- Sitten. - Let's go! - Variara! - Pääriä! - Big day morning! - Woohoo! - Wake up! - When they hear the sound of the trauma, they'll be saying "No Lord here, they come." - Yay! - Good morning! - Thank you guys for making my morning great. - Here we come! - Every morning I'm pumped for work. - Here we come! - Big day morning! - Here we come! - 99.7, now! - Oh, oh! - Feels good to be back! - Gentlemen boys and girls! Good morning! - Welcome to your Tuesday. It is April 14th. - Big bad morning's back live on your radio! - Hey! - Hey! - Good morning Gregor E! - Good morning, everyone! - Hello, Miss Ellen. - Hello, good morning! - Oh, I missed you all. - Oh, missed you so much! You don't realize it. - Yeah, I missed all you. - You missed us so much. You should have the text messages you sent. - All those comments. - I missed all of those. - All of that. - How was your birthday? Forget about all of that. Your birthday was actually yesterday. So a lot of people ask, "Why did you take a week and a day?" Well, everybody deserves, I told somebody this yesterday. Everybody deserves their birthday. Of work, don't you think? I think. - Couldn't agree more. Yesterday, from my actual birthday, it was awesome. Listen, any day you wake up and have ice cream for breakfast, it was gonna be a good day. First thing in my belly was ice cream. Last thing in my belly for dinner was pizza. So it was a great birthday. - Wow! - Yeah! - Yeah! - Well, we're not stopping today because I did by nothing but cakes, these little bunlets or whatever they're called. This is it, though. This is it. - Dude, my diet, as you just heard, was. - It was! - Yeah. - It's a Victor all week long, it was terrible. - What's vacation mode that? - Yeah. It was your birthday yesterday. Last week, it was also while we were gone a little producer at Winxburg, as well. So I thought we would close it out with that. But I feel you about the diet because in Amsterdam, they eat nothing but, and Belgium. Belgium, they eat nothing but chocolate. And I'm not kidding. Waffles covered in chocolate and chocolate. And in, yo, it would be your paradise, Ellen. Because in Amsterdam, they just have sweet breakfast. They have little mini pancakes. All that mean, just everything is sweet. These struppwaffles sweet. So I know what you're talking about. All I did was eat sweets for breakfast. - But you did a lot of walking. - 20,000 steps a day. - That's a great thing, 'cause you're burning so much. - Did you do a lot of walking? - I did no walking. Dude, I was a beach dwell all week. But it was amazing. Well, actually, that's a lot. Yesterday, I did a birthday walk, I got a side. But the whole prior week, no, not a lot of walking. But a lot of lane by the pool, swimming in the pool, ocean time, family time. - So you literally was a beach dwell. - I was. - You're just laying by the pool. - I know ocean sun. - We lucked out. So we did like half and half. We did a staycation here at home. And then the wife and I and the dog stormy. And then the three of us also went down the coast a bit. We did a couple nights in Pismo Beach. And then we did a night in Paso Robles. And it was 75 to 80 degrees sunny the whole time. It was perfect weather. And then we got home and it was pouring rain. So I was like, oh, lucked out. Time to just write. - Whose birthday is next on the show? - I don't know. - I was there. - It'll be mine. - Oh. - We're still a few months away though. - July 1st. - Yeah, I might have to do that staycation thing 'cause with these gas prices, I don't know about getting on a flight. And let me just tell you this. For the second consecutive vacation trip, United Airlines has delayed my flight over 12 hours. That's the second time in a row. Not a two hour delay, not a four hour delay, not a six hour delay. Both of the last two flights have been delayed more than 12 hours. And on this last one, they canceled the original flight. Then they put me on another flight. Then they moved me to another flight. Then they moved me through a third flight. So they moved me on their own three different times. - You've not even been on my S-list for years. It's my least favorite airline. - Used to really like that. - I've never had an on-time flight with United Airlines. - I am done. I am done maybe with them because maybe. - Well, sometimes you're forced to use that a certain airline, right? If that's the only route. - They have more flights. They have more and better flights out of SFO than most airlines. Unless I'm going to Dallas, then I fly. American Airlines obviously because there's a hub there and they have the better flights. But I am usually not a loyal B when it comes to airlines. I'm more like, well, who's ever going to give me the best deal and the best fly? - Yeah. - Well, United usually has that. But they, I mean, 12 hours, twice in a row. - Terrible. - And at least the first time they gave me $500 back. - And this time? - Nothing, zero, nothing. - A drink ticket, a meal voucher, nothing. - No. - Wow. - Did you have a good week off, Ellen? - Did, I did. Basically, like how you said, Beni, I had a little bit of everything. I had some family time. So I drove down to LA just for a few days for like Easter weekend. I wanted to be with my mom and be with my cousin 'cause we celebrated her birthday last weekend. But however, her birthday is actually today. So happy birthday, Andrea. I love you, cousin. - Happy birthday. - This is like the cousin that's like your older sibling. Like, you know, I'm the oldest in my family, but she is like my older sister, but just in cousin form. So I had to go see her last weekend. And then when I came back, like it was just that. It was just relaxation. It was me just like you said, solo time and I needed that also. - Got to recharge from time to time. - Yeah, so I took this time and I was not gonna find nowhere. I know the experience that you were having before we left, you know, that you were getting to do it. I was like, I'm not flying anywhere. I'm like, I'm not doing anything. And then gas is crazy. So I'm like, I'm gonna stay right here at home and actually enjoy maybe my house for a bit. You know, I'm always on the go. So I'm like, let me actually enjoy sitting down on the couch. I felt guilty a few times. You know, when you like, you're just at home not doing anything and you feel guilty. - I have a problem being bored. And yeah, I'm looking for something to do. And then I have at least my wife to be like, just sit down. - Yeah. - It's okay to be bored once in a while. Do nothing. I was like, okay, just don't know what to do with myself. - But yeah, I had to remind myself that too, Benny. And to me, it's my best friend, my roommate. She had to keep telling me, like, stop feeling guilty. 