah. You hear well. Thank you. And I, I try to speak as well as I hear it's a, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's a whole thing. It's both the year what's called a, um, here what's called a, uh, what do they call that when a guy played both, uh, offense and defense. A two way player 60 minute man or something else, two way player. Yes. Yes. Uh, the new meaning, man, probably, but well, that was not the topic. Okay. Um, well, did you have an example? I have a really, I think I have a great one. Yes. I got to hear it. Okay. Are you ready? Yeah. My father was in an early version of Divo, but had to quit because he was omnis. Okay. Hold on. I need to write. This is a lot to digest. Intriguing. Yes. Yes. So your father was in the band Divo. Yes. But you said he had to quit because he was omnis. That's exactly what I said. Worked the word pretty much again. Yeah. I guess I'm, I'm on a pretty, pretty hot streak here with the, are. Yeah. So your hearing is whatever 20, 20, 20, is that what the hearing is? If it's good. That's eyesight. That's eyesight. Tell me about that. I think it's you a buddy, you're a buddy, ears of crystals. That would be safe. I think that might be it. Yeah. That might be it, man. That's good. Tell me about this. Why you're all about your dad being in divo. Okay. So my dad grew up in a part of rural Ohio, where there was a pretty decent amount of omniscient men and night families. And his his family was omnis. So he spent the first several years of his life being omnis. And you're familiar with rum springer, right? Yes. That's the just I mean, it's a it's a it's a period where young omnis like like teens, I guess, or in their early 20s, I'm not sure when. Exactly. Late teens early 20s. Yeah. So they kind of go on on what? Like a like a getaway? I don't exactly know the specifics of it. So, you know, they're in that that area between filming a teenager and an adult. So they are given the opportunity to go into the the straight world for like what they call the English world for. It can be a year, year and a half to two years. And they just kind of see what it's like. And if they want to stay out there and they rarely do from what I understand. So, you know, I act like the year and a half after kind of getting their kicks. They'll come back to the family farm and, you know, live out their rest of their lives omnis, right? Okay. So my dad does this. So we're talking like early to mid 70s. And so he leaves the farm, gets an apartment near Kent State. And gets a job on campus. It's like a handyman. You know, he can be kind of fix all kinds of stuff. So. Okay. He was he was he was he was odd looking. He still had kind of the omnis beard, but he was trying to blend in with, you know, what teenagers were dressing like in like 74 75, right? Okay. Okay. So it's an odd look. Mm-hmm. So odd that that the Kassal brothers think he would fit great in this weird band they're forming with Mark mother's ball. Mm-hmm. Right? Okay. Wow. This is very interesting. Yes. It's very weird. So my dad couldn't play anything, you know, because he was omnis. There were no instruments or anything. There's certainly like no modern instruments. So, but they want him they want him in the group. So he banged a drum along with this other weird guy. They found him Fred. And so, but my dad over the course of like this year and a half gets great at drums. It's like he was he was it's like it was his reason for living. He was so good like shockingly good. Anyway. So he got so good that you know, Chrissy Hines, she was part of that Kent State world at that time also. Yes. Yes. So she moved to England and my dad was so good she wanted to fly in over there to form a band with him. Crazy, right? Wow. So Chrissy Hines was so receptive to his talent, I guess, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But he's in Divo now too. So, but my dad had so much omnis guilt, which is is documented as being 42% heavier than than Catholic guilt even, right? Okay. So he has so much guilt that he went back to the family farm just before Divo started to get really serious. So, um, so he bailed on the band? I mean, he exactly yes. Yeah. Yeah. Now, and he always regretted it. That's what I was wondering. I wondered how he felt about it in retrospect. He ended up leaving the church again after about five years and he said the reason was he couldn't stop thinking about how much he loved the feeling of connecting with other musicians and the audience and just being one with everybody. Also that non-stop creative swirl that you're in and the freedom to express ideas freely without an oppressive religion breathing down your neck, all that stuff. Wow. It made a huge impression on him. Yeah. But my dad said the thing that he missed most was probably the drugs. OK, wow. I didn't know that was going to be a part of this. Oh, love getting high. Oh my god. It's all he could talk about was all the drugs and how fun it was. And he loved, he said he loved the drug the field sex. But the drug part of that equation was the part he couldn't do without if he was forced to, without one of them. OK, that's pretty honest first of all. Yeah, very, very. So I came along about nine months after he made love with a woman he met at a pair Ubu concert. Maybe was Lochner's solo. I'm not really sure of the details. OK, yeah. So he really, he was on the scene, huh? Very, very, yeah, so odd for an homage guy. I have a weird post script to this story. Oh, what is it? My wife, her ex-husband was guided by voices but was asked to leave because he was John Wayne Gacy's nephew. All right, I need to get the details on this correctly. This started with your, your ex. My, my current wife, her ex-husband, your current wife, pre-he was husband. Yes, yes. He was in God by voices. But yes, he played bass on a couple tours between under the bushes and Magier Wigg. But when they found out he was John Wayne Gacy's nephew, my memory is Gerard thought it was going to cast a pall over the band and he wanted him replaced. OK, wow, that's. Yeah, I mean, just because I guess it was seen as being just unpleasant that he would have been John Wayne Gacy's nephew, as I would you said. Yeah, yeah, I