(upbeat music) Welcome to two guys talking shh it. (upbeat music) So James, we are launching two guys talking shh it. James, let's start what we hope to achieve with this podcast, what we're hoping to do. We hope to have a new podcast in the gastroenterology world with information, literature, keeping people up to date and education overall, because I think it's something that's vastly needed. And what are you hoping to get out of this, John? - I think more or less the same as you, James, to really stretch what we can do in terms of reaching people and teaching people. We hope to get some guests on board, perhaps, some leading authors of different things. And what's really nice about these, James, I think both you and I have a very different interests. And I think that hopefully we'll have some synergy where we can discuss topics from different perspectives. I'm more of an IBD guy, whereas I'll let you introduce yourself, perhaps, what you do, I'm more of a hepatology guy. And I figure, if we add one IBD guy plus one hepatology guy, we get half a gastroenterologist. So, and we'll get the guests to fill out the other half for us. - That's exactly what I thought. So James, let's discuss what we'll do with this, perhaps, we'll probably try and do at the start a monthly podcast on all different parts of gastroenterology, trying to get a guest in where we can, trying for it to be educational and fun. And, you know, we're open to suggestions and feedback in criticisms, as I'm sure we get. And mostly, let's have some fun with this, I hope. And above all, we're just gonna talk a bit of it and enjoy it over time. So, hopefully, everyone else will enjoy it, too, and we'll get the ball rolling soon. - We have some great guests lined up. I'm really excited to try and get them on and to talk about this should be lots of fun. So, James, I guess, as this is our first podcast, I thought we'd probably do a bit of intros of who we are. To start with me, my name's John Siegel. I'm a consultant gastroenterologist here in Australia, moved from the UK with a specialist interest in inflammatory bowel disease. I passed over to you to introduce yourself, James. I'm James Herady. I'm a gastroenterologist here in Melbourne, Australia, and born and bred in Australia, hepatologist with an academic interest in anything liver, but I also enjoy a lot of general gastroenterology as well. So, I'm open to anything. - James, I hope this will be a podcast where you and I can debate differences of opinion and perhaps discuss some novel takes in gastroenterology and most will be informative and fun.