'Cause I'm like, I feel like I have to go organize something. Or I have to like get on my lap. Like I have to do something or go somewhere. And she's like, no, Ellen, it is okay. Stay here, watch some TV and just do nothing. And I was like, okay, so that was like a good reminder this weekend. That's about it. And then the rating days, I just stayed in also. I'm very proud of myself for that. - Good for you. - But that was my week off. - All right, well, we're back. We're ready. Let's go. Another round of the big money minute. That's what we're playing next. (phone ringing) - Let's play. (static) - Big money minute. Big day mornings back on the radio and back with $1,000. Trying to give it to Rachel and Conker. Hi, Rachel. Good morning. - What's up? - Good morning, Rachel. Did you miss us while we were gone? - Yes, I did. - She's like, we gone? - I was waiting. I was waiting. I was waiting for you to say, oh, no, I didn't notice. - Oh. Well, Rachel, how you feeling this morning? Feeling good? - I'm gonna try to win. - Oh, okay. - All right, we got this. - 10 questions. 60 seconds on the clock. If you answer them correctly, we give you the money. - Good luck. It's ours now. - Ready, set, go. - According to folklore, who stole from the rich and gave to the poor? - Oh man. - Oh, damn. - He was tights. - Robin Hood. - Yep, spell acknowledgement. - Robin Hood. - Spellic acknowledgement. - Acknowledgement. AK, ACK, and O. Dang. - You could pass. - ACK, and O. And O, W, L, E, D, G, E. - Sure. Sounds good to me. - More or less than 10 herbs and spices in KFC secret recipe. - 10 or less. - 10, or there are more or less than 10 herbs. You got 50-50 shots. - I have spices. - And spices, I'm sorry. And we're gonna see if there's more. There's 11 in there at a time. - Yeah. - No, we're each other. - That sounds good to me back. - More fancy. - Ooh, some fried chicken. - Yeah, I'll take it. Chicken and waffles. All right, Rachel. You only got through three. I'm so sorry. It's okay. Just pretend like you've also been on vacation. - Okay. - Yeah, Robin Hood, he stole from the rich, gave to the poor. I will accept your spelling for acknowledgement. - And. (laughing) - I mean, I was here in the whole ABC's, I don't point, I think. - And just because I'm being nice. And there are 11 herbs and spices in KFC secret recipe. - Well, the good news is we have seven questions. Se on se, että se on se. - Se on se, että se on se. And you know, as I said, I had some allergies when I was gone. So acknowledgement is too long of a word for me to spell right now. My voice. Well Rachel, listen, we love you for this. Yes. And for even trying. I hear daughtery say hi. Yeah. That's really that word. Yeah. It is a long one. All right. We'll have a great rest of your week. You too. All right. Bye. It's early, you know? It's sometimes it gets to you. I get it. Oh, trust me. And I just got a text from the wife. She said, because we're back from vacation today, first day back, same with the wife. She said, I'm really missing your coffee and bed right now. Oh, coffee every morning. That's so sweet. But see what vacation does, though? Like inmates. Yeah, like it's making her miss you now, but it made us miss each other too that we were gone. And you know, it's like it does that. Yes. It did. Oh, it is. It's a miss me. You know what? You're the only one that hasn't said it, because Benny said it. I said it. Greg, say it. I missed me, because he put the best bromance post for my birthday. I did. Oh, yeah. I just don't buy the you. I'm not being negative at all. I think it's funny. I just don't buy the whole I missed you. I missed you. I missed you when neither one of you texted me while I was gone. But that's for your guys' peace, though. I didn't text you guys for your guys'-- I was like, I don't think they want to hear. I mean, I even know-- They're doing their own thing. I heard from Jazzy. Did you tell him you missed him? No. I didn't. But he told me post more pictures. I heard from him. We're caught in your vacation. Exactly. He said, stop being lazy in post pictures. All right. We are taking a break. And then as soon as we are back, we have tickets for you to see Jamie Foxx, the S2 stand-ups here in the Bay Area in Oakland. They're sold out. But we have the tickets for you to see him. It's this Friday night. That is the stand-up. Be here at 720. We'll give him to you. All right. Big day mornings. Good morning. I love you guys. You're so freaking funny. 99.7 now. Good morning. Welcome to your Tuesday. The family back on your radio. It is Benny Ellen and Greg. And it's time for the BBM DM. You could slide through on Instagram at Big Bay mornings. This morning's DM goes like this. What up, Big Bay mornings. My son's best friend had him for a sleepover last weekend. They had a great time. On Saturday, the mother took the kids to lunch then went shopping. At the mall, she gave them each $20 to spend on whatever they wanted. They were excited. My son had a great time. Told me all about it. I called and thanked her for being so generous and what a great time my son had. Then yesterday, I get an alert on my phone. She sent me a Venmo request for $50 to cover the expenses of what she spent on my son. Really? Venmo mom wants us to pay her back. We didn't ask her to do that and she didn't check with us first. Plus, how is it that lunch in $20 comes to $50? I'm so annoyed. We have her son over all the time. And we would never think of asking to be compensated for it. Should I pay for it? Ignore it? Oh, what should I do? That's not what I mean. My normal reaction, the old Greg would send her the $50 and never speak to her again. Because the old Greg would do that. Put it to her son's friend. No, that's where the new Greg comes in. That's where the new Greg walks in. The new man thinks about somebody besides himself and being petty. And because it is your son's best friend, you got to give her a call and you got to hammer this out. And you start with just, hey, listen, let's talk this out. I have your son over all the time. And I didn't think we're charging each other. And you chose to give him that $20. And that was on you. Otherwise, if I knew you were taking them all, I would give him that-- I mean, you have to try at first to have a reasonable conversation. So I don't know where it goes from there. If it goes left, then you've got to make decisions. But you have to try to call and have some sort of reasonable conversation with this woman. So start out nicely. OK. I mean, I would say to just give her the $15 and to leave it there with her for now. I think the conversation needs to go with your son. With your son, I think that's where the conversation needs to go first. Because I don't know. Kids have a way of when they're with somebody else's family or like-- I don't know if they were trying to encourage her to get these things. I don't know what the conversation was. I don't know. We don't know. That's like a great area right now. But-- Like you're saying maybe the DM or son was asking this other parent for money? With his friend, there was maybe a conversation, something that happened where they had-- They don't buy us this. They don't want this. We want that. Yeah. And it's innocent. I don't