think they just thought it would be a topic of interviews and they just didn't want to. He thought they shouldn't have to deal with that. But it's weird because it's surprising when you consider that Gerard was, if not a murder junkie, he was a Texas Nazi at one point, right? Yeah, I guess you're right. I guess Gerard was, he had some, he had some roots with, with, with, with the Scum Rock World. Yeah, in the Scum Rock World. He was, he was definitely a player. Yeah, so. Wild stuff, right? So that's my damage or. Um, fraction of it. Well, no, that's, that's a, that's a pretty wild story there, Nick. It is. Yeah, yeah. God, I felt good to tell, to tell that story. I really haven't told it much and I got to say you're so easy to talk to. Oh, thank you. I mean, I think I feel comfortable telling you this. I mean, I've, I've never told this to anybody. Okay. Well, I'm, I'm curious to hear and I, I'll be receptive to it. So. All right. Um, speaking of dads, um, oh boy, uh, I'll just come out and say it. I'm going to buy a special car all the time. But what, what was that? That was very hard to think, uh, decipher. I blackmailed my best friend's father all throughout high school. Okay. Wow. I almost wish I could go back to when I couldn't understand it. No, nothing dirty. I'm not okay. So you blackmailed me. I know what you mean. It's we, it's a, we, well, that's why I haven't sent me anything. Sure. Anybody about it? It was your best friend's father? Yes. Yeah. All right. So. Yeah. How did this come about in the 80s? All right. Okay. So it's the 80s. Um, my best friend's name is Matt and, you know, after what I told you about my dad's upbringing, he, you know, he made a conscious decision to help me have an easier time finding my way in life than he did, right? Okay. So he found out that I wanted to study film. I was really into movies as a teenager and I wanted to be a director, right? Okay. So he saved up for months and bought me one of those early VHS, um, or they call it camcorders, right? Mm-hmm. So I was always filming stuff and often with my best friend Matt, right? Okay. So Matt's father was a VP at current pharmaceuticals, so they had major cash, right? Uh-huh. And they lived in this big old house that was the perfect setting for these horror films that Matt and I would make. They're pretty good, but they were super influenced by those early Trent L Strauss films. Okay. Okay. So, yeah. So we made a handful of low budget films that were really inspired by Strauss. Um, I remember the titles, um, locker room rituals, the computer war bloody shoes, um, sanguine ancient station. I think our best one was what the table saw saw. What the wait, that title is confusing to me. Will you say it again? But the table saw saw. Oh, okay. I got you. So the, in that, with the title of that means that the table saw saw something. Exactly. Okay. The table saw was an, an innocent table saw that just happened to be in a wood shop that was used for, um, like torture sessions. Mm hmm. But it didn't participate in any of them. So. Sure. It's just like the logical thriller. No, it sounds pretty intense. It is. It's in, well, yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh, so anyway, so one day I was filming an exterior shot at, uh, at Matt's house, right? Mm hmm. And from where I stood, I could see both the front and the back of the house. And so my shot started at the back of the house. What do I see through the viewfinder? A disheveled, clearly post, you know what woman, putting her clothes back on running out the back of the house. And I don't see it, but I can hear the familiar sound of Matt's mother's amsy pace or pulling into the driveway, right? Uh huh. Recipe for disaster, you know? Disad, yeah, this is bad. Yeah. So, you know, obviously Matt, Matt's father is doing the obelisk business with the divorcee from four houses down. And I pan up to a second floor window. Matt's dad is standing there shirtless, putting his clothes back on. He doesn't see me though. He doesn't know I have all of this on tape. Okay. Right? Yeah, yeah. Okay. So I think I think you know where this is going. This happened around the first week of 10th grade, you know, it's the first year of high school. And Matt and I were inseparable. So I was always at his house and he was at mine. And so about four months after this happens, Matt, me and another guy form a band. Okay. And we're going to practice in that basement for the first time. And so we got there and we're having a blast. So after about two hours, there's this just horrific banging on the door, right? Like someone wants to kill us. And so it's crack and then you hear that's enough. It's Matt's dad and you know, the wheel when the door and he goes, I have work tomorrow. You guys suck. It's so loud and it sounds so bad. I'm not going to stand for this anymore. It was exactly like that, that amazing practice room argument between Kurt and his dad before madman on DRIs dealing with it album, right? Oh, yeah, yeah. Okay, so Matt Dad, I mean he's red. Is it Apple Plactic or Apple Plactic? - Apple Plactic. - Oh, I thought it was Apple like yours red as an apple. - No, no. - I guess there's other apples. There's like gold apples too, I guess. - Well, yeah, but it's not the word apple anyway. So. - Okay, so he's livid and I go into this weird, weird mode, we're like, I'm a placator. So I get it from behind the drums and I go, I am so sorry, sir. Oh my God, we're so sorry, we're gonna stop right now. And while I'm doing this, I'm guiding him out of the rehearsal room by his elbow. You know how people do that? Like a bank guard will kind of like a security guard will just kind of like guide you out physically, but they're really nice about it, right? Sure, sure, like some movie I'm trying to think of that had that in it. Oh man, there's a good-- - On the afternoon. - Not though, oh, King of Comedy. - Yes. - Because when the security guards like, we see Mr. Pumpkin, there's a protocol here to being a television show. And he's, you know, you have to make an appointment and people have certain schedules that they maintain on the, and the guard is moving Rupert Pumpkin out of the building. - It was just like