think it's on purpose. For sure. But it could be an innocent thing. But this is where I think the setup should be with the sun. Because I do think that you shouldn't send your kid off also to go have a fuel day and a seep over without some kind of budget, too. So that's where those little debit cards and credit cards that have the child protection come into play. And you can tell your child, like, hey, you have a $30 budget. You figure it out. But you only have $30 that you can spend when you go over to the little Timmy's house. And so I think that's where that should kind of start. Try that first. And then if it escalates where this happens again, then have a conversation with the parent. But I don't know. Maybe the parents are having a financial struggling time right now. That's why they're asking for it. But I just, I would leave it there. I really wouldn't say anything to the parents anymore. I would have this conversation with my child. I don't know, because you're making the child feel like he did something wrong when he didn't. No, it's more preventative. Like, it's just like this is done. It's a less, like, take it as a lesson. Like, not every situation needs a confrontation of somehow, like, some kind. Like, I think this is just a lesson all the way around for you guys. So it's kind of like it goes back to what we say. Control what you can control. And you can control the next situation with your child. It's really, it comes down to just miscommunication. It's not a money problem. It's a miscommunication problem. And for, I think, a most friendship dynamics, your kids friendship dynamics, sleepovers, casual meals, small activities, the hosting parents should cover that. You don't get reimbursed for that. Now, if there's a planned expensive outing, we're going to Great America. We're going to a concert. But of course, that's a discussion that happens beforehand and you figure out the cost, whether that's being split or whatever that is. So point is, giving kids $20 each at the mall should not, that should be considered a gift from the hosting parent. That's wild to me that this parent would reach out. And if they are having, if this parent is having financial problems, Ellen, sure. But again, to my point, a conversation needs to be had up front. Hey, we're thinking about going to the movies and the mall on Saturday. Can you send Jake over with a little bit of cash, please? Then I think it would not have been an issue. Yeah, because the other parent made the decision to go to the mall. Go to the mall to give the money and let the kids lose. I mean, you made all those decisions. So that'd be like if I brought in-- Well, today I brought in these little bountines, these butlets, whatever they call them, for you guys since we're back from vacation. What if after you all ate them? I asked you each for $12, they cost $32. So what if I asked each of you for $11? Exactly. That's exactly what it is. That's wild. Yeah, that's right. I would be-- I mean, I would give you the money, but I would never eat anything you ever, ever offer again. Pay the $50. Pay this woman the $50. And shoot a text with that. Or if you want to pick up the phone and call her and just say, hey, for future reference, I usually don't split costs for sleepovers and outings like that, unless we talk about it beforehand. This is your child's BFF. You're going to deal with this woman for a very long time. This isn't like a one-off. And it was just like you've sent your kid to a random birthday party and he's probably never going to say-- you're never going to see this woman again. Pay the $50 and be done with their butt. That sounds nice. It sounds nice to-- like the way you're seeing everything, Benny, sounds like such a pretty way to wrap it up. But it's like being realistic though, a lot of us don't communicate that way. We don't like confrontation or we just-- like I said, it's easier said than done. So I don't know. I mean-- Well, that's why I think it's easier to set a text that may be saying it verbally to this person. Shoot a text with a vent. Texting gets sticky, though. I was going to say just. You get out of context. The only thing-- Yeah, I was going to say just remember everybody reads a text message. Two text messages in that different voice. Like, you send a text message and I read it. To all caps with the bunch of text. [LAUGHTER] That's just-- Smiley. That's the only thing with text messages. We all read it in our voice that we have determined. The other person is saying it in. Well, you're damned if you do. Damn, if you don't, I don't really-- Move out of state. OK, there it is. Thanks for being-- Thanks for being with me. I'm DM. You get us up with questions, comments, that advice. Any time on Instagram, @bigbeymornings. Your first 30 on a 30. That is next. Ellen, what's up? Been in a attainment. Well, could shella weekend won just wrapped up, and there is so much to talk about, so I'll give you the highlights and dirty on the 30. Yeah, wake up. Up. 99.7 Nails, big, big, big morning. Dirty on the 30. Benny, Ellen, and Greg, with everything you need to know, today's headlines. Hi, everyone. Big, big mornings back on your radio. Let's start with this morning's headlines. Bay Area Congressman Eric Swalwell is stepping down from Congress after a wave of serious misconduct allegations multiple women have accused of sexual assault and harassment. Claims he denies, but at the same time, he's apologized for his mistakes and says that the situation has become too much of a distraction. Swalwell had already suspended his run for California governor. And now his resignation sets up a special election to fill his seat. Here's what I don't understand. We all know what he did was despicable, right? But if you know you've done all the things these things. You've sent the photos, you've done all these awful things, and there is proof, which there obviously is proof, because these women say they have photos of him. Why would you run? Why would you run for governor? Are you that arrogant? Like something is mentally wrong with you. Every single San Francisco teacher and educator recently received an email offering them free money. Now if you receive an email saying you won free money, what are you gonna do? Now it's gonna click on it. Wait, how? What do you mean? I think most of us would delete it, right? We would assume that it is a spam email. Yeah, sure. Well, good thing these teachers didn't, at least one of them didn't, because turns out it was legit. So there's a mystery tech millionaire that gave away $1.6 million to San Francisco teachers and educators. So about $250 per teacher, they all got just, just cuts. Okay. That's risky. They didn't, I know, because if it says, click this link and enter your account information, that is very risky. But turns out it was legit, so that's awesome. And speaking of money, friendly reminder, tomorrow is April 15th, which means, "Taste, baby." "Miner done, done, and paid." That's so