that, exactly like that, but I was like super like, oh my God, you know, like I played it like I didn't want my bandmates to see me grovel. - Mm-hmm. - Like I was doing it to save face, right? So I get his dad out in the hall and I close the door behind me and I lean in way too close and I go, you let us practice whenever we want. And I don't send more Ring the Copy of the Video, I shot of your girlfriend leaving your house, half-naked a couple Thursday afternoons ago. - Wow. - That's cold. - Tom, his face fell faster than you running to new bridge trading cards. When you heard they had a pristine, lucky, harm misprint, wacky package card. - Well, that's fast. - Right? - Yeah. - Lightning fast. - Yeah. - So, consequently, we practice whenever we wanted and I even blackmailed Matt's dad into financing our band winner touches single, the Madrigals call. - Okay, wait, what was the name of the band? - Winters touch. Winters touch. - Yes. - What was the name of the record? - It was a single called the Madrigals call. - Okay. What was the sound like for this band? - Tom, I'll be totally honest. Winters touch was nothing to write home about. We were like, gosh, like if super tramp was even worse. - Wow, okay. Like a worse super tramp. You mean just kind of like, sure. Okay. - Like didn't really say anything, like just kind of wasn't like rock, wasn't prog, just sort of like a nothing burger, as they say. - Sure, just like no, just no, no, just nothing special. That's exactly something that you're saying, you know? - Yeah, so. - Yeah, yeah, at all. We broke up when I found out that Matt's dad was trying to kill me. - Oh, okay, well, how was he trying to kill you? - Well, by senior year, he clearly had enough. And you know, no blame at all. I mean, I took full advantage of him and basically, but it got to the end where he ended up taking out a mortgage on their house to buy me a yacht that was so fancy, I couldn't even figure out how to board it. - Wow, this is, you were rough. - I was, yeah, I was super rough. So, yeah, I mean, that's just like, oh, yeah, crazy life. Look, I got to run in a second. Captain Ron is on. - Oh, okay. - But speaking of movies. - Yeah. - I love this new game you do on the best show where you ruin a movie by tacking on some horrible thing after it's iconic ending. - Okay, sure. Like what? Do you have an example of one of those? I love. - I do, yeah. I have a great one, I think. - Okay, I'd love to hear it. - All right. - Delma and Louise, do you remember it? - Yep. - 1991, I think, right? - Okay. - Iconic ending. Everyone's seen it. I'm not boiling here. So, the iconic ending where they decide that in, who, that decide whether or not they're gonna get arrested by Joe Pesci or do the unthinkable and they drive their thunderbird into the Grand Canyon to avoid going to jail, right? - Yep, yep. - So, if you recall, the car freezes in mid-air and that's the end, right? Emotionally devastating. - Yeah, very heavy scene. - Okay, super. All right, the car hangs there for seven seconds, okay? And then it unfreezes. The car's still in the air, Tom. Delma reaches down and pushes a giant red button on the car's control panel. And then we see a nitro tank under the car start glowing light hot, right? - Okay. - Okay. And all of a sudden there's an explosion and the car lockets through the air because it's engaged now, right? So, it flies through the air, lands on the other side of the canyon. Delma and Louise are perfectly fine. They reach into the glove compartment and they pull out two frosty diet cloaks in a clear product placement example, right? - Okay. - They clink the diet coaks together. Delma takes a cassette tape out of her vest. Put the tape in and they drive off to this. - Are you ready? - Yeah, I'm ready. - Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, can't touch this. - Yeah, that's a bad ending. - Right? Ruins it. - Yeah, 'cause it implies like high tech stuff that was not a part of the story at all. - Product, some product placement. And then ending with a song by MC Hammer. - Yeah. - Wow, that's a bad ending. - Yeah. All right. That's all I got. - Oh, Link, I gotta say, I'm just a little taken aback. You really took this kid's father for a ride with this stuff and it's, that's not, okay, it's a little, you wanted him to buy you a yacht. - Yes. - Okay, it's just, it's a lot to digest. - Would it make you feel better if I told you that he did get revenge on me? - How did he get revenge on you? - He cut my left hand off. - Oh, well, that, that does even things out of Fairmount. Yeah, but it's terrible. - That's terrible. - That's terrible. - I know, I know, so, you know, I paid the price. - So you just accepted that as? - Was that not a great story? - It was a great story. - I'm not the story's worth losing a handover. - Okay. - Fair enough, fair enough. - I think Jesus said that. I think that's from the Bible. - I'm not sure if that's in the Bible, but I would be on again. I don't know the Bible. - No, I think, I think, it always the Old Testament. I think it, yeah, it was part of that burning bush scene where the bush said, even getting your hand cut off is worth it. It's a good story. - Sure, so that's what the burning, that's the scene with the burning bush in the Bible. - I've heard recordings. The voice higher than you'd think it would be. - Of the bush? - Yeah, it's like, hey guys, that's what it is. - Oh, that's, look, this is the stuff I don't know. I don't have a real foundational working knowledge of this stuff and it's impressive that you do. - Yeah, oh yeah, I recommend Bible class for everybody. Well, all right. Well, thanks for the recommendation, Nick. Or you hang in there and have a great one. You too. Have a great night. Okay. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Well, that was okay. I'll see you later. That was fun that we got a little bit of crazy story. So it's one for the ages, as they say. I'm going to play a song by one of my all-time favorites. Bert Yanch. That's right. Bert Yanch from the LA Turnaround album from I Believe 1973. Produced by who? Don't look it up. Don't look it up. I want to see if anybody in the chat knows who that was produced by. Does Pipsqueak behave as Pipsqueak a good dog or a bad dog? She really is. No, she's a good girl. Okay. I adopted her a new, no, I just adopted her in November and so through no work of my own, I left into a little angel. Oh, that's amazing. Well, congratulations. Well, speaking of the doggy, I was lucky enough to meet little disco at the first garage sale. That's right, yes. You met my fella, my dog, one of my dogs, disco, who is handsome, young man. And he's so weird. I think he's the best. Disco is the best. He's the activity. He's missing his front legs, but he gets around. He does all right, disco. He's a little Baldi, he's the cute. My good call. Good call. Good call. Back to the phones. See, it's important that we have good callers that I like and I get along with. And they're not always just out to press my buttons out to wind me up. There's a search with T. Well, then your friends with me. If you're down with T. Well, then your friends down with me. Hi, Tom. Hi, who's this? Oh, come on. You know, some play around. Oh, I'll hang up. Do you actually not know? No, I'm sure I'm sorry. Don't hang up on me. I'll hang up on you so fast. No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Now, this is this kid's bureau who calls. He's a high school child. He's heading into 10th grade next year. It's not true. It's not? No. You're not in 10th. You're not in 9th grade yet. You're even younger. Okay. No. What grade are you in? That would be. Wait. I mean, second year of college. You're in second grade. Second year of college. I'm not a second grade. Okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. Now, this guy's bureau, this young, young caller. He's been calling the show lately. Given me as they say, what for? He's been given me what he was you too much. He gives me what for? Do I mind? No, I like it. I like the guy. I like the guy. I like the guy. I'm happy that you left me Tom. You're happy that I want now? That you like me. Because I like you. I consider you a good person. Good. Good. I appreciate that. And I consider you a person too. He is. That's me. What is? I said I consider you a good person. You say you just consider me a person. Oh no, no. You didn't let me finish. Well, if you maybe if you wouldn't cut me off, I'm sorry. I consider you a person who is good. Thank you. At annoying me. I'm trying my best not to lately. I feel like I've gotten better. Well, you got to realize something, Spiro. Just laugh. Yeah. Just laugh. Just laugh. I just I don't hold it. I've been laughing. You've been great today. I'm talking about. Look, I know that. I know what I'm doing. My thing you're going to laugh. I'm talking about you need to laugh at Spiro. And that seems to be. I laugh at myself all the time. You don't have. You need to be a little more self-effacing. I laugh at myself. I'm a joke about myself. I'm doing on the phone. But yeah. Okay. Well, you mean when you talk to me? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I'm talking about when you talk to rooms for it when I'm talking to you while there is room for it. You need making fun of myself. Not to make funny yourself, but just to roll with it and be like it's all funny. I love rolling with it. Yeah. I'm loving it. I'm loving it. Right. I've been on hold for a while. I want to call in if I didn't want to roll to it and like you and enjoy you and enjoy the show. Bada bada bada. I'm loving it. Yeah. Now, for people who aren't aware, this kid has been calling for the last three years. Oh, I have this. Oh, sorry. Okay. I thought of three years. Sorry. It feels like it's been three years. See now you're laughing at yourself. That's what I'm talking about. Just you you're losing your joy, Spiro. You're losing the joy. You're taking yourself too seriously. I hope you enjoy. You're are no are you the kind of college student that you walk around campus? Do you wear a beret first of all? God no, I'm not nice. I'm not going to be wearing a beret around campus. Do you smoke clothes cigarettes? No, I don't smoke nothing. Do you quote, "poust"? Quote what? "Poust"? No. Okay. I quote like already lying, but I don't quote, "poust". You quote, you quote already lying. Okay. Well, technically I tend to quote him quoting animal house. Specifically the 0.0. So you love the movie animal house. Yeah, and do you want to know a fun fact about animal house? Sure. In 2012 and I swear to God to the people at home, you can look this up. I'm not making this up. There were plans for a Broadway animal house musical. And do you want to know what musical act was signed to write some of the songs? I think we all know. Damn, very good ladies in case you don't know. But they left the project in 2013. I think they got fired, which I don't know what. Yeah, do you know how long they worked on it for? One week. Yeah, it's just I don't, look, I love animal house and I love beret-naked ladies, but I don't think they mesh well. They have very different vibes. Animal house is a lot pruer, but I just don't think it cares well. So you think animal house is cooler than the beret-naked ladies? No, I said cooler, cooler. Okay, cool. Okay, gotcha gotcha. You see our, see our, you yell. Okay, cooler, like a glazed cooler. What? Is that like a suit? What? It's like a donut. What is it called? A cooler. We say crawler, but you clearly outweigh in the sticks where you're from, you say, cooler. Oh, that's another thing. Last week you were getting on my, you were, you called me the Utah piece of man, because I said that you, because I dare to have opinions about pizza with the men on. Yeah, okay. So I don't know, because I live in Utah. I don't know why you're still against smaller states. Like, yeah. Every state does a thing. That every state has a specialty, every region has a specialty. Look, I'm from the East Coast and now I'm on the West Coast. I wouldn't call you and try to act like an expert on, like mayonnaise. We, it's well, actually, we don't really, I don't care about mayonnaise, but what's great about Utah is we have fries sauce and it's expected in the restaurant. You know what fries sauce is? No, I don't. What is fries sauce? Is it, is it, is it, is it, is it red and you put it on hamburgers? No, it's, it's technically made from a mix of mayonnaise and ketchup, but I really don't want it referred to as mayo chaps, because that's the craft you can get in stores and it's not as good. What I'm saying is in Utah, restaurants just normally have it. It's an expected thing to have. We make it here and it's good at school. Fry sauce. So basically you're mixing ketchup and mayonnaise. You realize what are you making? What are you making? French dressing? What are you talking about? It's your fries and for like food and other things, other foods. The fries are the foods. What do you put on, what do you put this fry sauce on? Pizza? Well, it's a dipping thought. Have you over dipped pizza and fries sauce? No, I don't, if I could speak about something, I don't get people to dip pizza. I think that's a weird new saying that to some, I guess someone started doing it. It's for all the restaurants. I don't get it. It's weird. If you want to dip a pizza, get a cow's own. Strong opinions. God doesn't want you dipping your pizza. I can't argue with it. What's this weird? Yeah. So you like to whip up some fries? You do homemade fries sauce? No, you can't make it at home. If you go to a restaurant. Wait, why can't you make it at home? It's ketchup and mayonnaise. No, if you're just mixing whatever ketchup and mayonnaise you have around, you're not going to get fries sauce. I don't know how they make it, but the restaurants make it right. You've got to go to a restaurant. I can't make it fake at home, but it's not going to be any good. This is, this is okay. Hold on. I need to look up fries sauce now. Hold on. Fry sauce. And if you need to attach you to it, you can. I got news for you to show up if you just type fries. Yeah, I got news for you, buddy. You can make this at home. No, you can't. It's not right. It's processed at home. How to make it. Combine equal parts, mayonnaise and ketchup. Yeah. You're absolutely right, Tom. And when I want to cookie, I'm not going to go to the bakery. I'm going to make one at home. You're absolutely right. Part two. Whiskey and seasonings like paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and a splash of pickle juice or vinegar until smooth. I don't know too much about that stuff. Again, I know there's ketchup and mayonnaise, but I don't get too much into how the sausage is made. You want some advice? You want some, you want some actual life advice? My friend. I'm sure. Are you mad? Am I mad? Yeah. No, I'm not even moving. All you're making is salad dressing. I'm not making it. I go to a restaurant. That's why I'm trying to tell you. All they're making is salad dressing. And a Michelin chef, you don't really make it a steak. Am I going crazy here? Am I? Can someone help me? What? What's wrong? A Michelin. Are you okay? A Michelin is a steak. This is not hard to make. It's mayonnaise and ketchup. And then you put a little bit of vinegar in it. I'm not saying it's hard to make. Everything. Something's a better professional. We made it at home. Well, do you go to a restaurant when you want a soda with ice in it? Because you need an expert to do that. I can't mix together Dr. Pepper. Am I? Hey, hey, hey, not the same thing. Hey, I didn't ask you to make the ketchup. Oh, what? Making fry sauce. How would I make? Making fry sauce is one degree harder than pouring soda into a glass with ice. Yeah, but you're not making a soda if you're just pouring it in. And you're not making the mayonnaise. No, it's creating a new thing. A soda in the top is still a soda. Do you think mix together creates a new condiment? I'm saying to you, we're not talking. I'm saying it's easy to make. You're acting like it's some like it's a national treasure. Like you're trying to solve some mystery, 300 year old mystery. It was the national treasure. Well, nobody can make fry sauce at home. Well, you couldn't make fry sauce at home. Your house will blow up. You put the wrong, you put the wrong, yeah, but it's not going to be as good. You put too much pickle juice and that thing. Your house will explode. I never said that. I never said that. I just saying what's cool about Utah is we have fry sauce. I can expect it all. All right, keep going. What's cool about what? Tell me some other things that are cool about Utah. I'm saying all seriousness. What's cool about living in Utah? That's a very tough question. Because I went through Utah. I went through Utah last year. This time last year. I liked it. I liked it. Yes. Are you going to come back? No, never. I'll never be back. Why? No, I had fun. I would have fun. I was fine. I like it. Yeah, but what if you like it, why aren't you telling that? The people I didn't like I'm kidding. Oh, come on. If we I If we hung out we would be having the best time ever. Yeah, I think you might be having the best time ever I'd be wondering how much Price is sauce. I need to Pour in my ears You shouldn't pour it in your ears. So it's probably getting bad You could just ask me a self-talkie. I don't get why you think I like this. We were talking face to face. We couldn't manage conversation Yeah, I went to Utah. I liked it. I was there for a couple days Did you go to any like we have cool record shop? We have like Not have I have I have I have a I have every album that I want by the osmonds already I'm okay Do they sell other artists or just or just the osmonds? Oh I can't wait. Come on. We're not that's one of the narratives. I don't like we're not all Mormons I didn't say or all Mormons. I said the osmonds are the only group from there Well, wait who are the are the osmonds? I might be mixing them up with the partridge And hold on one second. Oh no, okay, they're the same kind of thing. We're not like all Family friendly safe. We have edgy stuff here. Why is playing in November? Okay You're gonna run them out of town No, they're gonna be welcome to solve an arms because this is a diverse place Look, I'm teasing you a little bit. I like to be in Salt Lake City I like being in Salt Lake City. I went You've got an amazing Jimmy John's So come on we have more than just like the brand restaurants. We have Places you can go with eat That aren't change That Jimmy John's the the signage you guys