funny. "Miner done, done, done, and I've been paid." Thank you very much. Oh, wow. Man, I still pay. Dude, I'm so happy. I need your guy then. I need your, if you're getting really back, I'm gonna have to talk to your guy. You don't want to know when I spend interest though in the house. So that's why I'm getting so money from that. Yeah, that's true. You have way more interest than me. But if you do need more time, you can file for an extension. That gives you extra time to finish your return, but not extra time to pay anything you may. Oh, so that is a misconception. So don't skip that part. If you do, oh, you still need to pay that about tomorrow. "Sassy Sports." A little indication for Chapel Rhone, the Brazilian soccer player, Georgino, who accused Chapel of sicking her bodyguard on his 11-year-old daughter and wife at a hotel before a music festival, apologized to Chapel yesterday on Instagram, saying that he now understands that it was not her security, nor did she send the guard to yell at his family. Oh, accountability. Okay. Well, I'm glad that they're seeing it. It is some accountability in the lengthy statement, Georgino, chalked a whole thing up to a misunderstanding and said he regrets the impact the fallout has had on Chapel and his wife and his daughter. He did say Chapel reached out to his wife privately to clear up the situation as well. You know, the daughter is the biological daughter of Jude Law. So there's a lot of components that went into this whole thing. And Chapel was getting it, and I get why she gets it because she does do stuff like this, and she didn't do damage control right. But he also should have handled it differently. Maybe you don't fly off the handle and accuse somebody of something immediately. Maybe he could learn from that. Yeah, blasted on social media too, because it's like, what did you think was going to happen? And yeah, like you said, Chapel Rhone has that reputation already. So of course, no one was going to try to defender on it. They assume like, oh, yeah, she made a little girl cry. Hey, the Warriors eat into the play in round of the NBA playoffs as the 10th and last team. Now the play in round is different as the 10th team. They have to win two games in a row to actually make it into a playoff round. So they've got to beat the Clippers in the first game tomorrow night to even have a shot. Otherwise, they're automatically eliminated the game tomorrow 7 p.m. on Amazon Prime. Despite winning last night, the center was a sharks. They were eliminated from making the playoffs. That's the seventh straight season. They haven't made the playoffs, but it was a good and exciting season and they've got a young team. So the future is bright and quickly a little heated rival reaction in the WNBA. Well, listen to this. Last year, the Dallas Wings drafted page bookers as the number one overall pick out of Yukon. Last night, they drafted her girlfriend, Ozzy Fud as the number one pick out of Yukon. So these two ladies are going to get to the cabin. I guess so. Oh, my god. For the sports. But you know what I always say if there play balls are all over it. Entertainment report. The cello weekend won just wrapped up and honestly, it felt like it was multiple events in one. You had Sabrina Wood. You had Bieber, Chela and Cara, Chela as well. So Friday Sabrina Carpenter, she kicked things off with a huge cinematic. The atric production set and surprise everyone by bringing out Will Ferrell Samuel L Jackson. He was like the Chela spirit guy. So that's the voice that you heard. Susan Sarandon and Sam Elliot during her performance. So she focused more. Melia was there. I didn't see her performance. I didn't see her. Yeah. So she focused more on like actors. She didn't bring out any like people to come. But they were all there in person. Live in the club. They played some kind of role. Yes. So she had like a whole cinematic. My question is, did you find your way in there? What do you mean? Were you in Cachela? Oh, no. I was at home, Chela. Cachela. Like I actually said. We know that. So I would not have been surprised to see her jump off a stage. I thought about it to be honest with you because all three headlines were freaking amazing. I mean, on Saturday, Justin Bieber, he hit the stage and performed a part of his set. Now this was a little controversial. He had at a point just a laptop and was playing YouTube clips of him when he was younger. And he like brought out like, you know, baby. And just like really how he was discovered. I don't know about you. But to me, that was actually really healing. Like that was so healing to see. Like if you haven't watched it, Benny. That I did watch it. Okay. I actually I understand both sides of it, the argument, but I liked it. It was kind of like you were just chilling with your friend like in the garage playing music type thing, right? Just just going through, taking a request, playing what you want, doing a low karaoke. Exactly. I get on the other perspective. I would think just now I'm hearing about this for the first time. But I would be like, I paid a lot of money to get in here for you to do that. Like, yeah, I wouldn't like this. But it was so he got paid $10 million to do that performance. Oh, see. I mean, it's healing for him, but for me, I'd be like, well, heal with your therapist because I paid a lot of money to get into this. These stretch tries were 53 dollars. I mean, I'm watching this. I'm that too. Yeah. But listen, he had good parts of the show where he did bring out people. Like he brought out Kid L'Arroy, Tems, Dejon and WizKid. So like I overall, like I know it's controversial, but I enjoyed it. I think that he did give us a very genuine. Yeah. Like it was a very genuine performance. But yeah, like you said, Greg, some people thought that it was a little lazy. I would have I would have paid. I think I would have paid $100 though for those chicken chicken nuggets with the caviar. I think I would have dropped $100 for that. There were the McDonald's chicken nuggets. But they put a caviar on top. Probably a very little caviar. Make a fancy. And the biggest historic moment of the weekend came from my girl Carol G. She became the first Latina woman to ever headline. Coachella. Okay, long overdue, by the way. But her say it leaned, it leaned heavy into Latin pride. She even had an all women Mariachi that is actually credited on being the first all women Mariachi. That at that point, I mean, I was already in love with the performance. But when they came out, my wife and I were in bed yesterday morning and she watched that twice that all women Mariachi and she was she was so happy for her. She loved it. And I know you said catch, Cella, you watched it at home. This was the first year, right? That like all of the stages, they streamed it live. You could watch every stage live. Yeah, this is the first time that all seven stages were on there and you could actually do split screens. So you were able to watch four stages at the same time. So that's really convenient for like, you know, next year. I got the idea. Let's sit in Benny's garage and then it was all watching together. All right. There you go. And this week Jamie Foxx is coming to the bed. He's bringing a special live performance to the Calvin Simon Cedar in Oakland this Thursday and Friday, the 16th and 17th even bigger. The shows are being filmed for a whole special. So the audience will actually be a part of what ends up on the screen. So you never know you could be on the screen. I'll say this Jamie Foxx's stand up from 20 years ago is still my favorite stand up of all time. And it was filmed in Oakland. It's called I might need security if you haven't watched it. And I think it's free on YouTube. You could watch it. But it was filmed in Oakland and it's hands down one of the funniest standups of all time. Well, I think a lot of people feel that way because these two shows are actually sold out completely like it was too. Yeah, they are sold out. But you know what? We got you because big day mornings does have tickets for you this week. Yes, we're going to be giving those away sometime this morning 7, 20 a.m. every day. Period. There it is. That's your dirty on the 30. Let's play big money minutes. We're playing Nicole and Alameda. Hi, Nicole. Good morning to you. Good morning, guys. Good morning. How are things over at Wine.com Nicole? Why did she say another kind of bottle? Cruising on foot. Yeah. Wine and Hennessy's. since you have the spirits, you can throw the Hennessy in as well. Thank you for the clarity, yes. I'm full and I'm not drunk. Oh, she got Hennessy. You can mix 'em. She likes to mix a lot of stuff. Oh my God, the best thing is a Hennessy Paloma. I'm telling you right now, go get it. Okay, right now? Right now! That's not what you're doing, everybody. We'll be back. All right, Nicole, you ready to play the game for 1,000 bucks? I have ready, I can be-- All right, good luck, it's stars, right? Ready, set, go. What is 6 times 7? 42. Spell irrelevant. I-R-R-E-V-E-L-A-N-T. The cerebral cortex is the outer layer of which organ? Pass. Which TV network uses an eye as its logo? What country is Stonehenge in? If your bill is $50 and you leave a 20% tip, how much did you leave? Ken Jennings is the host of which game show? Oh, what a time! It's hoping to get one. We got the first one. Okay, that's good. And then-- And then the player at 7, she got one as well. All right. Between 20 questions today, we got two correct answers. Everybody's just getting back into swinging things, you know? Yeah. All right. They are. Nicole, no shade, no T. Let's go through these 6 times 7 is 40. Is it the S word? No, it's the S and G instead of T. We're just getting back into swinging things. Yeah, I know I didn't know if you said it. I didn't press the button if you did. Certainly would never. I R-R-E-L-E-V-A-N-T for a relevant, the cerebral cortex, that's the outer layer of the brain. CBS uses the knives, its logo, Stonehenge in England. 20% of 50 would be $10 and Ken Jennings, he is the host of Jeopardy. Oh, right, Nicole. Well, it was nice chatting with you. I know. But we hope you have a fantastic Tuesday. Thank you, you guys. I hope you guys do too. All right, thank you. You still be entering the keywords too. You do that. You've not given up yet. All right. Keep entering them. We'll do another keyword at 9 o'clock for that thousand bucks for pay your bills. All right, you guys have a good one. All right, you too. We'll see you at 1.com. All right. Bay Area cheaters. Beware. Okay, we'll drop your stop, stop. Betty Ellen and Greg are setting the love trap. Front you by Habislaw. Don't fight to make it right. On 99.7. Now. Denys found condoms in her boyfriend's car. Whoa. And he says that there is an innocent explanation. But apparently you don't believe the explanation. Hi, Denys. Hi guys. How are you? We're okay. This sounds like a crazy story. So what happened? Yeah. So about a few weeks ago, I was in Robbie's car. I was looking for gum. Instead, I found L Toid. So I grabbed the tin. I opened it up. And instead of the mint, there were condoms inside. And what? Yeah. Crazy hiding spot. Shocked. And as soon as he saw the look on my face, he kind of asked me what was wrong. And I told him that he needed to find a place to pull over. Damn you are mad, huh? Yeah, I mean, yeah. Because I didn't want to be the reason why we crashed the car. I mean, I don't blame you. I mean, finding condoms is like a very serious thing in any relationship. Yeah. I mean, I was very shocked, you guys. Of course, he pulled over the car at a gas station. And then I showed him. And he acted as shocked as I was. He told me he didn't know where they came from. And of course, I didn't believe that. I mean, I was like a random box of just hidden condoms. Don't fall into your car. And I demanded him tell me why he had them. Well, and also in such a weird spot. I mean, obviously, it looks like he was trying to hide them. What would they be doing in an out-toid box of all things? Exactly. And I did say to him, like, what the hell? And he said the out-words were his. But he had no idea that there was condoms inside there. Until suddenly, he told me that he had to just spend his friend Eddie. And I said, what are you talking about? Why would Eddie do this? And he said Eddie is always pulling pranks. And that he was in his car a few days ago. And that he saw Eddie with the L-toids. So basically, he thinks Eddie did it. He said he must have emptied the container and put those condoms in the tin. And of course, I still don't believe this. Because why would Eddie go to length to do this kind of prank, right? It's just an absurd explanation to me. So I told him to call Eddie because I want to ask Eddie, you know? Oh, you put him on the spot. Okay. Yeah. But we did call him multiple times. But he didn't answer his phone. So Robbie did text him. But never we I didn't hear we just didn't hear back from Eddie. I mean, at least not while I was in the car. So who knows if he texted him himself, I have no idea. Robbie kept on insisting that we had that Eddie was kind of playing this joke on him and doing this prank. I still am not buying it at this point, right? Because it's still very strange. It's not very funny. I don't really like this prank. But Robbie did ease my mind a little when he pointed out that he called Eddie right away on speakerphone in front of me. And if he were lying, he wouldn't have done that. So that's really the only part of the story that kind of makes me feel better about this. Yeah, but Eddie didn't pick up though, right? But you're just saying the fact that he called him right away. He didn't have time to give them the heads up so you'll cover for me. That's what you mean? Yeah, yeah. That's kind of what I mean. So it gave me a little bit more of a piece of mine. But I want to tell you guys like a few days later, we did see Eddie and he came right up to me and apologized for pulling