had on the wall Was a hoot. Oh My son of these signs were old Yeah, you like this is not kind of cool like sash buril in for a sense We have this there's a torn down ice cream I don't know if it was a factory or a store, but they use have this giant like ice cream cone statue Above it and they've left this statue there, but they torn the place down. So we have some cool stuff You're not doing a great job of saying you've got cool stuff when you say Well, there was a nice cream place here that they tore down, but don't worry the cone. Don't worry folks the cone is still there Well the problem is they're carrying everything down. They just close to the local Chili's on Sunday with sucks Yeah, because if you're doing a lot of construction because they want to build condos, but they don't understand Yeah, I don't understand why it's non-thought and you can't drive here driving here is a nightmare Well, they will they tore down the ice cream place in so like city last night And they left the cone standing to and now the Chili's is getting run out of town You literally said to me They got rid of the Chili's in town Well, that's something that happened recently that's all my mind because that's like my childhood That's my wife's time Chili So I don't think I'm gonna be able to pick a new Chili to go to it's gonna feel weird. It's not gonna be the same I think you've got it in you to find a new Chili's I think you can do it. I believe in you I certainly did a try, but I believe in that old place. Yeah, well I got news for you Spiro. I got news for you What's the news? What's the news? So okay, here you go. This is the news Every Chili's oh my god, what are you talking about every Chili's is the same? Dude, I know that I'm just saying the atmosphere Like I'm gonna have to get used to new servers. I got I got news for you. I'm not doing with change the atmosphere at every Chili's is the same You'll be fine. You'll be fine I'm gonna be fine. I didn't say like the world is gonna end you can make it You can make it I think you can make it I'm gonna pull through I believe in you No, look I believe in you Tom. I saw things in Salt Lake City. I Saw the yeah What did I see There's stuff Did it go to what I should have mentioned would do that's our face team part would do I went inside like this this hollowed out mountain and there was like a hot spring inside of it Oh, that's like the I don't know what that is I don't really do the like hiking though Well, it wasn't hiking I pulled my car up and I walked 40 feet and I was inside the I was inside I didn't have to hike it was right outside Salt Lake City We went into a mountain. What did you do? It's a hot spring a Natural hot spring. Oh All right stop with this. How did you feel like I'm arguing with jargar banks? That's kind of me that's a mean thing to say I'm trying to understand what you're saying, dude. I Don't get out much I also went to a place called angels rest. Do you know what that is? No, what is it? How is it that I know these things about Salt Lake City and about Utah? There's not in Utah. It was not in Salt Lake City It's a it's a giant Pet cemetery It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Yeah, like the Stephen King thing It was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. I got chased around by a zombie cat No, I think that's I'm sorry. I just heard that some theory and I did like brain connection Well, let's do some brain disconnection No, I'm sorry people are saying in the chat I'm gonna read a few things. I love this kid. Okay Aw, thank you. The chat is very nice to me. My favorite call says here. Spiro's my favorite Dan Vitale just said Dan Vitale just said Spiro's my favorite calling the history of the show George Toledo is saying I can't get enough of Spiro can't get enough of Spiro Green bean Floyd green bean Floyd is saying Keep calling every week Spiro love it so much Jensen O just said that Spiro is the price the price of callers Well, yeah, I had a feeling you loved it. It's because you've been talking about it for a half an hour Well, you brought it well, no, I didn't know it existed bro. Oh, I didn't know it existed You're the one who brought Yeah, I didn't even know what I was gonna be talking about today, man I thought I was gonna tell you about beer league, but I get we took a bit of a turn All right real quick tell me about beer league Oh, I just the chat told me I should tell you that I rewatched it last night and they said you would want to talk about beer league 2006 the already-lang feature film beer league Yeah Great movie they told me I should bring it up. It's a great. Yeah, they actually seen it. Yeah, this was my course time with it and I I don't like it, but it's just like I Don't know this was the most pleasant rewatch I've had it wasn't as annoying as the great so what you're saying is With beer the movie beer league You don't like it, but for some reason you keep going back. I can't look away and you can't look away to be I just gotta say beer league is The you of movies Do you want to know a fun fact about beer league because you were talking about guided by very voices earlier What's a fun fact about beer league? The credits song is bold on skin by guided by voices and that was the first time I'd ever heard That it by voices and also during a romantic scene where already in the main love is sure start like on the boardwalk They play girls of wild strawberries So your face so your fun fact Your fun fact about Beer league is that it's the first time you heard guided by voices No, it's that guided by voices is in the movie like the song. Okay It's the credit card like as soon as they cut the credit seat and play They don't play the full song. They start it halfway. So it starts with the truck, a car, throw the ball back. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Look, I think it's cool. Do you like that in my voices? No, I don't. Why? I've been getting into them lately and they're kind of cool. Bro, I know. I know. Look. Yeah. I like that about voices. Oh, what's your favorite album? Um, I don't know. Okay. Sorry. Propeller. Oh, yeah. Someone in the chat told me I need to listen to that one. So that's going to be the next one I listened to. There you go. Look at that. Spiro. Oh, yeah. You're one of my favorite collars. If not my favorite collar. Oh, thank you. I thought since last week, he said we weren't not not last week, but last time I called you said we weren't friends. So that kind of hurt a bit. But I'm happy that like, I don't have any. Do you know what I've done better today? Spiro. If you have to fill out like this survey. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. You. Sorry. I don't have any friends. Nobody will be friends with me, Spiro. I'll be your friend in this life. I don't have friends. Why? What do you? I'm unlikable. You're not shy. You're unlikable. I'm unlikable. You're going to listen. I'm just going to consider myself a soldier in the best show army. You are the god. You're cool. I was walking. I was walking down the hall here and I walked past the studio. I just like before they could people in the side room couldn't hear they didn't know I was there and I heard them talking about talking about me in a very disparaging way. Who was talking about them? I'll tear them out. They called me Captain Unfunny. That's wrong. If anything, you're Captain Funny. Like I told you this earlier, when you when I was on hold, you were cracking me up. Oh, good. That's what I you know, they said Captain Unfunny is is that it again? Oh, you're not what is they done? What is they done that's so funny compared to Tom Sharpling? Well, look, they are they produce the best show and they oh, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to insult the crew. I hear no. Do you were talking about that? Oh, no, that's who said it. That's who said it. Who's Andrew and Brian? Okay, listen, I answer and I love you, but Tom Thomas, he's the sheriff. You got to listen to Tom. What do you say? Go. There you go. Thanks, Spiro. Thanks, Spiro. You guys better listen. Spiro, what's Spiro talk? So he'll pour my sauce on your head. Oh my God. You asked about me. Well, the conversation was about you talk. So that's what came to my mind. Yeah. I'm being told I'm being told I have to take this next call, Spiro. So oh, okay. This was like the first time you haven't like hung up on me. So I think I have a big progress. Wait, what did you say? This is the first time you haven't like hung up. I literally heard someone clap at that in the building. I, oh, man. Walked right into it. I actually feel a little guilty, almost, almost. Look, we have fun here. He's a cool kid. He's a cool kid. Chip away. I, I, I tip my hat to him. I just gonna say I chip my hat to him. What a chip my hat now. Good guy. Good guy. Good guy. Good guy. Back to the phones. Hello, best show. Hey Tom. He's seven. Evan, where are you calling from? I am calling from Santa Monica. Oh, how's that for you? Not too bad. Getting chilly tonight. The fog's rolling in. Chilles. I don't want to talk about chilies anymore. Yeah, we don't have one around here unfortunately. Well, they're all different. Oh, I've heard. I went to a chiles. There was a giant sandbox. They didn't sell food in it. And I was like, I thought chilies had to think they like, bro, we do it wherever we want to. Chilles. You think this is Ruby Tuesdays? What brings you to the show tonight, Evan? I had a few dog Instagram recommendations and a scary movie prediction. Let's do the scary movie prediction first. What do you got for? We're trying to predict the jokes that will be in scary movie six, which comes out in a few weeks. But I have two. I don't know. It's the first one. This is two recent. If there's going to be a six, seven reference. That might be two recent, but I think you're locked in on that. That's like that's close. I think that's fair game. Kind of thinking the thing that will be in there might be things are like from a few years back. Yeah. I don't know if they're going to try to sneak that one in under the wire. Yeah, like if they filmed it at the last minute to get it in. Yeah. Okay. What else? What else do you know? Yeah, I feel like there's probably going to be a baby Yoda, but that's a good. That makes a lot of sense. It doesn't even look like it will be like it'll look like it, you know, well, I know what it is, but it's not going to look like something. I think I have a feeling. I don't think you're wrong on that. I think there will be some sort of baby Yoda type reference. Makes a lot of sense. Those are great. Those are great calls. Now, tell me about the dog videos. I'm thinking. Yeah. Let's just talk about dog videos. Dog sites. The first one is it's kind of hard to say the name. Coro Maro Lab, but it's the ORO M-A-R-O lab. Coro. He's a black lab. Yeah. Okay. Let me see. Well, that's a cute dog. He's a black lab in Japan and wherever he lives, there's like these creeks along the side of the road and he just goes video to all of us him hanging out on the water and amazing. I see I'm seeing it right now. It brings amazing. It brings me a lot of peace. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Those. No, I watch. Here are some of the ones I watch. There's a dog named. Let's pull it up here. Vader. The border calling. Let me find it. Yeah. Like in the chat, somebody just said, they'll probably have something with like a baby Yoda. It's like getting high or something like that. You know, like that is exactly what I was thinking that he was going to be like 30 baby Yoda. Like he was going to be in the strip club or he's going to have a big bong. Yeah. This dog, Vader, the border collie, he's always starts every video by saying, well, I guess you didn't stick around for blank. And then he's like, wait, you're still here. And then he's, then he's just like your friend for the rest of it. So. Yeah. I'm looking at him now. I like he's very cute. He's very cute. Wait. Who else you got from? The other one is. Corgi named. Audrey. He a W. Audrey. De Corgi. Mm-hmm. And he's always wearing a cowboy hat. And the guy that runs the account is always making like grilling like. Is this the guy looking through? Is this the guy who's a count says something like. My Corgi is raised in a Mexican household. So he eats tacos with with the family. Yeah. And he's got the dog always has a little cowboy hat on. Yeah. The Corgi says a little cowboy hat on. And then he makes like these, these fun little things for like, he'll make the dog. equivalent of what the family is going to eat. So yeah, I love Mark and like Margarita and Acacia Dia. Yeah, those are two of my favorites. Seeing it, I love love it, love it, love it. All right. Those are two good ones. You too. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. The Lakers win and doubt it, but we say that again. Well, see, it'll be a good night if the Lakers win, but I'm not expecting that. So look, I stopped. I had for my own mental health. A couple months ago took a step away from basketball. Yeah. And then on, I believe it was Thursday, I got text after text after text that said, I know you're not watching, but put it on. And then I put it on to see that the nicks were up 50 something points in the second quarter. So and then they just routed the six years also by like 39. What is all I'm saying? I'll come back, keep going, I earned the right to step away for a bit while you put your get your house in order to win the way you should be winning. So that's all I say. I'm always rooting for this team. I just need a little break because I got other things to deal with. But I'm aware of what's going on. So thank you. All right. And they could win it all. Just look, you are Lakers fan, you've experienced winning. Oh, yeah, for sure. I have no right to complain about it. It's nothing like that. I experienced not the only winning I do is the winning I do. The only winning I experience. You're doing it yourself. I just have to watch other people. And this person, I'm going to if you say the nicks are coasting to the finals, where they'll get swept LOL. F off. I'll dare you. This is my show. Yo, yo, Indiana. Okay. Yeah, want you to go this is stare it up. Rick Smith's poster. Thanks, Evan. Bye. Tell me how it is. Other dog ones. I like I like. Like some of these people now with these dog videos, it's like a full on comedy routine. They're always like they're like, um, oh, it's me in the it's me in the dog, you know, uh, outsmarting me. You know, and it's like they locked me out of the house or they're opening up the drove my car. You like, like, there's one this guy, a guy and a golden. And this guy's hamming it up with this dog, Teddy. Him hamming it up. And the dogs always outsmarting them and locking them out of the house. And, uh, like the guy's like a goofball, he's making himself like the, the butt of the jokes. As if the dogs are all over, like they're running the show and he's at the he's at their mercy. These dogs are why these dogs are mean in that house. It's not doing a good job. He's making his dogs not nice. Make your dogs nice. Franny and Gracie, the Chihuahua's that run to greet, mailman, Dan, love those. What other ones do I like? Maybe I should start leaning into this and start. I'll just start doing dog. Dog videos every day. Right? I mean, how many followers do these, these freaking dog accounts have? Look at that. 130,000. I got to start stepping it up. I got to start putting my dogs to work. Air horn, 6 a.m. The cruise shows up. I just hire like a five person crew every day. To film multiple dog videos. Yeah, let me see some other dog ones and give me your recommendations. Also, come on. Give me your recommendations over the dogs. Who else do I like? Dogs. I think we're going to have to do a whole episode about this dog videos. Also, folks, the Vanderpump challenge, it's getting out of hand now. I want someone from Vanderpump rules to come by, hang out in the studio for 15, 20 minutes, whatever, talk to me. Now we've gotten two cast members have acknowledged the existence of this campaign. I think it's time we made a push. We made a push for Jack's tailor didn't happen. He said no. He's between seasons of things and it's working on his personal life. Our best shot at this point is going to be Tom Schwartz. He's aware of it. More than one person has written him and he has given like a heart back, saying I would do that. We got a punch it through now. Tom Schwartz on Instagram. I'm asking for your help. Drop them a DM. Just say, be respectful. Are you doing the best show? Are you going to go on the best show for the Vanderpump challenge? You got to do it. It'll be fun because it will be fun. He'll come here. It'll be fun. I'll talk to him. It's not a gotcha interview. What am I? A bitch is club random? No. Not club random. And boy, he's doing great these days. Bill Mar. You know what he looks like now? He looks like a Marionette that nobody wants to play with anymore. Slumped in a chair. He's like bent. He's like the Marion Marionette that is like it's just forgotten about in the corner. Slumped in the chair. That video where he was talking to David Cross and he was saying that I've been soft canceled because he said he's been soft canceled because he didn't he hasn't won an Emmy yet. Like what planet are you on? He's starting to get that weird body type. He looks like, um, he almost looks like he's like sticking his head through like a sewn, like torso on a couch. Like he's just sticking. He's he's actually behind it or under it. It doesn't look real anymore. His actual body looks fake. But look, I don't want anything to do with this guy club random. Could you imagine? Could you imagine club random? And like having to go look, first of all, nobody watches the thing. If you go and you plug something, nobody's watching it. Nobody's checking it out. You're getting nowhere. You're just trapped in his house of horrors, right? It's like being a silence of the lambs. More power to you Bill. But I don't care about Bill Maure. I don't care about Club Random, I don't care about any of this stuff. What I care about is that in five minutes, the best show, Poe Show begins the rest show. And we're going to talk about top 20 albums of the 1990s. And I know Bill might be like, there better not be any punk on that list. Look, punk is terrible. No one likes it. It's three chords. Like Green Day. That's the only punk band I like. I'm like, we're talking about three chords. I think I know what punk rock is. I will say this. I think there's a band that started punk rock.