this prank. He got to him and either told him, you know, like, hey, go tell my girl that it was you even though maybe it wasn't. Or if it really was for him to like, you know, go and apologize. Yeah, I just thought it was weird, but he told me that he thought it was funny and that if Robbie found them in his eltoid can, that it was just a funny prank. He said he never really expected me to find them. But you know, I did laugh it off because I was like, okay, I don't really know if I believe this story. It's just all very strange. Even though Eddie did admit to it, there was plenty of time for Robbie to tell Eddie to take the responsibility for it, you know. So I just, I haven't just confused and I don't really know and I'm wondering if it was real or not. I don't know. Well, why don't we call Robbie? Set the love trap? Try to figure out what's up, okay? Big day mornings, home of the love trap. All right. So Denise found something in her boyfriend Robbie's car that makes her think he's been hooking up with another woman. And while he claims that the items in question were left in his car by a buddy as a prank, she thinks he's trying to cover up an affair. She needs us to set the love trap and that's what we're doing right now. Hello. Hi, good morning. May I please speak with Robbie? Yeah, it's Robbie. Who is this? Hey Robbie, what's going on? My name is Chad and I'm calling from Bud Bunny. And we are a brand new flower and plant shop in Saratoga. How are you this morning? Sorry. And I don't, I got to, I mean, I got to get to a meeting. I'm sorry. Do you have a couple of seconds for me? What's this about? It's about a free offer for you. So as a new shop, we are running a grand opening promotion where we're offering local residents free flowers. We're choosing dozen winners a day to receive a dozen roses. Robbie, you are one of today's winners. So congrats. And as a winner, you have two options. We can send these roses to you or to someone of your choice. But we are talking free flowers and free same day delivery. As I said, it's a grand opening promotion. So we're just trying to spread the word and let people know that we're here and we're open. You know, if you say yes, everything is free. No strings attached. I'm not going to charge you for anything. What's the catch of no string attached? No strings attached. Of course, we would love to get your business at a later date next time that you need to purchase flowers or plants. But today is just about you checking out our products and helping us spread the word really. That's it. Okay. How many flowers can we get? It's a dozen roses, dozen red roses and they can be delivered anywhere in the Bay Area. And you said I could send a to someone else? Yeah. Okay. I mean, if it's safe, there's no credit card. It's really coming. Yeah, why not? Sweet. All right. Nice guy. Can you send it to Liz? Liz? Yeah, L.I.Z. Yes, sir. All right. Roses going to Liz. What I'll do is attach a card with the flowers since we're going to send them to someone else. We want Liz to know they're from you. We want you to get the credit. Right now, she's going to say to Liz from Robbie, but you could change that. Or you could add something. Yeah, I could write a message. Um. Could you write? Could you write? Could you write? I get really turned on every time you walk into my office. And like maybe the little devil emoji. That's why you have the columns in your car. For Liz. Sorry. What? Hey, Robbie. My name is not Chad. My name is Benny. I'm not calling from a flower in plant shop. I'm calling them from a radio station. 997. Now you are on the air. And you're on what it's called. The love. of trap. So we catch Bay Area cheaters and your girlfriend Denise reached out to us and now here we are. She is on the phone and she heard everything. We're going to bring her in. Denise, are you there? Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. Slow down for a second. Okay. Did you just set me up? You said what you're doing? Yeah. You know what? You're screwing one of your co-workers. Is that what's going on? This Liz, is this one of your co-workers? God. Hello. Seriously? Seriously? I can't believe you expected me to even believe your dumb f***ing lie. And you know what? And your friend is a f***ing because he lied for you. I can't believe that you are both scumbags. Well, I can't believe that you're both scumbags after all this this whole thing. I'm just, what do you expect? He's my boy. He's my boy. You know that. Of course he's going to be loyal. He's trying to protect me. Yeah. Well, you're my boyfriend. Yeah. Do you think you should be loyal to me? Yeah. Trying to protect her. Yeah. But you know, I guess it just doesn't work that way. And you just had no problem betraying me in all of this. And who is this chick? Who is it? Okay. Liz girl. Have you known her a long time? You call me up and you put me on a radio station and now you're calling now you're like, now you're trying to accuse me of your insulting Liz and you don't even know her. Robbie, where are you? We're already past like the whole, all the putting you on the radio station. I mean, we're already here. And you came up with that pretty elaborate story kind of pulled it out of your, out of your hat there. I mean, I just want to know where the hell came from. And I know you're saying from work, but have I met this girl? Well, I know. Well, do not call her that. Okay. Again, you don't know her. Wait, wait. So now you're going to defend her. So you, so now after all this, after what I found out about you too, you're just going to, you're, you're going to just defend her and you haven't even apologized to me for what you've done. Because why would I call? It's not going to matter. You know what's up now. So there's nothing I can do about it. So I might as well just, I mean, as well just stick with Liz. If you're unbelievable, I mean, I can't even take this. I don't want to see your face. You have nowhere to sleep tonight. Maybe go to sleep at Liz's house because that's where you live now. Welcome, y'all. [Music] You're listening to Big Bay Mornings. Good morning, everyone. Good morning. I'm with Benny Ellen and Greg. That's right. We're back live on your radio. It is Big Mornings with Benny Ellen and Greg. So first question is anyone listening who is back from Coach Hella weekend? Did you go to Coach Hella this past weekend? We want to hear from you. Of course weekend too is this upcoming weekend. I looked at the pictures. I don't think I could do a penny. I just don't, I even saw, you see Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton there. Like she had her entire face cover. Is that, I assume that's for the, like, the sand, the dust and all that stuff. So you're going there. And by the way, and I can talk about this more later, but I had the worst allergy attack I've ever had in my life. It lasted the entire time I was in Amsterdam. I would have died at Coach Hella. You should have dressed like Kim Kardashian and Amsterdam. I guess I should have. People would have thought I was weird. Well, if I could have been with Lewis Hamilton, I definitely would have dressed however I have to dress to be the Lewis Hamilton. But there's just a lot that goes into Coachella. There is, I mean, there's the way. So what you're talking about, it's that Coachella win at night. It sneaks up on you and people want to look cute for Coachella. I get it, but you need to cover up your face. Otherwise, you're going to come back with that Coachella cough that if you've gone, you know what it is. Like you're literally blowing out dust, you know, from your nose when you're, when you're coughing and blowing your nose. And yeah, this is bucket list for you. And you want, you have already started planning to go next year. I have. I've gone only one time. It was 2019 and I went camping and that was a good experience in its own. I learned a lot like, yes, there is some elements. It's not built for everyone. Not everyone can go camping. Ben you. I barely survived. I barely survived. Did you sleep in a car or a tent? Both. I slept in both. The first night because you have day zero. That's Thursday. That's where everybody comes in and start setting up camp. Like that's its own party and experience on its own. But after that, I think that's the only time I slept in a tent. Actually, after that, it was just my car because it was so cold and windy. And I'm like, I'm not doing it, but I was in pain. Well, that's if your tent is even there on night one. Was it Friday night? They showed all the photos of that crazy wind storm dust storm. And they're like, all these concert doors are going to be pissed when they get back to their campsite because tents were literally upside down and and tents are on top of cars. And you're paying thousands of dollars to have this experience. It's not like Burning Man where I'm not saying it doesn't cost to go to Burning Man, but it's not like Burning Man where it's all about trading in m&Ms for things and trying to live off the land. This is your paying. I bet you the average cost is in the tens of thousands to go for a weekend when you're considering having to stay and food and tickets and yada and yada. I think it depends on how you're trying to catch up. There's different ways that you can catch up. Like, yes, you can do the camping and that I mean, that's not cheap either. Like, trust me, people were calling it the poor man's catch up. That is not the poor man's catch up because they still paid hell for their wristbands. I think for general admission, it's a little under $700. If you get it ahead of time, if you were trying to get it on the spot this weekend, it was running up to three grand. Well, this was the most expensive of all time, right? This is the most expensive of all time and it's getting there. But that's like one way, but now you're talking about a little luxurious like you're trying to stay at Airbnb or even a hotel. Oh, forget about it's for sure. Ten's a thousand. But I saw on Instagram a photo of like a VIP tent area, private area for you and ten friends. It was a couch, maybe like a fire pit. I saw there. It's like a renting thing in Vey. Like if that was pool and vague. Yes. Yes. Come in. Come in. Come in. Yeah. Perfect. $70,000 for three days or one for ten people for three days. Okay. Yeah. Sounds right. Coachella is not cheap. Why do you think? What was I think it was in early 2024 or something like that? They started doing payment plans because they knew that like the average percent like myself could not afford to go to Coachella. So we got to get on a page. It's lay away. It's lay away. Y'all remember lay. I worked at Kmart for years in high school in college. I know about lay away. Everybody was putting everything on lay away. Yeah. I'm putting Coachella on lay away. You that's what you plan to do this year? Honestly, I think I might. I'm a little nervous about it just because I don't know how they could top this Coachella. Like this is a pretty historic. They do, but I don't know because I feel like you have a dish is like done it already. This is Ellen's dream. These headliners you have Sabrina, you have Bieber and Carol G. Yeah. And this was like such a healing. Like to me, it just felt like such a healing kind of headliners like Sabrina. She manifested this two years ago and then to see her like really give us that show girl energy like to me, it was just like, guess girl, you know, she she gave us that Justin Bieber. That was so healing like for him to come back and like do some of his hits from when he first started and it was kind of like him remembering himself. So that was nice. And then Carol G. Hello, like she made history. Okay. Can we get back to the lay away? Yeah, the performances in the I'm just so proud of that. But yeah, no, I think I might do it. I think 2027. How much is a ticket for like what if like say I wanted to go and I'm sorry. I can't do the lowest level. Well here according to AI, a total all in Coachella weekend typically cost between 1230,500. Hold on, let's get assistant producer Sleepy Sal. He just got back from Coachella yesterday. He goes every year. Now he does it a little different. I don't know. I know. I know. I mean the poor Mackachala and the like influencer. And also his brother in law gets a bunch of free stuff. So Sal, you got back. First of all, how was it? Amazing. Loved it. Was it healing for you? Was it not? Oh, because the hell it says it's healing. You wasn't healing. Was it where do you put it? You go every year. And you've gone for many years. Where do you put this this this line up and the scheme of things that you? Top five. Top five. Okay. So again, as Greg mentioned, you get a lot of freebies because of your brother in law and what we do for living. But like how much do you think how do you do Coachella? Are you 10 camping? Are you in an Airbnb? And how much do you think your whole weekend would cost? All said and done if you were paying for when I first saw you want to go to the car camp terrible experience. Yeah. Happens blew up one year. That's the year that I went with you. We actually got to think of you got to use like what? Porta Potties and stuff out there. Yeah. Porta Potties, portable showers. Yeah. So you just got to take some kind of opposite to a lot. What's that stuff called the pill to stop you up? Oh, oh, oh, you got to take an emoticon. You never have to put the box of ammonia to we used to do when we run marathon. You're taking a modium. Okay. So we got to take the least two emotions. That's crazy when you blow. Oh my god. Anyways. So first before the cost. How do you do it today? How's your week? VIP spots are you taking care of because we have a house down there. So take that out. It's like a thousand. I would say I spent maybe two. That's not bad. That's what's for a lot. That's pretty large. I would be staying with the main thing is getting that flight down there. The flight down there and coming back probably the most expensive. I'm driving you drive. Yeah. I'm driving for sure. Seven hours. So that sounds like a good four grand though. Like if it wasn't including that. - You're not gonna say, about $4,000. - For mid range experience, for three days, 4K. Ellen, you ready for that? - I am cutting that by half because I haven't asked out yet, but I'm telling you right now, sell that I am staying with you guys. So I'm looking at maybe about two grand. - I put you in at $2,500, 'cause you're gonna spend at least that much. You start putting in $210 a month right now, and you will cover your costs. So that's what you need to do. You need to save two, ten a month. - You got two, ten extra a month? - I do, I can do it. - That's still, that's, you know, - That's so low because you're not considering, I mean, let's think, okay, you are taking, let's say you are flying down there. No one's considering your transportation to the airport before you get out of the Bay Area. That $30 salad, you're gonna get an SFO. - The drinker get on the plane. - You gotta get close outfits. I mean, nobody's gonna, you know, Uber's when you're on the ground there, it all adds up. So I say it's $6,000 minimum. - And she'll figure it out, okay. - Yeah, I figured it out. - I'm gonna always pay $3,000. - $3,000, $3,000. - That's still low. - $250 a month is what you need to start putting away right now, $2,000 a month. And this is a girl who constantly tells me she can't afford a beef stick in our kitchen. She can't afford to be a chef. - Yeah, she can't afford that from our kitchen. (laughing) That's, she tells me that. - I think, because she's saving for Coachella. - I'm saving for Coachella and I'm part of the Connections Committee, so we should be tied up to free jerky 'cause that help plan events here ever. (laughing) - Brass. - All right, well good luck, everybody. And if you went to Coachella, text us, we wanna hear your experience, and is it worth it? - And we'll recap the performances coming up inside Dirty onto 30 at 720 this morning. Just a few minutes away, we have Jamie Foxx, stand up, tickets for you, two shows in Oakland. They're sold out. Be here at 720 for that. Big money minute though. We're set to play next for $1,000. (upbeat music) - Big money minute. We're playing with Cheyenne and Santa Rosa. Hi Cheyenne, good morning. - Good morning. - How's it going Cheyenne? How was your week? - Pretty good, yeah. - Okay. - Nice. Just good and chill, right? - Pretty okay, let's hear it. (laughing) Cheyenne, are you ready to play the big money minute for your shot at $1,000? - I guess so, yeah. - Okay, we hear you nervous, so let's give it a go. - Well, let me just tell you this Cheyenne. The first player of the day, hold on. First player of the day, got one right. - Hi Rachel. - Second player of the day. - Hey. - Second player of the day, got one right. - Hi Nicole. - So Cheyenne, if you get two right, you will be the player of the day. - Woo, yes, girl. (laughing) - Okay. - So you got no pressure on you, what's the way? - All right, so we're going for two out of 10, Cheyenne. Good luck, the game starts. - Man. - Ready, set, go. - Spell Associate or Associate? - It is, yes, or ASS OC IAQ. - 500 pennies is how many dollars? - 500 pennies is $5. - In sports, what does MLB stand for? (soft music) - MLB stands for Major League Baseball. - What county is Sam a tale in? (soft music) - Sam a tale is Sam a tale county. - What color is the center of a dartboard? (soft music) - Usually the center of the dartboard would be red. What herb is used to make Pesto? Three, two, one. I got to click on them, Google searches. (laughing) - Yeah, everybody. - What happened? - Everybody. Dang, that's the Bible. - Cheyenne, you killed the other player. - Well, you got five of them too. - You got, yeah, we weren't fast enough. We only got five, got through six. And you got five on broad. Associate, you spoke correctly. 500 pennies is $5. MLB is Major League Baseball, Sam a tale in Sam a tale county. Center of a dartboard is a red and the herb that's used to make Pesto is a basil. So in today's comparison, you win. - Win or winner, chicken, dinner. - Oh my god. - Or a Cheyenne. Well, you did great. We hope you have an amazing Tuesday. - Thank you. - All right, take care. Now, Ellen, I know that you hate all sauces and condiments and anything. - Yeah. - How do you feel about Pesto? - Chicken Pesto sandwich or something like that. - You know, I'm not mad at Pesto. I'll actually do, but it has to be like a little bit. - Just a little bit. - Just a little bit. - Just a little bit. - Just a little bit. - Just a little bit. Like the Pesto Pasta and stuff like that. - You go with that. - I'm good with that. - All right. - But it has to be just a light coat. - Ellen hates everything. - Everything's white and all sauces. - Cheese. - All condiments, cheese. - Dude, you would have not. I don't know if you could have made it like in Amsterdam. They love, they're obsessed with cheese. Every cheese possible. One of the things they're most known for are their cheese shops. They insist that a good, somebody from Holland, a Dutch person, that they eat cheese every day. They do not skip a day of cheese. Like it is majorly in there. - I could get with that. - Yeah. - And a stinkier of the better. - I have a big hunk of asparagus cheese that I can bring in here. You want, I mean, I'll share it with you. - Yes, they have all different, they have, how they try for any food. - It's in a big, Ryan, the guy said, "I know you wouldn't believe that." - I'm just curious 'cause that flight is how long? - I just want to know how long that cheese was up. - It's in a big thing. Look, you can keep that, he said, without refrigerating it for a month. - Real, without refrigerating. - Without refrigeration, 'cause it's in the big, Ryan thing. So, I'll bring it in tomorrow and show you. - Oh, so exciting. - They play differently. They don't pasteurize everything. They're not, like, they sold fresh eggs. They're just sitting out. They're not refrigerated. They just have fresh eggs out and about. - You're not eating that raw milk or drinking that raw milk, though, right? - I don't drink milk. - Okay, good. - Maybe what do you think I should do? - I'm sure they have an order of glass of milk. - Well, I don't know what you're putting in your coffee. - Make sure it wasn't that raw milk. - That was a little annoying. They only had an oat milk, which I'm like, come on. You got to have some-- - Oh, I mean, starch milk. - Yeah. - Little sweeter than that. - I don't know. I mean, it all sounds delicious, but that's why it is hard whenever I travel or bake. I know they say to, like, you want to go try different foods and different things, but then I just, it's hard. I sometimes dip my finger into something, and I give it a little fork taste, like the tip of the fork, but I can't. - You better watch what you dip your finger and when you're traveling. - All right, we're coming back with Sound Check.
